Staff Software Engineer, Adaptive Experiences Platform
Waterloo, ON
About the Role
The DTIS organization is building the next generation of adaptive experiences for PlayStation. Our vision is to make every customer touchpoint more relevant, useful, and joyful by combining reusable experience capabilities with personalization, merchandising, experimentation, and intelligent decisioning.
We are looking for a
Staff Software Engineer
to help lead the evolution of our Dynamic Experience Management platform, allowing teams to create and optimize experiences without requiring bespoke implementation for every client, iterating rapidly.
You will be a hands-on technical leader working across the experience stack. You will also shape the architecture needed to extend capabilities beyond PS5, across web, mobile, and other PlayStation devices. This is an opportunity to define foundational technology that will change how PlayStation builds, delivers, experiments with, and learns from customer experiences at scale.
Responsibilities
Define and drive the technical direction for our experiences client SDK, translating the adaptive-experiences vision into an incremental, production-ready architecture.
Design and evolve the platform-independent composition layer, public TypeScript APIs, versioned schemas, content adapters, component model, data bindings, and platform renderer contracts.
Build reusable experience primitives and native rendering capabilities that support responsive layouts, personalization, experimentation, telemetry, accessibility, localization, and platform-specific interaction models.
Establish safe coexistence and migration patterns, including backward compatibility, capability negotiation, validation, feature flags, fallbacks, rollback, and observability.
Profile and optimize bundle size, startup and time-to-interactive performance, memory usage, rendering behavior, and runtime reliability on resource-constrained client platforms.
Improve developer experience through clear interfaces, reference integrations, test harnesses, preview and debugging tools, automated compatibility testing, and high-quality documentation.
Help establish governed, agent-assisted authoring and validation workflows that can translate design and business intent into trusted artifacts, supported by policy checks and evaluation suites.
Partner with client, design system, merchandising, content, personalization, experimentation, and platform service teams to align contracts and deliver end-to-end capabilities.
Provide technical leadership across team boundaries, mentor engineers, make sound trade-offs in ambiguous problem spaces, and communicate architecture and decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant experience designing and delivering production client platforms, SDKs, frameworks, or shared libraries.
Expert-level proficiency with TypeScript or JavaScript and strong experience with React, React Native, or a comparable component-based client framework.
Strong software architecture and API design skills, including modularity, dependency management, versioning, backward compatibility, and incremental migration of large production systems.
Experience building data-driven or server-driven user interfaces, reusable component systems, or runtime composition frameworks.
Demonstrated ability to diagnose and improve client performance and reliability using profiling, telemetry, automated testing, and production observability.
Experience designing for more than one client environment, such as console, mobile, web, TV, or embedded platforms, with a practical understanding of platform-specific constraints.
Proven track record of solving ambiguous, cross-functional problems with minimal direction and driving alignment without relying on formal authority.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document architecture and explain complex technical decisions clearly.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with console development, living-room interfaces, focus-based navigation, or performance-constrained native clients.
Experience with schema-backed declarative UI, domain-specific languages, JSON Schema, component expansion, data binding, hydration, or client-side rendering engines.
Experience building or integrating client SDKs, content management or merchandising systems, personalization platforms, experimentation frameworks, or design systems.
Experience migrating a large client application away from a legacy rendering or content-delivery framework using staged rollout, compatibility layers, and measurable exit criteria.
Experience developing platform adapters or renderers for iOS, Android, web, or other native client environments.
Familiarity with content and layout separation, runtime content sources, telemetry provenance, accessibility, localization, and safe fallback behavior.
Experience with developer tooling, visual preview systems, contract testing, schema validation, or automated cross-platform regression testing.
Experience applying generative AI or agentic workflows to software or content creation, including evaluation, governance, and deterministic output constraints.
A track record of technical leadership and mentoring across multiple teams.
Additional Skills
Motivated self-starter who combines long-term architectural thinking with pragmatic, incremental delivery.
Customer-focused and attentive to developer experience, operational usability, and measurable product outcomes.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with partners across product, design, engineering, and operations.

About the role
As a Staff Backend Engineer, you will provide technical leadership across your team and adjacent teams, solving the highest-scope and most complex problems in your area. You will lead large, cross-cutting backend initiatives, drive our modular architecture strategy, and define the standards that let teams move faster without compromising quality, security, reliability, or operability.
