About the role
Rove Next is a new premium line from Rove Concepts, a Vancouver-based modern furniture brand selling direct to consumer across Canada and the US. Rove Next launches with improved versions of best-selling pieces and needs its own marketing built from the ground up. The role involves owning how Rove Next reaches and retains customers, focusing on email and lifecycle marketing. The goal is to scale marketing through AI and systems rather than headcount, building a clean function rather than inheriting one. This is not a coordination role but requires problem-solving and proactive management.
Scope
Initially focused on Rove Next, with potential to expand across the Rove Concepts group as the brand grows.
What you'll own
— Email and lifecycle as the primary owned channel, including campaign calendar, flows, segmentation, deliverability, and list health, using Klaviyo.
— Quality control on all outgoing materials: copy, creative, link destinations, offers, regional versions, ensuring errors are caught before shipping.
— Building AI into daily work, shipping AI solutions rather than just proposing them.
— Collaborating with lifecycle and email team, designers, and external ads partner to maintain the campaign calendar.
— Translating marketing results into clear business language, explaining spend, revenue, and recommendations.
Must-haves
— Five or more years in ecommerce or DTC marketing with real ownership of email and lifecycle marketing, experience with Klaviyo or comparable ESP.
— Demonstrated ability to build AI workflows independently and solve problems proactively.
— Fluent, native-level English, both written and spoken, capable of writing premium-sounding copy.
— Strong attention to detail, able to assess assets for alignment with promises, tone, and offer accuracy.
— Comfortable receiving and giving feedback about campaign effectiveness.
Nice to have
— Experience in furniture, home, or other considered-purchase categories with long buying cycles.
— Familiarity with Shopify, GA4, and Meta Ads.
— Experience enforcing brand guidelines within a team.
What success looks like
— Growth of flow revenue as a share of total email revenue.
— Reduction of errors reaching leadership.
— AI integrated and producing measurable results within 90 days.
Compensation
$3,500 to $4,500 USD per month depending on experience, independent contractor.
How to apply
Send CV to talent@rovenext.com with two examples: one AI workflow or automation built and its impact, and one instance of catching an error before shipping. Include a short voice note introducing yourself and what you'd want to know before writing your first email. Shortlisted candidates will complete a short paid project.

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

You will own a portion of the Editions P&L. That means holding the commercial scorecard for new kitchens, making financial decisions with a clear view of both partner and Deliveroo profitability, and steering your team's portfolio towards sustainable growth rather than volume alone.
You will be accountable for the development plan for your team, their success and learning curve at Deliveroo; setting the right KPIs and OKRs to monitor the business. Your role will be commercially focused, however Editions is as much a project management discipline as a commercial one: you will work hand in hand with Food Safety, Compliance, Site Construction, Kitchen Layout, Site Operations, Marketing and the International Editions team to bring kitchens live and keep them performing.

Coordinate with the Media team to identify and negotiate revenue opportunities to generate additional value from Editions sites
Occupancy & Commercial Performance
Own the occupancy trajectory of the French network, partnering closely with Local teams to positively drive occupancy and secure signed contracts within agreed timelines
Own and enforce the Editions commercial scorecard for new kitchens, profitability checks against P&L guidelines, launch package, site specificities, ensuring the process is applied consistently across the team
Steer the lead generation and pipeline process, mapping high-potential restaurants and cuisine gaps by site, and mobilising other commercial stakeholders to qualify interest
Lead commercial negotiations with business owners and C-suite operators, supporting proposals with a robust P&L rationale
P&L Ownership & Governance
Own a portion of the Editions P&L, accountable for revenue, profitability and the financial health of your perimeter
Set, own and deliver performance targets across occupancy, partner health, site profitability and Deliveroo output metrics
Run a clear operating rhythm on reporting, velocity, sign-to-live, occupancy and sales reviews, and use it to make decisions, not just to describe results
Kitchen Launches & Cross-functional Execution
Work with Site Managers, Food Safety, Compliance, Site Construction and Kitchen Layout teams to secure the successful build and launch of new kitchens
Coordinate with Global team on kitchen implementation, and with Marketing and Operations on launch packages, so that every opening lands on time and performs from week one
Manage and oversee project execution end to end, including B2B communication and cross-business-unit workshops

