About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the Role
Anthropic's inference fleet serves Claude to millions of users across our own products and the world's largest cloud platforms. The stack that makes this possible is deep and tightly coupled: accelerator kernels, model servers, distributed routing, autoscaling, capacity management. Every layer affects the others, often in ways that are hard to see in isolation.
The Inference System Dynamics team is responsible for understanding that whole system and holding it to a high bar across four dimensions:
throughput, latency, reliability, and correctness
. We measure how the fleet performs against its theoretical performance frontier, run cross-layer investigations to explain the gaps, and own the correctness checks that make sure Claude's outputs are right, not just fast, across hardware platforms and serving configurations. We don't own the individual components. We instrument and model them, find the highest-leverage opportunities across them, and partner with the owning teams to land the wins.
You'll work across all four areas. One week that might mean tracing a tail-latency regression from request timing down through routing and batching into a kernel overhead; the next it might mean tightening a correctness eval so it catches an output regression introduced by a quantization change. We're looking for performance engineers who treat correctness as part of performance.
Key Responsibilities
Run cross-layer performance investigations across throughput, latency, and reliability, sizing the gap between actual fleet performance and theoretical rooflines, identifying root causes, and quantifying the value of closing them
Own and improve the correctness evaluation pipeline that validates model output quality across hardware platforms, numerics, and serving configurations, and lead the investigation when it catches a regression
Build the observability, dashboards, and modeling tools that make throughput, latency, cost, reliability, correctness, and their interactions legible across the stack
Partner with kernel, serving, routing, autoscaling, and capacity teams to prioritize and land the highest-impact optimizations your analysis surfaces
Ruthlessly stack-rank a large surface area of opportunities by impact and effort, and say no to the ones that don't make the cut
Minimum Qualifications
Hands-on performance engineering experience: profiling, roofline analysis, latency/throughput optimization, and root-cause investigation in complex production systems
Proficiency in Python, with the ability to read, instrument, and contribute to large production codebases you didn’t write
Solid data analysis skills (e.g. SQL, pandas, or similar) sufficient to turn raw telemetry into clear findings
Ability to communicate quantitative results clearly in writing to influence priorities on teams you don't manage
Genuine interest in correctness as an engineering discipline: numerics, evaluation design, regression detection
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with ML systems, especially training or inference infrastructure or general LLM serving stacks. Direct large-scale inference experience is a strong plus
Familiarity with GPU/TPU/accelerator performance concepts (memory bandwidth, kernel overheads, quantization, collective communication). Reasoning about these matters more than having written kernels yourself
Experience with reliability engineering for high-throughput services: autoscaling, load balancing, request routing, tail latency
Experience with model evaluation or numerical regression-detection pipelines
Experience building observability or telemetry for distributed systems
Comfortable having impact through influence and evidence rather than direct ownership
Representative Projects
Trace a 350ms latency gap on a new accelerator platform from end-to-end request timing down to a server scheduling overhead, quantify the win, and land the fix directly or with the owning team
Redesign the correctness eval gate: determine which signals reliably catch real model-output regressions versus noise, and make it the trusted release criterion across hardware backends
Build a FLOPs funnel that breaks down where compute actually goes across the fleet, exposing the gap between achieved throughput and kernel rooflines
Root-cause a numerical divergence between two hardware platforms to a specific kernel change, and define the acceptance threshold going forward
Model the latency–cost impact of changing batch-sizing and utilization targets, and turn the result into the signal the autoscaler uses in production
Deadline to apply: None. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
The annual compensation range for this role is listed below.
For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

About The Opportunity
You will have the opportunity to join a team responsible for designing the industry's leading Crypto trading system, including Spot, Margin, Perpetuals, Futures, Options, and various risk control models such as simple account, single-currency margin, multi-currency margin, and portfolio margin.
This system supports daily trading volumes of over ten billion USD for both retail and institutional clients.
What You’ll Be Doing
The plumbing of the exchange.
Order management, matching, margin, risk engine, lending/borrowing — across both spot and derivatives. When you ship, millions of trades route through your work the same day.
Infrastructure that holds up where others can't operate.
You'll work directly with Legal, Compliance, and local market teams — not to check boxes, but to design systems that clear the highest regulatory bar in finance. That bar is our moat.
Outlearning the competition.
Talk to traders, take apart competing systems, and decide where we lead vs. fast-follow — across crypto and TradFi.
The instruments that show us the market first.
Build the data and monitoring layer that gives us situational awareness of our own stack and the broader industry. If something's drifting, breaking, or shifting — you know before anyone else.
The 3–12 month direction.
Decide what we build next, and when, based on product lifecycle, competitive landscape, and what our capacity actually is — not what makes the deck look good.
Shipping through.
From spec to launch, you're the person who gets it out the door — pulling engineering, design, ops, and marketing into alignment without becoming the bottleneck.
The AI harness and agent architecture for your domain.
Design and ship multi-step agent workflows — tool use, retrieval, evaluation, human-in-the-loop checkpoints — that power how Core Trading operates. Spec agents the way you spec products.
What We Look For In You
Bachelor's degree or above in mathematics, physics or computer science major.
5+ years experience in building sophisticated backend systems in either crypto or Traditional Finance industry.
AI native skillset that allow you to ship at 10x because you automate the work flow first.
Possess rigorous logical thinking, excellent teamwork, communication skills and be able to coordinate resources to solve problems and achieve goals between different departments.
You possess a strong interest in trading, blockchain and the financial industry.
You are proactive, enthusiastic and sensitive to customers' feedback from a product lens.
