ABOUT US:
AI NEEDS A NEW INFRASTRUCTURE LAYER. WE'RE BUILDING IT AT MODAL.
Every era of computing brought new workloads that previous infrastructure couldn't support: mainframes, databases, and the cloud. Each time, the company that rebuilt the layer underneath defined the decade. AI is no different, except it touches everything instead of one slice, and the window to build the layer underneath it is open right now.
Our customers include category-defining companies like Ramp https://modal.com/blog/how-ramp-built-a-full-context-background-coding-agent-on-modal, Cognition, DoorDash, and Suno. They rely on Modal for instant GPU access, sub-second container starts, and native storage, so it's simple to serve low-latency inference, fine-tune models, and access production-ready sandboxes at scale.
We've passed $1B in annualized run rate, up 15x from a year ago. In October 2026 we raised a $750M Series D led by Accel at a $15.75B valuation.
Our team includes creators of popular open-source projects (e.g.,Seaborn https://github.com/mwaskom/seaborn,Luigi https://github.com/spotify/luigi), academic researchers, international olympiad medalists, and experienced engineering and product leaders with decades of experience.

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the Role
We're looking for a Software Engineer to join the team building Claude Security. In this role, you'll take new security capabilities in frontier models and turn them into products that customers can rely on, working across the full stack from early prototype through production.
This role sits close to both research and go-to-market. You'll work with researchers on the team to understand what the models can do and where they fall short, and with customers and partners to understand which problems are worth solving for them. You'll be expected to form your own view from both and to own significant pieces of the roadmap, including deciding what not to pursue.
The right candidate is a strong generalist engineer with the technical depth to engage with research, the product instincts to know what's worth building, and the drive to move fast. Prior security experience is useful but not required; range across the stack and good judgment about what to build matter more.
Responsibilities
Build and ship user-facing and/or backend features for Claude Security
Build the agent loops, tool integrations, and enabling infrastructure for cybersecurity products
Collaborate tightly with product managers and go-to-market to understand user needs, shape feature scope, and make informed tradeoffs as you build
Iterate quickly based on user feedback and internal testing, improving the experience on a continuous basis
Collaborate with research teams to identify and develop new model capabilities for security applications
You may be a good fit if you:
Contribute across the stack, from front-end UI to back-end infrastructure
Are proficient in TypeScript, Python, and/or Go and have experience building distributed systems
Enjoy fast iteration and are energized by prototyping new ideas
Are comfortable working closely with research and go-to-market teams
Have strong communication skills and can work effectively across functions
Have 7+ years of experience as a software engineer
Strong candidates may also have:
Experience building client-side terminal applications
Experience developing cybersecurity products
Experience in incident response, reverse engineering, network analysis, penetration testing, or similar fields
Experience building skills, plugins, or hooks in Claude Code or similar tools
Experience building with Claude Managed Agents or similar frameworks
Deadline to apply:
None. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
The annual compensation range for this role is listed below.
For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.
Annual Salary:
$405,000
—
$485,000 USD
Logistics
Minimum education:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
Required field of study:
A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
Minimum years of experience:
Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position
Location-based hybrid policy:
Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
Visa sponsorship:
We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification.
Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.
Your safety matters to us.

We are building AI to simulate the world through merging art and science.
We believe that world models are at the frontier of progress in artificial intelligence. Language models alone won’t solve the world’s hardest problems – robotics, disease, scientific discovery. Real progress requires models that experience the world and learn from their mistakes, the same way that humans do. And this kind of trial and error can be massively accelerated when done in simulation, rather than in the real world.
World models offer the most clear path to general-purpose simulation, changing how stories are told, how scientific progress is made and how the next frontiers of humanity are reached.
Our team consists of creative, open minded, caring and ambitious people who are determined to change the world. We aspire to continuously build impossible things and our ability to do so relies on building an incredible team. If you are driven to do the same, we'd love to hear from you.
*Titles posted to our careers page are updated regularly to best advertise the role and expected seniority, but internally we have a flat titling system with two types of titles: one for individual contributors and one for people managers.

THE ROLE:
We’re looking for strong backend engineers who love building developer tools used by the largest AI companies in the world. You’ll be building for things at scale, but also for new AI workflows that change every day.
YOU MAY BE A FIT IF:
- You’ve built and shipped modern web applications end-to-end
- You’re comfortable working across the stack: TypeScript on the frontend, Python services on the backend, and ClickHouse for data and analytics
- You have deep knowledge of observability tools and patterns used for large-scale workloads such as custom sandboxes and training and inference for large language models (LLMs) and diffusion models
- You have experience with at least one of the following: billing/payments systems, B2B SaaS tooling, enterprise software, or LLM/diffusion model inference and training workloads
- You have strong product instincts and think about customer problems, not just tickets
- You’re able to participate in our on-call rotation and respond to production incidents
- You make good tradeoffs between shipping fast and building for scale
- You’re able to work in person in our NYC or SF office
Location: New York City, NY; San Francisco, CA

