By combining advanced sensing, data science, and technology designed for continuous wear, WHOOP delivers insights that help members better understand and improve their health and performance.
WHOOP is looking for a Senior Sensor Intelligence Engineer to join our Embedded Controls team within Sensor Intelligence and help shape the sensing capabilities across current and future WHOOP devices. Sitting at the intersection of signal processing, machine learning, embedded systems, and sensor technology, you will develop algorithms that interpret real-world sensor signals and intelligently control how sensors operate on-device. You will work across the sensing stack from understanding sensor physics and signal characteristics through algorithm development and embedded deployment to enable increasingly sophisticated sensing capabilities while meeting the power, compute, memory, and reliability constraints of a continuously worn device.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop signal-processing and machine-learning algorithms that interpret physiological, motion, and other wearable sensor signals, including applications such as activity and state detection, wear detection, signal-quality assessment, and device-state estimation
- Design intelligent embedded control strategies that dynamically configure sensor behavior based on signal quality, device state, user context, system requirements, and power constraints
- Characterize new and existing sensors by understanding signal behavior, noise sources, artifacts, dynamic range, sampling requirements, calibration, operating modes, and the impact of analog and acquisition architectures
- Prototype algorithms and sensing strategies using tools such as Python or MATLAB, then partner with Firmware Engineering to translate them into robust, computationally efficient implementations suitable for resource-constrained embedded systems
- Partner closely with Firmware, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Hardware, and broader Sensor Intelligence teams to bring up new sensing modalities, debug issues across the sensing stack, and inform sensing architectures for future WHOOP products
- Develop experiments, analysis frameworks, and validation methodologies to evaluate sensor and algorithm performance across users and real-world conditions, optimizing solutions for accuracy, robustness, latency, memory, compute, and power
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Physics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong foundation in digital signal processing and time-series analysis, with experience applying techniques such as filtering, spectral analysis, sampling theory, noise reduction, and feature extraction to real-world sensor data
- Experience developing signal-processing and/or machine-learning algorithms for noisy, artifact-prone sensor data and taking algorithms beyond offline analysis toward real-time, embedded, or production implementation
- Strong proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or similar algorithm-development environments, with working knowledge of C/C++ and embedded-system considerations such as timing, memory, compute, and hardware interfaces
- Working knowledge of sensor and electrical systems, including concepts such as ADCs, analog front ends, sampling, digital interfaces, noise, calibration, and signal acquisition
- Ability to investigate and solve ambiguous engineering problems across algorithm, firmware, sensor, and electrical boundaries using strong experimental and analytical methods
- Experience with wearable, physiological, optical, impedance, motion, multimodal, or related sensor systems is valued; experience with embedded inference, sensor fusion, fixed-point processing, quantization, low-power sensing, or microcontroller deployment is a plus
- Strong commitment to embracing and leveraging AI tools in day-to-day tasks, ensuring AI-assisted work aligns with the same high-quality standards as personal contributions.
Interested in the role, but don't meet every qualification? We encourage you to still apply! At WHOOP, we believe there is much more to a candidate than what is written on paper, and we value character as much as experience. As we continue to build a diverse and inclusive environment, we encourage anyone who is interested in this role to apply.

From Fivetran’s founding until now, our mission has remained the same: to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. We’re proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven.
About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Core team behind dbt V2, dbt’s next-generation engine. This is a backfill role for an engineering leader who can combine strong software-engineering judgment with people leadership, product partnership, and the ability to navigate a highly cross-functional technical area.
The Core team is responsible for building, maintaining, and evolving the Rust-based engine that powers dbt Fusion. The team primarily works on the dbt V2 runtime itself, SQL language features powered by Static Analysis, and new ELT primitives.
The role sits at the center of several parts of the dbt product: the engine and orchestration, the IDE and developer experience, adapters and data warehouses, and our new compute offering, LakeCompute. You’ll help the team make sound technical and product decisions while keeping a stable GA product moving forward.
About the Team
The Core team is part of a broader organization that includes adapters, growth, the VS Code extension, compute, and other closely connected teams. It partners frequently with Product and with the teams responsible for orchestration, IDE experiences, adapters, and LakeCompute.
In this role, you can expect to:
Lead, coach, and develop a fluid team of approximately 8 engineers working on a critical part of the dbt product.
Establish clarity across a technically demanding roadmap with multiple product and engineering stakeholders.

