About the Team:
Netlify’s Data team helps the company understand and improve the full product-led growth journey, from activation and engagement through conversion, retention, and monetization. We partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Growth to uncover opportunities, evaluate investments, and understand what drives customer and business outcomes.
We’re hiring a Senior Staff Data Scientist to deepen how data shapes our product and growth strategy. You’ll develop an end-to-end understanding of the PLG journey, proactively identify opportunities, and turn complex data into hypotheses, experiments, and recommendations that influence where we invest and what we build. This is a highly autonomous role for someone who can move from identifying an important question to shaping the approach, defining success, and driving toward an answer.
What You'll Do:
Own the analytical understanding of Netlify’s PLG performance across activation, engagement, conversion, monetization, and retention, identifying opportunities before they become requests
Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to turn behavioral insights into product bets, defining what to test, how to measure it, and what the results mean
Lead experimentation from hypothesis through decision, including study design, methodology, success metrics, guardrails, analysis, and recommendations
Apply statistical rigor where it matters while recognizing when there is enough signal to make a decision and move forward, and help teams develop that same judgment
Build scalable analytical systems like semantic models, trusted metrics, proactive monitoring, and AI-powered agents that surface opportunities without waiting to be asked
Use AI to investigate faster, automate recurring analytical work, and test more hypotheses without sacrificing the judgment that makes the output useful
Identify gaps in measurement, event instrumentation, and metric definitions, and partner with Data and Product Engineering to close them
Serve as a trusted analytical partner to PLG leadership, using evidence and product judgment to influence investment decisions and roadmap priorities
Influence product strategy through evidence, product instincts, and a clear point of view, without relying on formal authority to do it
What You'll Bring:
8+ years of experience in product analytics, growth analytics, or data science, with a track record of high ownership and measurable impact on PLG or consumer product outcomes
Deep understanding of product and growth dynamics across activation, engagement, conversion, monetization, and retention
Demonstrated ability to turn behavioral data into product hypotheses and carry them from insight through experimentation and measured outcomes
Deep experimentation expertise: study design, statistical reasoning, causal inference, and the judgment to know when an experiment has told you what you need to know
Experience building analytical systems such as metrics layers, monitoring frameworks, or semantic models that teams can rely on over time
An AI-native approach to analysis: you use AI tools actively to accelerate investigation, automate repetitive work, and surface patterns faster
A track record of influencing senior stakeholders and product direction through analytical reasoning, clear recommendations, and sound judgment
Comfort operating with significant autonomy in ambiguous problem spaces, including determining which questions are most important to answer
Strong written and verbal communication skills in distributed environments, with the ability to make complex findings clear and recommendations actionable
This Role is a Great Fit If:
You're energized by finding the opportunity before anyone thought to ask - proactive discovery is how you naturally work, not a mode you shift into
You think like a product person who happens to be exceptionally rigorous with data, not a data person who occasionally weighs in on product
You thrive when the problem isn't handed to you - you'd rather define the question worth asking than answer the one that landed in your queue
You get excited about building systems that keep working after you've moved on to the next problem
You're comfortable making a call with imperfect information and can articulate clearly why you made it
You enjoy being a thought partner to senior leaders - shaping how they think about investment and opportunity, not just supporting decisions already made
You work well in a remote-first, async environment where written clarity and self-direction matter more than proximity
You're drawn to roles where the measure of success is outcomes, decisions made, bets tested, metrics moved, not volume of output produced

Not sure you meet 100% of our qualifications?

By mitigating Shadow IT and assessing third-party risk (TPRM):

Standout Qualities:
You hold an industry-recognized Cloud Security certification like CCSP or CCSK (Cloud Security Alliance).
You hold a specialized identity certification like Microsoft SC-300 or an Okta Certified Professional/Administrator credential.
You have direct experience deploying and running enterprise-grade SSPM or DSPM solutions (e.g., Wiz, AppOmni, Reco, or Defender for Cloud Apps).
Leadership Excellence: You have a proven track record of designing technical roadmaps, translating business objectives into actionable engineering sprints, and successfully leading a small-to-midsize IT or Security team through complex migrations or infrastructure overhauls.
Team Dynamics:
Reporting: You will report directly to IT Ops Lead, joining a team that values proactive protection and automated operations.
The Neighborhood: You will collaborate daily with IT Operations, HR Ops (for automated onboarding/offboarding workflows), Security, Procurement (for vendor assessments), and departmental leads across the company.
Our Work Style: We operate in a highly flexible, remote-friendly, and data-driven environment. We live in Wrike for project management, utilize Okta / Entra ID, and scripting (Python, PowerShell) for API-driven automation.

