Location: London, United Kingdom - Deliveroo
Our Global Structure
Deliveroo is now part of DoorDash, bringing together teams with even greater reach, scale, and ambition. Depending on your role, you may collaborate with teammates, systems, and leaders across DoorDash and Wolt. Together, we’re unlocking new possibilities as one global team.
Join us in our mission to transform the way people shop and eat, where impact, innovation and growth drive everything we do. Our Product team defines how millions of people experience Deliveroo, turning complex marketplace challenges into simple, high-impact solutions. Working at the intersection of data, design and engineering, we set direction, prioritise what matters most, and deliver outcomes that move the business forward.
We're looking for a
Staff Conversation Designer
to join in London and set the design direction for AI-powered support across Deliveroo, DoorDash and Wolt. You'll bring a strong AI fluency, technical practice, and editorial point of view to build and shape conversations powered by our LLM models: deciding what a conversation needs to say, what to leave out and how to make each exchange clear, useful, and worthy of people's trust.
You'll shape the personality, voice, tone and experience principles that express our brands, local language and support philosophy. You will craft conversation specs, prompts, and evals, annotate data, and co-build the tools and harness that drives our experience. Success means fewer avoidable problems, better resolutions when help is needed, and stronger design practices that help teams deliver those outcomes consistently.
What You’ll Be Doing
Set support conversation strategy
across support journeys, connecting what people need in the moment, what the business can promise, and what operations can actually do. Influence roadmaps with Product, Engineering and Operations, deciding where to invest, what to sequence first and how to balance quality, speed and impact.
Design and maintain conversation flows
. Lead proactive guidance, chat and voice experiences from definition through launch, anticipating needs to prevent or resolve problems before people ask for help. Create and maintain multi-turn conversation specs covering context, interruptions, changing intent, clarification, error recovery, fallback paths and human handoffs without repetition.
Prototype new conversational experiences
. Invent and test new conversational patterns, interaction paradigms, personas, and support experiences. Use LLMs and code to explore how people could ask for help, act on options and move between chat, voice and other interfaces. Work with Engineering to shape the information, actions, and human judgement these experiences need, using working prototypes and user feedback to decide what to pursue.
Shape voice, tone and behaviour
. Set the editorial direction for support conversations across brands, markets and modalities. Write and iterate on system prompts and persona definitions that express this direction through model behaviour. Make deliberate choices about wording, pacing and tone, adapting to local voices, policies and access needs while keeping conversations useful and promises accurate.
Build evaluation datasets and testing plans
. Establish how teams evaluate conversation quality before and after launch. Create evaluation datasets, testing plans and scoring rubrics to test conversation flows and model behaviour. Define annotation guidelines and annotate conversations for evaluation and model training, calibrating judgments so teams assess quality consistently. Combine these evaluations with research, performance data and reviews of hundreds of transcripts to improve accuracy, resolution quality and customer effort, and influence what the team prioritises.
Design conversational safeguards
. Identify conversational risks and define, implement and test guardrails. Address hallucinations, harmful or biased responses, and requests outside the service’s scope. Define how conversations protect sensitive information, stay within the system’s authority to act, and acknowledge uncertainty or seek human judgement.
Raise conversation design capability
. Help the wider Studio develop technical fluency and conversational judgement through mentorship, education and shared tools. Build reusable prompt guidance, evaluation tools and working practices with design and cross-functional peers, and lead their adoption across teams to improve conversation quality and inform product priorities.
What You’ll Need to Thrive
Work samples
. Work samples showing strong editorial and conversational judgement, whether through conversational systems, content programmes or shipped products. Show your personal contribution, the direction you set, alternatives you explored and evidence of improved outcomes. We welcome different formats that make your thinking, execution and influence clear.
Strategic leadership
. Experience setting direction across teams and influencing product priorities, with examples of resolving ambiguity and making trade-offs between user needs, commercial goals and technical constraints.
