500M+ downloads. 80M+ monthly users. A decade of building – and we’re still accelerating.
Flo is the world’s #1 health & fitness app worldwide on a mission to build a better future for female health. Backed by a $200M investment led by General Atlantic, we became the first product of our kind to reach a $1B valuation in 2024 – and we’re not slowing down.
With 7M paid subscribers and the highest-rated experience in the App Store’s health category, we’ve spent 10 years earning trust at scale. Now, we’re building the next generation of digital health – AI-powered, privacy-first, clinically backed – to help our users know their body better.
The job
We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer with strong LLM and product engineering experience to join our AI Platform team and help ship the AI-driven features across our app — including personalized in-app content recommendations, conversational AI-powered insights, and AI-generated mobile push notifications. You will focus on the product-facing behavior of our GenAI features (relevance, quality, latency, and safety), using the platform’s judges, fine-tuning pipelines, and evaluation tools, and contributing to infrastructure work (Databricks, AWS, Terraform) as initiatives require it.
What you’ll do
Feature development:
build and ship LLM-powered product features, including AI-generated mobile push notifications, personalized in-app content recommendations and custom user journeys, and conversational AI-powered insights — including structured output such as charts and widgets
Latency and UX:
reduce perceived and actual response latency through streaming, pregeneration, and inference-time tradeoffs, working closely with product and design on how AI output is experienced by users
Prompt and model behavior:
iterate on prompt design and calibration, use fine-tuned health-domain models (Llama, Gemma, MedGemma) where relevant, and work with the Judge-as-a-Service ecosystem to keep outputs safe and high quality
Experimentation:
help enable A/B testing for model and prompt changes, using evaluation gates to ship safely and measure impact
Data and evaluation:
contribute to synthetic Q&A generation, golden test sets, and evaluation dataset design that supports the features you’re building
Infrastructure:
contribute to Databricks, AWS (EKS), Terraform, or CI/CD work as initiatives require it
Cross-functional impact:
collaborate with Product, Security, Analytics, and Medical teams, and engage with technology partners (Databricks, Google, OpenAI, Anthropic, AWS) on pre-release capabilities relevant to your features
Experience and skills
Must have:
7+ years of software engineering, with recent hands-on experience building product features backed by LLMs
experience with at least one of: prompt engineering, LLM evaluation, fine-tuning, or model serving
strong Python, and comfort working with APIs/SDKs that wrap LLM calls, prompt templates, and structured outputs
product sensibility: a track record of shipping user-facing features, with attention to latency, tone, and quality of AI output as experienced by end users
comfort picking up new infrastructure tools (Databricks, AWS, Terraform, GitHub Actions) as needed — deep prior expertise not required
Nice to have:
LLM evaluation frameworks (judges, graders, calibration methodology) or fine-tuning techniques (LoRA, RLHF/DPO, model distillation)
prompt optimisation frameworks (DSPy or similar)
feature stores or personalization/ranking experience (relevant to in-app content recommendation work)
healthcare, regulated-industry, or safety-critical AI systems experience
data engineering fundamentals (Spark, Delta tables, Parquet)

We support impact with meaningful reward. Here’s what that looks like:
Competitive salary and annual reviews
Opportunity to participate in Flo’s performance incentive scheme

Finom is a fast-growing European tech startup, headquartered in Amsterdam, on a mission to revolutionize the financial landscape for entrepreneurs globally. We are developing an all-in-one financial B2B solution that seamlessly integrates banking functions, accounting, financial management, and invoicing into a mobile-first platform.
Following a significant €115 million Series C equity round, bringing our total funding to approximately $346 million, we are expanding aggressively across key EU markets (Germany, France, Netherlands, Italy, Spain). We go beyond traditional banking, offering invoicing and a growing suite of features, including AI-enabled accounting, to simplify financial management for small and medium-sized businesses.
At Finom, we empower our employees to make a real difference. We nurture an innovative and inspiring environment where bold ideas thrive, prioritizing thorough research, swift implementation, and ensuring every effort benefits our users, partners, and our business as a whole.
Engineering Manager - Product
We're looking for an Engineering Manager who's both a technical leader and a product builder. You'll guide a cross-functional team (5-10 engineers across backend, frontend, mobile, and QA) in delivering products that create real value for hundreds of thousands of businesses across Europe.
What You Will Be Doing
You're a seasoned technical leader with strong engineering roots and a track record of building teams that ship products that matter. You communicate clearly with everyone – engineers, product managers, executives – and you're genuinely curious about the product, the users, the business, and how your team's work drives real impact.
You don't just manage delivery. You challenge problem framing with your PM partner, ensure the team solves the right problems, and think in terms of business outcomes, not just technical outputs. You're comfortable discussing retention and conversion funnels alongside system architecture. You help the team understand ROI and prioritize based on value and effort.
You have deep technical expertise and can still step in to unblock when needed. You balance feature delivery with technical debt, keeping scalability in mind while ensuring the team ships at pace. You make technical decisions through explicit trade-offs, not gut feelings, and help everyone understand the "why" behind choices.
You take ownership of both outcomes and people. You run meaningful 1:1s, create growth plans, and own hiring and promotions. You build engaged teams through honest feedback and coaching. You invest in making the team more productive – better tools, smarter processes, fewer bottlenecks.
You drive predictable delivery by partnering tightly with Product and Design. You communicate proactively about priorities, risks, and constraints. You encourage healthy debate and move toward "disagree and commit" when needed.
Who You Are
5+ years of software development building data-intensive production systems
Proven track record leading cross-functional engineering teams
Deep technical knowledge: hands-on experience with at least one of the common general-purpose languages and platforms (C#/.NET, Java/JVM, JavaScript/Node, Go), distributed architectures, databases, messaging and queueing systems.
Experience in product-led organizations, ideally with international scopeStrong business acumen – you connect engineering work to revenue, retention, and trust
Comfortable with product metrics (DAU/MAU, retention, conversion funnels)
Exceptional communication in English across all audiencesA builder's mentality: you care about shipping great products and growing great teams
Our tech stack
Backend: .NET Core, PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Kubernetes
You'll lead teams using React, Swift/Kotlin, Python/ML frameworks, and modern QA tools
What You Will Get In Return
Make a genuine impact on the product
We're a growing fintech serving hundreds of thousands of European businesses. You'll lead a domain team with real ownership and autonomy over what you build and how you build it. This is a place for curious leaders who want to grow as technical managers, product thinkers, and people leaders.

