ABOUT SENTRY
Software runs the world and the pace is faster than ever. Sentry helps developers fix errors and performance issues before users notice, so teams can spend less time firefighting and more time building.
Trusted by 200,000+ organizations, Sentry is today’s application monitoring standard and our team is building its AI-native future.
ABOUT THIS ROLE
At Sentry, Finance plays a critical role in helping the company understand where we are, where we're going, and how to make better decisions along the way.
We are looking for a Director of FP&A to build and own the core financial planning and operating rhythms for the company. You will lead company-wide forecasting and planning, management and Board reporting, headcount planning, and FP&A's partnership with Accounting during the close. You will also be a senior business partner to leaders across Sentry, helping translate company strategy into financial plans and operating decisions.
This is a hands-on leadership role. Many of the processes you will own are being rebuilt, so we're looking for someone who has designed great FP&A processes—not just inherited and operated them. You'll be expected to get into the details, build where necessary, and quickly develop enough context and trust to run your areas with a high degree of independence.
You will report to the VP of Finance & Strategy and manage an FP&A Manager focused on company spend, including cloud and AI infrastructure costs.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL
- Own Sentry's company-wide forecasting, annual planning, and long-range planning processes, including the consolidated financial model and corporate roll-up.
- Build a clear and repeatable operating cadence around forecasts, budget-to-actual performance, variance analysis, and communication of financial results.
- Partner closely with Accounting during the monthly and quarterly close, providing accrual inputs, budget-to-actual analysis, and variance explanations while Accounting retains ownership of close execution and the integrity of the books.
- Own company-wide headcount planning and forecasting, working closely with People and functional leaders to maintain an accurate view of hiring plans, compensation, and workforce investment.
- Lead the financial component of Board and executive reporting, turning company performance and underlying drivers into clear, decision-ready materials.
- Serve as a trusted finance partner to leaders across the company, helping them understand their businesses, evaluate tradeoffs, and make better resource-allocation decisions.
- Oversee Sentry's approach to cost management, including the FP&A Manager's work on cloud, AI infrastructure, vendor, and other major areas of company spend.
- Improve the systems, models, reporting, and data infrastructure that support FP&A, eliminating unnecessary manual work and increasing the speed and quality of decision-making.
- Build strong working relationships across Finance, Accounting, People, Engineering, and the rest of Sentry so that financial planning is integrated into how the company operates rather than treated as a separate finance exercise.
- Raise the quality bar for FP&A as Sentry continues to grow, identifying what should be standardized, automated, redesigned, or added over time.
YOU'LL LOVE THIS ROLE IF YOU
- Are a self-sufficient builder who enjoys taking an ambiguous or underdeveloped process, creating structure around it, and making it work.
- Like being close to the details but know how to pull up and communicate what matters to executives.
- Believe great FP&A is as much about business partnership and judgment as it is about building models.
- Enjoy creating simple, durable processes rather than adding complexity or bureaucracy.
- Have high standards for accuracy and analytical rigor, but know when 90% today is more useful than 100% a week from now.
- Want meaningful ownership and are comfortable operating with a high degree of independence in a fast-moving environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of progressive FP&A experience, including leading planning/forecasting processes end to end; prior people-management experience preferred.
- Demonstrated experience designing or rebuilding elements of an FP&A/planning function — not just operating within one that already exists.
- Experience partnering with an accounting/controller function on close (BvA, accruals, variance analysis) without owning transactional accounting.
- Experience with NetSuite, Looker (or a comparable BI tool), and a modern planning/EPM platform (e.g. Adaptive Planning, Planful, Pigment, or Vareto); advanced Excel/Google Sheets.
- Experience building and presenting exec-level materials.
- MBA or CPA a plus, not required.
Not sure you meet every qualification? We encourage you to apply anyway. We're interested in people who are excited about the opportunity, have demonstrated an ability to learn quickly, drive change, and want to help us build a great finance function.
