WHO WE ARE
Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkpYpWfEK5s. We're building one place where your knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools live side by side, so work is faster, clearer, and less fragmented. Millions of individuals, small teams, and large companies run their work on Notion.
Notinos (our employees) are customer zero in bringing this future of work to life. We care about craft, building things that last, and the belief that great work is still fundamentally human. Our goal isn’t to ship the next feature. Each and every team of Notinos is working to set the standard for how humans work together in the AI era. From building a business’s system of record to making and managing AI agents to automating away the busy work, we care deeply about giving our customers more time for their life’s work.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Forward Deployed Architect on Notion’s Services team, you will help customers turn AI ambition into operational reality and unlock the full potential of our platform. You will partner directly with customers to design, build, and launch AI-native workflows that drive adoption, usage, and measurable business outcomes.
This role sits at the center of Notion’s workflow-led GTM motion. You will partner directly with customers to understand their business goals, operating processes, technical environment, governance needs, and adoption barriers, then translate that context into scalable Notion architectures that drive measurable value.
You will be hands-on across discovery, solution design, workspace architecture, workflow build, AI implementation, launch planning, adoption and handoff. You will work deeply with customers to define what Notion should own, where it should integrate with existing systems, and how Notion can become a durable operating layer for their teams.
The best candidates combine strong consultative discovery, systems thinking, technical fluency, AI-native workflow design, implementation judgment and exceptional customer presence. You should be comfortable reasoning through technical tradeoffs, designing scalable solutions, and partnering closely with Forward Deployed Engineering when deeper engineering support is required.
This role will be based in Paris. We work from our offices on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays (our Anchor Days) because we do our best thinking and building together in person. We’re looking for someone who’s excited to work alongside the team during those days.
WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE:
- Partner with customers on forward deployed engagements from discovery through launch, translating business goals and workflow requirements into scalable clear solution design and Notion solutions that drive durable adoption.
- Design scalable Notion architectures that translate customer workflows, permission and governance needs, integrations and AI use cases into optimal workspaces that are easy to adopt, manage and scale.
- Design and deploy AI-native workflows using Notion AI, custom agents, automations, Workers, Developer Platform capabilities and adjacent AI tools, partnering with Forward Deployed Engineering when advanced technical depth is needed for migrations, API constraints, security architecture or frontier implementation.
- Help customers navigate change by designing adoption plans, enablement materials and launch approaches that drive sustained usage and measurable business value.
- Identify repeatable patterns across customer engagements and convert them into packaged solutions, templates, reference architectures, run books, enablement assets and product feedback.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, simplifying complex technical requirements, making practical tradeoff recommendations and helping stakeholders align around a clear implementation path.
- Partner cross-functionally with GTM, Product, Engineering, PMM, Services leadership and the partner ecosystem to scale what works beyond individual customer engagements.
- Create clear implementation plans, handoff materials and success measures that align customers and internal teams on the path to value.
SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO BRING:
- 5+ years of experience in tech services/consulting, solutions architecture, implementation, customer engineering, or a similar customer-facing role.
- Proven ability to translate ambiguous customer goals into clear workflows, implementation plans, solution architectures, and measurable success criteria.
- Strong consultative discovery skills, including the ability to map current-state workflows, identify customer pain, understand operating models, surface technical constraints, and define practical future-state solutions.
- Hands-on AI builder mindset, with experience using AI tools to design, prototype, automate, or improve real business workflows.
- Technical fluency with APIs, integrations, data models, automation, enterprise systems, developer workflows and implementation tradeoffs. You do not need to write production code but you should be able to reason through technical constraints and troubleshoot effectively.
- Strong experience delivering implementations that drive adoption, change management and long-term customer value.
- Strong project and engagement management skills, including ownership of scope, timeline, deliverables, stakeholder alignment, risks, decisions, dependencies and launch readiness.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for business, technical, and executive audiences.
