Role Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Research Engineer to join our newly forming Search and Services Platform team within Research Platform. You will build and operate the large-scale search and services that our models rely on as tools — from self-hosted, web-scale, search indexes to knowledge graphs and databases served through MCP. You will work closely with researchers and with the pretraining data, sandbox and data platform teams to make these services reliable, scalable and fast, on infrastructure measured in hundreds of terabytes of NVMe storage and thousands of CPU cores to support both data generation and critical training runs.
What you will do
As a Research Engineer on the Search and Services team, your responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):
- Designing, building and operating large-scale search infrastructure: self-hosted Vespa clusters indexing web-scale corpora, managed indexes for smaller corpora, and vendor search endpoints.
- Self-hosting and maintaining a wide range of structured data sources — knowledge graphs (Wikidata, UniProt, Materials Project), scholarly data (OpenAlex, OpenAIRE), statistical databases (Eurostat, World Bank, IMF, OECD), open data portals and more.
- Designing interfaces and tools to expose to the models and agents to use the services in different ways (direct YQL or SPARQL queries, or more refined and constrained MCPs to mimic external services) to support data generation and agentic training.
- Building the data pipelines that ingest, index and serve massive datasets, including indexing our own pretraining corpora for exploration, deduplication and eval-leakage checks.
- Building strong relationships with researchers and adjacent teams (pretraining data,, sandbox, data platform), understanding their workflows and enabling them to achieve more by leveraging your expertise.
- Communicating and producing documentation or any content that will help teams make the most of the services you'll build.
About you
- 5+ years of successful experience in search engineering, data infrastructure, or a similar SRE / platform role.
- Proficiency in software development (Python, Go...) and programming best practices.
- Hands-on experience with large-scale search or data systems (e.g. Vespa, Elasticsearch / OpenSearch, ClickHouse or similar).
- Exposure to site reliability engineering: root cause analysis, in-production troubleshooting, on-call rotations...)
- Exposure to infrastructure management: containerization, orchestration (Kubernetes), infra-as-code, monitoring, logging, alerting, observability...).
- Experience designing and operating data pipelines that address large amounts of data.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills (ability to contextualizing, gauging risks and getting buy-in for high stakes and impactful solutions).
- Ownership, high agency and constantly seeking to learn and improving things for others.
- Autonomous, self-driven and able to work well in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Low ego and team spirit mindset.
- Your application will be all the more interesting if you also have:
- First-hand Vespa (or equivalent large-scale information retrieval) experience.
- Experience building or operating MCP servers / tool-serving infrastructure for LLMs.
- Familiarity with knowledge graphs, RDF / SPARQL, or large structured databases (PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, DuckDB...).
- Experience with large bare-metal infrastructure or HPC environments.

Location: Australia
Workplace: Remote
Role highlights:
- Business Development Manager
- Location: Any Australian state capital city, Canberra preferred
- Department: Data Sales
- Reports to: Data Sales Director, Australia & New Zealand
- Employment type: Permanent
- Workplace model: Remote first, frequent travel expected
- Employment is subject to applicable security screening (incl. SUPO, where required)
Why this role matters:
As a Business Development Manager, you’ll bridge the gap between ICEYE’s world-leading ISR satellite capability and the people who use space-based geospatial intelligence at the sharp end of Australian and New Zealand (ANZ) defence and national security. You will open doors, build credibility, and ensure the ANZ’s most important intelligence users understand what makes ICEYE genuinely different.
ICEYE is not the traditional defence prime. ICEYE is a different proposition entirely. We are one of the world’s fastest-growing space companies, and we are only at the beginning of what we intend to build in the ANZ region – not only in defence and intelligence, but across a range of industry verticals where geospatial intelligence is a critical need.
From day one, you'll own the full sales cycle for Data Sales business clients — identifying opportunities, shaping deals, and closing multi-year contracts — with the autonomy to move at pace and build the strategic relationships that expand ICEYE's presence across the ANZ market.
Who We Are
ICEYE is the world leader in sovereign intelligence from space. We deliver persistent monitoring capabilities to detect and respond to changes in any location on Earth.
