An overview of this role
This is an overnight shift role with working hours of 12:00am - 7:00am EST.
As a Support Engineer on our U.S. Government Support Engineering team, you operate at the critical intersection of Support and Engineering, enabling public sector organizations and United States government agencies to run GitLab in some of the most secure and constrained environments in the world. Your work directly supports national security missions, including customers operating within FedRAMP-authorized, air-gapped, and classified or semi-classified environments where traditional troubleshooting approaches are not always possible.
In this role, you will engage deeply with GitLab through the command line; analyzing logs, system behavior, and application performance with strong Linux fundamentals and an understanding of how GitLab’s components interact end-to-end. You may partner with Product and Engineering to reproduce and document edge-case defects using sanitized or redacted data, or contribute directly to the product by opening merge requests that resolve customer-impacting issues. Beyond resolving individual cases, you’ll help strengthen GitLab by improving documentation, support workflows, and institutional knowledge, ensuring that lessons learned in highly regulated environments benefit the broader platform; all while working in a fully remote, highly collaborative environment built on trust, autonomy, and shared ownership.
Some examples of our projects:
A tool to quickly analyze strace output
A solution to capture the state of a customer’s server for easier troubleshooting
A functionality to ChatOps to make it easier to identify user accounts on GitLab.com
What you’ll do
Collaborate closely with public sector customers, including U.S. government agencies, the Department of War, and Intelligence Community organizations, to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues in GitLab deployments operating under strict security, compliance, and operational constraints.
Perform deep, hands-on technical investigations using Linux command-line tooling and GitLab internals to analyze logs, system performance, and application behavior, often with limited telemetry or incomplete datasets. You will trace issues across infrastructure, application, and code paths to identify root causes, recommend mitigations, and drive durable fixes; frequently partnering with GitLab Product, Development, and Infrastructure teams to ensure outcomes that meet both mission and platform reliability requirements.
Create and update clear, reusable documentation and support content based on real customer interactions to improve self-service and reduce repeated issues.
Participate in regular
pairing sessions
with other Support Engineers and act as a
stable counterpart
to cross-functional teams to share knowledge and improve support processes.
Contribute to building and refining internal support tools and workflows, including automation and troubleshooting utilities, to make diagnosing and resolving issues more efficient.
Participate in weekday and weekend on-call rotations, providing timely emergency support for self-managed customers operating in restricted and compliance-focused environments.
Support the growth of the team by reviewing applications and assessments, and participating in interviews and hiring decision discussions.
What you’ll bring
Due to government security requirements, you must be a United States Citizen (defined as any individual who is a citizen of the United States by law, birth, or naturalization) to be eligible for this position
Experience managing customer-facing cases across the full support lifecycle, from initial inquiry and triage through reproduction, escalation, and resolution
Strong Linux systems administration knowledge, with the ability to troubleshoot performance and configuration issues in complex environments
Familiarity with AI/LLM-powered developer tooling and gateway architectures (for example GitLab Duo, AI gateway configurations, or similar model-serving/proxy layers), including how they're deployed and troubleshot in self-managed or air-gapped environments
Ability to use scripting languages (preferably Ruby or Bash) and work within model-view-controller frameworks (preferably Ruby on Rails) to investigate and resolve issues
Practical experience with Git and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) workflows
Skill in creating and maintaining clear, accurate support content and technical documentation
Ability to explain complex technical topics in a clear, empathetic way to customers and coworkers with varying technical backgrounds
Familiarity with DevOps practices and container-orchestration technologies such as OpenShift and Kubernetes
Understanding of common information security and compliance concepts and controls (for example DISA STIG and SELinux), and eligibility to work on United States federal customer environments as required for this role
About the team
At GitLab Federal, LLC, the U.S. Government Support Engineering team partners with public sector organizations and United States government agencies to support GitLab in highly secure, mission-critical environments. Our work directly enables national security outcomes, supporting customers across the Intelligence Community, Department of War, and other federal, state, and local government entities operating within regulated and restricted boundaries.
We are embedded within Support Engineering and work closely with Product, Development, Infrastructure, Customer Success, and Sales to solve complex, high-impact technical challenges. Our team frequently dives into code, logs, and architectural behavior to understand not just what is failing, but why; especially in environments with sanitized data, limited visibility, and strict compliance controls such as FedRAMP. We collaborate asynchronously across time zones and through structured pairing and discussion to share knowledge, strengthen solutions, and continuously improve how GitLab supports secure, air-gapped, and regulated deployments, while upholding GitLab's standards for rigor, transparency, and technical excellence.

