An overview of this role
Reports to: Manager, Renewals
This is an individual-contributor, tactical role focused on timely, accurate execution rather than strategic decision-making. The Associate Renewals Manager works under the general direction of Senior Renewals Managers and their manager, following specific instructions and frameworks in day-to-day work. Solutions and outputs are reviewed by more senior team members and/or the direct manager.
What You’ll Do
Manage an assigned portfolio of customer renewals tracking key dates and driving them to on-time closure.
Have real, consultative conversations with customers throughout the renewal cycle to understand how they're actually using the product and where they're headed next.
Identify and surface expansion opportunities — additional seats, tiers, or modules — that come out of those conversations.
Probe for new use cases and unmet needs within existing accounts, connecting what customers describe to relevant GitLab capabilities they aren't yet using.
Prepare and send renewal quotes, order forms, and related documentation accurately and on schedule, structuring them to reflect any expansion identified.
Prepare and send renewal quotes, order forms, and related documentation accurately and on schedule.
Analyze moderately complex renewal situations (usage trends, contract terms, pricing) by reviewing existing account factors, escalating anything unusual to a senior team member or manager and helping to mitigate any risk identified.
Explain moderately complex renewal terms and issues to customers and internal stakeholders, working to build alignment.
Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Finance to help identify expansion opportunities, resolve blockers and keep renewals moving.
Communicate proactively and transparently with customers and internal stakeholders, adapting to GitLab's communication framework.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in the CRM/renewals system for forecasting and reporting.
Prioritize tasks with guidance from more senior team members to drive quality, timely results.
Contribute to team goals by working collaboratively with peer RM’s.
What You’ll Bring
Can execute basic renewal processes independently ("basic knots") and has been introduced to more advanced scenarios ("complex knots") such as multi-year deals, upsell-attached renewals, or non-standard terms.
Developing understanding of GitLab's way of working, values, and high-performance culture.
Awareness of GitLab's remote work best practices.
Growth mindset and sense of ownership — proactively seeks out ways to learn and improve, and takes action rather than waiting for direction.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; comfortable managing many renewals at once.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to follow defined processes and frameworks while flagging exceptions appropriately.
Collaborative mindset and openness to feedback and coaching from senior teammates and manager.
The ability to travel for events such as trainings, team offsites, customer meetings, etc.
About the team
The Renewals team focuses on protecting and growing GitLab's recurring revenue by managing the full contract lifecycle for our subscription customers. As a Renewal Manager, you'll be part of a quota-carrying team that works closely with Sales, Customer Success, Finance, and Legal to ensure timely, accurate renewals and strong customer retention across regions in an all-remote, asynchronous environment. The team is responsible for forecasting renewal outcomes, identifying and addressing churn risk, and uncovering opportunities to expand GitLab adoption, while continuously improving processes and best practices that support predictable, sustainable growth.

An overview of this role
GitLab's Security Risk function is responsible for reducing risk across the security division: third-party risk (TPRM), annual security risk assessments, quarterly risk reporting, and remediation of security findings. As a Senior Security Risk Engineer, you'll take ownership of risk identification, quantification, and remediation tracking across the business, and you'll be a driving force behind automating and modernizing how the team does this work using AI and scripting. Reporting to the Security Risk Manager, you will bring expertise on risk methodology, risk-based thinking, and AI-enablement.
In this role, you'll partner closely with Security, Legal, IT, Product, and Engineering to translate technical findings and vendor risk into business-relevant risk statements and risk treatments. You’ll help surface emerging risks, and report top risks to leadership.
Some examples of our projects:
Building and maintaining a risk register that translates technical vulnerabilities, control gaps, and third-party risk findings into quantified, business-relevant risk statements.
Driving cross-functional remediation of security findings and risk issues to closure, tracked against SLAs.
Driving automation and AI-enabled improvements for risk and GRC workflows so the team can spend less time on manual work and more time on high-value risk analysis and program maturity.
What you'll do
Own risk identification, analysis, and prioritization across third-party risk (TPRM), security risk assessments, and security findings, using an established risk framework (e.g., NIST RMF, ISO 31000, or NIST 800-39).
Translate technical vulnerabilities, control gaps, and risk findings into clear, quantified risk statements that non-security stakeholders and leadership can act on.
Drive remediation of findings and risk exceptions to closure, partnering with Engineering, IT, Product, and Legal, and escalating stalled or high-severity items.
Mature and maintain a risk register and quarterly reporting cadence that gives leadership clear visibility into open risk, remediation progress, and trends.
Own and mature AI risk management, including AI impact assessments, AI risk assessments, and risk treatments, to support ISO 42001 certification.
Design, develop, and implement key risk indicators and supporting metrics for top risks in the risk register.
Identify manual, repetitive steps in risk and TPRM workflows and personally build the automation, scripting, or AI-enabled tooling to remove them.
