Imunify360
is a leading developer of Linux infrastructure and security solutions. Our flagship product, Imunify360, is a comprehensive security suite that protects thousands of shared hosting environments, VPS, and dedicated servers worldwide. Our clients include industry giants such as Dell, GoDaddy, IBM, and Zoom, with over 4,500 customers globally. The company has more than 250 employees.
We are looking for an
engineer-architect
to build a
new product from scratch
. This is not a position within an existing team—you will single-handedly create a runtime protection layer for Node.js applications. The hosting market is rapidly adopting Node.js, and modern applications are increasingly generated by users with AI tools and little technical security expertise. Your mission is to make protection automatic, transparent to client code, and effective in real time.
This is a role with the highest level of
ownership
(Senior / Staff / Architect level), where you will make key architectural decisions and take full responsibility for the outcome.
Responsibilities
Define the technical approach for building runtime protection inside the Node.js process.
Design the detection logic to identify and block attacks during application execution.
Build and launch the first version of the product in real production environments.
Ensure the protection works
without requiring changes to client code
and without breaking legitimate applications.
Continuously improve the product based on telemetry, production feedback, and real-world incidents.
Achieve target values across four key metrics:
Runtime overhead
False positives
False negatives
Customer escalation volume
Requirements
The top priority is Security, not just Node.js.
Security experience outweighs general backend tenure.
Must-have:
Experience in Security Engineering or Security Research
(deep understanding of attack vectors and defense methods).
Have independently built and shipped a product/solution from scratch
(end-to-end ownership: from idea to production).
Ability to take an ambiguous problem, define a solution, and deliver a working result without constant supervision.
Experience designing architecture and making key technical decisions (Staff/Architect level is a strong plus).
English language:
Intermediate or higher
(written and spoken — all interviews are conducted in English).
Nice-to-have:
Security experience specifically in the context of Node.js (vulnerability analysis, securing, researching Node.js applications).
Experience with Linux in production and development environments.
Knowledge of Runtime Protection, WAF, instrumentation, malware analysis, and Incident Response.
Experience in managed hosting / VPS domains.
Experience with AI coding agents (Copilot, Cursor, etc.).
Important:
If you are a Security Engineer / Researcher who doesn't code on a daily basis, you must be comfortable using AI-assisted development tools and be capable of building an MVP with their help.
Who you are (mindset):
Builder:
You genuinely enjoy creating something new and seeing it run in production.
High ownership:
You don't wait for tasks to be assigned — you define the approach and own the results.
Practioner:
You write code (yourself or with AI), not just review and coordinate.
You understand
Detection Engineering
— how detection rules behave at scale across thousands of servers and the true cost of false positives.
We do NOT consider candidates who:
Have only theoretical or research experience without shipping real products.
Have general Node.js development experience but lack a security component.
Reside in countries with complex B2B tax reporting requirements (USA, UK, Canada, Germany, France, and others — to be clarified during screening).
Have frequent job changes (every 1–2 years) without valid reasons.
Benefits
Format:
100% remote work anywhere in the world.
Legal setup:
B2B only (contract with your sole proprietorship or company).
Budget:
Up to $12,000 gross/month (before taxes, under a B2B agreement).
Company:
A stable, established international product company with 15+ years in the market.
Role:
A key position in building a new product line from the ground up.