- Strong executive presence and customer judgment, with the ability to build trust, frame tradeoffs clearly, and move ambiguous decisions forward.
- Bias toward action, high learning velocity, and comfort building in fast-changing AI-native product environments.
- Fluency in English and French.
NICE TO HAVES:
- Experience designing or deploying Agents, automations or AI-powered workflows with Customers.
- Experience with Notion, APIs, MCPs, Workers, coding agents or developer platform workflows.
- Experience developing discovery methodologies, reusable delivery assets, internal tooling, packaged services or reference architectures from the ground up.
- Experience partnering with Product and Engineering teams to turn field learnings into roadmap signal, reusable architecture patterns or scalable product improvements.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced, high-growth technology environment.

OUR STORY:
Every year millions of people are either filing their taxes in fear or giving up on their tax refund altogether. We're working on fixing that. Our intuitive app enables anyone, regardless of education or background, to file their taxes with newfound confidence.
Spread across Germany, Spain and the UK, the team at Taxfix Group with its brands Taxfix and Steuerbot, is a compassionate group of solution-finders. We speak our minds openly, and with over 400 professionals, including tax experts, developers, and IT security experts, we're rich in ideas and voices. The group has facilitated more than 3.5 billion euros in tax refunds for its customers since its founding in 2016.
THE OPPORTUNITY:
Taxfix is continuously evolving its business model for scalability in the context of a subscription-driven revenue base. This shapes how we plan, forecast, and measure the business, and it makes revenue planning one of the most interesting places to work in FP&A right now.
As Senior Financial Analyst in the FP&A team, you will take care of the company topline model and help shape a scalable revenue planning landscape. You will report to the Senior Director of FP&A and work closely with Product, Marketing, Monetization, Data, and Accounting, with regular exposure to the Senior Leadership team.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own the company topline revenue model: design, maintain, and continuously improve it, with clear accountability for forecast accuracy.
- Lead the redesign of the revenue modeling landscape toward a scalable, and auditable structure with a single source of truth.
- Build subscription economics into planning: recurring revenue, subscriber growth, retention and churn cohorts.
- Own scenario and what-if modeling for budgeting, pre-budgeting, and long-range planning, translating business questions into quantified options.
- Drive alignment of key KPI definitions across Finance, Data, and Accounting, contributing to a single company-wide KPI glossary.
- Deliver revenue insights and analysis for Board materials and investor reporting.
- Partner with Product, Marketing, and Monetization on pricing decisions, growth cases, and ROI assessments.
- Set modeling standards within FP&A and provide technical mentorship to junior analysts.
- Drive automation of recurring planning and reporting workflows, leveraging planning tools (Pigment) and AI-enabled solutions.
YOUR PROFILE:
- 5+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or a highly analytical role, ideally in a high-growth or subscription-based business; consulting or investment banking backgrounds welcome if combined with hands-on modeling ownership.
- Proven track of owning mindset of company-level revenue or topline model, not just contributing to one.
- Deep familiarity with subscription metrics: recurring revenue, cohorts, LTV, churn, retention, and customer acquisition economics, beyond high-level financial KPIs.
- Demonstrated experience simplifying or rebuilding complex legacy models into scalable structures.
- Hypothesis-driven mindset: you form a view, test it against data, and defend it with senior stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills; able to translate stakeholders input into scalable model structures with model output designed for management and Board audiences.
- Expert in Excel and Google Sheets; experience with planning tools (Pigment a strong plus) and cloud-based finance systems.
- SQL is a strong plus; Python, R, or BI tools are welcome.
- Confident with financial statements and accounting principles, able to link revenue drivers to P&L outcomes.
- Experience mentoring or coaching junior team members is a plus.
WHY TAXFIX?
- A chance to do meaningful, people-centric work with an international team of passionate professionals.
- Holistic well-being with free mental health coaching sessions.
- A monthly allowance to spend on an extensive range of services that you can use and roll over as flexibly as you like.
