adjoe builds the technologies behind mobile app growth and monetization, challenging the status quo of adtech by redefining how apps acquire users and generate revenue. Our two products, Playtime Arcade and adjoe Ads, sit at opposite ends of the mobile advertising spectrum: rewarded engagement and programmatic in-app advertising. Together they run on 13% of the world's smartphones, connecting advertisers, publishers, and hundreds of millions of users, with one goal: making mobile advertising work better for everyone in the ecosystem.
Next-Gen Machine Intelligence for Scalable Discovery & Engagement
The Data Science Research team builds foundational ML representations and advanced AI capabilities that enhance both Playtime and adjoe Ads. Operating as a horizontal deep-tech layer, the team leverages advanced AI and deep learning approaches—specifically generative approaches —to deliver critical systems such as high-dimensional user embeddings, general content understanding and sequential recommendation. These frameworks scale adjoe's products beyond standard industry limitations, utilizing behavioral and transactional data from over 770 million users.
The team operates at the intersection of bleeding-edge R&D and high-scale production engineering, acting as the company’s internal science bar raiser and primary consulting layer for complex ML bottlenecks. The stack is optimized for deep learning and heavy data throughput: PyTorch and [Ray/Hugging Face] for training and fine-tuning foundation models, Trino and Athena for querying massive user-behavior data lakes, and dedicated GPU infrastructure for heavy workloads. The full lifecycle of these AI capabilities is owned by the team—from academic paper translation and offline prototyping to deploying core algorithmic frameworks built to sustain high-throughput, realtime production environments.
Your Mission & Who We Are Looking For:
- PhD or equivalent research depth, with a production track record. You have a PhD in CS, Statistics, Math, or Physics, or an MSc with extensive industry research, and publications in top-tier venues like SIGIR, KDD, NeurIPS, or ICLR. You've spent 4+ years building large-scale recommender systems in high-throughput environments: AdTech, e-commerce, or social.
- You translate research into production, not just prototypes. You distill SOTA research into robust, production-ready code optimized for sub-millisecond latency. At adjoe, that means architecting multi-stage recommendation pipelines, Generative Retrieval, Deep Ranking, and Re-ranking, serving millions of requests across a stack built on 770 million users' behavioral data.
- Deep expertise in PyTorch and large-scale model optimization. You have hands-on experience with high-concurrency optimization, model quantization, and distillation, the engineering side of getting large generative models to run under extreme production constraints, not just in research environments.
- Content understanding and embeddings are core to your work. You research and develop information-rich user and ad embeddings using unsupervised and generative approaches, directly improving the quality of predictions across both Playtime and adjoe Ads.
- Raises the technical bar around them. You lead architectural debates, mentor junior scientists, and drive the team's research direction without needing a roadmap handed to you.
🌎 We welcome applications from talent worldwide and provide relocation support to Hamburg, Germany for those ready to join our team.
What’s in It for You?
At adjoe, you’re not here to just close JIRA tickets, you’re helping build the infrastructure behind one of the most impactful platforms in adtech. The systems you work on will reach hundreds of millions of users and power billions of decisions every day.
- Go Big. Own projects with impact on 770M users and push adtech boundaries.
- Move Fast. Ship solutions multiple times a day, learn from results, and keep momentum.
- Be Direct. Solve problems openly and collaborate across teams.
- Thrive Together. Grow with a diverse, global team of people from over 40 different countries that learn from each other.
- Have Fun. Celebrate wins, enjoy daily victories, and bring your energy.
We welcome applications from people who will contribute to the diversity of our company.

What You May Work On
This is a broad hiring track rather than a single fixed role. Your responsibilities will be matched to your strengths, experience, and interests, and may include one or more of the following:
Design, build, and evolve onchain data infrastructure, data services, or business systems, taking ownership of the quality and outcomes of critical modules.
Build multi-chain ingestion, real-time and batch computation, data governance, search, storage, and serving capabilities, continuously improving data accuracy, completeness, and freshness.

What We Value Most
Hunger — Curiosity and Drive
You stay curious about AI, Web3, emerging technologies, and new business domains, and can learn unfamiliar areas quickly.
You do not wait for instructions when facing a problem; you proactively understand the context, identify solutions, and drive execution.
You go beyond completing assigned tasks and continue to ask about outcomes, user value, and opportunities for improvement.
Cognition — Cognitive Ability and Judgment
You can quickly understand complex technical and business problems, build a structured mental model, and identify the core issue and key trade-offs.
When information is incomplete or the situation is uncertain, you can form sound judgments based on facts and logical reasoning.
You can compare the value, cost, risk, and long-term impact of different options, clearly explain your rationale, and turn decisions into executable plans and results.
What We Are Looking For
Strong computer science fundamentals and coding ability in at least one mainstream programming language, such as Java, Go, Python, or C++.
Clear logical thinking and strong problem decomposition skills, with the ability to independently solve complex technical or business problems.
Hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas:
Backend and distributed systems;
Real-time or batch data processing, data platforms, search, and storage;
High-concurrency, high-availability systems, and reliability engineering;