Wrike is the most powerful work management platform. Built for teams and organizations looking to collaborate, create, and exceed every day, Wrike brings everyone and all work into a single place to remove complexity, increase productivity, and free people up to focus on their most purposeful work.
Wrike is our people, not a place. As a distributed team, we own our growth, stay globally connected, and rely on the product we build to deliver impactful work alongside brilliant minds. You'll have real ownership over meaningful work, a global team that has your back, and the flexibility to do your best work your way. If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
Our vision:
A world where everyone is free to focus on their most purposeful work, together.
About the Role:
With flexible, distributed-first ways of working, you'll have the support to do your best work, wherever you are. As the
Lead Identity & Access Management Specialist
you will be the primary architect and team leader driving our cloud application security posture. Your mission is to balance business agility with absolute data protection across our sprawling SaaS ecosystem (including M365, Slack, Salesforce, etc).
In this role, you will bridge the gap between user enablement and risk management by owning Identity and Access Management (IAM), deploying SaaS Security Posture Management (SSPM) tools to prevent configuration drift, and governing the entire lifecycle of our business applications. Crucially, you will lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of IT engineers with a strong security mindset, fostering a collaborative culture rooted in automation and proactive risk reduction.
Your Impact:
By building and automating robust Identity pipelines:
You will design, configure, and maintain our Identity Providers (IdP) using SAML 2.0, OIDC, and OAuth 2.0. You will leverage SCIM to automate provisioning and ensure immediate, airtight offboarding to prevent orphan accounts.
By hardening our SaaS posture against configuration drift:
You will deploy and manage SaaS Security Posture Management (SSPM) tools. You will establish and enforce security baselines (such as CIS benchmarks) across our key tools, catching unauthorized administrative changes in real time.
By governing the security of third-party integrations:
You will audit, restrict, and manage OAuth permissions granted to third-party add-ons and AI extensions, ensuring our enterprise data remains inside approved boundaries.
By mitigating Shadow IT and assessing third-party risk (TPRM):
You will analyze CASB, proxy, and endpoint logs to discover unauthorized SaaS usage. You will partner with Procurement to assess the security profiles of new software vendors by auditing SOC 2 reports, ISO certifications, and CAIQ sheets.
By championing technical leadership and team growth
: You will build, mentor, and guide a dedicated team of IT professionals. By establishing engineering best practices, leading agile workflows, and promoting continuous learning, you will multiply your impact across the entire organization and cultivate the next generation of cloud security talent.
Your Qualifications:
Experience: 5+ years of dedicated experience in Cloud Security, IAM Administration, or IT Security Operations, including 1-2 years of experience leading, mentoring, or acting as a technical coordinator for other engineers.
Technical Skills:
Deep expertise in identity protocols: SAML 2.0, OIDC, OAuth 2.0, and SCIM.
Hands-on administration experience with modern IdPs (Okta or Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD).
Scripting capabilities in Python, PowerShell, or Bash to automate security workflows and interact with SaaS APIs.
Soft Skills: Exceptional collaboration and communication skills to explain complex security practices to non-technical stakeholders, combined with a pragmatic, problem-solving mindset and proven leadership capabilities to unblock and motivate team members.
Our Philosophy: We follow a Zero Trust security approach. We believe in securing through smart automation and user education rather than simply "blocking" productivity tools.

