- Work directly with analytics, engineering, and product teams to turn raw data into reliable, usable inputs for the business.
What you'll own
- Own projects end to end — from stakeholder alignment and design review through implementation, launch, and ongoing support.
- Build self-service data solutions that let other teams deliver their own data needs, designed to scale and extend easily as new sources and use cases are added.
- Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines that are fault-tolerant and cost-optimized.
- Optimize Spark jobs end to end — cluster sizing, caching, joins, shuffles, partitioning, and storage formats (Parquet, Delta).
- Manage Databricks Workflows, jobs, cluster configurations, and the underlying infrastructure — security policies, resources, and access — responding to failures and performance issues.
- Implement data governance and access control with Unity Catalog across accounts and environments, including handling of PII.
What makes you a strong fit
- Hands-on experience with Databricks and strong proficiency in Apache Spark (PySpark and/or Scala).
- Strong Python for data engineering, plus SQL and Spark SQL for transformation and analytics.
- Experience with Delta Lake and lakehouse architectures, including performance optimization.
- Proven ownership — you've run projects where you knew the weak points, gathered feedback, and made your solutions easy to scale and maintain.
- Experience writing clean, testable, maintainable code with Git-based version control.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code such as Terraform or Ansible is a plus — not required, and easy to pick up on the job.

WHO WE ARE
Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkpYpWfEK5s. We're building one place where your knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools live side by side, so work is faster, clearer, and less fragmented. Millions of individuals, small teams, and large companies run their work on Notion.
Notinos (our employees) are customer zero in bringing this future of work to life. We care about craft, building things that last, and the belief that great work is still fundamentally human. Our goal isn’t to ship the next feature. Each and every team of Notinos is working to set the standard for how humans work together in the AI era. From building a business’s system of record to making and managing AI agents to automating away the busy work, we care deeply about giving our customers more time for their life’s work.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for an experienced Localization Project Manager — Japan Training Quality to support localization for Customer Education, helping ensure Notion training content feels accurate, clear, culturally relevant, and ready to use for learners across the globe.
You’ll work at the intersection of localization quality, training implementation, and program management, collaborating with Localization, Partner Enablement, Customer Education, vendors, and language specialists. You’ll help turn translation feedback, learner experience issues, and regional quality needs into practical improvements across training content, quizzes, LMS setup, and repeatable localization workflows.
The ideal candidate combines native-level Japanese language expertise with a deep understanding of what effective education looks like in the Japanese market.
WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE
- Own and apply Japanese localization QA standards across training content, including checking for accuracy, clarity, tone, terminology, and cultural nuance
- Support development of glossaries, style guides, QA checklists, review processes, and localization assets
- Become a go-to partner for translation questions related to Notion-specific concepts, product terminology, and training context
- Support QA of technical implementation in eLearning authoring tools and LMS environments (course files, quizzes, answer selections)
- Coordinate across Customer Education, Partner Enablement, Localization, and vendors to align on priorities, timelines, translation progress, and quality expectations
- Identify workflow risks and recommend improvements that improve translation quality and reduce time-to-launch
- Document repeatable processes that make training and help center localization easier to manage over time
SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO BRING
- Strong understanding of localization workflows, including vendor collaboration, review cycles, glossaries, style guides, QA rubrics, and linguistic QA
- Experience with Japanese localization QA, ideally for SaaS, technical training, customer education, or partner enablement content
- Ability to review translated content for quality, clarity, terminology accuracy, cultural nuance, and learner comprehension
- Familiarity with eLearning or LMS tools; experience with platforms like Skilljar or Parta authoring tools is a plus
- Comfort working with technical or product-specific terminology that may not translate directly
- Strong attention to detail, especially in learner-facing content, quizzes, course setup, formatting, and implementation QA
- Strong project management skills and ability to bring structure into ambiguous areas
WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS
We want all of our learners should feel like Notion training content was made for them — not simply translated for them. High-quality localization has a direct impact on learner trust, comprehension, launch readiness, and regional enablement outcomes.
This role will help Customer Education and Partner Enablement move faster while raising the quality bar: reducing rework, catching issues before launch, improving vendor feedback loops, and creating a clearer, more repeatable operating model for training localization
This is a 6-month, part-time role with option to extend. Preferred location is Tokyo, but we're open to remote applicants with strong Japanese market expertise and timezone overlap with Japan and Notion's International Experience team.
Availability: 20 hours/week
#LI-Onsite
A NOTE ON AI
You don’t need deep AI expertise for every role, but we do expect every Notino to be intellectually curious, drawn to tinkering and discovery, and excited to use AI as a real collaborator in their work. For some roles, AI fluency is a core requirement — when that’s the case, we'll say so explicitly in the qualifications. People who thrive here don’t treat AI as a novelty. They use it to think better, and make their work easier for others to build on.

