About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
As the EMEA AE Lead, Beneficial Deployments at Anthropic, you'll build and lead a foundational sales team driving Claude adoption across mission-driven organisations in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. You'll leverage your consultative sales expertise and passion for social impact to secure strategic partnerships with nonprofits, foundations, INGOs, educational institutions, and social enterprises across the EMEA market.
This is a player-coach role requiring someone who can personally close complex deals while building a high-performing regional team. You'll operate with significant autonomy across time zones while maintaining tight alignment with global strategy. Our team and verticals are evolving rapidly—the ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, is energised by building from scratch, and can flex across changing priorities as we learn what works.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in the EMEA nonprofit or social impact technology landscape, established relationships with mission-driven institutions, and a proven track record of building teams that drive revenue and mission impact simultaneously.
Role Focus
This role will lead EMEA sales efforts across Beneficial Deployments verticals, which currently include:
Nonprofits & Foundations:
INGOs, charitable trusts, foundations, and social enterprises across Europe, Middle East, and Africa. Navigate federated organisational structures, EU/UK regulatory requirements, and diverse funding mechanisms.
Emerging Markets:
Partnerships in Africa and India with organisations driving social impact at scale.
Note: Verticals and priorities may evolve as the team learns and grows. We're looking for someone comfortable with a shifting remit who can help shape what this role becomes.
Responsibilities
Win new business and drive revenue for Anthropic within EMEA mission-driven organisations. Navigate complex multi-stakeholder ecosystems to reach decision-makers, educate them about Claude, and help them succeed with Anthropic
Build and lead a regional team supporting EMEA customers, both inbound and outbound. Establish team structure, hiring priorities, and operational processes for scaling—while rolling up your sleeves to close deals yourself
Design and execute innovative sales strategies tailored to diverse EMEA contexts: nonprofit budget cycles and grant timelines, foundation giving patterns, and varying regulatory environments across jurisdictions
Navigate complex stakeholder ecosystems including INGO executive teams, foundation programme officers, trustees, executive directors, and IT departments to build consensus
Develop and maintain relationships with key EMEA ecosystem players: nonprofit networks (Bond, NCVO, European Foundation Centre), education networks, and implementation partners
Inform product roadmaps by gathering feedback from EMEA nonprofit and education users. Provide insights on regional requirements including data sovereignty, language support, and compliance needs
Continuously refine the EMEA sales methodology by incorporating learnings into playbooks, templates, and best practices. Adapt global processes for regional contexts while contributing insights back to the global team
Ensure all sales activities comply with relevant data protection regulations (GDPR, UK GDPR) and address customer concerns about data sovereignty, AI ethics, and responsible deployment
Partner effectively with SF-based teams across time zones, maintaining regular cadence with the Beneficial Deployments Lead and cross-functional stakeholders while operating with significant regional autonomy
Help shape team processes and culture as we scale from 1 to N
You May Be a Good Fit If You Have
8+ years of B2B sales experience in nonprofit technology, EdTech, or social impact sectors, preferably in EMEA SaaS or emerging technologies
Track record of managing complex sales cycles within nonprofits, INGOs, foundations, or educational institutions, securing strategic deals by understanding both mission requirements and technical needs
Experience building and scaling sales teams, with proven ability to recruit, develop, and retain top talent while operating across multiple time zones and cultural contexts
Deep understanding of nonprofit or education sector operations, including INGO federated structures, European foundation giving, UK charity sector dynamics, and/or higher education procurement
Demonstrated ability to navigate diverse stakeholder ecosystems including trustees, executive directors, programme officers, and procurement committees
A scrappy mentality—comfortable wearing multiple hats, building from scratch, driving clarity in ambiguous situations, and doing whatever it takes to further the mission
Strong understanding of GDPR and UK data protection, with ability to address customer concerns about AI ethics and responsible deployment
Proven experience exceeding revenue targets while operating autonomously, managing an evolving pipeline across multiple market segments and time zones
Excellent communication skills with ability to adapt style across cultural contexts
Fluency in English required; proficiency in French valued given Francophone Africa coverage; additional European languages a plus
A genuine passion for social impact and experience with or commitment to advancing mission-driven work through technology
Strong Candidates May Also Have
Active involvement in the EMEA nonprofit or education community through board service, advisory roles, or sector leadership
Existing relationships with major INGOs (Save the Children, Oxfam, IRC, MSF, CARE, World Vision), foundations, or educational institutions
Familiarity with nonprofit data privacy requirements, AI ethics frameworks, and responsible technology deployment
Track record of building strategic partnerships with foundations or philanthropic advisors
Experience presenting at nonprofit conferences (Bond Conference, NCVO Conference, Skoll World Forum) or education forums
Understanding of specific verticals: education technology, digital health, financial inclusion/economic mobility programs

