Location: Denver, Colorado, United States, AMER
From Fivetran’s founding until now, our mission has remained the same: to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. We’re proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven.
About Us
Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industry-leading companies with a shared mission: helping organizations unlock the full value of their data. Together, we’re delivering the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data — from the moment data moves, through every transformation, to the context teams and AI systems rely on. Fivetran helps organizations automate data movement across the systems, clouds, engines, and tools they rely on. dbt Labs pioneered analytics engineering, helping teams transform data into reliable, governed insights. Together, we support thousands of organizations as they build a trusted foundation for analytics, AI, and better business decisions. As we bring our teams and technology together, we’re building on the strengths of both companies while continuing to deliver the products and experiences our customers know and trust. It’s an exciting time to join us: we’re creating a company with the scale, talent, and technology to help more organizations put their data to work with greater speed, confidence, and impact. During this transition period, you may see references to both Fivetran and dbt Labs throughout our recruiting process as we integrate our teams, systems, and career sites.
About the Role
Fivetran and dbt are building the open data infrastructure that powers AI agents you can trust.
Fivetran is looking for a Senior R&D Software Engineer to join our fast-growing Fivetran AI team. Your data stack was built for humans — but agents are the new primary data consumers, and they have fundamentally different requirements. Agents can’t intuit context; it must be explicitly codified, governed, and traceable. We’re building the governed context layer that solves this problem: Agents Schema, an open standard for storing agent-ready context directly in the customer’s own data warehouse, and Context Builder, the managed service that keeps it filled and fresh.
This role goes well beyond standard engineering. You’ll research emerging techniques in the fast-moving AI landscape and bring real product and market understanding to decide which ideas are worth pursuing — and then you’ll take what you’ve learned and ship it as production software. We’re looking for a true generalist who is willing and able to wear whatever hat the moment calls for: prototyping a new retrieval technique one week, hardening a backend service the next, then doing SRE or QA work when the team needs it. Fivetran AI operates like a startup within Fivetran, and we need engineers who thrive on that range rather than staying in one lane.
Fivetran is the epitome of data-driven development — our engineering team is focused on building a world class product that:
Builds Infrastructure Agents Can Trust
— join our mission to deliver the governed context layer that AI agents depend on: accurate semantic definitions, traceable lineage, data contracts, and auditable history baked in from the start.
Embraces Open Standards
— help build portable, interoperable data infrastructure: Agents Schema, open formats (Iceberg, Delta Lake), MCP-native interfaces, and connector skills that work with any model and any compute.
Scales Without Breaking
— work to make Fivetran AI efficient at agent scale, where unit costs deflate as volume grows and context retrieval is fast, accurate, and cost-controlled.
We emphasize using no-nonsense tools and take great pride in the simplicity and effectiveness of the systems we build. Our back-end is built on Java, Python, Postgres, and Kubernetes, and our front-end is built on React and TypeScript.
This is a full-time hybrid position based out of our Denver, CO office. Our hybrid work model offers a blend of remote flexibility and in-person collaboration, including two days in the office each week to connect and build as a team.
Technologies You’ll Use
Python, Java, SQL, dbt, LLMs (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini), vector databases, BigQuery / Snowflake / Databricks, MCP protocol, React, TypeScript, Kubernetes
What You’ll Do
Research emerging techniques in retrieval, reasoning, and agentic AI, and evaluate what’s actually relevant to Fivetran AI’s roadmap
Prototype new ideas quickly, then take the ones that prove out and turn them into shipped, production-grade features
Build and maintain both back-end and front-end systems for the Fivetran AI product — from Agents Schema pipelines to the Context Catalog UI
Contribute to the AISQL capability: natural language to SQL grounded in dbt metric definitions, executed natively against the warehouse
Take ownership of production reliability: on-call rotation, incident response, and SRE work to keep the platform trustworthy at scale
Write and maintain tests, and do hands-on QA to catch issues before customers do
Use coding agents to automate the repetitive parts of the job, freeing up time for the research and design work that needs a human
Partner with product and design, bringing your own understanding of the AI tooling market to shape what gets built next
Develop software designs and contribute to the technical roadmap for the Fivetran AI platform
Contribute to hiring by participating in the interview process
Skills We’re Looking For
5+ years of programming experience across Python and/or Java, with the ability to move fluidly between back-end and front-end work
Considered a trusted expert in your subject area, capable of executing complex, ambiguous tasks with minimal hand-holding
Comfortable reading AI/ML research and turning promising findings into working prototypes
