Location: USA - Austin (dbt)
From Fivetran’s founding until now, our mission has remained the same: to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. We’re proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven.
About Us
Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industry-leading companies with a shared mission: helping organizations unlock the full value of their data. Together, we’re delivering the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data — from the moment data moves, through every transformation, to the context teams and AI systems rely on. Fivetran helps organizations automate data movement across the systems, clouds, engines, and tools they rely on. dbt Labs pioneered analytics engineering, helping teams transform data into reliable, governed insights. Together, we support thousands of organizations as they build a trusted foundation for analytics, AI, and better business decisions. As we bring our teams and technology together, we’re building on the strengths of both companies while continuing to deliver the products and experiences our customers know and trust. It’s an exciting time to join us: we’re creating a company with the scale, talent, and technology to help more organizations put their data to work with greater speed, confidence, and impact. During this transition period, you may see references to both Fivetran and dbt Labs throughout our recruiting process as we integrate our teams, systems, and career sites.
About the Role
Fivetran and dbt are building the open data infrastructure that powers AI agents you can trust.
Fivetran is looking for a Senior R&D Software Engineer to join our fast-growing Fivetran AI team. Your data stack was built for humans — but agents are the new primary data consumers, and they have fundamentally different requirements. Agents can’t intuit context; it must be explicitly codified, governed, and traceable. We’re building the governed context layer that solves this problem: Agents Schema, an open standard for storing agent-ready context directly in the customer’s own data warehouse, and Context Builder, the managed service that keeps it filled and fresh.
This role goes well beyond standard engineering. You’ll research emerging techniques in the fast-moving AI landscape and bring real product and market understanding to decide which ideas are worth pursuing — and then you’ll take what you’ve learned and ship it as production software. We’re looking for a true generalist who is willing and able to wear whatever hat the moment calls for: prototyping a new retrieval technique one week, hardening a backend service the next, then doing SRE or QA work when the team needs it. Fivetran AI operates like a startup within Fivetran, and we need engineers who thrive on that range rather than staying in one lane.
Fivetran is the epitome of data-driven development — our engineering team is focused on building a world class product that:
Builds Infrastructure Agents Can Trust
— join our mission to deliver the governed context layer that AI agents depend on: accurate semantic definitions, traceable lineage, data contracts, and auditable history baked in from the start.
Embraces Open Standards
— help build portable, interoperable data infrastructure: Agents Schema, open formats (Iceberg, Delta Lake), MCP-native interfaces, and connector skills that work with any model and any compute.
Scales Without Breaking
— work to make Fivetran AI efficient at agent scale, where unit costs deflate as volume grows and context retrieval is fast, accurate, and cost-controlled.
We emphasize using no-nonsense tools and take great pride in the simplicity and effectiveness of the systems we build. Our back-end is built on Java, Python, Postgres, and Kubernetes, and our front-end is built on React and TypeScript.
This is a full-time hybrid position based out of our Austin, TX office. Our hybrid work model offers a blend of remote flexibility and in-person collaboration, including two days in the office each week to connect and build as a team.
