From Fivetran’s founding until now, our mission has remained the same: to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. We’re proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven.
About Us
Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industry-leading companies with a shared mission: helping organizations unlock the full value of their data.
Together, we’re delivering the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data — from the moment data moves, through every transformation, to the context teams and AI systems rely on.
Fivetran helps organizations automate data movement across the systems, clouds, engines, and tools they rely on. dbt Labs pioneered analytics engineering, helping teams transform data into reliable, governed insights. Together, we support thousands of organizations as they build a trusted foundation for analytics, AI, and better business decisions.
As we bring our teams and technology together, we’re building on the strengths of both companies while continuing to deliver the products and experiences our customers know and trust. It’s an exciting time to join us: we’re creating a company with the scale, talent, and technology to help more organizations put their data to work with greater speed, confidence, and impact.
During this transition period, you may see references to both Fivetran and dbt Labs throughout our recruiting process as we integrate our teams, systems, and career sites.
About the Role
We’re looking for a
Staff Software Engineer
to join the Platform Ops team (Platform Engineering) and lead initiatives that enable developer productivity by building and improving developer tooling and environments, and by improving other productivity tools around observability. Our team builds the shared systems and workflows engineers rely on every day—internal developer environments and self-serve tooling that makes the recommended way to ship changes the easiest way.
This is a platform tooling role with a focus is on reusable capabilities and self-service workflows adopted across teams. You’ll also help develop AI-based workflows for productivity and efficiency, including automation that improves infrastructure operations (for example, faster triage, automated runbook steps, and better self-service for common issues). You’ll prioritize the highest-impact problems by looking at where time is being lost today (slow builds, flaky tests, manual release steps, repetitive operational work) and turning that into concrete projects. You’ll set clear success metrics up front and use them to guide design decisions and rollouts. Expect to partner closely with engineering teams to drive adoption, document changes, and iterate based on feedback. You’ll drive cross-team work across internal tooling, developer environments, observability, and reliability, focusing on measurable improvements (for example: shorter lead time, fewer incidents, and faster recovery). You’ll add automation and enable developer workflows across all three major cloud environments (AWS, Azure, and GCP).
As a staff engineer on the team, you’ll lead medium-to-large initiatives end-to-end: define the problem with stakeholders, write a design and rollout plan, build and operate the solution in Python/Go, and measure results. You’ll work across Platform Engineering, Release Engineering, Security, and product engineering teams to make improvements that are adopted broadly and remain reliable over time.
What You’ll Do
Lead end-to-end projects that improve developer tooling, environments, and operational workflows (speed, reliability, and safety)
Design and operate internal tooling/services in
Python
and/or
Go
Build tooling for our internal developer platform (self-service workflows, shared patterns, developer-facing interfaces)
Add automation and enable developer workflows across all three major cloud environments (AWS, Azure, and GCP)
Develop AI-based workflows that improve developer experience and reduce repetitive manual work, including efficiency gains in infrastructure operations
Improve developer feedback loops through better observability (metrics/logs/traces), making failures easier to diagnose
Design/build and document “paved paths” and self-service capabilities so teams can ship without extensive platform expertise
Improve reliability through automation and observability (metrics/logs/traces), and drive incident follow-ups to reduce recurrence
Set technical direction (design docs, tradeoffs, sequencing) and drive delivery across stakeholders
Mentor engineers through design and code reviews
Skills We’re Looking For
:
Strong experience building and operating production services in
Python
and/or
Go
Experience with at least one cloud provider (
AWS
,
Azure
, or
GCP
) and core primitives (IAM, networking, compute)
Experience building developer productivity tooling (CI systems, build tooling, developer portals, workflow automation)
Track record leading ambiguous, cross-team technical projects to completion
Strong communication and engineering judgment
You'll have an edge if you have
:
Kubernetes/platform abstractions experience
Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/OpenTofu), including reusable modules, safe state practices, and modernization of shared platform foundations
Experience building internal developer platforms (IDPs) / developer portals / self-service tooling

About the team
The Security Team is responsible for providing key security capabilities covering application, cloud and enterprise security, incident response, detection and GRC. Our team is looking for an experienced, hands-on security practitioner, who will drive the adoption of modern security processes and tooling, with focus on supporting our engineering and product teams in improving the security posture of our platforms and services.
