Operating beyond the scope of conventional services or solutions engineering, Deployment Strategists function as embedded technical advisors. You will manage the entire spectrum of customer outcome, initiating with deep discovery and investigative work and culminating in the design, integration, and long-term empowerment of the user.
This position exists at the nexus of analytical rigor, specialized domain knowledge, and strategic customer partnership. You will engage directly with clients to internalize their operational goals, developing bespoke workflows that allow organizations to leverage Chainalysis independently. Your impact hinges on robust investigative instincts, technical proficiency, and the capacity to cultivate trust through hands-on expertise and field credibility.
In this role, you’ll:
- Own end-to-end customer engagements — from discovery through investigation, solution design, deployment, enablement, and ongoing value delivery
- Partner directly with customers to understand investigative, intelligence, compliance, or operational objectives and translate them into actionable outcomes
- Design, build, and maintain custom workflows, notebooks, dashboards, queries, and data models using Chainalysis data and products
- Enable customers to operate solutions independently — building their capability so that Chainalysis becomes embedded in their operational infrastructure
- Act as the primary technical and domain advisor for your customers, building trusted relationships through hands-on expertise and credibility
- Deliver live training, demos, investigative walkthroughs, and technical briefings to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Pre-sales technical engagement for complex and strategic deals, helping customers understand what's possible and how to get there
- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Global Intel, and Sales to influence roadmap and improve offerings based on field intelligence
- Develop and share domain expertise, investigative techniques, and best practices that raise the capability of the wider team
We’re looking for candidates who have:
- Both spoken and written Mandarin fluency
- Conducted or directly supported cryptocurrency investigations, blockchain intelligence work, or financial crime analysis in an operational environment
- Deep familiarity with blockchain ecosystems (BTC, ETH, stablecoins, DeFi) and how on-chain data is used in investigations, compliance, or intelligence workflows
- Delivered customer-facing technical solutions — whether investigative outputs, data products, or analytical workflows — in complex, real-world environments
- Built insights from large or complex datasets and communicated findings to varied audiences — from analysts to executives
- Operated successfully in fast-paced, ambiguous environments requiring ownership, adaptability, and sound judgment
Required Skills:
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis, transformation, and solution development
- Experience building notebooks, dashboards, and analytical workflows
- Solid understanding of data modelling, querying, and working with large datasets
- Ability to quickly develop deep expertise in Chainalysis data structures, schemas, and products
Domain Expertise
- Substantive knowledge of at least one domain: financial and cyber crime investigations, sanctions and compliance, fraud, national security, DeFi/protocol security, tax, or private sector risk
- Understanding of how customers in your domain operate — their workflows, regulatory environment, and what success looks like for them
- Ability to apply domain knowledge to shape investigation approach, solution design, and customer advisory
Customer & Communication Skills
- Proven ability to build trusted, long-term customer relationships through technical and domain credibility
- Excellent communication skills — can explain complex investigative and data concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Comfortable leading customer sessions, workshops, training, and technical working groups
- Experience enabling and upskilling customer teams — not just delivering outputs, but building customer capability
AI at Chainalysis
AI is not a feature at Chainalysis - it is a new way of working. One that turns instructions into work done, and helps us move faster than the threats we're built to counter, and we expect our employees to take ownership of the output and ensure quality. As the world's most trusted blockchain analytics platform, Chainalysis sits at a rare intersection of proprietary data, regulatory relationships and crypto expertise that makes it uniquely placed to shape and lead the next era of AI-driven intelligence - and we expect everyone here, regardless of role, to be an active part of it.
AI fluency is tied directly to how we measure performance and how we plan to win. There is no substitute for your own curiosity. We provide the tools, workflows, and space to experiment - but the expectation is that you develop these capabilities yourself, bring ideas, and collaborate across teams to reinvent the way work gets done. We are not using AI to do less. We are using it to do what was never possible before.

