ABOUT US
Sierra is the leading platform for customer-facing AI agents, working with many of the world's biggest brands — including The GAP, Rocket Mortgage, SoFi, Sutter Health, and SoftBank — to transform how they serve customers and grow their businesses. We are primarily an in-person company based in San Francisco, with growing offices across North America, Europe, and Asia.
We are guided by a set of values that are at the core of our actions and define our culture: Trust, Customer Obsession, Craftsmanship, Intensity, and a commitment to balancing Family along the way. These values are the foundation of our work, and we are committed to upholding them in everything we do.
Our co-founders are Bret Taylor https://www.linkedin.com/in/brettaylor/ and Clay Bavor https://www.linkedin.com/in/claybavor/. Bret currently serves as Board Chair of OpenAI. Previously, he was co-CEO of Salesforce (which had acquired the company he founded, Quip) and CTO of Facebook. Bret was also one of Google's earliest product managers and co-creator of Google Maps. Before founding Sierra, Clay spent 18 years at Google, where he most recently led Google Labs. Earlier, he started and led Google’s AR/VR effort, Project Starline, and Google Lens. Before that, Clay led the product and design teams for Google Workspace.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Drive high-impact security and infrastructure initiatives end-to-end. Lead complex, cross-functional programs spanning cloud infrastructure, platform security, identity and access management, detection and response, vulnerability management, and secure software delivery from problem definition through execution and sustained outcomes.
- Own execution, planning, and program health. Be accountable for sequencing work, managing dependencies, tracking risk, and ensuring delivery of Sierra’s most critical security programs, with clear milestones and outcomes.
- Help shape Sierra’s security strategy. Partner with security and engineering leadership to define priorities, investment areas, and execution plans that align risk reduction with platform growth, customer trust, and long-term scalability.
- Build and strengthen security foundations. Drive programs that establish durable security primitives such as identity boundaries, access controls, logging and detection baselines, incident readiness, and secure defaults that future teams and features can confidently build on.
- Translate ambiguity into clear execution. Decompose loosely defined security, risk, and compliance challenges particularly in emerging AI domains into structured programs, prioritized workstreams, and measurable outcomes.
- Lead communication and alignment. Provide clear updates to leadership on program health, risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs; surface issues early and drive cross-functional alignment.
WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
- Engineering: Infrastructure, Data Platform and Agent SDK engineers to shape technical requirements, manage dependencies, and deliver resilient systems.
- Security & GRC: Security engineering, risk, compliance, and privacy partners to align on threat models, control strategy, audits, and risk management in a rapidly evolving AI landscape.
- Product and GTM: Product, Agent Development, and Sales to operationalize security commitments and respond to sophisticated customer and regulator expectations.
- Legal: On security terms, third-party risk, and contractual obligations.
- Executive Leadership: Senior leaders who rely on you for clarity, prioritization, and confidence in Sierra’s security strategy and execution.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Experience running security-focused technical programs in fast-growing SaaS or platform environments.
- Strong technical fluency across cloud infrastructure, IAM, infrastructure as code, observability, secure CI/CD, and incident response.
- Ability to execute through ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and keep teams moving.
- Comfort operating in environments where things aren’t fully built yet and helping decide what needs to be built first.
- Clear, concise communication with senior technical and business leaders.
- A collaborative, pragmatic style with high ownership and high agency.
EVEN BETTER...
- Experience scaling security programs globally in AI-first or data-intensive SaaS environments.
- Exposure to emerging AI risk, data governance, or agent and model-related security considerations.
- Experience supporting security initiatives in public-sector, regulated and/or multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Relevant security, cloud, AI or technical program management certifications.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, PCI DSS, FedRAMP, HIPAA)
OUR VALUES
- Trust: We build trust with our customers with our accountability, empathy, quality, and responsiveness. We build trust in AI by making it more accessible, safe, and useful. We build trust with each other by showing up for each other professionally and personally, creating an environment that enables all of us to do our best work.
- Customer Obsession: We deeply understand our customers’ business goals and relentlessly focus on driving outcomes, not just technical milestones. Everyone at the company knows and spends time with our customers. When our customer is having an issue, we drop everything and fix it.
- Craftsmanship: We get the details right, from the words on the page to the system architecture. We have good taste. When we notice something isn’t right, we take the time to fix it. We are proud of the products we produce. We continuously self-reflect to continuously self-improve.
