Novakid is an online English school for kids. The Visitor Squad owns the funnel from first visit to paid lesson: landing pages, registration and booking, blog, and the visitor's personal account. We track two key metrics, visitor → lead and visitor → booking, and test almost everything we ship through experiments.
This is a backend-first role: about 70% backend (Python, some
Node.js
) and 30% frontend (React/TypeScript). You'll own the server side of the funnel: APIs behind registration, booking and the visitor account, attribution, and server-side integrations with ad platforms. When a feature needs frontend work, you'll take it end-to-end yourself. You'll work within the squad's processes: planning, grooming, code review, sprints and releases.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build and maintain Python services and APIs behind the funnel: registration, booking and the visitor account
Build and own server-side integrations with ad platforms (Meta CAPI, TikTok Events API and similar): event delivery, deduplication, retries and monitoring
Own attribution on the backend: end-to-end visit tracking, UTM persistence, and diagnosing gaps in V2L/V2B data
Keep services fast and reliable: caching, query optimization, debugging server-side rendering in our
Node.js/Express
layer
Investigate production incidents through Sentry and see them through to resolution
Support A/B testing on the server side: feature flags, rollouts, and cleanup after experiments
Ship frontend changes in React/TypeScript when a feature needs it
Requirements
5+ years of production backend development in Python, including services you designed, shipped and supported in production yourself
Strong backend fundamentals: API design, relational databases and SQL, caching, background jobs, and integrating third-party APIs (auth, rate limits, retries, idempotency)
Production debugging experience: logs, error tracking, finding the root cause of an issue
Node.js
: comfortable reading and changing an Express service
Working frontend skills: enough TypeScript and React to deliver a feature end-to-end. Expert level not required.
An understanding of how tracking data travels from click to report, and the ability to find where it gets lost
Product mindset: you work with metrics and hypotheses, not just tickets
Fluent English
Nice to Have
Server-side conversion tracking (CAPI, Events API, server-side GTM)
BigQuery: checking your own hypotheses with data
CDN and edge caching (CloudFront or similar)
GDPR and consent mechanisms
E2E testing with Playwright or Cypress
Our Tech Stack
Python,
Node.js
, Express (SSR), TypeScript, React,
Next.js
, Sentry, GrowthBook, BigQuery.

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the Role
Anthropic manages one of the largest and fastest-growing infrastructure fleets in the industry — spanning multiple accelerator families, cpu families and clouds. The Capacity Engineering team is responsible for making sure all our infrastructure resources are accounted for, well-utilized, and efficiently allocated. We own the data, tooling, and operational systems that let Anthropic plan, measure, and maximize utilization across first-party and third-party compute.
As an engineer on Capacity Engineering, you will build the production systems that power this work: data pipelines that ingest and normalize telemetry from heterogeneous cloud environments, observability tooling that gives the org real-time visibility into fleet health, and performance instrumentation that measures how efficiently every major workload uses the hardware it’s running on. You will be expected to write production-quality code every day, operate alongside Kubernetes-native infrastructure at meaningful scale, and directly influence decisions around one of Anthropic’s largest areas of spend.
You’ll collaborate closely with research engineering, infrastructure, inference, and finance teams. The work requires someone who can move between data engineering, systems engineering, and observability with comfort — and who thrives in a high-autonomy, high-ambiguity environment.
This is a pipeline role feeding four areas.
Depending on your background and business priority, you’ll focus primarily in one, but the boundaries are fluid and the problems overlap:
Data platform
Pipelines that ingest occupancy and utilization telemetry from Kubernetes clusters, normalize billing and usage across cloud providers, and serve the BigQuery tables the rest of the org queries against. Correctness, completeness, and latency are the job, not a footnote. Consumers range from research engineers to finance to leadership, so it's product work as much as engineering: defining schema contracts, making data discoverable, and figuring out what people actually need.
