HEALTH CAN’T WAIT.
Not for symptoms to get worse. Not for a six‑month appointment. Not for a system to catch up. But that’s exactly how healthcare works today. You wait, until you can’t.
Alan exists to end the wait.
Health is a universal right, and we believe this right can only become real when it’s coupled with prevention. We need to stop treating health as something we repair and start treating it as something we build, every day. It’s not solely a question of willpower. It’s the healthcare system itself that needs to work for everyone, in a sustainable way.
So we are building the new standard in prevention insurance. Alan is the first company that integrates insurance, prevention, and care into a single, acclaimed user experience.
We are on an incredible journey to build a global leading company, with a unique culture https://alan.com/en/careers. We already partner with 40K+ companies of all sizes, serving more than 1M+ members, and have reached €800M+ in ARR.
Prevention as the new norm. That's what we're building with our team of 1000+ people. If it speaks to you: we're hiring across France, Spain, Belgium, and Canada. And beyond.
⭐ THE ENGINEERING TEAM ⭐
In our engineering team, we build the infrastructure, interfaces, and applications to provide first-class service to our members, health professionals, and even ourselves!
Being an engineer at Alan means joining a team of talented, committed and passionate engineers, with a lot of interactions.
We move fast, with a lot of ownership, and are proud to tackle big problems!
Our process is very simple: those who make product decisions are the same ones who build them.
We are also the stewards of our members' most sensitive data, and building privacy in by design is core engineering work for us, not an afterthought.

🛠️ THE STACK
Python/Flask, Typescript, React, React Native on the coding side. AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, Redis, Terraform/Terramate, Datadog, Cloudflare, GitHub Actions on the platform side, all in a monorepo. We deploy daily and believe in distributed ownership - you build it, you own it.
🤖 THE DATA FOUNDATIONS CREW - WITHIN THE TECH FOUNDATIONS AREA
🎯 MISSION
- Tech Foundations - enables product crews and creates the environment to thrive, combining world-class infrastructure, intuitive developer experience, exquisite operational excellence, and built-in security to make shipping exceptional products effortless.
- Data Foundations - is one of its crews. Its mission: be the enabling and platform team for data lifecycle and privacy engineering across Alan: retention, deletion, anonymization, and pseudonymization, by design. It builds and runs the GDPR Orchestrator (the platform's current embodiment) and equips each area to own its own data rules on top of it. The team also handles data shared with third parties and partners, with Legal and Security on requirements, including authority-facing work (e.g. CNIL).
🔭 SCOPE
1. Own and evolve the privacy platform (build & run): its core engine, its safety mechanisms (preview/dry-run, audit trail), and its operational health (deploys, on-call, observability). You design the contract areas build on and keep it reliable as adoption grows.
2. Build the paved road (enable, teach to fish): docs, templates, and self-serve tooling so any of our 15+ areas can plug into the platform and manage its own data rules and dependencies. You coach areas through pairing and syncs; you build the capability rather than doing the work for them.
3. Coordinate across areas (the cross-area bridge): align legal, security, data, and the data-producing areas on requirements, surface cross-area data dependencies, and resolve design trade-offs between them. You own the coordination; each area stays accountable for its own data and rules.
4. Push the foundations forward: drive open platform design questions to a conclusion and grow the platform's capabilities as Alan's data, products, and footprint expand.
👀 FOCUS FOR 2026
- Own the platform: become the long-term owner of the GDPR Orchestrator and shape the roadmap for how Alan manages data lifecycle at scale.
- Raise the bar on the platform: invest in its safety, observability, and developer experience so areas build on it with confidence.
- Lay the paved road: ship the docs, templates, and tooling that let areas self-serve, then move ownership of data rules to the areas that produce the data.
- Scale the surface: grow the platform's reach across data stores and third-party systems as Alan expands into new countries.
⭐ IS IT YOU WE'RE LOOKING FOR?
EXPERIENCE WE VALUE
- Senior-level experience (typically 8+ years) in backend or platform software engineering, or equivalent, with deep production ownership (API and contract design, data modeling, running what you ship).
- You've built and operated platforms, libraries, or services that other engineers depend on, and you care about the contract you expose to them.