Strong product and market awareness — able to judge which emerging techniques are worth building versus which are hype
Experience with SQL and data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar)
Genuine willingness to work across the full stack: research, backend, frontend, SRE, and QA, as the team’s needs demand
Writes well-structured, performant code and can dive into unfamiliar codebases to suggest improvements
Experience using coding agents or similar AI tooling to speed up day-to-day engineering work
Analytical mindset to identify gaps in existing systems and design practical, pragmatic improvements
Thrives in a startup-like environment with shifting priorities and a high degree of ownership
Bonus Skills
Experience with LLM-powered applications — RAG pipelines, embeddings, evaluation frameworks, or agent frameworks
Familiarity with semantic layers — dbt, LookML, Sigma, or similar
Experience with the MCP (Model Context Protocol) ecosystem or building AI agent integrations
Background in site reliability engineering — monitoring, alerting, incident response
Experience in data processing (ETL, ELT) and/or building data connectors
Experienced working in a cloud environment utilizing AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, or Docker
Contributions to open source AI or data projects

Staff Forward Deployed Engineer, Agentic SDLC
An overview of this role
GitLab’s Forward Deployed Engineering team is a field-situated product engineering function focused on strategic customer outcomes, artificial intelligence (AI) adoption, and direct contributions to GitLab’s product. This isn't a traditional field engineering, solutions architecture, or professional services role. As a Staff Forward Deployed Engineer, you'll work closely with customers while maintaining the technical standards and contribution discipline of a Staff-level product engineer.
You'll work where strategic customer urgency, complex technical ambiguity, and GitLab product execution intersect. You'll partner directly with strategic customers and teams across Product, Engineering, Support, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Solutions Architecture (SA), Customer Success Architecture (CSA), Customer Success Management (CSM), and Professional Services. You'll diagnose and resolve high-impact adoption blockers, contribute production-quality fixes and features, and turn what you learn into repeatable patterns for GitLab and its customers.
Why this role exists
Strategic customers sometimes encounter challenges that are too broad, deep, urgent, or cross-functional for any single team to own from start to finish. These challenges may involve product gaps, performance degradation, scale bottlenecks, AI governance, adoption blockers, architectural constraints, Git usage patterns, continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) complexity, application programming interface (API) automation, security requirements, or operational instability.
Forward Deployed Engineering provides technical stewardship in these moments. The team doesn't simply observe, report, or escalate. You'll engage directly, diagnose the underlying technical problem, collaborate with the right teams, contribute code or technical solutions where appropriate, and transition the outcome into normal ownership once the customer is stable and the learning can be reused.
What you’ll do
Product contribution
Contribute production-quality code to GitLab’s product and adjacent systems.
Develop bug fixes, features, integrations, tooling, and performance improvements when strategic customer outcomes require direct engineering work.
Work within GitLab’s product and engineering processes, including issue discovery, merge request creation, testing, review, documentation, and maintainability.
Partner with Product and Engineering so customer-driven solutions support long-term product direction rather than becoming one-off customizations.
Turn blockers discovered in the field into durable product improvements, reference architectures, documentation, and repeatable implementation patterns.
Strategic technical stewardship
Engage with strategically important customers when adoption, retention, executive confidence, or public trust is materially at risk.
Diagnose complex problems across GitLab product behavior, customer architecture, Git internals, CI/CD workflows, API usage, observability, infrastructure, networking, and cloud environments.
Coordinate across Product, Engineering, SRE, Support, SA, CSA, CSM, Professional Services, and customer technical teams to drive resolution from discovery through handoff.
Provide recommendations grounded in data, traces, and systems analysis to improve GitLab usage, workflows, automation, and architecture.
Create durable outcomes without establishing permanent dependency on Forward Deployed Engineering.
AI adoption and agentic software development lifecycle
Drive governed, measurable, and production-oriented adoption of GitLab Duo Agent Platform with strategic customers.
Identify and resolve AI adoption blockers involving governance, usage controls, auditability, security, compliance, operating models, workflow design, and integrations.
Develop customer-safe adoption patterns for the agentic software development lifecycle (SDLC), AI-assisted development, intent-based review, AI governance, and human-in-the-loop software delivery.
Partner with Product, Engineering, Field, and Customer Success teams to turn AI adoption learning into reusable guidance and product improvements.
Thought leadership
Create technical narratives grounded in customer experience and product reality that can help shape the industry’s approach.
Contribute to Well-Architected Frameworks, whitepapers, webinars, reference architectures, technical strategy memos, and adoption frameworks.
