An overview of this role As a Senior Backend Engineer, Performance Enablement, you'll make performance testing and analysis easier for engineering teams to adopt and own. You'll build platforms, tooling, guidance, and artificial intelligence-assisted workflows that help teams identify performance risks during development and before they roll changes out to production. We're moving from a hands-on consulting model to a self-service model. Service teams own their performance tests, analysis, thresholds, and evidence. We provide the paved road, documentation, skills, and expert support for challenging problems and new capabilities. This is a backend and platform engineering role with room to grow in scope and influence. You'll help shape how Performance Enablement supports engineering teams, using artificial intelligence thoughtfully to accelerate design, implementation, testing, debugging, documentation, and automation. You'll support work such as: Enabling modular feature teams, including Orbit and Artifact Registry, to run performance testing through their own development and continuous integration workflows Building reusable performance tooling, including component-level testing, load testing, performance analysis, and artificial intelligence-assisted engineering skills Improving performance results, reporting, and trend visibility so teams can make informed decisions from their own evidence Establishing the documentation, templates, and guidance needed to expand self-service adoption across research and development What you’ll do Build and evolve reusable backend platforms and tooling for performance testing and analysis. Create self-service workflows, documentation, templates, diagnostics, and artificial intelligence skills that reduce the need for bespoke support. Use development practices that apply artificial intelligence to accelerate implementation, testing, debugging, and technical documentation. Influence engineering teams to make performance testing part of normal development and release preparation. Turn early hands-on engagements into generalized capabilities that many teams can adopt independently. Provide technical expertise for difficult performance questions, tooling enhancements, and new platform capabilities. What you’ll bring Experience building backend or platform software. Experience building internal platforms or developer-facing tooling. Experience partnering with development teams to improve their day-to-day workflows. Experience using development practices that apply artificial intelligence across the software lifecycle. Experience with software performance, such as performance analysis, optimization, benchmarking, or leading performance-related improvements. Practical experience with Kubernetes, k6, and Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, or similar cloud infrastructure. Experience building durable solutions that support broad adoption using systems thinking. Communicate clearly in writing and influence teams without direct authority. About the team Performance Enablement is part of Platform Enablement within Developer Experience and Infrastructure Platforms. We help GitLab teams make performance part of the software lifecycle. Our goal is to make performance a shared responsibility of service-owning teams while providing a strong platform and center of expertise when teams need help. We work asynchronously, collaborate broadly across research and development, and focus on building capabilities that scale beyond individual team engagements. Building the Future of Open Finance Payward - the parent company behind Kraken, NinjaTrader, Breakout, xStocks, Payward Services and CF Benchmarks - has spent the last 15 years building one of the most modern and globally accessible financial infrastructure platforms in the industry, built to advance an open, global financial system. Before you apply, we encourage you to explore our culture page to understand what drives us and how we work. The team Founded in 2011, Kraken is one of the world's longest-standing crypto platforms, trusted by over 10 million individuals and institutions across the globe. It offers spot trading, margin, futures, staking, and OTC services, with products built for both individual investors and institutional clients. The Consumer Mobile team builds the Kraken app, the interface millions of people use to interact with their money. We work primarily in React Native, building products that make complex financial experiences intuitive, fast and trustworthy. We're a product-minded engineering team. Our engineers don't just implement requirements: they work closely with Product and Design to understand the problem behind them, challenge assumptions, shape solutions and measure whether what we ship actually improves the experience for our clients. The opportunity - We're looking for a Senior React Native Engineer who thinks like a product builder. - You'll work across engineering, product and design to turn real client problems into thoughtful mobile experiences, comfortable starting with an ambiguous problem rather than a perfectly defined specification. - You'll own features end-to-end, from understanding the problem and shaping the solution through implementation, launch and iteration, using data and client feedback to drive improvements. - You'll build high-quality experiences in React Native across a financial product where responsiveness, reliability and trust matter, whether improving product discovery, creating trading experiences, or