Fluent in English and Mandarin (to communicate with Mandarin speaking clients / cross-teams).
Nice-To-Haves
Trading experience in sophisticated institutions.
Excel in quantitative research with various mathematics tools.

GiveWell’s mission is to help people in need as much as we can by researching the most cost‑effective ways to save and improve lives, sharing our work openly, and directing donations to the programs we believe will do the most good. Our work, which focuses on global health and well-being, is funded by tens of thousands of donors who rely on our research to inform their giving. We’ve grown from directing $1.5 million in 2010 to directing more than $400 million in 2025. We anticipate our total grantmaking is likely to approach or even exceed $1 billion this year, and we are working toward a future that could be several times that scale. Through years of deliberate groundwork, we’ve been growing our research capacity and scope in order to direct substantially more funding to the most impactful opportunities we can find.
Summary
GiveWell is seeking a Senior Researcher on our Cross-Cutting team to help us make better funding decisions across our entire portfolio. The Cross-Cutting team works on methodological questions, research quality, and big-picture problems that don't sit naturally inside any single program area.
Cross-Cutting team’s work has included pressure-testing our work through retrospective evaluations of completed grants (
"lookbacks"
) and scrutinizing grantmaking areas (
"red teaming"
), collecting
more on-the-ground quantitative and qualitative information
to check what our grantmaking might be missing, looking for
ways to use AI
to improve our research process, experimenting with new ways to
solicit feedback
, figuring out how to quantify the
“value of information”
in our grantmaking, and answering
thorny research questions
that affect our entire portfolio.
As a Senior Cross-Cutting Researcher, you'll shape ambitious research agendas that cut across GiveWell's portfolios and answer complex questions that inform grantmaking decisions across the organization. The researchers on our team combine rigorous evidence review, cost-effectiveness modeling, and thoughtful judgment.
We're open to a wide variety of professional development pathways depending on your preferences and our needs.
The role
You will be joining a small team focused on the methodological and cross-portfolio questions that shape how GiveWell does research. You'll sift through the countless questions we could try to answer, hone in on those that matter most, and partner with grantmaking teams (Malaria, Water, Nutrition, Vaccines, Livelihoods, New Areas) to pressure-test and extend their work. You'll also communicate externally about your work and mentor and advise other researchers on the team.
You will shape a research agenda that brings rigor and creativity to the thorniest questions GiveWell faces across its grantmaking. Your work will combine empirical evidence review and critical synthesis, cost-effectiveness modeling, discussions with subject matter experts, understanding of the broader context, and your own judgment. In the course of your work, you might approach questions like:
Are our grants actually achieving what we predicted? How do we know, and how can we improve our decisions over time?
How do we systematically incorporate field insights, monitoring data, and external feedback into our work?
How do we design M&E systems that tell us whether grants are working, not just whether grantees are reporting what we asked for?
How can we use AI tools to speed up or increase the quality of our work?
How should we model spillover effects? Do health programs affect income, and vice versa? Are we consistent in how we handle this across program areas?
How should we set our cost-effectiveness bar over time when funding and spending vary unpredictably year to year?
How should we value averting a death versus improving health outcomes versus increasing income? (Our "moral weights" problem)
Where are the systematic risks in our research (i.e., the areas where if we're wrong, we're making big mistakes in how we allocate funding)?
Team structure
Our research department is currently organized into eight teams, including Cross-Cutting:
Five of the teams (Water, Livelihoods, Nutrition, Malaria, and Vaccines) focus on specific areas of grantmaking.
The New Areas team focuses on interventions in domains that are new to GiveWell.
The Commons team provides generalized research support to each of the other teams, including landscaping research, vetting, and publishing.
The Cross-Cutting team works closely with other grantmaking teams. Projects typically involve partnering with a team to pressure-test or extend their work, or running methodological projects that set standards across the department.
Team values
We think our research team has unique qualities:
We care deeply and centrally about finding and sharing truth.
Truth-seeking is one of our
core values
. We post
our mistakes
and we prize our team members who keep our culture of free-flowing feedback strong.
We are independent.
We focus 100% on finding the most cost-effective opportunities to save and improve lives. Our researchers assist in communicating our research findings to the public and our donors, and on occasion we provide tailored advice to ultra-high-net-worth donors who want to rely on our expertise to direct their giving—but we never ask our researchers to trade off against honesty, or to hide their real beliefs.
We don’t waste time.
Once it’s clear that a particular research question is unlikely to change our bottom-line funding recommendation, we drop it as quickly as possible. We encourage our research staff to constantly re-evaluate their portfolios and only work on the highest-priority questions.
Lean research team = huge personal impact.
In 2026,
our research team of ~80 people is directing close to 1 billion dollars and we expect grantmaking dollars per research team member to increase in the future.
We work well together.
Our research team is lean because we’re able to attract top-tier people, all of whom complete skills-based assessments before joining our staff. We maintain a high-performing, collegial culture and pay our staff accordingly.
About you
Senior Cross-Cutting Researchers typically have quantitatively oriented advanced degrees and substantial relevant experience using empirical tools to make rigorous, evidence-based decisions in the real world. Practically, our senior research staff typically has 5-10 years of post-grad work experience prior to joining GiveWell. We're happy to consider applicants who do not have advanced degrees, but we'll look for a commensurate amount of relevant experience.
We expect that people with the soft qualities below will be the most successful and happy on our team. This isn’t a full list, but hopefully it conveys the gist of our team’s professional personality:
GiveWell’s mission and methods are personally energizing—you like our approach to research and you find personal meaning in our story of impact.