This is a technical leadership role that combines deep backend expertise, systems judgment, product judgment, and influence across organizational boundaries. You will work with Product, Frontend, Infrastructure, Security, Data, Engineering Managers, and engineers across product groups, bringing subject matter expertise, and you will do it without relying on formal authority.
Why you’ll love this role
Leverage:
Your work multiplies across teams. The platforms, standards, and architectural decisions you lead determine how quickly everyone else can ship.
Genuinely Hard Problems:
You’ll lead the modernization of a large monolith toward modular, reusable, appropriately independent systems — at the scale of a platform used by millions of users.
Influence Without Bureaucracy:
You’ll shape technical direction across teams through clear written proposals and decision records, and partner with Product and Engineering leadership on platform roadmap and investment trade-offs.
Frontier AI Work:
You’ll lead adoption of AI-assisted and agentic engineering workflows and define the review, quality, security, and privacy guardrails that make them safe to rely on.
Autonomy:
You’ll thrive in our remote-first, asynchronous organization, where clear written communication and self-direction are the pillars of success.
What you’ll do
Lead Cross-Cutting Initiatives:
Lead the technical design and delivery of large backend initiatives that span teams, and identify and remove systemic bottlenecks across product and infrastructure groups.
Own Architecture Strategy:
Drive modular backend, service, data, and platform architecture. Lead modernization of the monolith and legacy backends toward modular, reusable, and appropriately independently operated systems — while preventing fragmentation and service sprawl.
Set the Standards:
Define and improve standards for APIs, contracts, compatibility, schema evolution, testing, security, performance, observability, operability, and maintainability — plus the build, test, deploy, release, rollback, and production-readiness practices needed to operate modular features safely.
Establish Shared Patterns:
Create the patterns for dependency management, data ownership, eventing, failure isolation, service maturity, and operational documentation. Establish Go service patterns and Kubernetes operating practices where they matter to our production estate, and guide Rust adoption where it solves a real systems, security, performance, or supply-chain problem.
Own What You Build in Production:
Take part in on-call and incident response for the systems your teams own, act as a technical escalation point during complex incidents, and turn what you learn into architectural and operational improvements that prevent recurrence.
Influence and Partner:
Shape technical direction across teams without formal authority, and partner with Product and Engineering leadership on platform-level roadmap decisions and investment trade-offs.
Grow Engineers:
Mentor Senior and Intermediate engineers, shepherd technical debt reduction and reusable patterns that improve throughput, and raise the technical capability of the wider team.
Lead AI Adoption:
Lead team-level adoption of AI-assisted and agentic workflows, including the quality, security, privacy, and operational guardrails, and help engineers direct, validate, reject, and course-correct agent output.
What you’ll bring
Cross-Team Technical Leadership:
A sustained record of technical leadership across more than one team or a broad product area.
Deep Architecture Experience:
Deep backend architecture and production experience in complex applications, services, or platforms, including scaling or governing APIs, service platforms, data systems, modular monoliths, or shared backend components.
Modularization in Production:
Experience modernizing a monolith or legacy backend architecture in production, and with modular architecture such as bounded contexts, package encapsulation, ports and adapters, service extraction, event-driven boundaries, or an equivalent approach.
Influence Without Authority:
A strong ability to create alignment through clear written proposals and decision records, so decisions are documented, understood, and adopted without constant escalation.
Product Judgment:
The ability to balance customer outcomes, delivery speed, technical health, reliability, and long-term platform investment.
Mentorship:
Experience mentoring engineers and shaping standards through code review, documentation, and example.
Agentic AI Leadership:
Production experience with AI-assisted or agentic engineering workflows, including the ability to evaluate and improve how a team adopts them.
Helpful experience
Go services and APIs at scale.
Kubernetes and cloud-native operations, including deployment, scaling, observability, rollback, and production readiness.
Rust adoption or production ownership for systems, security, performance, or platform components.
Ruby/Rails modularization and large-monolith modernization.

ABOUT RAMP
Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $275B in annualized spend flows in and out of 85,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.
The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.
We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.

We are building AI to simulate the world through merging art and science.
We believe that world models are at the frontier of progress in artificial intelligence. Language models alone won’t solve the world’s hardest problems – robotics, disease, scientific discovery. Real progress requires models that experience the world and learn from their mistakes, the same way that humans do. And this kind of trial and error can be massively accelerated when done in simulation, rather than in the real world.
World models offer the most clear path to general-purpose simulation, changing how stories are told, how scientific progress is made and how the next frontiers of humanity are reached.