ABOUT US
Ruby Labs is a leading tech company that creates and operates innovative consumer products. We offer a diverse range of opportunities across the health, education, and entertainment industries. Our innovative teams are driving the future of consumer-led products, and we're always looking for passionate individuals to join us. Learn more about our story at: https://rubylabs.com/about-us/
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to own and scale the AI layer of one of our core D2C subscription products. You will be fully responsible for production LLM features and the browser automation built around them end to end — prompt systems, structured outputs, evaluation, observability, and model selection — from first experiment to live release, with quality, reliability, and cost as your accountability.
This is a high-impact role suited for someone who decides with data, not intuition. Unmeasured prompt changes, untraced failures, and model swaps without benchmarks are not acceptable. You work in a modern TypeScript stack — Next.js, Cloudflare Workers and Containers with Hono, Hatchet task queues, Drizzle on Supabase Postgres, Vercel Blob. Browser automation on Browserbase and Playwright is roughly half of the job.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
PROMPT SYSTEMS & STRUCTURED OUTPUTS
- Design dynamic prompt templates with conditional logic and context injection that maximise generation quality
- Enforce predictable outputs with JSON mode, function calling, Zod/JSON schemas, validators, and repair loops
- Own complex LLM workflows (LangChain, LlamaIndex, or custom) that integrate cleanly into application logic
BROWSER AUTOMATION
- Build and maintain browser automation on Browserbase Functions and Playwright that traverses web flows reliably
- Classify screens with a model inside each traversal, and decide what the model handles versus deterministic code
- Ship automations as frozen, published workers — versioned, reproducible, and safe to roll back
- Orchestrate runs through Hatchet with retries, timeouts, and failure traces that explain every broken run
EVALUATION & EXPERIMENTATION
- Build evaluation pipelines — test datasets, LLM-as-a-judge, RAGAS-style metrics — and score responses and screen classifications in Langfuse
- Trace complex LLM chains to find bottlenecks in cost, latency, and context-window usage
- Run A/B experiments across models and prompts through an AI gateway (OpenRouter, Cloudflare AI Gateway); release only on quantitative benchmarks
- Re-evaluate models as new architectures emerge; fine-tune when domain requirements demand it
PRODUCTION OWNERSHIP
- Take AI features from experiment to live production on Cloudflare Workers and Containers, and stay accountable after release
- Manage rate limits, fallbacks, and model cost so features stay reliable at scale
- Resolve production incidents in owned AI and automation systems with documented root-cause analysis
QUALIFICATIONS
MUST-HAVE EXPERIENCE
- 【5+】 years of software engineering with Node.js, TypeScript, Next.js, and Postgres, including edge or serverless runtimes such as Cloudflare Workers
- Production browser automation with Playwright (Browserbase or similar): resilient selectors, retries, failure handling at scale
- Production experience with dynamic prompting — content that depends on input variables and injected context
- Structured outputs in production: JSON mode, function calling, Zod/JSON schemas
- Experience with unified LLM APIs or AI gateways (OpenRouter, Cloudflare AI Gateway): rate limits, fallbacks, cost-effective model selection
- LLM observability with Langfuse or similar: tracing, test datasets, scoring integration
- Evaluation methodology: RAGAS or custom LLM-as-a-judge systems
LEADERSHIP ATTRIBUTES
- Decides on benchmarks and trace data, not intuition
- Analytical — converts generation logs into metrics a business can act on
- Iterative — builds feedback loops and improves continuously
- Owns the outcome from experiment to production, and after
- Verifies before trusting — treats LLM output as unproven until validated
LOCATION
Ruby Labs operates within the CET (Central European Time) zone. Applicants from any country are welcome to apply for the position as long as they are located within approximately ± 4 hours of CET. This ensures optimal collaboration and communication during working hours.

- Optimize cloud-based data storage and movement across providers (AWS, GCS, or Azure) for cost, throughput, and operational efficiency
- Define and implement best practices for dataset storage layout, versioning, caching, retention, and access patterns
- Design and implement curation pipelines that determine which video and image content is selected, filtered, and retained for model training, including image-text pair datasets used in joint training regimes
- Build and improve VLM-based captioning and metadata generation workflows at scale across both video and image data
- Develop and apply quality and aesthetic scoring models, CLIP-based semantic filtering, and other signal-extraction approaches for data selection
- Build tooling to support deduplication workflows at scale, including near-dedup and exact deduplication pipelines over large video corpora
- Analyze dataset composition, identify quality issues, and iterate on curation logic to improve training outcomes
- Define and evolve standards for what constitutes high-quality, training-ready video data across different training regimes
What You’ll Bring:
- Strong hands-on experience building or scaling large-scale data systems and pipelines for machine learning, including dataset curation, filtering, and quality improvement
- Experience with distributed data processing frameworks such as PySpark or Ray, and orchestration tools such as Airflow or equivalent
- Familiarity with containerization and container orchestration, including Docker and Kubernetes