ICEYE owns the world's largest and most advanced SAR (synthetic aperture radar) satellite constellation. To our customers we provide intelligence with unmatched quality, latency and revisit times, in any weather, day or night. To governments who choose to operate their own constellation, we provide this proven capability as a sovereign system as both a data and managed service business.
ICEYE serves customers in defence and intelligence, environmental monitoring, insurance, mining, maritime and emergency management. We enable fast decisions that contribute to a safer future.
ICEYE is expanding both satellite technological capabilities and its advanced data processing product suite, and over time the range and breadth of data products will increase. This is a learning role that will span a range of industries and use cases.
Founded and headquartered in Finland, ICEYE operates globally with over 1200 employees across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.
Your day-to-day responsibilities
- Report to the ANZ Data Sales team
- Build and maintain a trusted network of Intelligence and GEOINT practitioners across ANZ defence, intelligence and other industries: attending user engagements, demonstrations, and briefings to represent ICEYE credibly at the working level and stay close to user needs, priorities, and procurement timelines.
- Advise internal ICEYE teams (Missions, Data and Solutions) on how ANZ military and intelligence users consume intelligence imagery, what tradecraft matters, and how to frame ICEYE’s products in language that resonates with analysts and collection managers.
- Identify key decision-influencers across ANZ target organisations, and plan, host, and lead ICEYE engagements, from technical demonstrations to senior roundtables, to build trust and advance ICEYE’s standing.
- Participate as needed in ANZ military exercises that incorporate ICEYE capability, representing ICEYE at the operational level and capturing lessons that feed back into product and service development.
- Maintain strong CRM discipline and provide clear market intelligence to support business planning and decision-making.
- Produce responses to RFPs, proposals, inbound enquiries, assist with promotional material and attend relevant industry events.
What we’re looking for
Must haves:
- An established personal network within the ANZ geospatial community at the working and mid-senior level (people who will take your call)
- 5+ years of strategic sales or enterprise business development experience in the aerospace, defence, space, ISR, earth observation, or related government technology sector.
- Proven experience selling to ANZ government, defence, or public sector organisations, with an existing network you can activate from day one
- Strong understanding of earth observation, ISR, or satellite-based capabilities, ideally including SAR.
- Proven ability to run complex sales cycles, including lead qualification, opportunity development, capture planning, stakeholder mapping, and deal closure.
- Willingness to travel as required, primarily across the ANZ region and to Europe.
Nice to haves:
- Currently serving as a reservist, or recently transitioned from active duty within the last five years.
- Familiarity with SAR (and other ISR) geospatial satellite products, or experience working with commercial SAR (and other ISR) providers.
- Experience using Salesforce or another CRM.
- Sales training in Miller Heiman, Korn Ferry, Shipley, or a similar methodology
- Holds current ANZ Defence Security Clearance
Application Process
- Recruiter interview
- Hiring Manager Interview
- Peer interview(s)
- VP interview

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
As Manager of the EMEA Digital Natives Applied AI Architecture team, you'll drive adoption of frontier AI across Europe's fastest-growing technology companies: SaaS scale-ups, fintechs, marketplaces, consumer platforms, and developer-tooling businesses. A strong grasp of developer tooling, SDKs, and the integration patterns common in modern software companies
Enjoyment of building foundational teams in unstructured, fast-moving environments
Strong executive presence and the ability to build deep trust with CTOs, engineering leaders, and technical founders
Excellent communication, collaboration, and coaching skills
The ability to make ambiguous problems clear and find principles that carry across scenarios
A passion for making powerful technology safe and beneficial, with a habit of thinking beyond past checklists and playbooks

Visa sponsorship:
We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification.
Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.
Your safety matters to us.
To protect yourself from potential scams, remember that Anthropic recruiters only contact you from @anthropic.com email addresses. In some cases, we may partner with vetted recruiting agencies who will identify themselves as working on behalf of Anthropic. Be cautious of emails from other domains. How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

HEALTH CAN’T WAIT.
Not for symptoms to get worse. Not for a six‑month appointment. Not for a system to catch up. But that’s exactly how healthcare works today. You wait, until you can’t.
Alan exists to end the wait.