Editorial judgement
. A strong editorial point of view, backed by excellent writing and editing. You can explain why a conversation needs a particular message, sequence or tone, cut what gets in the way and give others specific feedback that improves the work. Your background may be in editorial, content design, linguistics, product design or another discipline; what matters is how you apply that judgement to interactive experiences.
Hands-on AI practice
. Practical fluency with LLMs and code, demonstrated through working AI prototypes and direct investigation of model behaviour. You can distinguish conversational problems from limitations in data, tools or the wider system.
Service design judgement
. The ability to connect individual conversations to the wider service, including user intent, context, available actions and agent workflows. Your decisions account for accessibility, localisation, privacy and situations that need human intervention.
Evaluation and training experience
. Experience developing conversation evaluations and annotating model-training data, with evidence of how qualitative and quantitative findings improved model behaviour and informed product decisions.
Impact beyond your own work
. A track record of improving other teams’ design quality through mentorship, critique and shared tools or practices they’ve adopted.

HEALTH CAN’T WAIT.
Not for symptoms to get worse. Not for a six‑month appointment. Not for a system to catch up. But that’s exactly how healthcare works today. You wait, until you can’t.
Alan exists to end the wait.
Health is a universal right, and we believe this right can only become real when it’s coupled with prevention. We need to stop treating health as something we repair and start treating it as something we build, every day. It’s not solely a question of willpower. It’s the healthcare system itself that needs to work for everyone, in a sustainable way.
So we are building the new standard in prevention insurance. Alan is the first company that integrates insurance, prevention, and care into a single, acclaimed user experience.
We are on an incredible journey to build a global leading company, with a unique culture https://alan.com/en/careers. We already partner with 40K+ companies of all sizes, serving more than 1M+ members, and have reached €800M+ in ARR.
Prevention as the new norm. That's what we're building with our team of 1000+ people. If it speaks to you: we're hiring across France, Spain, Belgium, and Canada. And beyond.
⭐️ THE PARTNERSHIP ACTIVATION MANAGER ROLE ⭐️
You'll be the driving force behind the commercial activation of the Belfius Business network in Flanders or Wallonia & Brussels.
Your mission: help bankers identify the right companies (especially those with 20+ and 50+ employees), introduce the right Alan proposition, and turn our collaboration into measurable growth. You'll combine relationship building, commercial coaching and hands-on field activation, working closely with Alan's Belfius Partnership Lead, Sales teams and Field Marketing.
Your key missions
1. Activate the partner network. Build strong relationships with Belfius offices, zone directors and bankers across your territory. Identify the highest-potential offices and bankers (A/B/C prioritisation) and focus your energy where it has the most impact. Help bankers spot relevant opportunities in their portfolio and generate qualified leads.
2. Enable commercial success. Run trainings, workshops and commercial meetings (on-site and remote). Make Alan's proposition simple: which offer for which type of client, how to handle the most common questions, when to bring in an Alan Account Executive. Equip bankers with playbooks, customer stories and materials, within a compliant sales flow.
3. Turn strategy into action. Translate the quarterly Belfius x Alan commercial plan into a concrete local activation calendar: duo meetings with Alan Sales, focus groups, campaigns, incentives and events. Coordinate with Marketing and Sales so that every lead has a clear owner and a fast follow-up.
4. Own your impact. Track activity, leads, meetings, conversions and premium per customer across your network. Spot what works, challenge what doesn't, bring field feedback back to Alan and Belfius, and continuously improve the playbook.
You'll typically spend half or more of your time in the field, in Belfius offices and at client events.
⭐ Is it you we're looking for?
You might be a great fit if you:
- Have 3+ years of experience in field sales, business development, partner or network activation, ideally with distribution networks (banks, insurers, brokers, HR or payroll services, benefits providers...).
- Love building relationships and know how to turn them into commercial results, even with people you don't manage.
