At JetBrains, code is our passion. Ever since we started back in 2000, we have strived to create the strongest and most effective developer tools in the world. Today, we are evolving beyond standalone tools toward a unified, AI-native platform for software development.
AI is no longer just an assistant inside the editor – it is becoming an active participant in how software is planned, built, reviewed, and operated across teams and organizations. This shift brings challenges that cannot be solved at the level of individual tools alone, challenges that involve governance, security, cost control, observability, and coordination between humans and autonomous agents.
The
JetBrains Platform team (JCP)
is building the foundation that connects developer workflows, team-level collaboration, and organizational control into a single coherent system. The platform is both deeply integrated with JetBrains products and designed to work across teams, products, and environments.
We’re now looking for an experienced
Software Engineer
to join an identity management and access team in JCP. The team owns several services responsible for authentication and authorization, as well as for managing organizations, user memberships, groups, and workspaces. All these form a foundational dependency for the rest of the platform. We also supply and support robust authentication components used by YouTrack, IDE Services, License Vault, Qodana, and other JetBrains products.
In this role, you will:
Own the entire SDLC: codebase, architecture, and operations
Maintain and evolve the services in Kotlin and a little bit of Go, ensuring reliability and performance as the platform grows
Design and implement new features across the identity, organization, membership, group, and workspace domains
Review and integrate PRs from other platform teams
Manage integrations with other JCP platform components and connected applications
We will be happy to have you on our team if you:
Have 7+ years of JVM development experience, preferably with Kotlin
Know how to approach performance problems on JVM and Postgres
Are experienced in building and operating SaaS production services in a distributed, multi-tenant environment
Can fluently navigate a modern devops stack: K8S, OpenTelemetry, Grafana
Have a track record of taking over and improving existing production services
Nice to have:
Prior experience with identity management protocols, such as OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML 2.0, or SCIM 2.0
If you have designed and evolved domain models for organizational or identity systems
Cybersecurity experience: estimating risks, recognizing common vulnerability antipatterns, and promoting best SSDLC practices
Hands-on experience with Go
Why join JetBrains?
Strong base salary. We offer competitive pay that reflects your skills and experience.
Flexible work location. Enjoy the freedom to work from home or from the office.
Remote work. Spend up to 30 days per year working remotely from abroad.
Extra time off. More days to relax, recharge, and do the things you love.

About GiveDirectly
What if the most effective way to fight poverty was also the simplest: give people money and trust them to decide what they need?
Since 2011, GiveDirectly has proven that idea at scale. We’ve delivered more than $1B in cash directly to 2+ million people living in poverty and crisis across 15 countries, and rigorous research shows the results: healthier kids, stronger businesses, sturdier homes, and more resilient families and local economies. Cash is now widely recognized as one of the most scalable, cost-effective, and dignified forms of aid.
Our ambition goes beyond our own programs. We want cash to become the benchmark for aid, much as the index fund became the benchmark for investing, so that every aid dollar is held to one question:
is this doing more good than giving the money directly to people living in poverty?
We’re growing fast, and this is a rare and important moment to join.
We expect to hit $1B in revenue in 2026 with significant growth forecast for 2027. At the same time we are building a new technology stack and operating model designed for a roughly 10x change in scale, and we are actively pursuing partnerships with major funders to move even more money in bigger ways, to people who need it. We are known for our extensive integration of technology into field processes; our quantitative approach to performance measurement; and our commitment to rigorous, independent, experimental evaluation of our impact, with multiple Randomized Control Trials completed and others in progress.
How we work
Our team spans 20+ countries and 69 languages. Our culture is candid, analytical, and non-hierarchical. We expect high ownership and give people real responsibility early. Our values are central to how we hire, work, and grow, and they are deliberately opinionated:
Recipients first.
Recipients’ preferences come before those of donors or ourselves.
Team next.
We optimize for organizational success, not individual success.
Be proactively candid.
We say what we believe and share information openly.
Create positive energy.
We aim to be a source of energy for colleagues, not a drain.
Think rigorously; act quickly.
We reason from first principles, then act rather than debate.
Know yourself and grow.
We own our imperfections and seek feedback to grow.
Accept reality. Propose solutions.
We focus on what can change and bring solutions, not just problems.
Be productively ambitious.
We take risks for step-change impact, not incremental progress.

