About WorkOS 🚀
WorkOS builds modern developer tools and APIs that make it easy for companies to become Enterprise Ready. Our platform powers authentication, identity, authorization, and other critical infrastructure that developers need to securely scale their products to large organizations.
We recently raised a $100M Series C, valuing the company at $2B, led by Meritech and Sapphire with participation from Greenoaks, Craft, Abstract, and Audacious. WorkOS powers enterprise features for many of the fastest-growing AI companies, including OpenAI, Cursor, and Perplexity, Sierra, and Plaid.
As AI reshapes software, WorkOS is at the frontier of Human and Agent Authentication, Identity, and Access Control helping companies answer a new critical question: who are your agents, and what are they allowed to do? Our fast-growing customer base includes hundreds of modern software companies building the next generation of enterprise-ready products.
About the role 💭
We’re looking for a commercially minded, AI-native BDR who enjoys understanding what technical teams are building and finding thoughtful ways to start conversations with them. You’ll combine account research, AI-assisted prospecting and engagement with the startup community to create qualified opportunities for our sales team. This is a hands-on outbound role: researching accounts, reaching out, following up and qualifying prospects are central to the job.
Responsibilities ✔️
- Creative Outbound Prospecting: Generate new leads through targeted outbound activities, including cold calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, events and other channels. We are looking for resourcefulness and innovation crafting new outbound strategies.
- AI-Powered Workflows: Build and improve lightweight AI-assisted workflows for account research, identifying relevant buying signals and preparing outreach. Validate sources, review messages before sending and use results to refine your approach. The goal is more relevant conversations and qualified opportunities, not automation or message volume for its own sake.
- Account Research: Research and identify key prospects, decision-makers, and stakeholders within target accounts to tailor your outreach efforts. Understand what a company is actually building — their stack, their auth setup, their scaling problems.
- Lead Qualification: Engage with prospects to understand their pain points, business needs, and how WorkOS can help solve their challenges, qualifying them for the sales team.
- Pipeline Development: Set up high-quality meetings and demos for Account Executives by nurturing leads through the sales funnel.
- CRM Hygiene: Diligently log all prospecting activities, conversations, and pipeline data in Salesforce (or other CRM systems) to maintain accurate records and forecast pipeline health.
- Metrics-Driven: Meet and exceed monthly quotas for outbound activities, including the number of meetings set, emails sent, calls made, and qualified opportunities created.
- Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, WorkOS product developments, competitor offerings, and what's changing in AI and developer tooling — so you can position yourself as a trusted advisor to technical buyers.
Qualifications 🌟
- Experience: You have experience creating opportunities for a product, business or community. That could come from sales development, growth, partnerships, community building, a startup or your own project. A BDR title isn’t required, but you should be able to explain how you identified an audience, earned their attention, followed up and turned interest into a meaningful next step.
- Target Personas: Experience outbounding to cofounders and CTOs.
- AI-Native: You have personally built or materially improved an AI-assisted workflow and used it in practice. You can explain the problem, how the workflow works, what you contributed and how you checked its output. You know where automation helps and where human judgment is essential, and can describe what improved or what you changed when it failed.
- Community Engagement: You actively engage with startup or technical communities and can share how you have contributed, learned from others or built useful relationships. This might happen through your work, online discussions, events, customer communities or a project. We value curiosity, consistent contribution and thoughtful follow-through, not the size of your network or who you know.
- Writing Skills: Able to independently craft messages and campaigns to technical leaders. You use AI to draft and scale, but you have the judgment to know when the output isn't good enough to send.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft personalized messages that resonate with different audiences.
- Technical Aptitude: Comfort with understanding technical products and effectively communicating the value of WorkOS to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Bonus if you can read API docs, poke at a codebase, or have shipped something yourself.
- Tools: Experience with a modern sales stack and AI tools. Examples include Salesforce, Gong, Loom, Outreach, Claude, ChatGPT and Clay; experience with these specific tools is not required.
- Curiosity & Adaptability: Willingness to learn, adapt quickly to new strategies, and stay curious about the industry and your prospects' needs.
- Self-Starter: Highly motivated, self-sufficient, and able to manage your time effectively.
- You are located in the greater San Francisco Bay Area, able to work locally, available for in-person meetings with clients and customers, and able to attend in-person events as needed.

