Location: San Francisco, California Workplace: Hybrid ABOUT SENTRY Software runs the world and the pace is faster than ever. Sentry helps developers fix errors and performance issues before users notice, so teams can spend less time firefighting and more time building. Trusted by 200,000+ organizations, Sentry is today’s application monitoring standard and our team is building its AI-native future. ABOUT THE ROLE At Sentry, Support is an engineering discipline. Our customers are developers, and they expect answers from people who can read their stack trace, open the SDK source, and tell them what's actually wrong. We're hiring a Senior Manager to lead Support Engineering. You'll run the team that handles everything from a single developer's SDK question to a production incident at one of our largest enterprise customers. You'll also help drive how we use AI in support: what systems are used, how they best help customers, enable the teams, and how we know the answers they give are right and forward looking. This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll manage people, set the support strategy, get face to face time with customers, while also getting into tickets when it matters. IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL Lead and grow the team - Manage and coach a team of Technical Support Engineers - Set clear expectations for technical depth, response quality, and ownership, and give direct feedback - Design a coverage model that works across time zones, including on-call and escalation paths - Build career paths for Support Engineers who want to go deeper technically, move into management, or move into different teams and practices Own support outcomes - Own and report the team's core metrics: CX, time to resolution, escalation rate, and more - Use support conversations as a signal: find the top drivers of tickets and get them fixed in the product, the docs, internal operations, or the SDKs, not just answered faster Run AI-assisted support - Own the roadmap for our support agents: which request types they handle, what context they need, and when they hand off to a person - Set the quality bar for agent answers and the process for catching incomplete ones - Decide where automation is worth building and where it isn't, based on data Handle escalations and partner across Sentry - Run the escalation process with Engineering: make sure bugs reach the right team with a reproduction and clear impact, and that customers hear back - Be the support lead on high-stakes enterprise issues, working with Customer Success, Solutions Engineering, and Sales - Bring a clear picture of customer pain to Product and Engineering, backed by numbers YOU'LL LOVE THIS JOB IF YOU - Think great support is an engineering problem, not a staffing problem - Want to build the team and the systems at the same time - Can debug a tricky SDK issue yourself and also explain to a VP why their incident took four hours - Would rather fix the cause of 200 tickets than answer them faster - Have strong opinions on where AI helps in support and where it makes things worse, and be willing to discuss this at length. QUALIFICATIONS - 8+ years in technical support, support engineering, or software engineering at a SaaS or developer tools company - 3+ years managing technical support engineers, including hiring and growing a team - Technically credible with senior engineers: comfortable reading code in at least a few of Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Ruby, and debugging across frontend, backend, and infrastructure - Solid understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and how observability tools (errors, tracing, logs) fit into them - Hands-on experience running AI or automation in a support org, and a clear view of its failure modes - Track record of using support data to drive product and process changes - Clear, direct written communication with customers, executives, and engineers Bonus - Experience at a developer tools or observability company - Former software engineer - Managed a team spread across multiple time zones - Open source contributor or maintainer The base salary range (or hourly wage range, if applicable) that Sentry reasonably expects to pay for this position is $160,000 to $180,000. A successful candidate’s actual base salary (or hourly wage) amount will be determined by a variety of relevant factors including, without limitation, the candidate’s work location, education, work and other relevant experience, skills, and job-related knowledge. A successful candidate will be eligible to participate in Sentry’s employee benefit plans/programs applicable to the candidate’s position (including incentive compensation, equity grants, paid time off, and group health insurance coverage). See Sentry Benefits https://sentry.io/careers/ for more details about the Company’s benefit plans/programs. EQUAL OPPORTUNITY AT SENTRY Sentry is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to its employees and candidates for employment regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity, veteran status, or other legally-protected characteristic. This commitment includes the provision of reasonable accommodations to employees and candidates for employment with physical or mental disabilities who require such accommodations in order to (a) perform the essential functions of their jobs, or (b) seek employment with Sentry. We strive to build a diverse team, with an inclusive culture where every teammate can thrive. Sentry is an open-source company because we believe that everyone, everywhere, should have the ability and tools to make great software. Software should be accessible. That starts with making our industry accessible. If you need assistance or an accommodation due to a disability, you may contact us at accommodations@sentry.io. Location: New York, NY (HQ) Workplace: Hybrid ABOUT RAMP Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $275B in annualized spend flows in and out of 85,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books. The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving. We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome. The median Ramp customer saves 7.5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same. If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it. ABOUT THE ROLE Ramp is hiring its first dedicated Physical Security Lead to build and run the program that protects our people, our leaders, our events, and our offices. Our footprint now spans a multi-floor New York headquarters, Ramp-managed offices, and a growing set of hubs across North America and Europe. Our leaders are increasingly visible on public stages. You'll own three areas in roughly equal measure: executive protection, event security, and office security (access control, cameras, guards, and building security). Your job is to turn a set of strong vendors and partner teams into one measurable, risk-based program. This is a high-ownership IC role on the Corporate Security team. It reports to the Director of IT & Corporate Security and is based at our NYC HQ. This is a physical security role; cybersecurity and information security are owned by other Ramp security teams. We aren't looking for a guard supervisor or a box-checker. We want someone who makes it safe for Ramp to move fast, host great events, and keep our leaders accessible. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Build and run Ramp's executive protection program: - Protective risk assessments and residential security reviews. - Domestic and international travel security. - Advance work for high-visibility appearances. - Selecting, standing up, and managing our executive protection provider. - Turn threat intelligence into protective action. Partner with Detection & Response to move from online threat and exposure monitoring to threat assessments, personal-information exposure reduction, and clear escalation playbooks. - Own security for internal and external events, from all-hands and offsites to conferences, customer events, and executive dinners: - Risk-tiered intake and written security plans. - Coordination with venues and vendors. - On-site leadership for the highest-risk events. - After-action reviews. - Set Ramp's global physical security standards for access control, video surveillance, intercoms, visitor management, and alarm monitoring. Tier them for headquarters, Ramp-managed offices, and flexible or serviced hub spaces. - Build security into every new office, move, and expansion: - Write the security design requirements and review drawings. - Manage integrators through installation and acceptance testing. - Partner with IT on network and identity integration. - Manage the guard program and security vendors end to end: scope, post orders, SLAs and KPIs, budget, and quarterly business reviews. Own the security relationship with landlords and building management. - Lead emergency preparedness and physical incident response: - Emergency notifications, evacuation and shelter-in-place plans, and drills. - Liaison with local law enforcement. - Workplace-violence prevention, in partnership with People and Legal. - Run physical access governance with IT. Tie access to joiner/mover/leaver events, run regular access reviews, and keep audit-ready evidence for physical security controls. - Measure and report program health to leadership. Use AI and automation to scale the program without scaling headcount. WHAT YOU NEED - 6+ years in corporate or physical security, including 3+ years owning a security program or major workstream at a multi-site company. Executing someone else's program doesn't count toward this. - Hands-on depth in at least two of the three areas (executive protection, event security, physical security systems such as access control and cameras) and solid working knowledge of the third. - Experience administering or deploying enterprise access control and video platforms (e.g., Avigilon Alta/Openpath, Verkada, Genetec, LenelS2), and partnering with IT on networking and SSO. - A track record of managing security vendors (guard, protection, integrator, event staffing) through contracts, SLAs, budgets, and performance reviews. - Strong risk judgment. You size controls to the actual threat, explain the tradeoffs, and lead with "here's how we do this safely" rather than "no." - Excellent writing. You can produce a crisp SOP, an event security plan, and a one-page executive brief. - Willingness to work from our NYC office 4 days a week, travel 10–15%, support occasional evening and weekend events, and serve as primary on-call for physical security incidents (with the Director as backup and guard and vendor partners as on-site first response). - Real, day-to-day use of AI tools in your work. NICE-TO-HAVES - ASIS CPP or PSP; formal executive protection training; first aid or Stop the Bleed certification. - Experience at a high-growth tech, fintech, or financial services company with a high-profile founder or CEO. - Experience writing security design standards for office buildouts and reading architectural or low-voltage drawings. - Familiarity with physical and environmental control requirements in SOC 2, PCI DSS, or FedRAMP. - A government protective, law enforcement, or military background, combined with corporate program ownership. - An established network of protection, event security, and integrator vendors in NYC, SF, and internationally. FAIR WARNING - This is a builder role. Parts of the program exist today (vendors, a responsibility matrix, some SOPs). You'll turn them into a system. - You're an IC who directs vendors and partner teams, not a manager of a security staff. You'll need to influence Workplace, Events, IT, Executive Assistants, People, and Legal without formal authority. - Security at Ramp enables the business. Events still happen, offices stay welcoming, and executives stay accessible. Your job is to make that safe. - Evenings, weekends, and travel come with the territory, especially around major events. BENEFITS AVAILABLE TO ALL FULL-TIME RAMP EMPLOYEES (GLOBAL) - Flexible PTO - Centralized home-office equipment ordering - Health and wellness stipend - Budget for intra-office travel - Weekly coffee stipend UNITED STATES - 100% medical, dental & vision insurance coverage for you, with partial coverage for dependents - One Medical annual membership - 401(k), including employer match on contributions made while employed by Ramp - Fertility HRA (up to $10,000 per year) - Parental leave: up to 16 weeks (birthing + bonding) or 8 weeks (bonding only) at 100% pay - Pet insurance - In-office perks: lunch, snacks, drinks, and more - Relocation expense coverage to NYC or SF (if needed) CANADA - Group medical, dental, and vision coverage through Sun Life - Life, AD&D, and disability coverage - Fertility drug coverage (up to $4,000 lifetime) - Group Retirement Plan with employer match (RRSP + DPSP) - Parental leave: up to 16 weeks (birthing + bonding) or 8 weeks (bonding only) at 100% pay, with additional time available at reduced pay - Employee Assistance Program and virtual care through Lumino Health UNITED KINGDOM - Private medical insurance through Freedom Elite - Virtual GP and at-home care via eMed x Livi - Workplace pension through Penfold, with salary sacrifice option - Parental leave: up to 16 weeks (birthing + bonding) or 8 weeks (bonding only) at 100% pay with additional time available at reduced pay REFERRAL INSTRUCTIONS If you are being referred for the role, please contact that person to apply on your behalf. OTHER NOTICES Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records. Beware of recruiting scams: Ramp will only contact you through official @Ramp.com http://Ramp.com email addresses and will never ask for payment or sensitive personal information during the hiring process.