- Employee stock options for all employees—because everyone deserves to benefit from the success they help to create.
- 30 annual vacation days and flexible working hours.
- A generous learning budget to support your personal and professional development and guidance from our internal L&D experts.
- Work from abroad for up to six weeks every year. Just align with your team, and then enjoy your trip.
- Plenty of opportunities to socialise as a team. In addition to internal meetups, our international team hosts regular get-togethers—virtually and in person when possible.
- Free tax declaration filing, of course, through the Taxfix app—and internal support for all personal tax-related questions.
- Have a four-legged friend in your life? We’re happy to have dogs join us in the office.

We're proudly committed to equal employment and development opportunities no matter your gender, race, religion, age, sexual orientation, colour, disability, or place of origin. To help mitigate any potential unconscious biases, we ask that you refrain from including your picture, age, or marital status on your CV. Let your experiences speak for themselves.

The ideal candidate combines native-level Japanese language expertise with a deep understanding of what effective education looks like in the Japanese market.
WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE
- Own and apply Japanese localization QA standards across training content, including checking for accuracy, clarity, tone, terminology, and cultural nuance
- Support development of glossaries, style guides, QA checklists, review processes, and localization assets
- Become a go-to partner for translation questions related to Notion-specific concepts, product terminology, and training context
- Support QA of technical implementation in eLearning authoring tools and LMS environments (course files, quizzes, answer selections)
- Coordinate across Customer Education, Partner Enablement, Localization, and vendors to align on priorities, timelines, translation progress, and quality expectations
- Identify workflow risks and recommend improvements that improve translation quality and reduce time-to-launch
- Document repeatable processes that make training and help center localization easier to manage over time
SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO BRING
- Strong understanding of localization workflows, including vendor collaboration, review cycles, glossaries, style guides, QA rubrics, and linguistic QA
- Experience with Japanese localization QA, ideally for SaaS, technical training, customer education, or partner enablement content
- Ability to review translated content for quality, clarity, terminology accuracy, cultural nuance, and learner comprehension
- Familiarity with eLearning or LMS tools; experience with platforms like Skilljar or Parta authoring tools is a plus
- Comfort working with technical or product-specific terminology that may not translate directly
- Strong attention to detail, especially in learner-facing content, quizzes, course setup, formatting, and implementation QA
- Strong project management skills and ability to bring structure into ambiguous areas
WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS
We want all of our learners should feel like Notion training content was made for them — not simply translated for them. High-quality localization has a direct impact on learner trust, comprehension, launch readiness, and regional enablement outcomes.
This role will help Customer Education and Partner Enablement move faster while raising the quality bar: reducing rework, catching issues before launch, improving vendor feedback loops, and creating a clearer, more repeatable operating model for training localization
This is a 6-month, part-time role with option to extend. Preferred location is Tokyo, but we're open to remote applicants with strong Japanese market expertise and timezone overlap with Japan and Notion's International Experience team.
Availability: 20 hours/week

A NOTE ON AI
You don’t need deep AI expertise for every role, but we do expect every Notino to be intellectually curious, drawn to tinkering and discovery, and excited to use AI as a real collaborator in their work. For some roles, AI fluency is a core requirement — when that’s the case, we'll say so explicitly in the qualifications. People who thrive here don’t treat AI as a novelty. They use it to think better, and make their work easier for others to build on.

Overview
LaunchDarkly is seeking a creative and experienced Product Manager to lead our end-to-end data products, from SDK data ingest through our data platform to the customer-facing observability, metrics, and experimentation experiences built on top of it. You will own the vision and strategy for this entire pipeline as a coherent product, ensuring the data customers send us is trustworthy, timely, and transformed into experiences that help them ship better software. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of data infrastructure, observability/analytics, and how customers and their agents consume and work with software delivery data.