What you will do:
- Identify security gaps and vulnerabilities in all ClickHouse offerings triage a wide range of vulnerabilities reported via our bug bounty program, responsible disclosure, GitHub Issues covering web, API and server - client assets including low level memory issues like heap or buffer overflows
- Improve and develop security assurance activities - pentests, vulnerability assessments, bug bounty programs, fuzzing
- Plan and execute internal red team assessments and penetration tests against ClickHouse infrastructure, cloud environments, designing realistic adversary scenarios to test detection, response and control effectiveness
- Assess AI/LLM-specific attack surface across ClickHouse's own AI-powered features and internal AI tooling, including prompt injection, model/data exfiltration, and unsafe agentic tool-use patterns
- Build and operate agentic tooling for reconnaissance, exploit-chaining and attack-path discovery, and apply LLM-assisted fuzzing to accelerate vulnerability discovery across ClickHouse's products and infrastructure
- Partner with detection engineering to validate and improve detection coverage during red team exercises, measuring and reporting on control effectiveness and time to detect/respond
- Handle information security events and incidents across ClickHouse products and services
- Develop processes, tooling and automation to scale security processes and mitigate risks to the business
What you bring along:
- 7+ years of experience in pentesting, red teaming and product security
- Experience supporting engineering and product implementation efforts by performing threat assessments, assurance activities, advisory as well as, in some cases, implementation work across distributed systems covering web, API, client/server assets
- Hands-on experience conducting offensive security engagements - internal red teaming, penetration testing and adversary simulation - across cloud, network and application environments
- Ability to design adversary scenarios grounded in real threat intelligence (e.g. ransomware operators, supply chain attackers, insider threat) tailored to ClickHouse's risk profile as a multi-tenant cloud data platform
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to translate attack chains into clear, actionable findings for engineering and leadership
- Experience building or adapting agentic and LLM-assisted tooling for offensive security use cases (recon automation, exploit chaining, fuzzing harnesses), with judgment on where AI genuinely speeds up an engagement versus adds noise
- Familiarity with AI/LLM-specific vulnerability classes and testing methodology
- Strong knowledge of and experience with one or more cloud service providers (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure), Kubernetes, Cilium
- Experience implementing and operating engineering security tools and processes (e.g. static / dynamic code analysis, software composition analysis, SBOM, OWASP SAMM, client and network fuzzing tools)
- Security as code mindset, with focus on solving problems with automation and scale in mind
Bonus Points:
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related field
- Previous contributions to open source projects
- Security or cloud related certifications (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Previous experience in using AI security harnesses for pentesting purposes
- Experience building or operating internal red team tooling and infrastructure from scratch, rather than relying solely on off-the-shelf frameworks
- Offensive security certifications (e.g. OSCP, OSCE, OSEP, OSWE)

HEALTH CAN’T WAIT.
Not for symptoms to get worse. Not for a six‑month appointment. Not for a system to catch up. But that’s exactly how healthcare works today. You wait, until you can’t.
Alan exists to end the wait.
Health is a universal right, and we believe this right can only become real when it’s coupled with prevention. We need to stop treating health as something we repair and start treating it as something we build, every day. It’s not solely a question of willpower. It’s the healthcare system itself that needs to work for everyone, in a sustainable way.
So we are building the new standard in prevention insurance. Alan is the first company that integrates insurance, prevention, and care into a single, acclaimed user experience.
We are on an incredible journey to build a global leading company, with a unique culture https://alan.com/en/careers. We already partner with 40K+ companies of all sizes, serving more than 1M+ members, and have reached €800M+ in ARR.
Prevention as the new norm. That's what we're building with our team of 1000+ people. If it speaks to you: we're hiring across France, Spain, Belgium, and Canada. And beyond.
⭐ CTO FOUNDER ASSOCIATE INTERNSHIP ⭐
The position is open for an immediate starting date, for a six-month internship.
CTO Founder Associates support the CTO and Senior Alaners on top business priorities, such as unlocking new growth, driving alignment on strategy and building new processes/standards internally and externally. It is a unique chance to work on many tasks in a different and non traditional environment.
You will be highly involved in key challenges for Alan, and will be asked to support high added value tasks for Alan.
⭐ DETAILED MISSIONS ⭐
As such, you can’t be exhaustive on the missions you will perform as a CTO FA, as you can be asked to help on almost any subject.