EQUAL OPPORTUNITY AT SENTRY
Sentry is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to its employees and candidates for employment regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity, veteran status, or other legally-protected characteristic. This commitment includes the provision of reasonable accommodations to employees and candidates for employment with physical or mental disabilities who require such accommodations in order to (a) perform the essential functions of their jobs, or (b) seek employment with Sentry. We strive to build a diverse team, with an inclusive culture where every teammate can thrive. Sentry is an open-source company because we believe that everyone, everywhere, should have the ability and tools to make great software. Software should be accessible. That starts with making our industry accessible.

ABOUT RAMP
Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $275B in annualized spend flows in and out of 85,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.
The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.
We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.
The median Ramp customer saves 7.5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.
If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Director, Product Finance and FP&A to help drive Ramp’s next phase of growth! This role spans our Product Finance and Corporate FP&A functions. You'll own two of the highest-leverage areas on the team: the unit economics and monetization strategy across every product we ship, and the financial architecture of the company—model, budget, and Board reporting. The work you do will directly shape how we price, how we allocate capital, and how we support executive decision-making through financial insights and planning.
This represents a truly unique opportunity to join one of the country’s fastest-growing startups as we scale toward a potential IPO. You’ll partner closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, Accounting, and executive leadership to drive some of Ramp’s most important financial decisions.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
PRODUCT FINANCE
- Own our unit economics models for every product line, setting financial targets and partnering cross-functionally to turn goals into reality
- Drive pricing and monetization strategy across Ramp's portfolio in partnership with Product and executive leadership
- Run strategic custom deals, structuring creative commercial arrangements that help Sales win in competitive situations
- Partner closely with Product leaders to evaluate new product investments, business cases, and long-term growth opportunities
FP&A
- Own Ramp's consolidated financial model and develop a deep understanding of the business drivers behind company performance from revenue through cash flow
- Lead headcount planning across the company, including partnering with People and GTM leadership on capacity and hiring decisions
- Lead non-payroll budgeting across the company, particularly partnering with Engineering, Procurement Ops, and executive leadership on cost strategy and vendor negotiations
- Build and oversee executive-level financial reporting, analyses, and materials that support Board and leadership decision-making
- Own FP&A's internal systems and tooling roadmap for the infrastructure that both FP&A and the broader finance org run on
WHAT YOU NEED
- 8+ years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, private equity, strategic finance, FP&A, or a related finance function, including experience at a high-growth technology company
- Experience managing, mentoring, or developing high-performing team members is a plus
- Excellent financial modeling and quantitative/data analysis skills
- Extreme attention to detail with a high regard for precision
- A "get things done" mentality—you can dissect complex problems, identify solutions, and drive them to completion with a high degree of autonomy
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial analyses clearly to cross-functional stakeholders and executives
- Proven track record of using AI and automation tools (e.g. Claude Code) to streamline financial analysis, modeling, reporting, and other finance workflows
BENEFITS AVAILABLE TO ALL FULL-TIME RAMP EMPLOYEES (GLOBAL)
- Flexible PTO
- Centralized home-office equipment ordering
- Health and wellness stipend
- Budget for intra-office travel
- Weekly coffee stipend

You'll partner across the business on forecasting and financial analysis, with a significant focus on cloud infrastructure, AI costs, vendor spend, and other areas where better financial visibility can translate directly into better decisions.
You will be expected to understand the economics behind our infrastructure, build the financial models and reporting needed to manage it, identify meaningful opportunities, and work with Engineering and other partners to turn those insights into action.
You'll also operate as a generalist FP&A partner and play an important role in building the processes, models, and operating rhythms that Finance will use as Sentry grows.
You will report to the Director of FP&A.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL
- Own forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis for significant areas of Sentry's operations, with particular emphasis on cloud infrastructure, AI-related spend, software, vendors, and other major cost categories.
- Partner closely with Engineering and infrastructure leaders to understand the drivers of cloud and AI spend, translate technical consumption into financial forecasts, and identify opportunities to improve unit economics and gross margin.
- Develop reporting that makes cloud and infrastructure costs understandable and actionable, including trends, cost allocation, unit costs, utilization economics, commitments, and significant variances.
- Help evaluate cloud commitments, reserved capacity, vendor agreements, and other commercial decisions by modeling their financial implications and tradeoffs.
