ABOUT RAMP
Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $275B in annualized spend flows in and out of 85,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.
The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.
We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.

This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring the ability to enhance and implement batch and real-time data solutions already in progress, mentor other team members, and deliver both business and technical objectives through ambiguity and uncertainty.
This is an opportunity to shape the future of our data ecosystem. You’ll work with a passionate team and modern technologies to drive innovation that impacts the entire organization. Adventurous means that you’re not afraid to dive into uncharted technical territory and get your own hands dirty, while supporting and driving delivery of complex features through a dedicated Scrum team. Passionate means that you’re eager to learn and share knowledge that drives the team forward, and excited to be part of a movement that is positively impacting the lives of seniors and their caregivers all over North America.

-Engineer and optimize data pipelines using solutions like Apache Hudi, Apache Trino, Azure ADLS
-Collaborate cross-functionally with product, analytics, and AI teams to ensure data is a strategic asset
-Advance ongoing modernization efforts, deepening adoption of event-driven architectures and cloud-native technologies
-Drive adoption of best practices in data governance, observability, and performance tuning for data workloads
-Embed data quality in processing pipelines by defining schema contracts, implementing transformation tests and data assertions, enforcing backward-compatible schema evolution, and automating checks for freshness, completeness, and accuracy across batch and streaming paths before production deployment
-Establish robust observability for data pipelines by implementing metrics, logging, and distributed tracing for streaming jobs, defining SLAs and SLOs for latency and throughput, and integrating alerting and dashboards to enable proactive monitoring and rapid incident response
-Foster a culture of quality through peer reviews, providing constructive feedback and seeking input on your own work
What qualifications we’re looking for:
-Principal Software Data Engineer with at least 10 years of professional experience in software or data engineering, including a minimum of 4 years focused on data pipelines (batch and streaming)
-Proven experience driving technical direction and mentoring engineers while delivering complex, high-scale solutions as a hands-on contributor
-Strong understanding of event-driven architectures and distributed systems, with hands-on experience implementing resilient, low-latency pipelines
-Practical experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerized deployments for data workloads
-Fluency in data quality practices and CI/CD integration, including schema management, automated testing, and validation frameworks (e.g., dbt, Great Expectations)
-Operational excellence in observability, with experience implementing metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting for data pipelines using modern tools
-Solid foundation in data governance and performance optimization, ensuring reliability and scalability across batch and streaming environments
-Proven experience with Lakehouse architectures and related technologies, including Apache Hudi, Azure ADLS Gen2, HDFS, and other big data technologies (Trino, Databricks, Spark)

About Aura by Hex Trust
Aura by Hex Trust is the
private wealth business
of Hex Trust. We bring institutional-grade digital asset infrastructure - custody, trading, yield, structured products - to high net worth (HNW) individuals and family offices, delivered through a Relationship Manager–led model backed by an easy-to-use app.
The wealth opportunity in digital assets is one of the most underserved segments in the industry. HNW clients want exposure but lack a trusted, regulated, full-service partner. Aura fills that gap, combining the security and licensing of Hex Trust with the personal service private clients expect.
About Hex Trust
Hex Trust is a fully-licensed digital asset financial institution building the infrastructure institutions use to operate in crypto. Custody, staking, capital markets, investment solutions, payments, fiat ramping, RWAs, and tokenization — all on one regulated platform.
Founded in 2018, we're licensed across multiple jurisdictions (HK, SG, Dubai, SVG). As institutional capital moves into crypto and the RWA and payments narratives accelerate, we're one of the few players who can serve institutions as a fully-regulated, one-stop-shop partner. We serve 600+ institutional clients globally: funds, family offices, banks, foundations, token issuers, payment firms, OTC desks, and corporates.
We're well-capitalized, growing consistently, and built on a sustainable model. We operate 24/7 from hubs in Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai, and Vietnam.
You'll work alongside a senior commercial team, own real institutional relationships, and get exposure to the most active parts of the market. We're scaling fast. If you want to sell into the institutional side of crypto at a firm that's actually licensed to do it, this is the place.
Position Summary
We offer an attractive, formula-based, uncapped bonus structure tied directly to revenue, paid quarterly.
As a Relationship Manager at Aura, you'll originate and grow your own book of HNW and family office clients on a fresh platform. You'll have direct access to the full Hex Trust group - institutional products, regulated infrastructure, and senior leadership - and real influence over product direction as we scale.
This is an early-stage hire. If you're an experienced wealth or sales professional looking to build something rather than inherit it, this is the seat.
Duties & Responsibilities
Establish and grow long-term relationships with HNW clients , family offices, and private wealth channels, contributing to increased AUM, trading volume, and product adoption
Cultivate and expand partnerships with relevant distribution partners and intermediaries to further drive growth in AUM.
Lead prospect and client meetings, clearly articulating Hex Trust’s value proposition and capturing feedback for continuous improvement.
Identify cross-selling opportunities across trading, structured products, and lending solutions to deepen client engagement.
Work with Marketing Team to identify and support activities designed to attract and activate client base
Oversee smooth onboarding and ongoing relationship management in collaboration with compliance, legal, and operations.
Deliver best-in-class, white-glove service—positioning Hex Trust as a trusted partner for private clients and family offices in digital assets.
KPIs: No. of clients, Revenue, Assets on Platform, Net New Money
Requirements
5–15 years of experience in relationship management, private banking, wealth management, and/or institutional/crypto financial services.
Demonstrated success in growing AUM and managing sophisticated private clients or family office accounts.
Strong knowledge of financial markets and investment products; digital asset familiarity required.
Proven ability to deliver high-touch, client-first service in a demanding environment.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with credibility in front of senior stakeholders.
Entrepreneurial, adaptable, and proactive in identifying solutions and opportunities.
Fluency in English required; additional languages (e.g., Mandarin, Arabic) are highly valued.
Candidates who do not tick all the boxes are still encouraged to apply, those with less experience will still be considered for the position but with relevant adjustments to seniority.
Benefits
As one of the leading Web3 innovators,
Hex Trust
offers a front-row seat in the ever-changing blockchain & crypto industry. We genuinely believe that people are our greatest asset, and invest heavily so they’re best prepared to support our mission to unlock ownership in decentralized markets! You will be joining a company that is always committed to creating a supportive & inclusive environment that promotes personal and professional growth that furthers your success and drives innovation, collaboration, and passion in the blockchain space.
