About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
Anthropic's consulting and systems integration partners now sell and deliver Claude work at growing volume, and selling alongside partners is working. What matters next is delivery: whether the partner completes the work, whether the customer's Claude usage grows and holds, and whether the outcome is good enough that the customer asks for that partner again.
The Partner Success Lead owns that outcome. You will hold a book of in-flight customer engagements across a set of managed partners in North America. From the day our Partner Delivery program matches a customer engagement to a partner in your book, you own it to a completed outcome: the work finishes on scope, the customer's Claude usage grows, and a stalled engagement gets diagnosed and unblocked before the customer disengages. You wake up every day on one question: what is each partner in my book doing, and is the work getting done.
Key responsibilities:
Own every customer engagement in your book from partner match to completed outcome. Know the state of each one every week: scope, timeline, blockers, and the customer's Claude usage trend.
Run the weekly delivery review across your book, and bring stalled or at-risk engagements to the weekly at-risk account review with a diagnosis, an owner, and a specific ask rather than a status list.
Unblocking. Partner capacity, scope creep, customer readiness, product questions, deal-registration conflicts, and customer dissatisfaction with partner work: get each issue to the right internal team and stay on it through resolution.
Own delivery quality and consumption across your book. Track engagements completed on time, time from match to completion, delivered consumption and weekly active use on the customer accounts your partners serve, and the accounts trending toward at-risk.
Build senior relationships with each managed partner's practice and delivery leadership. Together with the Partner Account Manager and other Anthropic counterparts, establish the executive-level trust that lets you ask a partner to restaff, escalate, or invest — and be taken seriously — when an engagement needs it.
Build each partner's Claude practice as the compounding work: certified bench depth, one repeatable offering in a chosen industry lane, and a published customer story from each completed engagement, so the next engagement needs less from you.
Turn what works into methodology. Convert the moves you prove in your book into named, reusable best practices — engagement review packs, unblocking plays, practice-building guides — written clearly enough to be shared at scale across partners, the Partner Success team, and the contract delivery team running the same loop.
Run the quarterly practice review with each managed partner's alliance and delivery leads: joint goals on completed customer engagements, customer adoption, certified practitioners, references, and industry positioning.
Present and persuade across audiences. Deliver partner executive briefings, practitioner enablement sessions, and internal reviews with equal command — this role is regularly the voice of Partner Success in front of a partner's leadership, a delivery team, a customer, or Anthropic's own leadership.
Steward funding requests from partners in your book. Recommend for or against co-investment and program funding requests against a stated outcome, and reconcile against milestones. The bar is outcomes, not consultant hours.
Work the handoffs cleanly: from Partner Sales when a partner deal closes, and from the Partner Delivery program when an engagement is matched to a partner in your book. Coordinate with the Partner Account Manager on any strategic partner that has one, with Customer Success Managers on customer-side account health, and with Anthropic's direct sales field on joint accounts.
Instrument your book and know its numbers: engagements in flight and completed, stall rate and days to unblock, delivered consumption per partner, certified practitioner counts, and partner health trajectory.
Run your book Claude-first. Telemetry drafts the diagnosis; you validate it and act. Claude drafts your review packs, status notes, and escalation briefs; you own the judgment, the exceptions, and the unblocking. Feed what you see in the field back into the packages, playbooks, tier rules, and health rubric the team runs on.
Minimum qualifications:
Experience owning a high-volume book of concurrent customer engagements, projects, or accounts (roughly 10 to 30 at a time) to completed outcomes, in a partner success, customer success, delivery management, or technical account management role.
Ability and appetite to build structure, clarity, and programmatic motions out of in-flight work, while delivering engagement by engagement. You have written something down — a review format, a checklist, a play — that others ran without you, and you want to do more of that; growing that into the operating playbook a wider team runs is the senior end of this role, not the entry bar. This role scales by what you write down, not by added hours.
Track record of a number tied to completed work and customer behavior (on-time delivery, adoption, retention, consumption, expansion) rather than contract signature, and an operating rhythm you built to hit it.
Judgment on delivery quality: you can review a partner's engagement plan or scope and tell whether it will finish on time and produce usage, and you ask the follow-up question that surfaces the real risk.
Escalation and unblocking judgment across a matrix (partner, customer, direct sales, customer success, product): you know which stall belongs to whom, you get help fast, and you stay engaged to resolution.