About GiveDirectly in the DRC
GiveDirectly DRC was established in 2018 to enable cash transfers to poor and rural populations via mobile phones, thereby promoting food security, poverty reduction, and financial inclusion. We aimed to demonstrate the operational feasibility and cost-effectiveness of transferring large volumes of money digitally in one of the world's least developed countries. Since its inception four years ago, GiveDirectly DRC has used mobile phones to transfer over $14 million to more than 65,000 beneficiaries in four provinces: South Kivu, North Kivu, Ituri, and Kinshasa.
GiveDirectly's activities in the DRC have expanded to include, among other things: compelling proofs of concept for mobile-based cash transfers; and the implementation of innovative technologies to target disadvantaged urban populations in Kinshasa, in collaboration with the DRC's social protection agency, the DRC Social Fund. The delivery of contactless cash to beneficiaries in Beni and Bunia affected by the economic consequences of COVID-19. You will be joining Give Directly DRC at an exciting time in its history, as we are establishing and hope to launch several new programs and strengthen our partnership with the DRC government.
About the Role
As Senior Manager, Operations (DRC), you'll build and lead the operational backbone behind GiveDirectly's programs in the country. You'll direct the support services team end-to-end — HR, logistics, procurement, and administration — while managing a team of managers. You'll design a procurement strategy that keeps goods and services flowing efficiently and reliably across provinces, own fleet and logistics management as the program scales, and manage the operational budget with an eye for efficiency. You'll also support the Country Director on HR strategy — recruitment, training, and performance — and design the systems needed for a much larger footprint across provinces, from procurement to digital tools that improve scalability.
This is a role for someone who can build systems as readily as they can lead people, and who's energized by both strategic design and the operational details that make it real on the ground.
What You’ll Do:
Lead the DRC support services team end-to-end — HR, logistics, procurement, administration, and office management — including direct oversight of managers
Develop and drive a procurement strategy ensuring efficient, compliant, and resilient sourcing across provinces, and own fleet and logistics management as the program scales
Manage the operational budget, forecasting and driving efficiency across procurement, logistics, and administrative spend
Support the Country Director on HR strategy — recruitment, training, performance management, and talent density — through oversight of the HR function
Design systems and processes to support a much larger footprint across provinces, anticipating future needs and identifying AI and digital opportunities to improve scalability
Coach and develop support services managers to build operational excellence beyond individual contribution
Maintain a compliance and operational risk register, and lead internal spot checks, audit preparedness, and action plans in partnership with Finance and Internal Audit
Own donor reporting, budget tracking, and donor visit coordination, and serve as the primary point of contact between the Country Office and GSS on operational and compliance matters
Own the Operational Knowledge Base and lead onboarding, training, and localization of materials as the team grows
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (management, administration, finance, or related); a master's degree is an asset
Minimum 6 years of experience in operations management, with a track record of transforming informal systems into structured, compliant, and scalable ones, including direct oversight of managers
Strong financial and budget management skills, with experience managing an operational budget
Proven experience maintaining a risk register and working closely with internal/external audit functions
Experience developing and coaching managers, with comfort delegating execution while retaining accountability for results
Strong digital fluency, with experience using and training teams on multiple platforms (Google Suite, Salesforce, Asana, Guru, Slack)
Familiarity with international NGO standards and donor compliance frameworks
Experience navigating the DRC's complex legal environment, including labor law and immigration requirements
Strong alignment with
GiveDirectly's values
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including ability to communicate fluently in English and French with high level stakeholders
Professional proficiency in French and English required; knowledge of Congolese Swahili and/or Lingala is an asset

Base Salary:
$94,500
Bonus at Target Performance:
10% (~$9,450, with potential for upside. For reference, with the organization’s current performance multiplier, this amount would be $11,057 in 2025)

About the Role
As Senior Manager, Programs (DRC), you'll help bring GiveDirectly's programs in the Democratic Republic of Congo to life — owning their end-to-end execution, from operational design to on-the-ground delivery. You'll blend strategic thinking with hands-on problem-solving: designing systems that work, catching risks before they escalate, and using data to drive continuous improvement. You'll also lead people, managing a team of managers and field staff, while partnering closely with the Program Director and Country Director to shape what comes next. It's a role for someone who's energized by both the big picture and the operational details that make it real.
What You’ll Do:
Develop detailed project management plans for all our programs and drive them through successful end-to-end execution
Design operational models for new programs — including targeting, payments, and customer service — and define, monitor, and report on key operational and efficiency indicators
Identify operational vulnerabilities, such as fraud or reputational risk, and implement mitigation solutions aligned with the risk framework set by the Program Director
Analyze program-level data to diagnose the causes of underperformance and drive continuous quality improvement
Partner with Tech and Data teams to design surveys and ensure data integrity in Salesforce
Directly manage a team of managers, with oversight of field teams and call centre at multiple levels
Support the Program Director and Country Director in scoping new programs, including operational feasibility and risk assessment.
Manage partner relationships with key operational partners with oversight of scoping, contracting and ensuring the terms of our agreements are respected.
Develop materials for engagement with donors and other external stakeholders in order to represent our work externally.
Requirements:
Minimum 6 years of experience managing and implementing programs within international NGOs or a comparable operational environment; experience in cash or money transfer programming is an asset
Work experience in the DRC, or strong knowledge of the DRC context, is highly desirable
Experience in team management, including recruitment, team building, and development
Strong analytical thinking, with a proven ability to use data to identify problems and improve programs
Experience using technology and digital tools to drive results and operational innovation
Proven instinct for risk management and creative problem-solving in complex operational environments
A high degree of autonomy and resilience, with the ability to thrive in a fragile, rapidly changing environment
Strong alignment with