Planning
Knowing what the fleet has, where it's going, and what's in the way. Making the state of the fleet legible and actionable in real time: cluster health tooling, capacity planning platforms, alerting on occupancy drops and allocation problems, and systemic fixes to scheduling and fragmentation. Kubernetes operations on one side, cross-team coordination on the other.
Efficiency
Measuring and improving how effectively every major workload uses the hardware it runs on. Instrumenting utilization across training, inference, and eval systems, building benchmarking infrastructure, establishing per-config baselines, and working directly with system-owning teams to close the gaps. The metric has to be good enough that the team on the hook for it agrees with the number.
Attribution and forecasting
Connecting what the fleet costs to what the business is doing with it. Reconciling CSP billing exports against vendor telemetry and internal systems with mismatched schemas, attributing spend to the workloads and teams that generate it, and turning inference demand signals and research roadmaps into a defensible compute plan. Efficiency metrics have to survive contact with finance: stripped of pure demand and unit-price effects, reproducible month over month, and legible to a CFO.
Key responsibilities
Build the planning and allocation stack — the tools leadership uses to allocate capacity, teams use to plan against their allocations, and the scheduler enforces. Cross-region and cross-provider placement, guardrails, queueing, occupancy KPIs.
Drive the efficiency programs: stranding and rightsizing, unused capacity recovery, and job-level utilization across training, inference, and eval. Establish per-config baselines and work with system-owning teams to close the gaps. Utilization improvements are worth enormous sums at our scale.
Own attribution and forecasting — reconcile billing across ten-plus providers against telemetry and internal systems, attribute spend to the workloads that generate it, and turn demand signals and research roadmaps into a defensible compute plan and supply pipeline.
Build the data platform underneath all of it: pipelines ingesting occupancy, utilization, and cost from a rapidly diversifying fleet into BigQuery, with real ownership of completeness, latency SLOs, and gap detection. Every new provider is a net-new integration.
Operate Kubernetes-native systems at scale — collection agents, workload labeling, and the taint/reservation/scheduling behavior that determines what capacity is actually usable.
Treat the output as a product, not a pipeline. Gather your own requirements, define schema contracts, and design for consumers ranging from research engineers to a CFO — including on-call and SLOs, because these surfaces are load-bearing for the company.
What you bring
A strong track record building and operating production systems. This is a hands-on engineering role with a devops flavor.
Python and SQL at production quality. Most pipeline code is Python; the presentation layer is BigQuery SQL, including table-valued functions and views. Both need to be idiomatic, well-tested, and maintainable.
Deep experience with at least one major cloud provider (Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure) and its operations
Experience with observability tooling stack, including Prometheus, PromQL, and Grafana, including writing recording rules and building monitoring that engineering teams rely on.
Ability to gather your own requirements and work across organizational boundaries in an ambiguous environment with limited direction.
Preferred qualifications
Experience with capacity planning, resource management, or cost attribution systems at a hyperscaler or in a large-scale machine learning environment. Time spent in product engineering and developer experience absolutely counts here.
Scheduling and packing efficiency experience, or profiling-driven optimization of large distributed workloads.
Multi-cloud data ingestion experience, especially normalizing billing exports, reservation APIs, on-demand capacity reservations, commitments, and vendor telemetry from providers with different billing arrangements.
Total cost of ownership and forecasting experience, including decomposing whether infrastructure growth is causal or correlated with business drivers.
Accelerator infrastructure familiarity. GPU metrics (DCGM), TPU utilization, Trainium power and utilization metrics, or experience with machine learning training and inference systems at the hardware level.
Experience building internal data products with self-service access, schema contracts, API serving, documentation, and discoverability. Not just pipelines, but thinking about how the data gets consumed.
Storage efficiency, retention, and lifecycle program experience at exabyte scale.

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.

We’re scaling fast and staying true to what makes us different: an open-source legacy, a global collaborative culture, and a passion for meaningful work. Our team thrives in an innovation-driven environment where transparency, autonomy, and trust fuel everything we do.
