Location: London, United Kingdom - Deliveroo
Our Global Structure
Deliveroo is now part of DoorDash, bringing together teams with even greater reach, scale, and ambition. Depending on your role, you may collaborate with teammates, systems, and leaders across DoorDash and Wolt. Together, we’re unlocking new possibilities as one global team.
About the role
Hybrid (3 days per week in the London office required)
Individual contributor role
A key part of the role is turning insight into action. You will translate analysis into clear, proportionate policies and operational responses that protect platform integrity and customer outcomes, while remaining practical to implement and appropriate for the markets in which we operate. You will work closely with Legal, Public Policy, Product, Data Science and Operations to navigate complex legal and regulatory considerations and ensure our approach is effective, fair and robust.
Core responsibilities
Lead a programme of work to identify, assess and prioritise courier/rider fraud and abuse risks across Wolt and Deliveroo.
Translate identified risks into proportionate policy, process and operational responses, balancing risk reduction with customer outcomes, courier/rider experience and business practicality.
Lead the implementation, monitoring and ongoing refinement of fraud and abuse policies, with clear measures of effectiveness and residual risk.
Ensure policy approaches are developed with appropriate consideration of legal, regulatory, compliance and reputational implications.
What you’ll be doing
Build a deep understanding of our courier/rider operating models, incentive structures and end-to-end journeys to identify where fraud or abuse risk may arise, using data, operational knowledge and structured, hypothesis-led analysis.
Develop analytical approaches and key metrics to identify patterns, quantify impact, assess detection signals and measure the effectiveness of policy interventions over time.
Define new policies, or revise existing ones, in response to identified risks that may negatively affect customers, couriers/riders, the platform or the wider business.
Conduct impact and risk assessments, framing clear options and recommendations that consider effectiveness, operational feasibility, cost, legal and regulatory requirements, and potential unintended consequences.
Partner closely with Legal, Public Policy, Product, Data Science, Trust and Operations teams to shape business requirements, implement agreed responses and resolve complex trade-offs.
Establish effective ways of working across Wolt and Deliveroo so that emerging trends, priority risks and lessons from policy performance are identified early and shared with relevant stakeholders.
Lead cross-functional delivery from problem identification through to implementation, reporting and post-launch monitoring, adapting the approach as new evidence emerges.
What we’re looking for
6+ years’ experience in fraud, risk, compliance, policy, operations, consulting or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to combine data, operational context and judgement to identify root causes and prioritise action.
Experience translating complex or ambiguous risk issues into practical policies, recommendations and implementation plans.
Experience navigating complex legal and regulatory landscapes and working constructively with Legal and Public Policy stakeholders.
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, including the ability to influence senior and cross-functional stakeholders and challenge constructively when needed.
Strong project-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, prioritise effectively and drive delivery in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable using AI-enabled tools appropriately to support analysis, hypothesis generation and problem solving.

In 2022 we joined forces with DoorDash and together we keep on dreaming big and expanding across the globe.

About the Team
We are looking for an experienced Manager, Tax Technology to lead tax platform projects for Wolt and Deliveroo within our growing Tax Team. As Wolt and Deliveroo onboard onto the global unified tax platform and a single tax calculation engine (Vertex), this role owns the functional tax leadership that turns business and VAT requirements into configured, tested, live capabilities, and leads the offshore Wolt & Deliveroo implementation team delivering that work day to day. As DoorDash continues to grow its international footprint, we are looking for a candidate with deep, hands-on experience in VAT regimes who can lead a team, collaborate cross-functionally, and own the delivery of tax features and new-platform feature / new-market / new-partnership launches across Wolt and Deliveroo.
About the Role
You will report to the Senior Manager of the Tax Calculation Platform & Mx Operations and lead tax platform and business projects for Wolt and Deliveroo. You will manage a team to deliver day-to-day VAT configuration and testing, and partner closely with Tax Engineering, the Wolt and Deliveroo Tax teams, Tax Product, and other stakeholders — gathering business and VAT requirements, translating them into tax-system functional requirements for configuration and testing, and reviewing Technical Design Documents (TDDs) to provide functional tax expertise back to Tax Engineering.
The primary focus of this position is end-to-end delivery of VAT tax solutions across the Wolt and Deliveroo platforms — new product, market, partnership launches and legislative changes, roadmap alignment with Wolt and Deliveroo's international expansion, and day-to-day leadership of the team executing that delivery — with an understanding of how data flows from upstream systems through the tax engine to downstream reporting. Rather than handing off requirements to the Vertex Center of Excellence team, you will apply your own Vertex knowledge to help influence the functional design and determine the specific Vertex configuration a solution requires. Familiarity with US sales and use tax, food and beverage, and retail tax context is valuable for alignment with the broader platform.