You’re abnormally curious—you ask lots of questions, and you’re willing to interrogate others’ work. Your curiosity also extends to your own work—you aren’t defensive when your research comes under scrutiny.
You routinely think about and surface the value judgments, background knowledge, and strategic commitments that undergird your work. You understand the potential effects of mistaken mental models, so you strive to improve yours and your team’s.
You dislike it when people express strong confidence in views that don’t seem to rely on commensurate evidence. You carefully and legibly communicate about your confidence levels.
You appreciate the value of an excellent reputation and strong relationships. You can moderate your directness and intensity when you’re communicating with external folks.
You love a
gnarly problem
. You figure out the most important questions to answer, go deep on the details where they matter (and move on where they don’t), and reassess your mental models based on what you’ve learned.
You constantly assess whether you and the team are working on the most important things.
Senior Cross-Cutting Researcher vs. other Senior Researcher roles
We're hiring Senior Researchers for both our Cross-Cutting team and our grantmaking teams. If you're energized by variety and methodological questions that span multiple program areas, Cross-Cutting may be a better fit. If you're excited to develop deep expertise in a specific program area and eventually own a grantmaking portfolio, our grantmaking-team-specific Senior Researcher roles (e.g., Senior Malaria Researcher or Senior Livelihoods Researcher) may be a better fit.
Not sure? Apply to whichever sounds more appealing—we'll help you figure out the right fit during the process, and we're open to moving candidates between tracks.
The details
Compensation:
We set salaries using a location-based tier system. Our pay for this role:
NYC or the San Francisco Bay Area: $308,000.
All other U.S. locations: $280,000
International: Similar to the “all other U.S. locations” salary, based on historical exchange rates and delivered in locally-denominated currency. We can share a precise figure upon request after the first work trial stage.
Benefits:
Our
benefits
include:
Fully funded health, dental, vision, and life insurance (we cover 100% of premiums within the US for you and any dependents)
Four weeks of paid time off per year
16 weeks of fully paid parental leave
Ergonomic home workstations or coworking space memberships
Automatic contribution equal to 5% of your gross salary into your 403(b) retirement plan (for U.S. based staff)
Countries we can hire from:
GiveWell is a remote-first organization. However, for the time being, we can only hire within a select number of countries (US, UK, Canada, Switzerland, and Germany). To be considered for a role with GiveWell, you need to already be based in one of those countries or be willing to move to one of them. We expect to expand the list of locations where we can hire over the course of 2027, and our job descriptions always reflect the current status — so we'd encourage you to check back and apply again for a role you're eligible for.
Visa sponsorship:
The US is the only country where visa sponsorship is possible for a number of roles, and it's assessed on a case by case basis. For all other countries, you need to already have work authorization, we cannot sponsor visas.
Why we work this way:
Focusing on countries where we already have tested onboarding processes lets us move candidates through hiring faster and with fewer surprises. Every additional country brings its own labor laws, EOR requirements, and new processes to work through, which slows things down for hiring teams and new colleagues alike. Concentrating our footprint keeps the experience consistent and supports GiveWell’s wider absorption capacity goals.
Flexibility:
We support and encourage flexible working, including flexible hours, working remotely, and working from the office when you choose. The majority of our staff, including senior management, work flexibly in one way or another.
Travel:
Research team members are sometimes required to attend international site visits and conferences (on average 1-2 per year), with additional travel for those interested in traveling more. Additionally, we strongly encourage staff members to attend quarterly whole-org and department retreats to bond with other team members and complete in-person work. We'll discuss travel obligations in more detail during late stages of the hiring process, and we’ll accommodate staff who have conflicting family or other obligations.
Start date:
We’d like a candidate to start as soon as possible after receiving an offer, but we’ll offer flexibility for candidates whose personal or professional circumstances require them to moderately delay their start date.
Miscellaneous details:
Please note that our hiring process consists of the same work trials for the following roles: Researcher, Senior Researcher, Senior Cross-Cutting Researcher, Senior Livelihoods Researcher, Senior Malaria Researcher, Senior New Areas Researcher, Senior Nutrition Researcher, Senior Vaccination Researcher, and Senior Water Researcher. If, within the last year, you applied and were rejected for one of these roles, you should hold off on applying to the other roles, unless explicitly asked to do so by a member of our team. If you're interested in all of these roles, please just apply once and note in your application that you'd like to be considered for the other roles, too.
After application review, our hiring process consists of a short application exercise and up to 15 hours of compensated work trials. You can see more details about our hiring process on our
FAQs page
!
We devote significant staff capacity to initial application review, and we respond to all applications as quickly as possible.
We’re aiming to hire four to six full-time Senior Researchers.
We have a strong preference for full-time applicants, but we’ll consider applications for part-time work. We aren’t interested in reviewing applications for contract or project-based work at this time.
If we settle on an application deadline, we’ll write it in bold here. If you’re on our website job posting and don’t see a deadline, there is no deadline. If you’re reading this on an external job board and don’t see a deadline, you should double-check on our
website
.
You don't need to submit a cover letter—we rely mainly on your resume and answers to the application questions below when we're making early decisions.

Summary
GiveWell is seeking a Senior Vaccination Researcher to help us direct tens of millions of dollars annually to the most cost-effective vaccination programs that we can find. You will have an outsized influence on our funding decisions and help us save and improve lives on a global scale.
Our vaccination grantmaking is focused on increasing coverage of routine immunization in children under the age of two in areas with high burden of vaccine-preventable disease. This has included supporting targeted outreach and mobile vaccination, demand-side incentives, and support for malaria vaccine rollout. In the future, we may expand into new areas such as campaigns, subsidizing vaccine procurement, supply chain support, surveillance and outbreak response, and R&D for vaccines or vaccine delivery technology. Vaccination is one of our fastest-growing areas, from $12 million in 2024 to $50 million in 2025 and more than $70 million expected in 2026.
