HEALTH CAN’T WAIT.
Not for symptoms to get worse. Not for a six‑month appointment. Not for a system to catch up. But that’s exactly how healthcare works today. You wait, until you can’t.
Alan exists to end the wait.
Health is a universal right, and we believe this right can only become real when it’s coupled with prevention. We need to stop treating health as something we repair and start treating it as something we build, every day. It’s not solely a question of willpower. It’s the healthcare system itself that needs to work for everyone, in a sustainable way.
So we are building the new standard in prevention insurance. Alan is the first company that integrates insurance, prevention, and care into a single, acclaimed user experience.
We are on an incredible journey to build a global leading company, with a unique culture https://alan.com/en/careers. We already partner with 40K+ companies of all sizes, serving more than 1M+ members, and have reached €800M+ in ARR.
Prevention as the new norm. That's what we're building with our team of 1000+ people. If it speaks to you: we're hiring across France, Spain, Belgium, and Canada. And beyond.
⭐ THE ENGINEERING TEAM ⭐
In our engineering team, we build the infrastructure, interfaces, and applications to provide first-class service to our members, health professionals, and even ourselves!
Being an engineer at Alan means joining a team of talented, committed and passionate engineers, with a lot of interactions.
We move fast, with a lot of ownership, and are proud to tackle big problems!
Our process is very simple: those who make product decisions are the same ones who build them.
We are also the stewards of our members' most sensitive data, and building privacy in by design is core engineering work for us, not an afterthought.

🛠️ THE STACK
Python/Flask, Typescript, React on the coding side. AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, Redis, Terraform/Terramate, Datadog, Cloudflare, GitHub Actions on the platform side, all in a monorepo. We deploy daily and believe in distributed ownership - you build it, you own it.
🤖 THE TECH FOUNDATIONS AREA
🎯 Mission: Tech Foundations enables product crews and creates the environment to thrive—combining world-class infrastructure, intuitive developer experience, exquisite operational excellence, and built-in security to make shipping exceptional products effortless.
🔭 Scope:
1. Infrastructure enablement for product crews (e.g. hosting improvements https://www.qovery.com/case-study/alan-case-study/, CI/CD https://medium.com/alan/moving-our-ci-cd-to-github-actions-40df3f7e4733, scalability, multi-cloud architecture)
2. Security and compliance facilitation (e.g. authentication, encryption, threat protection)
3. Developer productivity enhancements (e.g. local environment setup https://medium.com/alan/our-journey-from-react-native-to-expo-for-mobile-app-development-at-alan-%EF%B8%8F-3b1569e8ab7c, monorepo tooling https://medium.com/alan/building-debug-tooling-for-engineers-and-support-teams-alike-34cab315b9cc, observability, tech stack evolution, accessibility audits)
4. AI-assisted engineering enablement (e.g. agentic development, code assistants, MCP servers)
👀 Focus for 2026:
In 2026, we will grow the team significantly to further increase our impact. We want to expand our cloud footprint with a revisited multi-cloud strategy as we expand internationally, while we’re elevating the quality bar, from infrastructure to code foundations (backend/frontend/mobile). We are also evolving our AI-augmented development, by putting AI code assistants as a first-class citizen for everyone, including non-engineers. Ultimately we have massive ambitions around our Security stack and posture with enhanced tools and processes to protect our developers and users.

⭐ BUILD THE AI-NATIVE COMPANY, FOR REAL
Alan has spent 10 years developing a distinctive way of working: radical transparency, written culture, distributed decision-making, no managers, no meetings by default. This wasn't just philosophy. It was a deliberate architectural choice, and it made Alan one of the most productive companies in European tech.
Now, agentic AI empowers us to make it much more personalized. The principles that made Alan productive become the foundation for a much more ambitious journey: a company where AI agents handle organizational complexity, surface the right context instantly, and let every person focus on the work that matters.
The Work Environment area builds that. Alaners are our users, and our internal platform is a Tier-1 product. The team is small and growing fast, and you'll lead its engineering.
🚀 WHAT YOU'LL BUILD AND WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
- 🏠 Alan Home, the portal every Alaner opens first. The internal Operating System and the source of truth for who's who and who has access to what.
- ⚙️ The rails the company runs on. Our automation platform, Identity & Access Management, Privileged Access Management, and user lifecycle automation across 25+ systems.
- 🧱 Alan-native software instead of generic SaaS. Where a vendor forces Alan into someone else's way of working, we replace it, internalize and build our own. You'll hold the bar on which replacements earn their place, with a written case and a real ROI.