Technologies You’ll Use
Python, Java, SQL, dbt, LLMs (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini), vector databases, BigQuery / Snowflake / Databricks, MCP protocol, React, TypeScript, Kubernetes
What You’ll Do
Research emerging techniques in retrieval, reasoning, and agentic AI, and evaluate what’s actually relevant to Fivetran AI’s roadmap
Prototype new ideas quickly, then take the ones that prove out and turn them into shipped, production-grade features
Build and maintain both back-end and front-end systems for the Fivetran AI product — from Agents Schema pipelines to the Context Catalog UI
Contribute to the AISQL capability: natural language to SQL grounded in dbt metric definitions, executed natively against the warehouse
Take ownership of production reliability: on-call rotation, incident response, and SRE work to keep the platform trustworthy at scale
Write and maintain tests, and do hands-on QA to catch issues before customers do
Use coding agents to automate the repetitive parts of the job, freeing up time for the research and design work that needs a human
Partner with product and design, bringing your own understanding of the AI tooling market to shape what gets built next
Develop software designs and contribute to the technical roadmap for the Fivetran AI platform
Contribute to hiring by participating in the interview process
Skills We’re Looking For
5+ years of programming experience across Python and/or Java, with the ability to move fluidly between back-end and front-end work
Considered a trusted expert in your subject area, capable of executing complex, ambiguous tasks with minimal hand-holding
Comfortable reading AI/ML research and turning promising findings into working prototypes
Strong product and market awareness — able to judge which emerging techniques are worth building versus which are hype
Experience with SQL and data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar)
Genuine willingness to work across the full stack: research, backend, frontend, SRE, and QA, as the team’s needs demand
Writes well-structured, performant code and can dive into unfamiliar codebases to suggest improvements
Experience using coding agents or similar AI tooling to speed up day-to-day engineering work
Analytical mindset to identify gaps in existing systems and design practical, pragmatic improvements
Thrives in a startup-like environment with shifting priorities and a high degree of ownership
Bonus Skills
Experience with LLM-powered applications — RAG pipelines, embeddings, evaluation frameworks, or agent frameworks
Familiarity with semantic layers — dbt, LookML, Sigma, or similar
Experience with the MCP (Model Context Protocol) ecosystem or building AI agent integrations
Background in site reliability engineering — monitoring, alerting, incident response
Experience in data processing (ETL, ELT) and/or building data connectors
Experienced working in a cloud environment utilizing AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, or Docker
Contributions to open source AI or data projects

About Vercel:
Vercel is the agentic infrastructure company, freeing people and agents to ship what's next. For more than a decade we've helped builders move from idea to production with speed, security, and exceptional developer experience.
Now we're scaling our products for both agents and people to ship and run software, built in the open and trusted by OpenAI, PayPal, Ramp, Supreme, and millions of developers worldwide.
About the role
We're hiring a Head of Professional Services to build and lead Vercel's global professional services organization, composed of our Technical Account Management (TAM) and Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) functions. These functions embed directly with our most strategic customers to design, build, and ship production applications on Vercel using Vercel's core platform, Next.js and our agent stack, taking projects from first prototype through production rollout. You will define how this function operates: the engagement model, the delivery methodology, the commercial structure, and the team itself.
You will report directly to our Global Head of Field Engineering, and partner closely with GTM and Product Leadership to run a business function that turns our largest customers' complex implementations into production deployments, drives adoption and expansion, and feeds what you learn in the field back into our product roadmap.
This is a hybrid position based in San Francisco, Austin or New York, with 3 days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Friday) required in office.
What you'll do
Define the engagement model: how engagements are scoped, staffed, sequenced, and measured, and which accounts qualify for embedded support.
Own delivery excellence for strategic customer engagements, from discovery and technical scoping through production deployment and stabilization.
Establish the commercial model for professional services, including packaging, pricing, capacity planning, and resource allocation across competing customer priorities.
Stay hands-on where it matters: architecture reviews, system design, and unblocking critical engagements alongside your team.
Codify field learnings into repeatable playbooks, reference architectures, and delivery patterns that scale beyond individual engagements
What you need
10+ years in software engineering, forward deployed engineering, or technical consulting roles, with at least 5 years leading customer-facing engineering or delivery teams in a high-growth environment.
Experience building a team, function, or service line from zero, including hiring, methodology, and operating model.
Strong background in modern web technologies (JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, cloud infrastructure) with the ability to review code and whiteboard architectures credibly.
Experience building or deploying LLM-powered applications and an understanding of how model behavior shapes product decisions.
Commercial acumen: you have scoped, priced, and delivered technical engagements for enterprise customers and understand utilization, margin, and capacity tradeoffs
Bonus if you
Have built with Vercel, Next.js, AI SDK, or v0.