- Are at ease facilitating a workshop for 20 bankers in the morning and coaching one banker on a client call in the afternoon.
- Combine strong interpersonal skills with a structured, numbers-driven mindset: you know your funnel and where it leaks.
- Are proactive, entrepreneurial and comfortable working autonomously on a territory.
- Are native in Dutch and/or French and comfortable working in English.
Experience in insurance, employee benefits or healthcare is a plus. What matters most is your ability to activate people, build trust and drive results.
For this opportunity, we are aiming to hire within the C0-D level range. https://alan.com/en/careers/a/salary-equity
🙌 PERKS & BENEFITS https://alan.com/en/careers/a/salary-equity
At Alan, we believe that being in good health is a basic need, and it starts with our employees. This is why Alaners are provided with a stimulating environment and perks ensuring they are happy, efficient and spend only high-quality time with co-workers.
Therefore, we offer:
- Fair rewards. Generous equity packages complement your base salary.
- Flexible Office. Amazing office space at our HQ in Paris, sponsored co-working hubs in Ghent, Brussels or Antwerp or a full-remote experience with home office equipment sponsorship, we want you to live where you’re the happiest.
- All the tools you need. Top of the range equipment: Macbook Pro, keyboard, laptop stand, monitor, and Bose noise-canceling headphones.
- Flexible vacation policy and flexible working hours. Organize your time as you wish.

Learn more about our coaching culture https://alan.com/en/blog/discover-alan/a/alan-culture-excellence-through-coaching.
- Parental leave. Extended parental leave for all new parents.
IMPORTANT NOTE: WE HIRE PEOPLE, NOT ROLES.
If you're excited about this opportunity but don't check every box, we'd love to hear from you. Everyone, no matter how underrepresented, should feel free to apply as it can only bring learnings or success.
If you identify yourself as a woman: Did you know that research shows women often apply only when meeting 100% of requirements?
Remember, this is just a guide, not a checklist.
We'll be thrilled to receive your application!

STAFF PRODUCT MANAGER, PRODUCT DISCOVERY ENGINE
ABOUT US
Constructor powers product search and discovery for some of the largest retailers in the world. We serve billions of requests every week, and you’ve probably seen our results somewhere and used our product without knowing it. We differentiate ourselves by focusing on metrics over features, and reinventing search and discovery from the ground up as a machine learning challenge with the specific goal of improving metrics like revenue. We’re approximately doubling year over year despite the market slowing down and have customers in every eCommerce vertical. We’re a passionate team of technologists who love solving problems and want to make our customers’ and coworkers’ lives better. We value empathy, openness, curiosity, continuous improvement, and are excited by metrics that matter. We believe that empowering everyone in a company to do what they think is best can lead to great things.
JOB SUMMARY
We’re looking for a systems-minded Staff Product Manager to take Constructor’s search and discovery to the state of the art — and keep it there — across every retail industry we serve. This is a highly technical, high-leverage role at the core of our Product Discovery Engine chapter: the teams responsible for how we retrieve, understand, and rank the right products for every shopper, on every query, for every customer.
Your job is to raise discovery quality and, through it, our customers’ business metrics. You won’t be measured on features shipped — you’ll be measured on relevance and business outcomes, like conversion, revenue per visit, and search-attributed GMV, moving up.
You’ll start embedded with our Search Quality team, owning its strategy and roadmap and getting deep into the systems that decide what shoppers actually see. Over time, your mandate grows to setting direction for the entire Product Discovery Engine chapter — deciding where we’re heading and why across recall, ranking, query understanding, personalization, and the ML infrastructure underneath. This is a Staff role today with a clear path to Director as you take on chapter-wide leadership.
Search at Constructor is fundamentally a machine learning problem, so this role lives and breathes ML. You’ll partner closely with ML, data science, and engineering to turn the latest research into production wins, keep us ahead of both commercial competitors and academic state of the art, and be the connective tissue that aligns multiple teams — ML Recall, ML Infra, and, over time, teams like CORE, SABR, and Catalog Management — behind a single, coherent vision for great discovery.
