ABOUT RAMP
Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $275B in annualized spend flows in and out of 85,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.
The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.
We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.
The median Ramp customer saves 7.5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.

WHO WE ARE
Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkpYpWfEK5s. We're building one place where your knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools live side by side, so work is faster, clearer, and less fragmented. Millions of individuals, small teams, and large companies run their work on Notion.
Notinos (our employees) are customer zero in bringing this future of work to life. We care about craft, building things that last, and the belief that great work is still fundamentally human. Our goal isn’t to ship the next feature. Each and every team of Notinos is working to set the standard for how humans work together in the AI era. From building a business’s system of record to making and managing AI agents to automating away the busy work, we care deeply about giving our customers more time for their life’s work.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
You'll be Recruiting's dedicated people analytics partner — owning the data, shaping the strategy, and in the room where decisions get made. The core of the role is building trusted recruiting analytics infrastructure (funnel + stage conversion, pipeline aging, time-to-fill, offer acceptance, sourcing channel quality, and recruiter capacity) and making it self-serve for recruiters and leaders. You’ll own the stack end-to-end — from raw data in Ashby and Snowflake to clear insights that hold up in a pipeline review.
You're the person who turns workforce signals into recruiting strategy — bringing a point of view.
This role may be based in either our San Francisco or New York City offices. We work from our offices on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays (our Anchor Days) because we do our best thinking and building together in person. We’re looking for someone who’s excited to work alongside the team during those days.
WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE:
- Own recruiting analytics end-to-end: Build and maintain the dashboards and reporting infrastructure Recruiting leadership relies on (funnel health, conversion rates by stage, time-to-fill, offer acceptance, pipeline aging, interview/interviewer effectiveness, and recruiter capacity) — real-time, self-serve, and trusted.
- Build headcount + velocity models: Translate hiring targets into pipeline math (volume needed by stage, ETA to close, roles trending behind plan) and tie it to recruiter capacity and prioritization — so leaders see issues early and know what to do about them.
- Make talent data decision-grade: Define core recruiting metrics and their definitions, document them, and build toward a single source of truth the team can align on.
- Bring signal to pipeline leadership reviews: Show up to pipeline reviews and QBRs with crisp analysis and a recommendation (where the bottleneck is, what changed, what to test next), not just a slide deck.
- Improve the recruiting system: Use data to spot where process, calibration, or prioritization is creating drag — and partner with Recruiting and Finance to fix it.
- Use AI as leverage in your first 90 days: Use AI to accelerate query iteration, metric QA, and insight narratives (e.g., draft + test SQL approaches, anomaly checks, and concise readouts) while keeping the underlying logic and definitions clean and auditable.
SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO BRING:
- Proven ability to build analytics that gets used: You’ve shipped dashboards/models that teams rely on to run real weekly decisions — not one-off reports.
- Strong SQL + data modeling judgment: You can write complex queries, debug data issues, and build maintainable models/pipelines that other people can trust.
- Quantitative modeling for recruiting problems: You can translate hiring stages into clear funnel math and capacity views, and you know how to stress-test assumptions.
- Strategic partner instincts: You anticipate the questions leaders will ask, show up with the analysis, and can say what the data implies for decisions.
- AI-fluent, with good taste: You use AI as a daily multiplier (analysis, QA, drafting narratives) and know when to rely on it vs. when to go to first principles.
- Build in Notion: You’re comfortable structuring knowledge and workflows in Notion (databases, views, documentation) so your work is easy for others to find, trust, and build on.
Notion is committed to providing highly competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits. The compensation offered for this role will be based on multiple factors such as location, the role’s scope and complexity, and the candidate’s experience and expertise, and may vary from the range provided below. For roles based in San Francisco or New York City, the estimated base salary range for this role is $225,000 - $275,000 per year.

A NOTE ON AI
You don’t need deep AI expertise for every role, but we do expect every Notino to be intellectually curious, drawn to tinkering and discovery, and excited to use AI as a real collaborator in their work. For some roles, AI fluency is a core requirement — when that’s the case, we'll say so explicitly in the qualifications. People who thrive here don’t treat AI as a novelty. They use it to think better, and make their work easier for others to build on.

About the Role
The company is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the Back Office & Integration squad. This is a dedicated people-management and hands-on technical leadership role — it is not a Tech Lead or Senior Software Engineer position. You will have direct line-management responsibility for a team of 4 to 8 engineers, taking full ownership of their performance, professional growth, and delivery.
The company develops a fast-growing travel management platform tailored specifically for the maritime, aviation, and energy sectors. Headquartered in Rotterdam with a team of ~200 people, the company builds mission-critical software that keeps complex global industries moving.
In this role, you will balance approximately 60% people management and delivery with 40% hands-on technical work, tackling complex architectural tasks and conducting code reviews.
Key Responsibilities & People Management
Line Management. Directly manage a team of 4–8 intermediate to senior engineers (7+ years of experience).
Performance & Growth. Conduct regular 1-on-1s, lead performance reviews, and foster career development within your team.
Hiring & Firing. Hold active input and decision-making responsibility for recruitment, team expansion, and offboarding.
Accountability. Take full ownership of your team's delivery and culture, standing by your team when challenges or mistakes arise.
Technical Contribution (~40%). Solve complex engineering problems, lead code reviews, and drive architecture decisions using modern .NET technologies.
Requirements
Must-haves
Recent People Management Experience. Active experience in a direct line-manager role within the last 3 years.
(Note: Mentorship, code reviews, or acting as a Tech Lead without direct people management do not qualify)

Strong, active commercial experience with C#, .NET, PostgreSQL, and SQL within the last 5 years.
Ability to work remotely initially with a mandatory agreement to relocate to the Netherlands after 4 to 6 months (Full visa sponsorship and relocation support provided), willingness to start on a fixed-term contract during the initial trial period.
Technical Evaluation & AI Expectations
During the technical selection process, candidate AI usage will be evaluated. While AI is welcomed as a productivity tool, using AI merely as a basic search engine/shortcut for fundamental engineering problems is considered a reject signal.
Self-Rejection Criteria (Please do not apply if):
You are primarily looking for an Individual Contributor (IC), Tech Lead, or purely advisory role without direct line management responsibilities.
You are looking for a permanent contract from Day 1 without an initial fixed-term/trial period.
You are unwilling or unable to relocate to the Netherlands within 4 to 6 months.
You have not actively used C# / .NET as your primary tech stack within the last 5 years.