Our team consists of creative, open minded, caring and ambitious people who are determined to change the world. We aspire to continuously build impossible things and our ability to do so relies on building an incredible team. If you are driven to do the same, we'd love to hear from you.
*Titles posted to our careers page are updated regularly to best advertise the role and expected seniority, but internally we have a flat titling system with two types of titles: one for individual contributors and one for people managers.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a Product Engineer to join our team and help us build cutting-edge, AI-powered video creation and collaboration tools. Rather than specialists, we’re seeking curiosity-driven engineers who are thoughtful problem solvers and thrive in fast-paced, high-ownership environments. Our engineering team is highly collaborative and works on a wide variety of exciting challenges, including developing new interfaces for AI content creation, building LLM-powered features and conversational experiences, and deploying cutting-edge computer vision and generative models to production.
A PEEK AT OUR TECHNICAL STACK
The rich UI of our generative AI tools is powered by TypeScript and React with MediaBunny driving in-browser media and React Flow powering our node-based creative workflows. Our API endpoints for user and media management are written in TypeScript and Node.js and deployed as containerized services on AWS ECS Fargate. We leverage AI APIs to power advanced generative capabilities.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Create rich multimedia interfaces using the cutting-edge of the latest AI video generation models Gen-4.5 and Aleph 2.0
- Build end-to-end full-stack AI-powered product features — designing and developing both frontend experiences and backend systems, including authoring server-side processes and APIs that power our generative AI tools
- Design and implement LLM-powered features and conversational interfaces
- Partner with a world-class engineering team pushing the boundaries of creativity and content creation on the browser
- Take on new challenges across the Frontend stack to implement product features for Runway’s machine learning-based generative AI tools
- Improve the performance, reliability, and code quality of our codebases
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- 5+ years of industry experience in a software engineering role, ideally full-stack focused
- Demonstrated fluency in one or more programming languages, including but not limited to JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience building with third-party AI APIs (e.g., chatbots, LLM integrations)
- Experience in architecting production-ready systems and familiarity with debugging and profiling tools
- Ability to rapidly prototype solutions and iterate on them with tight product deadlines
- Humility and open-mindedness; at Runway, we love to learn from one another
Runway strives to recruit and retain exceptional talent from diverse backgrounds while ensuring pay equity for our team. Our salary ranges are based on competitive market rates for our size, stage and industry, and salary is just one part of the overall compensation package we provide.
There are many factors that go into salary determinations, including relevant experience, skill level and qualifications assessed during the interview process, and maintaining internal equity with peers on the team. The range shared below is a general expectation for the function as posted, but we are also open to considering candidates who may be more or less experienced than outlined in the job description. In this case, we will communicate any updates in the expected salary range.
Lastly, the provided range is the expected salary for candidates in the U.S. Outside of those regions, there may be a change in the range, which again, will be communicated to candidates.

ABOUT MISTRAL
Mistral provides full-stack AI solutions: from frontier models to developer tools, applications, and compute. We partner with enterprises tackling the hardest problems across high-stakes industries like finance, manufacturing, defense, healthcare, and the public sector, co-creating customized AI systems that they can run on their terms.
We are a dynamic, collaborative team passionate about AI and its potential to transform society. Our diverse workforce thrives in competitive environments and is committed to driving innovation. Our teams are distributed between Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East. We are creative, low-ego and team-spirited.
THE ROLE
As a member of the EMEA Talent Acquisition team focused on Corporate and Go-To-Market hiring, you will be instrumental in building and scaling Mistral's EMEA-based teams across both corporate functions and revenue-generating roles. Joining early means you'll help shape our recruitment strategy and operations, partnering closely with leaders across Corporate functions (Finance, Legal, People, Operations, Marketing, Communications) and GTM functions (Sales, Pre-Sales/Solutions, Partnerships, Customer Success, and Revenue Operations). Your work will directly influence Mistral's commercial and operational success by ensuring we find and engage exceptional operators who will drive Mistral's growth across the EMEA region. In this role, you'll also foster a strong candidate experience and help establish recruiting best practices as we expand across multiple EMEA markets.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
STAKEHOLDER PARTNERSHIP
- Partner deeply with Corporate and GTM leaders — from CRO and VP Sales to Finance, Legal, and People leadership — to understand hiring needs, define role specs, and identify the right talent across multiple EMEA markets.
- Own full-cycle recruitment across Corporate and GTM functions: Sales, Finance, Legal, People/HR, Marketing, and Communications roles.