If you’re excited about driving innovation across dozens of the world’s largest retailers, being held to relevance and business outcomes, and pushing an already best-in-class product further ahead, this role is for you.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Own business impact, not features. Drive measurable lift in search-attributed conversion, revenue per visit, and GMV alongside relevance across our customer base.
- Deliver across every retail industry. Move quality and business metrics across all the verticals we serve, accounting for the differences in catalog, language, and shopper intent.
- Keep us at the state of the art. Continuously translate the latest ML / IR research and competitive moves into production wins, and ship SOTA ML / LLM-assisted capabilities that beat our previous best on relevance.
- Set chapter vision and strategy. Define the multi-quarter direction for the Product Discovery Engine — where we’re heading and why — tie it directly to customer business outcomes, and rally teams behind it.
- Lead Search Quality first. Own its strategy and roadmap, driving measurable improvements in the relevance and correctness of results.
- Orchestrate across the pipeline. Unify recall, ranking, query understanding, and personalization behind one definition of quality and one set of business metrics, so improvements compound instead of colliding.
- Turn ML research into production wins. Partner deeply with ML and data science to take models — from candidate generation and recall to LLM-assisted interpretation — from idea to production, balancing accuracy, latency, and cost.
- Make quality measurable and explainable. Build the metrics, evaluation frameworks, and tooling the whole chapter uses to measure, attribute, and explain discovery quality and its business impact.
- Own quality under pressure. Lead investigation and triage when issues arise, and design durable, systemic fixes rather than one-off patches.
- Grow the mandate. Expand into chapter-wide leadership spanning ML Recall, ML Infra, and — over time — teams like CORE, SABR, and Catalog Management.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Within your first year, you will have:
- Driven measurable lift in search-attributed conversion and revenue per visit — moving business metrics, not just quality metrics.
- Driven measurable business-metric lift (conversion, revenue per visit, GMV) and relevance lift across every major retail vertical we serve.
- Shipped at least one state-of-the-art ML / LLM-assisted capability into production that beats our previous best on relevance.
- Won head-to-head quality benchmarks against every major competitor in the verticals we compete in, with a repeatable, defensible methodology.
- Taken core quality metrics to best-in-class levels and kept them improving quarter over quarter.
- Stood up an evaluation framework and tooling that ties model and system investments directly to customer business outcomes.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Extensive product management experience (typically 8+ years) in search, discovery, ML, or NLP-heavy products, including time operating at a senior or staff level.
- A track record of moving business metrics at scale — conversion, revenue, engagement — not just shipping features, and of setting strategy across multiple teams.
- Deep understanding of the end-to-end search pipeline: query interpretation → recall / candidate generation → ranking → reranking → personalization → delivery.
- Strong ML product depth — owning production models and reasoning about tradeoffs between high-capacity (LLM / batch) and low-latency (real-time) approaches — and a habit of staying current with state-of-the-art research.
- Fluency with retrieval and recall, query understanding (tokenization, synonyms, spelling correction, multilingual support), and search evaluation frameworks.
- A rigorous, measurement-first mindset that ties every quality investment back to business outcomes.
- Excellent cross-functional leadership — able to align teams with different goals behind a shared definition of quality and a shared set of business metrics, working shoulder-to-shoulder with engineering, data science, and ML Ops.
- Comfort operating with ambiguity, setting direction where none exists yet, and leading through clarity and credibility rather than the org chart.
BENEFITS
- Unlimited vacation time — we strongly encourage all of our employees to take at least 3 weeks per year.
- A competitive compensation package including stock options.
- Company-sponsored US health coverage (100% paid for employee).
- Fully remote team — choose where you live.
- Work-from-home stipend! We want you to have the resources you need to set up your home office.