What you’ll be part of
Garner is on a mission to transform the U.S. healthcare system — and we’re the only proven player doing exactly that. We partner with employers to redesign how healthcare works: applying 550+ proprietary clinical metrics across 80+ specialties to a dataset of 320M+ patients to identify the best-performing doctors, then using compelling incentives to steer members to the care that helps them get healthier, faster.
The result is a rare “win win” — better care and lower costs for both members and employers. In just five years, our work has helped over 2.5 million people access higher-quality care and saved $1B in healthcare costs. We recently raised our Series E and have doubled five years running. If you've ever wanted your work to solve a problem that touches every person in this country, this is the opportunity to do exactly that. You'd be joining a team fundamentally reimagining healthcare in the U.S. — and using AI to scale that impact further and faster than anyone else can.
About the role:
We are seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to own the reliability, performance, and resilience of the cloud infrastructure powering Garner’s products and AI/ML workloads. This role sits on our Platform Engineering team. You will run the machine: defining and upholding SLOs, leading incident response, and driving the automation and standards that let every Garner engineer ship faster and more reliably. Because our systems directly influence health outcomes for millions of patients, maintaining the highest standards of production quality is imperative. This is an automation-first role: you will use AI tools to continuously convert manual operational work into monitored, hands-free processes, so the role gets more leveraged as you build.
Where you will work:
Garner is headquartered in NYC, but this position is available for individuals who are comfortable with remote work and occasional travel to HQ.
What you will do:
Run the Machine:
Own the end-to-end reliability, performance, and resilience of Garner’s cloud environments (AWS, Kubernetes), including those powering AI/ML workloads; define, measure, and uphold SLOs across our critical services
Lead Incident Response:
Serve in the on-call rotation, lead incident response, and drive deep-dive root cause analysis, seeing corrective actions through to resolution and rigorously reviewing infrastructure changes
Own Observability:
Build and maintain the monitoring, alerting, and observability systems that let us detect and resolve issues before users feel them
Scale & Optimize:
Translate ambiguous, high-performance scaling requirements into well-defined, automated, and composable infrastructure-as-code deliverables (Terraform); proactively identify and implement cost-efficiency and performance gains across the stack to maximize cloud ROI
Automate Away Toil:
Pay down impactful tech debt and reduce operational toil, using AI tools and automation to convert repetitive operational work into hands-free, monitored processes, and holding our internal platform to the same rigorous standards as our customer-facing products
Enable Engineering:
Build and maintain the deployment and observability standards that empower the broader engineering team to ship AI features faster and more reliably; communicate complex cloud and reliability concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Uphold Security & Compliance:
Ensure our infrastructure and operations meet Garner’s security and HIPAA compliance obligations
The ideal candidate has:
4+ years of hands-on experience operating production cloud infrastructure at scale in an SRE, DevOps, or platform engineering role
Deep expertise with Kubernetes and Terraform in a cloud-first environment (AWS preferred)
A strong track record with production observability: defining SLOs, building monitoring and alerting, and leading incident response and blameless post-incident reviews
Strong software engineering fundamentals in Python or Go, applied to infrastructure automation (experience with Kubernetes APIs a plus)
Experience driving cloud cost-efficiency and performance optimization across compute, storage, and networking
Experience supporting AI/ML or data-intensive workloads in production is a plus
Experience operating in a security-conscious or regulated environment (HIPAA, SOC 2) is a plus
Fluency with AI tools (e.g., Claude) applied to real engineering and operations workflows, or strong motivation to build it fast
A desire to be a part of a high-performing, mission-driven team that operates with intense urgency, a strong sense of individual accountability, and a commitment to authentic feedback
Technologies we use:
AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Istio, Python, Go, TypeScript, Postgres, NATS, Datadog, GitLab
This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing company in a transformative role, helping shape the future of healthcare.
We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.
Compensation Transparency:
The target range for this position is $191,000 - $226,000. Individual compensation for this role will depend on various factors, including qualifications, skills, and applicable laws. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in our equity incentive and competitive benefits plans, including but not limited to: flexible PTO, Medical/Dental/Vision plan options, 401(k) with company match, flexible spending accounts, Teladoc Health and more.

- Willingness to challenge bad detections, weak assumptions, and vanity metrics
- Pragmatic mindset: precision and impact beat coverage theatre
- Experience operating beyond traditional SOC or MSSP models
- Hands-on cloud detection experience (identity, control plane, SaaS)
- Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms and frameworks such as PCI DSS, NIST CSF, SOC 2, ISO27001, CIS Benchmarks, and MITRE ATT&CK for Cloud.