About Finom
Finom is a European tech startup headquartered in Amsterdam, and we’re on a journey towards revolutionizing the financial landscape for entrepreneurs worldwide. Our mission is to develop an all-in-one financial B2B solution that integrates banking functions, accounting, financial management, and invoicing into a seamless, mobile-first platform.
We recently closed a €115 million Series C equity round (around $133 million), bringing our total funding to approximately $346 million. This significant investment follows a $105 million growth funding round from General Catalyst, a long-term backer since 2021 known for supporting companies like Airbnb, HubSpot, KAYAK, and Stripe.
Finom's platform goes beyond traditional banking, offering invoicing and a growing suite of features, including AI-enabled accounting, aiming to simplify financial management for entrepreneurs. We're actively expanding our reach across key EU markets like Germany, France, the Netherlands, Italy, and Spain.
At Finom, we’re not just redefining the entrepreneurial experience — we’re empowering our employees to make a real difference. Your work matters, and your impact extends far beyond product metrics. We nurture innovation and an inspiring work environment where bold ideas thrive, prioritizing thorough research, swift implementation of solutions, and ensuring that every effort we make benefits our users, employees, partners, and our business as a whole.
Maintaining our start-up spirit, we prioritize thorough research, swift implementation of solutions, and ensuring that every effort we make benefits our users, employees, partners, and, of course, our business.
We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who thinks like a product builder, thrives in a collaborative, cross-functional environment, and is passionate about creating robust, scalable financial infrastructure. You'll be part of a domain team where various engineering crafts (Backend, Frontend, Mobile, ML/AI engineers, and QA) work together to own and evolve a shared product area that delivers real value to hundreds of thousands of businesses across Europe.
About You and What You'll Do:
You're pragmatic, learn quickly, and have a proven track record of shipping products that matter. You communicate clearly across disciplines and genuinely enjoy the dynamics of a cross-functional team where everyone contributes to solving the same customer problems. Above all, you're curious – about the product, the users, the business, and how your technical decisions impact all three.
As a product-minded backend engineer, you don't just implement tickets. You understand the "why" behind what you're building, challenge assumptions when needed, and proactively identify opportunities to create better outcomes. You're comfortable discussing trade-offs with product managers, explaining technical constraints to business stakeholders, and collaborating with frontend and mobile engineers to design elegant end-to-end solutions.
You have deep expertise in .NET and C# with a strong appreciation for maintainable, scalable code, and distributed architectures. But more importantly, you know when to apply that expertise and when simpler solutions serve the product better. You've built data-intensive applications before and understand the concepts of working in a regulated environment.
You take ownership not just of your code, but of the outcomes. You move without being prompted, whether that's jumping into a customer issue, improving team processes, or mentoring colleagues. You're curious about adjacent domains – you might peek at the frontend code, ask questions about the ML models, or dive into analytics to understand how features perform.
Quality is non-negotiable for you. Automated testing, thorough code reviews, and security best practices are fundamental to how you work. You balance technical excellence with pragmatism, always keeping the end user and business goals in mind.
Your experience includes:
At least 5 years of professional backend development with a product engineering mindset
Excellent knowledge of .NET platform and C#
Hands-on experience architecting and evolving distributed systems in production
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with product managers, designers, and engineers from other disciplines
Strong business acumen – you understand how your work connects to company objectives
Clear, concise communication in English across technical and non-technical audiences
A builder's mentality: you care deeply about shipping great products, not just writing great code
Our tech stack
Backend: .NET/C#, PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Kubernetes, GCP.
You'll work alongside teams using React (Web), Swift (iOS) / Kotlin (Android), Python/ML frameworks, and modern test automation tools (Playwright, Appium).