- Apple laptops provided for new employees.
- Training and development budget for every employee, refreshed each year.
- Parental leave for qualified employees.
- Work with smart people who will help you grow and make a meaningful impact.
This position is fully remote — Constructor.io http://Constructor.io is a remote-first company.

Position Description:
We are looking for a Principal QA Engineer to take ownership of a company-wide QA system and lead its continued development. You will dive into the current processes, leadership model, automation and tooling direction, quality controls, and improvement roadmap; challenge existing approaches where needed, and drive the next stage of maturity across engineering domains. We need a senior technical leader who sees Quality Engineering as an engineering system, connects business and technical risks with practical changes in the SDLC, test architecture, automation, environments, release quality, and metrics, and turns systemic problems into measurable and sustainable improvements. This is a senior individual contributor role working primarily through QA Technical Leads and Senior QA Engineers and partnering with Engineering Managers, Product, Architecture, and DevOps/SRE, while remaining hands-on in high-impact reviews, pilots, and critical investigations.
Responsibilities:
Take ownership of the company-wide Quality Engineering strategy, operating model, and improvement roadmap; continue evolving them as products, risks, and organizational needs change.
Assess Quality Engineering maturity across domains, identify systemic bottlenecks and inconsistencies, and prioritize the improvements with the highest company-wide impact.
Define and evolve cross-domain standards and guardrails for test architecture, coverage, quality evidence, testability, observability, release readiness, and production validation.
Drive continuous improvement of the end-to-end QA process and embed shift-left practices, quality controls, and risk-based gates across the SDLC together with Product, Engineering, Architecture, and DevOps/SRE.
Own the strategic direction of the QA toolchain and automation architecture, and validate key technical decisions hands-on through code, prototypes, and architecture reviews across UI and backend automation. Python is preferred, while Go, Node.js, or another suitable stack is also relevant.
Continuously benchmark market practices and emerging technologies, including AI; validate ideas through experiments and turn successful findings into company-wide transformation initiatives such as framework modernization, contract and performance testing, smarter test selection, and cloud-native test environments. Actively use AI in daily engineering work and advance its adoption across QA.
Define scalable release-quality principles and provide technical recommendations for systemic, cross-team, or ambiguous quality risks.
Lead cross-team investigations and root-cause analysis for critical incidents, unstable environments, systemic automation failures, and quality problems without a clear owner.
Establish meaningful quality metrics and make trends, risks, technical debt, and improvement outcomes visible to engineering leadership.
Develop QA Technical Leads as domain-level technical owners, strengthening their ability to translate company-wide direction into sustainable practices and decisions within their domains.
Influence, align stakeholders, and translate business, regulatory, and operational risks into clear engineering priorities.
Requirements:
8+ years in Quality Assurance / Quality Engineering, including technical leadership across multiple teams or domains.
Experience defining QA strategy, standards, or large-scale transformations with measurable results.
Deep knowledge of Quality practices risk-based testing, coverage strategy, shift-left, quality gates, testability, release readiness, and production quality signals.
Strong hands-on programming experience and the ability to design and contribute to scalable UI and backend automation. Python is preferred, but strong experience with Go, Node.js, or another relevant stack is welcome.
Strong experience with distributed backend systems, REST APIs, event-driven workflows, third-party integrations
Experience with CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, cloud-native or GitOps environments, and observability tools.
Ability to define useful quality metrics, communicate technical risk, and influence senior stakeholders
A research-driven mindset, practical experience evaluating new technologies, and confident, responsible, and active use of AI tools in everyday engineering work.
Good spoken and written English and Russian.
Nice to have:
Experience in fintech, crypto, payments, compliance, financial operations, or another regulated domain with complex integrations and high operational risk.
Experience with Kafka, MQ, Debezium, ledger-like systems, eventual consistency, and event-driven architecture.
Experience with contract, performance, load, resilience, or reliability testing.