Possible projects include:
- Tech: Exploring new technologies and their applications for Alan
- Artificial Intelligence: Implementing internal solutions that leverage AI to optimize processes
- Strategy: Contributing to company vision, market analysis, and growth modelling
- Product: Identifying and exploring strategic opportunities
- Corporate & Governance: Supporting board packs, legal research, and public affairs
- Brand & Communication: Developing corporate presence at events and on social media
- Growth: Coordinating RFPs, supporting marketing and partnerships
- Recurring tasks: Coordinating the weekly internal communication, supporting the CTO with his weekly social posts, organizing the monthly event gathering all the Alaners, recruiting the next batch of FAs.
- And many more...
⭐ KEY OUTCOMES ⭐
By the end of the internship period, the intern will have:
- Created new processes and resources, and contributed innovative ideas to improve Founders Associates team efficiency and autonomy
- Gained skills to start your own company as a CTO
- Met incredibly talented and smart people
- Collaborated with the CTO and other Senior Alaners
- Interacted with most of Alan’s communities (Engineers, Product, Strategy, Sales, Marketing, Talent)
- Gained a 360 view of Alan
- Contributed to at least one strategic company project (new product launch, AI model implementation, etc.).
⭐ PROFILE & COMPETENCIES ⭐
- Analytical sense and critical thinking: FAs possess strong abilities to frame the right questions, objectively analyze problems, and simulate possible outcomes.
- Business and product sense: FAs need excellent understanding to think at the company level, assess cross-cutting impacts, and make sound decisions in ambiguous situations.
- Execution and collaboration: The ability to orchestrate and direct people towards objectives is key, given the scope and timeline of work.
- Versatility and education: given the scope of work, FAs should be able to jump from one topic to another with similar impact.
- Organization, time management and autonomy: FAs must excel in managing projects precisely and reliably with minimal external assistance.
- Effective communication: FAs interact with numerous Alaners daily, and therefore need to clearly express their needs, and inspire action in others.
- Always looking for the extra mile: FAs are expected to deliver tasks quickly and well while proactively proposing new initiatives and anticipating future needs.
- Growth mindset: you know how to ask for and receive feedback in order to grow as an FA in your early professional life.
- Fluency in spoken and written English. All our communications are written and in English.
- High agency: FAs seek problems in their environment to solve and are committed to making things happen, whether by building projects, organizing events, mobilizing people towards an idea, etc. When faced with an unfamiliar problem, FAs' first instinct is to find a solution, not to wait for someone else to show them how.
- AI fluency: FAs are comfortable building with AI tools and have artifacts to show -- a tool, a prototype, a workflow, etc
- Technical conceptual understanding: FAs are not necessarily software engineers, but they do have a strong grasp on how technical systems work at a conceptual level. FAs are oftentimes the connection between technical and non-technical teams, so they need to be able to brainstorm with engineers, evaluate tradeoffs, and own technical projects end to end

Experience with contract negotiation and closing smaller-scale deals.
Background in selling SEO, PPC, or CRO retainers alongside core development projects.

Unlike traditional outsourcing agencies, we place you directly with innovative companies where you become a valued member of the team.
About the company
A fast-growing performance marketing agency based in the UK, our client specializes in high-impact patient acquisition for the cosmetic dentistry sector. By combining premium creative production with cutting-edge AI-driven sales systems, the team bridges the gap between lead generation and clinical consultations. They provide a comprehensive solution that includes specialized Meta advertising and automated appointment setting, ensuring high-value cases like Invisalign and dental implants reach the practitioners they serve.
The team operates at the intersection of marketing and technology, priding themselves on being early adopters of AI to drive measurable growth. With a strategic, results-focused culture, they offer an environment where innovation is prioritized to help clients outperform local competition. This is an excellent opportunity to join a scaling, specialist firm that values transparent performance and is dedicated to transforming how healthcare providers manage their digital growth and sales pipelines.
Job Type:
Full-time (Exclusive)
Job Summary
We are a high-growth, UK-focused performance marketing agency specializing exclusively in AI-driven patient acquisition for the cosmetic and implant dentistry sector. Unlike generalist agencies, we own the entire funnel—from high-intent Meta ads to a dedicated appointment-setting team that converts leads into deposit-paid consultations. We are looking for a technical, results-driven Senior Specialist to take full ownership of our paid social engine. This is a role for a "Self-Directed Owner" who thrives on solving complex tracking issues in restricted healthcare categories and delivering stable, high-quality lead volume that keeps our sales team busy and our UK dental clients scaling.
Key Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end performance of Meta (Facebook/Instagram) campaigns, including structure, optimization, and scaling across all dental client accounts.