Guide ideas through discovery, formulation, validation, amplification, and adoption across GitLab.
Partner with SA, CSA, Product, Engineering, Marketing, Product Marketing Management, CSM, Support, and executive stakeholders to make technical thought leadership a shared company capability.
What you’ll bring
Staff-level experience building, operating, or improving complex production software systems.
Experience contributing to large, mature product codebases with high standards for testing, maintainability, performance, and security.
Strong Ruby on Rails or Go experience and the ability to contribute directly to GitLab’s product and adjacent systems.

What this role is not
This role isn't:
A generic field engineering role.
A proof-of-concept factory.
A replacement for Solutions Architecture, Customer Success Architecture, Customer Success Management, Professional Services, Support, SRE, Product, or Engineering.
A customer-specific customization function.
Unbilled Professional Services.
A requirements-gathering role that only escalates to Product.
An AI evangelism role disconnected from product execution.
Success measures
Success in this role may include:
Stabilizing strategic customer adoption or retention risks.
Fixing product bugs or contributing features.
Removing AI adoption blockers for strategic accounts.
Creating reusable implementation patterns and transitioning them to long-term owners.
Producing or enabling Well-Architected Frameworks, whitepapers, webinars, or technical narratives.
Resolving cross-functional customer challenges without creating permanent dependency on Forward Deployed Engineering.
Equipping Product, Engineering, Support, CSA, CSM, Professional Services, and SA teams with better guidance based on learning from the field.
Increasing adoption and effective use of GitLab capabilities, especially GitLab Duo and GitLab Duo Agent Platform, in targeted accounts.
About the team
The Forward Deployed Engineering team connects strategic customer needs with GitLab product execution. The team works directly with customers and across GitLab to resolve complex adoption challenges, contribute durable product improvements, and create reusable technical guidance. Its goal is to stabilize urgent situations, improve the product, and transition ongoing ownership to the appropriate team rather than create a permanent dependency.
Ideal candidate profile
You're a Staff-level product or platform engineer who can operate in the field without becoming field-only. You're comfortable reading traces, writing production code, debugging architecture, discussing AI governance, leading a customer technical session, opening a merge request, outlining a whitepaper, and coordinating across teams to achieve a strategic customer outcome.
You're not simply a strong communicator with technical awareness. You're a credible engineer with the judgment, presence, and narrative ability to turn customer reality into product contributions, adoption guidance, and company-level thought leadership.
We welcome candidates with different backgrounds and levels of experience. Many successful candidates don't meet every qualification. If you're excited about this role, we encourage you to apply and let our recruiting team assess your application.

Our Ethos
We believe in an open and flat structure. You will be able to grow into the role that most aligns with your goals. Our team members at all levels have the freedom to explore ideas and impact the roadmap and vision of our company.
About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Compliance Analyst to join our Compliance team with a primary focus on KYC and KYB onboarding operations. This is a do-er role - you will be in the queue every day reviewing applications, making risk decisions, and working directly with partners and customers to move onboarding forward without sacrificing compliance quality. You will be expected to own your work end to end, exercise sound judgment on complex cases, and contribute to building and improving the processes that support our onboarding program.
This role sits at the intersection of compliance and operations. You are not here to advise - you are here to execute, and to do it well.
