We are building AI to simulate the world through merging art and science.
We believe that world models are at the frontier of progress in artificial intelligence. Language models alone won’t solve the world’s hardest problems – robotics, disease, scientific discovery. Real progress requires models that experience the world and learn from their mistakes, the same way that humans do. And this kind of trial and error can be massively accelerated when done in simulation, rather than in the real world.
World models offer the most clear path to general-purpose simulation, changing how stories are told, how scientific progress is made and how the next frontiers of humanity are reached.
Our team consists of creative, open minded, caring and ambitious people who are determined to change the world. We aspire to continuously build impossible things and our ability to do so relies on building an incredible team. If you are driven to do the same, we'd love to hear from you.
*Titles posted to our careers page are updated regularly to best advertise the role and expected seniority, but internally we have a flat titling system with two types of titles: one for individual contributors and one for people managers.
WHY THIS MATTERS
Runway is building AI to simulate the world. We think world models, not language models alone, are the path to general-purpose simulation: systems that experience the world, learn from their mistakes, and change how stories get told, how science gets done, and how the next frontiers of humanity are reached.
Applied AI is where that research meets a customer with a deadline. Every one of the world's largest studios, brands, and platforms hits a moment where Runway stops being a demo and becomes the way they actually make things. Our team exists for that moment, and we organize around one question: what's blocking this customer from production, and how do we remove it?
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a role for people who want to own a problem, not an account. You'll sit with the biggest studios, brands, and Fortune 100 companies in the world, figure out what's actually standing between them and production, and build whatever removes it. Some weeks that's a workflow. Some weeks it's a plugin or an integration nobody has written yet. Some weeks it's getting a room of executives to make a decision they've been putting off.
Your work will be on screen: Emmy-winning shows, Oscar-winning films, Super Bowl commercials, the stuff people actually watch. And the things you build for one customer tend to become product for all of them. Our team's first Shopify plugin started as a customer blocker and was in engineering's hands within a few weeks. We treat this team as R&D for that reason, not as a cost center.
We have offices in NYC, San Francisco, Seattle, and London.
NO TWO WEEKS ARE THE SAME, BUT YOU CAN EXPECT TO:
- Find the real problem: sit with the creative, technical, and executive teams at a customer, map how they actually work, and locate the blocker between them and production. Usually it's one of three things: a missing integration, an unproven pipeline, or a stakeholder who isn't convinced yet.
- Build the first of its kind: the demo that shows a studio head or a Fortune 100 CMO something nobody has shown them before. Working proofs of concept on the customer's own brand, footage, or catalog, often built in a day or two before the meeting, and the best of them become product for everyone.
- Make it reusable: turn the one-off that unblocked one customer into the workflow, plugin, or integration the next ten customers start from.
- Run the evaluation: own evaluation plans end to end, guide managed trials, build tailored demos on the customer's own footage and brand, and carry the technical side of deal cycles with AEs.
- Scope deployments that land: 4–12 week engagements with customer-defined success criteria, a hands-on builder and an executive sponsor on their side from day one, and enough discipline to keep them on scope when the asks start piling up.
- Get customers to production fast: take new technical and non-technical customers from signed contract to first production call in days rather than quarters, grow API-only accounts into Platform + API, and fix the onboarding so the support tickets stop coming.
- Present to anyone: walk an analyst through a pipeline in the morning and a studio head through a production plan in the afternoon.
- Bring the field back to the product: embed with Product, Engineering, and Creative to turn what you saw at the customer into roadmap. Every repeat ask is a product requirement, not a patch.
- Measure what the customer measures: time to production, usage before and after a project, what they shipped because you were there. We track our own numbers in Salesforce and the warehouse; you'll own yours.
WHAT WE VALUE
- People who aren't satisfied with surface-level answers and will go into the data, the code, and the room to find the real one
- Low ego: the customer's outcome matters more than who gets the credit
- Comfort with open-ended problems in unstructured environments, and the instinct to create structure instead of waiting for it
- Builders who would rather prototype than debate, and who keep iterating with the customer until it actually works
- Adaptive and introspective: willing to learn, guide, lead, and follow
WHAT WE NEED
- You build things that run in production. Python or TypeScript, APIs, integrations, and data pipelines. Whether you write the code yourself or with coding agents, you can read it, debug it when it breaks, and explain line by line why it's built that way, including to a customer's engineering team. You've shipped something a customer actually ran: a workflow, an integration, a plugin, or an internal tool.
- You've deployed AI or ML systems and integrations inside complex organizations and can point to the outcome, not just the delivery
- You can hold a room of executives and a room of engineers, and translate between the two. Some of those rooms are at the customer, so expect some travel.
- Nice to have: data tooling (SQL, BigQuery, Retool), or experience in media, entertainment, or advertising production

Who we are
Action1 is an autonomous patch management platform trusted by many Fortune 500 companies. Cloud-native, infinitely scalable, highly secure, and configurable in 5 minutes - it just works and is always free for the first 200 endpoints, with no functional limits. By pioneering autonomous OS and third-party patching with peer-to-peer patch distribution and real-time vulnerability assessment and remediation without needing a VPN, it eliminates routine labor, preempts ransomware and security risks, and protects the digital employee experience.