THE ROLE
Checkout.com http://Checkout.com is scaling a multi-cloud environment at pace, and security architecture is central to how we do it safely.
As Senior Cloud Security Engineer, you'll work closely with Engineering, GRC, Technology Risk, and Security Operations to embed security into every design decision and to make sure we can see what's happening across the estate once it's live.
You'll help embed security within the design phase and ongoing operations of our multi-cloud posture, define guardrails and policy-as-code standards, and support the strengthening of our SIEM and detection capability. You'll take on the most complex and ambiguous cloud security challenges in the business, and hold engineers to best practices.
This isn't a tool-monitoring role. You're here to lead security-by-design, set best-practice standards, and raise the bar.
What You'll Be Doing
- Develop and enforce reference security architectures, patterns, and blueprints for secure cloud adoption across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Conduct security assessments for new cloud services, defining preventative and detective controls (via security guardrails) to maintain secure posture and detect drift.
- Partner with Engineering teams to embed security guardrails early in design, ensuring compliance and resilience without adding friction.
- Evaluate engineering and platform architecture proposals, identifying security gaps and seeing remediation through to completion.
- Document and uphold secure-by-design principles and architecture governance, and enforce policy-as-code frameworks aligned with NIST, CIS, and PCI DSS.
- Set the monitoring scope and priorities for CNAPP/CSPM tooling (e.g. Wiz or equivalent), defining which misconfigurations and vulnerabilities matter most against CIS, NIST, and PCI DSS benchmarks, and holding engineering teams accountable to remediation outcomes.
- Work with Security Operations to shape cloud logging and detection requirements, ensuring our SIEM has the right visibility across the estate.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to articulate security risks and mitigations in terms that support business decision-making.
Skills and Experience We're Looking For
We're looking for someone with strong technical expertise and a genuine passion for security. Here's what we need:
- Risk-based decision-making and adherence to regulatory and internal security standards (PCI DSS, NIST, SOC 2, ISO 27001, CIS).
- Broad knowledge across security domains and their capabilities within AWS, Azure, and GCP, with 6+ years' hands-on experience and SME depth in at least one platform.
- Kubernetes (EKS/AKS/GKE), API security, and IaC security (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates).
- Securing user and non-user access at scale, including Azure Policy and cloud-native IAM controls.
- Demonstrated ability to provide clear, security-focused guidance, combined with excellent communication and senior-stakeholder engagement skills, and experience mentoring other engineers.
Nice to Have
- CISSP, CCSP, or equivalent certifications.
- AZ-500, AWS Certified Security, Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer, or equivalent cloud security certification.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Professional Cloud Architect.
- Experience integrating ATT&CK Navigator into SOC workflows.

THE ROLE
You will be a hands-on operator at the heart of the Cyber Security team, helping to run, harden, and continuously improve the day-to-day machinery of security. Where the Detection & Threat Engineer defines what "good" looks like, you help make it real, turning standards, runbooks, and tooling into reliable, repeatable operational practice.
This is a delivery-focused role for an experienced practitioner. You will spend your time in the tooling, in the tickets, and in the detail: enhancing the platforms the team depends on, tightening procedures, and making sure findings, alerts, and remediation work actually get closed out rather than left to drift.
You will partner closely with Senior Detection & Threat Engineers, Application Security, Information Security, Security Operations, and Engineering executing against the standards they set, feeding operational insight back up, and progressively taking ownership of the tooling and procedures that keep security operations running.

