About the Opportunity
You will join our Data & Analytics team, which owns two core data domains end to end:
• Public market data — trades, quotes, funding, and full order-book data continuously captured from global crypto exchanges at petabyte scale.
• Proprietary trading data — orders, fills, positions, balances, and settlement activity streamed from internal desks and systems.
We are one team rather than separate engineering and analytics functions. The same people build pipelines, model data, validate its correctness, and answer the business questions it supports. You will see data problems through end to end: from the exchange connection or internal source through to the analysis produced from it.
This is an exciting time to join. We are rebuilding the platform on ClickHouse, Apache Iceberg, and Kafka while continuing to support live trading. The work combines substantial platform design with hands-on ownership of business-critical data.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Build and operate pipelines that bring market and trading data into our platform, including ingestion, parsing, normalization, validation, and storage.
• Build and extend Python- and SQL-based datasets and data models used by trading desks, quants, research, and analytics teams.
• Own data correctness through source reconciliation, data-quality and completeness checks, gap and duplicate detection, backfills, and replays.
• Investigate discrepancies end to end. Trace unexpected numbers through the pipeline to the source and fix root causes rather than symptoms.
• Onboard new exchanges, venues, products, and internal data sources, addressing real-world external-feed behaviour including authentication, rate limits, disconnects, missing history, and schema changes.
• Support data users through query support, data access, APIs, and client libraries.
• Operate what you build, including monitoring, alerting, and incident response for owned pipelines and datasets.
• Contribute to the migration toward ClickHouse, Iceberg, Kafka, and Kubernetes by running new and legacy paths in parallel, reconciling results, and cutting over safely.
• Use AI coding assistants and LLM tooling to improve development, debugging, and data investigation, while applying sound judgement and independently validating outputs.
• Depending on team needs and your strengths, develop deeper expertise in either real-time platform and pipeline engineering or proprietary trading-data datasets and analysis. Both are core to the team.
What We Look For In You
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, software engineering, or analytics engineering.
• Strong production-quality programming skills in Java, Python, or both.
• Sound data-modelling judgement. You can design schemas that scale with evolving data and use cases, including keys, granularity, partitioning, and schema evolution.
• Ability to reason about query behaviour and performance over large datasets.
• Demonstrated production ownership. You have designed, delivered, and operated a pipeline, service, or dataset that other teams depend on, including its reliability, monitoring, and failure modes.
• Rigour in data correctness. You validate outputs before they reach users, cross-check against independent sources where possible, and treat silent data errors as serious defects.
• Structured problem-solving under uncertainty. You can decompose ambiguous data discrepancies, form and test hypotheses, and reach defensible conclusions while clearly stating assumptions and outstanding verification needs.
• Strong initiative and persistence. You identify gaps, act without waiting for direction, work through difficult problems, and get up to speed quickly on unfamiliar systems and domains.
• Strong communication skills in both Chinese and English.
Nice to Have
• Experience in crypto, market data, trading systems, or trading operations.
• Strong Java systems-engineering capability, including JVM and concurrency fundamentals, profiling, performance tuning, and reliable high-throughput services.
• Strong Python data-engineering capability, including pandas, Polars, PyArrow, or Spark; experience with vectorisation, memory behaviour, and processing datasets larger than memory.
• Experience delivering tested, packaged Python tooling that other teams depend on.
• Depth in trading-data analysis, such as reconstructing positions from fills, balances from transfers, or PnL across settlement or expiry boundaries.
• Experience reconciling derived trading data against authoritative sources and resolving discrepancies between systems.
• Experience with real-time streaming pipelines, ideally Kafka, including ordering, gap detection, checkpoints, restart recovery, and replay.
• Hands-on experience with time-series or analytical databases, including partitioning, retention, and query-performance tuning at scale.
• Exposure to Apache Iceberg, Parquet, Spark, gRPC, Kubernetes, or cloud data infrastructure.
• Experience building connectors to external REST or WebSocket APIs.
Working Model
• Hong Kong, onsite (in-office).
Perks & Benefits
• Competitive total compensation package.
• Learning and development programs and education subsidy for employees’ growth and development.
• Various team-building programs and company events.
• Wellness and meal allowances.
• Comprehensive healthcare schemes for employees and dependents.
• More that we would love to tell you about during the process.
Please note that Hong Kong is a group-level service hub, and
OKX
does not carry on a business of operating a virtual asset trading platform in Hong Kong.

