Location: Rwanda About GiveDirectly What if the most effective way to fight poverty was also the simplest: give people money and trust them to decide what they need? Since 2011, GiveDirectly has proven that idea at scale. We’ve delivered more than $1B in cash directly to 2+ million people living in poverty and crisis across 15 countries, and rigorous research shows the results: healthier kids, stronger businesses, sturdier homes, and more resilient families and local economies. Cash is now widely recognized as one of the most scalable, cost-effective, and dignified forms of aid. Our ambition goes beyond our own programs. We want cash to become the benchmark for aid, much as the index fund became the benchmark for investing, so that every aid dollar is held to one question: is this doing more good than giving the money directly to people living in poverty? We’re growing fast, and this is a rare and important moment to join. We expect to hit $1B in revenue in 2026 with significant growth forecast for 2027. At the same time we are building a new technology stack and operating model designed for a roughly 10x change in scale, and we are actively pursuing partnerships with major funders to move even more money in bigger ways, to people who need it. We are known for our extensive integration of technology into field processes; our quantitative approach to performance measurement; and our commitment to rigorous, independent, experimental evaluation of our impact, with multiple Randomized Control Trials completed and others in progress. How we work Our team spans 20+ countries and 69 languages. Our culture is candid, analytical, and non-hierarchical. We expect high ownership and give people real responsibility early. Our values are central to how we hire, work, and grow, and they are deliberately opinionated: Recipients first. Recipients’ preferences come before those of donors or ourselves. Team next. We optimize for organizational success, not individual success. Be proactively candid. We say what we believe and share information openly. Create positive energy. We aim to be a source of energy for colleagues, not a drain. Think rigorously; act quickly. We reason from first principles, then act rather than debate. Know yourself and grow. We own our imperfections and seek feedback to grow. Accept reality. Propose solutions. We focus on what can change and bring solutions, not just problems. Be productively ambitious. We take risks for step-change impact, not incremental progress. If they describe how you like to work and they energize you, this could be a great fit. Want to learn more? Read and listen: We are one of Time100’s Most Influential Companies of 2026, and our work has been covered by The Economist , NPR , TED , and The Washington Post . We're now preparing to deliver billions of dollars a year to people in extreme poverty, if funding allows. Read our CEO's essay on what that will take. Location: San Francisco Workplace: Hybrid ABOUT BASETEN Baseten powers mission-critical inference for the world's most dynamic AI companies, like Cursor, Notion, OpenEvidence, Abridge, Clay, Gamma, and Writer. By uniting applied AI research, flexible infrastructure, and seamless developer tooling, we enable companies operating at the frontier of AI to bring cutting-edge models into production. We're growing quickly and recently raised our $1.5B Series F https://www.baseten.co/blog/announcing-our-series-f/, led by Altimeter Capital, Conviction Partners, and Spark Capital. Join us and help build the platform engineers turn to ship AI products. THE ROLE We're looking for a hands-on Operations Manager to own the operational and analytical supply side of our GPU fleet. Key focus areas: GPU fleet lifecycle, health, observability, utilization monitoring, and remediation across our neocloud and bare metal environments. We contract for a fixed amount of compute capacity. GPUs drift from healthy to unhealthy over time, and this role minimizes that downtime to keep the maximum number of GPUs healthy at any given moment. This is an operator role, not people management. You'll drive execution through clear processes, metrics, reporting, vendor coordination, and cross-functional alignment. RESPONSIBILITIES - Drive suppliers to keep the maximum amount of the GPU fleet online and healthy. - Maintain a live reconciliation of contracted vs. provisioned vs. healthy vs. utilized capacity, broken out by supplier and by cluster maximizing the number of healthy GPUs. - Supplier-attributed fleet health accountability: own replacement SLAs, mean time to repair (MTTR), and RMA cycle times for every in-scope supplier. - SLA monitoring, credit claims, and remedy enforcement: track SLA performance against contract terms, file and pursue credit claims, and drive remediation plans when suppliers fall short. - Drive internal communications where suppliers need to perform maintenance to ensure all Baseten stakeholders are aware of activities that impact availability. Scope and Approach - Flexibility: this list covers the core of the role, not the limit of it. You'll be asked to take on adjacent work as the function evolves and as new gaps surface. - Ownership mindset: we need someone who treats "whatever it takes" as a genuine operating principle, not a line in a job posting. If something falls outside a defined lane but inside the