With 20 offices across six continents and London as our HQ, we’re shaping the future of fintech – and we’re just getting started.
As a Technical Account Manager (TAM) at Checkout.com http://Checkout.com, you will manage a portfolio drawn from our largest and most strategic enterprise merchants. TAM coverage is reserved for a select group of accounts, and you will work on them alongside our Account Management (AM) team. You will be responsible for the technical relationship, and together with the AM you will grow and maintain every account in the portfolio. You do that by unlocking the technical elements, removing friction from our technical products and, most importantly, making sure each customer has the best possible payment performance and technical health, so the commercial relationship can grow.
What you'll be doing:
- Customer Partnership: Be the primary technical point of contact for the merchants in your portfolio. Build trusted relationships with their technical and product teams and run the technical part of quarterly business reviews, while the AM owns the commercial relationship and pricing.
- Payment Performance: Monitor acceptance rates, decline patterns and authentication results across your portfolio, find what is costing merchants approvals and fix it.
- Technical Consultancy: Root-cause decline spikes, integration errors and configuration problems using log monitoring and data querying tools, and see them through to resolution. Collaborate with issuers, card schemes and our internal teams that manage those relationships to resolve systemic issues.
- Product Adoption: Lead the rollout of new products, payment methods and technical migrations as merchants expand with Checkout.com http://Checkout.com.
- Account Growth: Spot growth opportunities in your merchants' roadmaps and collaborate with the AM on the best way to position new products and solutions. Strengthen upsell conversations with demos, workshops and technical training on new features.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with many teams across Checkout.com http://Checkout.com, including Product and Engineering, to translate merchant requirements into clear action items that deliver better outcomes for the customer, such as improved payment performance.
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role, managing internal and external stakeholders up to senior level.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex and unfamiliar technical issues independently and drive them to resolution.
- Comfortable with core technical concepts, such as APIs and how front-end and back-end systems work together, and able to explain them clearly when advising merchants.
- Strong data literacy, with the ability to use query tools and AI to analyse data, extract insights and turn them into improvements.
- Experience with data querying and logging tools such as Datadog and BigQuery.
- Comfortable using AI tools and agents in your day-to-day work to investigate issues faster, automate repetitive tasks and scale your impact.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites as required.
- Experience in payments or SaaS (software as a service) is a plus.

Who We Are
At OKX, we believe that the future will be reshaped by crypto, and ultimately contribute to every individual's freedom.
OKX is a leading crypto exchange, and the developer of OKX Wallet, giving millions access to crypto trading and decentralized crypto applications (dApps). OKX is also a trusted brand by hundreds of large institutions seeking access to crypto markets. We are safe and reliable, backed by our Proof of Reserves.
Across our multiple offices globally, we are united by our core principles:
We Before Me
,
Do the Right Thing
, and
Get Things Done
. These shared values drive our culture, shape our processes, and foster a friendly, rewarding, and diverse environment for every OK-er. OKX is part of OKG, a group that brings the value of Blockchain to users around the world, through our leading products OKX, OKX Wallet, OKLink and more.
About the Opportunity
OKX is hiring a Head of Tax Information Reporting to build and run our global tax information reporting function. The function covers the OECD Crypto-Asset Reporting Framework (CARF), the EU's DAC8 directive, the amended Common Reporting Standard (CRS 2.0), FATCA, and US Form 1099-DA across multiple reporting entities and a large global user base, with annual reporting across the EU, Brazil, and other CARF jurisdictions.
Most of the work is data: getting the right user, transaction, and balance data out of our platform, reconciling it, and turning it into accurate filings. You will own the relationship with our reporting vendor, the data specification that feeds it, and the quality checks that decide whether a file goes out.
You will run a central function that owns policy, data, vendor, QA, and submission for every entity in scope. Each reporting entity names an accountable signatory. Local compliance and entity leads are consulted on local requirements and support registration where the law requires a local filer. You will work closely with Product, Data Engineering, Finance Operations, Group Tax, Legal, Data Privacy, and the local entity leads.
What You’ll Be Doing
Own the end-to-end CARF, DAC8, CRS 2.0, FATCA, and 1099-DA reporting cycle for every OKX entity in scope: population definition, self-certification coverage, data extraction and reconciliation, file production, QA, filing, corrections, and tax authority queries.
Define and own the data specification that feeds the tax platform vendor: which users, which transactions, which balances, how they are aggregated by user and jurisdiction, and how they reconcile to the ledger. Work with Product and Data Engineering to build and test the pipeline.
Build and run the QA framework. Reconcile every file to source, validate it against the OECD XML schema and local variants, sample-test self-certification reasonableness checks, and run cross-entity consistency checks for users who hold accounts with more than one OKX entity. Nothing files without your release.
Manage the tax platform vendor: contract scope, delivery calendar, test cycles, output validation, issue resolution, and the annual renewal decision.
Set the group reporting policy and interpret the regimes for OKX: reportable crypto-assets, transfers to unhosted wallets, staking and reward income, retail payment thresholds, residency tie-breakers, and TIN rules, exercising independent technical judgment, supported by Legal and external tax advisers.
Own the global tax self-certification design in onboarding, including validation rules, refresh triggers, and the backlog remediation program for existing users, working with Compliance and Product.
Define the process for restricting undocumented accounts under DAC8 and CARF, including reason codes and customer communications, with restrictions applied automatically in Product and monitored by the central team.
Maintain the entity-by-entity readiness tracker covering domestic enactment, registration, self-certification coverage, and deadlines. Report weekly to the CCO and monthly to the CARF steering committee.
Hands-on leader. Build a small, senior team, scaled through the reporting vendor and outside advisers. Coordinate with and train local compliance and entity leads.
Support independent testing by Compliance Monitoring, Risk, and Internal Audit, and support tax authority examinations with complete, reproducible records.
What We Look For In You
7+ years in tax information reporting, tax operations, or regulatory data reporting at a global exchange, broker, bank, fintech, or digital asset platform, including at least 3 years leading a team.