Support engineers in making sound tradeoffs across product value, technical quality, performance, compatibility, and delivery risk.
Actively contribute to technical design and implementation alongside the team.
Work with peer engineering leaders to coordinate initiatives that span multiple teams and systems.
Build an environment where engineers can do high-quality work, grow their scope, and take ownership of meaningful technical problems.
Help shape the next phase of dbt Fusion as a language-aware transformation engine used by the broader data community.
Mandatory skills
Experience leading teams through multiple concurrent priorities and diverse integration points.

Ability to lead or facilitate system design from problem definition through implementation and delivery.
Ability to translate complex or ambiguous product requirements into credible engineering estimates, milestones, and tradeoffs.
Demonstrated judgment in balancing roadmap delivery with reliability, maintainability, technical debt, and product quality.
A hands-on technical orientation, including a willingness and ability to stay close to code and engineering details.
You are a good fit if you have:
Led a software team through the full development lifecycle: discovery, design, implementation, testing, release, operation, and iteration.
Worked on products with substantial technical complexity, integration surfaces, or platform dependencies.
Successfully partnered with Product and other engineering teams to create a stable roadmap and make difficult prioritization decisions.
Experience in data transformation, orchestration, query engines, databases, developer tools, compilers, language tooling, or a closely related area. Direct dbt experience is helpful but not required.
The ability to explain complex technical systems clearly to engineers, product partners, and candidates with different levels of technical depth.
A track record of developing strong engineers while maintaining a high technical bar.
Comfort operating in a fluid environment where team boundaries, priorities, and scope may evolve.
You’ll have an edge if you have:
Experience with Rust or another systems programming language, compilers, query planning, language servers, IDE tooling, or developer platforms.
Experience building or operating data transformation, orchestration, warehouse, or execution systems.
Contributions to open-source projects or experience working with open standards and open technical communities.
Familiarity with ecosystems such as Apache Arrow, Apache Iceberg, DuckDB, ADBC, or related data and execution technologies.
Experience with SQL semantics, query optimization, transpilation across dialects, data lineage, governance, or developer-facing language features.
Experience working in a remote-first or distributed organization with strong written communication practices.
Startup or scale-up experience and comfort wearing multiple hats while the organization evolves.

Partner closely with Product to translate ambiguous requirements into realistic engineering scope, sequencing, and estimates.
Help the team balance new feature development, engine maintenance, framework modernization, documentation, and the stability of a GA product.
Guide end-to-end technical design across the engine and its integration points with orchestration, the IDE, adapters, warehouses, and late compute.
Strong software-engineering fundamentals and prior experience as a senior/staff engineer, technical lead, or equivalent hands-on technical leader.

ABOUT US:
AI NEEDS A NEW INFRASTRUCTURE LAYER. WE'RE BUILDING IT AT MODAL.
Every era of computing brought new workloads that previous infrastructure couldn't support: mainframes, databases, and the cloud. Each time, the company that rebuilt the layer underneath defined the decade. AI is no different, except it touches everything instead of one slice, and the window to build the layer underneath it is open right now.
Our customers include category-defining companies like Ramp https://modal.com/blog/how-ramp-built-a-full-context-background-coding-agent-on-modal, Cognition, DoorDash, and Suno. WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON:
- Own customer contracting, including MSAs, service orders, NDAs, DPAs, and BAAs, negotiating directly with customers and partnering with the Sales team throughout the full deal cycle
- Lead vendor-side contracting, including capex procurement, SaaS tools, and consulting arrangements, among others
- Build and maintain contract repositories, template libraries, and contract playbooks
- Partner with Legal Operations on our CLM, including approval workflows and escalation logic