- Build and operate a scalable company-wide expense-management process that gives budget owners clear visibility into their spend, forecasts, and accountability.
- Partner with functional leaders on budgets, forecasts, business cases, and ongoing financial performance.
- Support monthly and quarterly reporting, including budget-to-actual analysis, variance explanations, forecast updates, and accrual inputs in partnership with Accounting.
- Support company-wide planning, headcount forecasting, management reporting, and other corporate FP&A work alongside the Director of FP&A.
- Develop models and analyses to answer important business questions, particularly around efficiency, cost structure, gross margin, and resource allocation.
- Identify opportunities to automate reporting, improve source data, and replace manual or fragmented finance processes with scalable ones.
- Work cross-functionally with Accounting, Engineering, Procurement and business leaders to ensure financial information leads to action rather than simply producing another report.
YOU'LL LOVE THIS ROLE IF YOU
- Are a self-starter who likes owning a problem from messy data through recommendation and implementation.
- Get genuinely interested in understanding why a cost moves rather than simply reporting that it moved.
- Enjoy working with technical partners and can translate infrastructure or product concepts into financial drivers.
- Like building processes, models, and reporting from scratch and making them simpler each time they run.
- Have strong financial instincts but aren't afraid to get into large or imperfect datasets to find the answer.
- Are comfortable moving between detailed cost analysis and broader company FP&A work.
- Know that good cost management is about helping teams make smarter tradeoffs—not simply telling them to spend less.
- Are comfortable with the pace, ambiguity, and ownership that comes with a growing company.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, corporate finance, technology finance, or a related analytical finance role.
- Experience owning budgets, forecasts, budget-to-actual analysis, and financial partnership with business leaders.
- Demonstrated experience building or materially improving financial models, planning processes, cost-management processes, or business-partnering cadences.
- Experience analyzing cloud infrastructure, hosting, AI/LLM, or other usage-driven costs is strongly preferred. Direct FinOps experience is a plus but is not required.
- Experience with BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Experience with NetSuite and modern FP&A or spend-management platforms is a plus.
- Familiarity with FinOps concepts including cost allocation, showback/chargeback, commitments, and cloud cost optimization is a plus; FinOps Certified Practitioner or similar training is welcome but not required.
- Strong communication and business-partnering skills, particularly the ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance audiences and turn analysis into action.
Not sure you meet every qualification? We encourage you to apply anyway. We're interested in people who are excited about the opportunity, have demonstrated an ability to learn quickly, drive change, and want to help us build a great finance function.

We’re in a defining moment of an incredible journey. Come and build with us.
🎯 Your main goal will be to own the forward-looking financial plan for the top and mid funnel of n8n’s commercial engine, helping Marketing leadership make sharper investment decisions across both our PLG and SLG motions.
To do so, you’ll turn demand, funnel, and marketing investment decisions into an integrated financial view that leadership can act on:
OWN MARKETING PLANNING & FORECASTING
- Drive n8n’s annual planning and regular forecasting process for Marketing end to end, from top-down targets and cross-functional alignment through regional segmentation, budget ownership, and consolidation into the company plan.
- Partner with Marketing budget owners across demand generation, brand, community and DevRel, product marketing, and events to set budgets, forecast spend, and sharpen investment trade-offs.
- Own program spend with the same rigor as headcount, including agency and media contracts, event and sponsorship commitments, phasing, seasonality, and in-year reallocations.
MODEL FUNNEL & CHANNEL ECONOMICS
- Model demand creation, signup and MQL volume, activation, qualified opportunity, conversion, and velocity with Marketing Ops and RevOps across both PLG and SLG motions.
- Translate funnel and channel levers into the demand assumptions behind n8n’s integrated top-line model and quantify the financial impact and trade-offs of changing them.
- Assess CAC and payback, conversion, pipeline contribution, and expected versus realized ROI using attribution, incrementality testing, and other causal methods where appropriate.