A convincing speaker and presenter to all kinds of audiences: partner executives, delivery practitioners, customers, and internal leadership. You can carry a quarterly practice review, an enablement session, and an executive escalation in the same week and land each one.
Deep understanding of how customer success works in a usage-based business; you have held a number tied to customer behavior and can read a consumption trend and act on it.
Enough technical fluency to be credible in a delivery review. You do not need to write code, but you can follow a partner architect's walkthrough of a real Claude engagement and ask the substantive second question.
Active daily use of Claude or another large language model as part of how you work: preparing reviews, drafting account plans, and analyzing your book. We will ask you to walk us through a recent deliverable.
Preferred qualifications:
5 to 8 years working with consulting and systems integration partners, or in delivery-facing customer success at a software company, cloud platform, or partner-led business.
Direct experience with systems integrators (global firms such as Accenture, Deloitte, Capgemini, Infosys, TCS, or Wipro, or regional and boutique firms) and an understanding of how their delivery practices are staffed and run.
Experience running at-risk or red account reviews and turning stalled work around.
Experience anchoring a surge team: setting the playbook and the review pack that a group of contract or offshore delivery coordinators ran, and holding the quality bar across them.
Depth in a specific industry vertical (financial services, healthcare, public sector, retail, or manufacturing) where you have carried a book of partners or customers.
Experience stewarding co-investment funding or market development funding against specific outcomes, with formed opinions about what works and what does not.
Experience running quarterly business reviews with consulting firm practice leads, and a sense of what makes them productive rather than ceremonial.
Experience on a new team where the operating model was being written while you ran the book, and you shipped both.

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

Our Partner Experience team is building an AI-native operating model. We already run a growing set of partner-facing systems: a partner portal, CRM workflows, enablement and certification platforms, and the trackers that connect them. The systems lead on our team owns that foundation — the portal, the data model, and the integrations that keep partner records accurate and flowing.
This role is the other half of that build. As our AI Operations Engineer, you'll design, build, and run the agentic workflows that sit on top of those systems: Claude-powered agents and automations that triage partner applications, draft and send partner communications, sync data across tools, surface deal and enablement signals, and take routine operational work off the team entirely. Where the systems lead builds the rails, you build what runs on them.
This is a builder role, not an analyst role. You'll ship working automations weekly, own them in production, and continuously expand what the team can do without adding headcount.
Key responsibilities:
Design and build agentic workflows (using Claude, MCP connectors, and API integrations) that automate core partner experience operations: application triage, onboarding, deal registration, certification tracking, partner communications, and reporting
Partner closely with our systems lead to integrate these workflows with the partner portal, CRM, enablement stack, finance systems, and database systems — consuming and writing back to the systems of record rather than creating shadow processes
Turn recurring manual work into reliable, monitored automations: define the workflow, build it, test it against real cases, add guardrails and human-in-the-loop checkpoints where decisions carry risk, and document how it runs
Own the operational health of what you ship: error handling, edge cases, escalation paths, and iteration when partner processes change
Prototype fast with the team: sit with partner managers, find the highest-friction workflows, and get a working v1 in front of them in days, not quarters
Establish reusable patterns (skills, prompts, connectors, playbooks) so each new workflow is faster to build than the last, and teach the broader team to self-serve on the simple ones
Minimum qualifications:
Hands-on experience building with LLMs and agentic tooling: prompt and workflow design, tool/function calling, MCP or comparable integration frameworks, and evaluating agent output quality
Experience working across APIs and business systems — CRMs (e.g., Salesforce), PRM/partner portals, LMS/certification platforms, spreadsheet-based tools, Slack, and email — and scripting the glue between them in Python or JavaScript
Strong judgment about automation risk: knowing which steps an agent can own outright, which need a human checkpoint, and how to design for graceful failure
Process instincts: ability to look at a messy manual workflow, find the actual bottleneck, and redesign it rather than just automating it as-is
Clear written communication; documents what you build so it outlives you
Preferred qualifications:
5+ years in operations engineering, solutions engineering, business systems, RevOps, or a similar build-heavy role, ideally supporting a partner, sales, or customer success organization
Experience in partner/channel operations specifically (deal registration, MDF/co-sell programs, partner tiering, certification pipelines)
Experience shipping internal AI tools or automations that are still running in production today
Familiarity with the Claude API, Claude Code, or agent frameworks; building custom MCP servers is a plus

Anthropic is seeking an experienced Customer Programs Manager to build the operational foundation that allows our customer marketing engine to scale. As our advocacy and co-marketing programs grow across startups, digital-native businesses, and enterprise accounts, we need someone who can turn our scaled co-marketing program into a well-instrumented, repeatable and measurable system. You'll deploy resources and capital to create compelling customer stories across formats, and amplify them across both bespoke partnerships and agency-run campaigns. You’ll also own the broader customer marketing intake process and its tooling, and the system of record for how customers participate across advocacy and co-marketing.