Manage and fix complex conversion tracking setups, including Pixel, CAPI, GTM, server-side tracking, and custom/offline events.
Navigate and implement workarounds for healthcare-restricted categories where standard Meta optimization is limited.
Monitor account health daily, acting immediately on fluctuations in spend, CPL, or lead quality.
Lead client communication for UK-based practice owners via WhatsApp, Google Meet, and detailed Loom performance walkthroughs.
Coordinate lead flow with the internal appointment-setting team to ensure a consistent pipeline for qualification.
Maintain rigorous documentation of tracking configurations and account decisions to ensure a scalable, maintainable system.
Flag performance issues early and escalate to the founder only when accompanied by a clear, recommended fix
Requirements
3+ years of hands-on experience in Meta media buying (Facebook/Instagram) with a proven track record of hitting CPL/CPA targets in an agency setting.
Technical expertise in conversion tracking: Deep experience with Stape, GTM, server-side CAPI, and diagnosing broken tracking setups (not just installing basic tags).
Proven experience in restricted or regulated categories (e.g., Healthcare, Finance, Insurance) where standard platform tracking is limited.
Exceptional spoken and written English, with the confidence to lead performance calls and explain complex data to UK business owners.
High-ticket lead generation experience (moving beyond basic e-commerce prospecting).
South Africa-based with a reliable remote setup, including backup power and high-speed internet to manage UK business hours (GMT).
A proactive, ownership-focused mindset—we are looking for a specialist who manages the founder, not the other way around.
Nice-to-Haves
Experience with GoHighLevel or similar CRM and automation platforms.
Strong instincts for creative and audience testing methodologies.
Proficiency in Looker Studio for advanced performance reporting.
Experience scaling agencies from small client bases to high-volume retainers.

Who we are
Our mission is to bring clarity and control to the world's most complex codebases. AI is accelerating code creation, but the infrastructure to understand, oversee, and evolve that code hasn't kept pace. Sourcegraph gives engineering organizations full visibility across their systems, precise context for their agents, and the ability to execute coordinated code changes at scale. As agentic development becomes the dominant engineering paradigm, we provide the context layer teams need to take control of their codebase.
With Code Search, Deep Search, MCP, and Agentic Batch Changes, we deliver on that mission today - giving engineering teams and their AI tools the cross-repo context to navigate massive codebases with confidence, and the ability to make changes across hundreds of repositories at once.
Companies like Stripe, Reddit, and Leidos rely on Sourcegraph to ship faster and with higher quality. We're backed by a16z, Sequoia, and Redpoint, and proud to operate as a globally distributed team that values high agency, direct communication, and customer love.
If you want to build the infrastructure that lets every engineering team - and every agent they deploy - operate on their codebase with confidence, join us.

WHO WE ARE
Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkpYpWfEK5s. We're building one place where your knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools live side by side, so work is faster, clearer, and less fragmented. Millions of individuals, small teams, and large companies run their work on Notion.
Notinos (our employees) are customer zero in bringing this future of work to life. We care about craft, building things that last, and the belief that great work is still fundamentally human. Our goal isn’t to ship the next feature. Each and every team of Notinos is working to set the standard for how humans work together in the AI era. From building a business’s system of record to making and managing AI agents to automating away the busy work, we care deeply about giving our customers more time for their life’s work.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Notion’s global Outcomes organization is focused on helping customers achieve business objectives with Notion. As the Growth Strategy & Programs Lead, you will help design and scale the programs, operating rhythms, and cross-functional initiatives that make install-base growth more explosive and repeatable globally.
This is a high-impact strategy and programs role. You will create the clarity, structure, and execution systems that help the business grow existing customers more deliberately.
You will bring analytical rigor to how we understand growth, translate insights into scalable programs, and help teams execute with consistency while still allowing for local market nuance. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable building a model, writing a crisp recommendation, aligning executive stakeholders, and turning a strategy into a practical field motion.
This role will be based in San Francisco. We work from our offices on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays (our Anchor Days) because we do our best thinking and building together in person. We’re looking for someone who’s excited to work alongside the team during those days.
IN YOUR FIRST 90 DAYS, YOU WILL:
- Learn Notion's post-sales operating model, regional execution model, and current install-base growth priorities.
- Partner with RevOps, Data Science, Finance, Sales, Outcomes, and Services leaders to develop a practical view of the key drivers and leading indicators behind retention and expansion.