About the job
Keet is a fully peer-to-peer messaging and video calling app built on Holepunch's P2P stack. There are no servers, no middlemen, and no data harvesting. People talk directly to each other, with end-to-end encryption by design.
We are looking for a
Senior Technical Product Manager
to own the vision for Keet and lead it to a billion users, competing head-on with WhatsApp and Telegram. This is not a maintenance role. You will define where Keet goes, convince the board and the team that it is the right direction, and then drive the execution that gets it there.
You are a rare combination of three things. You are a product visionary who has shipped consumer chat or calling apps at scale. You are a technologist who can go deep on P2P architecture and the Pear / Holepunch stack (docs.pears.com). And you are a hands-on builder who uses AI tools to prototype and prove concepts in days, not months. You set the bar high, move at incredible speed, and lead from the front.
You will also be the person who catches what others miss. The PM who thrives here reads every ticket, tracks every dependency, asks the uncomfortable question before it becomes a launch incident, and keeps five workstreams moving simultaneously without losing the thread on any of them.
If you prefer a PM role where you set strategy and delegate execution, this is not the right fit. If you want to build something that ships to real users, moves markets, and carries your fingerprints from concept to production, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
Vision & Strategy
Own and articulate the long-term product vision for Keet as the world's leading private, peer-to-peer communication app, with a clear path to 1 billion users.
Analyze WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, LINE, WeChat and emerging competitors to identify where P2P gives Keet an unfair advantage, and build the roadmap around it.
Present product vision, strategy, metrics and progress to the board and executive leadership with clarity and conviction.
Define a growth strategy across acquisition, activation, retention and virality, with measurable targets at every stage.
Technical Product Leadership
Develop a deep working understanding of the Holepunch P2P stack (Pear runtime, Bare, Hypercore, Hyperswarm, HyperDHT, Autobase, Hyperbee) and translate its capabilities and constraints into product decisions.
Partner with core engineering on hard P2P problems at scale, including NAT traversal, offline sync, multi-device support, large groups, push notifications, and battery and data efficiency on mobile.
Own the real-time calling experience (1:1 and group voice and video, plus screen sharing) to a quality bar that matches or beats Google Meet and Zoom.
Define clear feature tiers with explicit labels for stable versus experimental functionality.
Rapid Prototyping with AI
Use AI coding and design tools to build working prototypes and demos that prove concepts before committing engineering resources.
Turn ideas into something the team, users and the board can see and touch within days.
Execution & Team Leadership
Lead the product team and run the sprint cadence end to end, covering planning, prioritization, standups, reviews and retrospectives.
Own deliverables from conception through release, testing and post-launch iteration, ensuring core functionality works reliably every time.
Maintain issue trackers and roadmaps that accurately reflect priorities and sprint commitments.
Coordinate across engineering, QA, design, marketing and business stakeholders, and manage cross-team dependencies across the Holepunch and Tether ecosystem.
Provide transparent updates on status, risks and timeline changes, and hold direct conversations about accountability when needed.
Mobile & Distribution
Own the mobile release process across iOS and Android. This includes App Store and Google Play submissions, review guidelines, compliance, store listings, ratings and release management.
Oversee desktop distribution and installers across macOS, Windows and Linux.
Build crash reporting, debugging and analytics systems, privacy-preserving by design, that turn user reports into actionable engineering data.
Mandatory:
8+ years of product management experience, including significant time in a senior or lead role owning a consumer product end to end.
Strong product sense, with a proven track record of setting product vision and driving it to measurable outcomes at scale (tens of millions of users or more).
Experience leading engineers who ship products, including running sprint cadences with predictable delivery across cross-functional teams.
Deep JavaScript and React skills. You can read and write production code, review pull requests, and build working prototypes yourself.
Intuition for distributed and local-first systems. You don't need P2P expertise, because our core abstracts it away, but you should be able to reason about sync, offline behavior and consistency trade-offs.
Hands-on experience shipping and scaling mobile apps on iOS and Android, with deep familiarity with App Store and Google Play logistics, review processes and release management.
Experience with real-time voice and video calling products (such as Google Meet, Zoom, FaceTime or WhatsApp calls) and the quality, latency and reliability trade-offs involved.
Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to rapidly prototype and demonstrate product concepts.
Exceptional communication skills, with experience presenting vision and strategy to boards, executives and investors.
A strong understanding of urgency versus importance, and the judgment to make fast, high-quality decisions with incomplete information.
You thrive in a high-intensity, fast-moving environment, set an exceptionally high bar, and are willing to go above and beyond, including extended hours, when the mission demands it.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Nice to have:
Product leadership experience at a major messaging app such as WhatsApp, Telegram, LINE, WeChat, Signal, Viber or KakaoTalk.
Experience with peer-to-peer technologies, distributed systems or decentralized protocols. Prior exposure to Holepunch, Pear or Hypercore is a strong plus.
Experience growing a product in emerging markets or across multiple regions and languages.
A background in privacy, encryption or security-focused products.
Familiarity with Electron, React Native or similar cross-platform frameworks, as well as installer systems, boot performance and Linux packaging (Snap, AppImage, Flatpak).
A solid understanding of testing approaches (unit, integration, end-to-end), test automation and performance testing.
An engineering background or computer science degree.
Experience with Git, issue trackers and modern collaboration tools.
Why this role:
The next billion-user communication app will not run on someone else's servers. If you want to be the person who defines it, presents it to the board, prototypes it yourself, and then leads the team that ships it, we want to hear from you.
In your application, include a link to a product you have shipped or a prototype you have built, along with a few sentences on how you would take Keet to 1 billion users.
