About the job
Twilio is seeking a highly proactive and business-minded Executive Business Partner to support executives within our Enterprise Technology organization. This role extends well beyond traditional administrative support. The successful candidate will develop a strong understanding of our business, technology strategy, organizational priorities, and key initiatives—using that context to anticipate needs, manage competing demands, and help leaders and their teams operate more effectively.
You will serve as a trusted partner to your executives, proactively managing their time and attention. You will be expected to exercise sound judgment, take ownership, and move work forward even when direction is not fully defined or all information is not yet available.
This role requires someone who is comfortable taking charge, solving problems, and navigating ambiguity. You will build strong relationships with executive leadership, their direct reports, and administrative partners across the organization, serving as a central point of coordination and a reliable source of insight and continuity.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
Develop a deep understanding of the Enterprise Technology organization, including its strategy, priorities, key initiatives, stakeholders, and operating rhythms, and use that knowledge to anticipate needs and inform day-to-day decisions.
Serve as a trusted thought partner to executives, providing informed input, identifying potential risks or conflicts, and helping move priorities forward without waiting for detailed direction.
Strategically manage complex executive calendars by evaluating and prioritizing requests, resolving conflicts, protecting time for critical work, and redirecting or delegating meetings when appropriate.
Make sound, independent decisions on behalf of executives, including determining when their participation is needed and ensuring they are prepared with the right context, materials, and desired outcomes.
Manage complex domestic and international travel, prepare and reconcile expenses, and proactively address changes or issues that arise.
Serve as a key point of contact for executives’ direct reports and administrative partners, building trusted relationships and facilitating effective coordination across the organization.
Help translate executive priorities into action by tracking commitments, following up on decisions, and driving accountability for milestones, deliverables, and next steps.
Support key projects and initiatives by gathering information, synthesizing updates, identifying dependencies, and ensuring the right stakeholders remain aligned.
Draft and coordinate executive communications, presentations, program updates, meeting materials, and other written content with a high degree of clarity and professionalism.
Manage leadership meeting and operating cadences, including developing agendas, coordinating presenters, preparing materials, capturing decisions and action items, and ensuring effective follow-through.
Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of executive offsites, leadership summits, strategic planning sessions, and team gatherings, including budget management, venue sourcing, agenda development, material preparation, and stakeholder coordination.
Organize and support special events, team activities, and other high-visibility meetings through thoughtful research, participant coordination, and logistics management.
Analyze team surveys, operational information, or other inputs to identify themes and provide executives with useful insights.
Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve operating practices, and create a more efficient and positive experience for executives and their teams.
Handle sensitive information and complex situations with exceptional discretion, professionalism, and judgment.
Qualifications
Not all applicants will have skills that match a job description exactly. Twilio values diverse experiences in other industries, and we encourage everyone who meets the required qualifications to apply. While having “desired” qualifications make for a strong candidate, we encourage applicants with alternative experiences to also apply. If your career is just starting or hasn't followed a traditional path, don't let that stop you from considering Twilio. We are always looking for people who will bring something new to the table!
Required:
5+ years of experience supporting senior executives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, preferably within the technology industry.
Demonstrated ability to take ownership, operate independently, and move work forward amid ambiguity, incomplete information, and changing priorities.
Strong business acumen and intellectual curiosity, with the ability to quickly understand organizational strategy, technology initiatives, and executive priorities.
Proven ability to anticipate needs, exercise sound judgment, solve problems proactively, and make thoughtful decisions on behalf of senior leaders.
Experience strategically managing complex executive calendars, including evaluating priorities, resolving conflicts, and making informed tradeoffs.

HEALTH CAN’T WAIT.
Not for symptoms to get worse. Not for a six‑month appointment. Not for a system to catch up. But that’s exactly how healthcare works today. You wait, until you can’t.
Alan exists to end the wait.