Millwork Shop Manager
Location: Long Island City, NY
Compensation: Competitive, commensurate with experience
Employment Type: Full-Time, On-Site
About the Role
Our client is a high-end custom millwork operation based in Long Island City, producing luxury grade millwork for prestigious residential projects. Their 12,000 sq ft shop is a full-service fabrication environment — design review, production, finishing, delivery, and installation — and they hold every project to an uncompromising standard of craftsmanship.
They are seeking an experienced Millwork Shop Manager to take full ownership of shop operations: workflow, production scheduling, quality control, estimating, procurement, and site coordination. This is a leadership role for someone who knows the millwork trade from the inside out and can run a shop with the discipline and attention to detail that luxury residential work demands.
What We’re Looking For
The right candidate has managed a millwork shop before — not just supervised on the floor, but owned the full operational picture. They know wood, they know hardware, they know how to read a shop drawing and spot a problem before it becomes a field issue.
A proven shop manager with luxury residential or high-end interior millwork experience
Technically strong in shop drawing review, site measurement, and estimating
Operationally sharp — able to manage schedules, procurement, and multiple concurrent projects without losing control of quality
A clear communicator with clients, architects, site supers, and vendors
A leader who holds the team to the standard the product requires
Core Responsibilities
Shop Operations & Production
Manage all daily operations of the millwork shop including workflow sequencing, production scheduling, quality control, and safety compliance
Oversee fabrication processes end to end, ensuring all finished products meet luxury grade standards of craftsmanship, detail, and customization
Enforce safety protocols and maintain a safe, organized shop environment
Stay current on industry trends, materials, hardware, and fabrication techniques relevant to high-end millwork
Drawing Review & Field Coordination
Review and approve all shop drawings for accuracy, feasibility, and adherence to project specifications prior to release for production
Conduct site measurements and coordinate with project teams to verify field conditions and resolve discrepancies before they impact fabrication
Estimating & Procurement
Prepare detailed estimates and material take-offs for all millwork components, accurately assessing costs and resource requirements
Procure all materials required for production — wood species, hardware, finishes, and accessories — within established budget parameters
Delivery, Installation & Project Coordination
Schedule, coordinate, and monitor the delivery and on-site installation of millwork components, maintaining project timelines throughout
Communicate proactively with site superintendents, architects, clients, and vendors to clarify requirements and manage expectations
Qualifications
Proven experience managing or supervising a residential or commercial millwork shop, preferably in the luxury or high-end interior market — required
Strong working knowledge of wood species, hardware, finishes, and fabrication techniques
Expertise in shop drawing review, site measurements, and project estimating
Excellent organizational and leadership skills with the ability to coordinate multiple concurrent projects
Effective communicator — able to liaise professionally with clients, architects, vendors, and project teams
Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability when project conditions change
Proficiency in AutoCAD 2023 (drafting and drawing review) is a plus
Experience with Procore or comparable project management platforms is advantageous
The Opportunity
This is a strong opportunity for an experienced millwork professional to step into a shop leadership role at a company that takes genuine pride in what it produces. Our client offers competitive compensation commensurate with experience, a well-equipped 12,000 sq ft facility, and a team culture defined by craft and quality. If you are an operationally sharp shop manager who thrives in a high-standard environment and wants to own the operation — not just supervise it — we want to hear from you.
Our client is an equal opportunity employer.

ABOUT BASETEN
Baseten powers mission-critical inference for the world's most dynamic AI companies, like Cursor, Notion, OpenEvidence, Abridge, Clay, Gamma, and Writer. By uniting applied AI research, flexible infrastructure, and seamless developer tooling, we enable companies operating at the frontier of AI to bring cutting-edge models into production. We're growing quickly and recently raised our $1.5B Series F https://www.baseten.co/blog/announcing-our-series-f/, led by Altimeter Capital, Conviction Partners, and Spark Capital. Join us and help build the platform engineers turn to ship AI products.
THE ROLE
This role sits at the frontier of our research agenda. You will pursue open problems at the intersection of post-training methodology and performant inference, and then collaborate with research engineering to translate findings into production systems.
A meaningful portion of your time will be dedicated to research that deepens our understanding of how models learn, alignment, and architectural efficiency — questions that may not have immediate product application. The remainder will be directed toward research that solves concrete problems for Baseten's platform and customers, who are the fastest growing AI companies in the world like Cursor, Lovable, and Notion.
We are looking for someone with sharp research taste and genuine creative instinct for problem selection. Someone who can identify questions that matter, design clean experiments to answer them, and push the state of the art. The environment here is not theoretical, but rather research that can be validated with eager customers who are serving billions of tokens a second.
The Manifesto: https://labs.baseten.co/manifesto
RECENT RESEARCH
- Towards infinite context windows: neural KV cache compaction https://www.baseten.co/research/towards-infinite-context-windows-neural-kv-cache-compaction/
- Dense, on-policy or both? https://www.baseten.co/research/dense-on-policy-or-both/
- Repeated kv cache for long-running agents https://www.baseten.co/research/repeated-kv-cache-for-long-running-agents/
- Distillation without the dark – replicating black-box on-policy distillation on Baseten https://www.baseten.co/research/distillation-without-the-dark/
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define and pursue a research agenda spanning both foundational and applied work, with the applied component connected to Baseten's platform and customer needs.
- Design and execute rigorous experiments, frequently at meaningful scale (multi-node, trillion parameter models).
- Work with customers to translate domain-specific requirements into research problems, where relevant to your agenda.
- Publish at top venues (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR) and establish Baseten's research presence.
- Collaborate with model performance and training infrastructure teams to bridge research findings and inference production systems.
- Mentor junior researchers and shape the technical direction of the research organization as it grows.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s or PhD research depth in machine learning, with first-author publications at top venues
- Demonstrated ability to move from theory through implementation to empirical results — not exclusively theoretical or exclusively engineering work
- Judgment about problem selection, the ability to distinguish research that advances a metric from research that changes how systems are built
- Willingness to operate in a startup environment where the majority of research informs product decisions, with timelines measured in months rather than years
- Background spanning multiple research areas (e.g., both interpretability and RL, or both systems and training methodology)
- Track record of open-source contributions or community building in ML research
OUR VIEW ON TALENT
Many of the labs that exist today run a credentialist talent model. Concentrate the most already-legible researchers, and assume the concentration compounds. The best researchers in this field are very often not yet legible. Research engineers who have spent years inside a production stack and developed insights no PhD program teaches; PhDs working on the wrong-shaped problem at the right-shaped lab; operators who have been close to real systems long enough to see things credentialed researchers have never had to see. If you don’t have the traditional qualifications and are doing exceptional work, we’d love to chat.
BENEFITS
- Competitive compensation, including meaningful equity
- (U.S. only) 100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee and dependents
- Flexible PTO policy including company wide Winter Break (our offices are closed from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day!)
- Paid parental leave
- Fertility and family-building stipend through Carrot
- (U.S. only) Company-facilitated 401(k)
- Exposure to a variety of ML startups, offering unparalleled learning and networking opportunities.
Apply now to embark on a rewarding journey in shaping the future of AI! If you are a motivated individual with a passion for machine learning and a desire to be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team, we would love to hear from you.
At Baseten, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. We provide equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, genetic information, disability, or veteran status.
We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable law (by example, the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, where applicable).

