ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Research Engineer to join the research team at ElevenLabs, focused on the data infrastructure that powers our frontier AI models. The quality of our models is bounded by the quality and scale of the data behind them, and you will own the systems that make world-class data possible. You will thrive in this role if you enjoy:
- Building large-scale data pipelines for collecting, processing, filtering, and transforming datasets used to train state-of-the-art models.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Every model we train runs on infrastructure this role owns. We operate NVIDIA GPU clusters across bare metal and rented capacity, and we're looking for an engineer to join our small research infrastructure team and make that compute fast, reliable, and boring - in the best sense. When the clusters just work, research moves faster. Your impact is measured directly in training throughput and researcher velocity.
This is a builder-operator role with real breadth: one week you're writing automation that eliminates a whole class of manual work, the next you're benchmarking a new provider's InfiniBand fabric or on-site bringing new hardware online. You'll have unusual scope and autonomy - we're a lean team where decisions are made by the people closest to the problem.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Operate and improve our GPU fleet end to end: provisioning, scheduling, monitoring, upgrades, capacity planning
- Build automation that keeps the fleet healthy without human intervention — node health checks, automated draining and remediation, burn-in pipelines for new capacity
- Own the stack beneath the training code: OS images, NVIDIA drivers, CUDA, container runtimes, NCCL, high-speed networking (InfiniBand/RoCE)
- Run and tune job scheduling (Slurm or similar) so researchers get compute fairly and fast
- Build and maintain high-performance storage for datasets and checkpoints
- Hunt down performance problems: stragglers, degraded links, thermal issues, flaky GPUs — and fix the class of problem, not just the instance
- Evaluate rented GPU capacity: benchmark it, validate it, hold providers to their SLAs
- Hands-on hardware work when it's needed: racking, cabling, diagnostics, coordinating with datacenter staff and vendors
- Keep clusters secure by default: access control, network isolation, secrets
REQUIREMENTS
- Have run large-scale Linux server or GPU environments in production and enjoy both building and operating
- Know the NVIDIA stack well — drivers, CUDA, NCCL, DCGM — or have deep systems experience and learn hardware stacks fast
- Are comfortable with bare-metal environments, server hardware, and high-speed networking
- Write solid automation in Python and/or Bash, with IaC tools like Ansible or Terraform
- Are happy digging into noisy data (metrics, logs, PromQL) to find what's actually wrong
- Like owning real scope end to end and being the person others rely on
- Don't consider any task above or beneath you — datacenter trips included
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience supporting ML training workloads from the infra side (distributed training failure modes, checkpointing patterns)
- Experience evaluating and working with GPU cloud providers
- Parallel filesystems (WEKA, VAST, etc) or large-scale object storage
- BMC/IPMI/Redfish automation, PXE provisioning at scale
- Power and cooling awareness for dense GPU deployments

🚀 THE ADVENTURE AHEAD
As a founding member of our Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) team, you will bridge the gap between cutting-edge AI technology and real-world impact. This is not a plug-and-play role with a pre-written playbook. You will work hand-in-hand with our most forward-thinking, strategic customers to transform complex L&D workflows into autonomous, high-impact AI agents. By translating customer challenges into reusable platform capabilities, you will play a central role in establishing our FDE function from the ground up, defining what success looks like, and shaping the future of AI-first learning.
🛠️ THE DAY-TO-DAY
- Build the Blueprint: Thrive in extreme ambiguity. You won't just follow operational rituals—you'll create them. You’ll define how our FDE team operates, set internal playbooks, and figure out the technical roadmap as you navigate uncharted territory alongside our clients.
- Deploy Autonomous Intelligence: Partner directly with our strategic enterprise customers to map complex L&D workflows, pin-pointing high-impact opportunities for agentic AI integration.
- Architect Custom AI Agents: Design, build, and deploy bespoke AI agents that integrate seamlessly with customer systems and the Docebo Agent Hub.
- Drive Platform Evolution: Translate hands-on customer insights into foundational platform enhancements, turning bespoke client solutions into scalable features for our broader ecosystem.
