Perplexity is seeking an experienced Machine Learning Engineer to improve search quality across the middle and later stages of ranking. We are looking for a strong ranking generalist who can own ambiguous problems end to end and brings exceptional depth in either neural ranking or production ranking systems.
Responsibilities
- Push search quality forward through models, data, evaluation, infrastructure, or any other leverage available.
- Own ranking-quality problems end to end: define the evaluation, identify the bottleneck, build the solution, and ship it safely.
- Train and evaluate retrieval, ranking, and classification models, including neural and LLM-based approaches where appropriate.
- Build and operate ranking infrastructure, including feature computation, low-latency inference, multi-stage cascades, deployment, and monitoring.
- Make sound trade-offs across quality, latency, reliability, cost, and engineering complexity.
- Collaborate across Data, AI, Infrastructure, and Product while retaining ownership of the final quality outcome.
Qualifications
- Deep understanding of search or recommender systems and their evaluation.
- Proven ownership of a large-scale production ranking system or a substantial class of quality problems.
- Strong machine learning and software engineering skills across data, models, serving, and monitoring.
- Ability to drive ambiguous, cross-team problems without continuous task decomposition.
- Exceptional depth in either modern neural ranking methods or low-latency ranking systems and runtime.

About Eneba
At Eneba, we’re building an open, safe and sustainable marketplace for the gamers of today and tomorrow. Our marketplace supports close to 20m+ active users (and growing fast!), provides a level of trust, safety and market accessibility unparalleled to none. We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished in such a short time and look forward to sharing this journey with you. Join us as we continue to scale, diversify our portfolio, and grow with the evolving community of gamers.
ABOUT THE TEAM
The Risk & Fraud team exists to protect the thing that makes a marketplace work: trust. Every transaction we process depends on us drawing a clean line between genuine players and bad actors, without getting in the way of the good ones.
The work spans both ends of the problem: the day-to-day defense — alert review, chargeback management, and escalations from Customer Support — and the longer game of partnership strategy, fraud program design, KPI ownership, and staying ahead of how fraud evolves. We don't treat fraud as a cost centre — we treat it as a discipline.
ABOUT YOUR ROLE
As the Head of Risk & Fraud, you own the line between trust and loss for the entire business.
You're not refereeing from the stands. You set the fraud strategy across all our products, you lead the team, and you own the decisions that actually move the number — which partners we work with, which models we trust, where we draw the risk line, and what we tell Product when a new feature opens a door we'd rather keep shut. You're the person the stakeholders turn to when the question is "how exposed are we, and what are we doing about it?" and you answer with evidence, not vibes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Owner of the Number: You own the fraud P&L. Payout rate, chargeback rate, approval rate, false-positive rate — across the business, these are yours. You're the one who can explain every movement and who's accountable for the trend line.
- Leader of the Team: You won't just run the team; you'll build a strong second line of leadership beneath you and develop the people in it, so the function stays sharp whether or not you're in the room.
- The Strategy Setter: You own the fraud-reduction roadmap. You decide what we build versus buy, where we invest, and how the multi-product fraud program is designed — then you make sure it actually ships.
- The Partnership Principal: You own the commercial and strategic relationships with our fraud-prevention partners. RFPs, champion-challenger tests, SLAs, and the negotiations themselves sit with you.
- The Cross-functional Bridge: You're the operational partner to Product, Engineering, Finance, and Legal. When the business builds something new, you make sure fraud risk is designed in from the start — not patched in after the first loss.
- The Compliance Anchor: You own our risk-side regulatory and compliance obligations — PSP requirements, KYC, and law-enforcement requests — and make sure we're defensible as we scale across markets.
- The Final Word on Risk: You're the top escalation point for the hardest risk calls, and you represent Risk & Fraud in cross-functional and leadership forums with structure, data, and a clear point of view.
Requirements
-
- A Proven Track Record: You have solid experience in fraud, risk, or financial crime (think 4+ years in a fast-paced or high-growth environment) and have led a team before. What matters most is the scope you've owned — you've been accountable for fraud outcomes end to end, not just clearing queues.
- An Owner of Outcomes: You don't just talk about "reducing fraud" — you have the receipts. You can point to specific times you moved fraud rate, chargeback rate, or approval rate through structural change, and explain the trade-offs you made to get there.
- A Commercial Operator: You've owned partner selection and negotiation, managed budgets and SLAs, and know how to hold a partner accountable to the numbers they promised.
- A Data Native: You have a sixth sense for dashboards. You can look at a metric gap, diagnose the root cause, and make the call without waiting for an analyst to hand you the answer. Comfort in SQL / Databricks-type environments is a strong plus.
- A Builder of Teams: You find genuine satisfaction in developing leaders and building a function that thrives independently. You set clear expectations and you coach.
- Familiar with Our World: Ideally you've spent time in digital marketplaces, e-commerce, payments, or gaming, and you know the failure modes — promo abuse, reseller fraud, account takeover — and the pace of a high-volume digital business.
- Compliance-Fluent: You're comfortable operating against regulatory, PSP, and KYC obligations, and you know where the risk function's responsibility starts and stops.
- A Strong Communicator: Since we operate internationally, your written and spoken English needs to be sharp enough to set strategy, influence executives, and lead a diverse team.