Health is a universal right, and we believe this right can only become real when it’s coupled with prevention. We need to stop treating health as something we repair and start treating it as something we build, every day. It’s not solely a question of willpower. It’s the healthcare system itself that needs to work for everyone, in a sustainable way.
So we are building the new standard in prevention insurance. Alan is the first company that integrates insurance, prevention, and care into a single, acclaimed user experience.
We are on an incredible journey to build a global leading company, with a unique culture https://alan.com/en/careers. We already partner with 40K+ companies of all sizes, serving more than 1M+ members, and have reached €800M+ in ARR.
Prevention as the new norm. That's what we're building with our team of 1000+ people. If it speaks to you: we're hiring across France, Spain, Belgium, and Canada. And beyond.
🚀 YOUR MISSION
As an Account Executive, you’ll be responsible for full sales cycles from prospection to onboarding.
Most of your meetings will be with Founders, or Heads of HR or Finance.
You’ll understand their pain with incumbent insurers and connect that to how a 100% digital solution can help close critical gaps in the health system.
You’ll build relationships through outbound, hosting community events, attending conferences, writing content online & any other channel that increases your empathy and understanding of the market’s challenges.
You’ll share what you hear from prospects & customers so we adapt our product to best serve their needs.
You’ll work with marketing to build relevant campaigns, events, sponsorships and other initiatives.
You won’t wait for leads - you’ll go create them through action.
If you want to be handed a script & playbook on day one, Alan may not be the right fit for you. If you want to build with us, while we tackle these important challenges, you’re at the right place.
⭐️ WHO YOU ARE ⭐️
You may be a great fit at Alan if you have:
- 2 to 8 years as an AE in B2B tech sales
- Full fluency in English required; French is a strong plus
- Experience at all stages in the deal cycle (ex. prospection through contracting)
Nice to have:
- You’ve moved from SDR or BDR to AE faster than your peers
- You’ve overachieved your quotas
- Experience working at a high-growth company
- Experience selling to HR or Finance leaders
- Experience in either health or insurance
- Experience winning deals in French
- Comfortable with Feedback and a Coaching Culture
YOUR PROFILE
- Builder: opening new markets or verticals excites you. Writing the playbook is more exciting to you than reading one.
- Ownership: you don’t sit back and wait, you go out and create value through action
- Communication: love written communication & sweat the details
- Initiative: you are OK to build your own decks, 1-pagers, and content. You don’t need a 100-person marketing team to make things happen.
- Outcomes focused: no-ego doer & scrappy; you want to put your name on something meaningful in healthcare.
- Thrive In-Person: our sales team works from the office 4-5 days a week - we believe proximity fuels collaboration and customer focus.
🙌 PERKS & BENEFITS https://alan.com/en/careers/a/salary-equity
- Competitive salary + equity (grid level C0-D here https://alan.com/en/careers/a/salary-equity)
- No commission. It’s unusual, but it keeps us aligned with customers.
- Please note that this role compensation model is made of a base salary + Equity (learn more https://alan.com/en/careers/a/salary-equity)
- You will need the LLQP license https://www.fsrao.ca/licensing/life-and-accident-sickness-agent/life-licence-qualification-program-llqp for the role. We cover the cost & give you the space you need to ace the exam
- Monthly TTC Pass
- Generous employer matching program for your RRSP
- Delightful healthcare insurance: great benefits through Alan’s Canada app!
- In office: amazing office space with free lunch, right in the heart of the financial district (King & Yonge) to work closely and collaboratively with your colleagues 4-5 days per week in-person!
- Flexible leave policy: we trust Alaners to take the holidays they need, and no pre-approval is required.
- Personal growth through coaching: At Alan, coaching isn't just a perk - it's core to who we are. Every Alaner is paired with a dedicated coach from day one, who helps maximize their impact, nurture engagement, and navigate Alan's values to develop their full potential. Learn more about our coaching culture https://alan.com/en/blog/discover-alan/a/alan-culture-excellence-through-coaching.
- Parental leave: extended parental leave for all new parents.