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…
Lead tax platform and business projects across the Wolt and Deliveroo platforms, including new product, market, partnership launches, and legislative changes.
Gather business and VAT requirements and translate them into tax-system functional requirements for configuration, testing and delivery.
Review BRDs, PRDs, and TDDs for VAT tax-system implications and provide functional tax expertise back to Tax Engineering.
Define testing requirements and oversee validations across unit, integration, E2E, shadow, and post-launch phases.
Align tax engine priorities and the integrated delivery plan with the Wolt and Deliveroo international market roadmaps, and represent tax platform status updates to Tax and Engineering leadership.
Trace VAT-relevant data from upstream systems through Vertex to downstream reporting and compliance.
Serve as the senior functional tax leader for Wolt and Deliveroo, escalating risk and driving cross-functional alignment across Tax, Product, Engineering, and Data.
Manage and develop a team supporting this area, allocating workload, establishing QA checkpoints, and providing structured knowledge transfer on complex processes.
We’re excited about you because…
You have 8+ years of indirect tax or indirect tax technology experience, with several years working directly in VAT regimes.
You are familiar with VAT tax requirements and can translate them into system requirements.
Hands-on experience implementing or configuring Vertex O Series, and ability to review Vertex configurations and testing documentation and provide feedback.
Hand-on experience implementing or configuring ERP tax integration (e.g. Netsuite) with Vertex tax engine.
Experience with multi-country VAT implementations and EU VAT compliance; familiarity with non-US indirect tax regimes more broadly is a plus.
Demonstrated people-leadership experience, including managing, coaching, workload delegation, and quality oversight.
You can review technical design documents and provide functional tax expertise to engineering and product.
You have familiarity with US sales and use tax, food and beverage, and retail tax context.
You understand how tax data flows from upstream transaction systems through a tax engine to downstream reporting, including both in-house systems or ERP system integration flows.
Program or project management experience across dependent teams, including building plans, milestones, and dependency maps, and driving them to completion.
Comfort operating cross-functionally and building trust with partner teams without always holding formal authority over their roadmaps.
Experience in use of SQL or Snowflake for data self-serve, issue investigation or testing validation.
Experience in use of API testing tools like Postman, SOAP UI and ability to read XML and JSON logs.
Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or Computer Science degree.
You are fluent in leveraging multiple AI tools on the market (e.g., Claude Cowork, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor) on a daily basis across all of your assigned tasks, and you actively look for creative ways to apply them to enhance processes and create efficiency gains.
Nice to Haves
Familiarity with Marketplace Facilitator laws.
Experience managing offshore teams across time zones.
Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion
We’re committed to growing and empowering a more inclusive community within our company, industry, and cities. That’s why we hire and cultivate diverse teams of people from all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. We believe that true innovation happens when everyone has room at the table and the tools, resources, and opportunity to excel.

About the Team
Cx App Foundations is a platform organisation within our global Cx organisation. It provides shared consumer foundations and platform capabilities used by engineering teams across Wolt, DoorDash, and Deliveroo. Within this organisation, the Velocity team owns the paved road for consumer app development across mobile and web: shared SDKs and client foundations, integration patterns and multi-brand customisation, migration playbooks and reference implementations, and developer tooling that makes building on shared foundations fast and safe. Our mission is to reduce the cost, time, and risk of building consumer experiences across platforms and brands. Product teams own customer-facing experiences; our job is to make sure they can spend their time on delivering delightful experiences. The team is AI-native: AI is a default part of how we design, build, and ship software.
About the Role
As the Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of experienced engineers across mobile and web, collaborating closely with product teams, design, and adjacent platform organisations across three brands. Your primary responsibility will be owning the team's roadmap and delivery of shared client foundations, and driving their adoption across the organisation, so that product teams ship delightful customer experiences without rebuilding the foundations under them. You will be a key player in keeping the team's operating model healthy: clear intake from stakeholders, predictable delivery, and support expectations that keep the platform from drifting into a general escalation queue. You will also guide architectural and system design decisions with your tech leads. You will stay hands-on: contributing code, reviews, and prototypes alongside the team is part of the job. This role is ideal for a leader who has run platforms, SDKs, or shared services for other engineering teams, communicates clearly across brands and time zones, and wants their impact measured through what other teams achieve with the foundations you ship.