BUILD A RIGOROUS MARKETING INVESTMENT FRAMEWORK
- Establish a repeatable process for material marketing bets covering hypothesis, baseline, expected return, confidence range, leading indicators, scale-or-stop triggers, and post-investment review.
- Build and defend investment cases for brand, community, content, events, and other spend that does not attribute cleanly to closed revenue.
- Use internal evidence, external benchmarks, and post-investment learnings to drive in-year reallocations toward the highest-impact opportunities.
TURN DATA INTO DECISIONS
- Partner with Marketing Ops, RevOps, Data, and Controlling to keep the financial view aligned with n8n’s attribution, measurement, and reporting frameworks.
- Own the financial metric definitions behind Marketing reporting and ensure teams are operating from a consistent view of performance.
- Turn financial reporting and variance analysis into tangible insights and recommendations for Marketing leadership, executives, and board-level audiences when needed.
REQUIREMENTS
MUST-HAVES
- 📊 FP&A experience: You have 7+ years of experience in FP&A or strategic finance, ideally in a fast-paced technology or B2B SaaS environment.
- 🗂️ Complex planning experience: You have led complex, multi-entity, multi-stakeholder annual planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes end to end.
- 🤝 Marketing business partnering: You have deep demand-side finance partnering experience in either a self-serve/PLG funnel or an enterprise/SLG demand generation motion, plus a strong working understanding of the other.
- 📈 Funnel and channel economics: You are fluent in CAC and CAC payback by channel and motion, blended versus paid CAC, CLV/CAC, pipeline attribution, funnel conversion, and velocity.
- 🧭 Judgment on unattributable spend: You have built and defended investment cases for brand, community, content, or similar spend that will never attribute cleanly to a closed deal.
- 💶 Program spend ownership: You are comfortable owning a budget weighted toward program spend, including commitments, phasing, agency costs, vendor economics, and reallocations.
- 🧮 Financial modeling: You build sophisticated, integrated financial models that remain robust as assumptions, scenarios, and operating inputs change.
- 🗣️ Executive communication: You translate complex analysis into clear recommendations and are comfortable presenting to Marketing leadership, executives, and board audiences when needed.
- 🤖 AI- and automation-first mindset: You naturally use AI and automation platforms such as n8n to improve the quality, speed, and repeatability of your planning, reporting, and analysis.
NICE-TO-HAVES
- 🔄 PLG + SLG fluency: You have deep experience across both product-led and sales-led demand motions rather than primarily one.
- 🧑💻 Developer-focused environment: You have worked at a community-led, open-source, or developer-focused product company.
- 🧪 Incrementality & experimentation: You have exposure to incrementality testing, holdout design, or marketing mix modeling.
- 🛠️ Marketing & RevOps tooling: You have experience consuming data from tools such as HubSpot or Marketo, GA4, attribution platforms, and Salesforce.
- 📋 Planning platforms: You have worked with financial or headcount planning platforms such as Pigment in complex, multi-entity, or multi-stakeholder environments.
- 🧑🔬 Data self-sufficiency: You are comfortable using SQL and building your own views in tools such as Looker, Metabase, or Hex rather than waiting on a Data team.
- ⚙️ Relevant SaaS domain experience: You have worked in workflow automation, developer tools, or infrastructure SaaS.
Why join us?
At n8n, you’ll own the financial view of one of the most important joins in our growth engine: where community, product-led adoption, and enterprise demand generation meet. You’ll work closely with Marketing leadership and counterpart FP&A Managers covering the PLG and SLG bottom of funnel, giving you visibility across the full commercial plan and real influence over how we allocate one of our largest discretionary investments.
You’ll join a fast-growing, remote-first company where finance is expected to help shape decisions, not simply report on them. As n8n expands the opportunity around AI agent orchestration and helps businesses unlock measurable ROI through automation, you’ll help build the planning discipline, investment frameworks, and automation-first finance practices that support our next stage of growth.
Sound like a challenge you’re excited to take on?

🎯 NOTE IMPORTANTE : NOUS RECRUTONS DES PERSONNES, PAS DES RÔLES.
#LI-DNP

Why work at Higgsfield AI?