- You're comfortable operating across many teams and influencing without authoritarianism: getting legal, security, data, and product crews who don't report to you aligned on a plan, and driving it to completion.
- You bring pragmatism under constraint: you ship sound, safe solutions and improve them over time, rather than waiting for perfect.
- Strong plus: prior privacy, GDPR, or data-governance exposure, and experience working in an enabling or platform-team operating model.
- Explicitly not required: deep legal expertise. Legal and security partner with this role; they don't get replaced by it.
MINDSET WE VALUE
- You treat platform engineering as product work: engineers and members are your customers, and doing the right thing with their data should feel effortless.
- You're hands-on: writing code is the bulk of the job (Python, TypeScript). You ship what you write to production yourself, then operate it: rollouts, alerting, on-call, incident response.
- You design and communicate: you're as comfortable writing a framing doc, drawing a dependency map, and aligning several areas on a design decision as you are writing the code.
- You're an enabler: you measure your impact by how fast areas run their own data rules without ever consulting you. The harder you've worked, the less they have to engage you.
- You build reusable patterns: guardrails, libraries, and safe-by-default abstractions that keep data handling correct and safe by design at scale.
- You're fluent in English (French is not required).
For this opportunity, we are aiming to hire above the E level range https://medium.com/alan/a-new-iteration-of-our-engineering-career-path-at-alan-f46f7b229b2d.
But above all, we are looking for high potential and curiosity: make sure to show us this when you apply! Everything else is a bonus.
🌍 HOW WE WORK
- Location: You must be legally eligible to work in France, Belgium, or Spain.
- Remote work: We offer remote work flexibility, but we value in-person collaboration.
🎯 IMPORTANT NOTE: WE HIRE PEOPLE, NOT ROLES.
If you're excited about this opportunity but don't check every box, we'd love to hear from you. Everyone, no matter how underrepresented, should feel free to apply, as it can only bring learnings or success.
If you identify yourself as a woman: Did you know that research shows women often apply only when meeting 100% of requirements?
Remember, this is just a guide, not a checklist.
We'll be thrilled to receive your application!

⭐️ THE DATA FOUNDATIONS TEAM ⭐
At Alan, every decision we make about our members' care, contracts and claims is a data decision. The Data Foundations team builds the platform that makes those decisions possible in a safe way.
- Being part of the Data Foundations team means you’ll build, maintain, and improve the Data Platform used by everyone at Alan.
- We enable Alan’s data-driven nature and help our colleagues make the most of their data.
- Partner closely with people across Alan (technical and non-technical) to understand their needs and build data solutions they can trust and use effectively.
- We own and manage all data-related tools that power Alan.
- AI is changing the way companies work with data: agents are becoming first-class users of our data warehouse. It opens a world of new usage and exciting features, as well as concerns around security, data quality and governance. We are building the foundations that allow Alan to make the most of this exciting new paradigm.
- Alan is expanding quickly: we went from 4 to 6 countries this year and we won’t stop there. Our objective is to onboard new countries in weeks, not months. Having strong data foundations is a cornerstone of that expansion, allowing our teams to make sense of a patchwork of insurance systems, regulations and reporting rules.
- Examples of our missions:
- improve the developer experience when building and maintaining data pipelines,
- enable reliable and secure access to our data warehouse for Alaners and AI agents,

- Our core tools include Python, Airflow, Snowflake, AWS/GCP, Metabase, Terraform, dbt, and others.
- Who you'll work with: Data Foundations is a small, high-leverage team inside the Tech Foundations area, whose mission is to enable product crews through world-class infrastructure, developer experience, operational excellence, and built-in security. You'd be joining as one of its core engineers, working daily with the whole Data community at Alan.
🎯 EXPECTED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
You would thrive at Alan if most of this sounds like you:
- Passionate about owning ambitious problems and developing simple solutions for them.
- 3+ years of experience demonstrating impact in Data positions. We welcome candidates from early-career to highly experienced profiles. You may already have strong expertise in Data Engineering, or be an experienced data or software engineer looking to deepen your specialization in this area.
- Experience building and operating production data infrastructure: orchestration (Airflow or similar), a cloud data warehouse, infrastructure as code.
- Experience designing systems, tools or libraries used by other engineers, scientists or analysts.