Responsibilities
Define and lead the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for LaunchDarkly's end-to-end data products, spanning SDK event ingestion, our data platform, and customer-facing data products, ensuring alignment with company goals and customer requirements.
Own the strategy for AI-powered analysis of our data and the agent experience of our data products: how AI surfaces insights, anomalies, and recommendations from software delivery data, and how our data is modeled, exposed, and made consumable so that AI agents are first-class consumers alongside humans.
Own the product strategy, platform definition, and GTM for our data products.
Treat the data pipeline as a single product: drive coherence across ingestion, processing, storage, and consumption so that every downstream experience (analytics, experimentation, insights, integrations) is built on a reliable, well-modeled foundation.
Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to deliver high-quality products that meet customer needs.
Monitor industry trends and competitor products to stay ahead of the curve.
Act as the voice of the customer, ensuring their needs and pain points are addressed in all product decisions.
Partner with marketing and cross-functional teams including sales, customer success, and support to define Go-To-Market plans and strategy for data products and features.
Mentor and uplevel other product managers, and raise the bar for data-informed product practice across the organization.
About you
Curious:
More than anything, you love learning and are able to build opinions and expertise quickly across many domains.
Purpose-driven:
The how behind all your projects is driven by a clear definition of why we're solving the problem.
Agent-first:
You’re obsessive about pushing agents to their limits and often eschew UIs in favor of agent-first interactions.
Customer-centric:
You are driven to understand customer challenges and needs, crafting solutions that provide real value.
Product sense:
You love great software and can't stand bad software. You have a strong focus on craft, quality, and the ability to deeply empathize with the end user to deliver delightful experiences.
Systems thinker:
You see how the pieces connect. You're as comfortable reasoning about an ingestion pipeline's throughput as you are about the dashboard a customer sees, and you understand how decisions at one layer ripple through the others.
Collaborative:
You excel at working with diverse teams, seamlessly bridging customer stakeholders, ecosystem partners, and product development teams.
Effective communicator:
You build strong relationships and communicate with clarity and precision. You're an incredible writer who can concisely explain complex ideas in simple ways to a wide variety of audiences.
Adaptable:
You thrive in fast-paced environments and can effectively prioritize in order to manage multiple projects at once.
High agency:
You are motivated to achieve success and have a strong sense of ownership to deliver great outcomes across a broad range of responsibilities. Even if it's not your responsibility, if you see something that needs to be done, you make sure it happens.
Business acumen:
You understand how technical solutions tie to business objectives and can align projects to meet customer and company goals.
Qualifications
8+ years of product experience, especially with data platforms, data infrastructure, analytics, or developer tools.
Alternatively, 8+ years of engineering experience in data-intensive systems with a strong product mindset and a desire to transition into a product management role.

Proven track record of successfully bringing data products to market and driving strategy across multiple teams or a platform-scale product area.
Strong understanding of modern data architectures: event/streaming pipelines, data warehousing and lakehouse patterns, data modeling, and the trade-offs of processing data at scale.
Experience with both platform products (where the customer is internal teams or developers) and end-user-facing data products (analytics, observability, insights, experimentation), and an understanding of how the two must work together.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with and influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

About LaunchDarkly:
Modern software delivery was supposed to be the foundation for a thriving digital business but reality has proven otherwise. The LaunchDarkly platform helps developers innovate on new features faster while protecting them with a safety valve to instantly rewind when things go wrong. Developers can target product experiences to any customer segment and maximize the business impact of every feature. And by gradually rolling out new application components, they escape nightmare "big-bang" technology migrations.
The LaunchDarkly platform was built to guide engineers to the next frontier of DevOps by:
Improving the velocity and stability of software releases, without the fear of end customer outages
Delivering targeted experiences by easily personalizing features to customer cohorts
Maximizing the business impact of every feature through the ability to experiment and optimize
Coordinating the release and optimization of software to provide consistent experiences across mobile platforms and device types

During this transition period, you may see references to both Fivetran and dbt Labs throughout our recruiting process as we integrate our teams, systems, and career sites.
