About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the Role:
The Encodings Infra team maintains the libraries that engineers and researchers across Anthropic use to encode text and multimodal data into a form that Claude can consume. It also determines Claude’s prompt shape: how a user’s turn is represented to the model, how Claude calls tools and receives tool results, and so on.
As a Software Engineer on this team, you'll own the design and maintenance of these libraries—keeping their APIs intuitive, their performance sharp, and their abstractions solid enough that most of the org never has to think about encodings or prompt structures at all. You’ll have the satisfaction of knowing that your work enabled Claude to learn new ways of understanding the world.
This role is unusually broad: your work will touch systems across the codebase, from pretraining to finetuning to the API, and you'll collaborate closely with both researchers and engineers to make sure new encoding ideas can move quickly from experiment to production.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and improve the encoding libraries used by engineers and researchers across Anthropic
Run experiments to determine the optimal way to feed structured data into Claude without confusing it
Design data structures and abstractions that shield most of the organization from the details of how encoded data works while enabling “power users”
Adapt the encoding libraries to support new research directions as they emerge, and make sure that we can ship these research ideas to production
Optimize encoding performance across the systems that depend on these libraries
You may be a good fit if you:
Have 5+ years of software engineering experience, with meaningful time spent maintaining libraries, SDKs, or developer-facing APIs
Have familiarity with ML terminology and LLM architecture — you don't need to be an ML expert, but enough understanding to work effectively alongside researchers and understand the results of experiments
Have experience carrying out complex refactors in large codebases
Have strong communication skills and enjoy working closely with researchers and engineers to understand what they need
Are results-oriented, with a bias towards flexibility and impact
Pick up slack, even if it goes outside your job description
Care about the societal impacts of your work
Strong candidates may also have experience with:
Tokenizers or other text/data encoding systems
Maintaining a widely-used library over a long period of time
Performance optimization
Python and/or Rust
Reinforcement learning or model training infrastructure
Representative projects:
Working with a research team to ship a new multimodal data type (audio, video, etc) to production
Redesigning a core abstraction so that we can change how data is encoded into Claude without breaking downstream teams
The annual compensation range for this role is listed below.
For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.
Annual Salary:
$320,000
—
$405,000 USD
Logistics
Minimum education:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
Required field of study:
A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
Minimum years of experience:
Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position
Location-based hybrid policy:
Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
Visa sponsorship:
We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification.
Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.
Your safety matters to us.
To protect yourself from potential scams, remember that Anthropic recruiters only contact you from @anthropic.com email addresses. In some cases, we may partner with vetted recruiting agencies who will identify themselves as working on behalf of Anthropic. Be cautious of emails from other domains. Legitimate Anthropic recruiters will never ask for money, fees, or banking information before your first day. If you're ever unsure about a communication, don't click any links—visit

directly for confirmed position openings.
How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

What We Do:
Cybercrime is growing, and more businesses are getting hit by threats that used to target only the biggest organizations. That pushes defenders like us to operate at the highest level, and it deepens our need for good people who want to make a meaningful impact.
Founded in 2015 by former NSA cyber operators, Huntress is a remote-first team working to make enterprise-grade cybersecurity accessible to businesses of all sizes. We work closely with security teams and service providers protecting complex environments, often without the time or headcount to handle it all. That’s why we build our technology in-house and back it with a 24/7 human-led Security Operations Center (SOC). As a result, our platform is never disconnected from the experts who manage it, ensuring our customers' protection.
Huntress now secures more than 6M endpoints and 16M identities worldwide. Those numbers keep growing because more businesses rely on us to help carry the load and operate with more confidence. Every day, you can see that commitment in how we stand with our customers and how we show up for each other.
Reports to:
Director of Product Security and Incident Response
Location:
Remote US
Compensation Range:
$200,000.00 to $210,000.00 plus bonus and equity
What You’ll Do:
As a Staff CSIRT Analyst, you will be the cornerstone of Huntress’ internal security resilience. You will act as the primary internal escalation point from our SOC, ensuring we protect ourselves with the same rigor and products we use for our customers. In this role, you will strategize with leaders across multiple functions to identify work streams and own the end-to-end incident response lifecycle. You will guide teams, determine key milestones, and proactively anticipate blockers that could hinder our response capabilities.