- Proficient in Python and SQL. Setting a high standard of rigor and precision for yourself, interested in your craft.
- Curious about AI and eager to use it thoughtfully to increase your impact.
- Great listening and communication skills.
- Humble, kind, collaborative, and still willing to grow (no matter your seniority!).
- Fluent and clear in English, both oral and written (no need to speak French!).
For this role, we are looking to hire within the C0-E level range https://alan.com/en/careers/a/salary-equity.

About Vercel:
Vercel is the agentic infrastructure company, freeing people and agents to ship what's next. For more than a decade we've helped builders move from idea to production with speed, security, and exceptional developer experience.
Now we're scaling our products for both agents and people to ship and run software, built in the open and trusted by OpenAI, PayPal, Ramp, Supreme, and millions of developers worldwide.
About the role
AI Gateway gives developers one place to connect applications and agents to hundreds of models with one API key. It handles provider routing and fallbacks, unifies billing and observability, and lets teams manage spend and security controls across production AI workloads.
Designing this well is a systems problem. A developer should be able to choose the right model, make and verify a first request, diagnose a failed request, and configure routing, budgets, credentials, and security controls without losing sight of the application they are trying to build. The right interface might be in the dashboard, on the public model catalog, in the CLI, in an API response, or in code.
You will be the Design Engineer for AI Gateway, owning product design and frontend implementation across those surfaces. You will work with customers, a Product Manager, and engineers to understand the problem, explore solutions, build the production experience, ship it, and learn from what happens after launch.
AI Gateway is live, the model ecosystem changes every week, and the team can move from an observed problem to production quickly. This is a rare chance to use your product judgment, design craft, and code to shape a developer product and ship the experience yourself.
You will be the design owner embedded with a Product Manager and a dedicated engineering team. You will also have the Product Design team around you for critique, collaboration, and support. AI Gateway will be your main product area, with room to pursue design-led improvements across Vercel. You will report to the Design Team.
If you’re based within a pre-determined commuting distance of one of our offices (SF, NY, London, or Berlin), the role includes in-office anchor days on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. If you're located beyond that distance, the role is fully remote. For location-specific details, please connect with our recruiting team.
What you'll do
Own product design and frontend implementation for meaningful parts of the journey from discovering a model to making a first successful request and operating AI in production.
Design and build production experiences across the website, dashboard, CLI, and APIs, choosing the right medium for each problem.
Make models, providers, credentials, routing, budgets, logs, performance, privacy, and governance understandable, then create patterns that extend across new providers, modalities, and workloads.
Talk directly with customers and use product data to understand problems, define success, make tradeoffs, and improve what ships.
Own quality after launch, including visual and interaction craft, accessibility, performance, resilience, instrumentation, and edge cases.
Use coding agents to explore and implement ideas quickly, while testing, debugging, and taking responsibility for what ships.
What you need
Your work shows what you personally identified, designed, built, shipped, and learned after launch.
You build production-quality web applications with React and TypeScript and can contribute confidently in a large, existing codebase.
You bring strong visual and interaction craft and have made technical or data-rich products understandable without removing the control advanced users need.
You can move between graphical interfaces, CLI workflows, API behavior, and implementation details, treating accessibility, performance, failure recovery, and instrumentation as part of the design.
You use customer research and product data to make decisions, communicate your reasoning clearly, challenge ideas constructively, and change direction when the evidence changes.
You use coding agents in your daily work, but you can explain, test, debug, and take responsibility for the code they help produce.
There is no required path into this role. You may come from product design, frontend engineering, creative development, or a career that does not fit a standard title. We care about the quality of what you have shipped and the judgment behind it.
Bonus if you
Have experience with developer tools, infrastructure products, model marketplaces, or observability experiences.
Have worked with AI models, providers, inference platforms, guardrails, or AI application tooling.
Have experience with APIs, command-line tools, structured product content, or agent-facing interfaces.
Have built an application or agent with Vercel’s AI SDK or AI Gateway.

Own the hunt. Open doors. Win the business.
We’re looking for an ambitious and commercially driven
Account Director
to join our growing sales team and help accelerate our expansion across ASEAN.
