About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
Our Strategic Deals team originates, structures, negotiates, and closes the deals that secure the compute Anthropic uses to train and serve frontier AI systems. We work closely with engineering, infrastructure, finance, legal, product, and go-to-market teams to expand Anthropic's access to cloud capacity, silicon, networking, and the financing behind them.
We are hiring several Strategic Deals Leads focused on compute and infrastructure. In this role, you will source opportunities, design partnerships, and negotiate high-value agreements with some of the world's largest technology companies, and you will connect deal terms to structured finance solutions. Your work will directly shape how quickly and reliably Anthropic can bring new compute online.
Each hire will bring deep expertise in one or more of these areas while working across the broader infrastructure stack:
Cloud compute:
building and running a pipeline of capacity across established and emerging cloud providers, and structuring the financing that connects capacity commitments to their economics.
Compute infrastructure:
going deep into the silicon supply chain, structuring co-development and early-access deals with semiconductor and emerging hardware companies, and securing networking, backbone, and memory supply.
Compute partnerships:
owning multi-year partnerships with the largest cloud providers, where compute commitments, financing structures, model availability on partner platforms, marketplace and co-sell arrangements, and pricing and revenue-share constructs are negotiated together.
Key responsibilities
Own deals end to end in your focus area, from opportunity identification and term sheet development through diligence, negotiation, internal approval, close, and post-close execution
Lead negotiations for complex, high-value agreements with hyperscalers and other cloud providers, semiconductor and hardware suppliers, networking and memory vendors, data center operators, and emerging infrastructure companies
Bring capital markets and financing thinking to every transaction, including vendor financing, equipment leasing, capacity prepayments, project finance, and credit and residual value guarantees
Build financial models, term analyses, and commercial frameworks that compare supply options and give leadership a clear view of value, tradeoffs, and risk-adjusted outcomes
Partner with engineering and infrastructure teams to understand future workload requirements and translate them into long-term supply strategies and commercially viable deal terms
Build and own senior relationships with commercial, finance, product, and legal counterparts across the AI infrastructure ecosystem
Drive internal alignment with legal, finance, engineering, product, and go-to-market teams on deal terms, risk parameters, and the approval path for large commitments
Track market, technology, competitive, and financing developments across AI infrastructure, including supply constraints, and turn them into clear recommendations for senior leadership
Represent Anthropic externally with corporate executives, investment banks, and infrastructure investors involved in our transactions
Minimum qualifications
A track record of originating, structuring, negotiating, and closing complex, high-value technology, infrastructure, or capacity transactions as the principal and lead negotiator (not in a supporting or advisory capacity) and the ability to operate independently from day one
Transactional experience in at least one focus area: cloud capacity or data center transactions, semiconductor and hardware supply (accelerators, CPU, memory, or networking, including backbone), or hyperscaler and cloud partnerships
Working knowledge of how large infrastructure commitments are financed, such as vendor financing, take-or-pay obligations, equipment leasing, or project finance, and the ability to shape financing terms alongside commercial terms
Financial modeling skills to build and pressure-test the economics of large infrastructure transactions
Experience developing term sheets and negotiating definitive agreements alongside legal counsel
Ability to work with technical teams and translate engineering requirements into deal structures, contract terms, and strategic business recommendations
Experience negotiating agreements that combine infrastructure or capacity terms with commercial, product, or go-to-market terms, and an understanding of how those components interact
Experience building partnerships and influencing senior stakeholders across internal and external organizations, including executive leadership
Preferred qualifications
8–10+ years of experience in strategic deals, corporate development, partnerships, investment banking, or business development at technology companies, hyperscalers, cloud providers, or financial institutions, with direct transactional ownership
Direct experience working with or inside a hyperscaler on AI or cloud partnerships, including familiarity with model gardens, marketplaces, co-sell programs, and partner economics
Experience managing multiple high-value transactions simultaneously at different stages of maturity and commercial development
Comfort operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments where market structures, provider economics, and partnership norms are still evolving
A genuine interest in the future of AI infrastructure and in Anthropic's mission of building safe, beneficial AI

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

Location: Espoo
Workplace: Hybrid
ROLE HIGHLIGHTS:
- Staff Engineer - Satellite Communications
- Location: Espoo, Finland
- Department: Fleet Control and Satellite Communications
- Reports to: Director, Fleet Control and Satellite Communications
- Employment type: Permanent
- Workplace model: Hybrid. 3 days a week at the office
- Employment is subject to applicable security screening (incl. SUPO, where required)
WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS:
As a Staff Engineer in Satellite Communications, you will own the satellite-to-ground link, the core communications protocols, and the end-to-end transmission of data from ground stations to customers. Trend is that our constellation produces an increasing volume of data and we want it down faster and more reliably. As we scale, the communications link sets the limit on what we deliver and how fast customers receive it.