About the Role
Fivetran and dbt Labs is building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies.
We're looking for a senior software engineer to join our Metadata team, which owns the metadata layer of the dbt platform — the discovery API, catalog, lineage, and run history services that let customers understand, trust, and act on what their data is doing.
You'll own the design and delivery of features end to end, working across high-throughput APIs and data models to make them faster, more reliable, and more capable. You'll write and review designs, raise the quality bar in code review, use the latest AI tools, and collaborate closely with product and QE to deliver work that scales.
Technologies You’ll Use
Python, Rust, GraphQL, Postgres, Snowflake, Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, GCP, Datadog
What You’ll Do
Design and implement features and performance improvements across the Metadata team's services — discovery API, catalog, lineage, and run history
Develop, maintain, and test high-quality, maintainable code, and optimize critical paths for performance
Write technical designs for feature-level work, actively seek feedback, and clearly explain the trade-offs of your decisions
Participate in and review technical designs and pull requests, providing constructive feedback to the team
Improve test coverage with comprehensive unit tests and refactor code to drive down tech debt
Troubleshoot and debug production issues, and follow up on incidents with post-mortems and mitigation plans
Break features into tasks, structure and execute your own project plans, and contribute to sprint and feature planning
Collaborate with product managers, QE, customer support, and peers to deliver the best product with high quality, performance, and scalability
Participate periodically in the on-call rotation, and be mindful of security throughout your work
Use AI tooling — IDE assistants like GitHub Copilot, coding agents like Claude Code, and conversational AI — to accelerate development and to author and review SDLC artifacts such as TDDs, PRDs, post-mortems, and test plans
Skills We’re Looking For
5+ years of experience in the software industry with a passion for solving complex software engineering problems, including designing and building backend services and reusable components from the ground up
Experience working with distributed systems and cloud computing concepts
Demonstrated ability to write well-structured, performant, and well-tested code
Ability to independently lead feature-level software and design work that satisfies project requirements, and to clearly explain design trade-offs
Can identify design flaws in existing systems and propose improvements
Experience with code reviews, design, troubleshooting, and testing
Proficiency in a modern backend or systems language such as Python, Java, C++, or C#
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with continuous integration tooling such as BuildKite, and familiarity with observability tools like Datadog or Grafana is a plus
Fluent in using AI code assistants and coding agents to generate and investigate code, and conversational AI (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT) to research, author, review, and synthesize SDLC artifacts
Bonus Skills
Experience in data processing (ETL, ELT) and/or cloud-based data platforms
Experience building or working with metadata, catalog, lineage, or discovery/search systems
Experience with GraphQL APIs and high-throughput, multi-tenant data services
Familiarity with the analytics engineering workflow and the dbt ecosystem

From Fivetran’s founding until now, our mission has remained the same: to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. We’re proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven.
Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industry-leading companies with a shared mission: helping organizations unlock the full value of their data.
Together, we’re delivering the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data — from the moment data moves, through every transformation, to the context teams and AI systems rely on.
Fivetran helps organizations automate data movement across the systems, clouds, engines, and tools they rely on. dbt Labs pioneered analytics engineering, helping teams transform data into reliable, governed insights. Together, we support thousands of organizations as they build a trusted foundation for analytics, AI, and better business decisions.
As we bring our teams and technology together, we’re building on the strengths of both companies while continuing to deliver the products and experiences our customers know and trust. It’s an exciting time to join us: we’re creating a company with the scale, talent, and technology to help more organizations put their data to work with greater speed, confidence, and impact.
During this transition period, you may see references to both Fivetran and dbt Labs throughout our recruiting process as we integrate our teams, systems, and career sites.
About the Role
Fivetran and dbt Labs are building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies.