An overview of this role
As a Backend Engineer on the Plan: Spec-Driven Development team, you'll help build GitLab's intent-to-code loop: agentic workflows that turn a stated intent into a refined work item, an implementation plan, and verified, mergeable code. You'll own early-stage backend work across the flows, application programming interfaces, data models, and evaluation systems behind this experience, using Ruby on Rails, Python, PostgreSQL, GitLab Duo Agent Platform, large language model application programming interfaces, and an artificial intelligence gateway.
You'll join a small, distributed team working on one of GitLab's highest-visibility product bets, collaborating with design partners toward a public beta. In your first year, you'll lead major features from an unclear problem through release, help shape scope with product and users, mentor other engineers, and influence technical decisions across agent workflows and evaluation methods.
What you’ll do
Lead backend features from early product discussions through technical design, implementation, rollout, and post-launch learning.
Build the flows, application programming interfaces, and data models behind agent-generated work items, implementation plans, durable specifications, and mergeable code.
Develop evaluation and benchmarking systems that measure workflow quality, token cost, and success rate.
Use Ruby on Rails and Python to build reliable production systems, with PostgreSQL, GraphQL, representational state transfer, GitLab Duo Agent Platform, large language model application programming interfaces, and an artificial intelligence gateway.
Collaborate directly with product, design, engineers, design partners, and users to shape scope and make practical trade-offs.
Coordinate multi-person projects across the team and communicate decisions clearly in GitLab's asynchronous, all-remote environment.
Mentor other engineers and contribute to technical direction across the Plan group and related artificial intelligence initiatives.
Work in short iterations, share progress through demos, and use results and user feedback to guide what comes next.
What you’ll bring
Strong Ruby on Rails experience in a large production codebase and production experience with Python.
Experience driving substantial projects with several engineers over multiple months, with clear user or business outcomes.
A product mindset and experience owning features end to end, including shaping scope, making trade-offs, engaging with users, and learning from adoption after launch.
A full stack background with a current focus on backend engineering, plus the ability to read modern frontend code and design effective APIs.
Strong application programming interface design and structured query language fundamentals.
Experience exploring artificial intelligence-assisted development.
The ability to work independently, collaborate across functions and regions, and support others through technical leadership and mentoring. Experience with GraphQL, PostgreSQL performance at scale, or building and evaluating large language model or agent systems is helpful but not required.
We welcome candidates with different backgrounds and transferable experience. If you're excited about the role but don't meet every qualification, we encourage you to apply.
About the team
We are a team of four engineers, with two backend and two frontend engineers across Canada and Europe. You'll work in an all-remote, async-first environment with weekly sync calls, retrospectives, demos, and short iterations. This is early-stage work with broad ownership, space for creativity, and a fast pace. For more about our team and its work, see