- Advise hiring managers on market mapping, leveling, comp positioning, and the competitive landscape for EMEA talent, accounting for local market nuances, benchmarking, and statutory differences across countries.
- Translate the nuances of each role into compelling, accurate, and locally relevant candidate outreach.
END-TO-END RECRUITMENT
- Own the full recruiting lifecycle from sourcing to close, operating with autonomy on complex, high-volume roles across Corporate and GTM.
- Source passive and active candidates across EMEA talent pools, particularly in AI/ML, open-source software, enterprise infrastructure, and regional corporate markets.
- Conduct intake and calibration sessions with hiring managers to align on ideal candidate profiles and stage expectations.
- Drive efficient, high-conversion pipelines and close candidates in a fiercely competitive market for senior talent across multiple geographies and languages.
- Navigate cross-border hiring complexity, including relocation, remote-friendly offers, and country-specific employment frameworks.
CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE & SELLING MISTRAL
- Guide candidates through the hiring process with clear communication and a compelling narrative about Mistral's mission, culture, and trajectory.
- Articulate Mistral's positioning in the AI landscape — frontier models, open-weight philosophy, and enterprise credibility — to differentiate us against better-known competitors.
- Provide candidates with real insight into our GTM motion, corporate operations, growth plans, and the specific impact of their role.
- Deliver a high-quality, respectful candidate experience at every stage, regardless of outcome.
RECRUITING OPERATIONS & DATA-DRIVEN IMPROVEMENT
- Develop and refine recruiting processes, tools, and documentation to improve outcomes and efficiency.
- Use data to diagnose pipeline issues (e.g., drop-off at specific stages, time-to-fill by role, offer acceptance rates) and propose targeted solutions.
- Build and maintain market maps, competitive intel, and talent pools for key EMEA Corporate and GTM segments.
- Standardize interview rubrics, scorecards, and debrief practices across EMEA hiring teams, while respecting local market and language differences.
RAISING THE BAR
- Collaborate with Corporate and GTM leadership and the broader Talent team to continuously elevate our hiring standards.
- Contribute to defining and evolving our EMEA talent acquisition strategy as we scale from early team to a mature, multi-region organization.
- Partner on employer-brand and outbound sourcing initiatives that position Mistral as a destination for top Corporate and GTM talent in EMEA.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 6+ years of recruiting experience, including 2+ years in a startup or high-growth B2B SaaS/infrastructure company, with a focus on Corporate functions and/or Sales/GTM roles.
- Demonstrated ability to independently hire across the full GTM stack — from Enterprise AE’s to GTM leadership — as well as key Corporate functions (Finance, Legal, People, Marketing, Operations).
- Deep network and sourcing expertise in EMEA talent markets, particularly in AI/ML, open-source, developer tools, or enterprise software.
- Track record of hiring in competitive, candidate-scarce markets where candidates have multiple offers, including cross-border and multi-language hiring.
- Experience working across multiple EMEA markets and comfort with country-specific comp, benefits, and employment nuance.
- Willingness to work on other roles as needs come up.
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and switching between strategic planning and hands-on execution.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence peers and senior stakeholders without direct authority.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle shifting priorities across a high-volume hiring slate spanning two function families.
- Professional experience with modern recruiting tools such as Ashby.
- Familiarity with the AI/ML landscape and the ability to credibly discuss frontier model capabilities with technical GTM and corporate candidates.
WHAT WE OFFER
We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being, growth, and work-life balance. Benefits vary by country and may include healthcare coverage, parental leave, retirement plans, relocation support, wellness programs, meal and transportation allowances, and other location-specific perks.

PAYOR INTELLIGENCE SR. ANALYST
COMPANY DESCRIPTION
Today, when you go to your doctor and get referred to a specialist, your doctor sends out a referral and tells you, "They'll be in touch soon." So you wait. And wait. Sometimes days, weeks, or even months. Why? Because too often providers are overwhelmed with the painstakingly tedious work required to get paid by insurance companies. Powered by proprietary models, Tennr handles the complex paperwork that gets patients through the door and providers paid, helping operators get patients the right care, at the right time, in the right setting.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
We're seeking a Payor Intelligence Analyst with deep knowledge of the U.S. payor landscape and a talent for turning fragmented, conflicting information into durable logic. Understanding how payors actually relate to one another, which entities own which plans, who delegates what, and which policy applies when, is work our entire product depends on. You'll build and own payor intelligence at Tennr as a zero-to-one function.