ABOUT SENTRY
Software runs the world and the pace is faster than ever. Sentry helps developers fix errors and performance issues before users notice, so teams can spend less time firefighting and more time building.
Trusted by 200,000+ organizations, Sentry is today’s application monitoring standard and our team is building its AI-native future.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Forward Deployed Engineers at Sentry help our largest customers get real value from Sentry, from integrating the SDK to making sure the right alerts and issues reach the right people at the right time. This role is a Senior Solutions Engineer who goes further: you'll help us build Sentry's forward deployed motion.
That means working shoulder to shoulder with our most important customers, often inside their codebases and workflows, instead of advising from the outside. When a customer's problem needs more than a best-practices doc, such as a custom integration, a tricky instrumentation setup, or a working prototype, you'll build it with them, then turn what you learn into repeatable patterns for the rest of the team.
Forward deployed work is new here and you will have a part in building this arm. You'll start with the core Solutions Engineering work and take on more hands-on deployment work as customers pull you into it, helping define what this motion looks like at Sentry. The goal is simple: reduce time to value. The outcomes we care about:
- Developers can quickly find and resolve slowdowns and errors in their applications.
- Customers get to value faster, and the lessons from each deployment make the product better for everyone.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL
- Turn customer goals into a plan. Understand customers' pain points and objectives, then act as their trusted advisor, translating them into implementation plans, workshops, and best practices that show clear business value.
- Get Sentry set up, in the code. With the customer's permission, work in their codebase like a member of their engineering team, delivering the pull requests that fully set up Sentry so data is flowing from day one.
- Instrument what matters most. Add custom telemetry for a customer's most critical user journeys and build the dashboards and alerts that go with it.
- Lead migrations. Move customers off their existing observability tools by setting up their Sentry organization and delivering PRs that introduce Sentry and remove the old solution.
- Work like a trusted contractor. Stay within the scope and access you've been given, take extra care in live environments, test thoroughly, and ship pull requests that customer engineers are glad to merge. Embed with their teams, including on site, when it helps.
- Build the motion. Turn one-off deployments into repeatable playbooks and tooling, help define how forward deployed engagements are scoped and measured, and bring what you learn back to Product and Engineering.
YOU’LL LOVE THIS JOB IF YOU
- You'd rather sit with a customer's engineers and fix the problem in their code than write them a recommendation
- Enjoy talking about technology and interfacing with engineers and engineering leaders.
- Appreciate working in a dynamic environment, on a variety of projects with customers from lots of different industries.
- Love flexing your creative brain by developing solutions, resources, and content from scratch (scripts, code samples, demos, sales-consumable collateral/documents, etc.).
- Have a fast-paced, results-driven mindset.
- Love developer tools, open-source, and/or all things software development life cycle!
QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of experience, with some mixture being Software Engineering and Solutions Engineering/Implementation
- Hands-on experience working with programming languages and frameworks including JavaScript, Python, Node.js, Java, PHP, .NET, Ruby, React, React Native, Mobile Native (iOS and/or Android), etc
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with credibility in front of engineers and engineering leaders
- Problem solver, knowledgable, and can-doer
- Bonus: experience with observability, APM, or error monitoring tools, including migrating customers from another vendor, or helping build a forward deployed or customer engineering function
The total compensation range (or hourly wage range, if applicable) that Sentry reasonably expects to pay for this position is $190,000 to $230,000 USD. A successful candidate’s actual base salary (or hourly wage) amount will be determined by a variety of relevant factors including, without limitation, the candidate’s work location, education, work and other relevant experience, skills, and job-related knowledge. A successful candidate will be eligible to participate in Sentry’s employee benefit plans/programs applicable to the candidate’s position (including incentive compensation, equity grants, paid time off, and group health insurance coverage). See Sentry Benefits https://sentry.io/careers/ for more details about the Company’s benefit plans/programs.
EQUAL OPPORTUNITY AT SENTRY
Sentry is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to its employees and candidates for employment regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity, veteran status, or other legally-protected characteristic. This commitment includes the provision of reasonable accommodations to employees and candidates for employment with physical or mental disabilities who require such accommodations in order to (a) perform the essential functions of their jobs, or (b) seek employment with Sentry. We strive to build a diverse team, with an inclusive culture where every teammate can thrive. Sentry is an open-source company because we believe that everyone, everywhere, should have the ability and tools to make great software. Software should be accessible. That starts with making our industry accessible.