A genuine interest in deploying AI responsibly and motivation to advance Anthropic's mission of building safe, beneficial AI
Driven, coachable, and on a steep growth trajectory
Preferred qualifications
Experience bringing generative AI or LLM-based products, or other emerging platform technologies, to large asset managers or wealth management firms
Deep familiarity with regulated-industry selling — data governance, fiduciary/compliance-driven procurement, security review, and the governance expectations of buy-side and wealth organizations

About Aura by Hex Trust
Aura by Hex Trust is the
private wealth business
of Hex Trust. We bring institutional-grade digital asset infrastructure - custody, trading, yield, structured products - to high net worth (HNW) individuals and family offices, delivered through a Relationship Manager–led model backed by an easy-to-use app.
The wealth opportunity in digital assets is one of the most underserved segments in the industry. HNW clients want exposure but lack a trusted, regulated, full-service partner. Aura fills that gap, combining the security and licensing of Hex Trust with the personal service private clients expect.
About Hex Trust
Hex Trust is a fully-licensed digital asset financial institution building the infrastructure institutions use to operate in crypto. Custody, staking, capital markets, investment solutions, payments, fiat ramping, RWAs, and tokenization — all on one regulated platform.
Founded in 2018, we're licensed across multiple jurisdictions (HK, SG, Dubai, SVG). As institutional capital moves into crypto and the RWA and payments narratives accelerate, we're one of the few players who can serve institutions as a fully-regulated, one-stop-shop partner. We serve 600+ institutional clients globally: funds, family offices, banks, foundations, token issuers, payment firms, OTC desks, and corporates.
We're well-capitalized, growing consistently, and built on a sustainable model. We operate 24/7 from hubs in Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai, and Vietnam.
You'll work alongside a senior commercial team, own real institutional relationships, and get exposure to the most active parts of the market. We're scaling fast. If you want to sell into the institutional side of crypto at a firm that's actually licensed to do it, this is the place.
Position Summary
We offer an attractive, formula-based, uncapped bonus structure tied directly to revenue, paid quarterly.
As a Relationship Manager at Aura, you'll originate and grow your own book of HNW and family office clients on a fresh platform. You'll have direct access to the full Hex Trust group - institutional products, regulated infrastructure, and senior leadership - and real influence over product direction as we scale.
This is an early-stage hire. If you're an experienced wealth or sales professional looking to build something rather than inherit it, this is the seat.
Duties & Responsibilities
Establish and grow long-term relationships with HNW clients , family offices, and private wealth channels, contributing to increased AUM, trading volume, and product adoption
Cultivate and expand partnerships with relevant distribution partners and intermediaries to further drive growth in AUM.
Lead prospect and client meetings, clearly articulating Hex Trust’s value proposition and capturing feedback for continuous improvement.
Identify cross-selling opportunities across trading, structured products, and lending solutions to deepen client engagement.
Work with Marketing Team to identify and support activities designed to attract and activate client base
Oversee smooth onboarding and ongoing relationship management in collaboration with compliance, legal, and operations.
Deliver best-in-class, white-glove service—positioning Hex Trust as a trusted partner for private clients and family offices in digital assets.
KPIs: No. of clients, Revenue, Assets on Platform, Net New Money
Requirements
5–15 years of experience in relationship management, private banking, wealth management, and/or institutional/crypto financial services.
Demonstrated success in growing AUM and managing sophisticated private clients or family office accounts.
Strong knowledge of financial markets and investment products; digital asset familiarity required.
Proven ability to deliver high-touch, client-first service in a demanding environment.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with credibility in front of senior stakeholders.
Entrepreneurial, adaptable, and proactive in identifying solutions and opportunities.
Fluency in English required; additional languages (e.g., Mandarin, Arabic) are highly valued.
Candidates who do not tick all the boxes are still encouraged to apply, those with less experience will still be considered for the position but with relevant adjustments to seniority.

