Location: London, United Kingdom - Deliveroo
Our Global Structure
Deliveroo is now part of DoorDash, bringing together teams with even greater reach, scale, and ambition. Depending on your role, you may collaborate with teammates, systems, and leaders across DoorDash and Wolt. Together, we’re unlocking new possibilities as one global team.
Senior Software Engineer, GenAI Platform
About the Team
Deliveroo's GenAI Platform team sits within Machine Learning Platform and builds the shared infrastructure that helps DoorDash, Wolt, and Deliveroo teams safely bring GenAI-powered products, agents, automation, and personalisation to production. Our mission is to increase the velocity of business impact from GenAI. A central pillar of that work is running frontier open-weight LLMs and VLMs (such as GLM, Qwen, Kimi, and DeepSeek) ourselves — real-time GPU serving, high-throughput batch inference, and fine-tuning on autoscaling GPUs — delivering large cost and latency wins (for example, a billion embeddings produced roughly 20× cheaper and visual models served roughly 72% cheaper). We also own core platform surfaces including the LLM Gateway, Agent Gateway, evals infrastructure, guardrails, and cost attribution.
About the Role
You will join a small, high-leverage team building production infrastructure for Generative AI at Deliveroo and DoorDash, leading the design and architecture of our open-weights model platform spanning inference and fine-tuning: real-time GPU serving, high-throughput batch inference, and model fine-tuning. You’ll set technical direction across model serving and inference engines, fine-tuning and training pipelines, GPU autoscaling and utilization, batch pipelines, backend services, and observability, and mentor engineers as you go. This role is ideal for a senior engineer who enjoys owning ambiguous, high-impact systems and pushing the cost/performance frontier of GPU inference and fine-tuning in a fast-moving technical area where product needs, model capabilities, vendor ecosystems, and cost/performance tradeoffs are evolving quickly.
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…
Lead the design of infrastructure that helps teams move GenAI ideas from prototype to production, increasing the velocity of business impact from AI across the company.
Own and evolve our open-weights serving stack — real-time GPU endpoints, high-throughput batch inference, and fine-tuning (SFT/DPO/LoRA) — alongside the LLM Gateway, Agent Gateway, evals infrastructure, guardrails, and cost attribution.
Architect scalable, high-performance systems for model serving, batch inference, GPU autoscaling, and fine-tuning that power real customer and internal automation use cases
Push the cost and latency frontier of GPU inference — turning batch jobs that took days into hours and cutting inference cost by multiples — while giving product teams a clean choice across open-weight and closed-source models with reliability, fallback, observability, and cost controls built in.
Build platforms that support rapid experimentation while meeting production standards for latency, scale, monitoring, SLOs, playbooks, and operational excellence.
Partner closely with — and raise the technical bar for — ML engineers, product engineers, data scientists, and platform teams across DoorDash, Wolt, and Deliveroo to turn emerging GenAI capabilities into durable platform primitives.
Set technical direction for the future of the company's centralised GenAI platform — including emerging directions such as reinforcement learning (RLHF/RLVR), agent optimisation, and other post-training and agentic techniques — enabling the next generation of AI-powered products, agents, automation, and personalisation.
We’re excited about you because…