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

Ubuntu is the most widely used Linux distribution in the world, delivering kernels across a vast matrix of versions, architectures, and configurations – with up to 15 years of security and maintenance commitments for Long Term Support (LTS) releases. Ensuring the quality and reliability of these kernels demands a dedicated, systematic approach to testing at scale.
The Canonical Kernel Team is looking for a Test Engineer to take ownership of our kernel testing strategy and infrastructure. You will design and maintain test plans covering functional correctness, stability, performance, and security. You will build and evolve automated test frameworks – including stress testing, fuzzing, code coverage analysis, and regression detection – that not only must remain effective across many concurrently supported kernel versions spanning years of maintenance, but must be able to scale with the high demand for Ubuntu kernels (currently more than 160 under active support).
The successful candidate will bring strong Python skills, familiarity with Linux kernel internals, and experience building test infrastructure that scales. You will work closely with kernel engineers to catch regressions early, validate fixes, and ensure every kernel we ship meets the highest standards of reliability.

Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test plans covering functional correctness, stability, performance, and security for Ubuntu Linux kernels
Build and improve automated test infrastructure for continuous kernel quality validation across multiple kernel versions and architectures
Maintain long-lived test suites that evolve alongside Ubuntu’s many concurrently supported kernel versions spanning years of maintenance
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for continuous kernel quality validation
Conduct performance benchmarking and regression detection across kernel releases
Measure and improve kernel code coverage, identifying gaps in test coverage and creating tests to address them
Execute and analyze stress tests covering CPU scheduling, memory management, I/O subsystems, networking, and filesystem workloads
Develop and maintain fuzzing harnesses to discover kernel vulnerabilities and reliability issues using tools such as syzkaller, Trinity, or custom fuzzers
Collaborate regularly and proactively with a globally distributed team
Contribute to upstream test suites and testing frameworks
Document test methodologies, results, and coverage gaps
What we are looking for in you
Significant programming experience in Python
Experience with test frameworks such as LTP, kselftest, xfstests, stress-ng, fio, or similar
Experience designing and executing system-level tests: functional, stress, performance, or regression testing
Familiarity with CI/CD systems (Jenkins, GitHub CI, or similar)
Experience maintaining test suites over long periods, adapting to evolving software across multiple supported versions
Familiarity with Linux (Ubuntu or Debian preferred but not required), Linux kernel internals and subsystems
Experience with Linux systems administration and automation
Solid background with git
Well-organized, self-starting and able to deliver to fixed schedules
Professional written and spoken English with excellent communication skills
Ability to travel twice a year, for company events up to two weeks each

Experience with code coverage instrumentation (e.g. gcov, kcov, LLVM source-based coverage)
Knowledge of kernel tracing and observability tools (e.g. ftrace, perf, bpftrace, eBPF)
Familiarity with static analysis tools (e.g. sparse, smatch, Coccinelle) as part of a testing workflow
Experience with fault injection frameworks (e.g. failslab, fail_make_request) for reliability testing
Prior experience with test infrastructure at scale (provisioning, orchestration, result aggregation)
Experience with Ubuntu/Debian packaging or Snap
Knowledge of virtualization technologies (KVM, QEMU) and container runtimes
Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS, GCP, Azure, or OpenStack)
Prior involvement with open source testing communities or projects