- Identify a focused set of priority growth programs or plays to support the business in the near term.
- Build the initial program plans, success metrics, stakeholder map, and operating cadence for those priority initiatives.
- Partner with regional teams to understand how global programs should be adapted for local execution.
- Create clear documentation, field-facing materials, and executive-ready updates that help teams align and act.
- Establish a repeatable rhythm for reviewing progress, capturing learnings, and improving
WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE:
- Help build a clear, shared view of the drivers behind expansion and adoption across Notion's customer base.
- Design and scale global programs that support customer adoption, value realization, cross-sell, upsell, and durable growth.
- Partner with regional and functional leaders to turn local learnings into repeatable playbooks, programs, and operating cadences.
- Create measurement, reporting, and review mechanisms that help teams understand what is working and where to focus.
- Support the design of customer growth motions that connect Sales, Services, and Partners.
- Help codify best practices so growth becomes part of the standard operating rhythm, not a set of one-off campaigns.
- Bring structure to ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives and drive them from idea to operational execution.
SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO BRING:
- Experience in management consulting, investment banking, business operations, or post-sales GTM operations.
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills; you can turn ambiguous business questions into clear frameworks, insights, and recommendations.
- Proven ability to design and manage cross-functional programs from strategy through execution.
- Strong stakeholder management across senior leaders and operating teams, with the ability to align people around a shared plan.
- Excellent written communication, including crisp strategy docs, program plans, executive updates, and field-facing materials.
- Comfort working in a global organization where programs need a strong central strategy and room for regional adaptation.
- Ability to operate autonomously, prioritize effectively, and bring structure to fast-moving, ambiguous work.
- Strong business judgment and curiosity about what drives customer adoption, retention, and expansion.
NICE TO HAVES:
- Familiarity with usage-based, consumption-based, or product-led growth models.
- Experience building or scaling global programs across multiple regions or customer segments.
- Exposure to pricing, packaging, services, partners, or monetization initiatives.

They use it to think better, and make their work easier for others to build on.

ABOUT SUPABASE
Supabase is the Postgres development platform, built by developers for developers. We provide a complete backend solution including Database, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions, Realtime, and Vector Search. All services are deeply integrated and designed for growth.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are hiring a AI Platform Engineer to build the execution layer for Supabase's internal AI systems.
Supabase is building an AI-native internal operating system: a common way of working across the company where AI carries a meaningful share of the operational load rather than sitting alongside it as an assistant. We are standing up a new central team to build those systems, enable the teams, and embed AI operations throughout the organization. You are the engineer on that team.
The execution layer is yours. You will build the platform that actually runs agents: an event-triggered queue, a headless model-agnostic runtime, durable state so work survives a restart, a human review gate, atomic rollback, and full logging of every prompt, tool call and decision so any run can be reconstructed. You will build the evaluation layer that makes any of it trustworthy, because an agent that cannot be measured cannot be trusted with anything beyond reading. And you will build the agents themselves, across everything from executive reporting down to a layer of agents that watch the platform and improve it.
This is a governance-heavy environment by design, and that is the interesting part of the problem. Agents are risk-tiered from read-only internal data through to external-facing output, with review depth, evaluation requirements and human approval scaling by tier. Some capabilities are permanently off limits: an agent may read and report, it may carry a human-authored update into a system of record once a human consents, and it may initiate contact within a strict budget, but it may never autonomously write a commitment (an owner, a due date, a status) into a shared work system. Your job is to make that structurally impossible rather than merely forbidden.
You will be the only engineer on this platform. You will close open architecture decisions yourself, own the infrastructure end to end, and instrument the system so it reports its own return.
WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
In this role, you'll:
- Ship the agent platform to production. An event-triggered queue, a headless model-agnostic runtime (choosing the runtime is an open decision you will close), durable state that survives a failed run, a human review gate, atomic rollback, and complete run logging in the warehouse.
- Own the evaluation layer, and switch on the gate that depends on it. Golden suites with behavioral assertions rather than intuition, judge criteria with a written rubric, safety cases that must pass on every run, and a CI gate that blocks a regression from merging. This is the precondition for every agent that does anything beyond read internal data.
- Build and register the agent portfolio. Reporting, drafting, linting, triage and question-answering agents across the executive, team-lead and individual-contributor layers, plus a meta layer that observes the platform and improves it.