simplifying journeys. - You'll partner closely with Product and Design, contributing engineering perspectives early in the product-development process rather than waiting for finished requirements. - You'll work with APIs and real-time data to create responsive, data-rich mobile experiences, making thoughtful decisions around state management, rendering, performance and architecture. - You'll operate with the ownership and versatility of a product engineer, comfortable wearing multiple hats and moving between product problems and technical challenges. - You'll help raise the product-engineering bar across Consumer Mobile through technical discussions, code reviews, collaboration and by demonstrating strong product ownership. What you bring - Strong React Native experience. You've built and shipped meaningful production applications using React Native and are comfortable making architectural and implementation decisions across a modern mobile codebase. - A product-building mindset with strong product judgment. You start with the client problem rather than the ticket, understand what we're actually trying to solve, know when to challenge requirements or simplify solutions, and work with Product and Design to turn ambiguous requirements into strong engineering solutions. - Evidence of product impact. You can explain not only what you've built, but why you built it and what happened afterwards. You're comfortable using metrics, experimentation and client behaviour to evaluate the impact of your work. - End-to-end ownership. You're comfortable working across the lifecycle of a feature: discovery, technical design, implementation, launch, measurement and iteration. - Comfort with data-rich applications. You've worked with APIs and dynamic or real-time data and understand the engineering considerations involved in turning that data into responsive client experiences. - Close collaboration with Product and Design. You enjoy working directly with designers and product managers, see building great products as a shared responsibility, and communicate effectively in written and verbal English across a globally distributed team. - Versatility and AI proficiency. You're comfortable moving beyond a narrowly defined engineering remit, use AI tools (Cursor, Copilot, Claude, etc.) thoughtfully to move faster while retaining ownership of engineering decisions and quality, and thrive in environments where you wear multiple hats. - A track record of taking loosely defined product problems and turning them into features or products that delivered measurable client impact. Nice to have - Experience building products in fintech, trading, crypto, payments or another financial technology environment. - An understanding of how trading, investing or financial products work and an interest in the problems our clients are trying to solve. - Experience with real-time or streaming data and building interfaces where information changes rapidly. - Experience working across both mobile and web, bringing valuable perspective from broader frontend or product-engineering work. - Experience in a startup or small-to-medium-sized technology company where engineers work closely with Product and Design. - Native mobile experience in Swift or Kotlin and an understanding of when dropping below the React Native layer is the right engineering decision. - Experience improving application performance, responsiveness and reliability across a range of mobile devices. - A background in taking loosely defined product problems and turning them into products or features with measurable client impact. Unless a specific application deadline is stated in the job posting, applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Please note, applicants are permitted to redact or remove information on their resume that identifies age, date of birth, or dates of attendance at or graduation from an educational institution. We consider qualified applicants with criminal histories for employment on our team, assessing candidates in a manner consistent with the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance. OUR COMMITMENT Payward is powered by people from around the world and we celebrate the diverse talents, backgrounds, contributions, and unique perspectives that everyone brings to the table. We hire based on merit, seeking out people with the right abilities, knowledge, and skills for the job. We encourage you to apply for roles where you don't fully meet the listed requirements, especially if you're passionate or knowledgeable about crypto. We may ask candidates to complete job-related skills or work-style assessments as part of our hiring process. These assessments evaluate competencies relevant to the role and are applied consistently across candidates for similar positions. Results are considered alongside experience and interviews, and are not the sole basis for any employment decision. Location: Spain; Romania; Hungary; Portugal; Slovakia; Brazil; Poland; Colombia; Mexico Workplace: Remote ✨ ONE PLATFORM, A WHOLE WORLD OF OPPORTUNITY The best jobs have always clustered in a handful of the world's wealthiest cities. But talent is everywhere. Oyster set out to close that gap - building a global employment platform that lets companies hire, pay, and care for brilliant people anywhere. We're proof that a high-performing culture doesn't need an office. Distributed across 60+ countries since 2020, we've built something the industry keeps noticing: - Ranked #10 of 250 on TIME and Statista's 2026 