Our Security and IT team keeps the 360Learning platform secure, compliant and auditable for the 1,500 organisations that learn on it every day. As a Senior DevSecOps Engineer, your mission is to make our infrastructure secure by design, detectable by default, and provable at audit time.
360Learning runs its learning platform on Azure and Kubernetes, certified ISO 27001:2022 and SOC 2 Type II. Over the past two years the technical security workload has grown on every front: a larger and more regulated customer base sending their own scans and security assessments, a wider detection and response scope, more infrastructure to keep hardened and auditable, and a growing backlog of security engineering projects that never reach the top of the queue.
We are creating this position to add real technical capacity on the infrastructure side of security, and to move part of our security posture from manual effort to automated guardrails. You will be the bridge between security and platform engineering: deep enough in infrastructure to fix things yourself, and close enough to security operations to know what to look for.
“Ours is a small, senior team with a broad scope: information security, compliance, infrastructure governance and internal tooling, with dual audit accountability on ISO 27001:2022 and SOC 2 Type II. That means direct impact and no layers between you and the decision. Roughly half of this role is greenfield build work you will own end to end.” Guillaume Seigneuret, CISO and Hiring Coach.
Within 1 month, you will:
Complete our onboarding and learn how we work through our own platform and our Convexity culture
Map our Azure and AKS environment, our detection and logging coverage, and our ISO 27001 and SOC 2 control scope with the CISO and the Security Engineer
Meet the DevOps, platform engineering and IT teams you will work with daily
Shadow alert triage and one customer security assessment end to end
Within 3 months, you will:
Be autonomous on our AKS and Azure environment and handle infrastructure related alerts end to end
Have shipped at least one concrete hardening or automation improvement in production
Own the infrastructure scope of vulnerability management, from triage to remediation follow up
Within 6 months, you will:
Have the honeypot live and producing high fidelity alerts
Have measurably widened SIEM connector coverage, with documented log sources and retention
Run infrastructure vulnerability remediation on a predictable cycle with SLA reporting
Within 12 months, you will:
Manage detection content as code, with reviewed and tested rules and documented runbooks
Have largely automated audit evidence on the infrastructure scope
Have eliminated long lived credentials on the critical paths, so engineering teams ship on secure defaults they did not have to think about
The Skill Set:
5+ years in infrastructure, cloud or platform engineering with a strong security focus, or in security engineering with hands on infrastructure practice
Production experience with Kubernetes: RBAC, network policies, admission controllers, secrets handling, workload identity, runtime security
Solid cloud experience, ideally Azure. Strong AWS or Google Cloud experience with a genuine interest in converting works too
Infrastructure as code: Terraform, GitOps workflows, CI/CD pipelines
Scripting and automation: Python or Go, plus shell. Comfortable reading and writing code, and opening pull requests on repositories owned by other teams
Log analysis and investigation: cloud audit logs, query languages, correlation across identity, network and application sources
Fluent English (US/UK) / B2 level or equivalent (FR).

About Semaphore:
Semaphore is a remote-first software company building continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) products for engineering teams. Their customers rely on Semaphore Cloud and self-hosted enterprise products to build, test, and deliver software securely and reliably. The company has extensive experience building developer infrastructure at scale and is now creating new products and capabilities for a world increasingly built by people working with AI coding agents.
About the role:
The Senior Product Engineer will take important ideas from early, ambiguous problems to useful products running in production. The role involves working across product and engineering boundaries: understanding users, shaping solutions, making technical decisions, building systems, and improving them based on real use. Responsibilities include extending mature Semaphore products and starting small experiments or new products. The focus is on achieving strong outcomes rather than completing predefined tickets. AI coding agents are integrated into daily workflows and expected to be used fluently to explore, build, test, and ship faster. The role requires accountability for choosing the right problems, setting direction, making trade-offs, reviewing outputs, and ensuring coherence, reliability, and maintainability. Strong ownership, initiative, taste, and judgment are essential, with comfort moving between product questions, system design, code, infrastructure, and user experience.
What you will own:
— Take product ideas from problem definition through design, implementation, rollout, and iteration, including experiments that may grow into standalone products.
— Work directly with users and internal stakeholders to identify real problems, decide what is worth building, and make pragmatic scope and architecture decisions.
— Build across backend services, APIs, infrastructure-facing components, and focused frontend experiences, reusing proven Semaphore systems before introducing new infrastructure.
— Use AI coding agents effectively while maintaining high standards for correctness, security, clarity, and product quality.
— Own the production outcome, including reliability, observability, supportability, and compliance with Semaphore's security requirements.
— Communicate decisions, progress, and risks clearly.
What we are looking for:
— Proven track record of independently shipping meaningful software products or major product capabilities.
— Strong product judgment to identify essential user problems, reduce unnecessary scope, and recognize when an experience is ready to ship.
— Strong engineering judgment in system design, implementation, reliability, and maintainability.
— Strong backend and systems fundamentals including APIs, asynchronous processing, service boundaries, state and lifecycle management, retries, idempotency, and failure recovery.
— Comfort with infrastructure concepts such as virtual machines, storage, networking, authentication, secrets, containers, and cloud platforms.
— Ability to navigate a polyglot environment; Semaphore systems include Go, Elixir, Ruby, React, and related technologies, though expertise in every language is not required.
— Enough frontend capability to build or extend focused product user experiences without relying on a separate team.
— Fluency with modern AI-assisted development including decomposing work for agents, supplying useful context, reviewing generated changes, and building verification into workflows.
— Initiative and persistence, ability to make progress with incomplete information, surface risks early, and involve others when needed.
— Strong written and spoken English and experience working independently in a remote, asynchronous team.
— Emphasis on quality and ownership over years of experience or exact stack match.
Nice to have:
— Experience building developer tools, CI/CD systems, cloud platforms, or infrastructure products.
— Hands-on experience with distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
— Experience evolving a mature codebase while introducing new products or architectures.
— Experience in lean environments where senior engineers participate directly in product discovery and customer conversations.
What success looks like within first three months:
— Ownership of a meaningful product problem and shipping a useful capability to production.
— Demonstrated good product taste, clear technical decisions, and disciplined scope.
— Learning enough of Semaphore's platform to reuse strengths and avoid unnecessary reinvention.
— Using AI coding agents to increase output while maintaining understandable, tested, and reliable systems.
— Faster product and engineering decisions due to clear options, sound calls, and follow-through.
— Gaining team trust to drive ambiguous new products or features to strong results.
How you will work:
— Senior individual contributor role with broad ownership.
— Close collaboration with engineering, product, infrastructure, and company leadership.
— Small teams with direct communication and expectation of exercising judgment.
— Opportunity to shape both product and implementation.
— Responsibility for the whole outcome: what gets built, why it matters, how well it works, and post-shipment results.