This is a
true hunting role
. You’ll be responsible for identifying and winning new business across strategic target accounts, building relationships with senior decision-makers and taking opportunities through the full sales cycle — from prospecting and first conversation through to negotiation and close.
You’ll need to be comfortable creating opportunities where none currently exist, navigating complex organisations and selling consultatively to senior marketing and business leaders.
This is an opportunity for an experienced sales professional who wants significant ownership, autonomy and a direct impact on revenue growth.
What You’ll Do
Own new business acquisition:
Identify, target and win new clients across ASEAN, with a strong focus on strategic and enterprise accounts.
Build your own pipeline:
Proactively prospect into target accounts using research, outbound engagement, networking, referrals and creative approaches to open new doors.
Penetrate strategic accounts:
Develop account strategies to identify multiple stakeholders, understand organisational priorities and create relationships across the buying committee.
Engage senior decision-makers:
Build credible relationships with Directors, VPs and C-level stakeholders across marketing, demand generation, sales and related functions.
Own the full sales cycle:
Lead opportunities from prospecting and discovery through solution development, commercial negotiation, procurement and close.
Sell consultatively:
Understand the client's business challenges, objectives and priorities and connect them to solutions that deliver measurable value.
Drive significant revenue:
Consistently achieve and exceed individual revenue targets through disciplined pipeline generation, opportunity management and deal execution.
Create strategic opportunities:
Identify whitespace within target accounts and develop new opportunities rather than relying on existing relationships or inbound demand.
Manage complex sales:
Navigate multiple stakeholders, longer sales cycles and commercially complex negotiations while maintaining momentum and deal control.
Expand relationships:
Once new business is secured, identify opportunities to deepen relationships, expand into additional teams or markets and increase account value.
Maintain strong forecasting discipline:
Own your pipeline, accurately forecast revenue and maintain clear visibility across opportunities, next steps and close plans.
Collaborate cross-functionally:
Partner with marketing, campaign, delivery and client success teams to develop compelling solutions and ensure a strong transition from sale to execution.
Be a market advisor:
Stay close to developments across B2B marketing, demand generation, ABM, digital marketing and the technology sector, bringing relevant insight into client conversations.
What We’re Looking For
5–8+ years of B2B sales experience
, ideally within technology, SaaS, media, advertising, demand generation, marketing or a related environment.
A
proven track record of hunting and winning new business
, particularly within mid-market or enterprise organisations.
Demonstrated success
consistently meeting or exceeding significant revenue targets
.
Strong experience owning the
entire sales cycle
, including prospecting, discovery, solution selling, negotiation and closing.
Proven ability to
open doors into net-new accounts
and build relationships from the ground up.
Comfortable selling to
senior marketing, sales and business stakeholders
, including VP and C-level decision-makers.
Strong strategic account planning skills and the ability to identify buying committees, business priorities and commercial opportunities.
Excellent consultative selling, presentation, negotiation and commercial skills.
A strong understanding of
B2B marketing, demand generation, ABM, digital marketing or the technology ecosystem
is highly advantageous.
Commercially astute, resilient and persistent, with the ability to maintain momentum through complex sales cycles.
Highly self-motivated and accountable, with a strong sense of ownership over pipeline and revenue.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
A collaborative team player who can operate independently while working effectively across a broader commercial organisation.
The Person We’re Looking For
You are a
hunter by nature
.
You don't wait for leads to be handed to you. You know how to identify the right accounts, find the right people, create a reason to engage and turn a cold prospect into a commercial conversation.
You are comfortable operating at senior levels and can hold your own in conversations with experienced marketing and business leaders. You understand that enterprise sales is rarely about one conversation or one contact — it's about building a compelling business case, navigating stakeholders and creating momentum towards a decision.
You're commercially ambitious, resilient and competitive, but you also know how to build genuine relationships.
Most importantly, you
take ownership
. You own your territory, your pipeline, your opportunities and your number.

full ownership of their number
.
Experience or understanding of

You’re not someone who waits for an SDR to hand you a meeting.
You’re naturally curious about businesses, know how to identify an opportunity, and are confident picking up the phone, sending the message or finding the right person to start a conversation.
You’re competitive but collaborative, commercially minded and motivated by results. You take ownership of your pipeline, your clients and, most importantly,
your number
.