- Own the Product Lifecycle: Take full ownership from discovery and system architecture to production deployment, monitoring, and iterative optimization.
- Build the Discipline: Shape the founding FDE team culture, operational rituals, and internal playbooks while defining our technical roadmap and cross-functional org design.
💪 YOUR SUPERPOWERS
- Full-Stack Craftsmanship: 5+ years of hands-on experience building, shipping, and maintaining production-grade full-stack software products.
- Agentic AI Expertise: Prior experience building, fine-tuning, or deploying agentic AI systems and LLM-powered applications in production environments.
- Product-First Mindset: A strong customer-centric focus with the confidence and communication skills to engage directly with enterprise stakeholders.
- Founder Mindset & Ambiguity Tolerance: You don't wait for clear specs or structured hand-offs. You are energized by undefined problems, comfortable making high-stakes decisions with partial information, and obsessed with taking complete ownership from zero to one.
- Rapid Prototyping Agility: Proven ability to quickly build prototypes, experiment boldly, and iterate based on real-world usage and customer feedback.
- Modern Tech Fluency: Proficiency in our core tech stack, including frontend (React, TypeScript) and backend development (Next.js, TypeScript).
- Systems Architecture: Strong architectural background with solid experience navigating distributed systems, AWS, Kubernetes, and LLM providers.
- Ecosystem Familiarity: Experience using modern engineering tooling like GitLab, Datadog, OpenTofu, and multi-LLM orchestration tools.
OUR HYBRID WORK PHILOSOPHY 🤝
Great work can happen anywhere but coming together helps us go further. Our team spends three days a week in the office (Tuesday-Thursday) to collaborate, solve problems, and learn from each other. With flexibility the rest of the week, it’s a balance designed to help everyone do their best work and keep growing.
OUR TOTAL REWARDS PHILOSOPHY 🎉
Our Total Rewards Philosophy centers around three core areas to reward and care for our People:
- Rewarding Impact: We lead with competitive pay to reward the impact, skills and traits that fuel our success.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Deployment Strategist, you'll work as part of a driven and creative team of Forward Deployed Engineers, Go to Market professionals, Product Engineers and other Strategists to deploy ElevenAgents, our enterprise AI platform, against the challenging problems our customers face. Your mission is to synthesize disconnected streams of thought into a cohesive understanding of what the most important problem is, what the existing workflows are, what the product needs, what users are motivated by, and where the impact could be.
No two days are the same, but as a Deployment Strategist you can expect to:
- Meet with strategic customers to deeply understand their AI transformation goals and locate their biggest pain points, particularly around customer-facing and operational workflows powered by AI agents.
- Own flagship deals end-to-end — from identifying the right use case to structuring commercial terms (including outcome-based pricing, license fees, and implementation arrangements) and driving them to close.
- Embed yourself deeply inside strategic customers: act as a trusted partner with a provisioned account, spend meaningful time onsite, and own delivery outcomes as if you were part of their team.
- Identify high-impact use cases through close engagement with customer problems and workflows, and collaborate with Forward Deployed Software Engineers to bring them to life.
- Guide customers on best practices for deploying our products (e.g. ElevenAgents); including agent design, agent orchestration, production readiness to maximize adoption and impact.
- Scope out potential applications in new industries and expand our AI solutions across different sectors globally.
- Present the results of our work and proposals for future work to audiences ranging from technical teams to C-suite executives.
- Collaborate with our Research teams to feed field insights back into ElevenLabs' platform and models, helping shape the roadmap.
- Build and deliver compelling demos of ElevenAgents and our broader AI technology to new and existing customers.
- Collaborate daily with customers' engineering and executive teams to ensure agents reach production and deliver measurable business outcomes.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience working with customers in a technical capacity. Direct enterprise customer experience is preferred.
- Experience in product development, delivery, and change management
- Commercial instinct: comfort engaging in deal conversations, structuring value propositions, and navigating enterprise sales cycles alongside GTM partners.