You'll work closely with Sales, Partnerships, Marketing, Finance, and Brand, reconciling co-marketing spend each quarter, briefing agencies on which stories we want to tell, and partnering with Marketing Ops and Data Science to build the measurement framework we use to report back to leadership on impact. You'll help shape how a rapidly growing function operates, at a moment when customer proof is one of the most powerful levers we have for building trust in beneficial AI.
Key responsibilities:
Own the investment behind our customer co-marketing programs, covering allocation tracking, spend pacing, agency coordination, and quarterly budget reconciliation across a rotating cohort of customer accounts
Develop and execute co-marketing plans with participating customers that grow Claude adoption and the customer's own reach, coordinating with Growth Marketing on campaign strategy.
Run the always-on scaled co-marketing motion, co-producing high-quality creative assets with a rotating cohort of customers and deploying agency partners to amplify them as paid campaigns on the customer's own channels
Partner with Customer Marketing, Sales, and Partnerships to decide which customers we work with and build the criteria that keep those decisions consistent
Own the customer marketing intake process and its tooling, keeping it the system of record and building the playbooks that keep it consistent as we scale, partnering with Customer Marketing segment leads who own triage and prioritization for their segments
Define how we measure the impact of our customer marketing investments, working with Marketing Ops and Data Science, and use that measurement to shape investment decisions with leadership
Report back to participating customers on what their participation returned, measured on the outcomes they care about, like reach, engagement, and new customer acquisition
Use Claude as a core part of your operational toolkit — building skills, automating intake and triage, and finding leverage wherever a process can be made faster or smarter for the Customer Marketing team

Managed co-marketing growth or partner investment programs and are comfortable with the reconciliation, forecasting, agency coordination, and stakeholder reporting that comes with it
Managed agencies as a working partner, developing the brief, directing the work, and holding the quality bar on co-branded creative
Built joint marketing plans with partners or customers that served their goals as much as your own
Working knowledge of demand generation and paid social and the ability to optimize campaigns
Experience defining how a program gets measured and proving its impact, both to your own leadership and back to the customer in the terms they care about
Existing fluency with Claude, and the instinct to reach for it to automate, analyze, and scale your own work
Comfort building in a fast-moving environment where the program, the budget, and the priorities are all still taking shape
Preferred qualifications
7+ years in B2B SaaS marketing, including at least 3 years in customer marketing. Partner marketing or program management experience is a strong plus.
Experience operating co-marketing or partner marketing programs at a developer-focused or AI/ML company
Background in revenue operations or marketing analytics, and hands-on comfort in Salesforce and BI tooling
Experience proving incremental program impact against a comparison group rather than reporting activity
Experience standing up or owning the tooling behind a marketing program — intake forms, workflow automation, dashboards, or a customer participation database
Comfort working closely with Sales teams and an understanding of how customer marketing supports pipeline and retention

Anthropic's community spans developers building new products, individual Claude users, and practitioners and buyers inside enterprise accounts — from the staff engineer using Claude Code to C-Suite decision-makers. We're hiring a Head of Community to turn our current set of programs into a function that helps millions of people build real skills with Claude, measurably growing retained users and product adoption.
You'll lead and grow a global team that covers ambassadors programs, regional community leads, and enterprise champion programs. Your job is to give this team a sharp operating model and a measurement framework that ladders our initiatives to business outcomes, so users can get the most out of Claude. You'll build community across audiences, seniority levels, functions, and roles: enterprise buyers and executive sponsors, developers and technical practitioners, and the knowledge workers in between. This role sits at the intersection of Product, Sales, PMM, Brand, and Comms.