Contribute to the roadmap for the risk program, incorporating new frameworks, regulatory changes, and lessons learned from past assessments.
Monitor the internal and external risk landscape (new frameworks, threat trends, business changes) to identify and escalate emerging risks before they become findings.
What you'll bring
5+ years of experience in security risk management, working with security-centric risk management or compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST RMF, NIST 800-39, ISO 31000). Familiarity with AI governance frameworks (e.g., ISO 42001, NIST AI RMF) is a plus.
Experience designing and executing qualitative and quantitative risk analyses that translate technical risks into measurable business impact.
A track record of driving risk assessments, risk registers, and remediation efforts to closure across IT, Procurement, Internal Audit, Legal, Product, and Engineering, in a heavily regulated or multi-entity environment.
Experience interpreting technical control requirements and translating them for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated bias toward automation: you've personally built scripts, workflows, or AI-enabled tooling that reduced manual risk or GRC work, not just evaluated tools conceptually.
Comfort operating with ambiguity, managing multiple concurrent assessments, and reprioritizing under tight deadlines.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to translate security risks into business risks.
Strong understanding of cloud security, SaaS security models, and DevSecOps practices.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC) are preferred but not required.
About the team
The
Security Assurance
organization helps GitLab build and maintain trust by strengthening how we approach security, compliance, and risk across the company. The Security Risk team sits within that group and owns third-party risk (TPRM), security risk assessments, and remediation of security findings. The Security Risk Team performs thorough, collaborative, and efficient risk assessments as well as drive risk reduction so that GitLab can achieve its goals while maintaining a high level of security. Security Risk counterparts are Security Compliance, Security Governance and Security Enablement functions.

Here at Humanoid, we believe in a future where robots amplify human potential. That’s why we’ve set out on a mission to build the world’s most capable, commercially-scalable, and safe humanoid robots. We’re bringing that mission to life with HMND‑01 - our rapidly developed humanoid platform being deployed in real industrial environments - and we’re growing the team to take it even further.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Director & Associate General Counsel at Humanoid, you will lead legal operations across the U.S. and Canada as we scale our footprint in the region. Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer & General Counsel, you'll serve as our senior legal representative and principal point of contact here — spanning regulatory support for production and R&D, IP across the research and manufacturing lifecycle, dispute resolution and pre-litigation matters, and the corporate and financing work that comes with our growth. You'll also partner closely with compliance leadership to track regulatory obligations, support public policy engagement, and own the region's legal infrastructure: entity management, governance, policies, templates, outside counsel, tooling, and reporting.
If you're excited to help shape a growing legal function, want real ownership over how law and compliance guide the deployment of real-world robots, and are ready to be the senior legal voice for a fast-growing region, we want to hear from you.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own legal operations for North America across the United States and Canada, acting as an extension of the Office of the General Counsel in the region.
- Provide regulatory support to our production and R&D functions as HMND‑01 is deployed into industrial environments, working with compliance leadership to translate requirements into workable processes.
- Advise on IP rights across R&D and production, including invention capture, ownership, licensing, and protection.
- Manage disputes and pre-litigation matters across the region.
- Support commercial contracting in North America in partnership with our global contracts function.
- Drive legal support for public policy and government engagement in the United States and Canada, in partnership with our government relations and commercial leadership.
- Support corporate and financing workstreams in the region.
- Engage and manage outside counsel across the United States and Canada, with a clear view of cost and value.
- Own the legal operations infrastructure for the region, including entity management, policies, templates, tooling, and reporting.
- Build, manage, and develop the North American legal team as headcount grows, while remaining close to the work yourself.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 10+ years of legal experience following bar admission, including 5+ years in-house in regulated industries.
- Licensed US attorney in good standing.
- 5+ years of people management experience, with the ability to build and scale a team as the region grows.
- Regulatory support experience across production and R&D functions.
- Substantive IP experience.
- Dispute resolution experience.
- A hands-on, execution-oriented approach: you do the work yourself as well as overseeing others.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and creating clarity in a fast-moving environment.
- Ability to work from our Boston office five days per week.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Canadian law, or experience running a cross-border US–Canada remit.
- Experience in robotics, artificial intelligence (AI), automotive, aerospace, or advanced manufacturing.
- Experience supporting a venture financing round in-house.
- Exposure to product safety, export controls, or trade compliance.
- Experience supporting government relations or public policy work.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Comprehensive health coverage for US‑based employees, including fully paid medical, dental, and vision insurance, with virtual care and employee assistance resources.
- Time off to rest and recharge: 23 days of PTO (accrued), separate sick leave, and paid company holidays.
- 401(k) retirement plan with 4% employer match.
- Competitive equity: stock options with meaningful upside as we scale.
- Free daily catered lunch, snacks, and drinks in‑office.