What this role is about
You'll manage a team of Assigned Support Engineers who provide relationship-based technical support to GitLab's biggest enterprise customers. ASEs work proactively with customers to find root causes and prevent repeat issues, which is different from working a ticket queue. They also turn their actions and activity into outcomes and deliverables that show customers the ROI they get from GitLab.
You'll build a team that works independently, owns issues from start to finish, and knows when to ask for help. When a customer relationship is in trouble, you'll work alongside the account teams to bring it back to health. You'll also help improve the ASE program in ways that matter to customers and to the company.
What you'll do
Hire, coach, and develop ASEs. Hold regular 1:1s, give direct feedback, deal with performance issues early, and build a team where people feel safe raising problems.
Pay attention to engagement and retention, and coach the team on GitLab's values and operating principles.
Train ASEs to run technical interviews so the hiring pipeline doesn't depend on you.
Set clear goals and expectations, track progress across onboarding, relationships, escalations, and KPIs, and connect the team's work to company priorities. Help ASEs prioritize across accounts when everything feels urgent.
Lead escalations from start to finish. Work with Engineering, Product, Sales, and Customer Success to get the right people moving, and keep the customer informed and confident in the plan.
Work alongside the account teams to bring at-risk customers back to health, including renewal and expansion risk driven by support concerns. Build the recovery plan, drive the technical side, and report on progress until the customer is stable.
Help ASEs translate their actions and activity into outcomes, deliverables, and ROI, and present that to customers and executives in clear decks that cover what happened, what you're doing about it, and what comes next.
Work with the ASE leadership team on initiatives that improve the program and customer outcomes, and see yours through to results.
Partner with Sales, Customer Success, CSMs, Product, and Engineering to push for what customers need, and contribute utilization and onboarding data to capacity and headcount planning with Finance and sales leadership.
Document how the team works and find ways to make it more efficient through tools, process changes, and automation. Use AI well in your own work and coach ASEs to do the same.
What you'll bring
5+ years in technical support, with at least 2 years managing customer-facing technical teams.
Experience with high-touch or assigned support for enterprise customers. Professional services delivery counts. Experience across Self-Managed, GitLab Dedicated, and GitLab.com is a plus.
A strong record of handling escalations with both internal teams and customers. You stay calm, keep people aligned, and know when to bring in leadership.
The ability to turn a complicated or nuanced situation into a clear written story and tie activity to outcomes with numbers.
A customer-centric approach balanced with good judgment about what the service, the team, and the company can deliver, and experience working with account teams to bring struggling customers back to health.
A record of getting work done across teams through influence and strong working relationships. You can work with Sales, CS, and account teams to set clear expectations for the ASE service and find the right path for each customer.
Willingness to be available outside standard hours, including weekends, for the occasional critical escalation or customer-impacting incident.
Comfort with ambiguity and change. You keep a team steady while priorities, processes, and the program evolve, and you explain the reasons for changes so people stay engaged.
A strong technical foundation to guide engineers in complex, production-critical environments, including Linux system administration and web application development concepts. Familiarity with Git, DevOps practices, or GitLab is helpful.
A history of developing engineers at different skill levels through real feedback, mentoring, and clear expectations.
Process skills that make a team more efficient without adding bureaucracy, and comfort leading a remote, globally distributed team using metrics and customer feedback.
About the team
The ASE team is spread across AMER, EMEA, and APAC and works mostly async, with regular pairing sessions, 1:1s, and Slack. We support GitLab's largest and most strategic customers, who run GitLab in production-critical environments. We dig into code and logs, work across departments, and focus on root cause, trends, preventing repeat issues, and providing the technical acumen that helps customers get the most value out of GitLab for their business.

Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.

Build and execute territory plans, identifying opportunities across semiconductors and electronics, automotive and mobility, batteries and energy, shipbuilding and heavy industry, and materials and chemicals
Lead consultative sales processes with senior stakeholders — including heads of digital/AI transformation (DX/AX), R&D and engineering leaders, manufacturing and quality executives, CIOs/CISOs, and business-line executives
Navigate Korea’s manufacturing technology environment, including industrial technology and National Core Technology protection requirements, trade secret and IP safeguards, export control considerations, and strict information security review

Work with internal teams (Product, Engineering, Applied AI, Partnerships, Legal) to tailor solutions that meet manufacturing-sector security and IP protection standards
Stay informed on trends shaping Korean manufacturing, including AI in engineering and design, smart factory and autonomous manufacturing initiatives, and supply chain resilience
Preferred qualifications
8+ years of enterprise sales experience in Korea, with significant exposure to manufacturing
A genuine understanding of how Korean manufacturers make technology decisions, including the role of group-level governance, IT affiliates, information security functions, and R&D leadership
Direct experience navigating security and IP protection reviews in manufacturing environments, including requirements tied to protected industrial technology and restricted data environments
A track record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles typical of large manufacturers, including group-wide rollouts and rigorous security review
Proven experience exceeding revenue targets within manufacturing accounts
Excellent communication skills in both Korean and English
A passion for AI built and deployed safely