As a Senior Vaccination Researcher, you’ll create and lead ambitious research agendas related to our portfolios of work and answer complex questions that will inform GiveWell’s grantmaking decisions. The researchers on our team combine rigorous evidence review, cost-effectiveness modeling, and thoughtful judgment.
We’re open to a wide variety of professional development pathways depending on your preferences and our needs.
The role
You will be joining a small grantmaking team to contribute to our ambitious research agenda on vaccination. You’ll sift through the countless questions we could try to answer, and home in on those that matter most. You’ll also communicate externally about your work and mentor and advise other researchers on the team.
You will shape a research agenda that brings rigor and creativity to the thorniest questions the GiveWell vaccination team faces. Your work will combine empirical evidence review and critical synthesis, cost-effectiveness modeling, discussions with subject matter experts, understanding of the broader context, and your own judgment.
What you might work on in your first year:
How should GiveWell’s portfolio of investments change in response to new technologies and shifts in government or funder resources and priorities?
What are the most promising opportunities for grant-making in areas such as surveillance and outbreak response and R&D for vaccines or vaccine delivery technology? How should we prioritize those relative to current core areas?
How can we improve our methods for evaluating the impact of programs on vaccination coverage? How can we collect more useful data and combine various sources of information to generate a holistic picture of which programs to expand and which to exit?
What are the core differences between GiveWell's cost-effectiveness model and other vaccine cost-effectiveness models and what learnings from the external models should we apply to our model?
What is the best design for a study to improve available estimates of the impact of key childhood vaccines on disease-specific mortality or all-cause mortality?
The Senior Vaccination Researcher will help shape a major annual grantmaking portfolio, own grant investigations end-to-end (from research question through grant recommendation), and represent GiveWell to external counterparts. You'll have significant latitude to propose new areas of work.
Team structure
Our research department has over 60 people, and is currently organized into seven teams:

The Cross-Cutting team focuses on methodological issues, research quality, and other big-picture concerns that cut across all of our research work.

Anthropic's mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
As a Senior Data Center Capacity Delivery Manager at Anthropic, you'll embed with project teams responsible for delivery of leased and partnered data center capacity. Your primary role will be to lead these partners to deliver on the fastest possible schedule while maintaining a safe construction site and protecting the finished quality of the data center.
Additionally, you'll validate deal readiness, coordinate complex stakeholder relationships, maintain regular reporting and status tracking, and ensure seamless transitions from project inception through operational readiness.
This role offers a unique opportunity to shape how Anthropic secures and activates the compute infrastructure needed to train and deploy frontier AI systems, working at the intersection of real estate, construction, and cutting-edge AI infrastructure.
Key responsibilities
Lead. This is a role where leadership trumps management and process. You will be expected to be at one or more project sites in adequate amount to shape the culture, approach, and aggressiveness that define those extended site teams. The goal is to impact outcomes in a favorable manner.
You are expected to be a force multiplier that develops and enhances the skillset that development partners, contractors, and key trades bring to the project(s) you are overseeing. That means being a subject matter expert in the various cross functional elements of data center delivery and increasing the team's performance with that knowledge and commitment to alignment.
Confirm deal readiness and serve as the gatekeeper to validate transaction viability from Letter of Intent (LOI) through lease execution, ensuring all predevelopment, planning, technical and business requirements are met before commitment
Partner with landlords and developers post-deal to serve as Anthropic's primary point of contact, coordinating across internal stakeholders, tracking construction progress, and facilitating critical information exchange between development partners and Anthropic stakeholders
Represent Anthropic in key technical and operational decisions required by partners during the development process, ensuring our infrastructure requirements are met while maintaining strong partnerships
Drive seamless handoffs to operational state with heavy focus on engagement across networking and deployment teams, enabling rapid workload turn-ups and minimizing time-to-production
Prepare and present regular executive reporting on progress versus plan for facility development, supporting forward capacity planning and strategic decision-making
Identify and mitigate risks throughout the delivery lifecycle, proactively addressing blockers that could impact timeline, cost, or technical requirements
Develop and refine standardized processes and playbooks for facility delivery, driving continuous improvement as Anthropic scales its infrastructure footprint
You may be a good fit if you:
Have 8+ years of experience in the highest level of site leadership managing data center delivery, construction projects, or infrastructure deployment at scale within Australia. You won’t have a big direct team to delegate too but will instead be able to treat the entire cross functional organizations at a jobsite as your team.
Have a strong understanding of the end to end (dirt to delivery) data center development process to include entitlements and permitting, planning and supply chain, execution, commissioning, and handover. You are not an administrator but an active player in the arena comfortable making decisions and guiding delivery execution without the need to consult across multiple external parties.
You should understand the nuances of data center design and construction in Australia- who the players are, what contractual norms get in the way of speed of delivery, how teams can be incentivized to build and deliver faster than normal.
In this role you will often be on an island and responsible for your own destiny. You will have free reign to develop your own approaches with the mission guidance being your only bounds.
It's a bonus if you:
Understand AI/ML infrastructure requirements, including high-density power and advanced cooling systems
Have had leadership positions (General Superintendent, Project Manager) within a GC or EPC on hyperscale data center projects or in self performance of hyperscale data center development projects.
Prioritize extreme ownership and have the ability to create winning cultures across diverse job sites.
