About You
As Head of Investor Capital and Relations, Middle East, you will operate independently in region with a global reporting line and executive sponsorship, and with the mandate to build the firm's Middle East franchise from first principles: the coverage map, the institutional relationships, the office and, ultimately, the regional team.
This is a builder's role. You will own senior coverage of the region's sovereign wealth funds, government related entities and family offices, lead the office establishment and hub determination between DIFC and ADGM, and coordinate closely with counsel and the firm's government relations workstreams as you build a durable Gulf franchise.
About the Opportunity
Xsolla is seeking a Head of Investor Capital and Relations to be the firm's senior presence in the Gulf and own its most strategically important capital relationships: the region's sovereign wealth funds, government related entities and principal family offices. The GCC is executing one of the most ambitious government backed investment programs in the history of the games industry, and this seat exists to convert that alignment into anchor limited partner relationships, co-investment partnerships and strategic financings for the firm's investment vehicles and transaction pipeline.
The corporate title for this seat is Executive Director, with a defined path to Managing Director tied to franchise milestones. The seat will have one direct report initially, a Regional Relationship Manager, to be hired following office establishment.
The Head of Investor Capital and Relations, Middle East will be based in Dubai (DIFC) or Abu Dhabi (ADGM), with the hub determination in progress and open to the successful candidate's input, and will report to the Senior Vice President of Global Strategic Initiatives and Partnerships. The role requires travel of 50 percent or more across the GCC and wider MENA, with periodic travel to Los Angeles and New York. This is a full time position; the regional package will be structured with local counsel.
Expressions of Interest
Xsolla welcomes confidential conversations with qualified candidates and trusted introductions. Please direct expressions of interest, together with a resume and a short note on relevant experience, to the Xsolla Talent Acquisition team via the application button linked below.
About Us
Xsolla is a global commerce and financial technology company for the video game industry. Headquartered in Los Angeles with offices and operations worldwide, Xsolla provides the tools, infrastructure and capital solutions that help developers and publishers fund, launch, distribute and monetize their games across every market and platform. The company serves thousands of game businesses globally, from independent studios to the largest publishers, and is expanding a dedicated capital markets and investment platform serving the interactive entertainment ecosystem.
The Capital Markets Group
The Capital Markets Group (CMG) sits within Xsolla's Global Strategic Initiatives function and operates as the firm's institutional capital platform. The group originates, structures and executes financing and investment solutions across games and interactive entertainment, and is building a franchise modeled on the leading independent capital markets and special situations advisory platforms.
The group operates multiple investment vehicles spanning debt financing and credit markets, alongside special situations and principal investment strategies serving the interactive entertainment ecosystem. These activities are supported by a proprietary market intelligence system, a global events and convening program, and a governed institutional relationship platform covering LPs, sovereign investors, family offices, banks and intermediaries across the Americas, MENA, APAC and Europe.
CMG operates from hubs in Los Angeles, New York, the Middle East and Singapore. The group is in its foundation stage: hires at every level join a live deal environment with executive sponsorship, meaningful ownership and the mandate to build a durable franchise rather than inherit one.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities
Sovereign and Institutional Coverage
Own sovereign coverage. Own senior coverage of the region's sovereign wealth funds and government related entities, including their gaming, technology and entertainment investment vehicles, with documented access paths and personal ownership of the firm's most senior regional relationships.
Build family office coverage. Build and maintain coverage of the GCC's principal single and multi family offices, regional institutional investors and banks, with complete, current records in the firm's relationship platform.
Map the counterparties. Map the decision making architecture of each priority institution, including investment committee cadence, mandate criteria, co-investment appetite and approval chains, and maintain that intelligence as a living asset.
Capital Formation and Transactions
Lead regional fundraising. Lead regional pre-marketing and fundraising processes for the firm's investment vehicles within applicable private placement and promotion regimes, coordinating with counsel on the marketing approach for each jurisdiction.
Originate co-investment dialogues. Originate and manage sovereign co-investment dialogues alongside fund principals, and support strategic and government aligned financing conversations through to execution.