In 2026, Action1 was recognized by Inc. 5000 as the fastest-growing founder-led cybersecurity company in America. At the helm of Action1 are industry veterans Alex Vovk and Mike Walters, American entrepreneurs who founded Netwrix, which has grown into a multi-billion-dollar industry-leading cybersecurity company.
The Role
We are looking for a Product & Web Designer to shape the user experience of Action1's SaaS platform and help make complex IT management workflows simple, intuitive, and efficient.
Your primary focus will be designing product interfaces, improving usability, and building consistent design patterns across our platform. You'll work closely with Product Managers and R&D teams to turn product requirements and user needs into practical, well-designed solutions.
This is a hands-on role with real ownership. We value designers who think beyond visual appearance, understand how users interact with software, and are comfortable proposing solutions rather than simply following instructions.
Alongside product design, you may occasionally support web, HR, and marketing initiatives with visual design work.
What you'll do
Design intuitive user interfaces for Action1's SaaS platform.
Create user flows, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes.
Improve usability and simplify complex product workflows.
Refine product interfaces based on user feedback, usability insights, and technical constraints.
Occasionally create visuals for websites, HR initiatives, and marketing materials.
What we're looking for
2+ years of professional experience in UI/UX or product design, preferably for SaaS or web applications.
Strong UI/UX skills, including interaction design, user flows, information architecture, and visual design.
Hands-on experience using AI-powered design tools and solutions to accelerate workflows, explore ideas, and improve design outcomes.
Nice to have
Experience designing complex B2B SaaS products, dashboards, or administrative interfaces.
Experience with user research, usability testing, and data-informed design decisions.
Understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and WCAG principles.
Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and frontend development constraints.
Familiarity with IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, or endpoint management products.
Please include a portfolio demonstrating your product design work. We especially value examples showing the problem, your design approach, and the final solution.
Benefits
Fully remote work with flexibility to support your work-life balance.
A collaborative environment that empowers you to own your domain and implement best practices.
Stable income, benefits, flexible working hours, and opportunities for career advancement.
Friendly, professional colleagues who are eager to support you and help you grow.
Engaging challenges and opportunities to make a meaningful impact.

WHOOP is building a deeply technical IT organization and is looking to add a Systems Engineer II focused on endpoint engineering. As WHOOP evolves from a consumer tech company into a personal health company, it is mission-critical to secure our fleet of endpoints while also enabling a frictionless employee experience. Doing both of those things well requires deep technical expertise, creativity, and a remarkably high bar for the quality of experience you’ll push onto your colleagues.
We need this role to work across both Mac and Windows ecosystems. Applicants should have top quartile expertise in at least one ecosystem.
As a member of a growing and highly dynamic team, candidates must be ready and excited to take on significant responsibility, embrace ambiguity, and help define what world-class IT Security capabilities look like at WHOOP.
This role will collaborate closely with Security, Risk & Compliance, Software and Hardware Engineering, Business Systems, IT, and more. This is a high-impact role with a broad scope, and we have a mountain of work to accomplish. We want to attract someone who is motivated by the challenge and energized to solve tricky problems with the best tools available.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage our Mac and Windows fleets end-to-end
- Craft a frictionless device lifecycle from unboxing to disposition
- Implement and manage robust security policies in line with strict HIPAA standards
- Manage the endpoint components of our enterprise AI security strategy
- Manage the way we patch endpoint vulnerabilities in line with our committed SLAs
- Engineer processes to do the things above in a way that minimizes employee friction and workflow disruption
- Mentor colleagues to develop their endpoint skills & capabilities
- Eliminate root causes of IT support tickets and manual IT toil
- Contribute meaningfully in helping us build AI-first IT operations
- Develop monitoring, observability, and reporting capabilities
- Communicate proactively and clearly with employees and business partners, ensuring alignment and transparency around our plans and the trade-offs we’re making
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience working on technically innovative systems and processes from the ground up
- Strong engineering and programming skills to enable automation and custom solutions
- Hands-on administration experience with MDMs
- Experience managing large fleets of computers and other corporate-owned devices
- Experience contributing to large-scale implementations and/or migrations of critical IT systems
- Experience developing AI solutions to improve productivity or employee experience
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Strong judgment in prioritization and solution design, balancing impact and maintenance costs
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in a rapidly changing environment
- A demonstrated employee-first mindset, actively listening and engaging with users and making their lives better
This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.
Interested in the role, but don’t meet every qualification? We encourage you to still apply! The WHOOP compensation philosophy is designed to attract, motivate, and retain exceptional talent by offering competitive base salaries, meaningful equity, and consistent pay practices that reflect our mission and core values.
At WHOOP, we view total compensation as the combination of base salary, equity, and benefits, with equity serving as a key differentiator that aligns our employees with the long-term success of the company and allows every member of our corporate team to own part of WHOOP and share in the company’s long-term growth and success.
The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $125,000-$175,000. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within each range, individual pay is based on factors such as job-related skills, experience, performance, and relevant education or training.
In addition to the base salary, the successful candidate will also receive benefits and a generous equity package.
These ranges may be modified in the future to reflect evolving market conditions and organizational needs.