Higgsfield AI is the fastest-scaling generative AI company in history, hitting $1B in annual revenue run rate, 30M+ users worldwide, 6M+ generations per day, and powering 390 of Fortune 500 brands.
We're building at the absolute frontier of AI-powered video creation and next-generation creative tools. Joining Higgsfield means becoming part of a high-impact team shaping the future of AI-native experiences, at a company that isn't just moving fast, but rewriting what fast looks like.
About the role:
Higgsfield AI is seeking a Head of Revenue Accounting to own revenue recognition and the order-to-cash lifecycle end to end.
This is a highly hands-on role supporting a high-volume, consumption-based business with a credit-driven revenue model. You will own the accounting judgments, systems, processes, and controls that support revenue across self-serve, enterprise, platform, and partnership motions.
This is a builder role. You will have the opportunity to establish and scale processes that are still evolving, reduce manual workflows, strengthen our financial controls, and build the infrastructure required to support Higgsfield's continued hypergrowth.
What You'll Do:
Own Revenue Recognition
- Own the monthly revenue close across Higgsfield's consumption and credit-based revenue model, including credit grants, consumption, breakage, unused balances, refunds, and chargebacks.
- Maintain and evolve Higgsfield's revenue recognition policies under ASC 606, including judgments around performance obligations, promotional and grace-period credits, variable consideration, and material rights.
- Review non-standard commercial arrangements across enterprise, reseller, platform, and strategic partnership deals and determine the appropriate accounting treatment.
- Evaluate complex revenue considerations including principal-versus-agent conclusions and other technical accounting matters.
Lead Order-to-Cash Operations
- Own the order-to-cash lifecycle end to end, including order capture, billing, invoicing, cash application, collections, disputes, and revenue reporting.
- Manage billing across self-serve and enterprise business models, including usage-based billing, post-paid overages, and true-ups.
- Own accounts receivable operations, including aging, collections cadence, reserve methodology, and write-off processes.
- Design, document, and continuously improve order-to-cash workflows, controls, and segregation of duties.
Build Scalable Revenue Systems
- Own the revenue automation and reconciliation environment, including HubiFi and the audit trail from financial reporting down to the underlying transaction.
- Own revenue-related Stripe processes, including payouts, fees, settlement timing, and reconciliation of gross transaction activity to cash received.
- Partner closely with Engineering and Data to ensure the completeness, quality, and reliability of usage and credit-consumption data supporting revenue recognition.
- Drive automation across the revenue close and systematically reduce reliance on manual spreadsheets.
Drive Close, Reconciliation, and Controls
- Own revenue and AR balance sheet reconciliations, including bookings-to-cash analysis and proof-of-cash processes.
- Own the revenue portion of the close calendar and identify opportunities to shorten close timelines while maintaining accuracy and control.
- Build revenue reporting and analytics for Finance leadership and other key stakeholders.
- Establish scalable controls and documentation to support a growing and increasingly complex business.
Support Audit Readiness
- Serve as the primary Finance point of contact for external auditors on revenue recognition and order-to-cash processes.
- Prepare audit support, walkthroughs, reconciliations, process narratives, and other PBC materials.
- Help strengthen revenue processes and controls as Higgsfield continues to scale and prepares for increasing audit and reporting requirements.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of accounting experience with meaningful depth in revenue accounting.
- Strong practical knowledge of ASC 606, including complex judgment areas such as variable consideration, breakage, principal versus agent, and material rights.
- Hands-on experience owning revenue accounting in a high-volume environment involving usage-based, consumption-based, credit-based, or scaled subscription revenue.
- Demonstrated experience owning order-to-cash processes, including billing and accounts receivable.
- Experience working directly with payment platforms and reconciling transaction activity, fees, settlements, and payouts to cash; Stripe experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience configuring or administering revenue automation or subscription billing systems such as HubiFi, Zuora, NetSuite ARM, RevPro, Maxio, or similar.
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working directly with transaction-level data to independently investigate and validate financial activity.
- Advanced Excel skills; SQL experience is a strong plus.
- Ability to operate effectively in a high-growth environment where processes and systems are still being built.