About Us
Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industry-leading companies with a shared mission: helping organizations unlock the full value of their data.
Together, we’re delivering the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data — from the moment data moves, through every transformation, to the context teams and AI systems rely on.
Fivetran helps organizations automate data movement across the systems, clouds, engines, and tools they rely on. dbt Labs pioneered analytics engineering, helping teams transform data into reliable, governed insights. Together, we support thousands of organizations as they build a trusted foundation for analytics, AI, and better business decisions.

About the Role
Fivetran and dbt Labs is building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies.
We're looking for a senior software engineer to join our Metadata team, which owns the metadata layer of the dbt platform — the discovery API, catalog, lineage, and run history services that let customers understand, trust, and act on what their data is doing.
You'll own the design and delivery of features end to end, working across high-throughput APIs and data models to make them faster, more reliable, and more capable. You'll write and review designs, raise the quality bar in code review, use the latest AI tools, and collaborate closely with product and QE to deliver work that scales.
Technologies You’ll Use
Python, Rust, GraphQL, Postgres, Snowflake, Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, GCP, Datadog
What You’ll Do
Design and implement features and performance improvements across the Metadata team's services — discovery API, catalog, lineage, and run history
Develop, maintain, and test high-quality, maintainable code, and optimize critical paths for performance
Write technical designs for feature-level work, actively seek feedback, and clearly explain the trade-offs of your decisions
Participate in and review technical designs and pull requests, providing constructive feedback to the team
Improve test coverage with comprehensive unit tests and refactor code to drive down tech debt
Troubleshoot and debug production issues, and follow up on incidents with post-mortems and mitigation plans
Break features into tasks, structure and execute your own project plans, and contribute to sprint and feature planning
Collaborate with product managers, QE, customer support, and peers to deliver the best product with high quality, performance, and scalability
Participate periodically in the on-call rotation, and be mindful of security throughout your work
Use AI tooling — IDE assistants like GitHub Copilot, coding agents like Claude Code, and conversational AI — to accelerate development and to author and review SDLC artifacts such as TDDs, PRDs, post-mortems, and test plans
Skills We’re Looking For
5+ years of experience in the software industry with a passion for solving complex software engineering problems, including designing and building backend services and reusable components from the ground up
Experience working with distributed systems and cloud computing concepts
Demonstrated ability to write well-structured, performant, and well-tested code
Ability to independently lead feature-level software and design work that satisfies project requirements, and to clearly explain design trade-offs
Can identify design flaws in existing systems and propose improvements
Experience with code reviews, design, troubleshooting, and testing
Proficiency in a modern backend or systems language such as Python, Java, C++, or C#
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with continuous integration tooling such as BuildKite, and familiarity with observability tools like Datadog or Grafana is a plus
Fluent in using AI code assistants and coding agents to generate and investigate code, and conversational AI (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT) to research, author, review, and synthesize SDLC artifacts
Bonus Skills
Experience in data processing (ETL, ELT) and/or cloud-based data platforms
Experience building or working with metadata, catalog, lineage, or discovery/search systems
Experience with GraphQL APIs and high-throughput, multi-tenant data services
Familiarity with the analytics engineering workflow and the dbt ecosystem