What We Offer
Career Growth:
Join a high-growth organisation with genuine opportunities to develop your sales career.

ABOUT THE TEAM
Teams do their best work when they’re aligned, and alignment depends on shared context. Today, the context that matters most to a team is scattered across a dozen tools: tickets in Jira and Linear, specs in Confluence and Google Docs, decisions buried in meeting notes, threads in Slack and Teams. Every new conversation starts with someone hunting it down.
We’re changing that. The Integrated Workflows team is building the layer that brings a team’s real working context into Mural, so people (and the AI working alongside them) can align on shared knowledge and design the workflows they need. When this works, a person opens a canvas and the project, the open work, the last three meetings, and the doc everyone keeps referencing are already there. No team should have to start from a blank canvas. That’s the problem we’re solving, and we’re early enough that the person in this seat will shape how it’s done.
YOUR MISSION
This isn’t connector maintenance. You’ll be defining how an AI-native product reaches into the outside world: what context to pull, how to represent it so models can reason over it, how to respect permissions and privacy across systems that each model them differently, and how to make all of that feel effortless to the end user. Few teams anywhere are working at this intersection of AI, integrations, and collaborative product design.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Design and build connectors, including MCP-based connectors, that bring context from systems of record, docs and wikis (Confluence, Google Docs, Notion, and others), meeting notes, and communication tools into the Mural canvas
- Shape how that context is modeled, normalized, and made useful to users, so the canvas becomes a live picture of how a team works rather than a snapshot of one meeting
- Bridge product and engineering: translate messy realities (different auth models, data shapes, rate limits, permission systems, partner review processes) into a product experience that just works
- Build the integration platform, the shared frameworks, services, and patterns that let any team at Mural ship connected, context-aware experiences without starting from scratch
- Own the security and trust posture of everything crossing our system boundary, including permissions, data handling, and graceful behavior when an upstream service misbehaves
- Maintain and evolve our public API with the backwards-compatibility discipline a published interface demands
- Lead projects end to end, from research and prototyping through release and iteration, with a bias toward getting value into customers’ hands quickly
- Use AI tools as a core part of how you build, and help the team get better at it
- Mentor colleagues, contribute to technical design, and raise the bar on code quality, testing, and documentation
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- A product mindset: you care about why something is being built and who it’s for, not just how
- 5+ years building and shipping production software at scale, with fluency in TypeScript/JavaScript and Node.js (React and Python are a plus)
- Hands-on experience integrating with third-party APIs and platforms: OAuth and token lifecycle, webhooks, rate limiting and backoff, pagination, versioning, and degrading gracefully when things fail
- Genuine curiosity about AI-driven products and development practices, and a willingness to experiment
- A track record of designing scalable, reliable systems and delivering them iteratively
- Strong communication skills and comfort leading technical discussions and navigating trade-offs
NICE TO HAVE
- Familiarity with the Model Context Protocol (MCP) or interest in learning it
- Experience with the Microsoft ecosystem (Teams, Office add-ins) or shipping through a partner marketplace or app review process
- Experience designing or maintaining a public developer API
- Background in high-growth or startup environments
Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

OUR USE OF AI IN HIRING
We use AI tools to help manage our recruitment process efficiently and fairly. Specifically:
- Ashby and Brainerr help us review inbound applications by surfacing candidates who best match the role requirements we've defined. This tool does not make hiring decisions; it helps our team prioritize which applications to review first.
- Granola takes notes during our interview calls so our team can focus on the conversation with you.
All hiring decisions are made by humans. Our team reviews applications, conducts interviews, and makes final selections. AI tools assist us but never replace human judgment, and these practices are conducted in compliance with applicable data protection, AI governance, and labor laws. Your data is not used to train AI models.
In accordance with New York City Local Law 144, an independent bias audit has been conducted on "Automated Employment Decision Tools"; results are available for Ashby https://www.ashbyhq.com/downloadables/ashby-bias-audit-08-2024.pdf.

BUILDING THE FUTURE OF OPEN FINANCE
Payward - the parent company behind Kraken, NinjaTrader, Breakout, xStocks, Payward Services and CF Benchmarks - has spent the last 15 years building one of the most modern and globally accessible financial infrastructure platforms in the industry, built to advance an open, global financial system.