We are building AI to simulate the world through merging art and science.
We believe that world models are at the frontier of progress in artificial intelligence. Language models alone won’t solve the world’s hardest problems – robotics, disease, scientific discovery. Real progress requires models that experience the world and learn from their mistakes, the same way that humans do. And this kind of trial and error can be massively accelerated when done in simulation, rather than in the real world.
World models offer the most clear path to general-purpose simulation, changing how stories are told, how scientific progress is made and how the next frontiers of humanity are reached.
Our team consists of creative, open minded, caring and ambitious people who are determined to change the world. We aspire to continuously build impossible things and our ability to do so relies on building an incredible team. If you are driven to do the same, we'd love to hear from you.

We are primarily an in-person company based in San Francisco, with growing offices across North America, Europe, and Asia.
We are guided by a set of values that are at the core of our actions and define our culture: Trust, Customer Obsession, Craftsmanship, Intensity, and a commitment to balancing Family along the way. These values are the foundation of our work, and we are committed to upholding them in everything we do.
Our co-founders are Bret Taylor https://www.linkedin.com/in/brettaylor/ and Clay Bavor https://www.linkedin.com/in/claybavor/. Bret currently serves as Board Chair of OpenAI. Previously, he was co-CEO of Salesforce (which had acquired the company he founded, Quip) and CTO of Facebook. Bret was also one of Google's earliest product managers and co-creator of Google Maps. Before founding Sierra, Clay spent 18 years at Google, where he most recently led Google Labs. Earlier, he started and led Google’s AR/VR effort, Project Starline, and Google Lens. Before that, Clay led the product and design teams for Google Workspace.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Act as a primary point of accountability for customer trust enablement, including participation in customer meetings, security reviews and AI governance.
- Contribute to AI Governance including building guardrails to align with AI regulations (EU AI Act, ISO 42001, NIST AI RMF and local EU laws).

- Collaborate with Engineering and Product to ensure expectations are reflected in system design and operational effectiveness.
- Translate regulatory and privacy expectations into scalable, region-aware technical controls across model governance, agent security and safety, and data handling.
- Own and evolve customer-facing trust materials and narratives related to AI, privacy, and security.
- Represent Sierra in customer audits and formal assessments, clearly explaining security posture, governance decisions, and risk management approaches.
- Support resilience and response expectations as part of broader governance, with an emphasis on learning and continuous improvement.
- Continuously improve trust by identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, increase automation, and improve signal quality, while maintaining a high bar for accuracy and quality.
WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You will act as a strategic partner to Platform, Security, Product, Agent Development, Legal, and GTM, ensuring security and compliance requirements are embedded into architecture decisions, product roadmaps, and go to market execution while supporting product velocity and technical complexity.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING

- Experience engaging directly with enterprise and regulated customers as a trusted representative of security, privacy, and compliance.
- Ability to translate abstract or evolving regulatory requirements into defensible, real-world practices.
- Comfort operating in ambiguity, making reasoned judgment calls, and clearly articulating rationale and tradeoffs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including close collaboration with Legal and external stakeholders.
EVEN BETTER...