Key responsibilities
Own the global community strategy and operating model: the audience thesis, the portfolio of programs, and what's built centrally vs. run in-region
Lead, coach, and scale a global team of program and regional owners; hire the gaps, set the bar, and develop community-native operators
Define the measurement framework that replaces activity metrics: partner with Product and Data Science to define success metrics and segment the base (non-user → occasional → high-value daily) — with recurring retained users and product adoption as the top-line outcomes
Build community across the full range of audiences and seniority levels, with programs and voice tuned to each without fragmenting the experience
Connect bottoms-up adoption to enterprise expansion: architect the champions, train-the-trainer, and partner ecosystem motions that turn power users inside accounts into org-wide adoption, and integrate them into how Sales and CS run strategic account plans
Bring training, certification, enablement, and community help together into one engine that scales through champions and partners — so users experience a single path to skill-building with Claude
Partner tightly with Brand and Comms to keep sentiment and awareness healthy: define where community shows up in Anthropic's brand and how we best serve our users
Align community strategy proactively with product direction, launches, and pricing & packaging — owning community's job pre-launch, at launch, and post-launch, and proving it drives value for our users
Minimum qualifications
Have built and led a community or customer advocacy function at a company where community was a growth lever, not a cost center — and can point to the retention, adoption, or expansion outcomes it drove
Have led and developed a distributed team of program owners and regional leads accountable for commercial impact
Think in funnels and segments as naturally as you think in programs: you're comfortable putting your name on a metric in a QBR and defending how community moved it
Have connected self-serve, bottoms-up adoption inside large accounts to enterprise expansion, and can articulate exactly where community sits in that motion
Can flex your playbook across very different audiences — a technical, API-first developer community and an enterprise executive buyer community are different jobs, and you've done versions of both
Operate as an integrated marketer: you've worked day-to-day with cross-functional teams and have strong opinions about how community stays customer-first
Are comfortable partnering with Product and Data Science to define usage quality, instrument it, and hold your team to it
Write and communicate clearly, hold a room with both a Staff engineer and a CIO, and are energized by ambiguity and building at speed
Preferred qualifications
Run community or advocacy at a company operating both a PLG / self-serve motion and an enterprise sales motion at the same time
Built or led a recognized champions, ambassadors, or advocacy program at a company known for the model
Experience with developer tools, infrastructure, or AI products, and credibility with technical audiences
Built the measurement plumbing for a community function before including cohorting, attribution, and usage segmentation
International experience standing up or scaling community in-region (EMEA, Japan/APAC) with a clear philosophy on what runs centrally vs. locally
A track record of listening to communities and building user trust through hard moments alongside a Comms team
Background spanning more than one of: community, customer marketing, developer relations, customer education/enablement, or growth

ABOUT RAMP
Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $275B in annualized spend flows in and out of 85,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.
The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.
We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.
The median Ramp customer saves 7.5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.
If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Ramp's Brand team ships a high volume of ambitious creative across product launches, growth, events, customer marketing, and brand awareness. As the work has scaled, so has the need for a strong operating system around it.
We're hiring a Director of Brand Operations to build that operating system: the processes, milestones, and cross-functional coordination that let a world-class creative team do its best work and ship fast. This is an operations role focused on how the work gets done; it is not a traditional production-management role.
You'll be the operator who protects creatives from organizational swirl, sets clear ways of working, and fixes cross-functional breakdowns upstream so great ideas reach the world quickly.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Own and build the operating system for how Brand's creative gets produced.
- Build the brand operating system: the processes, milestones, and ways of working that turn creative direction into shipped work.
- Diagnose and fix bottlenecks across functions. Find where work stalls, trace it to the source, and remove the limiting factor wherever it lives.
- Protect creatives from org swirl by absorbing cross-functional complexity so the team stays focused on the work.
- Automate with AI: use AI to streamline how work flows and cut manual overhead across the operation (intake, triage, status, reporting, handoffs).
- Partner with the creative leads so operations and creative are complementary, freeing creative leads to focus on creative.
- Be Brand's ambassador to the rest of Ramp: scope incoming work and pull Brand into projects early, at the right time.
WHAT YOU NEED
- Exceptional organization: you hold 20+ live workstreams and keep everyone on track
- A cross-functional root-cause instinct: you can walk into a tangled, multi-team workflow, explain why it's slow, and fix it. This is the most important capability for the role.