Responsibilities:
Incident Response & Triage:
Lead the identification, triage, and validation of security incidents through various telemetry sources, acting as the ultimate escalation point for the SOC.
Strategic Preparedness:
Drive organizational incident readiness by designing and executing practical response exercises (tabletops and purple teaming) to ensure first responders are prepared at all levels of our organization.
Telemetry Optimization:
Partner with engineering, product security, and detection engineering teams to tune existing telemetry sources to a high true-positive rate, reducing noise and increasing detection efficacy.
Offensive Security Partnership:
Collaborate closely with the Offensive Security team to identify visibility gaps and ensure proper coverage against modern threat actor TTPs. Partner with product security, engineering, detection engineering, and other applicable business units to close these gaps rather than treating them as a blocker.
Continuous Improvement & Leadership
: Lead cross-functional Post-Incident Reviews (PIRs) to extract critical lessons learned; own the lifecycle of resulting remediation tasks, driving specific tooling and process enhancements that harden organizational defenses and response against future threats.
Stakeholder Communication:
Develop and present comprehensive reports and "lessons learned" to stakeholders at all levels following major incidents or exercises.
Documentation:
Create and maintain playbooks, system configurations, and incident response standards to ensure scalability and supportability.
What You Bring To The Team:
Experience:
8+ years of experience in Incident Response, SOC Operations, or Digital Forensics (DFIR).
Technical Expertise:
Advanced knowledge of EDR/MDR platforms, log aggregation (SIEM/ELK), and cloud security environments (AWS/Azure/M365).
Problem Solving:
Proven ability to articulate the root cause of complex problems using first principles and translate insights into technical solutions.
Strategic Thinking:
Experience leading small project teams and aligning tech stacks across functions.
Communication:
Exceptional ability to convey complex technical incident details to both technical teams and executive leadership.
Tooling:
Familiarity with automation/SOAR platforms and documentation tools like Confluence, Jira, and Lucid Chart.
Mindset:
A proactive, forward-thinking approach to security with a passion for building "stewardship of culture" through inclusive and actionable security behaviors.

ABOUT US:
AI NEEDS A NEW INFRASTRUCTURE LAYER. WE'RE BUILDING IT AT MODAL.
Every era of computing brought new workloads that previous infrastructure couldn't support: mainframes, databases, and the cloud. Each time, the company that rebuilt the layer underneath defined the decade. AI is no different, except it touches everything instead of one slice, and the window to build the layer underneath it is open right now.
Our customers include category-defining companies like Ramp https://modal.com/blog/how-ramp-built-a-full-context-background-coding-agent-on-modal, Cognition, DoorDash, and Suno. They rely on Modal for instant GPU access, sub-second container starts, and native storage, so it's simple to serve low-latency inference, fine-tune models, and access production-ready sandboxes at scale.
We've passed $1B in annualized run rate, up 15x from a year ago. In October 2026 we raised a $750M Series D led by Accel at a $15.75B valuation.
Our team includes creators of popular open-source projects (e.g.,Seaborn https://github.com/mwaskom/seaborn,Luigi https://github.com/spotify/luigi), academic researchers, international olympiad medalists, and experienced engineering and product leaders with decades of experience.
THE ROLE:
Modal's LLM inference platform delivers frontier performance https://modal.com/blog/kimi-k3-by-moonshot-now-available-on-modal for open-source models with best-in-class elasticity and developer experience, made in part possible by our custom runtime with GPU memory snapshots https://modal.com/blog/gpu-mem-snapshots and multi-cloud substrate https://modal.com/blog/resource-solver.
We're looking for a leader to own the direction and execution of this platform to continue to establish us as the clear market leader, working closely with customers like Cognition, Doordash, Ramp, and many more. You'll be leading a group of highly talented engineers working on our market-leading LLM inference offering, spanning the serving stack, routing infrastructure, internal agentic optimization platform, and the user-facing product surface area.
This is a hands-on leadership role — expect to split your time between technical contribution, product shaping and people management depending on what the team needs. You'll set direction, remove blockers, and build a strong engineering culture as your team tackles hard problems in distributed computing, frontier inference serving, and performance optimization.