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
Anthropic's New Markets and Monetization team exists to bring transformational AI to every business. Model capabilities are compounding, and the Claude Platform is how businesses build with our models. Our job within the Claude Platform is to make sure that every industry, not just software, can build on frontier AI with our APIs and that everyone who builds on Claude prospers by it.
The work falls into two pillars that reinforce each other.
Verticals:
identifying and building for the next API markets.
Monetization:
the commercial machinery that lets the platform do business anywhere, with anyone: a single way for usage that flows through partners, resellers, and other platforms.
We're hiring the founding product managers onto this team, and this posting covers all of them. You will own one of the areas below outright, work day to day with a dedicated engineering lead and designer, and be measured on numbers that are company-level goals for the half. Almost none of this exists yet, so most weeks you will be the person defining the problem rather than receiving it.
Key responsibilities
Partner and platform billing.
How usage that reaches Claude through a partner, reseller, or another platform is metered, attributed, and billed, and the program terms that go with it, so indirect volume can grow without our risk growing with it.
Spend observability and controls.
Giving enterprise buyers a precise view of what they spend and where, and turning that into limits and controls they can enforce, including programmatically.
One account, and the startup path built on it.
One login and one wallet across the API and Claude's subscriptions, so a builder's first commit, first production call, and first invoice are on a single plan.
A vertical.
The platform strategy for a particular industry: what builders there need that the platform doesn't yet do, which bets to make, and shipping them with the vertical's own product and go-to-market partners.
Whatever your focus, you will:
Build on primitives owned by the Billing Platform and Auth & Identity teams, and ship with Growth, Go-to-Market and Startups, Legal, Finance, and Data Science
Structure the commercial terms yourself, whether that's pricing, revenue attribution, or partner and startup program terms, with Finance, Legal, and Business Development
Talk to every side of the ecosystem, from enterprise buyers and startup builders to the partners that resell or embed Claude and the industry customers we're building for, and turn it into a roadmap where each new participant makes the platform more valuable to the rest
Own the team's outcome metrics: the share of the platform's business outside coding, new startup revenue, volume unified across the API and Claude's subscriptions, and the volume partners book on Claude, and make sure the instrumentation exists to know whether what you shipped moved them
Write the strategy, the specs, and the analysis yourself
Minimum qualifications
Have owned a developer platform, API, billing or money-movement product, or self-serve growth product end to end, and were the person accountable for its revenue or activation number (for most people this means five or more years as a PM, but we care about the ownership, not the years)
Have built with or shipped on top of large language models, and have a view on what changes about billing, identity, or distribution when the customer is sometimes an agent
Are technically fluent: you read API docs, work through a billing, identity, or attribution design with engineers, and make calls on platform primitives yourself
Pull your own data: SQL or equivalent, to define a metric, build a funnel, or size a market
Have negotiated pricing, revenue share, or program terms with Finance, Legal, or Business Development counterparts
Write clearly enough that an engineer, an executive, and an external partner can each see the tradeoff you're making
Care about Anthropic's mission, and specifically about growing this platform in a way where the people building on it share in the upside
Preferred qualifications
8+ years of product management experience
Worked on metering, usage attribution, reseller or cloud-marketplace channels, or enterprise spend management
Taken a developer platform into a new industry, or built product in healthcare, life sciences, financial services, or another regulated industry
Grown a developer product's self-serve or startup business, including its pricing and packaging
Built account, identity, or subscription systems that span more than one product
Taken a product from zero to one, where the users, the product, and the economics all had to be worked out at once

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

- Inspect pipeline rigorously, identify risks early, and ensure clear next steps across priority opportunities.
- Develop a clear view of market demand, buyer personas, competitive dynamics, and customer pain points across your region.
- Help refine LangChain’s enterprise sales motion as we scale from early GTM into a more repeatable, predictable sales organization.
- Recruit, onboard, and retain high-performing sales talent as the region grows.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

- Experience selling to technical buyers such as engineering, infrastructure, data, AI/ML, developer platform, or product teams.

- Strong cross-functional instincts and a collaborative approach to working with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales Engineering, and Customer Success.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for different audiences.
- High ownership, low ego, and a willingness to be hands-on with customers, deals, and team development.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience selling developer tools, infrastructure software, observability, data platforms, ML/AI tooling, or open-source commercial products.
- Familiarity with LLMs, AI agents, RAG, observability, evaluations, or modern AI application development.