A strong sense of ownership and accountability, with the ability to drive initiatives through to measurable outcomes.
Open, direct, and effective communication, with a willingness to solve problems across teams.
Strong learning ability and growth potential. We value solid engineering fundamentals, but do not use mastery of one specific framework or middleware stack as the sole hiring criterion.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Web3, public blockchains, onchain data, wallets, DEXs, blockchain explorers, or smart contracts.
Familiarity with one or more blockchain technology models, such as EVM, UTXO, or Move.
Experience with large-scale data processing, stream processing, databases, messaging systems, caching, or search systems.
Experience in fintech, risk control, security, e-commerce, advertising, recommendation systems, or other complex internet businesses.
Proven examples of using AI tools to solve real problems and turning solutions into engineered or scalable capabilities.
Ability to work in English, or experience building global and multi-region systems.
Demonstrated technical judgment, business impact, or zero-to-one ownership in previous projects.
The Kind of Candidate We Hope to Meet
You can clearly explain the most complex problem you have solved, how you formed your judgment, and how you drove the solution to completion.
You have one or more clear strengths. We do not expect experience in every area, but we value meaningful depth or exceptional potential in at least one direction.
You are willing to understand users and business context instead of passively receiving requirements.
You are open to unfamiliar domains and can use AI and team collaboration to close knowledge gaps quickly.
You remain constructive in changing or uncertain environments and can keep moving work forward.
Why Join Us
Build core onchain data infrastructure for OKX Web3, directly supporting global users and multiple strategic businesses.
Work deeply with diverse blockchain technologies, onchain data systems, and real-world Web3 use cases.

Manage household budgets, staffing, maintenance schedules, and standards of service across all properties
Ensure consistency of service levels and protocols whether the CEO is in residence or traveling

Oversee contractors, designers, architects, and project budgets to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to specification
Act as the CEO's representative in all major renovation decisions

Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, translating vision into coordinated execution across all personal domains
Prioritize competing demands across households, teams, and geographies, exercising sound judgment on the CEO's behalf
Represent the CEO in meetings and decisions where direct principal involvement is not required
Maintain absolute discretion and confidentiality regarding all personal, financial, and family matters

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
We're hiring a strategist to join the Policy Campaigns team within Anthropic's Public Policy team. The Policy Campaigns team turns the company's policy priorities into active campaigns: research and polling, messaging, coalitions, paid media, and external execution. We're hiring a strategist to develop and execute paid media campaign strategy, manage agencies, and measure the success of our advocacy campaigns in the US and in priority markets abroad.
This is a strategy and program management role. You'll decide what a campaign needs to accomplish, who needs to hear from us, which messages and tactics will move them, and then implement accordingly. Anthropic works on many policy issues at once, across many markets, and you'll need to understand the full set of issues and find the right cross-cutting approaches to advance our goals. You'll direct the agencies that produce and place the work, and bring Policy, Communications, Marketing, Public Affairs, and Legal to agreement on tight legislative timelines.
The role also carries a substantial project management load. You'll run several campaigns at once, across time zones and agencies, and keep each one on schedule and on budget. You'll report to the Head of Policy Campaigns.
Key responsibilities
Design paid and digital campaign strategies for legislative and policy goals, including objectives, audiences, messaging, tactics, phasing, and budget
Develop campaign messaging and tactics with the Campaigns team, executives, Public Affairs, and Communications, and make sure paid media carries the core message
Spot where a campaign could conflict with Anthropic's other policy, commercial, or international priorities, and resolve those tensions before launch
Direct creative and media-buying agencies: set strategy and briefs, scopes and budgets, hold timelines, and hold the work to a high standard
Run several campaigns at once across time zones and agencies: own the timelines, workplans, budgets, and status reporting, and keep partners in the US and abroad aligned
Build rapid response capabilities with Policy, Marketing, Legal, and Communications so campaigns can respond quickly in changing environments
Set success measures before launch, report results plainly, and adjust strategy based on what works
Work cross-functionally to find the stories and moments that make policy arguments concrete for policymakers and opinion formers
Minimum qualifications
Experience running digital content and paid media for a corporate affairs team, political campaign, advocacy organization, public affairs firm, or issue campaign, including owning a media budget
Experience managing creative and media-buying agencies, including briefs, scopes, budgets, and performance reviews
Experience running campaigns aimed at policymakers, key opinion formers, or other influential audiences
Experience managing several campaigns or projects at once, with multiple agencies and stakeholders in different time zones
Experience building campaign reporting in spreadsheets or dashboards
Preferred qualifications
Experience managing state or federal legislative campaigns
Experience running campaigns inside a large organization or coalition with competing priorities
Working knowledge of AI safety and technology policy issues
Experience running campaigns in markets outside the US
Hands-on familiarity with ad platforms and targeting, such as Meta, LinkedIn, and programmatic buying
The annual compensation range for this role is listed below.
For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.
Annual Salary:
$265,000
—
$295,000 USD
Logistics
Minimum education:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
Required field of study:
A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
Minimum years of experience:
Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position
Location-based hybrid policy:
Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
Visa sponsorship:
We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification.
Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.
Your safety matters to us.
To protect yourself from potential scams, remember that Anthropic recruiters only contact you from @anthropic.com email addresses. In some cases, we may partner with vetted recruiting agencies who will identify themselves as working on behalf of Anthropic. Be cautious of emails from other domains. Legitimate Anthropic recruiters will never ask for money, fees, or banking information before your first day. If you're ever unsure about a communication, don't click any links—visit

directly for confirmed position openings.
How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.