You'll own the end-to-end communication stack: the satellite-to-ground link (X-band, Ka-band and S-band), the underlying protocols used, and the transmission of data from ground stations to customers. Today these decisions are spread across several teams. This role brings them under one technical owner.
The work sits where software meets physics. On one side are link budgets, modulation and coding, and spectrum constraints; on the other are schedulers, distributed systems and production operations. The hardest problems live where the two meet.
You own what you build, from design to production, across a stack that combines cloud, on-prem and real hardware. Our engineering culture is AI-positive, with active use of copilots and LLMs to improve speed, code quality and productivity.
WHO WE ARE
ICEYE is the world leader in sovereign intelligence from space. We deliver persistent monitoring capabilities to detect and respond to changes in any location on Earth.
ICEYE owns the world's largest and most advanced SAR (synthetic aperture radar) satellite constellation. To our customers we provide intelligence with unmatched quality, latency and revisit times, in any weather, day or night. To governments who choose to operate their own constellation we provide this proven capability as a sovereign system.
ICEYE-built constellations serve customers in defence and intelligence, environmental monitoring, insurance and emergency management. We enable fast decisions that contribute to a safer future.
Founded and headquartered in Finland, ICEYE operates globally with over 1000 employees across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the architecture of the satellite-to-ground link acrossX-band and Ka-band payload downlink and S-band command and control
- Measure what the constellation delivers against its theoretical capacity, and lead the work that closes the gap
- Design how data moves from ground station to customer, including latency tiers and delivery accounting
- Build alongside software engineers, contributing code and reviews, not only architecture documents
- Lead technical initiatives across team boundaries and align teams on link and data path decisions
- Grow satellite communications expertise across the domain through mentoring, design reviews and shared standards
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
MUST HAVES:
- Communications engineering on at least one flown mission, including personally diagnosing an anomaly on a live satellite.
- High-rate payload downlink experience in X-band or Ka-band, beyond S-band command and control
- Ability to build and defend a link budget: EIRP, G/T, Eb/N0, margin, rain fade, elevation constraints
- Practical CCSDS knowledge: transfer frames, virtual channels, synchronisation and channel coding, file delivery
- Experience owning how data moves from a ground station to where it is consumed, with latency and completeness guarantees
- Hands-on coding in Python, Go, C++ or similar; you ship code, not just designs.
NICE TO HAVES:
- Active use of AI-assisted development tools (e.g., copilots, LLMs) to improve productivity, code quality, and problem-solving
- Fleet-scale contact planning and scheduling across commercial ground station networks, especially leased third-party capacity
- DVB-S2/S2X with adaptive coding and modulation
- Delay-tolerant networking, or other store-and-forward file delivery with completeness accounting
- SDR and DSP work: GNU Radio, FPGA or RFSoC, including personal or open-source projects
- Awareness of spectrum regulation and coordination. We have a separate spectrum licensing team, so this is a plus rather than a requirement
APPLICATION PROCESS
- TA Partner Screen Call (30 min)
- Hiring Manager Interview (90 min)
- Technical Interview (120 min)
- Values and Fit Interview (60 min)
- Final interview with SVP of Engineering (60min)

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
Every dollar Anthropic earns and every dollar it spends on compute has to reach the books correctly, and the volume grows with Claude usage. That data comes from across the company and from partners: usage and billing, compute, infrastructure assets, leases. Products and pricing models keep launching, and each one adds another path into the books. Our goal is a continuous close with zero material issues, with audit-grade controls.