Are deeply familiar with lease negotiations, construction contracts, or real estate development processes and have strategies to move those arrangements from traditionally transaction and risk managed arrangements to collaborative efforts that align incentives around accelerated delivery of facilities.
Deadline to apply:
None. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
Logistics
Minimum education:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
Required field of study:
A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
Minimum years of experience:
Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position
Location-based hybrid policy:
Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
Visa sponsorship:
We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification.
Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.
Your safety matters to us.

At ClickUp, we're building the future of work: the first truly converged AI workspace unifying tasks, docs, chat, calendar, and enterprise search, all supercharged by context-driven AI. We are an AI-native company. Every team member is expected to leverage AI daily, and we evaluate AI fluency as part of our hiring process. Join us and help redefine what's possible. 🚀
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are hiring the next generation of product managers. AI has collapsed the work that used to sit between an idea and a working version of it, and for the first time, PMs can be true builders. The PMs who win in this era do not manage the work. They build the product, every day, with their own hands.
A Senior Product Manager owns a meaningful surface of ClickUp and is accountable for whether it gets better. You decide what to build and why, then go build a working version of it. You prototype in Cursor and Claude when an idea is faster shown than written. You live in the data and the customer signal, and the time between spotting a problem and having something people can react to is measured in days, not weeks. The PMs who compound the most impact at this level are the ones who keep finding leverage that did not exist last quarter.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the vision, roadmap, and delivery for a defined product surface, balancing near-term wins with longer-horizon investments.
- Run continuous discovery. Building and using agents to monitor and synthesize that part of your job.
- Write sharp PRDs and specs that give engineering and design what they need to move fast without ambiguity.
- Define success metrics before you build, track them after you ship, and iterate when outcomes do not match expectations.
- Prototype your own ideas using Cursor, Claude Code, and our Prototype Playground. Show the concept before filing the ticket.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, design, analytics, and GTM without needing to be managed through the process.
- Present your roadmap and results clearly to stakeholders and leadership, and update them when direction changes.
- Spot friction in how the team operates and suggest concrete improvements.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 or more years in product management with demonstrated end-to-end ownership of a product area in a B2B SaaS environment.
- Proven track record of shipping. You have taken features from concept through launch and iterated based on data.
- Strong prioritization instincts. You know how to say no and can defend it.
- High customer empathy and the ability to separate what users say from what they actually need.
- Comfortable with data. You define your own metrics, query dashboards, and make arguments from numbers.
- Clear written and verbal communicator. Your specs and strategy docs create alignment without requiring a follow-up meeting.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and a fast pace. You do not wait to be told what to do.
- Hands-on with AI tools. You already use them and are always looking for new ways to get more out of them.
AI PROFICIENCY
- Generate artifacts that accelerate alignment. Leverage AI to draft PRDs, map user flows, validate product launch readiness, synthesize research and customer feedback, produce competitive analyses, and write release notes.
- Prototype and iterate with AI coding tools. Build functional prototypes independently of design and engineering using tools like Cursor or Claude Code.
- QA your own work. Use browser automation tools to test flows, verify edge cases, and confirm what shipped matches what was specced.
- Stay current and apply it. Familiarity with tools like Claude Code, Cursor, Figma AI, and MCP integrations is expected. Actively experiment and fold new capabilities into your workflow.

Join us and be part of a bold, innovative team that's redefining what's possible!
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are hiring the next generation of product managers. AI has collapsed the work that used to sit between an idea and a working version of it, and for the first time, PMs can be true builders. The PMs who win in this era do not manage the work. They build the product, every day, with their own hands.
A Principal Product Manager shapes high level strategy and product direction at the company level. You make the calls on the hardest product questions we face. Where the converged workspace is going, what AI for work actually looks like in three years, which bets matter. You build to show your thinking, not just describe it, and the argument is stronger when you have already put the idea on screen. You pull together data, customer escalations, support trends, and usage patterns and bring clarity on where we are winning and where to push next. The ways you find to move faster become how PMs across the company work. The stronger your craft, the more your strategy lands.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Shape ClickUp's product direction at the company level. Own the hardest, most consequential product questions we face and drive them to resolution.
- Define where the converged workspace is going and what AI for work looks like over a multi-year horizon. Hold that picture and make it legible to everyone else.
- Build to prove the point. Prototype the future you are arguing for so the strategy is concrete, not theoretical.
- Synthesize data, customer escalations, usage trends, and market signals into a coherent picture of where we are winning and where we need to move.
- Set the standard for how PMs across the function work. The patterns you invent for compressing your loop become how the whole PM team operates.
- Advise and inform executive leadership on product strategy, major bets, and where the company should and should not invest.
- Represent ClickUp externally on product vision when relevant, including with key customers, analysts, and the broader product community.
- Identify the gaps in our product thinking and build the frameworks that close them.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 8-10+ years in product management, with a clear record of operating at company-shaping scope in a high-growth B2B SaaS environment.
- Deep experience owning the most ambiguous and consequential product decisions, the ones with no obvious answer and real stakes.
- Exceptional ability to synthesize competing inputs, customer signals, business constraints, and technical realities into a clear direction.
- Demonstrated ability to build and evangelize a product vision that earns trust across engineering, design, and executive leadership.
- History of raising the craft of the PMs around you, not just delivering your own output.
- Fluent in data. You define the metrics that matter at the company level and you know when the data is incomplete or misleading.
- Deep command of AI tooling. You are not experimenting with it, you are building with it and setting the example for the function.
- Outstanding written and verbal communicator. You can make a hard argument simply and land it with any audience.