You're excited about this opportunity because you will…
Own the platform roadmap - the shared SDKs, client foundations, and developer tooling the team ships - and sequence it against the migration and adoption goals of the three brands
Drive adoption of the shared foundations by partnering with product teams, running onboarding and rollout support, and making the supported path the easiest path
Lead, coach, and grow experienced mobile and web engineers, keeping growth conversations, calibration, and feedback loops running
Keep the team's operating model healthy: clear intake (stakeholder management, shared-platform, product-specific, or exception work), supported capabilities with entry criteria and support expectations, and predictable delivery
Guide architectural and system design decisions for client foundations that three brands and multiple app platforms depend on
Stay hands-on by contributing code and reviews alongside the team, and champion AI-native development practices
Grow the team through hiring
Our humble expectations
You have 3+ years of experience managing engineers, including a team with senior engineers
You have a solid background (5+ years) in mobile or web engineering, with enough technical depth to hold your own in architecture discussions about client foundations
You use AI tooling fluently in your day-to-day work and stay close to the code
You have run a platform, SDK, or shared service that other teams depend on, and know how to treat internal customers as customers
You work across boundaries naturally: product teams, design, other platform organisations, data/analytics and stakeholders in other locations and time zones
You hold a high bar for engineering quality and can navigate production incidents and release tradeoffs with calm structure
You are based in Helsinki, Finland
What we offer
A platform leadership role with real leverage: the foundations the team owns shape how consumer experiences get built across Wolt, DoorDash, and Deliveroo, and your roadmap decisions multiply across every product team that builds on them.
Next steps
The position will be filled as soon as we find the right person, so make sure to apply as soon as you realize you really, really want to join us!
The compensation will be a combination of monthly pay and DoorDash RSUs. The latter makes it exceptionally easy to be excited about our company growing and doing well, as you’ll own a piece of the pie.

That’s why we hire and cultivate diverse teams of people from all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. About VALD
VALD is the world leader in technology for the allied health industry, providing innovative human-measurement technology to over 13,000 clients in over 150 countries. If you have a favourite team in the NBA, EPL, or NFL, there’s a good chance they use VALD Technologies.
Since its humble beginnings in 2015 in Brisbane, Australia, VALD has grown to a team of over 400 people in over 35 countries, with five offices across four continents.
Driven by a multidisciplinary team of researchers, clinicians, sports scientists, designers, developers and engineers, VALD’s suite of systems offers unparalleled insight into human movement, performance, injury risk and rehabilitation.
About the role
The Payroll Manager is responsible for accurate, compliant and timely payroll delivery across VALD’s business, including in Australia, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Europe, and for the employee lifecycle administration that sits alongside it. Reporting to the CFO and working closely with the Finance, Legal and IT teams, the role is VALD’s payroll subject matter expert and the first point of contact for payroll delivery, compliance, systems and providers. Payroll at VALD is a deadline-driven, zero-error function: people get paid the right amount on the right day, statutory obligations are met on time, and the numbers reconcile back to the ledger.
The role is predominantly payroll but it also owns the accurate and timely onboarding and offboarding of team members globally. That work is process driven rather than ad hoc: a defined checklist and workflow for every new starter and every exit, run the same way each time, so nothing depends on memory or goodwill. This means you will be one of the first people who new team members meet, and will be motivated to make people feel welcome.
This is a hands-on role with real ownership rather than purely a processing role. You will run the payroll calendar end to end, maintain the controls that keep VALD audit-ready, and work with the payroll providers and platforms that sit underneath it. Alongside that, you will draft contracts from approved templates, set team members up in the relevant systems on day one, and close them out cleanly when they leave.
VALD is scaling quickly, so this is a chance to help build a global payroll and people-operations function rather than inherit a finished one: you will have input into provider selection, help design the controls and support new countries coming online, working directly with the CFO. The role has one direct report — an experienced payroll team member who already works across VALD’s global employee payroll systems, so you inherit real capability and continuity from day one.
What you will do
Manage end-to-end payroll cycles across all relevant jurisdictions, including inputs, calculations, adjustments, approvals and reconciliations, and resolve payroll queries from employees and managers.
Own payroll compliance in every country: payroll tax, superannuation, pension, social security and PAYG equivalents, regulatory filings, year-end obligations and employer registrations.
Configure and maintain payroll settings, including minimum wage and statutory pay-rate changes, award rates, leave accruals and balances, benefit deductions and employer contributions.
Manage pay, title and incentive changes, workers’ compensation and statutory leave payments, and terminations, severance and final pay, with correct tax treatment.
Maintain payroll controls, records and audit readiness, and escalate compliance risks, suspected underpayments or misapplied entitlements.