Own diligence processes. Manage institutional diligence processes end to end, including DDQ coordination, data room support, operational due diligence visits and reference management.
Franchise and Regional Platform
Advise on the hub decision. Advise the hub determination between DIFC and ADGM, and lead the establishment of the regional office with Legal and Finance, including regulatory positioning of the firm's regional activities.
Build the region's presence. Build the firm's presence across the region's priority investment forums and convening platforms, and run a regional events calendar that converts presence into qualified pipeline.
Coordinate with government relations. Coordinate deliberately with the firm's government relations and sovereign engagement workstreams so that capital coverage and institutional diplomacy reinforce one another.
Build the regional team. Recruit and develop the regional Relationship Manager and subsequent hires; establish coverage and CRM standards for the region.
Risk and Controls
Ensure regulatory compliance. Ensure all regional marketing and promotion activity complies with applicable regimes, including DIFC and ADGM promotion rules and the private placement frameworks of each GCC jurisdiction, in coordination with counsel.
Maintain counterparty awareness. Maintain rigorous counterparty awareness, including KYC, AML and sanctions screening coordination with the firm's compliance processes, and escalate reputational risk considerations early.

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

An overview of this role
As a Senior Backend Engineer on the Duo Chat team, focused on Chat Engine, you'll build the core AI capabilities behind GitLab Duo Chat, the natural-language and agentic interface to the GitLab DevSecOps platform. Much of your work will involve building flow components and agentic flows in the Flow Registry, the Python framework built on LangGraph within our Duo Workflow Service that powers agentic chat, and integrating them with the GitLab Rails monolith.
You'll own complex backend features from start to finish across both services. You'll integrate large language models and orchestrate multi-agent flows so customers can work faster and more securely across the software development lifecycle. This work sits where GitLab's core platform meets its AI strategy, and reliability, performance, and answer quality directly shape the customer experience.
What you’ll do
Design and build flow components and agentic flows in the Flow Registry using Python and LangGraph within the Duo Workflow Service. These reusable building blocks power agentic Duo Chat and, increasingly, other AI features across GitLab.
Develop, ship, and maintain backend features for GitLab Duo Chat across the Python Duo Workflow Service and the GitLab Rails monolith in a secure, well-tested, and performant way.
Integrate new generative AI models, providers, tools, and multi-agent orchestration patterns into Duo Chat to expand its capabilities and improve answer quality.
Design, implement, and review GraphQL and Representational State Transfer (REST) application programming interfaces (APIs) and related monolith logic, including chat entry points, permissions, and foundational-flow registration. Keep contracts with frontend clients and host systems reliable and clear.
Improve debugging, observability, and test coverage using pytest, RSpec, and related frameworks; track and improve latency, error rates, and test coverage so AI-powered chat workflows stay reliable at scale.
Collaborate with Product, User Experience (UX), frontend, and AI specialists to refine requirements and deliver high-quality improvements through iteration.
Document standards, patterns, and learnings with other engineers, raising the bar for safe AI integration and evidence-driven engineering.
Participate in Tier 2 on-call rotations to troubleshoot production issues, contribute to root cause analysis, and strengthen resiliency.
What you’ll bring
Significant experience building and maintaining production Python backends, including APIs, data models, and asynchronous or long-running workloads.
Practical experience designing and shipping AI-powered, agentic backend features, including large language model integration, tool or function calling, and multi-agent orchestration. You use sound judgment about large language model limitations and safe use in production.
Working proficiency in Ruby on Rails, or a strong willingness to learn it. Duo Chat integrates deeply with the GitLab monolith for chat entry points, GraphQL, permissions, and flow registration, and most of GitLab's codebase is written in Ruby.
Proficiency designing or extending REST or GraphQL APIs with attention to scalability, maintainability, and backward compatibility.
Strong Structured Query Language (SQL) skills and familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, including efficient queries and data modeling.
Ability to find, diagnose, and prevent performance and reliability problems at scale.