You may not meet every requirement, and that’s okay. If this role excites you, we’d love you to raise your hand for what could be a truly career-defining opportunity.
This is a remote position. We are seeking candidates in US and Canada.
The Opportunity:
Application Core Services (AppCore) is a group within Platform, in the Foundations department. Foundations produces the Internal Engineering Platform (IEP) and partners closely with our Cloud, Enterprise, and Grafana teams. Our team develops the essential systems driving Grafana's business operations. We utilize the grafana.com platform to engineer bespoke integrations and solutions that unify the diverse technical ecosystem of a modern software enterprise.
The team owns important domain areas that help keep both our customer workflows and internal business processes running smoothly. AppCore is made up of multiple squads, each focused on one or more of these domains. Our work includes maintaining the billing engine responsible for customer usage calculations, automating provisioning after a customer signs a contract, integrating with cloud marketplaces such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, and building and maintaining the user portal our customers rely on to manage their accounts.
This is a team working at the intersection of product, platform, and business operations. The systems we build are critical to how Grafana Cloud scales. We are looking for engineers who enjoy solving complex workflow and systems problems, improving reliability and developer experience, and building software that directly supports both customers and internal stakeholders.
As a company we are remote-first and global, we embrace people of different experiences and backgrounds to build diverse teams where every person brings a unique perspective to the software. Engineers at Grafana Labs also have the opportunity to contribute to Open Source communities and collaborate across teams beyond their immediate scope.
What You’ll Be Doing:
The Usage squad owns the essential systems driving Grafana's business operations and customer usage calculations. Our domain encompasses maintaining the billing engine responsible for customer usage calculation, cost management and billing applications, automating provisioning after a customer signs a contract, integrating with cloud marketplaces such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, and building and maintaining the customer user portal.
Our work sits at the intersection of product, platform, and business operations. We build full-stack web applications, customer portals, backend services, APIs, and data integrations across internal Grafana platforms and third-party systems like NetSuite and Salesforce. When this domain works well, customers get clear usage visibility, reliable billing, and seamless account management workflows. This role is about 75% FrontEnd and 25% BackEnd.
Design, build, operate, and evolve reliable full-stack web applications, customer-facing account portals, and backend services that power core customer usage and billing workflows
Build and maintain backend APIs (Golang, Node.js) and intuitive user interfaces using modern frontend technologies (TypeScript, React)
Design and maintain integrations between Grafana systems and external business platforms such as NetSuite, Salesforce, and cloud marketplaces (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Develop and automate business logic for customer usage metering, pricing structures, promotions, and billing reconciliation
Collaborate across product management, DealOps, GTM, Support, and adjacent AppCore squads to deliver robust end-to-end features
Address technical debt, optimize CI/CD pipelines, strengthen test coverage, and improve system observability and operational resilience
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers while shaping pragmatic solutions for complex systems challenges
Contribute to roadmap planning, technical design, OnCall improvements, and long-term simplification of stack operations
You will help own the production behavior of the systems you build. That includes improving runbooks, dashboards, alerts, reconciliation safety, rollout controls, and recovery procedures. You should be comfortable debugging across service boundaries and making careful changes in systems that affect customer stacks
What Makes You a Great Fit:
At Grafana, we actively embrace AI-assisted and agentic development practices, integrating these technologies into both our engineering workflows and the systems we deliver. We encourage our engineers to thoughtfully leverage AI tools to enhance every stage of the lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing, documentation, and operations. We also look for strategic opportunities to embed agentic capabilities within our services to eliminate toil, bolster reliability, and ensure that complex customer workflows remain resilient and safe.
We are seeking a Staff FullStack Engineer who thrives on building production systems where correctness, scalability, and user experience are paramount. As a remote-first organization, you should be comfortable collaborating asynchronously across time zones and taking full ownership of the critical systems powering Grafana Cloud. Our team is small and operates with a high degree of independence; you will be expected to lead major projects, coordinate across service boundaries, and help define the technical direction for our domain.