Have led forward deployed or embedded engineering teams at an AI-native or developer platform company.
Have owned a professional services P&L or defined services pricing and packaging from scratch.
Are comfortable representing the function externally at conferences, customer executive briefings, or large-scale events.
Benefits & Compensation:
Competitive compensation package, including equity.
Inclusive Healthcare Package.
Learn and Grow - we provide mentorship and send you to events that help you build your network and skills.
Flexible Time Off.
We will provide you the gear you need to do your role, and a WFH budget for you to outfit your space as needed.
The San Francisco, CA base pay range for this role is $300,000 - $370,000 plus annual bonus. Actual salary will be based on job-related skills, experience, and location. Compensation outside of San Francisco may be adjusted based on employee location. About the role
We are looking for a Head of Solutions Architecture to join our global Field Engineering team. You will build and lead the technical sales organization behind our relationships with the new and leading startups shaping how web and AI products get built. These teams ship using Vercel's core platform, Next.js, and our AI stack, and the technical decisions made in their first architecture review often determine how far they scale with us.
You will own a global team of Solutions Architects within our Startups sales organization. Beyond running the team, you will shape how Vercel wins in this segment. You will turn patterns from the field into repeatable plays and carry what startups tell you back to our engineering org so it shows up in the product.
You will report directly to our Global Head of Field Engineering and partner closely with Sales and Field Engineering leadership to win new business and expand existing accounts. You will also own org planning, staffing, budgeting, and recruiting as you build the team this segment needs.
This is a hybrid position based in San Francisco, Austin, or New York, with 3 days per week in office.

Lead, develop, and manage Vercel's global Startups SA team, ensuring technical excellence across the pre-sales cycle.
Provide hands-on support for key accounts as needed (presentations, architecture reviews, migration plans).
Oversee and coach SA engagement on strategic accounts and critical deals, developing repeatable plays from trends you are seeing across your team.
Track and report SA performance to Sales and Field Engineering leadership quarterly.
Own org planning, staffing, budgeting, and recruiting.
What you need
10+ years of experience in Solutions Architecture, Sales Engineering, or similar technical pre-sales roles, with at least 5 years in a formal leadership position.
Strong background in modern web technologies (JavaScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, APIs, cloud infrastructure).
Proven ability to lead, coach, and scale technical teams in a high-growth environment.
Demonstrated success working with startups as customers across diverse industries.
Strong understanding of modern software development workflows (CI/CD, DevOps, frontend frameworks).
Experience collaborating with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to drive customer success.
Bonus if you
Have experience working with Vercel, Next.js, or similar frontend frameworks.
Have led SA teams at a high-growth developer tool or cloud infrastructure company.
Bring expertise in developer tooling, edge computing, or performance optimization.
Are comfortable presenting at conferences, webinars, or large-scale customer events.
The San Francisco, CA OTE pay range for this position is $382,000 - $485,000 OTE. Actual salary will be based on job-related skills, experience, and location. This is a highly specialised role requiring an individual who understands technical program delivery, the technical complexity of frontier AI models and the unique requirements of government and defence organisations.
You will be the critical bridge between our cutting-edge AI capabilities and the specific needs of Ministries, Agencies, and defence organisations across Europe. You'll navigate complex procurement processes, stringent security requirements, data sovereignty concerns, and regulatory compliance while ensuring our customers successfully deploy and scale our AI solutions.
In this role, you'll collaborate with our Strategic Customer team, Applied ML (AML) Engineering, Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE), Platform, Product, and Go-to-Market teams, serving as the technical program lead and trusted advisor for our most sensitive and high-impact government and defence engagements.
Location: France
Eligibility: Critically, this individual is required to be a French citizen living in France with fluency in French as this will enable immediate engagement with critical defence and national security customers.
Security Clearance: Active French Secret clearance is preferred; candidates eligible and willing to obtain clearance will also be considered.