- 🧑🚀 A growing team. You'll hire it, shape it, and decide what it works on. Talent density, onboarding, feedback, and the mix of skills the area needs are yours to own.
- 🛡️ Technical direction and operational excellence. Architecture calls, quality standards, security practices, and incident response for systems that every single Alaner depends on. And you stay hands-on: at Alan, engineering leaders are expected to build.
⚡ WHY THIS ROLE IS SPECIAL
- Dual impact: Shape both technical excellence and team growth, engineers become better while building better products
- Leadership growth: Influence engineering culture, mentor future leaders, and drive technical strategy that shapes the future of healthcare delivery
- Your users sit next to you. Every Alaner uses what your team ships, every day. The feedback loop between building and impact is very short, which allows you to iterate and move quickly.
🔍 WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Leadership experience
- 3+ years leading engineering teams, with a track record of building high performers.
- You partner with other product functions as a true equal: you shape the roadmap, name trade-offs honestly, and help the team commit to what it can actually deliver.
Technical foundations
- Experience establishing engineering excellence standards, with the ability to guide architectural decisions.
- Experience with modern development practices and AI-assisted development tools
- Recent hands-on experience. You still review code, and you still write some.
What we value
- Curious, self-starting, humble, collaborative, and eager to grow.
- You develop people as much as you develop products.
- Fluent in English (French is a plus but not required).
Mission alignment:
- Healthcare technology and innovation excite you
- You understand that great engineering teams are built on psychological safety and continuous learning
🌍 HOW WE WORK
Location: you must be legally eligible to work in France, Belgium, or Spain.
Hybrid approach: amazing office spaces, sponsored co-working hubs, or full remote. We want you where you're most effective at leading and developing your team.
Growth mindset: every Alaner gets a dedicated coach from day one. As a leader, you'll have additional support for developing your leadership skills.
🎯 IMPORTANT NOTE: WE HIRE PEOPLE, NOT ROLES.
If you're excited about this opportunity but don't check every box, we'd love to hear from you. Everyone, no matter how underrepresented, should feel free to apply, as it can only bring learnings or success.

Now we're scaling our products for both agents and people to ship and run software, built in the open and trusted by OpenAI, PayPal, Ramp, Supreme, and millions of developers worldwide.
About the role
We’re looking for an FP&A Manager, Product to join our Finance team. You’ll be the financial lead for our Engineering, Product, and Design (EPD) organizations—owning OpEx and headcount planning while building scalable systems that improve visibility and decision-making. You’ll partner cross-functionally with Engineering leadership, People, and Strategic Finance to ensure investments are intentional, efficient, and aligned with long-term company strategy.
What you'll do
Own the Product investment envelope
– Manage OpEx and headcount budgets across EPD. Ensure investments align with company strategy while maintaining disciplined spend and margin targets.
Drive rigorous workforce planning across technical and corporate teams
– Build bottom-up headcount models by function and level. Partner with Engineering leaders to sequence hiring against roadmap needs, compliance requirements, and operational scale.
Model infrastructure and internal systems economics
– Develop clear forecasting models for cloud hosting, AI/compute, internal tooling, SaaS applications, and enterprise systems. Identify optimization opportunities across both product infrastructure and corporate tech stack.
Translate roadmap and corporate priorities into financial tradeoffs
– Evaluate build vs. buy decisions, capitalizable vs. expensed R&D, and vendor investments across EPD. Provide clear recommendations grounded in ROI and long-term cost structure impact.
Elevate budget vs. actuals rigor across the organization
– Lead monthly BvA reviews for EPD. Automate reporting, improve accrual accuracy, and surface actionable insights—not just variance explanations.
Design scalable financial controls without slowing teams down
– Implement approval workflows for headcount, vendor spend, and enterprise tooling that are disciplined, fast, and transparent. Use automation and AI to reduce manual review and eliminate bottlenecks.
What you need
Proven partner to Engineering leaders
– You’ve supported technical teams and corporate functions, understanding how product velocity and operational infrastructure translate into financial outcomes.
Fluent in infrastructure and SaaS cost drivers
– You understand cloud economics, AI/compute scaling, enterprise tooling, and how architecture and vendor decisions impact margins.
Strong operator in workforce planning
– You’ve managed complex headcount models across multiple departments, aligning hiring pace with financial guardrails.
Advanced financial modeler
– You build scenario-driven models with clear assumptions and sensitivity analysis that stand up to executive scrutiny.
Precision-focused and systems-oriented
– You eliminate blind spots in forecasting, improve accrual accuracy, and build processes that scale without creating bureaucracy.
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive compensation package, including equity.
Inclusive Healthcare Package.