Coordinate payroll providers, consultants and platforms, and support payroll setup in new countries and entities, including employer of record (EOR) setup.
Fund and reconcile pay runs across multiple currencies, and support Finance with payroll reporting, cost analysis, accruals and month-end.
Run onboarding and offboarding to a defined workflow and checklist — drafting contracts and variation letters from approved templates, setting team members up in all relevant systems, and closing out access and final entitlements on exit — and keep improving that process.
Lead and mentor your direct report, and document and learn procedures so that you can support/be backup for the payroll and onboarding during leave and peak periods.
About you
You will have 4+ years of experience including:
At least two years running end-to-end payroll cycles and statutory payroll obligations for a multi-jurisdiction employer.
Technical depth in at least one jurisdiction’s statutory payroll framework (for example Australian PAYG, superannuation and award interpretation, or US federal and state withholding and 401(k)), with the ability to learn new jurisdictions rather than relying on a provider to interpret the rules for you.
Experience building or strengthening payroll controls — documented processes, evidenced approvals, reconciliations and audit readiness — and managing payroll providers, consultants or platforms.
Experience administering employee lifecycle processes for a multi-country workforce: onboarding, contract generation from templates, system setup and offboarding.
A process-driven mindset, with experience leading or coaching a payroll team member.
Standing up payroll in a new country or entity, migrating payroll between providers, or a recognised payroll qualification, will be highly regarded.
Meticulous, highly organised and discreet with confidential pay data, with sound judgment on when to escalate.
Excellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to explain a pay slip clearly to an employee who requires guidance.
What success looks like
This role is judged on outcomes, not activity. In the first twelve months, success looks like:
Every pay run in every country lands on the right day for the right amount, with payroll errors and out-of-cycle payments rare and falling each quarter.
Within 90 days, you can explain the end-to-end process, controls and statutory calendar for each country VALD pays in, and you have identified the three most material control or process gaps.
The payroll control environment is documented and evidenced — processes, approvals, reconciliations and retention — so an internal or external audit can be supported without a scramble.
Year-end and statutory obligations are met on time in every country, without rework or late filings.
Providers are managed against service levels rather than chased, and system or process changes are delivered without disrupting a pay run.
Every new starter is contracted, set up in all relevant systems and paid correctly from their first day, and every exit is processed on time with access removed and final entitlements closed out — all evidenced against a standard process.
Payroll and onboarding can run with limited involvement from you, and Finance can rely on what it receives: procedures are documented, a backup is trained, and reporting, accruals and cost analysis arrive on schedule and reconciled to the ledger.
Why VALD?
We are a flexible employer, and the benefits and perks when you join VALD are pretty great! We value our team, and this is just a taste of what we offer:
Food: On-site chefs who prepare fresh breakfast and lunch, Monday to Friday.
Coffee and Drinks: On-site barista to make your coffee just as you like it.
Games: Table tennis and basketball court if that’s your thing.

Successful applicants will be subject to background checks (including identity and criminal record checks). It will be a condition of employment that the background checks return acceptable results.

Why Deliveroo
Our mission is to transform the way you shop and eat, bringing the neighbourhood to your door by connecting consumers, restaurants, shops and riders. We are transforming the way the world eats and shops by making access to food and products more convenient and enjoyable. We give people the opportunity to buy what they want, as they want it, when and where they want it.
We are a technology-driven company at the forefront of the most rapidly expanding industry in the world. We are still a small team, making a very large impact, looking to answer some of the most interesting questions out there. We move fast, value autonomy and ownership, and we are always looking for new ideas.
Workplace & Benefits
At Deliveroo we know that people are the heart of the business and we prioritise their welfare. Benefits differ by country, but we offer many benefits in areas including healthcare, well-being, parental leave, pensions, and generous annual leave allowances, including time off to support a charitable cause of your choice. Benefits are country-specific, please ask your recruiter for more information.
Diversity
At Deliveroo, we believe a great workplace is one that represents the world we live in and how beautifully diverse it can be. That means we have no judgement when it comes to any one of the things that make you who you are - your gender, race, sexuality, religion or a secret aversion to coriander. All you need is a passion for (most) food and a desire to be part of one of the fastest-growing businesses in a rapidly growing industry.
We are committed to diversity, equity and inclusion in all aspects of our hiring process. We recognise that some candidates may require adjustments to apply for a position or fairly participate in the interview process. If you require any adjustments, please don't hesitate to let us know. We will make every effort to provide the necessary adjustments to ensure you have an equitable opportunity to succeed.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
At Deliveroo, we know that a great workplace reflects the world around us and that true diversity and inclusion make us stronger, more creative, and better at what we do. We’re committed to fostering an environment where everyone can do their best work and feel they belong.