You’ll build the platform that gets us there: one front door for every finance event, an append-only ledger, and an accounting engine that posts each event exactly once. This is a distributed systems problem with an unusually high correctness bar. The system has to be right to the cent, replay cleanly and explain any number as of any date, at that volume. You will shape its architecture. Its users include Claude agents, which read and write through the same APIs and controls as people.
You’ll work closely with SWEs in Billing, Compute and Infra on shared contracts and APIs, and with product owners, finance operations and internal audit to turn accounting and controls requirements into designs. You don’t need a finance background. If you have built backend systems where correctness matters, we will teach you the domain.
Responsibilities
Design and build the front door into finance and its governed contracts: APIs for apps and agents, an event bus for systems that publish, adapters for vendor apps and reports, data-quality gates, and processing that posts every event exactly once, with replay and backfill
Drive the build of the accounting ledger and engine: an append-only ledger with idempotent posting, a rules framework that turns business events into journal entries, translation into the ERP, and period locks
Design and build the SDKs and frameworks that finance apps and agents build on
Build controls into the platform as code: immutable audit trail, maker-checker, scoped access and segregation of duties
Build and run the production services that other engineering teams call in real time, such as the tax and collections services in the billing flow, and own their reliability: uptime, latency, throughput and correctness targets agreed with those teams
Shape the platform’s technical direction: architecture, engineering standards and design reviews
Minimum qualifications
Strong backend engineering in a statically typed language such as Go, Java or Rust, or Python at scale
Experience designing and running high-volume, event-driven systems (publish/subscribe, streaming) with idempotent processing, replay and backfill
Experience designing relational data models and writing SQL for complex, versioned data
Experience designing APIs, SDKs and service-to-service integrations used by other teams
Experience building systems with auditability, access control or compliance requirements
Experience turning requirements from non-engineering partners into technical designs
Strong written and verbal communication, including design docs
Preferred qualifications
10+ years of experience
Experience building developer platforms or paved paths
Experience with streaming systems such as Pub/Sub or Kafka
Experience building with LLMs and agents, including MCP
Built a ledger, sub-ledger, billing or payments system
Familiarity with accounting concepts: double-entry, journal entries
Familiarity with internal controls and audit concepts: audit trails, segregation of duties, change management
Exposure to ERP or financial systems, such as Workday Financials

Its users include Claude agents, which read and write through the same APIs and controls as people.
You'll partner with engineering teams in Billing, Compute and Infra on shared contracts and APIs, and with product owners and finance operations, who set the priorities and define the needs. You don't need a finance background. If you have led teams that build backend systems where correctness matters, we will teach you the domain.
Responsibilities
Lead and grow a team of engineers: hire, coach and hold a high bar for engineering quality
Own delivery of the front door for finance events and its governed contracts, and the accounting ledger and engine, so every event is posted exactly once and can be traced back to its source
Be accountable for the production services that other engineering teams call in real time, such as the tax and collections services in the billing flow
Make sure finance apps and agents have the platform support they need: SDKs and frameworks, scoped access, SOX guardrails, observability, and the capabilities finance needs that claude products do not provide out of the box
Define and own the reliability and correctness bar: SLOs on the services other teams call, tests that check key upstream calculations on every change, and daily accuracy and completeness checks from source to books
Align on technical design, data contracts and APIs with engineering leaders in Billing, Compute and Infra
Drive down the time it takes finance to support a new product, program or compute buildout
Minimum qualifications
Have led teams that build and run high-volume backend systems where correctness matters, such as ledgers, billing, payments, metering or other systems of record
Have built or run event-driven systems with idempotent processing, replay and backfill, and know what it takes to keep them correct in production
Have sound judgment on platform boundaries, data contracts and API design
Have hired and grown engineers, and set engineering standards for platforms
Work well across functions, with upstream engineering teams, finance and auditors, and explain technical trade-offs clearly to non-engineering partners, in writing and in the room
Preferred qualifications
Have 3+ years of engineering management experience, with 8+ years total in the industry
Built developer platforms or paved paths used by other builders
Worked with Go and with streaming systems such as Pub/Sub or Kafka
Built with LLMs and agents, including MCP
Built or run a ledger or sub-ledger, with a working knowledge of double-entry accounting
Managed teams through audit and compliance work, such as SOX change management, segregation of duties and audit trails
Worked with ERP or financial systems, such as Workday Financials or Oracle Financials

Key Responsibilities
1. Lease Administration & Governance
- Proactively track, monitor, and manage critical dates for all lease events, including renewals and break clauses, acting as the primary conduit for populating and managing the tools that host our Real Estate data.