Canonical is a leading provider of open source software and operating systems to the global enterprise and technology markets. Our platform, Ubuntu, is very widely used in breakthrough enterprise initiatives such as public cloud, data science, AI, engineering innovation and IoT. Our customers include the world's leading public cloud and silicon providers, and industry leaders in many sectors. The company is a pioneer of global distributed collaboration, with 1200+ colleagues in 75+ countries and very few office based roles. Teams meet two to four times yearly in person, in interesting locations around the world, to align on strategy and execution.
The company is founder led, profitable and growing.
Canonical builds the open-source software that runs the world’s clouds, devices and AI, and we hold our managers to a high standard. Our Talent Development team exists to make leaders and managers at Canonical genuinely excellent. We define what great management looks like here, and we bring managers and leaders up to that standard through direct, hands-on work, both from the centre and embedded inside engineering and commercial organisations.
As a Senior Organisational Development Practitioner you are the person who sets the bar for how coaching and organisational development is practised here. You coach leaders to a clear standard of management excellence. You diagnose how a whole organisation is led and drive the plan to raise it. You develop the practitioners working in the field. It is one of the most senior and demanding Talent roles at Canonical: hands-on coaching and organisational-development craft with real leaders, in a company that expects you to be credible in a room of directors and to earn that credibility fast.
You work both from the central team and embedded inside a leader's organisation for periods, turning what you learn in the field back into how we develop leaders and managers across Canonical.
Location: These are remote based positions, available across EMEA and the Americas.
What you deliver
Raising individual leaders
Coaching leaders to visibly raise their game against a clear standard of management excellence.
Landing the hard conversations, because you coach leaders to make them happen.
Turning 360 feedback into real, followed-through commitments, not a report that gets filed.
Lifting organisations and the company
Leaving an organisation you take on visibly better led, off a sharp first-weeks diagnosis and a plan you own and drive.
Contributing to defining and implementing new ways of working across our globally distributed company.
Building the function and its standards
Developing the practitioners in the field so they get visibly better at their craft under your supervision.
Setting the bar for how coaching and organisational development is done at Canonical: owning what exceptional looks like, proving the methods in the field, and holding the practice to them.
Sharpening the management-excellence standard itself across Canonical, by feeding back what you learn in the field.
What we are looking for in you
Deep, hands-on coaching and organisational-development practice with real leaders and teams, not just programme design.
A track record of measurably changing how leaders behave, with specific examples you can talk through.
Credibility: you can walk into a room of directors and be taken seriously.
Effectiveness operating inside someone else's organisation without formal authority.
A clear and honest philosophy of development: you know where coaching helps, and you are candid about where a role or fit decision is the right call.
An exceptional academic track record from high school and university.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Sincere personal motivation aligned with our mission.
Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events.
In addition we expect that you will match our values, by being:
Precise, taking care to deliver correctness and clarity.
Reliable, delivering high quality work that builds trust and confidence.
Accessible, collaborating to build products and systems that are usable.
Adroit, blending enthusiasm, knowledge, adaptability, style and character.
Nice-to-have skills
A management-consulting background: comfortable with ambiguity, able to diagnose, propose and move.
Experience coaching across a distributed, fast-moving, technical organisation.
Experience building competency or development frameworks.
Experience designing and running effective workshops or training sessions, in person and online.
Learning-design judgment for development materials. We want the design sense; AI handles the production drafting.
Talent-development experience, valued alongside but secondary to coaching and consulting craft.
What we offer colleagues
We consider geographical location, experience, and performance in shaping compensation worldwide. We revisit compensation annually (and more often for graduates and associates) to ensure we recognise outstanding performance. In addition to base pay, we offer a performance-driven annual bonus. Annual compensation review
Recognition rewards
Annual holiday leave
Maternity and paternity leave
Employee Assistance Programme
Opportunity to travel to new locations to meet colleagues
Priority Pass, and travel upgrades for long haul company events

ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are looking for an ML Engineer to own the production inference stack for our text-to-speech (TTS) and speech recognition (ASR) models, end to end. Our research team delivers trained model checkpoints; you will productionize them as low-latency, real-time streaming services that run cost-efficiently on GPUs. The role covers the inference engines, the Kubernetes infrastructure they run on, and the performance benchmarking and accuracy validation that let us ship changes safely. You will bridge research and production, and own latency, throughput, cost and accuracy as we scale.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Build and optimize streaming inference engines for TTS and ASR models, including multi-stage model pipelines.
- Optimize latency (time to first chunk, p50/p99) and throughput using continuous batching, CUDA Graphs, torch.compile and mixed precision.
- Maintain numerical parity with the reference implementation through automated accuracy regression tests, per stage and end to end.
- Deploy and operate GPU inference services on Kubernetes: autoscaling, containerization and infrastructure as code.
- Build CI/CD for model artifacts, with model versioning and reproducible releases.
- Own observability and performance benchmarking: p50/p99 latency, real-time factor (RTF), GPU utilization and cost per request.
- Partner with research to productionize new models.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- Hands-on experience deploying, scaling and optimizing ML models in production, beyond consuming model APIs.
- Working knowledge of the full inference stack, from CUDA kernels to serving frameworks, with depth in some layers; expertise across all of them is not expected.
- GPU performance optimization: profiling (Nsight Systems, PyTorch Profiler), memory bandwidth, CPU-GPU synchronization.
- Solid understanding of model serving: continuous batching, KV cache management, request scheduling.
- Production experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD and cloud infrastructure.
- Strong Python and PyTorch, and a rigorous approach to performance benchmarking.
- Experience with speech or audio models (TTS, ASR, voice conversion).
- Experience with inference frameworks such as vLLM (vLLM-Omni), SGLang, TensorRT-LLM, TensorRT or Triton Inference Server.

BENEFITS FOR U.S.-BASED ROLES:

- 15 company holidays
- 2 floating holidays
- Generous parental leave & fertility support

Participate in sprint ceremonies and advocate for quality throughout the development lifecycle in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

2–4 years of experience in QA engineering with a focus on automation.
Proficiency in automated UI testing frameworks, preferably Playwright with JS/TypeScript.

Solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions).
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the Payments domain.
Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g., K6).