- Enforce governance in code. Risk tiers the pipeline actually enforces, least-privilege credentials per agent, tool-permission gates, a decision audit log, and autonomy classes where the dangerous class has no code path rather than a warning label. Nothing runs without a registered owner, tier, tool grant and human gate.
- Design how the system contacts people. A hard interruption budget per person, message bundling instead of a stream of pings, and a structure that gives something useful before it asks for anything. Adoption depends on this more than on any other single design choice.
- Own the platform tooling. The compiler and validator, inventory integrity, and the paths that distribute context and capabilities into the repositories and chat surfaces where work happens.
- Compute the operating measures from production data. A pipeline from raw system activity through to a computed maturity grade per team, defensible enough that a team can dispute the result and be answered with the query rather than an opinion.
- Instrument the platform's own return. A ledger that logs the work each agent absorbs and computes the monthly figure, so the value of the system is a measurement rather than a claim.
HOW YOU'LL THINK
RECURSIVE THINKING
You build the generator, not the artifact. When you need thirty agents, you do not write thirty agents; you build the inventory, the compiler and the distribution path that makes the thirty-first cost an afternoon, then a meta layer whose job is to watch the platform, find its drift and file the fix.
The evaluation layer is the same move applied to trust. You are not checking whether one agent is correct today. You are building the machine that decides whether every future agent is allowed to ship, which means the suite has to be right in a way the agent does not, and the thing that grades has to be graded too.
INVERSION THINKING
You start from the failure and work backward to the design. The rule is that an agent may never autonomously write a commitment into a shared work system. The weak implementation is an instruction in a prompt. The strong one is that the credential in the agent's tool grant physically cannot set an owner, a due date or a status, so no amount of clever input, prompt injection or model error produces the forbidden write. You reach for the second one first.
Same for evaluation. Before writing a suite you enumerate how the agent can be wrong: an update that invents progress that did not happen, one that quotes a private channel into a public digest, one that is accurate and reads as an accusation, one that credits the wrong person. Then the suite is that list, each case caught before the agent ships rather than after it embarrasses someone.
AI-NATIVE EXECUTION
You use agentic tools on real work, in files and repositories, with the same rigor you apply to anything else you ship. You have a setup of your own and can describe it mechanically: what triggers it, what it is allowed to touch, where the human approves, what it logs, and how you found out the one time it went wrong.
That experience is this job, generalized. You are building for async engineers across 40+ countries who will judge the platform by whether it saves them an hour or costs them one, so you are your own first user and your own harshest reviewer.
YOU MIGHT BE A GOOD FIT IF YOU
MUST HAVE
- Have shipped production LLM agent systems that other people depended on. Not demos, not internal showcases. Systems with operational history, real users and at least one incident you can talk through. Prompt engineering on its own does not clear this bar.
- Design evaluations, not spot checks. You build golden sets, write behavioral assertions, define judge rubrics, set pass thresholds and gate CI on the result. You can explain why "we reviewed a bunch of outputs and they looked good" is not evaluation.
- Have done deep API work against the systems work actually lives in, and have authored MCP servers. You know the specific failure modes of those APIs, not just that they exist.
- Own infrastructure end to end in Python on GCP, with a cloud warehouse and infrastructure as code. You provision, deploy, monitor and roll back your own systems, and you close architecture decisions rather than routing them onward.
- Have taste about how software contacts humans. You treat every notification as spending a limited amount of trust.
STRONG SIGNAL
- Public work in this space. An open-source agent framework, an MCP server, an evaluation harness, or writing on agent reliability that other practitioners cite.
- LLM observability and cost instrumentation. Tracing agent runs, attributing spend per run, and building the queries that turn raw logs into a report someone acts on.
- You have built an internal platform that non-engineers adopted voluntarily, and can describe what you changed after watching them use it.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
- The platform is boring. Agents run on a schedule and on events, state survives restarts, failed runs roll back cleanly, and every run can be reconstructed from its log.
- Nothing ships unevaluated. Every registered agent has a real suite with safety cases, the gate blocks regressions, and when someone challenges an output the answer is a test case rather than an argument.
- The dangerous action is impossible, not discouraged. An audit of any agent's credentials shows it cannot perform the writes it is not allowed to perform, and the audit log makes every consequential decision traceable.
- Teams pull the platform instead of being pushed. Agents get adopted because the reports are useful and the contact is rare and well-timed, and each team ends up with at least one workflow that runs automatically.
- The platform reports its own value. The work absorbed is measured and published, so the case for expanding it is made with data rather than enthusiasm.