Experience building a function from a small base: writing the policy, designing the controls, hiring the team, and running the first cycle.

Judgment on when to escalate, comfort working across US, EU, and Asia time zones, and a record of meeting hard filing deadlines.

About the role:
You’ll turn marketing and product data into clear answers on launches, audiences, and acquisition channels, so teams decide faster and put budget where it works.
What you’ll do:
- Build and maintain analyses, datasets, reports, dashboards, and data pipelines for marketing and product teams.
- Interpret trends, performance drivers, and data quality issues behind launches, campaigns, and acquisition.
- Work with business, technology, product, and risk teams to turn data needs into insights they can act on.
What you’ll own:
- Run experiments for product and ad campaign launches, from large releases to small iterations. You’ll design and set them up, calculate the economics, track progress, and analyze results.
- Segment our existing customer audience, assess its quality, and enrich segments with additional data and likely customer profiles, then feed them to retargeting, CRM, and other channels.
- Run BI reporting: structure the data, keep data quality in check, and make sure every report holds up.
- Back up the performance marketing team when data breaks, attribution needs fixing, or the core analysts need extra capacity.
- Assess potential acquisition channels, put numbers on ideas and experiments, and pull internal data for go-to-market plans, so launches rely on real figures.
- Document definitions, assumptions, data lineage, and recurring outputs so other teams can reuse them.
What makes you a strong fit:
- 1.5+ years of experience in data analytics
- Strong SQL
- Hands-on A/B testing experience, including multi-group designs or advanced methods
- Close attention to detail
- Comfort setting your own priorities and working through unclear requests
- Clear communication with stakeholders, acting as a partner to the product team rather than only executing requests
What we offer:
Ownership and flexibility
- Stock option plan — four-year vesting with a 25% cliff after the first year
- Fully remote work with core collaboration hours from 12:00 to 6:00 PM Manila time (UTC+8)
- Company-provided tools and equipment
Health and time off
- Medical insurance support for you and your family through co-funding or reimbursement, depending on your location and subject to policy limits
- Access to an internal mental health support specialist
- 22 vacation days, Philippine public holidays, and 15 sick days
Growth and team experience
- Opportunities to learn and share your expertise through internal expert meetups, external conferences, speaking opportunities, and industry publications
- Company-sponsored trips to Manila to meet and work with your team in person
- High-performing teams can earn a dedicated beach house week in Southeast Asia
We believe strong teams are built by people with different backgrounds, experiences, and points of view. Salmon is an equal opportunity employer, and we make hiring decisions based on skills, experience, and potential.