About the role
As an Intermediate Backend Engineer, you will take backend features and improvements from clarifying the problem through shipping them and following up in production. You will work within a product area, partnering with Product Management, Frontend, Infrastructure, and Security to deliver predictably and contribute to the quality, security, performance, and maintainability of shared backend code and services. You will be trusted to work with minimal guidance, to know when to seek help, and to communicate clearly in a remote, asynchronous environment — with other tenured engineers alongside you to review your work, think through hard problems with you, and help you grow.
Why you’ll love this role
Ownership:
You'll take features from requirements through delivery and follow-up; your code will run on a platform used by millions of users.
Learning and Growth :
You’ll work alongside your engineering team, who treat code review and design review as a learning loop rather than a gate — one of the fastest ways to grow your engineering judgment.
Innovative Culture:
You’ll use AI as a genuine part of daily engineering work, developing the judgment to know when to trust it and when not to.
Autonomy:
You’ll thrive in our remote-first, asynchronous organization, where clear written communication and self-direction are the pillars of success.
User-Centric Collaboration:
You’ll partner closely with PMs and designers to shape requirements, so you understand why you’re building something, not just what.
What you’ll do
Own and Ship Features:
Design, implement, test, and ship backend features and improvements with minimal guidance, working in Ruby/Rails, Go, or any other modern languages.
Build for Production:
Write maintainable, secure, observable, and performant code. Design and maintain APIs, background jobs, integrations, and bounded service functionality, and work with data models, migrations, indexes, and query behavior.
Test and Review:
Add and improve automated coverage — unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end where appropriate — and review others’ code for correctness, maintainability, security, performance, and operational risk.
Operate What You Build:
Investigate build, test, deployment, and runtime failures at the feature boundary, identify technical debt and propose practical improvements, and take part in on-call or operational support where your team’s ownership model requires it.
Leverage AI:
Use AI productively in daily work, validate what it produces, and understand where its limitations matter.
What you’ll bring
Backend Fundamentals:
Professional experience building and shipping production backend applications, with strong programming, API, database, testing, debugging, and performance fundamentals.
Adaptability:
Experience with Ruby/Rails, Go, or any other modern backend language. We value the ability to learn and adapt over mastery of a single language.
Feature Ownership:
The ability to take a feature from clarification through delivery and follow-up, working independently while seeking input at the right time.
Practical Judgment:
Sound instincts about security, reliability, performance, maintainability, and operational risk, plus an understanding of modular backend boundaries and the consequences of coupling.
Clear Communication:
Strong written communication and effective collaboration in a remote, asynchronous environment.
AI Fluency:
Practical experience with AI coding tools, including the ability to review and correct what they generate.
Helpful experience
Production Go services, APIs, concurrency, profiling, or gRPC.
Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, CI/CD, or cloud deployment.
Rust, particularly for systems, security, performance, or platform work.
PostgreSQL, schema evolution, caching, queues, messaging, or event-driven workflows.
Observability using metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerts.
Contributing to a modular monolith, bounded context, shared component, or independently operated service.

About the role
As a Staff Backend Engineer, you will provide technical leadership across your team and adjacent teams, solving the highest-scope and most complex problems in your area. You will lead large, cross-cutting backend initiatives, drive our modular architecture strategy, and define the standards that let teams move faster without compromising quality, security, reliability, or operability.
This is a technical leadership role that combines deep backend expertise, systems judgment, product judgment, and influence across organizational boundaries. You will work with Product, Frontend, Infrastructure, Security, Data, Engineering Managers, and engineers across product groups, bringing subject matter expertise, and you will do it without relying on formal authority.
Why you’ll love this role
Leverage:
Your work multiplies across teams. The platforms, standards, and architectural decisions you lead determine how quickly everyone else can ship.
Genuinely Hard Problems:
You’ll lead the modernization of a large monolith toward modular, reusable, appropriately independent systems — at the scale of a platform used by millions of users.
Influence Without Bureaucracy:
You’ll shape technical direction across teams through clear written proposals and decision records, and partner with Product and Engineering leadership on platform roadmap and investment trade-offs.
Frontier AI Work:
You’ll lead adoption of AI-assisted and agentic engineering workflows and define the review, quality, security, and privacy guardrails that make them safe to rely on.