THE TEAM
Founded in 2011, Kraken is one of the world's longest-standing crypto platforms, trusted by over 10 million individuals and institutions across the globe. It offers spot trading, margin, futures, staking, and OTC services, with products built for both individual investors and institutional clients.
Our Platform and Core Engineering teams build the systems that make Kraken secure, resilient, and scalable. Their impact isn’t measured by customer-facing features, but by the strength, correctness, and leverage of the foundations they create. These teams power Kraken systems behind the scenes — enabling product teams to move fast while meeting the highest standards for reliability, compliance, and security.
Engineers design shared services, internal platforms, and critical infrastructure that support company-wide initiatives. They optimize for safety, scalability, observability, auditability, and operational excellence — often operating in regulated, security-sensitive, and risk-heavy environments where precision matters.
We’re looking for engineers with deep systems ownership and an architecture-first mindset — builders who take pride in long-lived services, thrive in complex environments, and are motivated by strengthening the backbone of the crypto ecosystem.
THE OPPORTUNITY
- Design and implement robust Rust services and foundational libraries that power Kraken’s core infrastructure, prioritizing correctness, security, and long-term maintainability.
- Write reusable, testable, and highly efficient code built for scale, observability, and operational resilience in production environments.
- Collaborate on large-scale distributed systems architecture, shaping low-latency, fault-tolerant services that support global trading and internal platforms.
- Work alongside hundreds of experienced Rust engineers, contributing to a high-bar engineering culture grounded in ownership, rigor, and craftsmanship.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 7+ years of software engineering experience
- Experience building and scaling shared systems, internal platforms, and supporting multiple product roadmaps
- Proficient in writing network services or asynchronous code in Rust
- Have a security-first mindset during system design to ensure robustness
- Demonstrate the ability to autonomously debug issues across the stack (OS, network, application)
- Apply a solid understanding of distributed systems and technologies, including RPC protocols, Kafka, and Event-Driven Systems, to design scalable solutions
- Collaborate effectively with product teams to gather requirements and constraints for designing appropriate systems
- Take complete end-to-end ownership of systems and libraries
Unless a specific application deadline is stated in the job posting, applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
Please note, applicants are permitted to redact or remove information on their resume that identifies age, date of birth, or dates of attendance at or graduation from an educational institution.
We consider qualified applicants with criminal histories for employment on our team, assessing candidates in a manner consistent with the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance.
OUR COMMITMENT
Payward is powered by people from around the world and we celebrate the diverse talents, backgrounds, contributions, and unique perspectives that everyone brings to the table. We hire based on merit, seeking out people with the right abilities, knowledge, and skills for the job. We encourage you to apply for roles where you don't fully meet the listed requirements, especially if you're passionate or knowledgeable about crypto.
We may ask candidates to complete job-related skills or work-style assessments as part of our hiring process. These assessments evaluate competencies relevant to the role and are applied consistently across candidates for similar positions. Results are considered alongside experience and interviews, and are not the sole basis for any employment decision.
As an equal opportunity employer, we don't tolerate discrimination or harassment of any kind, whether based on race, ethnicity, age, gender identity, citizenship, religion, sexual orientation, disability, pregnancy, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic as outlined by federal, state, or local laws.

n8n is the open workflow orchestration platform built for the new era of AI. We give technical teams the freedom of code with the speed of no-code, so they can automate faster, smarter, and without limits. Backed by a fiercely inventive community and 500+ builder-approved integrations, we’re changing the way people bring systems together and scale ideas for impact.
Since our founding in 2019, we’ve grown into a diverse team of over 260 - working across Europe and the US, connected by a shared builder spirit and with our centre of gravity in Berlin. Along the way, we’ve:
- Cultivated a community of more than 650,000 active developers and builders
- Earned 190K+ GitHub stars, making us one of the world’s Top 40 most popular projects
- Backed by top investors, from Sequoia’s first German seed to our SAP's recent strategic investment - bringing us to a $5.2bn valuation
That’s the company we’ve built. Now we’d love to see what you can build. If you’re applying, try n8n out - whether you’re technical or not - and share a screenshot of your first workflow with us. The easiest place to start is here: app.n8n.cloud/register http://app.n8n.cloud/register.
