Location: San Francisco, CA | New York City, NY About Anthropic Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems. About the role Anthropic is seeking a Financial Data and Controls Lead to join our Billing Platform team. Billing Platform builds the systems customers use to transact with Anthropic: subscriptions, usage billing, quote to cash, invoicing, and payments. You'll be the dedicated owner of billing accuracy, reconciliation, and financial controls across those systems, making sure the right checks run, the right controls are in place, and the audit evidence exists. Our billing systems and pricing change often, and each flow needs to meet SOX requirements. Accurate billing is what lets us launch products and pricing quickly and still close the books on time. The hard problems today include validating negotiated pricing from contract to invoice, handling the many forms of credits, app store billing, and keeping controls current while the systems under them are replaced. This is a foundational role and the first hire of its kind on the team. You'll lead a working group of the reconciliation and controls owners from each billing engineering team, and you'll set the approach they follow. You'll work closely with Finance Systems, Accounting, Internal Audit, and Data Engineering. The role sits in Engineering and works with Finance every day. Our Data organization builds the pipelines and owns the warehouse, and you'll use that data and partner with that team. We're looking for an engineer or data practitioner with strong accounting domain knowledge, who can talk to engineers about systems and to Finance and auditors about risk and materiality. Key responsibilities Own reconciliation and accuracy checks for critical billing data (quantity, price, discounts, and invoices) across our product platform, third-party billing and payment providers, app stores, cloud marketplaces, and in-house systems Design and run detective controls that catch billing errors before they reach the accounting books Partner with billing engineering teams to turn repeat checks into automated verifiers Review billing changes that have financial impact, flag the ones that touch SOX or IT application controls (ITACs), and make sure functional test evidence is in place Make SOX review a standard, lightweight step in how billing changes ship, treated like a security review, so launches are not delayed by it Own the end-to-end test strategy and audit evidence for those changes, working with Finance Systems, Data Engineering, Accounting, and Internal Audit Triage billing errors, prioritize backfills and fixes with the owning teams, and track materiality over time Define and maintain the data contracts between billing and finance systems, so downstream teams can find and trust the data they need Lead the working group of reconciliation and controls owners across billing engineering teams, through influence and not reporting lines Act as the Billing owner, alongside Accounting and Finance Systems, for translating the product and pricing roadmap into financial impact, test strategy, and process updates Minimum qualifications Experience building or owning a financial ledger, billing reconciliation, or cash reconciliation system end to end, one that Accounting relied on to close the books Hands-on SQL skills strong enough to take two messy datasets (for example usage events and invoices), match them, find the breaks, and explain the root cause Accounting domain knowledge (order to cash, month-end close, and materiality) sufficient to tell which billing changes have financial impact Experience working with SOX and Internal Audit teams on IT application controls, detective controls, transaction monitoring, functional test evidence, and auditor walkthroughs Experience defining data contracts between billing or product systems and finance systems such as the ERP, general ledger, or revenue recognition Track record of driving work across Engineering, Finance, Accounting, and Audit without direct authority Ability to explain technical issues to Finance and auditors in their terms, and financial risk to engineers in theirs Interest in AI and a commitment to Anthropic's mission of building safe, beneficial AI systems Preferred qualifications Background as a backend, data, or analytics engineer who built a financial ledger or cash reconciliation system from scratch Experience running these systems under public company reporting requirements, and scaling them as the company grew Experience with usage-based or consumption billing Experience with multi-party billing, such as marketplaces, or app stores Experience turning manual checks into automated verifiers with engineering teams Experience remediating a control deficiency, or standing up a controls program while the underlying systems were changing A track record of using Claude or other AI tools to automate reconciliation, testing, or evidence collection, with checks that hold up to review Experience with billing and finance tools such as Stripe, Metronome, Zuora, NetSuite, or Workday Financials Python for data analysis or automation The annual compensation range for this role is listed below. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. Annual Salary: $345,000 — $425,000 USD Logistics Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience Required field of study: A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience Minimum years of experience: Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices. Visa sponsorship: We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this. We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification. Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team. Your safety matters to us. To protect yourself from potential scams, remember that Anthropic recruiters only contact you from @anthropic.com email addresses. In some cases, we may partner with vetted recruiting agencies who will identify themselves as working on behalf of Anthropic. Be cautious of emails from other domains. Legitimate Anthropic recruiters will never ask for money, fees, or banking information before your first day. If you're ever unsure about a communication, don't click any links—visit anthropic.com/careers directly for confirmed position openings. How we're different We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills. The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences. Come work with us! Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues. Location: San Francisco, CA | New York City, NY | Seattle, WA About Anthropic Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems. About the role Reinforcement learning is how Claude learns to reason, write code, and act autonomously over long horizons. At frontier scale, an RL run is a large distributed system: training, sampling, and environment execution run concurrently across a large fleet of accelerators and hosts. As an engineer in RL Engineering, you'll work on keeping that system secure as it scales. This is a hands-on engineering role. You'll work in the RL codebase and the infrastructure underneath it, alongside the engineers and researchers who build and use it. The system is large and changes as fast as the research does, so security work here has to keep up with that pace without costing performance or velocity. We're hiring from two backgrounds: security engineers who want to work on large-scale ML systems, and ML systems or research engineers who want to work on security. Strong candidates have depth in one and real interest in the other. Key responsibilities Design, build, and operate security controls for RL training systems and the infrastructure they run on Work across the stack (orchestration, environments, training, inference) wherever the work is needed Review designs and code across the RL stack, find security problems, and fix them Build shared libraries and tooling that other RL engineers and researchers build on Build the observability needed to understand what these systems are doing Work with researchers and performance engineers to make sure security changes preserve training correctness and performance Write clear design documents for what you build Minimum qualifications Strong software engineering skills in Python and at least one systems language such as Rust, C++, or Go Experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems or security systems in production Strong understanding of security fundamentals Working knowledge of Linux, containers, and cloud infrastructure Experience debugging complex problems across many hosts and services Ability to reason about tradeoffs between security, performance, and reliability Strong written communication, including design documents Preferred qualifications Experience running ML training or inference infrastructure at scale Experience with infrastructure security, such as isolation, access control, networking, or identity Experience with container orchestration such as Kubernetes, and with sandboxed or virtualized code execution at scale Experience building observability for large fleets Experience supporting research teams or other fast-moving internal users Familiarity with reinforcement learning or large language model training workloads The annual compensation range for this role is listed below. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. Annual Salary: $320,000 — $405,000 USD Logistics Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience Required field of study: A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience Minimum years of experience: Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. Location: Remote-Friendly (Travel-Required) | San Francisco, CA | New York City, NY About Anthropic Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems. About the role Anthropic's go-to-market organization is growing quickly, and our most important priorities for customers and for our field rarely sit within one team. Priorities cut across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Product, Revenue Operations, Enablement, Finance, Legal, Partnerships and more. We're looking for a strategic program manager to own these initiatives end to end. You'll start with an ambiguous ask, sometimes from a senior leader and sometimes from a signal in the data. You'll find the root cause of the problem and design a solution with subject-matter experts across the company, then drive it from strategy to planning to results to iteration. You’ll bring stakeholders along while still moving quickly to the right answer. The work ranges from large cross-functional programs to short, focused SWAT efforts on urgent questions. Success looks like making better decisions, faster, for our customers and our field. This is a strategic, highly cross-functional individual contributor role for someone equally comfortable building a business case, running a forum with senior stakeholders, getting into the data, and working directly with the field. You'll operate with high autonomy on the most critical GTM questions we face. Key responsibilities Own a portfolio of strategic GTM programs end to end, each starting from a business problem (e.g., customer activation, seller efficiency, model launches) and running from scoping