You will be particularly successful in this role if you enjoy solving challenges related to stateful systems, eventual consistency, and reconciliation loops. We value engineers who can take ambiguous lifecycle requirements and transform them into explicit, modular solutions. You should be adept at breaking down complex systems work into safe, iterative increments while clearly communicating technical tradeoffs to both internal stakeholders and adjacent product teams.
Some things you might be expected to do could include:
Writing efficient, readable, and easy to maintain code
Designing new microservices or systems
Collaborating with teammates and other departments to reach consensus on proposed solutions
Coordinating with product and UX when needed
Responding to customer requests and feedback
When ready, participating in our follow-the-sun OnCall rotation
Participating in team decisions, such as roadmap planning and prioritization
Requirements:
You have at least 1 year of fully remote work experience
You have worked on a big SaaS platform and dealt with common distributed systems problems (e.g. scalability, multi-tenancy, data isolation, HA, …)
Strong professional experience with backend technologies (Golang, Node.js) as well as modern frontend web development (TypeScript, React)
Care deeply about developer and user experience and the quality of the products that you work on
Have some experience with delivering projects from gathering requirements, and brainstorming ideas to shipping a product to the customer’s hands in a self-driven way
You write clean, robust, well-tested software that other engineers can understand, operate, and maintain
Have experience with mentoring junior engineers in a collaborative but asynchronous environment
Can take on complex challenges and break them down to achieve tight learning loops: to analyze, design, and build modular solutions, deliver MVPs, gather data and feedback, and then progress iteratively
You are willing to work across teams. Your work has to be aligned with the needs of other squads and external stakeholders. You make your plans transparent, bring stakeholders on board, and are open to feedback and suggestions
Strong Kubernetes experience in AWS, GCP, or Azure, and familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tooling (Helm, Terraform, Jsonnet, etc.)
Bonus Points For:
Experience with high-volume usage metering, billing engines, or customer-facing cost management applications
Experience designing, building, and maintaining integrations with third-party business systems (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce, Cloud Marketplaces)
Experience with frontend component libraries, design systems, and modern CSS-in-JS tooling
Familiarity with cloud marketplace integrations (AWS, Azure, GCP) and SaaS provisioning/tenancy patterns
Experience working on SaaS provisioning, tenancy, regional expansion, plugin rollout, or customer lifecycle systems
Experience with incident response involving configuration drift, partial failure, or cross-service state mismatch

ClickHouse Cloud, the fully managed version of the open source ClickHouse database, is available on AWS, GCP, and Azure. Customers can purchase directly from ClickHouse or through the cloud marketplaces. Billing is how every ClickHouse product reaches customers and shows up in our financials. As we add new products and new ways to buy, we are investing in our billing platform to scale with them. As Principal Product Manager for Billing and Marketplaces, you will lead that work and report to the Director of Product Management, Billing and Marketplaces.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Own the multi-year vision, strategy, and roadmap for billing, from usage metering through invoicing, payments, and revenue recognition, working alongside the product managers and engineering leads of our metering and pricing, billing platform, and payments teams.
- Evolve our metering and pricing foundation into a single metrics pipeline that new products can reuse, where the same metric can be priced differently by product and tier, and only net-new metrics need code changes.
- Evolve our prepaid commit capabilities, with flexibility for customer-specific rate cards or metric-level discounts, contract changes and rollovers, and customer-facing balance visibility and spend alerts.
- Own our cloud marketplace strategy and integrations across AWS, GCP, and Azure, including private offers, usage reporting, and subscription linking.
- Lead the evaluation of billing architecture, from build versus buy decisions and POCs through migration plans and a clear recommendation to senior leadership.
- Give Finance, Data, and Sales Ops systems they can trust, including ERP and revenue recognition sync, period close, audit controls, and SOX and SOC 2 readiness.