- Support the execution of Real Estate contracts by coordinating with Brokers, Procurement, Legal etc. to finalise signing, updating project budgets, and archiving completed agreements.
- Manage operational risk by ensuring all key details related to lease obligations are accurately recorded, tracked and action is taken.
- For business case generation, gather comparable evidence, property valuations, and market data to drive strategic negotiations.
- Liaise with regional, business and central teams to capture the justification and data necessary for business case approval.
- Manage subleasing activities, including monitoring sub-tenant compliance, tracking sublease income and key milestones, and coordinating with legal and property management teams.
2. Financial and Procurement Reporting
- Coordinate with Finance, Tax and Procurement teams for Real Estate budgets, including updating and managing the Real Estate OPEX and CAPEX budget tracking tools.
- Act as the central point of contact for all property-related budget reporting, preparing quarterly reviews in a clear, digestible format that includes Real Estate and Workplace costs - giving an all inclusive cost per desk / square foot / head.
- Assist in reporting refurbishment or new office delivery costs, against business as usual spend for operational office locations.
- Support the coordination of financial and legal documentation required for transactions, such as preparing group structure charts and financials for external parties (e.g., landlords).
3. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Data Collation
- Lead the coordination and collection of energy, water, and utility consumption data across the global portfolio to support future CSR reporting requirements.
- Manage the challenge of obtaining utility data in co-working and serviced spaces where direct meter readings are complex, including liaising with local teams, operators and landlords to gather the necessary information.
- Act as the conduit between the CEO Office and ESG/CSR teams to ensure our portfolio meets the needs of Sustainability policies and or regulatory requirements.
4. Departmental Administrative Support
- Assist in due diligence and preparation of business cases by researching and reporting on regional office statistics (e.g., desk counts, utilisation, attendance, capacity & commercials).
- Act as a key liaison for business case presentation and refinement.
- Maintain dynamic headcount forecasts to ensure space planning aligns with evolving business needs, particularly for high-growth regions.
- Monitor and document team shift patterns to inform workspace strategy (e.g., HVAC service requirements, after-hours access, and desk rotation models).
- Monitor and manage utilisation reports for Serviced Offices, along with onboard and offboard leaves to locations where we do not directly manage access control.
- Maintain the central digital repository for all property documentation (leases, contracts, floor plans, and insurance certificates), ensuring strict naming conventions, accessibility, and version control are met to ensure 100% audit-readiness.
- Schedule and prepare agendas, collate pre-read materials, and document meeting minutes for key real estate governance forums, proactively tracking action items to ensure timely closure by stakeholders.
- Managing the administrative aspects of the "joiner/leaver" process for office access where no assigned Workplace / People person is assigned.
- Act as the primary administrator for processing property-related invoices, performing the initial "first-pass" review to flag discrepancies against purchase orders (POs) and ensuring all costs are accurately coded before final submission to Finance.
5. Health, Safety & Physical Security Management
- Coordinate the global H&S audit schedule in partnership with SMEs, managing the central audit database, evidence library, action log, and training records to track progress and compliance.
- Support the weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting framework to surface risk trends and audit completion status, allocating audits to regional teams for execution.
- Own the scheduling, chasing, and evidence trail for the audit lifecycle, acting as the primary administrative point of contact to ensure smooth execution.
- Drive the audit lifecycle by ensuring all actions are identified, triaged, and managed to resolution, proactively identifying blockers and managing overdue items.
- Ensure regional teams interpret and apply the central H&S framework in accordance with local laws while maintaining the global baseline standards.
- Manage the integration of the H&S framework with wider Real Estate RACI to ensure clear accountability and prevent overlaps in responsibilities.
- Implement and maintain physical security policies and standards across all global office locations.