- A track record of building systems and automation: you've taken an operation from messy to repeatable and use tooling and AI to compress cycle time.
- A metrics-driven approach: you instrument delivery so progress is clear and provable.
- Hands-on, lean leadership: you lift both the operation and the people in it.
- A bias for better ways of working: you remove limiting factors and speed up delivery without adding process for its own sake.
- An operator-first profile: we care more about someone who can diagnose and fix how work flows than about a creative, production, or marketing pedigree. Strong candidates come from product ops, biz ops, GTM ops, finance ops, or chief-of-staff backgrounds.
NICE TO HAVES
- Experience scaling an in-house creative or content studio in a high-growth environment.
- Experience building AI-assisted operational workflows.
BENEFITS AVAILABLE TO ALL FULL-TIME RAMP EMPLOYEES (GLOBAL)
- Flexible PTO
- Centralized home-office equipment ordering
- Health and wellness stipend
- Budget for intra-office travel
- Weekly coffee stipend
UNITED STATES
- 100% medical, dental & vision insurance coverage for you, with partial coverage for dependents

- Parental leave: up to 16 weeks (birthing + bonding) or 8 weeks (bonding only) at 100% pay
- Pet insurance
- In-office perks: lunch, snacks, drinks, and more
- Relocation expense coverage to NYC or SF (if needed)
CANADA
- Group medical, dental, and vision coverage through Sun Life
- Life, AD&D, and disability coverage
- Fertility drug coverage (up to $4,000 lifetime)

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
Anthropic is seeking a Software Engineer to help build the technical foundation for how Anthropic educates customers and enterprises at scale, and to shape what that even means when AI is the delivery mechanism, not just the subject being taught.
Your work will define how millions of people experience learning about Claude: how content is served and adapted in real time, how assessments respond to what a learner actually understands, how credentialing systems verify genuine competence rather than course completion, and how the entire platform evolves as fast as the product it teaches. You'll build the infrastructure that makes AI-native education real — not as a concept, but as a working system that people interact with every day.
You’ll own the technical vision for our AI-driven educational experience: the platform layer, enterprise readiness features, the data architecture, the AI-augmented pipelines, the integrations, and the delivery systems. You'll work with a handful of highly technical educational collaborators to own the technical vision and execution for how Anthropic’s education team delivers educational experiences at scale, and you'll build the AI-augmented pipelines and platform capabilities that let a small team of educators operate with reach and responsiveness that would otherwise require an organization ten times larger.
This is an engineering role for someone who genuinely cares about how people learn. You'll make platform decisions that are deeply educational, and you need the judgment to make those decisions well, not just implement someone else's spec. You'll interface closely with Anthropic's security, infrastructure, and data teams, and you'll partner with trainers and educators on the GTM, devrel, and education teams who will be your primary stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Architect and own Anthropic’s enterprise ready education platform and infrastructure — authentication/SSO, learner data models, content delivery, credentialing, and progress tracking — designed for scale, AI-forward features, and reliability from day one
Own the technical vision for how Anthropic delivers AI-driven educational experiences and shaping what's possible, not just building what's requested. You’ll determine what to build, what to extend, and what to replace as needs evolve
Build AI-augmented pipelines for content generation, real-time adaptation, assessment delivery, and quality assurance — working closely with the education team to understand what these systems need to do pedagogically
Design platform capabilities that enable genuinely new kinds of empowering learning experiences — adaptive paths, competency-based progression, AI-evaluated demonstrations of skill — not just digital versions of traditional courses
Interface with Anthropic's security, infrastructure, and data teams to ensure education systems meet organizational standards and integrate cleanly with existing architecture
Build platform abstractions that let non-engineers on the team configure, extend, and experiment with educational experiences without engineering bottlenecks
Make product-level decisions about how the platform works — you're shaping what the learning experience is, not just serving it
You may be a good fit if you have
7+ years of software engineering experience, with demonstrated ability to take a platform from zero to production at scale
Genuine passion for education — you think about how people learn, you have opinions about what educational technology should look like in an AI-native world, and you want to build it
A strong eye for quality educational content, with a sense of the complex systems that produce it
Full-stack engineering skills with particular strength in backend systems: databases, APIs, authentication, reliability, and infrastructure
Experience building and operating platforms that serve many concurrent users reliably
Comfort with ambiguity and ownership: you'll need to translate pedagogical intent into technical architecture without heavy specification