- Partner with product teams, Product Marketing, Sales, and Support to launch billing for new products and pricing models, and serve as the company's subject matter expert on how customers are billed.
- Mentor other product managers and help build the team.
ABOUT YOU:
- 10+ years of product management experience, including 5+ years owning billing, metering, payments, or commercial platforms for a cloud or usage-based product.
- Deep expertise in usage-based pricing, prepaid credits, and committed spend contracts, and in how they translate into systems, invoices, and revenue.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure marketplaces, including private offers, co-sell, entitlements, metering APIs, and disbursements.
- Familiarity with payments across card, invoice, marketplace, and partner channels, including dunning and delinquency flows, fraud detection, and payment notifications.
- Strong understanding of order-to-cash, including invoicing, payment processing, tax, multi-currency, ERP integration, and revenue recognition.
- Experience with third-party billing and payment platforms, such as Stripe or a usage-based billing vendor.
- A track record of designing and maturing a product area from v1 and leading complex programs across engineering, Finance, and go-to-market teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including presenting trade-offs to executives and explaining billing concepts to non-technical audiences.
BONUS POINTS:
- Experience at an infrastructure, database, or developer platform company.
- Comfortable going deep with engineers on event-driven architectures, data pipelines, and idempotency, and fluent enough in SQL to analyze billing data yourself.
- Speaking or published thought leadership on usage-based pricing, billing, or cloud marketplaces.
PERKS
- Flexible work environment - ClickHouse is a globally distributed company and remote-friendly. We currently operate in over 25 countries.
- Healthcare - Employer contributions towards your healthcare.

About the Opportunity
OKX Brazil is building its finance function from the ground up while preparing for supervision by the Central Bank of Brazil (BCB) under the new virtual asset service provider (SPSAV/PSAV) framework. We are looking for a Finance & Accounting Analyst to join our Brazil team and take ownership of core day-to-day accounting, accounts payable, and tax-compliance operations.
You will work alongside the Senior Finance Manager and the Finance & Accounting Specialist, in a role where accuracy, documentation, and discipline matter. Our books will soon be reviewed by a regulator, not only by auditors. This is a strong opportunity for someone early in their career who wants hands-on exposure to financial regulation, crypto, and Brazil’s tax reform.
What You’ll Be Doing
Accounting & Month-End Close
Prepare monthly close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and recurring accounting schedules.
Prepare and review intercompany journal entries and reconcile intercompany balances with affiliates to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Maintain close checklists and supporting documentation in FloQast and NetSuite, meeting group reporting deadlines.
Support the local Portuguese-language books, helping keep entries aligned with Brazilian GAAP and the BCB chart of accounts (COSIF) as we prepare for regulated status.
Accounts Payable & Expense Management
Process vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and weekly payment batches in line with internal policies and approval matrices.
Validate vendor documentation and apply the correct tax treatment before payment.
Review withholding taxes on vendor payments (IRRF, PIS/COFINS/CSLL, INSS, ISS), and keep payment files and supporting documents audit-ready.
Tax Compliance Support
Issue electronic invoices for company operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with municipal and federal requirements.
Support the monthly review of VAT and CIT calculations and maintain supporting documentation.
Support tax-to-accounting reconciliations and coordinate with our outsourced accounting firm on filings and information requests.
Help us follow and prepare for the Brazilian tax reform (IBS/CBS) transition, including the impact on invoicing, vendor payments, and ERP configuration.
Audit & Controls
Support external audit and group-level audit requests: prepare PBC lists, schedules, and reconciliations.
Follow documented controls and flag exceptions or gaps. Contribute to SOPs and process improvements as we build a controlled environment suited to a regulated entity.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CRC registration is a plus).
3+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in financial services, fintech, crypto, or big 4.
Solid knowledge of IFRS and BR GAAP/CPC. Familiarity with tax is a plus.
Hands-on experience with month-end closing, reconciliations, and AP processes.