As a Senior Data Center Capacity Delivery Manager at Anthropic, you'll embed with project teams responsible for delivery of leased and partnered data center capacity. Your primary role will be to lead these partners to deliver on the fastest possible schedule while maintaining a safe construction site and protecting the finished quality of the data center.
Additionally, you'll validate deal readiness, coordinate complex stakeholder relationships, maintain regular reporting and status tracking, and ensure seamless transitions from project inception through operational readiness.
This role offers a unique opportunity to shape how Anthropic secures and activates the compute infrastructure needed to train and deploy frontier AI systems, working at the intersection of real estate, construction, and cutting-edge AI infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Lead. This is a role where leadership trumps management and process. You will be at one or more project sites 60% of the time or more and expected to shape the culture, approach, and aggressiveness that define those extended site teams. The goal is to impact outcomes in a favorable manner.
You are expected to be a force multiplier that develops and enhances the skillset that development partners, general contractors, and key trades bring to the project(s) you are overseeing. That means being a subject matter expert in the various cross functional elements of data center delivery and increasing the team's performance with that knowledge and commitment to alignment.
Confirm deal readiness and serve as the gatekeeper to validate transaction viability from Letter of Intent (LOI) through lease execution, ensuring all predevelopment, planning, technical and business requirements are met before commitment
Partner with landlords and developers post-deal to serve as Anthropic's primary point of contact, coordinating across internal stakeholders, tracking construction progress, and facilitating critical information exchange between development partners and Anthropic stakeholders
Represent Anthropic in key technical and operational decisions required by partners during the development process, ensuring our infrastructure requirements are met while maintaining strong partnerships
Drive seamless handoffs to operational state with heavy focus on engagement across networking and deployment teams, enabling rapid workload turn-ups and minimizing time-to-production
Prepare and present regular executive reporting on progress versus plan for facility development, supporting forward capacity planning and strategic decision-making
Identify and mitigate risks throughout the delivery lifecycle, proactively addressing blockers that could impact timeline, cost, or technical requirements
Develop and refine standardized processes and playbooks for facility delivery, driving continuous improvement as Anthropic scales its infrastructure footprint
You may be a good fit if you
Have 10+ years of experience in the highest level of site leadership managing data center delivery, construction projects, or infrastructure deployment at scale. You won’t have a big direct team to delegate too but will instead be able to treat the entire cross functional organizations at a jobsite as your team.
Have a strong understanding of the end to end (dirt to delivery) data center development process to include entitlements and permitting, planning and supply chain, execution, commissioning, and handover. You are not an administrator but an active player in the arena comfortable making decisions and guiding delivery execution without the need to consult across multiple external parties.
You should understand data center design and construction as a simple and repeatable process that allows you to build and optimize delivery without a playbook and with minimal processes and tools handed to you. If you can think about building a data center the way kids might build a tree fort or construct a lego set, we want to talk.
In this role you will often be on an island and responsible for your own destiny. You will have free reign to develop your own approaches with the mission guidance being your only bounds. No one will be there to empower your efforts; you will create your own influence by building relationships at the site and diving in at all phases to deliver success.
You must thrive operating with ambiguity and have a willingness to own project outcomes, knowing that the buck stops with you.
In this role, it is imperative that you are as comfortable in boots on a job site working to solve productivity issues with a group of blue collar trades as you are working across executives at development and contractor partners to optimize contract and commercial structures that incentivize delivery speed.
It's a bonus if you
Understand AI/ML infrastructure requirements, including high-density power and advanced cooling systems
Have had leadership positions (General Superintendent, Project Manager) within a GC or EPC on hyperscale data center projects or in self performance of hyperscale data center development projects.
Prioritize extreme ownership and have the ability to create winning cultures across diverse job sites.
Are deeply familiar with lease negotiations, construction contracts, or real estate development processes and have strategies to move those arrangements from traditionally transaction and risk managed arrangements to collaborative efforts that align incentives around accelerated delivery of facilities
Logistics
Minimum education:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
Required field of study:
A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
Minimum years of experience:
Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position
Location-based hybrid policy:
Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
Visa sponsorship:
We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification.
Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.
Your safety matters to us.