through launch, operationalization, results, and iteration Act as a thought partner to Sales and GTM leaders: identify, scope, and prioritize the programs most worth doing, and say no to the rest Turn ambiguous, loosely scoped problems into structured analysis, a defensible model, and a clear plan with owners, milestones, and decision points Align and drive teams across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Product, Revenue Operations, Enablement, Finance, Legal, and Partnerships without formal authority over any of them Engage senior executives on the status and outcomes of the most critical programs Manage change so new programs are adopted by the field, and define and report on success metrics such as adoption, time-to-value, and productivity impact Use AI tools every day to analyze, model, and build faster Create the templates, cadence, and reporting that help every future program launch well Minimum qualifications Have led complex cross-functional programs from problem definition through delivery, in strategy consulting, strategy and operations, GTM or sales programs, or program management A track record of turning ambiguous problems into clear, defensible recommendations Have driven initiatives to completion across teams you do not manage, including when senior stakeholders disagreed Analytical skills: building a business case and quantitative model, defining targets, and pulling and analyzing your own data from CRM and BI tools Clear written and verbal communication, with experience presenting analysis and recommendations to senior and executive audiences A working understanding of how an enterprise sales organization operates Have built programs or processes where none existed, and owned the outcome through to results Are motivated by Anthropic's mission to develop AI that is safe and beneficial Preferred qualifications A background in strategy consulting followed by an in-house role where you built and ran programs and strategic projects Experience running sales or GTM programs with measured results, such as pipeline, activation, adoption, or launch programs Experience working within a sales operating cadence, such as forecast calls and pipeline reviews, Sales planning, product launches Hands-on experience using AI tools daily to work faster and more rigorously, including building workflows with Claude or similar tools Experience at a company selling technical or AI products Experience as an early hire in a new team or function The annual compensation range for this role is listed below. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. Annual Salary: $270,000 — $310,000 USD Logistics Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience Required field of study: A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience Minimum years of experience: Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. Location: Los Angeles, CA or Remote Workplace: onsite Role Description Spin.AI is looking for a highly analytical, hands-on Growth Marketing Lead to own the performance engine behind our inbound marketing strategy across Spin.AI’s portfolio: including Backup (Mission critical SaaS apps), Security (DLP and Browser), and Atlassian backup/ecosystem. This person will connect organic, paid, social, web, retargeting, nurture, conversion, and performance measurement into a cohesive inbound growth engine. You'll partner closely with our Director of Marketing to take strong stories, campaigns, content, and creative and ensure they reach the right audiences, convert effectively, and contribute to a measurable pipeline. You'll serve as the internal owner of growth performance, connecting marketing programs, external agencies and freelancers, our fractional Marketing Operations support, data, and funnel performance. You'll have significant ownership and autonomy in this role. We're hiring you for your expertise, and we trust you to use it. We want you to challenge assumptions, bring forward ideas, tell us when you think there's a better way, and make decisions within your area of ownership. You won't have someone standing over you telling you how to do your job; you'll have the space and support to figure out what will drive results and execute against it. What You'll Own: Inbound Growth & Demand Own performance across the inbound marketing funnel, from acquisition through qualified opportunity. Understand how prospects discover, engage with, convert through, and progress across marketing channels. Identify gaps, friction, and growth opportunities throughout the buyer journey. Partner with the Director of Marketing to connect organic visibility to measurable business outcomes. Develop a holistic view of inbound performance across all three brands. Paid Acquisition & Performance Marketing Own paid acquisition strategy across Google, LinkedIn, retargeting, paid social, and additional channels. Manage and optimize paid marketing budgets. Determine where investment should increase, decrease, or be tested based on performance. Develop audience, offer, channel, and campaign testing strategies. Evaluate performance based on qualified opportunities and pipeline—not simply impressions, clicks, or lead volume. Manage paid media agencies, freelancers, and specialized partners. Campaign Activation & Distribution Partner closely with the Director of Marketing to turn integrated campaign strategies into measurable growth programs. Develop distribution and amplification plans around major campaigns and content. Determine appropriate audiences, channels, offers, conversion points, and follow-up strategies. Ensure campaigns have clear paths from awareness