Supabase is the Postgres development platform, built by developers for developers. We provide a complete backend solution including Database, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions, Realtime, and Vector Search. All services are deeply integrated and designed for growth.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for an engineer to drive the evolution of OrioleDB https://www.orioledb.com and its collaboration with the upstream PostgreSQL community. OrioleDB is a next-generation storage engine for PostgreSQL, and this role sits at the intersection of database internals, open source community work, and Supabase's managed Postgres platform.
This role requires strong working overlap with Americas time zones due to production support and on-call responsibilities.
What you'll work on
- New OrioleDB features. Design and implement new capabilities in OrioleDB — for example, native index access methods (GiST, GIN, HNSW for pgvector), disaster recovery tooling, and other storage-engine-level features that expand what OrioleDB can do.
- Stability. Strengthen OrioleDB's reliability through deeper test coverage, fault injection, crash and recovery testing, and improvements to CI infrastructure. Ensure regressions are caught early and that OrioleDB behaves predictably under stress, replication, and failure scenarios.
- Upstream collaboration. Contribute changes directly to PostgreSQL core. Part of OrioleDB lives as a patch on top of PostgreSQL — moving the right pieces upstream shrinks what we maintain ourselves and benefits the wider community. This happens through PostgreSQL's open development process: the pgsql-hackers mailing list, public code review, and commitfests.
- Supabase integration. Work with Supabase's Postgres team to ensure OrioleDB fits naturally into Supabase's managed offering and roadmap.
YOU WILL:
- Design, implement, and test new OrioleDB features and integrate them cleanly with PostgreSQL's planner, executor, and surrounding subsystems.
- Build out and maintain test infrastructure: regression suites, fuzzing, randomized testing, crash and recovery testing, and CI pipelines.
- Identify and prepare patches suitable for upstreaming to PostgreSQL core.
- Improve performance, resilience, monitoring, and operational tooling for production use.
- Debug and resolve complex issues in low-level C code, including in storage, replication, indexing, and query execution paths.
- Participate in design discussions, architecture reviews, and code reviews — both inside Supabase and in the PostgreSQL community.
- Write clear technical documentation, design notes, and upstream proposals.
- Contribute to troubleshooting, analyzing, supporting and maintaining OrioleDB in production deployments. This can include answering support ticket requests, an on-call rotation, and supporting our team members in troubleshooting and fixing live customer production databases.
YOU ARE:
- An existing PostgreSQL core contributor or have equivalent experience in Database internals.
- An expert C programmer with 8+ years of production experience with focus on low-level systems programming
- Deeply familiar with PostgreSQL’s codebase, build system, and extension APIs.
- Have experience designing or implementing database storage engines, index structures, or query execution components.
- Comfortable contributing to community‑driven, upstream open source projects.
- Proficient in debugging and profiling complex C code in a database context.
- Able to write clear technical documentation and explain design trade‑offs.
- A strong communicator, committed to an open and collaborative development process.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Fully Remote
We hire globally. We believe you can do your best work from anywhere. There are no Supabase offices, but we provide a WeWork membership or co-working allowance you can use anywhere in the world.
- ESOP
Every team member receives ESOP (equity ownership) in the company. We want everyone to share in the upside of what we’re building together.
- Tech Allowance
Use this budget to set up your ideal work environment—laptop, monitor, headphones, or whatever helps you do your best work.
- Health Benefits
Supabase covers 100% of health insurance for employees and 80% for dependents, wherever you are. Your wellbeing and your family’s health are important to us.
- Annual Off-Sites
Once a year, the entire company gathers in a new city for a week of connection, collaboration, and fun. It’s a highlight of our year.
- Flexible Work
We operate asynchronously and trust you to manage your own time. You know what needs to be done and when.
- Professional Development
Every team member receives an annual education allowance to spend on learning—courses, books, conferences, or anything that supports your growth.
ABOUT THE TEAM
Supabase was born-remote and open-source-first. We believe our globally distributed team is our secret weapon in building tools developers love.
- ~400 team members
- 60+ countries
- 20+ languages spoken
- Over $1B raised (including our $500M Series F)
- 540,000+ community members
We move fast, build in public, and use what we ship. If it’s in your project, we probably use it in ours too. We believe deeply in the open-source ecosystem and strive to support—not replace—existing tools and communities.

About GiveDirectly
What if the most effective way to fight poverty was also the simplest: give people money and trust them to decide what they need?
Since 2011, GiveDirectly has proven that idea at scale. We’ve delivered more than $1B in cash directly to 2+ million people living in poverty and crisis across 15 countries, and rigorous research shows the results: healthier kids, stronger businesses, sturdier homes, and more resilient families and local economies. Cash is now widely recognized as one of the most scalable, cost-effective, and dignified forms of aid.
Our ambition goes beyond our own programs. We want cash to become the benchmark for aid, much as the index fund became the benchmark for investing, so that every aid dollar is held to one question:
is this doing more good than giving the money directly to people living in poverty?
We’re growing fast, and this is a rare and important moment to join.
We expect to hit $1B in revenue in 2026 with significant growth forecast for 2027. At the same time we are building a new technology stack and operating model designed for a roughly 10x change in scale, and we are actively pursuing partnerships with major funders to move even more money in bigger ways, to people who need it. We are known for our extensive integration of technology into field processes; our quantitative approach to performance measurement; and our commitment to rigorous, independent, experimental evaluation of our impact, with multiple Randomized Control Trials completed and others in progress.
How we work
Our team spans 20+ countries and 69 languages. Our culture is candid, analytical, and non-hierarchical. We expect high ownership and give people real responsibility early. Our values are central to how we hire, work, and grow, and they are deliberately opinionated:
Recipients first.
Recipients’ preferences come before those of donors or ourselves.
Team next.
We optimize for organizational success, not individual success.
Be proactively candid.
We say what we believe and share information openly.
Create positive energy.
We aim to be a source of energy for colleagues, not a drain.
Think rigorously; act quickly.
We reason from first principles, then act rather than debate.
Know yourself and grow.
We own our imperfections and seek feedback to grow.
Accept reality. Propose solutions.
We focus on what can change and bring solutions, not just problems.
Be productively ambitious.
We take risks for step-change impact, not incremental progress.
If they describe how you like to work and they energize you, this could be a great fit.