- Basic proficiency in Python and familiarity with API integration, sufficient to prototype, demo, and communicate credibly with engineering teams.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills; particularly the ability to simplify complex technical concepts and structure clear logic in pursuit of optimal solutions.
- A proven track record of taking ownership of complex, ambiguous projects and delivering results.
- Adaptability to work across different customer environments, industries, and technical use cases.
- Technical aptitude and familiarity with common LLM, tooling and AI agent frameworks.
- Ability to creatively map enterprise use cases and workflows to AI systems

About WorkOS 🚀
WorkOS builds modern developer tools and APIs that make it easy for companies to become Enterprise Ready. Our platform powers authentication, identity, authorization, and other critical infrastructure that developers need to securely scale their products to large organizations.
We recently raised a $100M Series C, valuing the company at $2B, led by Meritech and Sapphire with participation from Greenoaks, Craft, Abstract, and Audacious. WorkOS powers enterprise features for many of the fastest-growing AI companies, including OpenAI, Cursor, and Perplexity, Sierra, and Plaid.
As AI reshapes software, WorkOS is at the frontier of Human and Agent Authentication, Identity, and Access Control helping companies answer a new critical question: who are your agents, and what are they allowed to do? Our fast-growing customer base includes hundreds of modern software companies building the next generation of enterprise-ready products.
ABOUT THE ROLE 💭
We're looking for a frontend-leaning Product Engineer with strong product sense, judgment, and taste to help shape and build Passport https://workos.com/passport. With Passport, accessing your work apps is as simple as unlocking your device, instead of battling one sign-in prompt after another. You’ll build the experiences that make that seamless, while giving administrators clear control over access.
You'll help decide what gets built and carry it through to production. Working directly with customers, you'll turn complex identity and device workflows into clear employee and administrator experiences, with hands-on engineering across the stack.
You’ll work in an AI-native engineering environment, using AI tools to prototype, build, and iterate while maintaining a high bar for product quality and technical correctness.
RESPONSIBILITIES ✔️
- Work directly with customers, solutions engineering, and go-to-market teammates to understand their identity and device setups, identify friction, and prioritize focused improvements.
- Build onboarding and access-management experiences that help employees get started and administrators confidently manage access.
- Own features from implementation through release and iteration, making pragmatic technical tradeoffs that balance maintainability with momentum.
- Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and security engineers to make complex access workflows simple and secure.
- Help shape how AI agents access company tools, working with adjacent product teams to make connections and configuration understandable.
QUALIFICATIONS 🌟
- 5+ years of industry software development experience, including shipping user-facing products.
- Strong frontend engineering: accessible interfaces, well-structured application state, fast interactions, and thoughtful loading, empty, error, and recovery states.
- Full-stack capability: design useful APIs, reason about data models and queries, implement authorization behavior, and debug production issues. Your deepest expertise may be frontend; you can own work across layers and collaborate with specialists when needed.
- Strong product sense and judgment: understand customer needs, identify the right problems, and make thoughtful tradeoffs about priorities, scope, quality, and speed, including knowing what not to build.
- Strong product taste: you shape how a product works, not just how it looks. You can rethink complex workflows, choose sensible defaults, and make the right actions feel obvious.
- Clear communication and independent judgment through ambiguity, with the curiosity to learn unfamiliar systems and collaborate across disciplines.
- Bonus: Identity, authentication, authorization, or enterprise integrations, including SAML, OIDC, or SCIM.
- Bonus: Experience building desktop applications or device-management workflows.
- Bonus: B2B SaaS, developer tools, or employee and administrator products, especially experience building an early-stage product with its first customers.
Benefits and Perks (US Only) 💖
At WorkOS, we offer resources that emphasize personal and familial well-being. We offer healthcare coverage for you and your family, including medical, dental, and vision. We offer parental leave, paid-time off and fully remote working arrangements.
- 401k matching
- Competitive Equity
- Healthcare, dental and vision coverage
- FSA, ST/LT Disability, Voluntary Life

- 20 days paid vacation + 10 holidays + unlimited sick leave