- Strong cross-functional communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with Finance, Engineering, Data, and other teams.
Nice to Have:
- CPA.
- Big 4 or national accounting firm experience.
- Experience supporting an IPO, audit-readiness process, or similarly scaled financial environment.
- NetSuite experience.
- Exposure to multi-entity, multi-currency, or intercompany revenue flows.
- Experience building accounting processes from the ground up in a startup or high-growth environment.
Compensation & Benefits
- We offer a competitive and thoughtfully structured compensation package designed to align with impact, experience, and long-term growth.
- Base Salary: The anticipated salary range for this role is $175,000 - $250,000 depending on experience, skills, scope, and location.
- Equity: In addition to cash compensation, employees are eligible to participate in the company’s stock option program and share in Higgsfield’s long-term growth.
- Benefits: We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employees professionally and personally, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a competitive 401(k) retirement plan with company matching, and additional benefits and perks.
- The opportunity to work on ambitious AI products alongside a highly experienced, fast-moving, and international team.
- Significant ownership, direct impact, and opportunities for professional growth as the company scales.
This is a hybrid role based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Team members are expected to work from our San Francisco office three full days per week, with the remaining days worked remotely and are expected to be available during agreed working hours and to maintain sufficient overlap with the relevant team’s time zone. We value in-person collaboration, active communication, responsiveness, and close partnership across teams.
Higgsfield AI is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive team and do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic.

About the role
Hi, my name is Diep N, VP, Finance at
Customer.io
, and I'm looking for a Global Controller to take the close, the books, and our control environment and make them theirs.
We're a global, remote-first, private company built on subscription and usage-based revenue, and as we grow we need a controller who can lead the team already in place and sharpen the fundamentals. You'll lead a team of ~7, growing, across revenue accounting, close, AP/AR, payroll, and treasury, and partner closely with me and, given our CFO's broad remit, with stakeholders across Sales, Legal, IT, HR, and Engineering.
What you'll do
Lead monthly and quarterly close, GL, AP/AR, payroll, and account reconciliations, delivering accurate, timely US GAAP financials. Close currently runs ~10 business days; get us to 6-8 days within your first 12 months, with fewer post-close adjustments and aged reconciliations.
Own revenue accounting and serve as our technical accounting authority on subscription and usage-based revenue recognition (ASC 606), including the ARR-to-GAAP bridge: reconciling ARR, billings, deferred revenue, contract assets, and usage true-ups to reported revenue, and explaining the delta to leadership and the board in plain terms.
Author technical accounting position memos on contract modifications, SSP allocation, variable consideration, and capitalized contract costs, the work that makes "technical accounting authority" real.
Own equity compensation accounting (ASC 718): grant accuracy, 409A timing, expense, modifications, and cap-table integrity, in partnership with stock plan administration.
Manage and grow a team of ~7, with room to scale, building trust quickly and developing the leads beneath you.
Build a control framework suited to a global, remote-first, private company with subscription and usage-based revenue, keeping the books audit-ready.
Own our accounting systems roadmap and drive automation across close and reporting.
Own select treasury operations, including cash management and banking relationships, and partner on FX exposure monitoring given our multi-currency footprint.
Run our external audit relationship and coordinate with external tax partners on compliance, provisions, and filings.
Manage the realities of a distributed, remote-first global team: statutory accounting coordination, payroll and contractor controls, entity reporting, and working with Legal, HR, and Tax on international compliance.
What we're looking for
10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leading a team through managers or leads.
A Big 4 (or equivalent top-tier public accounting) foundation.
Deep US GAAP mastery, particular strength in subscription and usage-based revenue recognition (ASC 606).
A concrete, personally-owned automation or AI deployment in accounting with a measurable result, eliminating a manual reconciliation, reducing close time, or lowering error rate, that you can speak to in detail.
Experience scaling an accounting function that was already running, not building one from zero.
A proven track record with external audits and keeping books audit-ready.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with credibility partnering with senior, cross-functional stakeholders.
Nice to have: internal controls or SOX-readiness experience; remote-first/globally distributed company experience; M&A or deal accounting exposure; CPA license, active or inactive.