We're looking for a staff software engineer to be a technical leader on our Metadata team, which owns the metadata layer of the dbt platform — the discovery API, catalog, lineage, and run history services that let customers understand, trust, and act on what their data is doing.
As a
Staff Software Engineer
, you'll contribute to the technical direction for the team. You'll own the architecture of major subsystems, lead complex projects that span multiple engineers, and raise the bar for design and code quality across the team. You'll spend your time on the hardest technical problems, and multiply the team through design reviews, coaching, and mentorship.
Technologies You'll Use
Python, GraphQL, Postgres, Snowflake, Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, GCP, Datadog
What You'll Do
Lead the design and delivery of complex, team-level projects across the Metadata services, coordinating development across multiple engineers
Independently design and develop the architecture of new subsystems, and own team-level subsystems end to end
Use AI tooling and agents — across development and SDLC artifacts such as TDDs, PRDs, post-mortems, and test plans
Review and approve technical designs, ensuring they meet a high quality bar, and identify design deficiencies before they ship
Drive technical initiatives across the team's responsibility areas — discovery API, catalog, lineage, and run history
Set and uphold design, architecture, and coding best practices, and hold teammates accountable for code quality
Coach and mentor engineers, demonstrably improving the quality of code across the team
Write technical specs, document common components, and keep the team accountable for necessary project documentation
Fix and optimize critical parts of the codebase, drive incident follow-through, and advance the reliability and performance of the services you own
Participate periodically in the on-call rotation
Skills We're Looking For
8+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of leading complex, team-scope technical work to completion
Deep expertise designing and owning subsystems in distributed, cloud-based systems
Demonstrated ability to set technical direction for a team and drive multi-engineer initiatives across an area of ownership
Excellent design and architecture judgment; identifies design flaws in existing systems and proposes sound solutions with clear trade-offs
Writes exemplary, well-tested code that serves as a model for others, and reliably estimates and delivers sprint to sprint
Strong track record of raising quality through code review, coaching peers, and enforcing accepted engineering practices
Experience partnering with QE on test strategy and owning operational health — incidents, post-mortems, reliability, and performance
Proficiency in a modern backend or systems language such as Python, Java, C++, or C#
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and managing dev infrastructure
Fluent in using AI code assistants and coding agents to generate and investigate code, and conversational AI (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT) to author, review, and synthesize SDLC artifacts — and able to model those practices for a team
Bonus Skills
Experience in data processing (ETL, ELT) and/or cloud-based data platforms
Experience architecting metadata, catalog, lineage, or discovery/search systems
Experience with GraphQL APIs and high-throughput, multi-tenant data services
Familiarity with the analytics engineering workflow and the dbt ecosystem

About the Role
Fivetran and dbt Labs are building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies. We're looking for an engineering manager to lead our Metadata team, which owns the metadata layer of the dbt platform: the discovery API, catalog, lineage, and run history services that let customers understand, trust, and act on what their data is doing.
You'll own technical excellence and delivery of a single team, from evolving high-throughput APIs and data models, to hardening reliability and latency for enterprise and single-tenant customers, to shipping new discovery and catalog capabilities in close partnership with product. You'll set direction, review designs and code, remove roadblocks, and grow the engineers on your team through coaching, feedback, and clear career development.