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

About Vercel:
Vercel is the agentic infrastructure company, freeing people and agents to ship what's next. For more than a decade we've helped builders move from idea to production with speed, security, and exceptional developer experience.
Now we're scaling our products for both agents and people to ship and run software, built in the open and trusted by OpenAI, PayPal, Ramp, Supreme, and millions of developers worldwide.
About Startups @ Vercel
The Vercel Startups org exists to help founders navigate the shift to AI-native development with confidence. Startups move faster than ever—what used to take years now happens in days—and the decisions founders make early can either unlock scale or become long-term constraints. We partner with startups at the critical moments where technical, commercial, and strategic support starts to matter most.
We’re a talent-dense team made up of former founders, engineers, and experienced go-to-market operators who bring firsthand experience building, scaling, and supporting modern software companies. Many of us have sat on the other side of the table, making architectural decisions, navigating tradeoffs, and scaling under real constraints, and we bring that perspective into every customer interaction.
We operate with a growth mindset and strong shared ownership. We dig deep to understand our customers, work closely across functions as one team, and find ways to win even when the path forward isn’t obvious. Resilience, curiosity, and a willingness to push through hard problems are table stakes here.
This is a team for people who want to operate with high trust, high agency, and high impact — alongside peers who care deeply about helping startups succeed.
About the role
You are an expert in Vercel, you have incredible pattern recognition, and are at the bleeding edge of the tech and tools defining how we live and work. In this role, you'll help startups unlock Vercel's full value from adoption through scaling—building relationships with founders and technical leaders who are making critical architectural decisions. You'll analyze usage patterns to identify expansion opportunities, coordinate cross-functional teams to drive outcomes, and guide teams as they adopt AI-native architectures. By leveraging automation and AI to maximize your impact, you'll help refine early plays into repeatable playbooks that scale across our startup portfolio.
If you’re based within commuting distance of our London office, the role includes in-office anchor days.
What you'll do
Build trusted relationships with founders, developers, and technical leaders by quickly developing deep understanding of their architecture, use cases, and technical constraints
Landing new logos, driving early activation, and making Vercel the default choice before competitors get in
Driving first activation, earning trust fast, and positioning Vercel as the obvious default stack
Focus on pipeline generation, outbound, identifying high-potential startups early
Partner with founders and developers as they adopt AI-native features and architectures, helping them understand how Vercel’s Frontend Cloud fits into a rapidly evolving developer ecosystem and supports new workloads, performance requirements, and scaling patterns
Use automation, agents, and self-built workflows to operate at high leverage and focus time and energy on the most impactful customer work
Operate comfortably in an evolving environment, helping refine early motions and turn what works into repeatable playbooks
What you need
We’re looking for someone who sits at the intersection of technical curiosity, commercial excellence, and startup mindset. You identify pattern recognition, have founder empathy, and have the ability to speak credibly to pre-seed through Series D companies and beyond who are making fast decisions.
You might be a great fit if you’ve developed this skill set through a range of paths—whether as a builder, founder, engineer, or in a technical go-to-market role—and you bring strong judgment, ownership, and curiosity to how you work.
In practice, this looks like someone who:
Learns complex technical products quickly and enjoys reasoning about how modern web and AI-native applications are built and scaled
Can speak comfortably with developers and founders, using their language and earning credibility through insight rather than titles
Has strong sales acumen and experience owning revenue outcomes across a range of deal sizes and complexities
Believes that the best revenue outcomes come from deeply successful customers, not transactional selling
Brings a thoughtful, opinionated point of view on modern web infrastructure, frontend performance, and scaling tradeoffs
Thrives in ambiguity and enjoys shaping how a team and motion evolves from early to more structured
Is energized by ownership, accountability, and helping customers make smart decisions
What This Role Is Not
Not a pure Customer Success role focused on reactive support
Not a transactional sales role detached from customer outcomes
Not a highly scripted role with narrow ownership or predefined motions
This role requires judgment, curiosity, and comfort operating across technical, strategic, and commercial dimensions.
Benefits:
Competitive compensation package, including equity.
Inclusive Healthcare Package.
Learn and Grow - we provide mentorship and send you to events that help you build your network and skills.
Flexible Time Off.
We will provide you the gear you need to do your role, and a WFH budget for you to outfit your space as needed.