Strong attention to detail, a sense of ownership, and the discipline to document your work.
Intermediate-to-advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups); Power Query is a plus.
Hands-on, responsible use of AI tools to improve speed and quality of work, while validating outputs and protecting sensitive data.
Professional proficiency in English: you will work daily with international teams and prepare documentation for the group in English.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with international teams across time zones.
Nice to Have
Experience in an institution regulated by the BCB or familiarity with COSIF.
Exposure to crypto or digital assets, or interest in learning about them.
Experience with NetSuite, FloQast, or similar ERP/close tools.
Exposure to intercompany transactions or transfer pricing.
Experience with external audits.
Perks & Benefits
Competitive total compensation package
L&D programs and Education subsidy for employees' growth and development
Various team building programs and company events
Wellness and meal allowances
Comprehensive healthcare schemes for employees and dependents

BUILDING THE FUTURE OF OPEN FINANCE
Payward - the parent company behind Kraken, NinjaTrader, Breakout, xStocks, Payward Services and CF Benchmarks - has spent the last 15 years building one of the most modern and globally accessible financial infrastructure platforms in the industry, built to advance an open, global financial system.
THE TEAM
xStocks brings real-world assets on-chain as tokenized securities that are regulated, fully-backed, and tradable across multiple blockchains. Built within Payward, the xStocks team runs the infrastructure that issues, custodies, and settles these instruments across EVM, Solana, TON, Tron, and more. The platform moves real value, so security is not a feature bolted on at the end. It is a property of everything the team ships. This is a hybrid engineering and security seat built for someone who is genuinely both: you ship products alongside the engineering team when the security queue is quiet, and you own security work end to end when it lands. You report into engineering and partner closely with the Payward security, CISO, and compliance functions.
THE OPPORTUNITY
- Own security deliverables end to end. Coordinate and review smart-contract audits, respond to security questionnaires and due-diligence requests, support CISO and compliance initiatives, and turn findings into tracked, closed-out fixes.
- Run offensive assessments against our own platforms. Pentest the web apps, APIs, backend services, and on-chain components, and build the tooling to do it repeatedly rather than once.
- Continuously assess posture. Threat-model new and existing systems, review architecture and key-management flows, and maintain a living view of the risks and their mitigations.
- Review code for security. Be a default reviewer on changes touching auth, cryptography, custody, signing, and fund movement across our chains.
- Harden the platform. Improve secrets handling, IAM and least-privilege, dependency and supply-chain hygiene, and detection and logging for security-relevant events.
- Secure custody and signing workflows. Review and harden transaction signing flows, MPC and HSM integrations, signer permissions, admin roles, approval policies, and break-glass procedures.
- Contribute to product engineering. Pick up regular backlog work in TypeScript so you stay close to the codebase you are defending.
- Support incidents. Help with detection, triage, response, and post-mortems, and feed the lessons back into the program.
WHAT YOU BRING
- An engineer first. You write and review production code comfortably, TypeScript and Node.js in our stack, and you understand systems deeply enough to break them.
- Strong application and infrastructure security fundamentals. The OWASP-class vulnerability landscape, authn and authz, injection, SSRF, supply-chain risk, and secure design. You have done real offensive work in pentesting, vuln research, or red-team.
- Applied cryptography and blockchain security. Symmetric and asymmetric primitives, hashing, signatures, and key management, plus the security model of EVM, Solana, and ideally TON or Tron. You can read a smart contract and reason about how it fails.
- Ownership. You can take an ambiguous security item, an audit, a questionnaire, or an incident, and drive it to closure without being managed through it.
- Clear communication. You can explain a risk to engineers, to a CISO, and to an auditor, and tailor the message to each.
- An automation instinct. You do not want to catch the same issue manually twice, so you turn findings into tests, alerts, controls, documentation, or platform improvements.