AI PROFICIENCY
- Generate artifacts that accelerate alignment. Leverage AI to draft PRDs, map user flows, validate product launch readiness, synthesize research and customer feedback, produce competitive analyses, and write release notes.
- Prototype and iterate with AI coding tools. Build functional prototypes independently of design and engineering using tools like Cursor or Claude Code.

ABOUT DOCKER
Docker has been one of the most loved brands in developer tooling, trusted by more than 20 million monthly users and over 20 billion container image pulls. From solo founders to the world's largest companies, developers rely on Docker to build, share, and run their applications across our suite of products including Docker Desktop, Docker Hub, and Docker Scout.
We are a globally distributed, remote-first team building the tools that define how software gets built and delivered. As AI agents redefine software development, Docker is at the center of that shift, providing the sandboxed environments, verified images, and secure infrastructure that make autonomous workflows trustworthy by default.
_______________________________________________________________________
THE ROLE
The DHI Content team builds and maintains Docker Hardened Images: a catalogue of security-hardened system packages, container images and Helm charts designed to be minimal, up to date and safe to use in security-conscious and regulated environments.
This is a supply-chain and open-source maintainer role rather than a conventional backend engineering role. You will work across upstream OSS projects, package and image definitions, Helm charts, Kubernetes, integration tests, vulnerability remediation and the controls that prove content is ready to publish. The work is broad by design: customers should be able to select hardened packages and images and, where relevant, deploy them through hardened charts without the pieces drifting apart.
We are moving DHI content production towards a machine-first factory. Routine work should begin with a machine-produced change and pass through automated build, test, policy and review controls. Engineers add the most value by handling difficult ecosystems, making security judgements, improving standards and turning repeated human corrections into better tooling. You will use AI-assisted engineering extensively, but remain accountable for the evidence and quality behind every result.
As a Senior Supply Chain Security Engineer, you will own substantial content and improvement work from upstream discovery through release and ongoing maintenance. You will be expected to close the loop on customer and security outcomes, not only submit individual definition changes.
SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE LOOKS LIKE
You will succeed by becoming a trusted end-to-end owner for hardened content. Within your first year, you should have delivered complex new or updated DHI content across packages, images and Helm charts, improved the factory or its quality gates, reduced recurring manual work and raised the capability of the engineers around you.
_______________________________________________________________________
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Author and maintain definitions for hardened system packages and container images, including build steps, upstream tracking, multi-architecture support and reproducibility controls.
- Adapt and maintain upstream Helm charts so they work correctly with DHI images under non-root, restricted and production-shaped Kubernetes security constraints.
- Track upstream releases, semver patterns, monorepos, dependency chains and breaking changes, then make pragmatic decisions about when to update, patch, pin or deviate.
- Triage and remediate vulnerabilities across OS packages, application dependencies, images and charts, including VEX and no-upstream-fix cases that require explicit security judgement.
- Write and improve Go-based integration tests, validators and policy checks that prove packages, images and charts behave correctly in real environments.
- Review human-authored and machine-authored pull requests against DHI standards, distinguish blocking issues from advice and give contributors a clear path forward.
- Improve the DHI Factory by converting repeated work, review corrections and escaped defects into automation, tests, validators and reusable authoring patterns.
- Help classify work into deterministic, specialist and judgement paths so people spend time where their expertise changes the outcome.
- Partner with Product, Security, Support and customer-facing teams to turn demand and incidents into prioritised content and durable improvements.
- Engage constructively with upstream maintainers when hardened deployment requirements expose issues or useful improvements.
- Participate in the team's paid on-call rotation and drive learning from customer escalations, failed builds and content defects.
- Communicate decisions, risks and progress clearly in a remote, async-first environment.
_______________________________________________________________________
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED
- Strong experience with containers, Linux and Kubernetes in production or production-shaped environments.
- Practical experience reading, adapting or maintaining Helm charts and diagnosing how chart templates, values and workload security settings affect deployment behaviour.
- Experience maintaining software you did not originate, such as Linux packages, container images, open-source integrations, charts or a comparable downstream distribution.
- Strong YAML and configuration-review skills, including care for conventions, consistency and downstream impact across a large catalogue.
- Working knowledge of container and Kubernetes security, including non-root execution, UID and GID, capabilities, filesystem restrictions, image layers and multi-architecture builds.
- Practical programming ability in Go or a comparable language, sufficient to write and review integration tests, validators and content automation.
- Experience tracking upstream releases and reasoning about semver, breaking changes, dependency graphs and reproducible builds.
- A maintainer mindset: you catch drift, improve patterns for the next contributor and consider the effect of a change across many downstream consumers.
- Familiarity with GitHub-heavy open-source workflows, including pull requests, review, release tracking and upstream contribution.
- Comfort using AI-assisted engineering critically while retaining ownership of security assertions, test evidence and release quality.
- A strong operational mindset and clear written and spoken communication suited to a remote, async-first company.
HELPFUL, BUT NOT REQUIRED
- Experience as a maintainer for Alpine, Debian, Fedora, Wolfi, Homebrew or another package ecosystem.
- Helm chart authorship or meaningful contribution to an upstream chart.
- Experience with SBOMs, VEX, SLSA, Sigstore, cosign, provenance or artefact signing.
- Experience with apk, deb, rpm, Go modules, Maven or Gradle, npm, pip, Cargo or other dependency ecosystems.
- Experience building automation for package, image or chart creation, validation and release.
- Experience with FIPS, FedRAMP, PCI or other regulated and security-conscious environments.