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON:
Team
- Recruit, hire, and grow a high-performing team of engineers; run regular 1:1s focused on coaching, feedback, and career growth
- Set clear performance expectations, hold a high bar, and build an environment where engineers do their best work
- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, customer obsession, and continuous improvement
Technical and Product Direction
- Drive technical and product decisions through design reviews, code reviews, and architectural discussions
- Lead our efforts working with customers with novel or frontier workloads so they can be successful running on Modal
- Translate learnings from frontier customers into a roadmap for our internal optimization platform and user-facing product, so that gains from optimization and research efforts are accessible to all of our users
- Establish standards for reliability and product excellence; ensure the team owns projects end-to-end, from spec through production
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with business operations and compute strategy on continuing to develop our strategy for compute purchases across a variety of accelerators
- Collaborate with GTM on product launches, positioning, and improving win rates for inference opportunities
- Help guide the roadmap for teams building the infrastructure platform underlying inference, as well as adjacent product teams
YOU MAY BE A FIT IF:
- You have 10+ years of industry experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role
- You have a track record of building high-performance systems at scale
- You have a strong background in cloud infrastructure
- You have deep knowledge of low-level OS foundations (Linux kernel, file systems, containers, etc.)
NICE-TO-HAVE:
- Experience working with LLM inference in production
- Familiarity with underlying concepts like engines, kernels, routing, KV cache management, and speculative decoding

ABOUT MOTHERDUCK
Don’t let the quirky name fool you: At MotherDuck, we’re on a mission to make data warehousing fun, frictionless, and ducking awesome for developers and data practitioners building blazing fast internal and customer-facing analytics experiences. We're building a cloud-hosted version of DuckDB, working hand-in-hand with the creators of the fastest-growing and fastest-improving query engine on the planet. Unlike other databases, MotherDuck was architected to unify local development with cloud operations to bridge the gap between software and data engineering workflows. Our team is a mix of thoughtful, passionate, and empathetic data industry veterans.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Database team is the bridge between DuckDB and the cloud. We own the core server and client extension logic that lets DuckDB run seamlessly, whether it's local or in the cloud, and we work in C++ right alongside the DuckDB codebase itself. Our mission is to push the boundaries of embedded database performance, distributed execution, and user experience, all while staying closely connected to DuckDB Labs (the team behind DuckDB) to align on APIs and shape what's next.
Day to day, we drive major projects in dual execution, resource assignment, and system reliability, while also handling incoming issues and lending our DuckDB expertise to other teams. We collaborate closely across MotherDuck and with the wider DuckDB community, making sure people get the best of both local and cloud worlds. It's a small, high-agency team with big ambitions... the kind of place where engineers own impactful projects, share what they learn, and help shape how modern analytics gets built.
This role is ideally based in Amsterdam or Berlin, but we are also open to great candidates remotely in Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own major projects in our dual execution stack, so DuckDB can process queries seamlessly whether they're running locally or in the cloud.
- Help build a cloud platform that dynamically assigns resources, so DuckDB stays efficient whether someone's running a tiny workload or pushing our biggest, highest-memory instances.
- Lead cross-functional work with our frontend, platform, and infrastructure teams to keep the user experience coherent end to end.
- Push the state of the art in embedded database performance, distributed execution, and DuckDB internals.
- Deepen your DuckDB expertise and share it with the rest of the company through mentorship and documentation.
- Work directly with our support team to debug issues, learn from real usage patterns, and prioritize the improvements that matter most.
- Improve systems holistically... spotting architectural challenges early and clearing bottlenecks before they become problems.
- Mentor teammates and help raise the bar for engineering practices across the team.
- Work closely with DuckDB Labs (which grew out of the Database Architectures group at CWI, where vectorized execution and DuckDB were born) to help align on APIs and shape where DuckDB goes next.
WHAT YOU BRING
- You've built and shipped complex backend systems, and you know what great looks like.
- You're fluent in a backend language like C++, Rust, Java, or similar systems languages, and you're comfortable working close to the metal. (C++ and Rust are the biggest plus here, and we love a great Java engineer too.)
- A good foundation in query engines, execution plans, indexing, and performance optimization techniques.
- Hands-on experience with DuckDB is a huge plus, no matter what level you're coming in at.
- You've worked with cloud infrastructure, networking, and building low-latency distributed systems.
- You can scope and lead projects that span multiple collaborators and cross-functional dependencies.