and engagement to conversion. Find opportunities to extend the reach, performance, and business value of existing content and creativity. Conversion Rate Optimization Own CRO across landing pages, forms, CTAs, campaign experiences, and key website conversion paths. Partner with the Director of Marketing and creative resources on messaging and creative variations. Build and maintain an ongoing testing roadmap and turn successful experiments into repeatable best practices. Retargeting, Lifecycle & Lead Nurture Develop strategies for continuing to engage prospects after their initial interaction. Build retargeting audiences and programs across relevant channels. Develop lifecycle segmentation and nurture strategies. Partner with fractional Marketing Operations support on automation and technical implementation. Improve progression from initial engagement to qualified opportunity. AI-Native Marketing & Execution Be AI-native in how you work, using AI as an everyday part of research, analysis, execution, experimentation, and decision-making – not simply as a writing assistant. Use AI to analyze marketing and performance data, uncover trends and anomalies, synthesize insights, identify growth opportunities, and accelerate reporting. Use AI to accelerate campaign development and experimentation, including audience research, messaging variations, landing-page testing, creative ideation, and performance analysis. Build AI into repeatable workflows to automate manual work, connect information across tools, and increase the speed and quality of marketing execution. Be comfortable working with leading AI platforms and AI-enabled productivity tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Cowork, and similar tools, while continuously evaluating new technologies as the ecosystem evolves. Know how to work effectively with AI-generated analysis: asking the right questions, providing the right context and data, validating outputs, and applying human judgment before acting on recommendations. Proactively identify opportunities where AI can make our marketing organization faster, smarter, more analytical, and more scalable. Growth Experimentation Maintain a prioritized growth experimentation roadmap. Move quickly from hypothesis to execution Scale what works and stop what doesn't. Proactively bring new ideas, channels, technologies, and opportunities to the team rather than waiting for them to be assigned. Performance Analytics & Attribution Connect marketing activities to measurable business outcomes. Understand performance across visitor → lead → qualified lead → opportunity → pipeline. Establish KPIs for campaigns and acquisition programs. Monitor acquisition costs, funnel conversion, opportunity creation, pipeline contribution, and campaign ROI. Turn performance data into recommendations and actions, not simply dashboards. Help leadership understand what's working, what's not, why, and what Marketing should do next. Partnership With the Director of Marketing This is designed to be a close counterpart relationship between two distinct areas of marketing expertise. The Director of Marketing owns the market-facing strategy : overall marketing strategy, integrated campaigns, narrative, brand, content, messaging, creative direction, organic strategy, customer storytelling, thought leadership, and market POV. The Growth Marketing Lead owns the performance engine : acquisition, distribution, activation, conversion, retargeting, nurture, experimentation, optimization, and measurement. You'll be involved early in campaign planning, not handed finished assets and asked to promote them. Your audience, channel, conversion, and performance insights should influence how campaigns are built from the beginning. At the same time, the role maintains clear functional ownership. The Growth Marketing Lead does not replace ownership of overall marketing strategy, brand strategy, editorial strategy, company narrative, creative direction, or integrated marketing strategy. Both roles remain deeply connected to GTM, pipeline, revenue, and business outcomes. Together, they create the feedback loop between what the market needs to hear and what performance data tells us is resonating. Fractional Marketing Operations Partnership The Growth Marketing Lead will work closely with a fractional/retained Marketing Operations resource who can support the technical infrastructure required to run and measure the growth engine. This may include CRM and marketing automation infrastructure, campaign tracking and attribution, lead scoring and routing, lifecycle automation, integrations, database health, dashboards, and reporting infrastructure. You don't need to personally administer every system. You do need enough technical fluency to know what needs to be built, articulate the business requirements, recognize when something isn't working correctly, and use the resulting data to make informed decisions. You will effectively serve as the business owner of marketing performance , with specialized Marketing Operations support helping i What Success Looks Like: Success will be measured through outcomes including: Marketing-sourced pipeline Qualified opportunities generated Inbound conversion rates Cost per qualified lead and opportunity Lead-to-opportunity conversion Paid acquisition efficiency Landing-page and website conversion Funnel velocity Growth experiment performance Improved visibility and confidence in marketing performance across the portfolio Experience We're Looking For: 3–5+ years of B2B growth, demand generation, performance marketing, or related experience, ideally within cybersecurity, SaaS, or