- Risk judgment. You can tell a theoretical issue from a material one, and communicate severity, likelihood, impact, and remediation tradeoffs clearly.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience commissioning or remediating third-party smart-contract audits.
- Familiarity with custody and signing infrastructure such as HSMs, MPC, and ForDefi-style providers, and with on-chain transaction security.
- Cloud security depth in GCP or AWS, IAM, and container and runtime hardening.
- Detection engineering and security observability, including SIEM and log-based detections.
- Relevant certifications such as OSCP, OSWE, or GWAPT.
- Prior work in a regulated fintech or tokenization/DeFi environment.
Unless a specific application deadline is stated in the job posting, applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
Please note, applicants are permitted to redact or remove information on their resume that identifies age, date of birth, or dates of attendance at or graduation from an educational institution.
We consider qualified applicants with criminal histories for employment on our team, assessing candidates in a manner consistent with the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance.
OUR COMMITMENT
Payward is powered by people from around the world and we celebrate the diverse talents, backgrounds, contributions, and unique perspectives that everyone brings to the table. We hire based on merit, seeking out people with the right abilities, knowledge, and skills for the job. We encourage you to apply for roles where you don't fully meet the listed requirements, especially if you're passionate or knowledgeable about crypto.
We may ask candidates to complete job-related skills or work-style assessments as part of our hiring process. These assessments evaluate competencies relevant to the role and are applied consistently across candidates for similar positions. Results are considered alongside experience and interviews, and are not the sole basis for any employment decision.
As an equal opportunity employer, we don't tolerate discrimination or harassment of any kind, whether based on race, ethnicity, age, gender identity, citizenship, religion, sexual orientation, disability, pregnancy, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic as outlined by federal, state, or local laws.

About the Opportunity
We are looking for a seasoned backend engineer to design, build, and scale the backend systems powering OKX’s DEX trading products.
You will own critical parts of the trading lifecycle—from quote discovery and order management to transaction submission, execution tracking, and reconciliation. Working closely with product, frontend, smart contract, and infrastructure teams, you will deliver secure, reliable trading experiences across multiple blockchain ecosystems.
This is a hands-on engineering role with meaningful architectural ownership and opportunities to grow into technical leadership.
What You’ll Be Doing
Design and develop backend services for quote aggregation, order management, transaction orchestration, and execution tracking.
Build reliable integrations with DEX protocols, liquidity sources, blockchain RPC providers, and indexing services.
Define clear order and transaction state models, with robust handling of retries, duplicate requests, partial failures, and recovery.
Ensure trading services remain reliable under high concurrency, traffic spikes, and degraded external dependencies.
Implement appropriate rate limiting, concurrency controls, resource isolation, and graceful degradation.
Optimize database access, transaction boundaries, caching, and asynchronous processing.
Establish monitoring, alerting, load testing, and incident-response practices for critical trading flows.
Support trading workflows across multiple blockchain ecosystems.
Handle transaction submission, confirmation tracking, failed or dropped transactions, and chain reorganizations.
Build data synchronization and reconciliation mechanisms to maintain consistency between backend records and on-chain execution.
Translate product requirements into practical technical designs and production-ready services.
Own features through implementation, testing, rollout, and post-launch operation.
What We Look For In You
5+ years of professional backend engineering experience, including ownership of production systems.
Strong proficiency in Java and its backend ecosystem.
Solid understanding of concurrency, distributed systems, relational databases, caching, and messaging systems.
E
xperience building high-availability services and diagnosing performance or reliability issues in production.
Understanding of blockchain transactions, smart contract interactions, and common DeFi trading mechanisms.
Ability to independently drive a feature from technical design through production deployment.
Strong ownership, sound engineering judgment, and effective cross-functional communication.
Perks &
Benefits
Competitive total compensation package
L&D programs and Education subsidy for employees' growth and development
Various team building programs and company events
Wellness and meal allowances
Comprehensive healthcare schemes for employees and dependants
More that we love to tell you along the process!