- You take pride in clear thinking, careful design, and thoughtful tradeoffs.
- You're comfortable mentoring peers and helping build a collaborative, high-agency environment.
- You enjoy engaging with the wider community, whether that's open-source conversations or working directly with DuckDB Labs.
WHAT WE PROVIDE
- The opportunity to participate and contribute to DuckDB, one of most popular modern open source analytical databases.
- Competitive salary and stock options so you have a stake in our flock’s success.
- Flexible time off – take the time you need to recharge, explore, or just have a lazy day by the pond.
- A good pension plan
- Legendary company events – we bring the whole flock together once a year for unforgettable team gatherings a year to keep our bonds strong.
- Hybrid work environment – Spend three days a week in the office collaborating with the flock, and work from wherever you’re most productive the rest of the time—whether that’s your home office, a coffee shop, or a peaceful lakeside retreat. We have to warn you though, most of us like the office so much we come anyway. It’s on the river Ij, with a great lunch every day.
PLEASE APPLY
Does this role sound appealing to you, but you’re missing some of the requirements or don’t quite think you’re qualified? Please apply anyway. Research has shown that underrepresented groups in technology often shy away from roles which aren’t a 100% match. We aim to build a diverse team and will strongly consider applicants who bring many of the requirements plus have other experiences which round out their qualifications.
MotherDuck is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer. We do not discriminate based on race, religion, color, national origin, gender (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions), sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, status as a protected veteran, status as an individual with a disability, or other applicable legally protected characteristics. We build production AI systems for enterprises. Financial services, healthcare companies, PE-backed operators. We are a Select-tier partner in Anthropic's Claude Partner Network, among the first integrators selected.
Every one of those systems has two stories. What we built, and why it changed the economics of the business that bought it. Most technical marketing tells the first and bores the buyer.
We want one person who can tell both, and build things themselves. Not a marketer who uses AI tools. Not an engineer who writes copy. Someone who moves between the two without noticing the border.
What you will do:
Tell both halves of the story. Sit close to the teams shipping these systems, understand what was actually hard, and translate it into video, writing, and demos that travel. Then go a level up: what the system changed for the operator, what it cost, what it replaced, why the CFO signed.
Shape how Provectus is positioned. Not just the case studies but the argument above them. What we stand for, which problems we claim, where we say no. You will have a real hand in that, not a style guide to follow.
Build the tools that make the marketing work. A scraper that watches what our market is saying. An agent that drafts case studies from delivery artifacts. A microsite for a launch. A dashboard showing which stories moved pipeline. You write the code. You do not file a ticket and wait.
Own channels outright. Write, publish, and measure across LinkedIn, YouTube, X, and whatever channel matters six months from now that does not matter today.
Run experiments and kill the ones that lose. Real budget, real autonomy, in exchange for showing your numbers.
What we are looking for:
You have shipped things people used. A side project, a channel with an audience, a tool, a launch. We care more about what you made than where you worked.
You write well, and you have a point of view. You can hold attention for 90 seconds on video and 900 words on a page.
You are curious about how companies make money. You can read a business case and find the part that actually matters. You can sit with a CFO or a PE operator and not reach for features.
You code. Python or TypeScript, comfortably. You use Claude Code, Cursor, or equivalent every day and you have opinions about them. You have built something agentic that does actual work.
You are interested in AI for real. You read the papers, or the people who read the papers, and you have changed your mind about something in the last six months.
You are anywhere from your first job to your tenth year. Three levels, one bar: what have you made. If you are early, show us an internship where the bar was high and a portfolio with range. If you are senior, tell us what you built with your own hands in the last 90 days.
You are in New York or San Francisco, or you will be.
What we offer:
Base salary of $80,000 to $180,000 depending on level and location, plus a performance bonus.
Direct access to the people building the systems and the executives selling them. Small team, no layers between you and the work.
A budget for tools, models, and experiments, with no approval chain under a threshold.
Promotion tied to output, not tenure.
401(k) profit sharing plan after probation period
Unlimited PTO policy
Medical, Visual and Dental insurance
How to apply:
No cover letter. Send three links: something you wrote, something you built, and something you posted that got a reaction. One paragraph on why the third one worked.
Then, two sentences on a company whose positioning you think is wrong and what you would change.
Base salary depends on level and location, plus a performance bonus.