list of America's Top WorkTech Companies https://www.oysterhr.com/library/oyster-hr-named-10-of-americas-top-worktech-companies-of-2026-by-time - Named one of America's Greatest Startup Workplaces 2026 https://www.oysterhr.com/library/oyster-2026-newsweek-award by Newsweek - A G2 Spring 2026 Leader https://www.oysterhr.com/library/oyster-named-best-roi-for-any-global-employment-platform-for-g2-spring-2026 across Employer of Record, Global Employment, Multi-country Payroll, and HR Compliance - The only B Corp-certified global employment platform ~ independently verified since 2023 Two of those rankings measured our business impact from the outside. One measured how our own people feel about working here. They landed in the same place ~ because at Oyster, culture and performance aren't separate conversations. They're the same one. And we're just getting started. If you want to do the best work of your career alongside people who care as much as you do, we'd love for you to apply. Location: Fully remote. To create the best experience for you and to meet our business needs, this role requires you to be based either within EMEA or Americas. As a GTM Engineer you'll be the technical operator behind Oyster's revenue engine. You'll build, connect, and automate the software systems that drive pipeline. Turning high-level commercial strategy into workflows that run reliably, without anyone even touching them. Sitting in Revenue Operations, you'll work alongside GTM Teams. Our GTM stack spans a CRM, enrichment and data providers, outbound tooling, our marketing automation platform, the data warehouse, and Oyster's own product APIs. Your job is to make that a coherent system rather than a pile of disconnected tools: clean data flowing to the right place, leads scored and routed in seconds, and reps working from information they can trust. AI is a key part of the toolkit - you'll use it across the end-to-end funnel to automate and boost workflows, for things like prospect research at volume, personalisation, and buying-signal detection. Where a traditional ops hire would build a rules-based scoring model, you'll build an agent that reads a prospect's careers page, funding history, and hiring footprint and hands a rep a research brief worth acting on. The foundation is a strong combination of commercial processes, systems and data - that's where the work lives. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES - Design the architecture of the GTM stack: CRM objects and fields, lifecycle stages, territory and routing logic, sync patterns between systems, and the contracts between them. - Integrate systems end to end: CRM (Salesforce), enrichment providers (Clay, Zoominfo), outbound and sequencing platforms (Nooks, Salesloft), marketing automation (Hubspot), the data warehouse, and Oyster's product APIs (using APIs, webhooks, and scripts rather than waiting for a native connector) - Ship AI-driven GTM workflows - prompt chains, agents, and signal-detection pipelines that automate prospect research, personalised outreach, and real-time buying-signal alerts and more. - Optimise our commercial processes. It’s not only about installing Tech & AI, it is also about taking ownership and evolving the ways we generate revenue. - Build automated data waterfalls that pull, clean, deduplicate, and route prospect and account data into the CRM, so reps work from data they can trust. - Work in a system that's already live. Reverse-engineer existing processes and the reasoning behind them, identify what to keep versus replace, and land changes through a migration plan that keeps pipeline, reporting, and day-to-day selling intact throughout. - Instrument what you build: define the metric each workflow is supposed to move, measure it, and evaluate output quality so automations stay trustworthy as they scale. - Keep the stack maintainable and compliant - sensible data handling, monitoring and alerting on the pipelines or agents you build, documented workflows, and no single points of failure that live only in your head. - Partner with GTM to translate commercial goals into technical solutions, and be honest about which ideas are worth building. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - 5+ years in a GTM engineering, Revenue operations, growth engineering, or marketing/sales engineering role, or a software engineering background you've deliberately pointed at revenue problems. - Clear, proven examples of solutions you've implemented that drove measurable pipeline impact. We'll ask you to walk us through them: what you built, why, and what moved as a result. Specifics matter more than scale - Deep, hands-on knowledge of the modern GTM stack. You've architected a CRM rather than just administered one: navigating existing processes to own the re-configuration of objects and fields, lifecycle stages, routing and territory logic, and the sync patterns that keep multiple systems consistent. Salesforce or HubSpot, plus enrichment providers, outbound and sequencing tools, marketing automation, and platforms such as Clay. - You build custom integrations, and can wire up a tool nobody at the company has used before from the docs alone. - Experience owning production workflows: error handling, retries, idempotency, monitoring, and alerting. - Working experience using AI/LLMs in a GTM or automation context - prompt and context engineering, and strong judgement to know where a model beats a rule and where it doesn't - Commercial instinct. You understand funnel mechanics, conversion