Learn and Grow - we provide mentorship and send you to events that help you build your network and skills.
Flexible Time Off.
We will provide you the gear you need to do your role, and a WFH budget for you to outfit your space as needed.

And beyond.
MISSION
Alan is scaling internationally (800+ employees, 100+ healthcare professionals, 5+ countries) and needs IT Engineers to build and own the internal technology platform every Alaner works on: identity and provisioning, endpoint and SaaS security, the tooling behind our clinics, and the automation that keeps IT from scaling linearly with headcount.
The scope below is what the team owns, not a checklist for one person. You'll be staffed on one or two of these areas at a time, according to your strengths and interests, and it will evolve through time based on company needs and personal appetite.
Staying close to users keeps us building the right things: you'll spend up to one day a week on IT support, seeing first-hand where friction lives and what's worth automating next.
SCOPE
⚙️ PLATFORM & AUTOMATION
- Own and extend automations on Alan Home, our internal provisioning engine
- Maintain, extend and improve helpdesk automation, SaaS provisioning flows, and onboarding/offboarding pipelines
- Own the meeting room AV and room-booking platform as a product, replicable across offices
🔑 IDENTITY & ACCESS
- Own the IT side of the employee lifecycle (onboarding, offboarding, mobility between jobs and countries) across Google Workspace, SSO/SAML and our SaaS ecosystem.
- Grow our role-based access model: extend it to more tools and refine the permission groups, so access is granted by role rather than case by case
- Make employee lifecycle events reliable, fast and auditable end-to-end
- Own access reviews and least-privilege models; produce and maintain the evidence our auditors rely on
- Own SaaS procurement and license management: vendor relationships, renewals, and cost optimization across our stack
🔒 ENDPOINT & SAAS SECURITY
- Own the Mac fleet in Kandji: enrollment at scale, role-based blueprints, fleet compliance
- Cloudflare WARP, SaaS security controls
- Maintain and strengthen our ISO 27001 certification and drive ACPR and pentest remediation on the endpoint and platform scope
🩺 HEALTH PROFESSIONALS IT
- The IT layer behind Alan's clinics: practitioner tooling, equipment, access
- Role and permission automation for healthcare professionals, and their support and escalation process
🌍 INTERNATIONALISATION
- Make international expansion something IT accelerates, not something it slows down: a repeatable process where every new market (Canada, KSA, Armenia...) launches on our standard stack from day one
- Bring acquired entities onto that same platform
MILESTONES
First 3 months
- Acquire technical knowledge on Alan's platform: Alan Home, Google Workspace/SSO, Kandji, Cloudflare WARP
- Take one project end-to-end and ship a first increment
- Join the IT oncall team as technical escalation
First 6 months
- Own a workstream end-to-end
- Deliver one automation or hardening initiative end-to-end
- Take up documentation and automation on your scope and reduce significantly the bus factor on it
- Mentor IT teammates on your core expertise
First year
- Deliver measurable IT toil reduction on your scope
- Set the technical standards on your domain: how we build, document and review it
- Build strong cross-functional partnerships (Engineering, Security, Workplace, Clinic, People, Audit)
- Contribute to hiring and onboarding new teammates
3 years
- Lead major projects end-to-end across several communities
- Be the reference the team relies on across at least two domains
- Mentor the IT team and beyond, and scale IT without a linear increase in manual work
As the community grows, there is room to take on more responsibility: leading a crew, owning cross-community projects, mentoring, hiring.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Must-have - Technical/hard skills:
- 3+ years in IT engineering, platform, systems or corporate engineering, with real ownership of production-facing systems
- Depth in at least one area (platform & automation, identity, endpoint & security) and demonstrated range beyond it.
- You write code: not as a full-time software engineer, but Python, APIs and pull requests in a shared repo should feel normal
- Structured problem-solving: diagnoses methodically, asks the right clarifying questions, thinks about failure modes and rollback
- Comfort with regulated environments: health data, ACPR, ISO 27001, HDS
- Automation & AI appetite: uses AI tools smartly to accelerate their own delivery, with an instinct for what should be automated or delegated to AI rather than repeated
Must-have - Behavioral / soft skills:
- Ownership & autonomy: drives topics forward without hand-holding, including when they cross into someone else's perimeter
- Written communication: Alan is written-first; decisions get argued in public documents and challenged by people outside your team
- Pragmatic judgment: balances "perfect" vs. "good enough", decides with incomplete information
- Documentation culture: reduces bus factor through clear documentation and knowledge sharing
Nice-to-have skills / Bonus points if you have:
- Experience with an internal provisioning or IdP-driven automation platform
- Kandji or another MDM at scale
- Cloudflare Zero Trust / WARP, Datadog
- Audit remediation experience (ISO 27001, HDS)
- Multi-country rollouts, or IT integration after an acquisition
- Having mentored, coached or led a (small) crew
- Health or healthtech ecosystem familiarity

IT at Alan is more than just a helpdesk. Operations and support ('Run') take roughly 60% of your time initially, while the rest goes toward owning project-based initiatives ('Build') tailored to your experience level.
