We bill 40K+ companies across four countries, affiliate their employees, and keep payroll and employment data accurate for 1M+ members. Our mission is to build the shared infrastructure that enables other Alan services to operate reliably and efficiently. You’ll work on a multi-country billing and invoicing platform, affiliation and employment systems that determine who is covered and from when, reconciliation tooling that identifies coverage and billing mismatches, and the APIs used by other teams to build their services. These are systems where correctness is non-negotiable: a wrong invoice or a missed affiliation can be visible to a company within the same week.

Our Story
We are looking for a
Senior Full Stack Developer (Web Platform)

This is not a role for someone who only wants to work within a fixed web stack or maintain existing templates. We are looking for a web engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems, making sound architectural decisions, and building systems that remain robust and maintainable as requirements evolve.
You will work across frontend and backend, improve the technical foundation of our web platform, and help us build scalable solutions that enable our teams to manage and publish content. Along the way, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders across design, marketing, product and engineering but with strong ownership over technical quality, long-term maintainability, and the overall direction of the platform.
What you will do
Design, build, and evolve our web platform features across front-end and CMS back-end.
Solve complex technical problems in a pragmatic way, balancing speed of delivery with long-term maintainability
Drive architectural improvements that make our web ecosystem more robust, scalable, and easier to work with
Build and improve our back-end functionality in PHP and Laravel for integrations, dynamic features, and internal tooling
Extend and optimize our CMS and publishing workflows to support efficient content operations without compromising technical quality
Improve performance, Core Web Vitals, accessibility, and technical SEO foundations across the platform
Work on the evolution of our current web architecture, while also challenging existing approaches when better solutions exist
Collaborate with design, marketing, product, and engineering teams to turn business requirements into well-structured technical solutions
Interface with back-end systems written in C++, ensuring reliable and efficient data exchange across system boundaries
Identify opportunities to improve developer experience, reduce complexity, and raise the overall engineering standard of the platform
Take ownership of technical tasks and help define best practices for modern web development at think-cell
What we are looking for
Strong experience building and shipping production-grade web platforms, applications, or systems
A proven ability to solve non-trivial technical problems and work confidently in complex web related codebases
Strong full stack engineering skills, with solid backend experience in PHP, Laravel, or similar technologies and a frameworks
Strong frontend fundamentals, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript and modern approaches to building maintainable user interfaces
Good judgment when making architectural and technical trade-offs
A pragmatic mindset: you know when to build for flexibility and when to keep things simple
Curiosity and confidence to work with unfamiliar technologies or domains when needed
A strong sense of ownership and responsibility for code quality, maintainability, and technical outcomes
Experience collaborating across disciplines and communicating clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders in English
Nice to have
Experience with Statamic CMS
Experience with static site generation challenges
Experience with Deployment Tools such as Jenkins or similar tools
Familiarity with Tailwind, Alpine.js, or similar frontend tools
Experience improving performance-critical, SEO-relevant, or content-heavy platforms
Familiarity with Python for automation or tooling
Experience integrating with non-web backend systems or services

ABOUT US
At LangChain, our mission is to make intelligent agents ubiquitous. We build the foundation for agent engineering in the real world, helping developers move from prototypes to production-ready AI agents that teams can rely on. We began as widely adopted open-source tools and have grown to also offer a platform for building, evaluating, deploying, and operating agents at scale.
With $125M raised at Series B from IVP, Sequoia, Benchmark, CapitalG, and Sapphire Ventures, we’re at a stage where we’re continuing to develop new products, growth is accelerating, and all team members have meaningful impact on what we build and how we work together. LangChain is a place where your contributions can shape how this technology shows up in the real world.
Today, our platform includes LangSmith (Observability, Evaluation, Deployment, Fleet, and Sandboxes), our open source frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, and Deep Agents), and the newly launched LangSmith Engine for autonomous agent improvement. We have 100M+ monthly open source downloads, 6,000+ active LangSmith customers, and 5 of the Fortune 10 use LangSmith in production (+ 35% of the Fortune 500 overall), including teams at Klarna, Clay, Coinbase, Workday, Lyft, Cloudflare, Harvey, Rippling, Vanta, LinkedIn, Monday.com, Nvidia, and Bridgewater.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to shape the technical direction of our platform while working closely with enterprise customers, developer end-users and internal stakeholders.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Lead the technical architecture and implementation of key product features for LangSmith, working across our entire Go, Python, and Typescript stack.
- Collaborate closely with product and design teams to iterate on new features.
- Mentor and guide more junior members of the team. Drive aggressive project timelines while ensuring high engineering standards are being met.
- Lead by example in writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
WHAT YOU BRING
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering working on complex platform products
- Fullstack engineering experience with Go or Python on the backend and React + Typescript on the frontend.
- Strong understanding of database systems, particularly Postgres and Redis
- Experience designing and scaling APIs, preferably in a high-performance, data-intensive application