rates, and unit economics well enough to spot which automation is worth building and which is a distraction - A bias toward shipping. You prototype quickly, put things in front of real users, and iterate rather than designing in the abstract. Location: Helsinki, Finland; Stockholm, Sweden; Tallinn, Estonia About Wolt At Wolt, we create technology that brings joy, simplicity and earnings to the neighborhoods of the world. In 2014 we started with delivery of restaurant food. Now we’re building the delivery of (almost) everything and you’ll find us in over 500 cities in 30 countries around the world. In 2022 we joined forces with DoorDash and together we keep on dreaming big and expanding across the globe. Working at Wolt isn’t always easy, but it’s definitely exciting. Here you’ll learn more, build more, and ship more than in most other companies. You’ll be challenged a lot, but also have a lot of fun on the way. So, if you’re a self-starter with drive and entrepreneurial spirit, this could be the ride of your life. New Verticals is everything our customers buy that isn't a restaurant meal: groceries, pharmacy, electronics, the shop on the corner. It's one of the company's growth engines and still largely unsolved as a product problem - a forty-item grocery basket is nothing like ordering dinner. As a Senior Mobile Engineer, iOS - you'll join New Verticals EMEA, the group accountable for that mission across Wolt and Deliveroo in 30+ countries, organised as five teams. Your home team owns quality and cost: making sure customers actually get what they ordered, at a sensible cost of getting a basket to their door. Substitutions, unavailable items, order accuracy - invisible when it works, infuriating when it doesn't. You won't only work there: mobile expertise is in demand across all five teams, and part of the role is going where the iOS work is. This role is primarily focused on native iOS development. Experience across both iOS and Android, as well as backend development, is a strong plus. What you’ll be doing Building, improving and maintaining native iOS features for customer-facing journeys within our shared consumer apps. Partnering closely with product, design and engineering colleagues to turn customer and business needs into simple, reliable and scalable mobile experiences. Contributing to the design, implementation, launch and ongoing ownership of meaningful product initiatives. Working with our server-driven UI (SDUI) approach to build configurable, component-based views that allow teams to move quickly while maintaining a coherent customer experience. Making thoughtful technical decisions around architecture, testing, performance, observability, release processes and maintainability. Collaborating with engineers across teams that own different parts of the same app, helping ensure integrations and shared patterns work well together. Supporting and mentoring full-stack engineers who are developing their mobile expertise, and helping raise the bar for mobile implementation practices across the team. Using AI-enabled tools pragmatically to improve engineering productivity, while applying strong judgment around quality, security and validation. What we’re looking for Strong experience building and shipping high-quality native iOS applications, with a solid understanding of modern iOS development practices. Experience working on large-scale, consumer-facing mobile applications, ideally in an environment where several teams contribute to the same app. Good knowledge of mobile architecture, testing, performance optimisation, observability, modularity, CI/CD and App Store release processes. Experience collaborating closely with product and design partners to solve customer problems, not only implement specifications. A pragmatic, product-minded approach: able to balance quality, speed and long-term maintainability. Comfort working in an evolving environment, breaking down ambiguous problems and contributing to clear, practical solutions. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain technical trade-offs clearly. Experience supporting, mentoring or enabling other engineers, particularly those growing their mobile development skills. Practical experience using AI as part of your engineering toolkit, with good instincts for validation and quality. Experience with Android development and/or backend engineering is a strong plus. The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on a number of job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. This position would be eligible for consideration for an equity award grant of restricted stock units on commence and during the annual pay review cycle. Upon commencement of employment, you would be eligible to be considered for a grant. Thereafter, any further grants would be at the Company's discretion. Pay Range: €5.722 — €7.152 EUR Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion We’re committed to growing and empowering a more inclusive community within our company, industry, and cities. That’s why we hire and cultivate diverse teams of people from all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. We believe that true innovation happens when everyone has room at the table and the tools, resources, and opportunity to excel. Beware of recruitment scams: DoorDash, Deliveroo, and Wolt will never ask you to pay money or share sensitive financial information during hiring — learn more about our legitimate recruiting process at Recruitment Scam Awareness - DoorDash .