What You Will Do
- Review and disposition transaction monitoring alerts and KYC/KYB onboarding applications end to end - including customer profile review, document verification, beneficial ownership analysis, sanctions and PEP screening, adverse media assessment, and transactional activity analysis
- Conduct enhanced due diligence on High Risk applicants - including source of funds and source of wealth assessment, business model review, and full beneficial ownership chain documentation
- Make well-reasoned SAR recommendations - clearly articulating why activity is or is not suspicious and documenting your analysis in a manner that is complete and defensible to a regulator
- Draft SAR narratives that meet FinCEN quality standards
- Send RFIs to customers or partners where additional information is needed to resolve an alert or application and follow through to receipt and documentation of the response
- Support periodic KYC refresh reviews on existing customers as part of the Company's ongoing due diligence program
- Contribute to onboarding and investigation policy development - if you see a gap, flag it and propose a solution
- Stay current on FinCEN advisories, FATF typologies, and emerging financial crime trends relevant to Rain's product set - including stablecoin, virtual asset, and agentic payment typologies
What You Bring
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a compliance, KYC, AML Investigations or onboarding role at a FinTech, payments company, or crypto company
- Demonstrated experience reviewing KYB applications for business entities including beneficial ownership analysis, entity structure review, and corporate document verification
- Experience with OFAC, PEP, and adverse media screening tools - comfortable making independent screening determinations and documenting your reasoning
- Demonstrated experience conducting end-to-end AML investigations and preparing SAR-quality case documentation
- Working knowledge of BSA/AML program requirements and FinCEN SAR filing rules
- Experience with transaction monitoring platforms
- Familiarity with blockchain analytics tools and on-chain transaction analysis
- Strong written communication skills
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment where you manage multiple applications simultaneously without losing attention to detail
- A do-er mentality - you are self-directed, take ownership of your queue, and do not wait to be told what to do next
- CAMS certification or progress toward certification is a plus
What Success Looks Like
- Applications are reviewed thoroughly, dispositioned accurately, and documented completely - every time
- Your SLA compliance rate is consistently above 95%
- Escalations are well-supported - when you escalate, the reviewer has everything they need to make a decision without coming back to you for more information
- You are identifying process gaps and bringing solutions, not just flagging problems

Figma is growing our team of passionate creatives and builders on a mission to make design accessible to all. Figma’s platform helps teams bring ideas to life—whether you're brainstorming, creating a prototype, translating designs into code, or iterating with AI. From idea to product, Figma empowers teams to streamline workflows, move faster, and work together in real time from anywhere in the world. If you're excited to shape the future of design and collaboration, join us!
Figma's distribution partnerships team is passionate about unlocking new sources of revenue and hyper-scaling growth through the power of strategic alliances. We are looking for an experienced senior partnerships leader to manage and develop our AMER distribution partnerships team while personally owning Figma's most strategically complex global alliances - including our relationships with global system integrators and high-priority service partners.
This is a player/coach role: you will both lead and develop a team of Distribution Partner Managers and personally own the execution of Figma's most important and complex GTM partner relationships. You will build partner program playbooks, establish engagement frameworks, and help define the future of the distribution partnerships function as Figma continues to scale globally.
This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.
What you'll do at Figma:
Lead, develop, and manage a team of 2 to 3 Distribution Partner Managers across North America (this may grow over time based on results and quantifiable impact); provide consistent coaching, clear goal-setting, and formal performance management
Personally own and manage complex partner relationships with large services organizations (such as global SIs, major agencies, and consulting firms); includes executive-level engagement, mutual success planning, and driving positive post-sale outcomes / partner-influenced revenue
Build program playbooks, partner engagement frameworks, and onboarding models from scratch - creating scalable tools that the global distribution partner team can adopt and execute
Develop new partner strategies for emerging, high-growth opportunities at Figma; includes identifying new types of distribution partners and leading early-stage partner recruitment
Represent the distribution partnerships function with VP+ stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, GTM Operations, and Product; serve as a senior voice for the partner program in cross-functional forums
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
12+ years of professional experience in partnerships, business development, strategic alliances, or related GTM roles
3+ years of direct people management experience, including full performance cycles (goal-setting, coaching, performance management) for ICs at a high-growth SaaS company
Proven track record of personally managing executive-level relationships with global SIs or Tier-1 consulting firms while driving measurable commercial outcomes
Experience building partner programs or engagement frameworks from scratch - not just inheriting and refining mature, established programs
Demonstrated player / coach mentality - comfortable being both a manager and a hands-on individual contributor at the same time
Strong cross-functional influence skills - represent the partner function credibly with VP-level stakeholders to successfully gain buy-in for partner investments
While it's not required, it's an added plus if you also have:
Knowledge of US Federal or public sector partner motions and procurement processes
Experience developing partner programs in Latin America, including Spanish and / or Portuguese language skills
Previous time inside a global SI or professional services firm in a client-delivery or alliance management capacity
Familiarity with UX/UI design principles, collaboration tools, and AI-supported digital product development workflows

This new role will report directly to the Global Head of Workplace Engineering, and sits within our Data discipline inside of our People department. Data Stewardship & Product Storytelling: Act as the "Translator-in-Chief". Take complex data models and turn them into compelling narratives. Lead the development of AI Agents that can surface insights to managers in real-time. Ensure the "People Data Stack" is secure, GDPR/privacy-compliant, and acts as a "Single Source of Truth" across all People related offerings, products and services.
“Effectiveness at Work” Strategy: Identify opportunities to leverage “High Tech” solutions in our People offerings, and free up more time for “High Touch”, human involvement, thereby maximizing human value.
What we are looking for in you
Background in data science, mathematics, or engineering, skilled in advanced statistics, data wrangling/science, databases (SQL, etc.) or software engineering.