The payor landscape is a massive, constantly shifting dataset: parent organizations, subsidiaries, TPAs, PBMs, Medicaid MCOs, Medicare Advantage plans, delegated UM vendors, acquisitions, and rebrands. Your job is to make it legible, building the taxonomies, hierarchies, and governance that let our models and teams reason correctly about it, and translating that reality into product requirements alongside engineering, clinical, and operations.
If you've developed deep payer expertise inside a large organization, this is the rare seat with clear ownership and impact.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and own payor entity mapping: the hierarchies, families, subsidiaries, TPAs, PBMs, and delegated relationships that define how coverage and authorization actually flow.
- Source, interpret, and govern medical policies, coverage criteria, government guidance, and fee schedules, establishing effective dating, provenance, and version control.
- Design the delegated-relationship logic behind prior authorization, determining which entity owns the decision for a given plan, product, and service.
- Identify and track the clinical content sources our policies depend on, such as InterQual and NCCN, and own what we need to contract for and when.
- Map prospect and customer payor data back to Tennr's payor model, turning a recurring manual effort into a repeatable system.
- Embrace a founder's mindset, proactively driving projects from conception to completion, and contributing significantly to our company's growth and success.
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years working across the U.S. payor landscape, with real breadth across Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid and MCOs, and commercial lines of business.
- Fluency in payor structure: payor families, subsidiaries, TPAs, PBMs, delegated entities, regional versus national plans, and self-funded versus fully insured arrangements.
- Experience researching and interpreting payor policies, government guidance, fee schedules, or clinical guidelines, including reconciling sources that disagree with each other.
- A track record of building taxonomies, frameworks, databases, or mapping systems that other people rely on, not just answering questions as they come in.
- Exceptional analytical and pattern-recognition skills, with the investigative instinct to work productively from ambiguous and incomplete information.
- Self-directed ownership of a domain end to end, without predefined process or constant validation.
- Outstanding communication skills, capable of articulating complex payor concepts to a diverse audience.
- Familiarity with SQL or comparable data tooling is a plus.
WHY TENNR?
- Drive Impact: one of our company values is Cowboy, meaning you set the pace. You won't just talk about things, you'll get them done. And feel the impact.
- Develop Operational Expertise: learn the inner workings of scaling systems, tools, and infrastructure
- Innovate with Purpose: we're not just doing this for fun (although we do have a lot of fun). At Tennr, you'll join a high-caliber team maniacally focused on reducing patient delays across the U.S. healthcare system.
- Build Relationships: collaborate and connect with like-minded, driven individuals in our Hudson Square office (travel to office on quarterly basis)
BENEFITS
- Remote Flexibility
- Unlimited PTO
- 100% paid employee health benefit options
- Employer funded 401(k) match
- Competitive parental leave

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
Anthropic is seeking Software Engineers to join our Observability team within the Infrastructure organization. The Observability team owns the monitoring and telemetry infrastructure that every engineer and researcher at Anthropic depends on—from metrics and logging pipelines to distributed tracing, profiling, error analytics, alerting, and the dashboards and query interfaces that make it all actionable. By joining this team, you'll have a direct impact on the reliability and operational excellence of Anthropic's research and product systems.
As Anthropic scales its infrastructure across massive GPU, TPU, and Trainium clusters, the volume and complexity of operational data is growing by orders of magnitude—and an increasing share of the hardest problems live below the application layer. We're building next-generation observability systems—high-throughput telemetry pipelines, fleet-wide continuous profiling, eBPF-based tracing and network visibility, and agentic diagnostic tools—so engineers can detect, diagnose, and resolve issues in minutes rather than hours, even when the answer lies in the kernel, the network stack, or an accelerator rather than on a dashboard.