- Strong communicator with the ability to collaborate closely with various internal stakeholders and engage directly with our top-tier customers
- Strong ownership mindset
- Bonus: Experience with AI/LLM-powered applications, developer tools, or observability platforms

Compensation Philosophy:
We offer competitive compensation that includes base salary, variable compensation for relevant roles, meaningful equity, benefits, and perks.
We are hiring for this role across a range of scope, and the compensation band reflects that. Your offer depends on what we learn about your impact, craft, leadership, and communication during the interview process. We will tell you early where you’re tracking and talk comp with you before offer stage. Team members in the EU, UK, and APAC receive locally competitive benefits aligned with regional norms and regulations.

Location: North America
Workplace: Remote
At Linear, we're building the product development system for teams and agents. AI is fundamentally changing how software gets built, and we’re shaping the tools this new era requires.
Founded in 2019, Linear has become the platform of choice for more than 40,000 companies (including OpenAI, Coinbase, and Ramp) to plan, build, and ship their products. Today, our team is distributed across North America, Europe, and Australia, and we’re continuing to grow internationally. What unites us is relentless focus, fast execution, and a deep care for software craftsmanship.
As a small team, we’re all generalists that work across the full stack (built in Typescript end-to-end). We’re looking for experienced engineers that thrive in an environment of autonomy and individual responsibility to help us build the future of product development.
Location & work mode
Linear is a remote-first company, with optional co-working offices in San Francisco, New York, and London. This role is open to candidates based in the US and Europe. You can work from anywhere within those regions. We value deep focus and async collaboration, with intentional moments to connect in person through team off-sites, optional co-working, and occasional travel.
What you'll do
- Build new user-facing features with everything from database models to GraphQL resolvers and UI components
- Optimize our data synchronization stack by applying better serialization protocols
- Add real-time collaborative editing to our content editor
- Improve performance by profiling and tweaking virtualized list rendering
- Add analytics, monitoring, and alerts to our service so that we can better respond to operational incidents
- Open-source any non-trivial innovations that come out of our work on the product
- Redefine best-in-class software development processes so that we can build a purpose-built product.
What we're looking for
- 5+ years of experience building customer-facing products at a high-quality software company
- Strong React and TypeScript fundamentals, with experience across the full stack (Browser technologies, Node, GraphQL, PostgreSQL)
- Track record of driving complex, end-to-end features (not just incremental improvements and refactors) with visible impact on the product
- Product sensibility: you care about UX, speed, and polish, and you push back when something doesn't feel right
- Comfortable working without heavy PM overhead; you can help to shape the problem, not just implement a solution
- High ownership mentality: self-directed, full-lifecycle builder who takes a feature from idea to shipped
- Thrives in a remote, async-first environment with a lean, high-output team
- Experience at a startup or a company with a genuinely high engineering bar
Our tech
This stack reflects the systems we build and operate. You’re not expected to have experience with everything listed, but you should be excited to work close to product, performance, and real-world scale.
- Agentic workload system utilizing temporal, operating at production scale
- Proprietary websocket data sync framework built for speed and offline support
- React, MobX, styled-components on the frontend
- Extensive, widely used, GraphQL API and SDK
- Node, Postgres, Temporal, and Redis in the backend
- Hosted on Google Cloud with k8s
- GitHub, Slack, Notion
What we offer
We're a small, focused team that cares deeply about the quality of our work and the people we do it with. Here's what you can expect:
- Competitive salary and equity
- Employee-friendly equity terms including early exercise in the US and extended exercise windows
- Daily meal and coffee stipend on every workday
- Paid co-working space or desk
- Health coverage (based on country requirements)