ABOUT RAMP
Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $275B in annualized spend flows in and out of 85,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.
The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.
We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.
The median Ramp customer saves 7.5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.
If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Enterprise Account Manager, you will oversee a book of 60–70 Enterprise customers (750+ employees) and own the long-term relationship, overall account health, and commercial outcomes for your portfolio. You will be responsible for maintaining and growing revenue, driving adoption across Ramp’s product suite, and ensuring customers achieve meaningful business outcomes.
You will build strong relationships at all levels of your customers’ organizations — including operators, directors, VPs, and C-suite leaders — and be skilled at managing evolving needs and product configurations. Internally, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to support customer initiatives, coordinate efforts, and contribute insights that help shape Ramp’s product and operational processes.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Own a portfolio of ~60-70 Enterprise customers, with a clear responsibility to develop strategies for expansion, driving revenue for Ramp
- Lead customer conversations across all seniority levels, including operators, finance leadership, and C-suite executives, to ensure alignment and drive strong business outcomes
- Manage renewals end-to-end, from identifying the need to solution design, positioning, and negotiation
- Create and execute scalable account plans, highlighting areas of risk, opportunity, and long-term strategy
- Run regular touchpoints — status calls, optimization reviews, roadmap conversations, and QBRs — to keep customers engaged and successful
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Support, CSMs, and Solutions teams to deliver a cohesive and high-quality customer experience
- Travel occasionally for customer on-sites, events, and internal summits
WHAT YOU NEED
- Minimum 6 years of quota-carrying SaaS sales experience in a closing role with strong prospecting, qualifying, negotiating, and closing skills
- Experience managing Enterprise or large Mid-Market accounts (500+ employees), ideally in a scaled book model
- Strong familiarity with Fintech, Payments, Finance/Accounting, or B2B SaaS
- Comfortable explaining product workflows, integrations, and technical requirements to both financial and technical stakeholders
- Ability to articulate financial value — ROI, cost savings, operational efficiency, and modernization impacts
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, including comfort working with senior leadership and the C-suite
- Track record of meeting or exceeding revenue or growth targets in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- High level of ownership, adaptability, and comfort working through ambiguity
- Willingness to travel as needed

- Experience at a high-growth startup

Arcadia is dedicated to happier, healthier days for all. We believe that there is a better healthcare world – one powered by data. Our platform transforms complex, diverse data into a unified foundation for health, helping organizations deliver better care, boost revenue, and lower costs.
We’re a team of fiercely driven individuals committed to making healthcare more sustainable—and we’re looking for passionate people to help us get there.
For more information, visit arcadia.io.
Why This Role Is Important to Arcadia
Teams across Arcadia already put agents to work enabling clients' clinical, analytics, and operations teams. We use them heavily for our own work, too. Much of the platform foundation is in place. Now it has to handle longer-running workflows, client-facing agents, and PHI at scale.
You'll join the team that owns the platform underneath these agent workflows. This isn't a solo mandate. Your influence comes from what you ship and what other teams build on top of it.
How We Build
Engineers at Arcadia own outcomes end to end: the problem, the design, the code, the rollout, and the result in production. We build alongside AI without handing it our judgment; our automation is governed and transparent, built to strengthen human expertise, not replace it. We have few layers, high agency, deep ownership. We adopt new tools and practices quickly, which lets us move faster than many startups while keeping the discipline a regulated environment demands.
Our agent platform sits on top of governed access to AWS-based petabyte-scale lakehouse data with open table formats, distributed Spark processing, and Kubernetes services. The current implementation has an OSS agent harness and a gateway/router across model providers, all built on a third-party agent framework.
What Success Looks Like
Arcadia product teams should be able to spin up an agent quickly, ship it with confidence, and evolve it over time safely and cost-effectively. The platform provides the building blocks: persistence, workflows, memory, and identity-aware, compliant connectivity to tools. The platform also takes care of the quality attributes: caching, compaction, evals, guardrails, observability, resiliency, and safe handling of PHI.
Teams adopt it because it's the fastest safe path, not because they're told to. You treat it as a product and can show the impact in numbers.
Next: customers bring their own agents to Arcadia, and eventually assemble them from our building blocks.
What You'll Be Doing
Evolve and run our agent platform for both internal and client-facing use cases: the runtime, SDKs, templates, and paved paths that let teams ship agents on Arcadia's data. You write a meaningful share of the code.
Stand up and harden the infrastructure underneath it: IaC, network topology, security controls, and the operational tooling that keeps it running, in close partnership with SRE.
Make quality attributes platform defaults, not per-team projects: evaluation harnesses and regression gates, guardrails and policy enforcement, tracing and telemetry, and resiliency patterns for model, tool, and data failures, plus the inevitable provider churn.
Design for a regulated industry: PHI isolation, least-privilege identity for agents, audit trails, and human review.
Run the platform as an internal product: work with the teams building on it every week, and measure adoption and developer experience.
Partner with domain teams on their hardest agent use cases, and turn what you learn into platform capability.
Own it in production: SLOs, on-call, incident response, and postmortems.
Set the technical bar for how engineers build with AI at Arcadia, and coach Senior Engineers through design partnership and review. Their trajectory is part of your impact.
What You'll Bring
Platforms you've built and run that other engineering teams adopted, from ambiguous beginnings through years of operation, with results you can show.
Deep foundations in cloud-native distributed systems, data infrastructure, and service architecture. You reason from first principles.
Hands-on infrastructure depth: IaC, cloud, security architecture, and running production systems. You can go deep with SRE, not just hand work off to them.
Current, hands-on production coding, and the desire to keep doing it.
Passion for developer experience (DevEx/DevProd) as a discipline.
Writing clear enough to set standards beyond your own work, and influence that comes from credibility, not title.
No healthcare background required. We hire builders from fintech, infrastructure, and consumer scale, and teach the domain.
Would Love for You to Have
Scars from production LLM/agent deployments beyond glossy demos (but we won't ask for 20 years of LLM experience).
Pragmatism about the LLM ecosystem: excited by it, not distracted by it.
Regulated-data experience (HIPAA, PHI, SOC 2 or HITRUST environments).
A public voice through talks, writing, or open source.
What You'll Get
The opportunity to own one of Arcadia's most consequential platform domains and to set its direction for years.
Direct influence on how Arcadia's engineering org adopts AI; your tooling, patterns, and standards become examples others build on.
Remote-first across the US, with in-person hubs growing in Boston, DC, and NYC.
A flexible culture with personality and heart, named a Built In 2026 Best Place to Work.
Work that shows up in patients' lives.