_______________________________________________________________________
WHAT TO EXPECT
FIRST 30 DAYS
- Build context on the DHI catalogue, its package, image and chart definitions, the DHI Factory and the team's definition of done.
- Pair across both image and Helm chart work and ship a useful production change.
- Learn the build, test, signing, publishing and vulnerability-remediation workflows.
- Take part in reviews and an incident, escalation or failed-build learning session.
FIRST 90 DAYS
- Own a complex image and chart addition or update from upstream analysis through release.
- Resolve a meaningful CVE, dependency or compatibility problem with clear evidence and customer impact in mind.
- Improve at least one factory control, integration test, validator or reusable content pattern.
- Review across artefact types and help another engineer take on a broader piece of work.
ONE YEAR OUTLOOK (FIRST YEAR)
- Be a trusted senior owner across hardened packages, images and Helm charts.
- Deliver material catalogue growth or quality improvements without increasing human effort linearly with demand.
- Reduce recurring manual work by moving a class of changes into a proven automated path.
- Improve DHI's security posture, content availability and release reliability for customers.
- Raise review quality and grow the team's ability to work across artefact and dependency ecosystems.
Visa sponsorship: Docker considers visa sponsorship on a case-by-case basis based on business needs.

Summary
GiveWell is seeking a Senior Water Researcher to help direct tens of millions of dollars annually to the most cost-effective water interventions we can find. You will have an outsized influence on our funding decisions and help us save and improve lives on a global scale.
Our water grantmaking has historically focused on improving drinking
water quality through chlorination
— primarily chlorine dispensers and in-line chlorination — in low- and middle-income countries with a high burden of waterborne disease. In 2025,
we ran a public Request for Information (RFI)
that resulted in 18 pilot grants to 12 implementing partners across six African countries, totaling roughly $20 million. In 2026, we are beginning to pivot from a narrow focus on chlorination toward a broader exploration of the water sector. This includes investigating alternative water quality interventions (e.g., filtration, in-line ultraviolet disinfection, chemical contamination remediation), different clean water delivery models (e.g. diarrheal outbreak prevention and response, safe water enterprises), exploring water access and infrastructure layering with multilaterals such as the World Bank, market shaping for chlorine supply chains and measurement technology, and R&D for hardware and better service delivery models.
As a Senior Water Researcher, you'll create and lead ambitious research agendas related to our portfolios of work and answer complex questions that will inform GiveWell's grantmaking decisions. The researchers on our team combine rigorous evidence review, cost-effectiveness modeling, and thoughtful judgment.
We're open to a wide variety of professional development pathways depending on your preferences and our needs.
The role
You will be joining a small grantmaking team to contribute to our ambitious research agenda on water. You'll sift through the countless questions we could try to answer, and hone in on those that matter most. You'll also communicate externally about your work and mentor and advise other researchers on the team.
You will shape a research agenda that brings rigor and creativity to the thorniest questions the GiveWell water team faces. Your work will combine empirical evidence review and critical synthesis, cost-effectiveness modeling, discussions with subject matter experts, understanding of the broader context, and your own judgment.
What you might work on in your first year:
How should we calibrate our cost-effectiveness estimates to real-world program performance?
How does chlorination compare with alternative water quality methods — such as filtration, in-line UV, and chemical contamination remediation — across different settings? Where, if anywhere, are these alternatives more cost-effective?
Can GiveWell unlock large amounts of cost-effective
room for more funding
by partnering with multilaterals (e.g. the World Bank) to layer water treatment onto large-scale piped water infrastructure projects? What are the practical and political constraints?
To what extent should our portfolio shift between water quality (our current focus) and water access? Are there access-related grantmaking opportunities — for example, supporting direct delivery of clean water, water kiosks, or boreholes paired with treatment — that meet our cost-effectiveness bar?
How do we improve our estimate of the all-cause mortality effect of chlorination on children under-5?
How should we use new funding mechanisms — such as regranting, prizes, and a possible Water Incubator with implementing partners — to identify and scale promising interventions?
The Senior Water Researcher will help shape a major annual grantmaking portfolio, own grant investigations end-to-end (from research question through grant recommendation), and represent GiveWell to external counterparts. You'll have significant latitude to propose new areas of work.
Team structure
Our research department is currently organized into eight teams:
Five of the teams (Livelihoods, Malaria, Nutrition, Vaccination, and Water) focus on specific areas of grantmaking.
The New Areas team focuses on interventions in domains that are new to GiveWell.
The Cross-Cutting team focuses on methodological issues, research quality, and other big-picture concerns that cut across all of our research work.
The Commons team provides generalized research support to each of the other teams, including landscaping research, vetting, and publishing.
About you
We expect the Senior Water Researcher to have
A quantitatively oriented advanced degree (e.g., in epidemiology, environmental engineering, environmental health, public health, economics, or related fields).
Substantial professional experience in the water sector or an adjacent field (broadly defined). This could include experience in water quality, WASH, water infrastructure, environmental health modeling, or in program implementation, evaluation, or funding. We're especially interested in candidates with hands-on familiarity with water systems, epidemiology, or both. We don't expect any single candidate to have deep expertise across all of the areas we're exploring (chlorination, filtration, in-line UV, water access, market shaping, R&D), and we're happy to consider strong researchers whose expertise sits in any subset of these.
If you’re interested in working on GiveWell’s research team but don’t have water expertise, consider applying to our generalist
Senior Researcher
role, or our Researcher role if you have limited post-graduation experience.
The details
Compensation:
We set salaries using a location-based tier system. Our pay for this role:
NYC or the San Francisco Bay Area: $308,000.
All other U.S. locations: $280,000.