Experience solving technical problems of high scope and complexity and advocating for quality, security, and performance improvements across your team.
Openness to learning and collaborating in an async-first, distributed team, applying transferable skills from related technologies or domains. Hands-on experience with agent frameworks such as LangGraph or LangChain is a strong plus.
About the team
We're part of GitLab's AI Engineering organization and own the AI-powered chat experience embedded across the GitLab platform. Chat Engine is the backend-focused team within the Duo Chat group.
We're backend, frontend, and AI specialists working asynchronously across time zones, using issues, merge requests, and documentation as our main collaboration tools. Our focus is to expand generative and agentic AI capabilities, improve the performance and reliability of chat workflows, and strengthen the debugging and testing foundations that let us run AI features safely at scale.

About Vercel:
Vercel is the agentic infrastructure company, freeing people and agents to ship what's next. For more than a decade we've helped builders move from idea to production with speed, security, and exceptional developer experience.
Now we're scaling our products for both agents and people to ship and run software, built in the open and trusted by OpenAI, PayPal, Ramp, Supreme, and millions of developers worldwide.
About the role
We are looking for a Head of Solutions Architecture to join our global Field Engineering team. You will build and lead the technical sales organization behind our relationships with the new and leading startups shaping how web and AI products get built. These teams ship using Vercel's core platform, Next.js, and our AI stack, and the technical decisions made in their first architecture review often determine how far they scale with us.
You will own a global team of Solutions Architects within our Startups sales organization. You will set the bar for technical excellence across the deal cycle, coach your team through strategic accounts and critical deals, and step in yourself when it matters most: architecture reviews, migration plans, and high-stakes presentations. Beyond running the team, you will shape how Vercel wins in this segment. You will turn patterns from the field into repeatable plays and carry what startups tell you back to our engineering org so it shows up in the product.
You will report directly to our Global Head of Field Engineering and partner closely with Sales and Field Engineering leadership to win new business and expand existing accounts. You will also own org planning, staffing, budgeting, and recruiting as you build the team this segment needs.
This is a hybrid position based in San Francisco, Austin, or New York, with 3 days per week in office.
What you'll do
Lead, develop, and manage Vercel's global Startups SA team, ensuring technical excellence across the pre-sales cycle.
Provide hands-on support for key accounts as needed (presentations, architecture reviews, migration plans).
Oversee and coach SA engagement on strategic accounts and critical deals, developing repeatable plays from trends you are seeing across your team.
Track and report SA performance to Sales and Field Engineering leadership quarterly.
Own org planning, staffing, budgeting, and recruiting.
What you need
10+ years of experience in Solutions Architecture, Sales Engineering, or similar technical pre-sales roles, with at least 5 years in a formal leadership position.
Strong background in modern web technologies (JavaScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, APIs, cloud infrastructure).
Proven ability to lead, coach, and scale technical teams in a high-growth environment.
Demonstrated success working with startups as customers across diverse industries.
Strong understanding of modern software development workflows (CI/CD, DevOps, frontend frameworks).
Experience collaborating with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to drive customer success.
Bonus if you
Have experience working with Vercel, Next.js, or similar frontend frameworks.
Have led SA teams at a high-growth developer tool or cloud infrastructure company.
Bring expertise in developer tooling, edge computing, or performance optimization.
Are comfortable presenting at conferences, webinars, or large-scale customer events.
Benefits & Compensation:
Competitive compensation package, including equity.
Inclusive Healthcare Package.
Learn and Grow - we provide mentorship and send you to events that help you build your network and skills.
Flexible Time Off.
We will provide you the gear you need to do your role, and a WFH budget for you to outfit your space as needed.
The San Francisco, CA OTE pay range for this position is $382,000 - $485,000 OTE. Actual salary will be based on job-related skills, experience, and location. Compensation outside of San Francisco may be adjusted based on employee location. The total compensation package may include benefits, equity-based compensation, and eligibility for a company bonus or variable pay program depending on the role. Your recruiter can share more details during the hiring process.