What You'll Do
Lead and grow a team of software engineers, owning hiring, onboarding, coaching, career development plans, and regular 1:1s and check-ins
Own project delivery for your team against the quarterly plan, and be accountable for the reliability and performance of the services you own (e.g. uptime and latency targets)
Review technical designs and code, and provide feedback grounded in a deep understanding of the Metadata product area and architecture
Drive the team to address technical quality — incidents, bugs, tech debt, and post-mortems — within SLA and metric targets
Partner with product and business stakeholders on planning, and maintain a realistic, prioritized feature and project backlog with a high completion rate
Contextualize and communicate the engineering vision and strategy to your team, and share the team's work and business impact with adjacent teams
Ensure engineering processes (e.g. FDLC) are implemented and consistently followed
Delegate effectively and build autonomy and a positive, high-trust culture within the team
Address performance issues and conflict promptly and fairly
Ensure your team uses AI tooling — IDE assistants like GitHub Copilot, coding agents like Claude Code, and conversational AI — to accelerate development and to author and review SDLC artifacts such as TDDs, PRDs, post-mortems, and test plans
Skills We're Looking For
Experience managing and growing a software engineering team(ideally a customer-facing product development team); including hiring, coaching, and running a full performance and career-development cycle
Strong technical foundation with the ability to review designs and code and make sound architectural trade-offs in a distributed, cloud-based systems environment
Track record of delivering complex projects on schedule while holding the team to high standards of quality, reliability, and performance
Experience owning production services and driving operational health — incident response, on-call practices, tech-debt reduction, and meeting SLAs
Ability to plan and prioritize with product partners, maintain a realistic backlog, and drive high sprint and quarterly completion rates
Communicates clearly and effectively across the team and with adjacent teams and stakeholders; keeps people well informed
Fluent in using AI code assistants, coding agents, and conversational AI (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT) to support the software development lifecycle, and able to establish those practices across a team
Bonus Skills
Experience building or operating metadata, catalog, lineage, or discovery/search systems
Experience with GraphQL APIs and high-throughput, multi-tenant data services
Familiarity with the analytics engineering workflow and the dbt ecosystem
Experience supporting enterprise or single-tenant customers with strict reliability and latency requirements

We are building AI to simulate the world through merging art and science.
We believe that world models are at the frontier of progress in artificial intelligence. Language models alone won’t solve the world’s hardest problems – robotics, disease, scientific discovery. Real progress requires models that experience the world and learn from their mistakes, the same way that humans do. And this kind of trial and error can be massively accelerated when done in simulation, rather than in the real world.
World models offer the most clear path to general-purpose simulation, changing how stories are told, how scientific progress is made and how the next frontiers of humanity are reached.
Our team consists of creative, open minded, caring and ambitious people who are determined to change the world. We aspire to continuously build impossible things and our ability to do so relies on building an incredible team. If you are driven to do the same, we'd love to hear from you.
*Titles posted to our careers page are updated regularly to best advertise the role and expected seniority, but internally we have a flat titling system with two types of titles: one for individual contributors and one for people managers.
ABOUT THE ROLE
*Open to hiring remote across North America and London — we also have offices in NYC, San Francisco, Seattle, and London.
We’re building a tool that makes content creation easy and accessible for all types of creatives. Our users love it. Runway has an actively engaged and growing community of passionate artists and creators worldwide. And we’re growing our support team to ensure we can continue to provide delightful experiences for our users every day.
We're looking for creatives at heart that can pick up new tools fast, hold up under high ticket volume without losing quality and identify solutions vs. just clearing the queue. If that's you, read on!
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Work through a high volume of inbound support tickets across Free, Standard, Pro and Unlimited plans with speed and accuracy
- Handle escalations from our AI support layer with sharp judgement on what needs a human and what doesn't
- Identify patterns across tickets and proactively surface them to the product team- not just reporting, but also offering thoughtful recommendations based on what you're seeing
- Help identify opportunities to maintain or build self-service content: help docs, short-form videos, FAQs, etc.
