Partner with Data Engineering and MLOps to operationalize models in production (batch and real-time/low-latency); build training, experiment tracking (MLflow), and model/data drift monitoring pipelines.
Experimentation & Business Impact:
Design A/B tests and statistical evaluations to measure model performance against key business metrics (reduced fraud losses, transaction acceptance rates, decision latency).
R&D & Technical Leadership:
Explore emerging techniques (LLMs/GenAI, graph-based methods), establish engineering best practices, and mentor fellow team members.
Requirements (Must-Have):
Experience:
5+ years of hands-on experience in Data Science / ML, with a strong focus on
designing and building new ML models from scratch
and delivering them into production with measurable business impact.
English:
B2+ (Upper-Intermediate or higher)
— fluent written and spoken communication for technical discussions and daily collaboration with an international team.
Math & Modeling Foundations:
Deep understanding of statistics, probability, and validation methodologies; practical experience handling class imbalance, model calibration, and anomaly detection.
Tech Stack:
Python:
Advanced proficiency (Scikit-learn, Pandas, NumPy);
Deep Learning:
Hands-on experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow;
SQL:

Experience with cloud data platforms (Snowflake), Feature Stores, and event-driven architectures.
Background in time-series forecasting, graph neural networks, Explainable AI (XAI), or applied LLM solutions.
Master’s degree or Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline.

By identifying actionable insights and defining clear measurement frameworks, you'll play a vital role in ensuring WHOOP's platform investments drive both growth and trust.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

QUALIFICATIONS:

Interested in the role, but don’t meet every qualification? We encourage you to still apply! The WHOOP compensation philosophy is designed to attract, motivate, and retain exceptional talent by offering competitive base salaries, meaningful equity, and consistent pay practices that reflect our mission and core values.
At WHOOP, we view total compensation as the combination of base salary, equity, and benefits, with equity serving as a key differentiator that aligns our employees with the long-term success of the company and allows every member of our corporate team to own part of WHOOP and share in the company’s long-term growth and success.
The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $120,000 -$155,000. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within each range, individual pay is based on factors such as job-related skills, experience, performance, and relevant education or training.
In addition to the base salary, the successful candidate will also receive benefits and a generous equity package.

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the Role
Anthropic is investing in shared platform capabilities that power Claude across our consumer and developer products: the common foundation that Claude, Cowork, Claude Code, and future surfaces are built on. We're hiring a Technical Program Manager to be the connective tissue for this effort, someone who ensures we're building the platform the rest of Anthropic's products are built on, and that product teams actually get leverage from it.
This is not a single-team TPM role. You'll work across the platform engineering teams and every product team that consumes the platform, driving one cohesive roadmap rather than a collection of disconnected workstreams. Success looks like products at Anthropic shipping more easily, faster, and more reliably because they're built on a common foundation, with developer velocity increasing measurably across the company, not just within one team.
Responsibilities
Own the cross-Apps platform roadmap end to end: sequencing, dependencies, and tradeoffs across platform teams and the apps teams that depend on them
Drive alignment between platform engineering and apps teams so platform investments map to real consumer needs and adoption actually happens (leverage only exists if teams build on the platform)
Identify duplication across surfaces and convert it into shared platform capabilities
Establish the operating rhythm: planning, status, escalation paths, and launch coordination across orgs
Create program documentation including roadmaps, status reports, risk assessments, and communication plans
Facilitate technical decision-making by bringing together stakeholders, driving consensus, and ensuring timely resolution of blocking issues
You may be a good fit if you
Have several years of experience in technical program management, with a track record of successfully delivering complex, cross-functional programs
Have experience with platform engineering efforts (shared services, developer platforms, or common capabilities consumed by multiple product teams) and can engage meaningfully with the engineers building them
Have driven platform adoption across consuming teams, where success depended on other teams choosing to build on what you shipped
Have experience coordinating across multiple engineering teams and organizations simultaneously
Are highly organized and can manage multiple parallel workstreams effectively across distributed teams
Thrive in unstructured environments with a knack for bringing order to chaos and creating clarity in ambiguous situations
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence without authority
Are passionate about Anthropic's mission and interested in the challenges of bringing AI capabilities to users safely and reliably
The annual compensation range for this role is listed below.
For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.
Annual Salary:
$365,000
—
$435,000 USD
Logistics
Minimum education:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
Required field of study:
A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
Minimum years of experience:
Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position
Location-based hybrid policy:
Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
Visa sponsorship:
We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification.
Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.
Your safety matters to us.
To protect yourself from potential scams, remember that Anthropic recruiters only contact you from @anthropic.com email addresses. In some cases, we may partner with vetted recruiting agencies who will identify themselves as working on behalf of Anthropic. Be cautious of emails from other domains. Legitimate Anthropic recruiters will never ask for money, fees, or banking information before your first day. If you're ever unsure about a communication, don't click any links—visit

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

Extreme ownership mentality: you are someone who flags opportunities and solves problems without being asked.
Mastery of performance metrics, including the ability to maintain a minimum 2x ROAS (at 30% profit margins) for clients.
Highly structured testing methodology with a focus on data-driven experimentation over ad-hoc changes.