From Fivetran’s founding until now, our mission has remained the same: to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. We’re proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven.
About Us
Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industry-leading companies with a shared mission: helping organizations unlock the full value of their data.
T
ogether, we’re delivering the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data — from the moment data moves, through every transformation, to the context teams and AI systems rely on.
As we bring our teams and technology together, we’re building on the strengths of both companies while continuing to deliver the products and experiences our customers know and trust. It’s an exciting time to join us: we’re creating a company with the scale, talent, and technology to help more organizations put their data to work with greater speed, confidence, and impact. During this transition period, you may see references to both Fivetran and dbt Labs throughout our recruiting process as we integrate our teams, systems, and career sites.
About the Role
Fivetran and dbt Labs are building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies. We're looking for an engineering manager to lead our Metadata team, which owns the metadata layer of the dbt platform: the discovery API, catalog, lineage, and run history services that let customers understand, trust, and act on what their data is doing.
You'll own technical excellence and delivery of a single team, from evolving high-throughput APIs and data models, to hardening reliability and latency for enterprise and single-tenant customers, to shipping new discovery and catalog capabilities in close partnership with product. You'll set direction, review designs and code, remove roadblocks, and grow the engineers on your team through coaching, feedback, and clear career development.
What You'll Do
Lead and grow a team of software engineers, owning hiring, onboarding, coaching, career development plans, and regular 1:1s and check-ins
Own project delivery for your team against the quarterly plan, and be accountable for the reliability and performance of the services you own (e.g. uptime and latency targets)
Review technical designs and code, and provide feedback grounded in a deep understanding of the Metadata product area and architecture
Drive the team to address technical quality — incidents, bugs, tech debt, and post-mortems — within SLA and metric targets
Partner with product and business stakeholders on planning, and maintain a realistic, prioritized feature and project backlog with a high completion rate
Contextualize and communicate the engineering vision and strategy to your team, and share the team's work and business impact with adjacent teams
Ensure engineering processes (e.g. FDLC) are implemented and consistently followed
Delegate effectively and build autonomy and a positive, high-trust culture within the team
Address performance issues and conflict promptly and fairly
Ensure your team uses AI tooling — IDE assistants like GitHub Copilot, coding agents like Claude Code, and conversational AI — to accelerate development and to author and review SDLC artifacts such as TDDs, PRDs, post-mortems, and test plans
Skills We're Looking For
Experience managing and growing a software engineering team(ideally a customer-facing product development team); including hiring, coaching, and running a full performance and career-development cycle
Strong technical foundation with the ability to review designs and code and make sound architectural trade-offs in a distributed, cloud-based systems environment
Track record of delivering complex projects on schedule while holding the team to high standards of quality, reliability, and performance
Experience owning production services and driving operational health — incident response, on-call practices, tech-debt reduction, and meeting SLAs
Ability to plan and prioritize with product partners, maintain a realistic backlog, and drive high sprint and quarterly completion rates
Communicates clearly and effectively across the team and with adjacent teams and stakeholders; keeps people well informed
Fluent in using AI code assistants, coding agents, and conversational AI (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT) to support the software development lifecycle, and able to establish those practices across a team
Bonus Skills
Experience building or operating metadata, catalog, lineage, or discovery/search systems
Experience with GraphQL APIs and high-throughput, multi-tenant data services
Familiarity with the analytics engineering workflow and the dbt ecosystem
Experience supporting enterprise or single-tenant customers with strict reliability and latency requirements

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
Anthropic is building the Applied AI team to help the world's most ambitious organizations adopt Claude in ways that are transformative, safe, and lasting. Our Forward Deployed Engineers embed directly with strategic customers to ship production AI applications that solve real business problems. As this practice grows, we need a founding leader to build and scale it.
As the first FDE Manager, you'll own the team that sits at the frontier of enterprise AI deployment. You'll hire and develop a high-performing team of FDEs, set the technical and operational bar for customer engagements, and build the playbooks that turn one-off successes into repeatable patterns. You'll work hand-in-hand with Engagement Managers who own delivery logistics and stakeholder management, while you ensure your team is shipping quality code, growing technically, and representing Anthropic at the highest level in customer environments.
This is a player-coach role with a strong bias toward leadership. You'll stay close enough to the technical work to review architectures, debug production issues, and pair with your team when it matters — but your primary impact will come from the people you hire, the standards you set, and the culture you create. You'll partner cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Engineering to shape how Anthropic serves its most strategic customers, and your team's field insights will directly influence product direction.
This role requires someone who thrives in ambiguity and is energized by building from zero to one. You'll be defining what good looks like for FDE management at Anthropic — there is no existing playbook to follow.
Responsibilities
Hire, develop, and retain a world-class team of Forward Deployed Engineers. Set a high bar for technical talent and customer instincts.
Conduct regular 1:1s, provide technical mentorship, and invest in the career growth of each team member. Create an environment where FDEs do the best work of their careers.
Staff and oversee customer engagements across your team's portfolio, making resource allocation decisions that balance customer needs, team development, and business priorities.
Collaborate with account teams and Engagement Managers during the pre-sales process to qualify engagements, scope work, and inform statements of work.
Review technical architectures and code produced by your FDEs, ensuring the team ships high-quality, production-ready solutions that solve real customer problems.
Stay hands-on enough to lead technical discovery sessions, prototype solutions, and debug complex issues alongside your team when needed.
Build repeatable playbooks, starter repositories, integration templates, and an internal knowledge base that captures what your team learns in the field.
Define team OKRs that tie to customer success outcomes and product adoption goals. Create operational cadences — standups, retros, engagement reviews — that keep the team aligned.
Partner with Product and Engineering to translate field insights into product improvements. Serve as the voice of the customer in internal planning.
Travel to customer sites as needed (25-50%), particularly during engagement kickoffs and for your team's highest-priority accounts.
You may be a good fit if you have
10+ years of experience in software engineering, solutions architecture, or a technical customer-facing role such as forward deployed engineering or consulting.
2+ years of people management experience within a services/post-sales/FDE organization with a track record of hiring, developing, and retaining strong engineers.
Experience building organizations from 0->1, not just inheriting an existing one.
Experience working directly with enterprise customers on technical implementations, including comfort navigating complex organizational dynamics.
Executive presence with the ability to move fluidly between strategic conversations with senior stakeholders and hands-on debugging sessions with engineers.
Strong written and verbal communication skills. You can translate technical complexity into clear narratives for diverse audiences.
Genuine excitement about building something new and defining what great looks like for a team that doesn't yet exist.
Why this role matters
You'll be a founding leader of a team that defines how enterprises adopt and scale AI. Your work will directly influence Anthropic's product direction, create reusable patterns for the broader customer base, and establish Anthropic as the trusted partner for AI transformation — all while advancing the responsible development of frontier AI systems.
The annual compensation range for this role is listed below.
For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.
Annual Salary:
£255,000
—
£325,000 GBP
Logistics
Minimum education:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
Required field of study:
A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
Minimum years of experience:
Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position
Location-based hybrid policy:
Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
Visa sponsorship:
We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification.
Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.
Your safety matters to us.