Compensation & Benefits
We believe in transparency. Starting salary for this role ranges from $250k to $280k USD (or equivalent in local currency), structured by geographic zone and depending on experience. In addition to base salary, this role includes an equity grant in the form of stock options, so you share in the success you help build.
Our inclusive benefits package supports your well-being and growth, including 100% coverage of medical, dental, vision, mental health, and supplemental insurance premiums for you and your family. We also offer 16 weeks paid parental leave, unlimited PTO, stipends for remote work and wellness, a professional development budget, and more.

From Fivetran’s founding until now, our mission has remained the same: to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. We’re proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven.
About Us
Fivetran and dbt Labs are coming together with a shared mission: helping organizations unlock the full value of their data. Together we're building the data infrastructure layer that moves, transforms, and adds context to data — from the moment it lands to the point where teams and AI systems depend on it.
As we bring our teams and technology together, we're building on the strengths of both companies while continuing to deliver the products our customers know and trust. It's a good time to join a company with the scale, talent, and technology to help more organizations put their data to work.
About the Role
Product Finance covers two things: how our products perform, and what they cost to build, run, and support. This role owns the cost and investment side, as the finance partner to the Product and Customer Support organizations.
You'll own the operating expense P&L for both organizations — headcount and hiring plans, vendor and program spend, annual planning, monthly close, and budget-vs-actuals — and work with those leaders on where to spend and what to trade off.
You'll also build our view of product investment at the portfolio level: what we spend behind each product line, what it returns, and what that means for how the roadmap gets funded. That includes bringing cost of revenue and unit economics into the picture, so we can talk about product margin rather than just product spend. This is how we'll decide where to invest and where to pull back.
You'll build our cost-to-serve view as well — support cost by account and segment, and the economics of deflection and AI-assisted support.
Expect close work with Product Managers, Support and Engineering leaders, Pricing, Corporate FP&A, and Accounting, and regular exposure to senior leadership as we scale toward public company readiness.
This is a full-time, hybrid position based in our Oakland, CA office. Our hybrid work model offers a blend of remote flexibility and in-person collaboration, including two days in the office each week to connect and build as a team.
What You'll Do
Serve as the finance business partner to Product and Customer Support leadership — own their budgets, partner on spend decisions, and flag risks, trade-offs, and reallocation opportunities early.
Own the annual operating plan for both organizations, including headcount and hiring plans, vendor and program spend, and quarterly reforecasts.
Own monthly close, accruals, and variance analysis — budget vs. actuals with clear driver explanations and forward-looking implications.
Build the portfolio view of product investment: what we spend behind each product line, what it returns, and what that implies for roadmap funding and resource allocation.
Bring cost of revenue and product unit economics into that view, working with the teams that own the underlying cost data.
Build cost-to-serve analytics — support cost by account and segment, and the economics of deflection and AI-assisted support.
Build business cases for new product investments and major roadmap decisions, including the economics of retiring or consolidating products, and provide Pricing with the unit economics behind packaging and monetization changes.
Co-own the Product Monthly and Quarterly Financial Reviews with the product top-line lead, so cost and performance are presented together.
Improve how this work gets done — better data models, less manual assembly, and AI applied to recurring analysis.
What We're Looking For
4+ years in FP&A, strategic finance, product finance, investment banking, or consulting, including ownership of a model or forecast that others relied on.
Experience owning an operating expense budget, or partnering with a non-finance organization on its spend.
Strong modeling skills across both driver-based revenue forecasts and operating expense and headcount models.
Working knowledge of software and subscription economics — ARR, NRR, ARPA, expansion, gross margin — ideally in a usage-based business.
Comfort working directly with large and complex datasets. SQL proficiency strongly preferred.
Ability to turn analysis into a clear recommendation and present it to Product, Support, and senior leadership.
Interest in how software gets built and what it costs to run.
Nice to Have
Product or Engineering finance partnership at a software, data infrastructure, or developer tools company.
Hands-on product margin, cost of revenue, or cost-to-serve analysis.
Experience supporting a Customer Support, Services, or other cost-to-serve organization.