ABOUT US
Sierra is the leading platform for customer-facing AI agents, working with many of the world's biggest brands — including The GAP, Rocket Mortgage, SoFi, Sutter Health, and SoftBank — to transform how they serve customers and grow their businesses. We are primarily an in-person company based in San Francisco, with growing offices across North America, Europe, and Asia.
We are guided by a set of values that are at the core of our actions and define our culture: Trust, Customer Obsession, Craftsmanship, Intensity, and a commitment to balancing Family along the way. These values are the foundation of our work, and we are committed to upholding them in everything we do.
Our co-founders are Bret Taylor https://www.linkedin.com/in/brettaylor/ and Clay Bavor https://www.linkedin.com/in/claybavor/. Bret currently serves as Board Chair of OpenAI. Previously, he was co-CEO of Salesforce (which had acquired the company he founded, Quip) and CTO of Facebook. Bret was also one of Google's earliest product managers and co-creator of Google Maps. Before founding Sierra, Clay spent 18 years at Google, where he most recently led Google Labs. Earlier, he started and led Google’s AR/VR effort, Project Starline, and Google Lens. Before that, Clay led the product and design teams for Google Workspace.
SOFTWARE ENGINEER, SECURITY
Security Engineering builds the foundations that let Sierra deliver powerful AI agents while protecting customer data and trust. We partner across product and platform to make security, privacy, and safety core product capabilities and secure defaults.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Our work spans several security domains. You’ll go deep where your strengths and interests are strongest, with opportunities to explore new areas alongside the team.
Build the Foundations of Trust.
Design and ship systems that make Sierra’s platform secure by default — spanning agent safety/security, privacy, identity, authentication, authorization, and data security. You’ll work across all layers of production (agents, infrastructure, backend, frontend) to embed security-conscious design into the core of our product.
Own Cross-Cutting Systems.
Partner with product and platform teams to implement and evolve Sierra’s trust primitives: identity management, access control, auditability, and data lifecycle management. You’ll make pragmatic design trade-offs between usability, performance, and security.
Secure Agentic AI Systems.
Build controls that ensure AI agents can't leak customer data, execute unauthorized actions, or be manipulated into unintended behavior. Design runtime policy enforcement for tool use, implement safe agent sandboxing, and create boundaries that protect data while keeping agents powerful and useful.
Automate and Scale Security-Adjacent Workflows.
Create developer-friendly tooling to reduce risk and friction — whether through automating security checks in CI/CD, enforcing privacy boundaries through schema validation, or instrumenting runtime monitoring for sensitive events.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
Strong Software Engineering Skills.
Experience building and maintaining production systems. You’re comfortable designing APIs, integrating with authentication or identity frameworks, and thoughtfully using AI-assisted development tools to build, test, and ship high-quality code faster without lowering the quality bar.
Security Mindset.
You think like a security engineer — considering how data flows, where it’s stored, who can access it, and how to design for least privilege and transparency.
Product and Platform Mindset.
You care about building secure scalable systems that enable, not block, innovation. You work closely with product teams to make trade-offs clear and help them move quickly without sacrificing trust.
Curiosity and Ownership.
You take ambiguous, cross-cutting problems from first principles to production and go deep when needed: tracing an authorization decision from agent intent through policy enforcement and downstream effects, or following sensitive data across model context, logs, storage, and tenant boundaries. You define the problem, align partners, ship the solution, and own it in production.
EVEN BETTER IF…
- You’ve worked on privacy, identity, trust & safety, authN/authz, or data protection systems.
- You’ve built security frameworks, libraries, or tooling that developers actually use or integrated security automation into CI/CD pipelines.
- You have exposure to AI systems or care about designing secure-by-default LLM applications.
- You think like an attacker — you naturally ask "what could go wrong?" when reviewing designs or while building systems. You've found or fixed real security issues in production systems.
- You thrive in 0→1 environments, where foundational systems have to balance speed, reliability, and trust.
OUR VALUES
- Trust: We build trust with our customers with our accountability, empathy, quality, and responsiveness. We build trust in AI by making it more accessible, safe, and useful. We build trust with each other by showing up for each other professionally and personally, creating an environment that enables all of us to do our best work.
- Customer Obsession: We deeply understand our customers’ business goals and relentlessly focus on driving outcomes, not just technical milestones. Everyone at the company knows and spends time with our customers. When our customer is having an issue, we drop everything and fix it.
- Craftsmanship: We get the details right, from the words on the page to the system architecture. We have good taste. When we notice something isn’t right, we take the time to fix it. We are proud of the products we produce. We continuously self-reflect to continuously self-improve.
- Intensity: We know we don’t have the luxury of patience. We play to win. We care about our product being the best, and when it isn’t, we fix it. When we fail, we talk about it openly and without blame so we succeed the next time.
- Family: We know that balance and intensity are compatible, and we model it in our actions and processes. We are the best technology company for parents. We support and respect each other and celebrate each other’s personal and professional achievements.
WHAT WE OFFER
We want our benefits to reflect our values and offer the following to full-time employees:
- Flexible (unlimited) paid time off
- Medical, dental, and vision benefits for you and your family
- Life insurance and disability benefits
- Retirement plan dependent on country of employment
- Parental leave
- Fertility and family building benefits through Carrot
- Lunch, as well as delicious snacks and coffee to keep you energized
- Discretionary benefit stipend giving people the ability to spend where it matters most
- Free alphorn lessons
These benefits are further detailed in Sierra's policies, may vary by region, and are subject to change at any time, consistent with the terms of any applicable compensation or benefits plans. Eligible full-time employees can participate in Sierra's equity plans subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
BE YOU, WITH US
We're working to bring the transformative power of AI to every organization in the world. To do so, it is important to us that the diversity of our employees represents the diversity of our customers. We believe that our work and culture are better when we encourage, support, and respect different skills and experiences represented within our team. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't precisely match the job description. We strive to evaluate all applicants consistently without regard to race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, pregnancy, gender expression or identity, sexual orientation, citizenship, or any other legally protected class.