Experience interfacing with security and infrastructure teams to meet organizational requirements while maintaining development velocity
A working practice of using AI tools in your own engineering workflows — and genuine curiosity about how AI fundamentally changes what educational platforms can be
Strong candidates may also have
Experience building or significantly contributing to learning platforms, credentialing systems, or educational technology products
Background in or exposure to learning science, instructional design, or educational research
Experience with SSO/identity (SAML, OAuth), badging standards (Open Badges), or LTI integrations
Familiarity with building systems that incorporate LLM capabilities as core infrastructure
Prior work at a high-growth company where you built platform infrastructure that other teams depended on
Experience designing systems that non-technical users configure and operate

At ClickUp, we're building the future of work: the first truly converged AI workspace unifying tasks, docs, chat, calendar, and enterprise search, all supercharged by context-driven AI. We are an AI-native company. Every team member is expected to leverage AI daily, and we evaluate AI fluency as part of our hiring process. Join us and help redefine what's possible. 🚀
Come lead the Identity & Access Management Platform team (IAM Platform) — the foundational layer that decides who can see and do what across all of ClickUp. This team owns the authorization engine, the permission and role model, authentication (SSO, MFA, SCIM, OIDC), sharing primitives, audit logs, and the core data model and APIs that define how customers' work is organized and nested across the product — the foundation every other part of ClickUp is built on. It is backend-heavy, high-blast-radius work. As we move upmarket, this is some of the most important and security-sensitive work we do — enterprises decide whether they can trust us based on how precise, predictable, auditable, and manageable our access controls are.
We're looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead and grow this team. Your mandate is twofold: deliver an enterprise-grade access management platform — extensible, configuration-driven, correct and auditable by design — and build the team that will carry it, hiring and developing engineers as we invest heavily in enterprise. You'll raise the access, identity, and admin capabilities enterprises depend on to an enterprise-grade standard and keep them there, partnering with a Staff engineer on technical direction while you own delivery, people, and priorities.
Just as important: you'll run this team the way ClickUp runs — AI-native. We structure work so AI agents can read it, route it, roll it up, and report on it, so a small team amplified by agents operates at a different scale. There are no status-reporting meetings; agents keep status, progress, and health current from real signals, and reporting is self-serve. We want a manager who has already used AI flows to cut noise, eliminate busywork, and streamline how a team operates — and who will push that further.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead, grow, and develop the IAM Platform engineering team — own hiring, mentorship, performance, and career growth, and scale the team thoughtfully as we expand our enterprise investment.
- Own the delivery of ClickUp's enterprise-grade access management platform: the authorization engine and permission/role model, authentication (SSO via SAML/OIDC and social/Okta/Entra, MFA/2FA, session and token management), SCIM provisioning, sharing and access-control primitives, audit logs, OAuth and API token management, and the core data model and APIs that define how customers' work is organized across the product.
- Set the roadmap and priorities in partnership with product, security, and engineering leadership — elevating the access, identity, and admin capabilities enterprises depend on to an enterprise-grade standard and keeping them there.
- Run an AI-native team: structure the work so agents can route, scope, and report on it; use AI flows to remove status meetings and manual reporting, reduce noise, and let a small team operate at scale. Continuously raise the bar on how the team leverages AI end-to-end.
- Partner with enterprise customers, GTM, and security teams on access-control and identity requirements, and represent ClickUp credibly in enterprise security and architecture reviews.
- Own operational excellence for high-blast-radius services: a healthy on-call rotation, safe migrations, reliability, and a clear security boundary where the server remains the source of truth.
- Uphold a high engineering bar — design and code review, testing, performance, and security-by-design — for the most security-critical area of the product.
- Collaborate across backend, frontend, platform, product, design, and infosec to ship coherent access experiences on top of the platform.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience building production SaaS, with 3+ years managing engineering teams (including senior engineers).
- Identity and access management experience is required — hands-on background delivering authentication and authorization systems: OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, JWTs, MFA/2FA, enterprise SSO, SCIM, and RBAC/permission and role models, ideally in a multi-tenant environment.
- A proven ability to use AI tools and agentic workflows to reduce noise and streamline how a team works — automating reporting, triage, and status, and freeing engineers to focus on building.