Health is a universal right, and we believe this right can only become real when it’s coupled with prevention. We need to stop treating health as something we repair and start treating it as something we build, every day. It’s not solely a question of willpower. It’s the healthcare system itself that needs to work for everyone, in a sustainable way.
So we are building the new standard in prevention insurance. Alan is the first company that integrates insurance, prevention, and care into a single, acclaimed user experience.
We are on an incredible journey to build a global leading company, with a unique culture https://alan.com/en/careers. We already partner with 40K+ companies of all sizes, serving more than 1M+ members, and have reached €800M+ in ARR.
Prevention as the new norm. That's what we're building with our team of 1000+ people. If it speaks to you: we're hiring across France, Spain, Belgium, and Canada. And beyond.
In West Africa, people wait for symptoms to get worse, wait months for an appointment, and depend on a health system stuck in paper and manual processes. We exist to end that wait.
Founded in 2022 in Senegal, Tanel is the first digital health insurer in francophone West Africa, operating in Senegal and Côte d'Ivoire. With 30,000+ members, a network of 1,200+ health facilities and 400+ pharmacies, and revenue multiplied by 7 in 2025, Tanel has proven real product-market fit.
In 2026, Alan, Europe's prevention-first health insurer (€950M+ revenue, 1M+ members in France, Belgium, Spain and Canada), acquired Tanel to accelerate its expansion in Africa. Together, we are building the reference health insurer in francophone West Africa, aiming for $200M in revenue by 2030.
🚀 WHY JOIN NOW?
Care is our members' first point of contact, and today it runs on the energy of a small, committed team: about 5 people across Dakar and Abidjan, answering members, HR admins and providers on WhatsApp, phone, email and the app.
What got us here will not get us to the next stage:
- Scale: our member base is set to grow several times over in the next 3 years.
- Expansion: after Senegal and Côte d'Ivoire, we plan to open new countries in the coming years.
- Integration: we are moving Care Africa onto Alan's ways of working (KPIs, rituals, playbooks) and, in 2027, onto Alan's tools and platform.
- Performance: we need to structure our KPIs: what we measure, why, and how we act on it, from response times to member satisfaction.
This is a rare chance to shape a Care organization from the ground up, with the backing of a Care Ops team that has already done it in several countries (France, Belgium, Spain, Canada).
⭐ THE ROLE
As Care Ops for Alan Africa, you are the most senior Care person on the ground. You do not manage the team directly: our crew lead does. You own the transformation: how the team is organized, how it grows, how it performs, and how it converges with the rest of Alan. You are part of Alan's global Care Ops team, and you bring local reality into global decisions as much as you bring global practices to Africa.
Your missions include:
1/ Design and roll out the target operating model
- Turn Alan's Care model into a version that works for Senegal and Côte d'Ivoire: how agents split their time between members and improvement work, opening hours, weekends, service levels we commit to.
- Define the team structure for the next 3 years: roles, tiers, one team or one per country.
- Set up outsourcing where it makes sense, and manage the performance of our external partners.
- Build the hiring plan with the crew lead and take part in recruitment, including final-round validation.
2/ Lead the integration with Alan
- Bring Alan's KPIs, rituals and playbooks to the local team, and make sure they stick through training and follow-up.
- Help the crew lead grow the team and coach agents into Care Experts who own improvement projects.
3/ Own operational performance, quality and tools
- Structure our KPIs and reporting: what we measure, why, and how we review it every week, including member satisfaction on WhatsApp and phone.
- Diagnose root causes behind delays, backlogs and member pain points, and turn them into concrete actions.
- Make sure our tools (ticketing, WhatsApp, phone) are set up and fully operational, and lead the transition to Alan's stack with Product, so local needs are built in.
- Provide the inputs (volumes, hours, productivity) that feed our staffing model and budget, and challenge the outputs.
4/ Be the bridge between local and global
- Represent Care Africa in Alan's Care community: share what works, raise what doesn't, contribute to global projects.
- Contribute to Care's strategic plan, for Africa and at global level.
⭐ YOU WILL EXCEL IN THIS ROLE IF YOU
- Have 5+ years of experience in customer service or customer experience operations, including structuring, scaling or turning around a team.