- Intensity: We know we don’t have the luxury of patience. We play to win. We care about our product being the best, and when it isn’t, we fix it. When we fail, we talk about it openly and without blame so we succeed the next time.
- Family: We know that balance and intensity are compatible, and we model it in our actions and processes. We are the best technology company for parents. We support and respect each other and celebrate each other’s personal and professional achievements.

BE YOU, WITH US
We're working to bring the transformative power of AI to every organization in the world. To do so, it is important to us that the diversity of our employees represents the diversity of our customers. We believe that our work and culture are better when we encourage, support, and respect different skills and experiences represented within our team. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't precisely match the job description. - Collaborate with GRC on the intersection of product design and regulatory obligations, including software supply chain security expectations and emerging regimes such as the EU Cyber Resilience Act.
- Support IP strategy, including trademark usage guidelines, brand protection in product and marketing contexts, and coordination with outside counsel on IP matters.
- Monitor and analyze legal and regulatory developments affecting developer tools, open source, cloud services, and AI, advising the organization on necessary updates and adjustments.
- Help build scalable playbooks, templates, and self-service resources that allow Product and GTM teams to move quickly within well-defined guardrails.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing in at least one U.S. state bar.

- AI-Native work capability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex legal concepts into clear, actionable guidance for Product Managers and Engineers.
- Sound, risk-calibrated judgment and a bias toward practical solutions that enable the business.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and to manage competing priorities independently.

Backed by a $100 million investment from Bertelsmann and operating from offices in Hamburg, Boston, Singapore, and Tokyo, adjoe is defining the next stages of app and ad experience – right now. Join us.
We are seeking a Senior Solution Architect to support the product and technical dimension of adjoe’s most critical enterprise relationships. Acting as the "Technical Lead" for our top-tier partners, you will merge complex partner roadmaps with our modern stack – powered by Golang and Native SDKs – to drive technical excellence for over 100 million daily users.
Your mandate is to bridge the gap between our technology team in Germany and the partner’s vision. You will collaborate with senior product and engineering counterparts, acting as a point of contact for all technical discourse. This is a role of deep technical empowerment: You have direct access to our entire cloud infrastructure – from real-time monitoring and logging to our extensive data lakes – to maintain a comprehensive, full-picture view of the system state. From investigating complex architectural issues to supporting the rollout of new, high-impact features, you ensure our stacks evolve in perfect sync.
Working as a key collaborator with our internal Product and Tech departments, you will act as the technical gatekeeper and advocate for our largest enterprise accounts.
What You Will Do:
- Technical Strategy & Execution: Act as the primary consultant for enterprise partners, architecting the technical path to success. You will play a key role in guiding the co-creation of new products in partnership with our Germany based tech team, validating and optimizing technical solutions directly with our top partners to ensure they are battle-tested before reaching full-scale production.
- Orchestrate the Joint Technical Roadmap: Support the technical lifecycle of the partnership, leading complex feature rollouts and managing integration timelines.
- Root-Cause Architecture & Proactive Mitigation: Put on your "detective hat" to lead high-stakes troubleshooting by going beyond the surface of mobile app code to conduct deep-dive root-cause analysis, proactively identifying and solving integration blockers before they impact the partner’s revenue.
- Data-Driven Consultancy: Leverage SQL and Python (or others) to aggregate and visualize complex datasets, translating raw data into technical narratives that help partners reach their KPIs.
- Voice of the Customer: Translate partner feedback into precise technical requirements for internal Product teams to unlock global scalability.
- Enterprise Account Ownership: Serve as the dedicated technical point of contact for key enterprise accounts, owning relationships with senior stakeholders across product, engineering, and leadership. You will support executive-level technical discussions, manage escalations, and proactively drive account health.
Who You Are:
- 5+ years of experience in a technical-client-facing role in AdTech, Big Tech, or SaaS (TAM, Sales Engineering, or Solutions Architecture), with some exposure to the mobile ecosystem.
- Must have: Professional fluency in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
- Proven enterprise account experience: You have directly managed key enterprise accounts, navigating complex stakeholder environments and acting as a trusted technical advisor to senior client contacts.
- The Tech-Architect: Expert at translating high-level requirements into specifications. You are equally comfortable discussing SDK initialization and REST endpoint latency with a Senior Product Owner as you are debugging HTML/JavaScript.