We are building AI to simulate the world through merging art and science.
We believe that world models are at the frontier of progress in artificial intelligence. Language models alone won’t solve the world’s hardest problems – robotics, disease, scientific discovery. Real progress requires models that experience the world and learn from their mistakes, the same way that humans do. And this kind of trial and error can be massively accelerated when done in simulation, rather than in the real world.
World models offer the most clear path to general-purpose simulation, changing how stories are told, how scientific progress is made and how the next frontiers of humanity are reached.
Our team consists of creative, open minded, caring and ambitious people who are determined to change the world. We aspire to continuously build impossible things and our ability to do so relies on building an incredible team. If you are driven to do the same, we'd love to hear from you.
*Titles posted to our careers page are updated regularly to best advertise the role and expected seniority, but internally we have a flat titling system with two types of titles: one for individual contributors and one for people managers.

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
Anthropic is seeking Software Engineers to join our Observability team within the Infrastructure organization. The Observability team owns the monitoring and telemetry infrastructure that every engineer and researcher at Anthropic depends on—from metrics and logging pipelines to distributed tracing, profiling, error analytics, alerting, and the dashboards and query interfaces that make it all actionable. By joining this team, you'll have a direct impact on the reliability and operational excellence of Anthropic's research and product systems.
As Anthropic scales its infrastructure across massive GPU, TPU, and Trainium clusters, the volume and complexity of operational data is growing by orders of magnitude—and an increasing share of the hardest problems live below the application layer. We're building next-generation observability systems—high-throughput telemetry pipelines, fleet-wide continuous profiling, eBPF-based tracing and network visibility, and agentic diagnostic tools—so engineers can detect, diagnose, and resolve issues in minutes rather than hours, even when the answer lies in the kernel, the network stack, or an accelerator rather than on a dashboard.
Key responsibilities
Design and build scalable telemetry ingest and storage pipelines for metrics, logs, traces, and error data across Anthropic's multi-cluster infrastructure
Build observability solutions that give engineers deep, low-overhead visibility into system behavior across the fleet
Own and evolve core observability platforms, driving migrations and architectural improvements that improve reliability, reduce cost, and scale with organizational growth
Build instrumentation libraries, SDKs, and eBPF-based auto-instrumentation to emit high-quality telemetry, with and without code changes
Reduce mean time to detection and resolution by building cross-signal correlation—from kernel-level events up to application traces—unified query interfaces, and AI-assisted diagnostic tooling
Drive fleet-wide efficiency by turning continuous profiling and utilization telemetry into actionable optimization insights across CPU, memory, and accelerator fleets
Partner with Research, Inference, Product, and Infrastructure teams to ensure observability solutions meet the unique needs of each organization
Minimum qualifications
Have hands-on experience building and operating large-scale observability or monitoring infrastructure
Have deep, hands-on experience with observability signals end to end—from instrumentation through ingest to query and analysis
Understand high-throughput telemetry pipelines and the tradeoffs involved in collecting, storing, and querying operational data at scale
Are comfortable digging below the application layer into the kernel, the network stack, or the hardware
Have excellent communication skills and enjoy partnering with internal teams to improve their operational visibility and incident response capabilities
Are excited about building foundational infrastructure and comfortable navigating ambiguous, high-impact technical challenges, both independently and with a team
Preferred qualifications
10+ years of relevant industry experience, including building and operating large-scale observability or monitoring infrastructure
Experience building or operating eBPF-based observability in production—tracing, profiling, or network visibility
Experience running continuous profiling at fleet scale, including managing overhead budgets and symbolization
Kernel- and syscall-level debugging experience and performance engineering craft
Experience profiling or instrumenting accelerator workloads
Experience operating metrics systems at very high cardinality, or large-scale telemetry storage backends
Experience with OpenTelemetry instrumentation, collector pipelines, and tail-based sampling strategies
Interest in applying AI/LLMs to operational workflows such as automated root cause analysis, anomaly detection, or intelligent alerting

Location-based hybrid policy:
Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
Visa sponsorship:
We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification.
Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.
Your safety matters to us.
To protect yourself from potential scams, remember that Anthropic recruiters only contact you from @anthropic.com email addresses. In some cases, we may partner with vetted recruiting agencies who will identify themselves as working on behalf of Anthropic. Be cautious of emails from other domains. anthropic.com/careers
directly for confirmed position openings.
How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.