WHO WE ARE
Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkpYpWfEK5s. We're building one place where your knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools live side by side, so work is faster, clearer, and less fragmented. Millions of individuals, small teams, and large companies run their work on Notion.
Notinos (our employees) are customer zero in bringing this future of work to life. We care about craft, building things that last, and the belief that great work is still fundamentally human. Our goal isn’t to ship the next feature. Each and every team of Notinos is working to set the standard for how humans work together in the AI era. From building a business’s system of record to making and managing AI agents to automating away the busy work, we care deeply about giving our customers more time for their life’s work.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Notion’s Data Foundations team builds and operates the batch and streaming infrastructure behind our product features, analytics, search, and AI experiences. We’re looking for a hands-on technical leader to shape the next generation of this platform as Notion serves larger customers, expands globally, and supports more data-intensive products. You’ll identify the highest-leverage problems, set direction, build and develop a high-performing team, and lead multi-quarter initiatives across our data lake, streaming, distributed-compute, governance, and reliability systems. You’ll stay close to critical technical decisions while creating clear ownership, growing engineers and technical leaders, and helping the team execute as one—partnering closely with Data Engineering, Data Product, Search, AI, Infrastructure, and Security.
This role can be based in either San Francisco or New York City. We work from our offices on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays (our Anchor Days) because we do our best thinking and building together in person. We’re looking for someone who’s excited to work alongside the team during those days.
WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE:
- Set the direction for Data Foundations. Turn ambiguous company and customer needs into a clear multi-quarter strategy across the data lake, streaming, distributed compute, governance, and platform reliability—and align engineers and partner teams around it.
- Build and develop a high-performing team. Attract strong engineers, set clear expectations, grow technical leaders, and create an environment of ownership, direct feedback, and accountability.
- Lead the team’s hardest initiatives from idea to operation. Ensure complex work has strong technical ownership, de-risk architectures through prototypes, break work into shippable milestones, and coordinate execution across engineers and teams.
- Make Notion’s data platform enterprise-ready. Guide the team toward durable foundations for external key management, data residency, access controls, lifecycle management, and governance without creating separate systems for every requirement.
- Raise reliability, simplicity, and cost efficiency. Identify systemic risks and architectural gaps, establish clear service ownership, and lead migrations that make Kafka, Debezium, S3/Iceberg, Spark, EMR, Athena, and related systems easier to operate at scale.
- Multiply the engineering organization. Establish reusable abstractions and paved paths, delegate meaningful ownership, raise the quality of technical decisions, and scale expertise through coaching, documentation, tooling, design reviews, and direct collaboration.
SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO BRING:
- Deep data-platform expertise. You have designed and operated large-scale batch and streaming systems and can reason across storage, compute, ingestion, orchestration, serving, governance, and production operations.
- Direction-setting leadership. You have led a Data Platform or infrastructure team through multi-quarter work—finding the right problems, defining a strategy, sequencing execution, and driving decisions with long-term consequences.
- Team-building and talent development. You have attracted strong engineers, grown people across career stages, developed technical leaders, and created clarity when expectations or performance needed to change.
- Hands-on engineering judgment. You stay close to critical systems and designs and know when to prototype, simplify, buy, build, or migrate. You can go deep while preserving ownership for the engineers leading the work.
- Platform-product thinking. You understand the needs behind partner requests and turn repeated patterns into safe, ergonomic, self-serve capabilities rather than accumulating bespoke solutions.
- Organizational influence. You create clarity across team boundaries, surface uncomfortable technical or organizational risks early, and help engineers do their best work through strong context, delegation, feedback, and coaching.
- You don’t need deep AI expertise for every role, but we do expect every Notino to be intellectually curious, drawn to tinkering and discovery, and excited to use AI as a real collaborator in their work. People who thrive here don’t treat AI as a novelty. They use it to think better, move faster, and build more creatively.
THE SYSTEMS AND PROBLEMS YOU MAY LEAD
- Evolving Notion’s data lake toward an S3 + Iceberg lakehouse with stronger governance, discoverability, schema evolution, and lifecycle controls
- Scaling Kafka and Debezium-based streaming infrastructure that powers real-time product, analytics, and AI use cases
- Improving Spark and distributed-compute performance, workload isolation, developer experience, and cost efficiency
- Designing EKM, data residency, and compliant processing capabilities across Notion’s data estate
- Creating clear platform interfaces and self-serve primitives for Data Engineering, Search, AI, and product teams
WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS
Notion’s data infrastructure is no longer only an internal analytics layer. It increasingly powers customer-facing features, AI systems, enterprise controls, and high-volume product workflows. The team needs a leader who can see across these systems, build the technical leadership and operating culture required for that responsibility, and find the problems that matter before they become roadmap blockers. Success means Data Foundations has a strong, growing team with clear direction and dependable execution—and teams across Notion can build ambitious data-powered products faster without compromising customer trust.
Notion is committed to providing highly competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits. The compensation offered for this role will be based on multiple factors such as location, the role’s scope and complexity, and the candidate’s experience and expertise, and may vary from the range provided below. For roles based in San Francisco, the estimated base salary range for this role is $281,000 - $334,000 per year.
By clicking “Submit Application”, I understand and agree that Notion and its affiliates and subsidiaries will collect and process my information in accordance with Notion’s Global Recruiting Privacy Policy https://notion.notion.site/Notion-Global-Recruiting-Privacy-Policy-fc3eb4e829354a26a2bb6fd5e289b550. https://dev.notion.so/a3ce416456924276a59de91bca740028?pvs=21