technology. Demonstrated experience owning multi-channel inbound acquisition programs. Hands-on understanding of Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, retargeting, paid social, and performance marketing. Strong understanding of SEO and organic acquisition, with experience connecting organic traffic to conversion and pipeline. Experience with landing-page optimization, CRO, A/B testing, and structured experimentation. Experience building retargeting, nurture, and lifecycle programs. Strong understanding of B2B marketing funnels and progression from visitor through lead, opportunity, pipeline, and revenue. Experience working with CRM, marketing automation, attribution, analytics, and reporting systems. Demonstrated proficiency using AI in modern marketing workflows, including research, data analysis, reporting, campaign optimization, experimentation, automation, and productivity. You should be comfortable working across leading AI platforms and quickly learning new tools as they emerge. Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into clear recommendations and actions. Experience managing agencies, freelancers, vendors, and specialized external resources. Experience collaborating closely with senior marketing leadership, Content/Creative, Sales, Product, and external Marketing Operations resources. Comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution. Cybersecurity experience is valuable, but strong B2B SaaS experience combined with the ability and desire to learn a technical market quickly can also be successful. How We Work: You have a startup mindset. You're a self-starter who doesn't need someone telling you what to do throughout the day. You can take a business objective, figure out what needs to happen, ask the right questions, and independently move the work forward. You're resourceful, curious, and a fast learner. We trust your expertise. There is real ownership in this role. We hire great people because we want their ideas, judgment, and experience – not because we want someone to simply execute instructions. If you think there's a better approach, we genuinely want to hear it. If the data is telling you we should change direction, say so. You'll be trusted to make decisions within your area, experiment thoughtfully, and do your job in the way you believe will produce the strongest results. You're collaborative and dynamic. You'll work closely with the Director of Marketing, broader marketing leadership, Sales, Product, external partners, and specialists across the organization. You know how to bring strong opinions and expertise to the table without creating territorial silos. You communicate well, welcome feedback, and value other people's expertise as much as your own. You move fast. We'd rather thoughtfully test a strong idea, learn from it, and iterate than spend months trying to make something theoretically perfect. You know how to prioritize, execute, measure, and move forward. If something doesn't work, understand why, learn from it, and try again. You take ownership. If something you're responsible for isn't working, you investigate it. If tracking looks wrong, you flag it. If an agency isn't delivering, you address it. If you see an opportunity, you bring it forward. "Nobody told me to" isn't how we operate. You're a team player. We care about the work we do and the people we do it with. You take pride in producing great work, celebrate team wins, help when someone needs it, and genuinely enjoy collaborating with smart people toward a shared goal. You're adaptable. Our products evolve. Technology advances. Messaging changes. Priorities change. AI is changing how people discover and consume information, and cybersecurity certainly doesn't stand still. You're comfortable operating in a fast-moving technical market and can learn quickly enough to keep pace. You're AI-native. AI is changing both the cybersecurity market we operate in and the way great marketing teams work. We expect you to use it. Whether you're analyzing campaign data, researching an audience, building a workflow, pressure-testing an idea, finding patterns, or eliminating repetitive work, your instinct should be to ask how AI can help you do the job better and faster. We're not looking for someone who occasionally opens an AI tool, we want someone who actively experiments with new capabilities and incorporates the best ones into how they work. You're comfortable with cybersecurity. You don't need to know every acronym on day one, but you should enjoy learning complex technology and understanding the problems our customers are trying to solve. You can become conversant enough in cybersecurity to make intelligent decisions about audiences, campaigns, messaging, and performance. You care about outcomes more than activity. Launching a campaign isn't the finish line. A beautiful dashboard isn't the outcome. More leads aren't necessarily better leads. You want to understand what actually moved the business and what we should do differently because of it. And we genuinely enjoy working together! Across Spin.AI, Revyz, and DoControl, we want people to be proud of what they build, without believing great work requires sacrificing everything outside of it. We respect work-life balance, trust people to manage their responsibilities, and value positive, healthy working relationships. We work hard, move quickly, and care deeply about results – but we also want people to enjoy the work they're doing and the life they're living while they do it. A positive attitude, mutual respect, and being someone others genuinely enjoy working with matter here.