- Engage with the Runway community on Discord and other forums
- Contribute directly to process improvements and automation, including building things yourself when the opportunity is there
- Triage complex technical issues for escalation to Enterprise support
- Live troubleshoot within the Runway platform as needed
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- You're already comfortable in tools like Notion, Slack, Zendesk (or similar), Google Workspace and AI platforms
- Strong written communication: clear, direct, and thoughtful at volume
- A learn-by-failing mentality, when you hit something unfamiliar, you have an experimental mindset
- Natural curiosity about how products work, why users get confused, and what could be done better
- Comfort managing your own work in a fast-moving environment- high ownership and high autonomy
- Data driven mindset: you notice patterns and know how to communicate them
- 1-3 years in customer support, operations, or technical role
- Expertise and/or interest in the creative space, AI or both
- Genuine interest in AI, creative tools or both
WHAT SETS YOU APART
The most successful people in this role don't just keep up- they set the pace. They move through 60, 80, even 100+ tickets in a day without letting quality slip. They're reading the queue, not just clearing it. They notice what keeps surfacing and do something about it, a message to product, a doc, sometimes something they built themselves. They show up with ideas no one asked for yet.
Runway strives to recruit and retain exceptional talent from diverse backgrounds while ensuring pay equity for our team. Our salary ranges are based on competitive market rates for our size, stage and industry, and salary is just one part of the overall compensation package we provide.
There are many factors that go into salary determinations, including relevant experience, skill level and qualifications assessed during the interview process, and maintaining internal equity with peers on the team. The range shared below is a general expectation for the function as posted, but we are also open to considering candidates who may be more or less experienced than outlined in the job description. In this case, we will communicate any updates in the expected salary range.
Lastly, the provided range is the expected salary for candidates in the U.S. Outside of those regions, there may be a change in the range, which again, will be communicated to candidates.
WORKING AT RUNWAY

From Fivetran’s founding until now, our mission has remained the same: to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. We’re proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven.
About Us
Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industry-leading companies with a shared mission: helping organizations unlock the full value of their data.
About the Role
dbt Fusion is building the next generation of data execution and connectivity infrastructure, enabling dbt workloads to run efficiently across diverse compute engines and data platforms. As a Senior Engineer on the Fusion Adapters and Connectivity team, you’ll design and ship core abstractions powering how dbt communicates with execution systems — leveraging Rust, Go, Arrow, and emerging open standards. This is a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of systems programming, database internals, and high-visibility open-source development. Your work will shape a foundational platform leveraged across the dbt ecosystem and the broader data community.
What You’ll Do
Design, build, and maintain Rust-first connectivity layers, execution APIs, and adapter scaffolding.
Partner with teams building the dbt compiler, semantic layer, and runtime to evolve adapter interfaces and system boundaries.
Contribute to Arrow/ADBC and other open-source specifications or implementations, strengthening the data ecosystem.
Own CI, testing frameworks, profiling, error reporting surfaces, and release readiness for Fusion adapters.
Debug complex interoperability and performance issues across drivers, engines, and compute domains.
Collaborate with internal and community maintainers to review PRs, write RFCs, and evolve public code architectures.
Mentor engineers on systems best practices and contribute to shared patterns around resilience, debuggability, and API clarity.
Skills We’re Looking For
Strong programming background in Rust, Go, C++ or similar performance-oriented languages.
Experience designing or maintaining SDKs, libraries, connectors, or compute/data integration codebases.
Exposure to data warehouses, query engines, Arrow/columnar ecosystems, or execution runtimes.
A desire to build foundational platform components that other teams and community members rely on.
Comfort working in public code review loops, async-first communication, and collaborative RFC processes.
A mindset grounded in debuggability, reliability, and ownership in ambiguous problem spaces.
You’ll have an edge if you have:
Contributed to or interacted with Arrow, ADBC, DuckDB, Presto, DataFusion, Spark, ClickHouse, or similar engines.
Experience shaping adapter/plugin standards, driver contracts, or architectural interfaces used by others.
Familiarity with Rust async ecosystems (tokio, tower, tracing) or Go concurrency practices.
Prior OSS governance experience — triaging issues, reviewing PRs, or working with community maintainers.
An interest in building developer-experience layers or scaffolding frameworks for adapter authors.
Qualifications:
6+ years experience in software engineering, with strong systems-level skills.
2+ years working in open-source, SDK, runtime, or low-level integration environments.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / related field or equivalent experience through industry OSS contributions.