- Analytical Powerhouse: Proficient in SQL and data visualization. You have extensive experience using analytics dashboards such as Grafana, Tableau, QuickSight, or Kibana to find the "why" behind the numbers and drive strategic technical decisions.
- Mobile & App Native: (Huge Plus) Familiarity with Java or experience building/supporting mobile apps with a "sixth sense" for debugging SDK integration issues.
- Cross-Functional Catalyst: A natural collaborator who can navigate internal Engineering & Product teams to find solutions in high-pressure environments.

About the Opportunity
As a Staff Engineer, y
ou'll own the
build-out of our security engineering
and DevSecOps capabilities: designing
and developing the security
products, platform services, and
SDKs/Agents that embed protection
directly into how code is
written, built, shipped,
and run.
This is a
role for someone with
real depth in security,
broad coverage across the
stack, and the engineering
muscle to ship. Just as important is
the ability to drive
adoption — security that
lands in complex,
fast-moving business environments
rather than sitting in a
policy document.
What You’ll Be Doing
Architect and build our end-to-end DevSecOps platform
and the SDKs/Agents behind our security products, covering code, build, artifacts, images, deployment, and runtime.
Lead runtime protection through RASP and Java Agent
— bytecode instrumentation, runtime hooking, and detection/interception engines using ASM, ByteBuddy, and Instrumentation, with continuous tuning for performance, stability, and compatibility.
Integrate and productise scanning capabilities
across SAST, DAST, IAST, SCA, code scanning, and image scanning. You'll embed tools like SonarQube and Coverity deep into CI/CD and close the loop from detection through blocking, remediation, and re-test.
Go deep on application security offence and defence
— designing detection, remediation, hardening, and counter-measures for XSS, SQL injection, SSRF, deserialisation, command execution, authentication/authorisation flaws, and API security.
Bring AI-native security engineering to life.
Apply LLMs and AI Agents to vulnerability analysis, rule generation, false-positive attribution, remediation guidance, security knowledge capture, and engineering automation — and build a coherent view of the architecture, mechanics, and security implications.
Embed as the security technical expert inside engineering teams,
driving security standards, onboarding specifications, release gates, risk tiering, and remediation mechanisms that measurably lift the security baseline and delivery quality.
Partner across engineering, architecture, SRE, QA, and business teams
on priority projects, solving the genuinely hard security problems and turning the solutions into reusable platform capability and repeatable practice.
What We Look For In You
Strong computer science and security fundamentals
— deep understanding of operating systems, networking, compilers and the JVM, distributed systems, application security, cloud-native security, and supply chain security. Both breadth and depth.
Expert-level Java,
with hands-on depth in the JVM, ClassLoader, Java Agent, ASM, ByteBuddy, bytecode instrumentation, and performance profiling and tuning. Plus working proficiency in Python or Go.
Substantial production experience with RASP, SAST, DAST, IAST, SCA, image security, and code scanning
— enough to design a capability, integrate the engine, build the platform around it, and take it to scale independently.
Real offensive and defensive experience.
You understand the root causes, exploitation paths, detection logic, bypass techniques, and fixes for common web, API, and microservices vulnerabilities — and can design from both the attacker's and defender's point of view.
Fluency with LLMs and AI Agents,
including a considered view on model capability limits, agent architecture, tool calling, context engineering, evaluation methods, and how AI is reshaping both security engineering and the attack surface.
Strong engineering execution paired with product instinct
— able to lead the design and delivery of security products, platform modules, and SDKs/Agents while balancing security outcomes against performance overhead, integration cost, and long-term operability.
Exceptional ownership,
cross-team communication, and the persistence to move security governance, rule enforcement, and remediation through to a clear result.
Nice to Haves
Security engineering experience at a top-tier internet company, cloud provider, or leading security vendor
You've led the build of a DevSecOps platform, application security platform, RASP, code scanning platform, or cloud-native security platform
Background in security product development, SDK/Agent engineering, vulnerability research, red team exercises, or purple team work
Shipped AI + Security work — security copilots, intelligent rule generation, automated analysis, or remediation recommendation systems
Perks &
Benefits
Competitive total compensation package
L&D programs and Education subsidy for employees' growth and development
Various team building programs and company events
Wellness and meal allowances
Comprehensive healthcare schemes for employees and dependants

Aptos is a people-first blockchain on a mission to help billions of people achieve universal and fair access to decentralized assets in a safe and scalable way.