A NOTE ON AI
You don’t need deep AI expertise for every role, but we do expect every Notino to be intellectually curious, drawn to tinkering and discovery, and excited to use AI as a real collaborator in their work. For some roles, AI fluency is a core requirement — when that’s the case, we'll say so explicitly in the qualifications. People who thrive here don’t treat AI as a novelty. They use it to think better, and make their work easier for others to build on.

- Experience leading or supporting mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence, negotiations, transaction documentation, and post-closing integration.
- Strong knowledge of corporate governance, securities laws, entity management and experience preparing for or managing public company compliance.
- Experience advising on international expansion, including subsidiary formation and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Experience supporting financing transactions and related securities law compliance.
- Ability to identify legal and business risks, develop practical mitigation strategies, and communicate recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders.
- Experience managing external counsel and coordinating cross-functional teams on complex legal matters.
- Excellent judgment, written and verbal communication skills, and attention to detail.
- A practical, collaborative, and solutions-oriented approach to legal work.
- Ability to manage competing priorities independently while maintaining a high standard of execution.
What you can expect:
- Lead the legal workstreams for mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence, negotiations, drafting and reviewing transaction documents, and coordinating with external advisors and internal stakeholders.
- Advise on legal considerations and regulatory requirements related to international operations and expansion.
- Oversee corporate entities, corporate records, and related governance processes, including the incorporation and ongoing management of global subsidiaries
- Provide guidance on corporate governance matters, including developing and implementing corporate policies and procedures.
- Support Finance on a variety of matters, including insurance renewals, tax planning, financial statements, employee equity, commission plans, and other strategic projects.
- Review marketing materials and advise on applicable compliance requirements.
- Develop and deliver compliance training programs for employees on relevant legal and regulatory topics.
- Identify legal risks across the organization and develop strategies to mitigate those risks.
- Manage litigation and dispute resolution matters, including overseeing external counsel, developing case strategies, and supporting negotiations.
- Manage 1Password’s intellectual property portfolio, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents.
- Serve as a trusted legal partner to leaders across the business, balancing thoughtful risk management with the needs of a fast-moving company.