Key responsibilities
Design and build scalable telemetry ingest and storage pipelines for metrics, logs, traces, and error data across Anthropic's multi-cluster infrastructure
Build observability solutions that give engineers deep, low-overhead visibility into system behavior across the fleet
Own and evolve core observability platforms, driving migrations and architectural improvements that improve reliability, reduce cost, and scale with organizational growth
Build instrumentation libraries, SDKs, and eBPF-based auto-instrumentation to emit high-quality telemetry, with and without code changes
Reduce mean time to detection and resolution by building cross-signal correlation—from kernel-level events up to application traces—unified query interfaces, and AI-assisted diagnostic tooling
Drive fleet-wide efficiency by turning continuous profiling and utilization telemetry into actionable optimization insights across CPU, memory, and accelerator fleets
Partner with Research, Inference, Product, and Infrastructure teams to ensure observability solutions meet the unique needs of each organization
Minimum qualifications
Have hands-on experience building and operating large-scale observability or monitoring infrastructure
Have deep, hands-on experience with observability signals end to end—from instrumentation through ingest to query and analysis
Understand high-throughput telemetry pipelines and the tradeoffs involved in collecting, storing, and querying operational data at scale
Are comfortable digging below the application layer into the kernel, the network stack, or the hardware
Have excellent communication skills and enjoy partnering with internal teams to improve their operational visibility and incident response capabilities
Are excited about building foundational infrastructure and comfortable navigating ambiguous, high-impact technical challenges, both independently and with a team
Preferred qualifications
10+ years of relevant industry experience, including building and operating large-scale observability or monitoring infrastructure
Experience building or operating eBPF-based observability in production—tracing, profiling, or network visibility
Experience running continuous profiling at fleet scale, including managing overhead budgets and symbolization
Kernel- and syscall-level debugging experience and performance engineering craft
Experience profiling or instrumenting accelerator workloads
Experience operating metrics systems at very high cardinality, or large-scale telemetry storage backends
Experience with OpenTelemetry instrumentation, collector pipelines, and tail-based sampling strategies
Interest in applying AI/LLMs to operational workflows such as automated root cause analysis, anomaly detection, or intelligent alerting
The annual compensation range for this role is listed below.
For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.
Annual Salary:
£325,000
—
£390,000 GBP
Logistics
Minimum education:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
Required field of study:
A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
Minimum years of experience:
Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position
Location-based hybrid policy:
Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
Visa sponsorship:
We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification.
Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.
Your safety matters to us.
To protect yourself from potential scams, remember that Anthropic recruiters only contact you from @anthropic.com email addresses. In some cases, we may partner with vetted recruiting agencies who will identify themselves as working on behalf of Anthropic. Be cautious of emails from other domains. directly for confirmed position openings.
How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

You are energized by ambiguity, motivated by winning deals the right way, and capable of bringing the voice of the prospect back into how Coder builds and sells.
What you will be doing:
- Own the technical relationship with prospects through pre-sales, and efficiently manage towards a technical win
- Demo the Coder platform from the developer, administrator, and AI agent workflow perspectives
- Install Coder on cloud and on-prem Kubernetes or VM infrastructure
- Run proofs-of-concept that prove Coder’s value including for agentic and LLM-powered development workflows and accelerate deals

What you bring:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Solutions Engineer selling infrastructure or developer tooling
- Strong customer-facing skills that win trust with technical stakeholders

- Startup-speed execution, ownership mindset, and a player-coach attitude
Bonus tacos if you have
- (Tacos? If you need an ice-breaker, ask how we say thanks by giving tacos!)
- Success at both high-growth startups and larger software vendors
- Direct experience deploying or supporting AI coding agents in customer environments (e.g. Claude Code, Devin, or similar autonomous/semi-autonomous dev tools)

INTERVIEW PROCESS
We believe that the interview process should be transparent, consistent, and enjoyable. We value your time and hope to complete the interview process in two to four weeks, if schedules allow. Through your interviews, you will meet a mix of individual contributors, managers, and senior leaders.
AI USE DURING THE INTERVIEW PROCESS
As an AI company, Coder embraces the use of AI tools, and we want to be transparent about our expectations as you navigate our interview process.
Not permitted: Using AI assistance during conversational interviews.
Permitted: Using AI tooling for take-home assessments. Please flag where and to what extent it was used in your take-home. Your submission will not be penalized for using AI as long as it is done honestly.
OUR USE OF AI IN HIRING
We use AI tools to help manage our recruitment process efficiently and fairly. Specifically:
- Ashby and Brainerr help us review inbound applications by surfacing candidates who best match the role requirements we've defined. This tool does not make hiring decisions; it helps our team prioritize which applications to review first.
- Granola takes notes during our interview calls so our team can focus on the conversation with you.
All hiring decisions are made by humans. Our team reviews applications, conducts interviews, and makes final selections. AI tools assist us but never replace human judgment, and these practices are conducted in compliance with applicable data protection, AI governance, and labor laws. Your data is not used to train AI models.
In accordance with New York City Local Law 144, an independent bias audit has been conducted on "Automated Employment Decision Tools"; results are available for Ashby https://www.ashbyhq.com/downloadables/ashby-bias-audit-08-2024.pdf.