As you ramp up alongside senior engineers, your focus will naturally shift toward more build-focused work with wider impact.
The scope below is what the team owns, not a checklist for one person. We staff people according to their strengths and interests, and it evolves over time.
SCOPE
🛟 SUPPORT & ONCALL
- Own L1/L2 oncall for 900+ Alaners across 5+ countries, with a clear escalation path to engineers
- Triage, communicate to users during incidents, and escalate appropriately

- Own the full device lifecycle: procurement, zero-touch enrollment (Apple Business Manager, Kandji), repair, retrieval
- Maintain role-based Kandji blueprints and least-privilege configurations
- Contribute to device compliance across all countries (MDM, EDR, FileVault) and to audit evidence
- Own the physical side: laptop locker, hardware inventory, office equipment
- Take over day-to-day device operations as we bring them back in-house from our outsourced provider
🔑 IDENTITY, ACCESS & SAAS PLATFORMS
- Own onboarding and offboarding end-to-end, across both automated and manually-managed tools
- Administer Google Workspace, SSO/SAML, licences and access reviews
- Manage day-to-day vendor relationships and procurement on your scope
⚙️ BUILD
- Own a build project end-to-end, with a more experienced engineer to pair with and learn from
- Examples from the current roadmap: rebuilding the onboarding intake, the meeting room audiovisual equipment and room-booking revamp, the IT playbook for new offices, ISO 27001 / ACPR evidence collection
- Ship automation and self-service tooling that measurably reduces IT toil
MILESTONES
First 2 months
- Join IT oncall rotation (helpdesk) with buddy/shadowing support
- Discover Alan's processes, stack (Kandji, Apple Business Manager), SaaS ecosystem, and identity tools (Google Workspace, SSO, Alan Home)
- Handle most typical IT operations issues autonomously (equipment, SaaS access, account provisioning)
First 6 months
- Handle IT oncall shifts autonomously, solving most problems that do not require engineer input
- Own onboarding/offboarding workflows end-to-end
- Have wide knowledge of Alan's processes, equipment, and tools
- Ship a first project
First year
- Be regarded as an expert on at least one topic beyond the oncall rotation (e.g. MDM, SaaS admin, compliance documentation)
- Contribute on device compliance improvements (MDM, EDR, FileVault) across all countries
- Ship automation or self-service projects that measurably reduce IT toil, with limited guidance
- Lead small to medium IT projects end-to-end
3 years
- Fully autonomous on the User Experience & Platform workstreams
- Lead medium to high-complexity IT projects end-to-end
- Mentor newer team members, reduce bus factor through documentation, automation and knowledge sharing
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Must-have - Technical/hard skills:
- 1-3 years in IT operations (or strong internship / student association background in a tech environment): device management (MDM, ideally Kandji), SaaS administration, basic identity & access management (Google Workspace, SSO)
- Operational reflexes: can triage issues, communicate to users during incidents, and escalate appropriately. Has oncall or production support experience
- Automation & AI appetite: scripting basics (Python, Bash) or low-code, and an instinct for what should be automated or delegated to AI rather than repeated
- Documentation mindset: writes clear, structured documentation
- Learning velocity: Picks up new tools and processes quickly.
Must-have - Behavioral / soft skills:
- Written-First Communication: Clear, effective written communicator who instinctively documents workflows, shares knowledge transparently, and thrives in an asynchronous work culture.
- Empathetic Problem-Solving: Balanced user-first service mindset with operational pragmatism—delighting colleagues while diagnosing root causes rather than applying band-aid fixes.
- Autonomous Growth: Self-directed problem solver who takes early project ownership, learns rapidly alongside senior engineers, and actively seeks feedback to level up.
Nice-to-have skills / Bonus points if you have:
- macOS fluency: comfortable troubleshooting macOS, understands the Apple ecosystem (Apple Business Manager, DEP enrollment)
- Experience with Kandji specifically
- Exposure to security compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, HDS), even just awareness
- SaaS vendor management and/or license administration
- Interest in automation and coding (even from college/school projects)
- Experience in a fast-growing, multi-country tech company