What you’ll be part of
Garner is on a mission to transform the U.S. healthcare system — and we’re the only proven player doing exactly that. We partner with employers to redesign how healthcare works: applying 550+ proprietary clinical metrics across 80+ specialties to a dataset of 320M+ patients to identify the best-performing doctors, then using compelling incentives to steer members to the care that helps them get healthier, faster.
The result is a rare “win win” — better care and lower costs for both members and employers. In just five years, our work has helped over 2.5 million people access higher-quality care and saved $1B in healthcare costs. We recently raised our Series E and have doubled five years running. If you've ever wanted your work to solve a problem that touches every person in this country, this is the opportunity to do exactly that. You'd be joining a team fundamentally reimagining healthcare in the U.S. — and using AI to scale that impact further and faster than anyone else can.
About the role:
We are seeking an exceptional Manager, Product Applied Science to build and lead a team at the core of Garner's product. Our members rely on us to answer hard questions — Which doctor should I see? What will it cost? When should we reach out, and how? — and the quality of those answers is determined by the algorithms behind them.
This is a hands-on management role. You are responsible for the overall technical direction of your squad, building alongside your team of Applied Scientists to solve some of the hardest problems at the company.
This is not a dashboards or descriptive-analytics team. Your team owns production systems end-to-end: framing the problem, defining the objective function, choosing the right approach (ML, optimization, heuristics, expert systems, or a hybrid), shipping it, and improving it against real-world outcomes. The closest analog outside healthcare is leading a research pod at a top hedge fund.
Where you will work:
This role will be based in our New York City office (in the Financial District). You must be willing to work in the office 3 days per week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
What you will do:
Lead a team of 4-6 — hire, coach, and develop them, hold the bar on both rigor and speed, and help raise that bar across Applied Science
Own the Population Health team and their outputs as a core responsibility
Own your team's roadmap and delivery: what gets built, in what order, and whether it ships
Set technical direction, and get in the weeds to do it — stay close enough to the code and the data to call the approach yourself, whether that's machine learning, optimization, a heuristic, or a simple rule, and set the standard for how your team makes that call
Define the set of metrics needed to judge whether a solution is working, and validate solutions before they ship
Put your own hands on the problems where your judgment matters most — the highest-stakes, least-defined work — and deliver the algorithmic step-changes that move metrics like total-cost-of-care savings, steerage, and member engagement
Turn ambiguous business goals into a clear problem set alongside Research, Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders, and represent your team's work to senior leadership
Set the quality bar: review your team's work with rigor, and define the metrics that decide whether a solution is working
Build a deep understanding of the healthcare economy and Garner's place in it
To make the role concrete, here are three problems on our near-term roadmap:
Provider tiering optimization.
Build a tiering algorithm that jointly optimizes geographic access and total-cost-of-care savings across our doctor network. The objective function, constraints, and tradeoff surface are all open design questions.
AI primary care doctor.
Fine-tune and productionize an LLM-based primary care experience on our website, including the evaluation harness, guardrails, and ongoing quality monitoring needed to ship a medical-adjacent product safely.
Member engagement model.
Build an ML system that ingests claims data and in-app behavior to choose the right channel and moment for each touchpoint — SMS, push, phone, or email — to influence member behavior toward better-quality, lower-cost care.
The ideal candidate has:
6+ years of industry experience as an Applied Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, Research Scientist, or equivalent; or 4+ years of industry experience with a relevant advanced degree, PhDs preferred
Deep technical credibility, with the range and judgment to lead scientists who are experts in their own right, and the willingness to stay hands-on
Strong judgment in choosing between statistical models, heuristics, optimization approaches, and simpler algorithmic methods depending on the problem
Strong applied problem-solving skills, with the ability to define good metrics and then deliver solutions that improve them
A bias toward action, quickly translating ideas into working prototypes to test approaches
Strong communication skills, including at the executive level, with a track record of driving alignment across teams and functions
A desire to be a part of a high-performing, mission-driven team that operates with urgency, a strong sense of individual accountability, and a commitment to authentic feedback
Technologies we use:
Python, SQL, AWS, Snowflake, pandas, XGBoost, PyTorch, HuggingFace, modern LLM tooling and eval frameworks. We pick tools based on the problem, not the resume — bring your judgment.
This is a unique opportunity to build and lead the team behind Garner's algorithmic systems — shaping how members find better care, and how applied science gets done at Garner, while staying close to the work yourself.
What you'll get here:
You’ll work on problems that matter, at a company working to change healthcare at scale. You’ll work at the intersection of AI and systemic healthcare reform, where the problems we solve are as interesting and compelling as the mission.
At Garner, you’ll take on real, ambitious problems with real ownership and autonomy, alongside exceptional, principles-based people who genuinely want you to win. It’s demanding by design. You’ll be challenged to stretch beyond what you thought possible and receive consistent coaching to help you grow and do the best work of your career. This isn't the right fit for everyone, and that's intentional. The people here are driven by what's at stake for real people, and that's what gives our intensity its purpose.
Compensation Transparency:
The target base comp range for this position is $300,000-$390,000. Individual compensation for this role will depend on various factors, including qualifications, skills, and applicable laws. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in our equity incentive and competitive benefits plans, including but not limited to: flexible PTO, Medical/Dental/Vision plan options, 401(k) with company match, flexible spending accounts, Teladoc Health and more.