Role Overview
GiveDirectly Malawi has grown steadily since its introduction in 2019 and in 2025 launched our most ambitious program and research agenda yet, delivering funds across an entire district alongside the largest-ever randomised trial on unconditional cash. To deliver our ambitious plans for scale, we are looking for a Human Resources Manager who can operate as a strategic, agile thought partner to the Country Director someone with a strong grasp of Malawi labour law and demonstrated, hands-on experience across the HR lifecycle, who is just as comfortable advising on organisational design and workforce risk as they are personally running payroll and compensation. The HR Manager ensures that GiveDirectly Malawi attracts, develops, and retains the talent needed to deliver on our mission, focus on the strategic and technical work that most shapes the organisation's ability to perform.
The role will reward exceptional interpersonal skills, sound judgement in navigating people and organisational challenges, and a deep commitment to building a workplace where staff feel supported, valued, and connected to the work. As GiveDirectly continues to scale, this role ensures that our people practices are consistent, compliant, and fit for purpose, balancing the pace of a fast-growing organisation with the rigour and care that good HR demands and doing so with the agility to build or improve systems rather than simply administer the ones already in place. The HR Manager will play a critical role in strengthening the infrastructure of the country office, designing and improving systems for recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and staff development that can grow with the organisation. This position also plays an important role in safeguarding organisational culture and integrity, supporting leadership in upholding GiveDirectly's values and ensuring staff experience reflects the standards we set for ourselves.
Strategic Partnership & Talent Management
Serve as a strategic thought partner to the Country Director on organisational design, workforce planning, and people-related risk
Own the end-to-end recruitment process for all open positions in Malawi, partnering with hiring managers to define role requirements, develop job descriptions, and build targeted sourcing strategies that attract strong candidates from various talent pools.
Lead candidate screening and selection, including structured CV reviews, interview coordination, and skills assessments where relevant, ensuring a consistent, respectful, and efficient experience for all candidates from application through to offer.
Lead periodic salary benchmarking exercises using credible market data and sector comparators, producing clear analysis and recommendations to ensure GiveDirectly's compensation remains competitive, internally equitable, and aligned with local labour market realities.
Drive professional development planning across the team, working with managers and staff to identify individual growth needs, co-create learning plans, and source, coordinate, and evaluate training interventions both internal and external that build capability at every level of the organisation.
Payroll & Compliance
Personally manage payroll, ensuring salaries, relevant allowances, and other entitlements are processed accurately, on time, and in compliance with both internal policies and local labour regulations
Act as the primary point of contact for staff on HR policy questions, providing clear, fair, and consistent guidance, and lead the management of disciplinary and grievance processes in line with GiveDirectly's HR manual and Malawi labour law.
Design and continuously improve a structured onboarding programme for all new hires, covering orientation on GiveDirectly's HR manual, policies, and organisational values, as well as seamless set-up of benefits enrolment, payroll, and system access from day one.
Actively identify opportunities to modernise or automate HR processes
Administration & Record-Keeping (in partnership with the HR Associate)
.
Set direction and quality standards for staff benefits administration, leave management, and timesheet processes, with the HR Associate handling day-to-day coordination, vendor liaison, and record maintenance.
Maintain oversight of accurate, confidential, and audit-ready personnel files for all staff, ensuring records are kept in line with GiveDirectly's data policies, local labour regulations, and best-practice HR record-keeping standards.
Performance Management & Tracking
Provide support during the performance review cycle including stakeholder communications, documentation, and ensuring HR systems and records are promptly updated to reflect any changes in role, title, or compensation.
Work closely with the Country Director and line managers to identify and action professional development opportunities for staff, tracking individual development plans and following up to ensure commitments translate into tangible growth.
Organisational Culture & Engagement
Take ownership of planning and delivering a calendar of team-building activities and staff engagement events that strengthen relationships, sustain morale, and reinforce a sense of shared purpose across the Malawi team.
Proactively generate and champion initiatives that bring GiveDirectly's culture and values to life, embedding them into key moments across the employee lifecycle including hiring, onboarding, performance conversations, and team gatherings.