About the role
Finance at Descript isn’t a back office function. It’s a strategic partner in shaping where and how we grow. This role exists to turn insight into leverage, helping the company make smarter bets, allocate capital effectively, and improve the efficiency of our go to market engine. You will report to the VP of Finance and operate as a senior individual contributor with high ownership.
Your scope covers the full growth funnel, from top of funnel through conversion, retention, and ARR. You will own GTM and growth models, partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Growth, and Data teams, act as a thought partner to GTM leadership on goal setting, performance tracking, and identifying growth opportunities across self serve, product led, and sales led motions.
We are looking for someone who sees GTM finance as both analytical and strategic. Someone who enjoys building models and metrics, but also shaping the narrative around growth. You are comfortable working directly in SQL, navigating imperfect data, and translating complexity into clear recommendations that influence how Descript grows.
What you will do
Own Descript’s top of funnel and growth models, from signups to paid conversion to ARR and retention.
Own sales-led revenue forecasting, including pipeline modeling, win rates, sales capacity, and quota-driven ARR.
Build and maintain GTM financial models including ARR builds, channel performance, cohort analysis, and scenario modeling.
Partner deeply with the data team to define metrics, improve data framework, and enable reliable self-serve analytics for finance and GTM.
Design and maintain dashboards for key GTM metrics such as signups by channel, conversion rates, new ARR, retention, and payback.
Identify growth opportunities across self-serve, product-led, and sales-assisted motions and quantify their impact.
Define GTM goal setting frameworks and track performance against targets.
Analyze marketing and growth efficiency, including ROI, CAC, payback, and funnel conversion.
Support pricing, packaging, and monetization initiatives with clear financial analysis.
Communicate insights to leadership in a clear, decision-oriented way, including exec and board materials when needed.
What you bring
7 to 10+ years of experience in strategic finance, GTM finance, growth analytics, or related roles at SaaS companies.
Strong GTM intuition with hands-on experience in top of funnel analysis, ARR modeling, and revenue forecasting.
Advanced SQL skills and the ability to self-serve data end to end.
Experience supporting both B2B and B2C SaaS models.
Strong financial modeling skills, especially around growth scenarios and funnel dynamics.
Experience supporting monetization experiments, pricing, and packaging
Experience partnering with data teams and working with large, imperfect datasets.
Clear communicator who can translate data into actions and recommendations.
Comfortable with ambiguity, high ownership, and building things from scratch.
Solid understanding of SaaS metrics across PLG and sales-led motions.
If you don’t tick every box above, we’d still encourage you to apply. We’re building a diverse team whose skills balance and complement one another.
The base salary range for this role is $160,000 - $215,000/year. Final offer amounts will carefully consider multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise, and location, and may vary from the amount above.

You'll work closely with designers and product managers to bring features from concept to shipped experience, obsessing over the details that make the difference: how something feels when you first land on it, how smoothly a new interaction flows, how an interface holds up under real-world use.
The pace is fast, the product is evolving quickly, and the opportunity to have a visible, direct impact on how millions of people use AI is real. If you love building consumer products and care about getting the details right, this could be a great fit.
Responsibilities:
Set technical direction for the Claude product and its features
Build and ship user-facing features for Claude's web and desktop experience
Own the quality bar for how the product looks and feels, treating latency, responsiveness, and reliability as first-class concerns rather than afterthoughts, and advocate for user experience and design considerations early in the process
Collaborate tightly with product managers to understand user needs, shape feature scope, and make informed tradeoffs as you build
Iterate quickly based on user feedback and internal testing, improving the experience on a continuous basis
You may be a good fit if you:
Have 5+ years of experience building consumer-facing web products, with a strong emphasis on UI quality and user experience
Are proficient in React, Next.js, and TypeScript, and have experience with Node.js on the backend side of the stack
Genuinely care about the user experience — not just how something looks, but how fast it loads, how reliably it works, and how it feels across devices. You think about latency and responsiveness the same way you think about design
Collaborate well with designers and product managers, and enjoy the iterative process of turning a design into something that works beautifully in the browser
Are comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities shift and shipping quickly matters
Pick up slack, even if it goes outside your job description
Strong candidates may also have experience with:
Performance optimization for consumer web apps — profiling, reducing bundle size, improving rendering performance, and understanding where latency comes from end-to-end
Designing and implementing responsive layouts that work well across screen sizes and devices
Working on products with real-time or streaming interactions (chat interfaces, live updates, etc.)
Working in fast-moving consumer product environments
Candidates need not have:
100% of the skills needed to perform the job
Formal certifications or education credentials
The annual compensation range for this role is listed below.
For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.
Annual Salary:
$320,000
—
$405,000 USD
Logistics
Minimum education:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
Required field of study:
A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
Minimum years of experience:
Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position
Location-based hybrid policy:
Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
Visa sponsorship:
We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification.
Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.
Your safety matters to us.

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.