We believe in equality of opportunity and welcome candidates from all backgrounds regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, socio-economic background, religion, or belief.
If you have a disability or long-term health condition and need support to apply for one of our roles, or require any reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process, you’ll have the opportunity to let us know once you’ve submitted your application. We’ll share details on how to request support so we can ensure you have a fair and equitable experience.
If you’re excited about making a real impact in a fast-moving marketplace and growing your career alongside ambitious, supportive teams, we’d love to hear from you!

About Wolt
At Wolt, we create technology that brings joy, simplicity and earnings to the neighborhoods of the world. In 2014 we started with delivery of restaurant food. Now we’re building the delivery of (almost) everything and you’ll find us in over 500 cities in 30 countries around the world. In 2022 we joined forces with DoorDash and together we keep on dreaming big and expanding across the globe.
Working at Wolt isn’t always easy, but it’s definitely exciting. Here you’ll learn more, build more, and ship more than in most other companies. You’ll be challenged a lot, but also have a lot of fun on the way. So, if you’re a self-starter with drive and entrepreneurial spirit, this could be the ride of your life.
Wolt is a Finnish technology company known for its local commerce platform. From food delivery to grocery stores and cosmetics, we make cities better places to live by connecting people with the things they need. Our Global Creative Production team is currently undergoing a massive transformation, shifting from a reactive service center to an "upstream AI-Enabled growth engine".
We are looking for a
Senior Creative Producer
to join us at this pivotal moment.
This is a 6-month fixed contract opportunity starting ASAP.
Location: Helsinki, Berlin, Athens.
What you’ll be doing
As the Senior Creative Producer, you will manage digital projects from brief to final delivery. You’ll thrive in cross-functional collaboration across different business departments such as B2B, Communication, New Verticals, and Wolt+ teams. You’ll own project timelines for successful deliveries, weekly standups, daily communication with stakeholders and creative teams, and the localization and QA process during the production of social and digital assets.
You will own the end-to-end production of digital advertising projects, ensuring our creative assets are not only on-brand but also built for massive scale across global markets. You will be responsible for the day-to-day organization of the team and daily communication from brief to delivery.
Day-to-day in this role, you’ll:
End-to-End Delivery:
Manage digital projects and multi-channel campaigns from concept to launch. Our deliverables touch social, in-app, DOOH, event collateral, and OOH.
Resource & Budget Control:
Oversee project costs, timelines, and team allocations without losing creative quality.
Stakeholder Management:
Align internal marketing teams, designers, and external agencies on project milestones and timelines. Daily and/or weekly status updates are crucial for the success of our projects.
Time Management & Multitasking
: Excellent time management skills with the ability to set priorities, multitask, and meet deadlines. Our producers are working on multiple projects simultaneously, and projects might touch different surfaces each time.
Our humble expectations
Solid Production Experience:
8+ years in creative production or integrated campaign management, ideally within a high-growth tech environment or a progressive digital agency.
Understanding of Media Plans
: You have experience with specs and asset production across Awareness, Consideration, and Conversion layers.
Stakeholder Management:
Ability to manage complex projects with multiple high-level stakeholders while maintaining high creative standards. Demonstrated success partnering with distributed teams across time zones and cultures
Risk Management & Reporting
: Ability to assess risks during production, find solutions, and share with management and stakeholders in a timely manner.
Organizational skills
: Methodical in following a predetermined system to complete tasks and meticulous in paying close attention to small details without losing sight of the big picture.
Strong work ethic and accountability
: A proactive attitude and rigor on everyday tasks, a positive mindset despite ongoing changes, and an excitement to learn. Resourceful during productions; deciding and acting on whether to bring external and/or internal resources and self-motivated to lead the project to completion. Someone who doesn’t shy away from a challenge and follows through on commitments made.
Tech-Forward Mindset:
You have a strong interest (and ideally experience) in AI-powered creative tools and generative workflows.
What we offer
Shape the Future:
You won’t just be filling a seat; you’ll be building the blueprint for how Wolt produces creative content for years to come.
Innovation at Scale:
Work at the forefront of AI and automation in the creative industry, moving from manual tasks to agentic workflows.
Impact:
Take ownership of strategic business priorities and see your work scale globally.
Wolt Culture:
Join a team that values ownership, heart, and a "get things done" attitude in a hybrid, flexible work environment.