Four weeks of paid time off per year, plus a one week organization-wide summer break
Please apply to only one Senior Researcher posting.
If you have deep expertise in this area, this pod-specific role is the right fit. If not, there's no need to apply here — our generalist Senior Researcher role is designed for strong researchers who don't have a single specialization, and you don't need to apply to both. Applying to the generalist role won't put you at any disadvantage!
Please note that our hiring process consists of the same work trials for the following roles: Researcher, Senior Researcher, Senior Cross-Cutting Researcher, Senior Livelihoods Researcher, Senior Malaria Researcher, Senior New Areas Researcher, Senior Nutrition Researcher, Senior Vaccines Researcher, and Senior Water Researcher.

Summary
GiveWell is seeking a Senior Livelihoods Researcher to help us identify and fund the most cost-effective ways to improve living standards among the global poor. You will have an outsized influence on our funding decisions and help us improve lives on a global scale.
Our livelihoods team is organized around thematic verticals, which includes cash transfers, broader social protection programs, education programs, and support for small and medium sized businesses in low-income countries. Across the portfolio, we try to maximize the social return on our investment, which we measure as the increase in relative consumption per $. We value consumption gains more highly among poorer populations, which has meant most of our grantmaking to date has focused on programs which support deprived populations within low-income countries (mostly in sub-Saharan Africa).
As a Senior Livelihoods Researcher, you’ll create and lead ambitious research agendas related to our portfolios of work and answer complex questions that will inform GiveWell’s grantmaking decisions. The researchers on our team combine rigorous evidence review, cost-effectiveness modeling, and thoughtful judgment.
We’re open to a wide variety of professional development pathways depending on your preferences and our needs.
The role
You will be joining a small grantmaking team to contribute to our ambitious research agenda on livelihoods. You’ll sift through the countless questions we could try to answer, and honing in on those that matter most. You’ll also communicate externally about your work and advise other researchers on the team.
You will shape a research agenda that brings rigor and creativity to the thorniest questions the GiveWell livelihoods team faces. Your work will combine empirical evidence review and critical synthesis, cost-effectiveness modeling, discussions with subject matter experts, understanding of the broader context, and your own judgment. In the course of your work, you might approach questions like these:
What effect do rural trailbridges have on the consumption of nearby communities?
What are long-run effects of unconditional cash transfers and ultra poor graduation programs on recipients?
What would happen to prices and markets if we took cash transfer and ultra poor graduation programs to scale?
How should GiveWell value interventions which try to reduce the variance of consumption (as opposed to increasing the average)?
Several countries in sub-Saharan Africa have seen large scale-ups in donor-funded livelihoods programs over the last 30 years but very little movement in poverty headcount rates and median consumption per capita. Why?
Team structure
Our research department has over 60 people, and is currently organized into eight teams:
Five of the teams (Water, Nutrition, Malaria, Vaccines, and Livelihoods) focus on specific areas of grantmaking.

Anthropic's Infrastructure organization is foundational to our mission of developing AI systems that are reliable, interpretable, and steerable. The systems we build determine how quickly we can train new models, how reliably we can run safety experiments, and how effectively we can scale Claude to millions of users — demonstrating that safe, reliable infrastructure and frontier capabilities can go hand in hand.
Node Infra owns the full lifecycle of accelerator capacity at Anthropic. We ingest and provision compute from all major cloud providers and from datacenters custom-built for Anthropic, stand up and scale the clusters behind one of the industry's largest AI compute fleets, and build the health, diagnostics and repair automation that keep every GPU, TPU and Trainium node in the fleet usable and ready to power Anthropic's frontier AI research.

Own the technical strategy and roadmap for node lifecycle management - ingestion, bring-up, health checking, and automated repair
Drive cross-team initiatives to build and scale AI clusters across multiple clouds and accelerator families
Design and operate the systems that detect, isolate, and remediate unhealthy hardware automatically, driving up fleet MTBI and minimizing stranded capacity
Define infrastructure architecture, ensuring the hardest problems get solved - whether by you directly or by working through others
Work closely with cloud providers and internal research/inference/product teams to shape long-term compute, data, and infrastructure strategy
Establish and evolve operational excellence practices (incident response, postmortem culture, on-call)
Support the growth of engineers around you through technical mentorship and coaching
Minimum qualifications
Deep expertise in distributed systems, reliability, and cloud platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, IaC, AWS/GCP/Azure)
Strong proficiency in at least one systems language (e.g., Rust, Go, or Python), IaC proficiency with Terraform.
Hands-on experience with machine learning accelerators (GPUs, TPUs, or Trainium)
Track record of leading complex, multi-quarter technical initiatives that span multiple teams or systems
Ability to build alignment across senior stakeholders and communicate effectively at all levels
Preferred qualifications
7+ years of software engineering experience, including time as a technical lead setting direction for a team
Experience managing large scale compute infrastructure at hyperscale (10K+ nodes), including capacity management and efficiency
Depth in one or more of: Kubernetes internals (scheduler, autoscaler, kubelet, Karpenter), cluster orchestration systems (Mesos, Borg-like), or node provisioning pipelines
Low-level systems experience: kernel, virtualization, device drivers, firmware, or hardware health/diagnostics daemons
Familiarity with high-performance networking (EFA, RDMA, InfiniBand) for distributed ML workloads.
Demonstrated ownership of production reliability for high-throughput, latency-sensitive systems
Contributions to relevant open-source projects (Kubernetes, Linux kernel, container runtimes, etc.)
Skill in quickly understanding systems design tradeoffs and keeping track of rapidly evolving software systems
