Описание вакансии
Коротко о ролиWe’re looking for a Senior Product Builder to own the backend and architecture that let Hub manage a whole fleet of clusters. Your first focus will be the mechanism that sends access, secret, tenant and licence changes out to every connected cluster and brings deployments, health and audit records .
Responsibilities:
— Take over Hub's fleet propagation mechanism from the team building its first version, making it work for access, secrets, tenants, licences, and custom roles.
— Write concise design documents for foundational changes, get them reviewed by dependent teams, and implement tested, shipped code.
— Design system behavior for failure scenarios including offline clusters, partial failures, Hub outages, and cluster adoption or detachment.
— Build the path from clusters to Hub, starting with deployment inventory, health, audit records, and licence status.
— Design Hub's first event and webhook mechanism to enable admins and agents to react to changes without polling.
— Participate in pod rotations and Hub on-call duties, and assist other builders with backend work through reviews, guidelines, and contract tests.
Requirements:
— Experience building and running backend systems in production that other teams or customers depend on.
— Ability to take ownership of undefined problems, design solutions, plan, and deliver shipped code.
— Strong product judgment for technical users, communicating effectively with API users and making trade-offs.
— Clear and concise writing skills for asynchronous remote team collaboration.
— Focus on system behavior during failures, not just the happy path.
— Must have designed and shipped a control plane or similar system that pushes desired state to many targets.
— Knowledge of outbox or event-log patterns, idempotent apply, versioning, retries, and drift reconciliation.
— Senior backend engineering experience in Java, including API design, relational data models, and multi-tenant SaaS services.
— Hands-on experience with Helm and Kubernetes for self-managed installations.
— Expertise in software architecture and failure analysis, including partial failure, blast radius, and consistency trade-offs.
— Experience debugging production incidents in distributed systems and readiness for on-call duties.
— Experience shaping an API or platform as a product and writing design documents for other teams.
— Ability to gain agreement across teams without formal authority.
— Builds AI-first from written specifications and carefully checks AI output.
Nice to Haves:
— Experience with Kubernetes operators or GitOps tools such as Argo CD.
— Familiarity with OIDC, SCIM, permission models, secret managers, and licence systems.
— Experience with Camunda 8 or other workflow/orchestration engines.
— Frontend skills sufficient to build a thin UI on top of backend capabilities.
Benefits:
— Competitive, fair, and transparent compensation with location-based salary ranges.
— Annual Total Target Cash includes base salary plus 100% variable target where applicable.
— Equity offered through Virtual Stock Option Plan (VSOP) where applicable.
— Remote and flexible work environment with home office budget, co-working space support, and flexible time off.
— Opportunities for in-person connection through annual kickoffs, team offsites, and local gatherings.
— Health and wellbeing benefits including locally tailored healthcare, mental wellbeing support, and a Live Well Lifestyle Spending Account.
— Financial security benefits such as retirement and pension plans, life and disability insurance.
— Professional growth support with up to $/€/£1,000 per year for self-driven learning including courses, certifications, and books.