About the role
CertiK works with banks, regulators and regulated financial institutions that adopt digital assets. We build regulatory technology for these markets, and we are hiring a lead product manager to own what we build next for these clients.

Run discovery with clients and prospects, on site and remotely, and work closely with the solutions consultants to set the agenda for what they learn in the field
Build and run a discovery channel of your own: a panel of compliance, risk and operations practitioners at banks, VASPs and regulators for structured (including paid) interviews, so requirements never depend on a single client
Convert client conversations and consultant findings into actionable, prioritized product and feature decisions, with the reason behind each request documented, and defend the ranking to leadership

Join Business Development and consultants on key client visits, primarily in the US, with occasional travel to Europe, the Middle East and other markets
Own the roadmap conversation with the CEO, Business Development and Engineering

Native or fully proficient English, with professional presentation skills to senior compliance, risk and regulatory audiences
Established prioritization framework and a record of turning customer input into shipped features
Sufficient technical fluency to challenge engineering decisions and hold a position under pushback
Directs discovery through others as well as first-hand: part of the customer input comes via consultants, and the role sets their agenda
Regular travel within the US and international travel as required
Bonus points
Prior product experience at a blockchain intelligence or crypto compliance platform
Familiarity with FATF, Travel Rule, sanctions or MiCA-type requirements as they apply to digital assets
Familiarity with US, UK or EU digital asset regulation
Experience working with regulators or on regulatory tenders
This role must be performed outside the United States. We are unable to consider candidates who will work from within the U.S.

You will operate as the senior technical leader across multiple services, owning the architecture for problems that span multiple quarters and organizational boundaries, and you will be accountable for how the platform scales, performs, and stays available as customer demand grows. You will author and defend the designs that go to Twilio's architecture review boards, make tradeoff decisions that carry long term consequences, and raise the engineering bar across a team distributed across the world. Additionally, you will have significant influence on roadmap priorities and on how Flex delivers against Twilio's goal of being the world's most trusted customer engagement platform.
If you thrive in fast-moving environments, enjoy working on scalable systems, and are passionate about building high-performance backend services, this role is for you.

Design, develop, and maintain backend services that power Twilio Flex’s high scale TaskRouter system.
Set and own the technical direction for a set of high scale, business critical backend services running on AWS, and hold the architectural vision as it evolves
Lead the design of large distributed systems changes, covering scalability, data architecture, fault isolation, and migration strategy
Raise availability and resilience for Tier 0 systems, and make deliberate tradeoffs between reliability, cost, and delivery speed
Partner with peer engineering teams, platform teams, and product to align on designs and unblock shared dependencies
Raise the engineering bar through design review, code review, and direct mentorship of senior and mid level engineers
Drive operational excellence through observability, gamedays, incident response, and converting recurring issues into permanent fixes
Influence roadmap priorities with engineering and product leadership, and represent the team's technical position across the wider organization

If your career is just starting or hasn't followed a traditional path, don't let that stop you from considering Twilio. We are always looking for people who will bring something new to the table!