The closest analog outside healthcare is a quantitative researcher at a top hedge fund.
This is a player-coach role. You will be a hands-on-keys Applied Scientist, while also leading a small team that helps you deliver on your roadmap. Your time will be split between your own technical work and working with your team to shape how they approach their problems. This role is a good fit for someone who wants to develop their management toolkit while continuing to work closely on their own technical work, and it can lead either towards management or a deeper senior IC track.
Where you will work:
This role will be based in our New York City office (in the Financial District). You must be willing to work in the office 3 days per week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
What you will do:
Own the most ambiguous, high-stakes problems facing the company end-to-end, and set how the team frames and approaches them
Frame messy, real-world healthcare and business constraints into clear objectives, tradeoffs, and decision frameworks
Define the set of metrics needed to judge whether a solution is working, and validate solutions before they ship
Choose the right approach for each problem, from machine learning to optimization to heuristics to simple rules, based on what the problem actually calls for, and set the standard for how the team selects and applies these approaches
Deliver algorithmic breakthroughs that move the company's most important metrics, pioneering approaches that become how applied science is done at Garner
Lead a small team — set their technical direction, unblock them when they're stuck, and share accountability for their growth and the quality of what they ship
Review Applied Science work at the highest level across the company, ensuring the methods used across teams are sound and correctly applied
Build a deep understanding of the healthcare economy and Garner's place in it