Strength in coding/scripting languages (Python, R, JavaScript, etc.), software engineering, visualization (e.g. Superset, Tableau), and automation.

Synthesia is the world’s leading AI video platform for business, used by over 90% of the Fortune 100. Founded in 2017, the company is headquartered in London, with offices and teams across Europe and the US.
As AI continues to shape the way we live and work, Synthesia develops products to enhance visual communication and enterprise skill development, helping people work better and stay at the center of successful organizations.
Following our recent Series E funding round, where we raised $200 million, our valuation stands at $4 billion. Our total funding exceeds $530 million from premier investors including Accel, NVentures (Nvidia's VC arm), Kleiner Perkins, GV, and Evantic Capital, alongside the founders and operators of Stripe, Datadog, Miro, and Webflow.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Synthesia's long-term vision is to build the best human-interactive models: systems that don't just talk to people, but perceive and respond to them, reacting to a user's actions and emotions, not only their words. Today over 60,000 businesses rely on our platform, and the next leap in what we can offer them depends on models that combine text, audio, and video into a single real-time interactive experience.
As a Staff Research Engineer, you'll join the Voice team within our 40+ person R&D department, but your scope will extend well beyond voice. You'll help define and drive that broader vision across teams, proposing ambitious research directions and taking direct ownership of the design and implementation of its most critical components. You'll work directly with our voice lead and collaborate tightly with our video teams and other senior members of the org.
Concretely, you'll work on voice to voice models that produce text and voice simultaneously. Models that can reason, interrupt the user with back channeling and talk. Models that feel like you are having a natural conversation with, without the feeling of turn taking that is dominant in current speech to speech models. Your role would be to partner in defining a roadmap, implementing it and shipping the outcomes to product.
What you'll do
- Shape our roadmap to create new model capabilities and unlock new functionality for our customer base, on both short and long time horizons.
- Propose novel multi-modal system architectures (especially text and voice).
- Develop and evaluate streaming and conversational systems for low-latency, interactive voice-video synthesis.
- Design solutions that reinforce emotional expressiveness and natural interaction.
- Implement and bring designs to life, from pretraining through post-training.
- Integrate and test novel architectures (neural codecs, diffusion, flow-matching) to enhance realism and responsiveness.
- Define new evaluation metrics for conversational systems, including latency-aware and interaction-based measurements.
- Track the latest research in audio-visual diffusion, autoregressive models, neural codecs, and multimodal LLMs.
- Curate new datasets to complement existing data.
- Lead post-training initiatives like DPO, fine-tuning, and distillation to bring models to shipping quality.
- Ship models to production with optimised runtime to serve customers, and address their feedback thereafter.
YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE
- The ability to bring novel ideas and designs that advance the field of interactive multimodal systems.
- Strong understanding of generative modelling, ideally applied to sequential or multimodal data.
- Hands-on experience with large language models or similar transformer-based architectures.
- High proficiency in PyTorch, including distributed training and model optimization.
- A solid grasp of time-series modeling and tokenization, preferably in the context of audio, speech, or video.
- A demonstrated ability to prototype quickly, test hypotheses, and iterate efficiently.
- Proven experience training deep learning models end-to-end, from data preparation through evaluation.
- Strong general software engineering skills, enabling contributions to a large, shared research infrastructure.
PARTICULARLY RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
- Having shipped a generative model into a live product used at meaningful scale, not just published or prototyped it.
- Working on conversational or interactive systems where latency, responsiveness, and user experience were first-class constraints, not afterthoughts.
- Working on LLMs with large scale trainings leadings to models with decent reasoning capabilities
- Owning a research problem end to end: from architecture proposal through pretraining, post-training, and production deployment.
- Collaborating across modalities or teams (e.g. audio and video, or research and product) to ship a unified system.
BONUS POINTS FOR
- Experience with real-time or streaming architectures.
- Familiarity with state-of-the-art architectures in audio and speech generation, such as diffusion models, neural codecs, flow-matching models, or autoregressive decoders.
- Excellence in one or more of the following modalities: voice, text, video.
- Evidence of original research contributions, such as publications or open-source work at top-tier venues (e.g. NeurIPS, CVPR, ICML, ICLR, Interspeech).

Team and growth
Partner with Account Executives, Marketing and Alliances to drive pipeline and exceed goals.
Log activity and categorize lead information accurately in Salesforce.

Collaborate well in a fast-paced environment and manage a high volume of work efficiently.
Are values-oriented and share our company values.