Visa sponsorship:
We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification.
Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

An overview of this role
As Director of Regional Sales for GitLab's National Security Group (NSG), you'll lead a field-based team of Account Executives driving new and expansion revenue across US federal NSG departments. You'll coach and grow the team, spend time with key accounts, and lead large-deal strategy and executive negotiations. Your work will help agencies adopt GitLab's development, security, and operations (DevSecOps) platform through complex federal procurement processes.
You'll partner with senior leadership, Renewals, Customer Success, Product, and Marketing to align our sales approach with agency needs. This includes shaping offerings authorized under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP), bringing field feedback into the roadmap, and building long-term growth within large agencies. You'll travel as needed for customer meetings and team engagements.
What you'll do
Recruit, hire, lead, and coach Account Executives covering NSG departments to achieve regional revenue and growth targets while building an accountable, inclusive team.
Lead new business and expansion strategy, generating and progressing pipeline across priority accounts to meet or exceed quarterly and annual bookings targets.
Own regional forecasting, opportunity data quality, and deal reviews. Use MEDDPICC (Metrics, Economic Buyer, Decision Criteria, Decision Process, Paper Process, Identify Pain, Champion, and Competition) to qualify opportunities and give senior leadership clear visibility into pipeline health, commitments, and risks.
Guide complex federal procurement processes with distributors and partners, including Carahsoft and systems integrators. Navigate contracting vehicles, funding cycles, and agency-specific buying processes to secure multi-year contracts and expansions.
Shape the sales approach for regulated environments, connecting FedRAMP-authorized offerings and mission-critical DevSecOps use cases to agency needs and increasing platform adoption.
Work with Renewals, Customer Success, Marketing, Product, and federal partners on account plans, product roadmap feedback, and campaigns that support retention and expansion.
Expand within large agencies through new workloads, cross-sells, and upsells, balancing near-term revenue with long-term platform adoption.
Meet customers in the field and travel as needed for key account meetings, large-deal reviews, and team engagements. Build senior executive relationships and lead negotiations while working effectively in GitLab's asynchronous environment.
What you'll bring
Experience in open source software, DevOps, or related enterprise technology sales.
A process- and data-driven approach to sales operations, including advanced use of Salesforce and other customer relationship management (CRM) and marketing automation tools.
Experience selling or leading teams in regulated or compliance-driven environments, such as FedRAMP or similar government software-as-a-service frameworks, or the ability to learn quickly in highly regulated markets.
Success selling and coaching teams through complex enterprise deals with large public sector accounts, including long sales cycles and multiple stakeholders.
Familiarity with MEDDPICC or a similar sales methodology, including pipeline generation, qualification, forecasting, and deal reviews.
Experience hiring, coaching, developing, and leading regional, field-based sales teams while building an accountable, collaborative, and inclusive team.
Skill in managing senior executive relationships and leading executive meetings and negotiations within large organizations with multiple departments and decision-makers.
Alignment with GitLab's values and leadership expectations. We welcome transferable skills in enterprise technology sales and team leadership from a range of backgrounds.
About the team
The NSG sales team is an all-remote organization. We collaborate asynchronously across regions and work with federal distributors and systems integrators, including Carahsoft, to support government customers.
Our work supports GitLab's mission to enable everyone to contribute to and co-create the software that powers our world. We value transparency and collaboration, and you'll have the autonomy and accountability to own your results.