In some cases, we may partner with vetted recruiting agencies who will identify themselves as working on behalf of Anthropic. Be cautious of emails from other domains. How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

We are building AI to simulate the world through merging art and science.
We believe that world models are at the frontier of progress in artificial intelligence. Language models alone won’t solve the world’s hardest problems – robotics, disease, scientific discovery. Real progress requires models that experience the world and learn from their mistakes, the same way that humans do. And this kind of trial and error can be massively accelerated when done in simulation, rather than in the real world.
World models offer the most clear path to general-purpose simulation, changing how stories are told, how scientific progress is made and how the next frontiers of humanity are reached.
Our team consists of creative, open minded, caring and ambitious people who are determined to change the world. We aspire to continuously build impossible things and our ability to do so relies on building an incredible team. If you are driven to do the same, we'd love to hear from you.
*Titles posted to our careers page are updated regularly to best advertise the role and expected seniority, but internally we have a flat titling system with two types of titles: one for individual contributors and one for people managers.
ABOUT THE ROLE
*Open to hiring remote across North America and London — we also have offices in NYC, San Francisco, Seattle, and London.
We’re building a tool that makes content creation easy and accessible for all types of creatives. Our users love it. Runway has an actively engaged and growing community of passionate artists and creators worldwide. And we’re growing our support team to ensure we can continue to provide delightful experiences for our users every day.
We're looking for creatives at heart that can pick up new tools fast, hold up under high ticket volume without losing quality and identify solutions vs. just clearing the queue. If that's you, read on!
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Work through a high volume of inbound support tickets across Free, Standard, Pro and Unlimited plans with speed and accuracy
- Handle escalations from our AI support layer with sharp judgement on what needs a human and what doesn't
- Identify patterns across tickets and proactively surface them to the product team- not just reporting, but also offering thoughtful recommendations based on what you're seeing
- Help identify opportunities to maintain or build self-service content: help docs, short-form videos, FAQs, etc.
- Engage with the Runway community on Discord and other forums
- Contribute directly to process improvements and automation, including building things yourself when the opportunity is there
- Triage complex technical issues for escalation to Enterprise support
- Live troubleshoot within the Runway platform as needed
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- You're already comfortable in tools like Notion, Slack, Zendesk (or similar), Google Workspace and AI platforms
- Strong written communication: clear, direct, and thoughtful at volume
- A learn-by-failing mentality, when you hit something unfamiliar, you have an experimental mindset
- Natural curiosity about how products work, why users get confused, and what could be done better
- Comfort managing your own work in a fast-moving environment- high ownership and high autonomy
- Data driven mindset: you notice patterns and know how to communicate them
- 1-3 years in customer support, operations, or technical role
- Expertise and/or interest in the creative space, AI or both
- Genuine interest in AI, creative tools or both
WHAT SETS YOU APART
The most successful people in this role don't just keep up- they set the pace. They move through 60, 80, even 100+ tickets in a day without letting quality slip. They're reading the queue, not just clearing it. They notice what keeps surfacing and do something about it, a message to product, a doc, sometimes something they built themselves. They show up with ideas no one asked for yet.
Runway strives to recruit and retain exceptional talent from diverse backgrounds while ensuring pay equity for our team. Our salary ranges are based on competitive market rates for our size, stage and industry, and salary is just one part of the overall compensation package we provide.
There are many factors that go into salary determinations, including relevant experience, skill level and qualifications assessed during the interview process, and maintaining internal equity with peers on the team. The range shared below is a general expectation for the function as posted, but we are also open to considering candidates who may be more or less experienced than outlined in the job description. In this case, we will communicate any updates in the expected salary range.
Lastly, the provided range is the expected salary for candidates in the U.S. Outside of those regions, there may be a change in the range, which again, will be communicated to candidates.