- Experience delivering enterprise-grade SaaS at scale, and working directly with enterprise customers and their security, compliance, and administrative requirements.
- A track record of building and scaling high-performing engineering teams — hiring, growing, and retaining strong engineers.
- Enough technical depth to lead architecture discussions, make sound trade-offs on high-blast-radius systems, and hold a high bar without being the sole implementer.
- A security-conscious mindset: you design access control precisely, treat the server as the source of truth, and think about correctness, auditability, and blast radius by default.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills across engineering, product, design, and security.
- Daily fluency with AI tools in your own workflow.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience owning IAM or authorization at scale — millions of users, multi-tenant, or workspace-scoped identity and token models.
- Experience designing configuration-driven or policy-based access models (RBAC/ABAC), authorization engines, or Zero Trust identity.
- Experience with SCIM provisioning, audit logging, and enterprise compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, and similar).
- A track record of moving a product upmarket and winning demanding enterprise customers.
- Experience introducing AI-native or agent-driven operating models to an engineering team.
- Experience managing engineers across backend and frontend, or managing other leads.

Our Forward Deployed Engineers embed directly with strategic customers to ship production AI applications that solve real business problems. As this practice grows, we need a founding leader to build and scale it.
As the first FDE Manager, you'll own the team that sits at the frontier of enterprise AI deployment. You'll hire and develop a high-performing team of FDEs, set the technical and operational bar for customer engagements, and build the playbooks that turn one-off successes into repeatable patterns. You'll work hand-in-hand with Engagement Managers who own delivery logistics and stakeholder management, while you ensure your team is shipping quality code, growing technically, and representing Anthropic at the highest level in customer environments.
This is a player-coach role with a strong bias toward leadership. You'll stay close enough to the technical work to review architectures, debug production issues, and pair with your team when it matters — but your primary impact will come from the people you hire, the standards you set, and the culture you create. You'll partner cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Engineering to shape how Anthropic serves its most strategic customers, and your team's field insights will directly influence product direction.
This role requires someone who thrives in ambiguity and is energized by building from zero to one. You'll be defining what good looks like for FDE management at Anthropic — there is no existing playbook to follow.
Responsibilities
Hire, develop, and retain a world-class team of Forward Deployed Engineers. Set a high bar for technical talent and customer instincts.
Conduct regular 1:1s, provide technical mentorship, and invest in the career growth of each team member. Create an environment where FDEs do the best work of their careers.
Staff and oversee customer engagements across your team's portfolio, making resource allocation decisions that balance customer needs, team development, and business priorities.
Collaborate with account teams and Engagement Managers during the pre-sales process to qualify engagements, scope work, and inform statements of work.
Review technical architectures and code produced by your FDEs, ensuring the team ships high-quality, production-ready solutions that solve real customer problems.
Stay hands-on enough to lead technical discovery sessions, prototype solutions, and debug complex issues alongside your team when needed.
Build repeatable playbooks, starter repositories, integration templates, and an internal knowledge base that captures what your team learns in the field.
Define team OKRs that tie to customer success outcomes and product adoption goals. Create operational cadences — standups, retros, engagement reviews — that keep the team aligned.
Partner with Product and Engineering to translate field insights into product improvements. Serve as the voice of the customer in internal planning.
Travel to customer sites as needed (25-50%), particularly during engagement kickoffs and for your team's highest-priority accounts.
You may be a good fit if you have
10+ years of experience in software engineering, solutions architecture, or a technical customer-facing role such as forward deployed engineering or consulting.
2+ years of people management experience within a services/post-sales/FDE organization with a track record of hiring, developing, and retaining strong engineers.
Experience building organizations from 0->1, not just inheriting an existing one.
Experience working directly with enterprise customers on technical implementations, including comfort navigating complex organizational dynamics.
Executive presence with the ability to move fluidly between strategic conversations with senior stakeholders and hands-on debugging sessions with engineers.
Strong written and verbal communication skills. You can translate technical complexity into clear narratives for diverse audiences.
Genuine excitement about building something new and defining what great looks like for a team that doesn't yet exist.
Why this role matters
You'll be a founding leader of a team that defines how enterprises adopt and scale AI. Your work will directly influence Anthropic's product direction, create reusable patterns for the broader customer base, and establish Anthropic as the trusted partner for AI transformation — all while advancing the responsible development of frontier AI systems.