An Overview about the Role
We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to own the Lead-to-Opportunity (L2O) domain within our Salesforce and GTM technology ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of marketing operations, sales process, and technology owning the roadmap for how leads are captured, scored, routed, and converted into pipeline, and how our broader GTM tech stack supports that motion.
This is a foundational hire one of the first product managers on a team actively transforming from a reactive BSA model into a proactive, roadmap-driven product organization. You'll be both an individual contributor driving your own domain and a mentor helping BSAs grow into product manager roles. You'll have direct influence over how we shape the team's future operating model.
What You'll Do
Internal Product Roadmap Ownership
Define, own, and maintain the multi-quarter internal product roadmap for the Lead-to-Opportunity domain covering lead capture, enrichment, scoring, routing, conversion, opportunity and the broader GTM technology stack integrated with Salesforce
Translate business strategy from Marketing, Sales Development, RevOps, and GTM leadership into sequenced, prioritized system capabilities with clear outcomes and success metrics
Define the domain's strategic priorities each quarter and half, balancing net-new capability delivery, stabilization, and technical debt reduction with transparent trade-off frameworks
Drive quarterly planning ceremonies, partnering with Engineering Managers and BSAs to align capacity with roadmap commitments
Own domain-level documentation: process maps, current-vs-future state lead lifecycle flows, and decision logs that keep stakeholders and the team aligned on scope and ownership
Stakeholder Partnership & Requirements Translation
Serve as the primary product voice for all L2O and GTM Systems initiatives, partnering closely with Marketing, Marketing Operations, SDR/BDR leadership, Sales, and RevOps
Lead discovery, requirements workshops, and business process design sessions translating complex GTM and marketing operations requirements into actionable system specifications
Own the decision layer between "what the business needs" and "what engineering builds," resolving ambiguity with structured frameworks and documented decisions
Run structured stakeholder alignment sessions to surface trade-offs, build consensus, and drive open decisions to closure rather than letting them linger
Represent the domain in cross-team planning and leadership reviews able to explain technical constraints to business stakeholders and business context to engineers
Team Mentorship & Capability Building
Act as a product craft mentor and senior thought partner for the BSA team, actively upskilling analysts in product thinking, requirements structuring, acceptance criteria definition, and roadmap communication
Model and codify what "good" looks like reusable templates, rituals (backlog grooming, roadmap reviews), and a rubric BSAs can grow against
Give BSAs increasing ownership over pieces of the roadmap as they develop, with regular feedback and structured check-ins
Partner with leadership to evolve the team's operating model from project-execution-focused to product-thinking-led, raising the bar for how EntApps delivers business value
Program Strategy & Delivery Oversight
Lead initiatives end-to-end: discovery, requirements, prioritization, solution design review, UAT, launch, and post-launch measurement
Write and maintain clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and lead-flow and data-flow diagrams that engineering and admins can build against without ambiguity
Manage a healthy, well-groomed backlog intake requests from Marketing and Sales Development, triage by impact and effort, and defend prioritization decisions to stakeholders
Define success metrics per initiative (lead response time, routing accuracy, lead-to-opportunity conversion rate, data quality, SDR/BDR adoption) and report on outcomes, not just delivery
Identify and de-risk dependencies across adjacent domains campaign operations, data enrichment vendors, opportunity handoff to sales before they block delivery
Own UAT strategy and acceptance criteria in collaboration with BSAs, ensuring system changes meet business requirements before production release
Systems Architecture Collaboration
Partner with Enterprise Architects and Engineering Managers on Salesforce and MarTech integration design marketing automation platform to Salesforce sync, data enrichment pipelines, lead scoring and routing engines, ensuring choices hold up to governance, scale, and future roadmap needs
Bring informed opinions on GTM platform architecture trade-offs based on deep domain knowledge
Stay current on platform roadmaps for Salesforce Sales Cloud and connected MarTech tools, identifying opportunities to leverage native capabilities before custom builds
Maintain domain-level R&R clarity, who owns what across US/India technical managers, BSAs, and adjacent pods and update as team and scope evolve
Ability to engage deeply with engineering and architecture teams on API design, data modeling, and integration patterns.
What You'll Bring
7+ years in Salesforce product management, business systems analysis, or Marketing/Revenue Operations technology roles, with demonstrated growth into product ownership
Strong working knowledge of Lead-to-Opportunity processes; lead capture, scoring, routing, and conversion and how they connect marketing execution to sales pipeline
Hands-on familiarity with the GTM technology stack: Salesforce Sales Cloud plus marketing automation platforms (Marketo, HubSpot, or Pardot), lead scoring and routing tools, and data enrichment or intent providers
Good Understanding of quoting process
Demonstrated ability to own and communicate multi-quarter internal product roadmaps to senior business and technology stakeholders
Proven experience leading initiatives end-to-end with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities, especially across Marketing and Sales
Sufficient technical fluency to engage meaningfully with engineering on API design, data model decisions, and integration trade-offs — without needing to write code
Experience mentoring or upskilling analysts and BSAs, you enjoy developing people, not just managing tickets
Excellent written and verbal communication; able to represent technical trade-offs to non-technical executives and translate business asks into clear technical requirements
Comfortable operating in ambiguity and driving structure where none exists
Experience with AI-assisted development workflows, data governance and compliance for lead data, or prior people-management experience
About the Team
You'll be one of the first product managers on a team actively transforming from a reactive BSA function into a proactive, roadmap-driven product organization. The Lead-to-Opportunity domain sits at the top of GitLab's revenue funnel; the quality of data, routing, and conversion here affects every downstream system and every seller. Getting this right is not an IT problem; it's a revenue problem. You'll have direct influence over how we shape the team's future operating model and how the next generation of BSAs grows into product managers.