Founded by some of the original creators and maintainers that researched, designed, and built the Diem blockchain to serve this purpose, we have dedicated several years toward this mission. We believe the open-source Diem technology we have developed is an important foundation of a safe and scalable web3 world where everyone has more equitable opportunities to grow and access financial assets with lower fees and fewer intermediaries.
Aptos (Ohlone for "The People") encompasses our mission and ethos for why we build.
About this role
Aptos is a high-performance Layer 1 designed for financial services: sub-second settlement at sub-cent cost, production reliability institutions build on, and native stablecoins including assets exclusive to the network. We are consolidating our commercial efforts into one financial services company — payments, tokenization, and trading — and payments is the first chartered business: a ring-fenced unit with its own P&L, an exclusive global settlement partnership already signed, first-party products already shipped (keyless onboarding, multisig treasury, confidential payments), and clear evidence gates at 90 days, 6 months, and 24 months.
This role is the founding technical leader of that unit. You are hire number one of the engineering team, and the build you lead defines the business.
What you'll own
The Aptos Payment API.
Spec, ship, and run the single API businesses integrate against — wrapping partner infrastructure today, with an orchestration engine routing across a licensed partner network as the business earns it. You write the spec bottoms-up from partner and client requirements.
Partner-facing engineering.
You are the technical face of the unit: requirements intake, integration leadership, and technical diligence with banks, EMIs, PSPs, stablecoin issuers, and e-wallet platforms. You can run those calls alone and write the requirements doc after.
The trust infrastructure.
Revenue attribution and reconciliation (the system that proves which volume is ours), a single-window KYC/KYB integration, a testnet sandbox that lets any prospect try the stack before compliance onboarding, and a native-asset-only settlement policy — no bridges.
Integration with the trading stack.
Our trading team builds the RFQ liquidity and tokenized-FX systems; you own the payments side of that seam — routing corridor FX through their venue, defining the API contract between the two systems, and making the handoff invisible to clients.
The team and the calls.
Hire and lead the first two engineers; grow the team only as revenue triggers fire. Make the build-vs-buy decisions (orchestration components, KYC tooling) with written memos at each gate.
Your first 90 days
Publish the Payment API v1 spec and ship the testnet sandbox.
Stand up revenue attribution v1 and harden USDT/USDC settlement rails to production grade.
Ship the first client integration hands-on, end to end.
Draft the orchestration build-vs-buy memo that frames the unit's biggest technical decision.
These are not aspirations — they are the unit's first gate, and the role's report card is the engineering column of the business's scorecard.
What we're looking for
8+ years building payment infrastructure at production scale — PSP or orchestrator-class systems: cross-border rails, on/off-ramps, virtual accounts, reconciliation.
Hands-on chain-native settlement experience: stablecoin rails, ramp integrations, wallet infrastructure. Move or Rust a plus; strong engineering judgment on any stack a must.
Front-facing gravitas: banks, issuers, and regulated partners treat you as a peer. You've led external technical relationships, not just internal roadmaps.
A product engineer's instincts: you build bottoms-up from what clients and partners actually need, and you treat existing internal products as assets to resell — not constraints to build around.
Player-coach by default: you ship code, then hire people better than you at parts of it.
Nice to have
APAC corridor experience — e-wallet ecosystems, QR rails, regional licensing landscapes.
Enough FX and market-structure fluency to be a strong counterpart to the trading team on the RFQ integration.
Working familiarity with payments regulation (money transmission, MiCA, Singapore PS Act) — enough to design with counsel, not practice law.
A prior 0→1: founding engineer, first technical hire, or owner of a product line from blank page to revenue.
Why this role is unusual
Distribution is solved before you start.
An exclusive settlement partnership routes committed volume to the network — you build against real flow, not hoped-for flow.
The business is chartered.
Written gates, a stop condition, and growth triggers tied to revenue — you'll always know exactly where the business stands and what your work must prove next.
The scope compounds.
What starts as one API becomes an orchestration network and a tokenized-currency framework, integrated with a trading venue's liquidity — the technical agenda grows with every gate the business clears.
You define the org.
Every engineering hire after you is your call, made against revenue evidence.