Usage-based pricing, packaging, or monetization modeling.
Planning and BI tools (Pigment, Looker, Tableau, Sigma) and lightweight automation in Python or SQL.
Experience through a period of rapid scaling or IPO preparation.

You’ll help us reach well-supported accounting conclusions, strengthen our policies, and bring rigor to areas that carry the most judgment and complexity.
Reporting to the Controller, you’ll work closely with FP&A, Legal, Sales Operations, Product, Corporate Accounting, and our external auditors. You’ll lead key technical accounting workstreams, own Controllership’s external reporting deliverables, and help shape a broader technical accounting function as Coder grows across markets and legal entities.
What you’ll do here
- Own the technical accounting analysis for complex revenue arrangements, including contract modifications, variable consideration, new product offerings, SSP considerations, and other non-routine transactions.
- Research and document accounting positions for complex transactions, translating FASB ASC guidance into clear, well-supported conclusions.
- Draft, maintain, and evolve Coder’s ASC 606 revenue recognition policy memo and related revenue playbook as our business, products, and contract structures change.
- Partner with Corporate Accounting on complex revenue matters that affect period-end reporting, helping ensure technical conclusions are applied consistently.
- Advise Finance, Legal, Sales Operations, and Product on the accounting implications of business decisions, contract structures, and new go-to-market offerings.
- Prepare and review quarterly stock-based compensation accounting, including journal entries, disclosures, and variance analysis.
- Prepare group financial statements, including consolidation and entity-level reporting, with consideration for a multinational legal entity structure.
- Own the preparation of Controllership’s quarterly reporting for the Board and investors, including financial results, key accounting matters, and supporting analyses, subject to Controller review.
- Partner with FP&A and Finance leadership to ensure Board and investor materials are accurate, consistent, and clearly supported by the underlying financials.
- Evaluate accounting implications that arise as Coder operates across jurisdictions, partnering with internal and external experts where needed.
- Serve as the primary technical accounting partner for external auditors on revenue, equity, and other complex accounting matters.
- Translate complex technical accounting guidance into clear, practical recommendations for leadership and cross-functional partners.
- Use AI tools where appropriate to accelerate technical research, memo drafting, and improvements to accounting processes.
- Support SOX readiness by maintaining strong controls and clear documentation across your workstreams.
- Contribute to special projects, system enhancements, and ad hoc analysis as the business scales.
What we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Active CPA.
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, including substantial hands-on technical accounting work.
- Big Four or public accounting audit experience.
- Deep knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition, including multi-element arrangements, variable consideration, SSP analysis, and contract modifications.
- Experience with stock-based compensation accounting under ASC 718 and related equity administration workflows.
- Hands-on experience preparing or reviewing consolidated financial statements.
- Experience working with multinational companies, international subsidiaries, or multi-entity corporate structures.
- Working knowledge of the accounting considerations that come with operating across jurisdictions.
- Proven ability to research and apply FASB ASC guidance, evaluate complex accounting issues, and document well-supported conclusions in clear memos.
- Strong Excel skills, including experience managing and reconciling large data sets across multiple systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to make complex accounting concepts clear to senior leaders and cross-functional partners.
- Ability to operate independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
Bonus tacos if you have
- Experience helping a growing company build or expand its technical accounting function.
- Experience with international accounting matters such as foreign currency, intercompany arrangements, or cross-border entity structures.
- Experience supporting SOX readiness or strengthening financial reporting controls.

OUR USE OF AI IN HIRING
We use AI tools to help manage our recruitment process efficiently and fairly. Specifically:
- Ashby and Brainerr help us review inbound applications by surfacing candidates who best match the role requirements we've defined. This tool does not make hiring decisions; it helps our team prioritize which applications to review first.
- Granola takes notes during our interview calls so our team can focus on the conversation with you.
All hiring decisions are made by humans. Our team reviews applications, conducts interviews, and makes final selections. AI tools assist us but never replace human judgment, and these practices are conducted in compliance with applicable data protection, AI governance, and labor laws. Your data is not used to train AI models.