What You'll Do
Customer Program Leadership:
- Own end-to-end technical program delivery for French and broader European public sector and defence customers, from initial deployment through production scaling
- Serve as the primary technical program point of contact for customers, building trusted relationships with departmental CIOs, IT directors, and technical teams
- Translate complex public sector and defence requirements (security, compliance, accessibility, bilingualism, data sovereignty) into actionable engineering plans
- Navigate complex procurement processes, RFP responses, and contractual technical obligations.
Strategic Communication:
- Provide clear, timely, and objective communication across Cohere's engineering organisation, customer stakeholders, pubic sector and defence leadership
- Translate between AI/ML technical concepts and government-appropriate language for decision-makers who may not have deep technical backgrounds
- Present technical roadmaps and status updates to senior stakeholders including departmental executives
- Represent Cohere's technical capabilities in sensitive government and defence contexts.
Complex Program Management:
- Create and manage project schedules that account for public sector and defence timelines, security review processes, and approval cycles
- Identify and manage dependencies across government departments, security authorities, cloud service providers, and internal Cohere teams
- Navigate risks unique to government and defence deployments: privacy compliance, security, political and regulatory, technology and infrastructure.
- Drive alignment between product development priorities and specific customer requirements.
Technical Delivery & Execution:
- Ensure on-time delivery of AI solutions that meet security, privacy, accessibility, and performance standards
- Coordinate technical work across multiple teams: model customisation, security hardening, integration with government systems, bilingual support
- Establish governance checkpoints appropriate for high-stakes government and defence deployments
- Problem-solve complex technical challenges in air-gapped, on-premises, or highly regulated environments.
You May Be a Good Fit If:
Required Experience:
- 6+ years of experience as a customer-facing Technical or Engineering Program Manager in AI/ML consulting, technology transformation, or enterprise software delivery.
- Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management.
- Experience working with government, defence, or heavily regulated customers.
- Proven track record managing complex, multi-stakeholder technical programs with stringent compliance requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree or technical certs a plus.
Technical Background:
- Strong understanding of enterprise software deployment architectures (cloud, on-premises, hybrid, air-gapped)
- Working knowledge of or experience with modern AI: LLMs, agentic systems, MCP, RAG, fine-tuning, evals, and responsible AI would be a strong differentiator
- Comfortable discussing API integrations, model inference, data pipelines, and ML operations with technical stakeholders.
Government & Defence Acumen:
- Deep understanding of how government and defence organisations procure, evaluate, and deploy technology
- Familiarity with European government requirements: data sovereignty, privacy laws (Privacy Act), accessibility standards, official languages obligations, security classifications
- Understanding of defence and national security considerations in AI deployment
- Experience with Algorithmic Impact Assessments or AI ethics frameworks is a strong asset
- Eligible to obtain French security clearance
Nice to Have:
- Active French security clearance (Secret or Top Secret)
- Bilingual (English/French) proficiency
- Background in or strong familiarity with European defence, intelligence, or critical infrastructure sectors
- Experience with GC Cloud services (Azure, AWS GovCloud) or Protected B/C environments
- Project management certification (PMP, PgMP) or government-specific methodologies.
Security Clearance Requirements
This role requires eligibility for French government security clearance.
Candidates must be eligible for French government clearance, meaning that they require French citizenship. In addition, this individual is required to be based in France and be fluent in French as this will enable immediate engagement with critical defence and national security customers.
What Makes This Role Unique
This isn't typical program management - it's a highly specialised role at the intersection of frontier AI, national security, and public sector digital transformation. You'll work on some of Canada's most sensitive and impactful AI deployments, helping government organisations harness cutting-edge technology while maintaining the highest standards of security, ethics, and accountability.

About Wolt
At Wolt, we create technology that brings joy, simplicity and earnings to the neighborhoods of the world. In 2014 we started with delivery of restaurant food. Now we’re building the delivery of (almost) everything and you’ll find us in over 500 cities in 30 countries around the world. In 2022 we joined forces with DoorDash and together we keep on dreaming big and expanding across the globe.