We’re in a defining moment of an incredible journey. Come and build with us.
🎯 Your main goal will be to turn n8n’s most strategic enterprise deployments into production-ready success stories by embedding on-site, solving real customer problems, and building reusable automation patterns that shape our product.
To do so, you’ll work directly with customers, Deployment Strategists, and Product to make every engagement high-impact, scalable, and repeatable:
Drive high-impact enterprise deployments
Embed on-site with enterprise customers for focused 5-day deployment engagements, arriving with a hypothesis and leaving with production workflows in place.
Partner closely with Deployment Strategists to align technical execution with customer priorities, stakeholder needs, and adoption goals.
Build trust with technical and non-technical stakeholders by turning complex customer environments into clear, actionable solutions.
Build production-grade automation solutions
Design and build workflows, integrations, and custom nodes tailored to each customer’s environment and scalable beyond the initial use case.
Extend existing n8n nodes or add missing functionality where needed to unlock high-value enterprise use cases.
Translate ambiguous business problems into concrete automation designs that prioritize real customer value over technical complexity.
Work across industries and tech stacks, getting productive quickly in new environments.
Bridge customer needs with Product and Engineering
Identify when a bespoke customer requirement should become a reusable node improvement, product feature, or platform capability.
Create a clear feedback loop with Product and Engineering by documenting technical gaps, customer context, implementation learnings, and prioritization signals.
Contribute reusable learnings, workflows, custom nodes, and integration patterns to an internal playbook library.
Turn customer learnings into product and playbooks
Identify when a bespoke customer requirement should become a core product feature and document it clearly for Product.
Contribute reusable learnings, workflows, and patterns to an internal playbook library.
Help ensure every engagement makes the next one faster, stronger, and more productized.
Keep engagements focused and scalable
Deliver time-boxed customer engagements with clear outcomes, rather than open-ended professional services work.
Build solutions that customers can own and operate themselves.
Know when to build, when to simplify, and when to push back to avoid unnecessary complexity.
REQUIREMENTS
Must-haves
🧑💻 Strong engineering background: You have solid full-stack or backend engineering experience and have built integrations, APIs, or automation pipelines in production environments.
🧩 Integration-building expertise: You can create custom nodes, extend existing integrations, and work confidently with APIs, authentication patterns, data models, and event-driven systems.
🔧 Product-minded technical execution: You can distinguish between a one-off customer workaround, a reusable node improvement, and a product feature worth escalating.
🤝 Customer-facing confidence: You’re comfortable working directly in customer environments and can build trust with engineers, operators, and non-technical stakeholders.
🗺️ Solution design skills: You can take a messy operational problem and turn it into a clean, practical technical design.
⚖️ Strong technical judgment: You know when to build, when to push back, and how to avoid gold-plating solutions that should stay simple.
✈️ Willingness to travel: You’re open to travelling roughly 30-50% of the time for on-site engagements.
⚡ Speed to productive: You can quickly understand new industries, tech stacks, and customer environments without needing everything to be neatly defined.
Nice-to-haves
🔁 Workflow automation experience: You have familiarity with n8n or similar workflow automation tools.
🏢 Enterprise deployment experience: You’ve worked with strategic enterprise accounts in complex technical environments.
🧱 Node or connector development: You’ve built custom nodes, connectors, plugins, SDKs, or reusable integration frameworks.
🚀 Forward deployed experience: You’ve worked in a forward deployed, solutions engineering, or similar role at a product-led technical organization.
📣 Product feedback experience: You’ve helped turn customer learnings into clear product feedback, roadmap input, or engineering specifications.
Why join us?
At n8n, you’ll be the founding Forward Deployed Engineer, helping define how we turn our largest enterprise deployments into long-term, referenceable success stories. Your work won’t sit in a demo environment — you’ll build production workflows with real users, influence our product roadmap, and create the playbooks that shape how this function scales.
You’ll join one of Europe’s fastest-growing startups at a moment of huge momentum, working with a remote-first team that values autonomy, speed, experimentation, and direct customer impact.
Sound like a challenge you’re excited to take on?
Apply now — and help us build the future of automation.
