- Experience authoring, maintaining, and evangelizing technical security architecture documentation.
- Exceptional ability to communicate complex non-deterministic AI risks to both deep technical engineers and executive stakeholders.
- Proven track record of contributing to an enterprise Cybersecurity Risk Register.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience designing runtime sandboxing and isolation technologies (e.g., Firecracker, gVisor, Docker, WebAssembly) for dynamic code execution environments.

Head of Partnerships & Communications, Mirari at
Pink Elephant
Pink Elephant builds infrastructure of products at the frontier of mental health on EU&US markets.
Mental health is a global crisis hiding in plain sight. Nearly 1 in 8 people live with a mental disorder. Depression and anxiety alone strip $1 trillion from the global economy every year. Conventional treatment leaves most patients cycling through mediocre solutions for years - undertreated, undersupported, and underinformed. Progressive therapies are showing results up to 10 times more effective than standard care. Yet fewer than 5% of people can access them.
We're here to close that gap.
Our portfolio spans two fronts. The first is psychedelics - building the media, vetted practitioners directory and education for both therapists and end users. Such a synergy is designed to make evidence-based psychedelic care a real option for the millions who need it, not just those lucky enough to know the right person. The second part is everyday mental healthcare - mental health diagnostics, antidepressant journeys, the unmet clinical touchpoints, the patients who leave a 20-minute appointment with a prescription and no roadmap.
The Role
As the
Head of Partnerships & Communications
for Mirari (the education vertical of Pink Elephant), you will build the partner side of Mirari and run its communications end to end, with your own hands. Mirari is being relaunched as a shared platform for short author-led courses in the European psychedelic education and therapy space. You will work alongside the Head of Product as one of two core leaders in the vertical, bringing teachers and organisations onto the platform and driving organic growth through network-driven strategies.
Responsibilities: What you drive
Teacher & Organisational Partnerships (The Core):
Identify, pitch, and onboard leading European psychedelic teachers, researchers, and practitioners. Form strategic alliances with relevant organisations for co-hosted webinars, newsletter exchanges, affiliate/referral set-ups, and presence at key annual conferences. Leveraging group assets (States of Mind podcasts, PsyStandard community, PsyAccess) as part of the partnership toolkit.
End-to-End Course Communications:
Create launch packs for every course (landing copy, email sequences, social posts, webinar pages, replays, and partner kits with tracked links). Maintain Mirari’s voice and positioning across LinkedIn, Instagram, site, and email campaigns. Manage webinar operations (announcements, registration, production, follow-ups).
AI-Powered Content Engine:
Build, automate, and maintain a repeatable content machine using AI tools for writing, research, and operations rather than producing every asset manually.
Performance Ownership & Measurement:
Own key goal metrics: courses announced, audience collected (webinar registrations and email subscribers), and course enrolments. Maintain a weekly one-screen report.
Success Milestones (First 90 Days):
Maintain all running webinars and communications, prepare launch packs, open 10+ network conversations, run 3+ webinars, launch 3+ organisational partnerships, announce 5+ courses, collect 500+ audience members, and establish enrollment tracking.
Experience: What you bring
Active European Network:
An existing, verifiable network in the European psychedelic field (education, therapy, research, harm reduction, integration, retreats) with strong relationships to open conversations immediately.
Relevant Experience:
5+ years in partnerships, communications, community, or BD (preferably in education, health, or mission-driven orgs); proven track record of building initiatives from zero.
Execution Mindset:
Highly hands-on temperament - comfortable writing emails, making calls, hosting webinars, and refining landing pages in a two-person vertical structure.
AI-Native Skills:
Daily proficiency with AI tools to scale content production, research, writing, and workflow automation.
Communication & Location:
Excellent written and spoken English in a sober, evidence-aware tone; understanding of legal/platform regulations on psychedelics; based in Europe (remote).
Nice-to-Haves:
Experience marketing online courses/cohorts, public speaking/hosting, knowledge of email/analytics tools (Kit, MailerLite, Brevo), and a second European language.
What Success Looks Like
The person steps into a running launch calendar: webinars and all course communication are theirs to maintain from the first month, and the kits (launch pack, partner kit) are prepared by them in that month.
First 30 days: all running webinars and course communication maintained; launch pack and partner kit prepared and in use; ten conversations opened from their own network; one partnership launched (co-hosted webinar, newsletter exchange or a new teacher confirmed); weekly report running.
First 60 days: three or more webinars run; three organisational partnerships live; partner kit in use by every announced teacher; two new teachers confirmed from their own network.
First 90 days: five or more courses announced with their involvement; 500+ people collected into webinar registrations and the email list; first enrolments on every announced course; a written view of which partnerships bring enrolments and which do not, feeding the 2027 plan.