Working at Wolt isn’t always easy, but it’s definitely exciting. Here you’ll learn more, build more, and ship more than in most other companies. You’ll be challenged a lot, but also have a lot of fun on the way. So, if you’re a self-starter with drive and entrepreneurial spirit, this could be the ride of your life.
As a Staff Mobile Engineer in Global Retail, you'll shape how customers discover, browse, and buy retail products - apparel, beauty, electronics, auto parts and more - across Wolt, DoorDash and Deliveroo. Retail is a large growth opportunity for the business, and our mission is to be the most trusted and magical way to shop the brands and local stores customers love. You'll play a key role in making that real on mobile - from product discovery through to shopping experience in the apps millions of people use every day.
You’ll join an evolving area where we are replacing and improving parts of the existing consumer apps, owning specific retail journeys within large-scale B2C applications. This means working in a complex environment where multiple teams own different parts of the same app, and where strong technical judgment is needed to create consistency, quality and speed across teams.
This role is primarily iOS-focused, but combined iOS + Android experience is a strong plus.
What you'll be doing
Leading complex cross-team initiatives through design,
implementation, launch, and operational ownership, partnering with product, design, and business stakeholders to deliver measurable impact.
Driving and implementing
native iOS and Android
initiatives within shared consumer-facing apps - where retail teams ship alongside teams owning other journeys in the same applications - balancing speed, quality, and long-term maintainability.
Working within and helping evolve our
server-driven UI (SDUI)
approach, going beyond UI implementation to design configurable, component-based views.
Anticipating future product and architectural needs while establishing engineering standards across architecture, testing, release processes, observability, and incident management - proactively addressing scalability, performance, and reliability.
Championing
AI-enabled tooling
and practices that help mobile engineers move faster, without lowering the bar on quality.
Communicating complex technical decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders - with clear estimates, timelines, and trade-offs that support predictable delivery.
Mentoring engineers
- including those transitioning into mobile - and upholding engineering culture and best practices across teams.
What we're looking for
Deep expertise in mobile development and particularly with the iOS ecosystem
, including modern best practices, performance optimization, observability, modularity, SDK design, server-driven UI, CI/CD, and the navigating the AppStore processes.
Experience operating at Staff Engineer level or equivalent scope
, having led cross-team / cross-org initiatives.
A track record working on
large-scale, native consumer (B2C) applications,
ideally at a company where app ownership is split across multiple teams by vertical or feature area.
A pragmatic, impact-oriented mindset with a bias for action and simple, effective solutions. Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving clarity and execution in a fast-changing business environment.
Ability to influence and align stakeholders through clear communication and technical leadership.
Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to a culture of continuous learning.
Practical experience using AI as part of your engineering toolkit,
with good instincts for validation, quality, and when not to take output at face value.
Being familiar with Android, along with iOS, is a plus.

Data Stewardship & Product Storytelling: Act as the "Translator-in-Chief". Take complex data models and turn them into compelling narratives. Lead the development of AI Agents that can surface insights to managers in real-time. Ensure the "People Data Stack" is secure, GDPR/privacy-compliant, and acts as a "Single Source of Truth" across all People related offerings, products and services.
“Effectiveness at Work” Strategy: Identify opportunities to leverage “High Tech” solutions in our People offerings, and free up more time for “High Touch”, human involvement, thereby maximizing human value.

ABOUT DOCKER
Docker has been one of the most loved brands in developer tooling, trusted by more than 20 million monthly users and over 20 billion container image pulls. From solo founders to the world's largest companies, developers rely on Docker to build, share, and run their applications across our suite of products including Docker Desktop, Docker Hub, and Docker Scout.
We are a globally distributed, remote-first team building the tools that define how software gets built and delivered. As AI agents redefine software development, Docker is at the center of that shift, providing the sandboxed environments, verified images, and secure infrastructure that make autonomous workflows trustworthy by default.