Recognized technical authority, with the judgment to ensure the techniques used across an organization are sound
Strong interest in mentoring or technically leading other Scientists — formal management experience is welcome, but not required
Strong judgment in choosing between statistical models, heuristics, optimization approaches, and simpler algorithmic methods depending on the problem
Strong communication skills, including at the executive level, with a track record of driving alignment across an organization

Technical Consultants are on the frontlines working to establish partnerships with Ramp customers, and act as a liaison between customers and our internal technical teams. You'll be partnering with Customer Activation & Account Management teams to identify, prioritize and build financial solutions for new and existing customers so that Ramp continues to scale with their needs.
You will act as the technical and financial subject matter expert for our customers and design solutions that address the customer's needs through Ramp and partner integrations. You will partner with Post-Sales teams to drive Product, Design and Engineering teams' roadmaps to evolve Ramp to better serve our customers at scale and offer increasingly higher value.
You will define the customer's financial & technical success criteria from onboarding through activation and expansion. You will represent Product, Design, and Engineering externally and will operate with deep conviction and understanding of Ramp's technical capabilities. The role requires technical skills necessary to understand and educate on robust accounting features and integrate them across all the touchpoints and surface area of a customer.
This role is specifically focused on Enterprise customers running Microsoft F&O, supporting large, complex organizations with multi-entity environments, advanced ERP integrations, and highly customized financial workflows.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Serve as the primary Technical Consultant for Enterprise accounts running Microsoft F&O , supporting complex, high-impact customers with multi-entity, multi-ERP, and global financial environments
- Act as a technical advisor to customers and Ramp's internal teams while supporting high-value implementations and expansion opportunities by guiding Microsoft F&O integration, configuration, and system design
- Partner with Customer Activation and Account Management teams to assess customer requirements and propose scalable solutions involving F&O, HRIS, and API integrations
- Collaborate with onboarding specialists and implementation leads to support technical workstreams, ensuring faster time-to-value and customer success
- Work with customers to problem-solve technical hurdles and propose effective product implementations with a deep understanding of Dynamics F&O integration and configuration options
- Participate in technical discovery to understand customer F&O environments and workflows, and recommend best-fit Ramp architecture including when and how to use Ramp's API
- Be a subject matter expert across F&O and Ramp's accounting integration capabilities, partnering with Sales, Product and partners to advocate for integration development aligned with customer needs
- Troubleshoot Dynamics F&O integration blockers and guide customers through complex configuration decisions
- Contribute to internal documentation and tooling that scales Ramp's ability to support F&O integration use cases across a growing customer base
- Influence Ramp's product roadmap by channeling F&O customer pain points and feedback to the Product and Engineering teams
WHAT YOU NEED
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, finance, business, or a related field
- 4+ years in technical consulting, solutions engineering, implementation, or a similar customer-facing technical role, ideally in a SaaS or fintech environment
- 3+ years of hands-on experience working with Microsoft Dynamics F&O, including financials modules, integration patterns, and enterprise deployment models
- Deep familiarity with accounting workflows, including core functionalities involving General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Subledger Accounting, and multi-org structures
- Comfort working with APIs, integration logic, and system architecture and being able to explain those concepts to finance and operations stakeholders
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Design on enterprise-driven gaps, influencing roadmap decisions that unlock scale across Ramp's largest customers
- Advise on non-standard F&O implementations and edge cases, balancing customer needs with long-term platform scalability and supportability
- Strong communication skills: able to translate complex technical solutions into business value and guide customers toward scalable approaches
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering
- Exceptional organization and problem-solving skills, with a bias toward action and a high level of ownership
- Thrives in ambiguity and fast-paced environments; adaptable and resourceful as we scale Ramp's upmarket motion