Perks & Format: Why join us
Flexible Format:
Competitive compensation and potential fractional arrangements (3 days/week) available pro rata.
Performance Component & Equity Path:
Performance bonus tied to partnership-driven enrolments is possible, plus a clear path to leadership, partnership in the project, and equity.
Impact & Growth:
Opportunity to build a first-of-its-kind shared infrastructure for psychedelic education in Europe alongside a venture-backed startup ecosystem.
Flexible Remote Work:
Fully remote environment across Europe with high autonomy.
Compensation: TBD
Location: London, United Kingdom

OUR ETHOS
We believe in an open and flat structure. You will be able to grow into the role that most aligns with your goals. Our team members at all levels have the freedom to explore ideas and impact the roadmap and vision of our company.
ABOUT THE TEAM
We are hiring a VP of Engineering to own the craft, quality, and technical direction of our roughly 50-person engineering organization as we enter our next stage of growth. We expect to approximately double the size of the team, and we’re looking for a leader who has successfully scaled a high-performing engineering organization while maintaining an exceptionally high technical bar.
This isn’t a role focused on adding headcount for the sake of growth. We want someone who can thoughtfully scale the team, strengthen the systems that move real money, and make our engineers significantly more effective as the organization grows. This leader should be deeply technical and genuinely engaged in the code, architecture, and engineering decisions—not operating adjacent to them.
You will lead through a mix of direct reports and a small group of engineering managers and tech leads, partnering closely with Product, Risk, and Compliance. You will spend your time on design reviews, incident retros, hiring, and the handful of technical bets that determine whether we can support the next order of magnitude of transaction volume.
If your ideal week is entirely calendar blocks and roadmap decks, this is not the right role. If your ideal week includes a hard design debate, a code review that changes someone's mind, and a coaching conversation that raises a manager's ceiling, keep reading.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Own engineering strategy and architecture across card issuing, wallets, ledger, money movement, onchain settlement, and integrations with card networks and banking partners — including the multi-year technical roadmap that gets us there.
- Set and own Rain's engineering quality bar across system design, code review, testing, observability, documentation, and technical decision-making, ensuring correctness is treated as critical for systems that move customer funds.
- Go deep where the risk is. You won't own day-to-day code, but you will review critical designs, weigh in on the highest-consequence architecture and build-vs.-buy decisions, and be technical enough that no one can hand you a bad design and have it pass.
- Drive reliability, scalability, and operational excellence by establishing SLOs, improving incident response, capacity planning for 10x growth, and designing resilient systems with graceful degradation, idempotency, and replay capabilities.
- Build security, compliance, and correctness into the platform by design, partnering closely with Risk, Compliance, and Security to meet PCI, SOC 2, fraud-control, regulatory, and blockchain infrastructure requirements.
- Increase engineering velocity without sacrificing quality through improvements to CI/CD, developer tooling, local environments, technical debt management, and architecture that enables teams to ship safely and independently.
- Build and develop a high-performing engineering organization by hiring and coaching engineering managers and technical leads, establishing clear team ownership and boundaries, and owning headcount planning and the performance bar.
- Operate as a member of the leadership team — translating company strategy into technical plans, partnering across Product, Design, Risk, Compliance, and GTM, and representing engineering to the board, banking and network partners, and customers.
YOU ARE LIKELY TO SUCCEED IF YOU HAVE:
- 15+ years building production software, including 8+ years leading engineers and meaningful time leading managers.
- Current technical credibility. You have written or reviewed meaningful production code recently enough that an architecture review is a place you add value, not a place you nod along.
- Deep experience with distributed backend systems at scale: data modeling, consistency and idempotency, queues and event-driven design, and the operational reality of running all of it.
- A track record of raising an engineering bar. You can point to specific practices you introduced and the measurable change in quality, velocity, or reliability that followed.
- Real reliability ownership — you have carried a pager, run incident command during a serious outage, and built the follow-through that kept it from recurring.
- Experience in payments, fintech, banking infrastructure, or another domain where money, ledgers, or regulatory obligations made correctness non-negotiable.
- You have hired and developed engineering managers, not only engineers. There are leaders you grew who would come work for you again.
- Clear written communication. You can make a complex technical tradeoff legible to a CEO, a compliance officer, and a partner's engineering team in the same week.
- Executive range. You are as comfortable in a board or partner conversation as you are in a design review, and you can hold a technical position under commercial pressure.
- Comfort with ambiguity and speed. You would rather ship something correct this quarter than design something perfect for next year.
BONUS ATTRIBUTES:
- Hands-on experience with card issuing, processing, or the Visa and Mastercard network stack.
- Working knowledge of stablecoins, onchain settlement, custody and key management, or EVM and Solana infrastructure.
- Experience operating under SOC 2, PCI DSS, or bank and program-manager oversight.
- Experience leading distributed or multi-region teams.