- Collaboration with top‑tier engineers, researchers, and product experts in AI and robotics.
For this role in Massachusetts, the expected base salary range is $220K–$300K USD per year; your placement in that range depends on how your experience maps to our internal leveling.
Location: Mexico City, Cuauhtémoc, Mexico
Working at Bitso
Bitso is Latin America's largest crypto-powered financial services platform. Bitso Business serves corporates,
liquidity providers, importers and exporters, credit companies and payment firms that move money across
borders and settle at scale. We are building the most recognized FX franchise for corporates in the region, on
rails that are faster and more transparent than the correspondent banking system they replace.
Your Purpose
The Senior Sales Executive owns a corporate portfolio end to end: sourcing, structuring, closing and growing FX
and cross-border payment relationships. This is a quota-carrying, individual-contributor role for someone who
has sold spot and forward FX, SPEI and mass-payment flows to treasurers and CFOs, and who is comfortable
explaining stablecoin settlement rails to a compliance committee the same week they quote a USD/MXN
spread to a trading desk.
Reports To
Head of Sales
Who You Are
Must have
10+ years of B2B sales experience in fintech, payments, FX or banking institutions, with a consistent record
of carrying and beating quota.
Demonstrable experience selling FX - spot and forward - to corporate clients, including pricing
conversations with treasurers and trading desks.
Demonstrable experience selling SPEI and Mexican domestic payment flows, including mass payments and
collections.
Strong network among corporates, financial institutions or payment companies in Mexico.
Ability to structure complex, multi-product deals and navigate procurement, treasury, legal and compliance
in parallel.
Full professional proficiency in Spanish and English, written and spoken.
Fluency with CRM discipline and data-driven pipeline management.
Strongly desirable
Prior experience at a crypto exchange, digital-asset platform or blockchain-native company.
Working knowledge of Bitcoin, stablecoins and on-chain settlement, and the ability to explain them credibly
to a non-crypto CFO.
Experience with cross-border corridors involving the US, LatAm, Europe or Asia.
Exposure to regulated environments - IFPE, SOFIPO, VASP or equivalent licensing regimes.
Soft skills
Collaboration: works naturally with Trading, Compliance, Product, Operations and Legal - treats them as
partners in the deal, not obstacles to it.
Teamwork: shares intelligence, mentors less experienced sellers and contributes to team targets beyond
personal quota.
Performance under pressure: stays composed in volatile markets, live pricing situations and tight
settlement windows.
Ownership: operates autonomously, commits to numbers and reports honestly when they are at risk.
Clarity: communicates with precision in front of a CFO, a regulator or an internal committee.
What You Will Do
Commercial ownership
Carry and exceed an individual quota for FX volume, payment volume and net revenue across an assigned
corporate portfolio.
Build and maintain a disciplined pipeline in the CRM - accurate stages, next steps, close dates and a monthly
forecast within plus or minus 10%.
Originate new logos through outbound prospecting, industry networks, chambers of commerce, brokers and
referral partners.
Negotiate pricing, spreads, credit terms and commercial agreements in coordination with Trading, Treasury
and Legal.
Client management and structuring
Act as the trusted commercial counterpart to CFOs, treasurers, controllers and heads of payments at
corporates and financial institutions.
Diagnose client flows - currency pairs, corridors, volumes, timing, settlement constraints - and structure the
right combination of FX, SPEI, cross-border payments and stablecoin settlement.
Grow existing accounts through wallet-share expansion, new corridors and additional products; own
quarterly business reviews with top clients.
Coordinate onboarding with Compliance, Operations and Implementation so time-to-first-transaction is
measured in days, not months.
Market and product
Bring structured market intelligence back to the business: competitor pricing, bank behaviour, corridor
dynamics and regulatory shifts.
Work with Product to translate recurring client needs into roadmap input, and be an early voice on new FX
and payment capabilities.
Represent Bitso Business at industry events, panels and client forums in Mexico and the region.
Compliance and risk
Sell within Bitso's regulatory perimeter at all times; partner with Compliance on KYB, onboarding and ongoing
due diligence rather than working around it.
Escalate risk signals early and maintain complete, auditable records of client interactions and commercial
terms.
What we offer
A category-defining seat: Bitso is the largest crypto-powered financial platform in Latin America, and the
corporate franchise is the fastest-growing part of it.
Competitive base salary plus uncapped variable compensation tied to revenue and volume.
Direct access to the Head of Sales and FX business leadership, and real influence on product direction.
A regulated, compliance-first operating environment - you sell on solid ground.
Who We Are
With over 10 million users, Bitso is the leading cryptocurrency platform in Latin America. We are developing the cryptocurrency ecosystem in the region and enabling financial inclusion. We believe crypto is the future of finance, and we’re committed to making it useful by providing equal access to safe and intuitive financial products.