overall goal of closing the capacity gap, it's yours to pick up. REQUIREMENTS - 5 to 10+ years within infrastructure working within the compute lifecycle to maximize functional compute, ideally in a hyperscale, cloud, or large-scale compute environment. - Direct experience managing GPU, server, or data center hardware supplier relationships. You understand fleet health, RMA processes, and how contracted capacity differs from delivered capacity. - Highly analytical. You should be comfortable pulling your own data, building your own reports, and generating insights without waiting on someone else to hand you a dashboard. - Comfortable with ambiguity. Part of the job is figuring out what should exist and building it. - Strong cross-functional collaboration skills. You'll work closely with finance, infrastructure/engineering, legal, and security on a regular basis. NICE TO HAVE - Experience at a hyperscaler, neo cloud provider, or AI infrastructure company - Familiarity with GPU hardware lifecycles (NVIDIA H100/H200/GB200 class systems), power/thermal constraints, and supply chain dynamics for compute. - Experience running formal supplier corrective actions. BENEFITS - Competitive compensation, including meaningful equity - (U.S. only) 100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee and dependents - Flexible PTO policy including company wide Winter Break (our offices are closed from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day!) - Paid parental leave - Fertility and family-building stipend through Carrot - (U.S. only) Company-facilitated 401(k) - Exposure to a variety of ML startups, offering unparalleled learning and networking opportunities. THE ROLE We're looking for a Capacity Manager for our on-premises data center builds and neo cloud (GPU cloud) delivery programs. This is a high-visibility, execution-critical role sitting at the intersection of infrastructure engineering, capacity planning, vendor/partner management, and customer delivery. You will own the end-to-end delivery lifecycle for large-scale compute infrastructure — from initial site/capacity commitments through power, networking, and hardware bring-up, to production-ready GPU/compute capacity landing in the hands of internal teams or customers. You'll be the person who turns ambitious infrastructure roadmaps into predictable, on-time, delivery. RESPONSIBILITIES - Own delivery of on-prem infrastructure builds — colocation expansions, power/cooling readiness, rack-and-stack, network fabric bring-up, and hardware acceptance testing — coordinating across colo providers and partners, network engineering, hardware ops, and vendor teams. - Drive neo cloud delivery programs — manage capacity delivery from GPU cloud and neo cloud partners (e.g., colocation/bare-metal/GPU cloud providers), including contract milestones, capacity ramps, SLAs, and go-live readiness. - Build and maintain master delivery schedules across concurrent, multi-site, multi-vendor programs, integrating power/shell timelines, hardware lead times, logistics, and software/platform readiness into a single critical path. - Manage cross-functional stakeholders — engineering, data center operations, procurement, finance, legal, and executive leadership — translating technical dependencies into clear program status, risks, and decisions. - Own vendor and partner relationships for infrastructure delivery, including neo cloud providers, colocation partners, hardware OEMs, and logistics/installation contractors; hold partners accountable to contractual delivery commitments. - Run risk and dependency management — identify critical path risks (power availability, hardware lead times, permitting, supply chain), drive mitigation, and escalate proactively rather than reactively. - Establish delivery governance — standardized program frameworks, milestone definitions, RAID logs, capacity tracking, and reporting cadences (weekly ops reviews, executive/board-level updates). - Drive capacity planning alignment — partner with demand/capacity planning teams to ensure delivery timelines match business commitments (customer contracts, internal growth targets). - Lead post-mortems and continuous improvement — after major builds or delivery milestones, drive retrospectives that improve cost, speed, and predictability of future builds. REQUIREMENTS - 8+ years in technical program management, delivery management, or infrastructure program leadership, with at least 3+ years managing large-scale physical infrastructure or data center delivery programs. - Demonstrated experience delivering on-prem data center builds (power, cooling, network, rack-and-stack) from planning through go-live. - Direct experience with GPU cloud / neo cloud capacity delivery: understanding of GPU cluster architectures (e.g., InfiniBand/RoCE fabrics, rack power density, liquid cooling considerations) and the commercial/operational mechanics of capacity contracts with neo cloud or colocation providers. - Track record managing complex, multi-vendor, multi-workstream programs with hard external deadlines and significant financial/business exposure. - Strong executive communication skills. Able to distill complex technical/operational risk into clear, decision-ready updates for senior leadership. - Proven vendor/partner management experience, including negotiating delivery commitments and holding partners accountable. - Comfortable operating with ambiguity in a fast-moving, high-growth environment. Bias toward action and structured problem-solving. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Experience at a hyperscaler, neo cloud provider, colocation company, or AI infrastructure company - Familiarity with GPU hardware lifecycles (NVIDIA H100/H200/GB200 class systems), power/thermal constraints, and supply chain dynamics for compute. - PMP, PgMP, or equivalent program management certification. - Experience building delivery/program management functions from the ground up BENEFITS - Competitive compensation, including meaningful equity - (U.S. only) 100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee and dependents - Flexible PTO policy including company wide Winter Break (our offices are closed from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day!) - Paid parental leave - Fertility and family-building stipend through Carrot - (U.S. only) Company-facilitated 401(k) - Exposure to a variety of ML startups, offering unparalleled learning and networking opportunities. In 2014 we started with delivery of restaurant food. Now we’re building the delivery of (almost) everything and you’ll find us in over 500 cities in 30 countries around the world. In 2022 we joined forces with DoorDash and together we keep on dreaming big and expanding across the globe. Working at Wolt isn’t always easy, but it’s definitely exciting. Here you’ll learn more, build more, and ship more than in most other companies. You’ll be challenged a lot, but also have a lot of fun on the way. So, if you’re a self-starter with drive and entrepreneurial spirit, this could be the ride of your life. The Associate Operations Manager for Supply Activation & Acquisition plays a pivotal role at Wolt. As Central scales at an unprecedented pace, your mission is to keep courier supply ahead of demand - both in the moment and over the medium term. You will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of 3, ensuring that intraday activation (weather-driven boosts, DxGy and ARC / radius adjustments) and courier acquisition (job boards, application attainment, reactivations and sign-ups) are tightly coordinated across all Central markets. In this role, you will own two of Central’s most closely tracked supply KPIs - undersupplied hours and GOV loss - reported weekly to senior leadership, alongside a multi-million euro activation and acquisition budget. Your leadership extends beyond day-to-day activation calls; you will be the primary bridge to higher management on supply health, escalating risks early and proposing structural fixes such as mobilizer strategies and special events planning ahead of demand spikes (holidays, weather events, local events). Your ability to translate data into fast, defensible calls will be key to keeping Central’s ADT, UH% and GOV loss on plan. What you’ll be doing Own Central’s intraday activation strategy - activation surges, special events management and day-to-day operations (radius / busyness adjustments, communication flows, etc.) - to keep courier supply matched to demand hour by hour. Lead and mentor a team of 3 and own a multi-million euro activation and acquisition budget across Central markets. Own Central’s courier acquisition function: job boards, application attainment, reactivation campaigns and sign-ups. Own and report on Central’s UH% and GOV loss KPIs weekly, surfacing risks and driving corrective action with senior leadership. Plan and execute mobilizer strategies and special events coverage (holidays, weather events, local events) ahead of demand spikes. Partner with Support, Product and Global Delivery Ops to build tools and processes that scale activation and acquisition across markets. Serve as the primary point of contact for top management on Central’s supply health. Our humble expectations Proven track record managing complex, data-driven operations across multiple markets, ideally in courier / gig supply, logistics or marketplace operations. Comfortable owning hard KPIs (UH%, GOV loss) and being accountable for the numbers, not just reporting them. Experience leading and developing a small team (3 direct reports). Strong budget ownership experience - able to allocate and defend a multi-million euro spend across activation and acquisition levers. Excellent ability to distill complex operational trade-offs into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership. Comfortable working under time pressure during weather events, special events and demand spikes. Fluent English skills in both spoken and writing. Additional information What to expect from our hiring process: Talent Acquisition screen — an introductory conversation with our recruiter to learn more about your background and answer any initial questions about the role. Hiring Manager interview — a deeper conversation with the team manager about your experience, the team, and what this role involves day to day. Assignment — a practical task related to the role, giving you a chance to show how you approach real problems in this space. Final interview — a conversation with a senior stakeholder to round out the process. Location: Goma, DRC About GiveDirectly What if the most effective way to fight poverty was also the simplest: give people money and trust them to decide what they need?