IMPORTANT NOTE: WE HIRE PEOPLE, NOT ROLES.
If you're excited about this opportunity but don't check every box, we'd love to hear from you. Everyone, no matter how underrepresented, should feel free to apply as it can only bring learnings or success.
If you identify yourself as a woman: Did you know that research shows women often apply only when meeting 100% of requirements?
Remember, this is just a guide, not a checklist.
We'll be thrilled to receive your application!

Location: Melbourne
The Role
You’ll own a net-new enterprise territory in Melbourne. Most of your number comes from accounts that don’t buy from us yet.
New business usually starts with a team already running ClickHouse — open source, or a Cloud account someone expensed — until a bill or a security review pushes the conversation up to the platform team and the budget owner. Common triggers: an Elasticsearch or Splunk bill that’s hard to defend, a warehouse that can’t serve a customer-facing feature fast enough, an AI product querying tens of billions of rows.
You’ll carry a small set of existing accounts alongside the hunt, where growth comes from new teams inside an account that already buys from us. One team lands a workload, it works, and four other teams have a similar problem. But the bulk of this role is finding and opening accounts that aren’t on our map yet.
What You Will Be Doing
- Own the full sales cycle for new accounts in your territory — first conversation through security review, procurement, and close, on Cloud commitments and multi-year committed spend.
- Build your own pipeline. Self-sourced outbound is the primary input to this territory, not a supplement to inbound.
- Find and convert existing ClickHouse usage in new accounts. Unmanaged open-source deployments and self-serve Cloud accounts are the highest-yield source of new pipeline in this segment.
- Multi-thread across the data platform team, the budget owner, security, and the executive sponsor rather than relying on a single champion.
- Work with your Solutions Architect through the technical evaluation. They own the technical win, you own the commercial strategy and the close.
- Run the procurement path: security questionnaires, legal redlines, vendor onboarding, and BYOC or private-deployment requirements, including Australian data residency where it’s required.
- Give your champion the internal business case — TCO comparison against the incumbent, migration plan, and risk mitigation.
- Grow the accounts you land by mapping the remaining teams and use cases and building an expansion plan against them.
- Watch consumption trends across your accounts and engage early when usage flattens or spikes. Both are signals.
- Keep Salesforce accurate and submit a forecast leadership can plan against.
- Participate in the developer community in your territory: meetups, conferences, and events across Melbourne.
What You Bring
- 6+ years selling technical infrastructure to enterprise buyers — databases, data platforms, cloud infrastructure, observability, or developer tooling.
- A track record of self-sourced pipeline. You can explain your weekly prospecting approach and what actually works for you.
- Experience selling into Melbourne and Victorian enterprise accounts, and familiarity with how procurement and security review run here.
- A track record closing complex deals that went through security review, legal, and procurement.
- Enough technical fluency to hold an architecture conversation. You don’t need to write SQL, but you should be able to explain why a company moves a workload off Elasticsearch.
- Experience with consumption-based or usage-metered commercial models, where revenue moves with usage between contract events.
- Experience selling into developer-led, bottom-up adoption as well as top-down.
- Ability to orchestrate people who don’t report to you — Solutions Architects, executive sponsors, partners, product managers.
- Comfort building a territory from scratch rather than inheriting mature coverage.
- Accurate forecasting, including when the number is bad.
PERKS
- Flexible work environment - ClickHouse is a globally distributed company and remote-friendly. We currently operate in over 25 countries.
- Healthcare - Employer contributions towards your healthcare.
- Equity in the company - Every new team member who joins our company receives stock options.
- Time off - Flexible time off in the US, generous entitlement in other countries.
- A USD$500 Home office setup if you’re a remote employee.
- Global Gatherings – We believe in the power of in-person connection and offer opportunities to engage with colleagues at company-wide offsites.
CULTURE - WE ALL SHAPE IT
As part of a rapidly scaling start-up, you will be instrumental in shaping our culture.