- Have led change in teams or functions you did not manage, and know how to earn buy-in rather than impose a playbook.
- Are data-fluent: you set and track the right KPIs, read and challenge an analysis, and use numbers to make decisions. You do not need to build forecasting models.
- Are fluent in French and work comfortably in English, written and spoken.
- Know the West African context and adapt your approach to the people and the market you work with.
- Are structured, autonomous and at ease with ambiguity: much is still to be defined, and you will help define it.
- Care deeply about access to healthcare and want to have a real impact on members' lives.
Strong pluses: experience in health, insurance or assistance; managing outsourcing partners; leading a CRM or tooling migration; running WhatsApp or phone-heavy support; speaking Wolof.
🎁 WHAT WE OFFER
- Permanent contract, full time, based in our Dakar office, with regular trips to Abidjan.
- A central role in a fast-growing African healthtech, backed by Alan's global Care team.
- Comprehensive health insurance through Alan for you and your family.
- All the tools you need to do your best work.
- Learning and training opportunities: a flexible policy, budgets for books and conferences.
- For this role, we are hiring within the C to E level range https://alan.com/en/careers/a/salary-equity (pay scale to confirm).
🎯 IMPORTANT NOTE: WE HIRE PEOPLE, NOT ROLES
If this role excites you but you don't tick every box, we would love to hear from you. Everyone, including people from underrepresented groups, should feel free to apply: either we succeed, or we learn.

ABOUT MISTRAL
Mistral provides full-stack AI solutions: from frontier models to developer tools, applications, and compute. We partner with enterprises tackling the hardest problems across high-stakes industries like finance, manufacturing, defense, healthcare, and the public sector, co-creating customized AI systems that they can run on their terms.
We are a dynamic, collaborative team passionate about AI and its potential to transform society. Our diverse workforce thrives in competitive environments and is committed to driving innovation. Our teams are distributed between Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East. We are creative, low-ego and team-spirited.
As a Research Engineer on the Orchestral team, you will help build the agentic platform we use to train and evaluate our models. Orchestral is the system our researchers rely on to run training and evaluation at scale — from the rollout engine that powers agentic workflows to the infrastructure that keeps their workloads running reliably. What you build becomes the foundation the whole science team works on.
Your work will span the platform's core: the library, tooling, abstractions and rollout engine — including new capabilities like long-running tasks, subagents and RL features — and the machinery that runs data and jobs at scale, with a focus on resiliency, routing and request handling. You will own significant pieces end to end, from design to production.
This is a software engineering role rather than an ML or infrastructure-operations one: RL or PyTorch experience is not required, and you will spend your time building the platform, not operating it. You will be building a distributed RL system, with the scientists as your users.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Design and build the core of the Orchestral platform: the library, abstractions and tooling researchers use to train and evaluate models.
- Build and evolve the rollout engine, shipping new capabilities such as long-running tasks and subagents.
- Run Orchestral as a production system: keep training and evaluation workloads reliable at scale.
- Improve how data and jobs flow through the platform as usage grows — scheduling, routing and request handling.
- Treat researchers as your users: understand their workflows and turn recurring needs into robust, shared tooling.
- Raise the bar on engineering quality across the platform: testing, code review, CI/CD, observability and documentation.
- Contribute to open-source rollout-engine and agent-infrastructure projects where it benefits the platform.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Experience directly building and debugging complex distributed systems at scale, with an emphasis on reliability and scalability.
- Strong Python skills and solid software-design instincts: testing, code review, CI/CD.
- A builder mindset: you have constructed systems from the ground up, not just operated polished ones.
- A track record in small teams running complex systems at scale — for example in finance, crypto or ad tech.
- Self-starter, low-ego and collaborative, with a product mindset toward your users.
- Curiosity about ML and RL — this experience is not required, but a desire to learn is.
NICE-TO-HAVES
- Hands-on experience with Ray or similar distributed-computing frameworks.
- Open-source contributions, especially to rollout-engine or agent-infrastructure projects such as SLIME, verl or PrimeRL.
- Experience building or working with agentic workflows and environments.

(OIDC/Keycloak, Kubernetes, Istio)
