📍 Manila, Philippines | Relocation required
Salmon is a technology-driven financial company building a banking and lending platform across Southeast Asia, starting in the Philippines.
We combine global fintech expertise with deep local market knowledge to make financial services simple, accessible, and useful for millions of people across the region.
7M+ app downloads. 2M+ monthly active users. 7,000+ partner stores. US$310M+ raised from leading global investors.
Manila-based, globally distributed, and hybrid-first — our team spans 45+ countries.
If you want to solve complex problems at scale and impact how millions of people access and manage money, come build with us.
Southeast Asia's fintech moment starts here.
About the role:
You'll build Salmon's digital employer brand engine — getting the specific talent we want to hire onto our radar and converting online attention into qualified candidates.
What you'll do:
- Turn Salmon's EVP into targeted campaigns for the segments we actually want to hire — Engineering, Data, Product, across local and global markets — and run them across LinkedIn, Telegram, Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, and the other channels where that talent spends time.
- Build digital funnels end to end — audience segmentation, campaign mechanics, landing pages, lead capture, retargeting, and conversion — using AI and automation to run research, content, and reporting faster and more scalably.
- Turn strong employees into digital ambassadors and grow Salmon's presence in the online communities where target talent already spends time — and work with Recruiting on candidate quality, objections, and funnel drop-off to keep improving hiring conversion.
What you'll own:
- Own the digital employer brand strategy and execution across priority markets and talent segments, activating the EVP across every candidate-facing touchpoint.
- Run LinkedIn organic and paid — audience targeting, testing, optimisation, and reporting — and build presence in relevant Telegram channels and professional groups.
- Build platform-native employer brand presence on Instagram (incl. Threads), TikTok, Reddit, and niche communities where talent researches careers, companies, and relocation.
- Develop employee digital advocacy: identify the right ambassadors, shape content with them, and help them build a credible external voice.
- Design talent-marketing funnels, campaign landing pages, and candidate journeys from first interaction to recruiter handoff — and keep career-site and job-board presence fresh and converting.
- Manage online reputation and brand mentions across search, communities, and review platforms — and own the analytics that tie digital activity to qualified candidate outcomes, from reach through to hire.
What makes you a strong fit:
- Strong experience in employer brand, talent/recruitment marketing, digital or growth marketing, or audience development — with the ability to build positioning and campaigns for specific audiences.
- Deep understanding of digital channels and their mechanics, especially LinkedIn organic and paid, and how audiences behave differently across platforms.
- Proven ability to build and optimise digital funnels and performance — not just run a content calendar — connecting digital activity to candidate quality and hiring outcomes.
- Hands-on experience with UGC and employee advocacy, plus creating or launching landing pages and lightweight journeys with no-code tools or a CMS.
- AI-native: you use AI tools, agents, and automation by default to scale research, content, analytics, and repetitive work.
- An owner, builder, and strong executor who takes a direction from 0 to 1 and keeps tuning it — works hands-on, decides on data, and re-prioritises quickly. English C1.
What we offer:
OWNERSHIP AND FLEXIBILITY
- Stock option plan — four-year vesting with a 25% cliff after the first year
- Hybrid-first work environment
- Company-provided tools and equipment
- Office in Bonifacio Global City, Manila — a modern, walkable district at the centre of the Philippines' growing tech scene
HEALTH AND TIME OFF
- Medical insurance support for you and your family through co-funding or reimbursement, depending on your location and subject to policy limits
- Access to an internal mental health support specialist
- 22 vacation days, Philippine public holidays, and 15 sick days
- 105 days of paid maternity leave and up to 14 days of paid paternity leave for employees relocating to Manila
RELOCATION AND FAMILY SUPPORT
- Relocation support for you, your family — including flights, two weeks of accommodation, visas, paperwork, and logistics
- Reimbursement of eligible pet relocation expenses
- USD 2,500 per year for flights home
- Baby and family stipends for employees relocating to Manila: USD 1,000 per month for each child under two and USD 500 per month for each child aged two to 18
GROWTH AND TEAM EXPERIENCE
- Opportunities to learn and share your expertise through internal expert meetups, external conferences, speaking opportunities, and industry publications
- Company-sponsored trips to Manila to meet and work with your team in person
- Regular team offsites, sports activities, and team events
- High-performing teams can earn a dedicated beach house week in Southeast Asia
We believe strong teams are built by people with different backgrounds, experiences, and points of view. Salmon is an equal opportunity employer, and we make hiring decisions based on skills, experience, and potential.

About Paired
Paired is a global staffing and recruiting agency that specializes in pairing remote work with top-tier talent!
We are dedicated to connecting talented individuals with remarkable companies in need of their skills. Our goal is to create fulfilling job opportunities for professionals around the world.
About our Client
They're a
direct-to-consumer subscriptio
n brand that has gone from
zero to a multiple nine-figure run
rate in under
three years
— completely bootstrapped, with a small, lean team spread across the globe. No outside capital, no board, no bureaucracy. We sell across our own D2C site, Amazon, and TikTok Shop, with a subscription retention engine underneath it all.
They grew fast enough that structure never caught up with scale. That is the problem this role exists to solve.
The role
The CEO currently has roughly 25 people, agencies, and suppliers reporting to him across Customer Service, TikTok Shop, Amazon, Operations, Retention, and Finance — plus a running list of ~20 ad hoc growth projects. There is no layer between him and the work. Every decision, follow-up, deadline, blocker, and loose thread routes to one inbox.
The Chief of Staff is that layer. You will own the operating system of the company: who owns what, how they're measured, what they committed to, and whether it actually happened. You'll also own a rotating portfolio of high-leverage projects end to end, and you'll handle the CEO's calendar, inbox, and meeting follow-up so his time goes to product, partnerships, and P&L.
This is not a coordination job.
You are expected to get into the weeds
, do the work yourself, push people, and
raise the standard
. You start reporting directly to the CEO with influence rather than formal authority — and as you prove you can handle it, you'll be given the authority to escalate, reassign, and put underperformers on a plan.
Where this goes:
if you crush this role, the path is C-suite or President within two years. That is a real offer, not a recruiting line.
What You'll Do
Own accountability and urgency across every function.
Each person and agency has KPIs, deadlines, and commitments. You track them, follow up individually, unblock what's stuck, enforce urgency, and make sure the owner knows they own the outcome. Functions include TikTok Shop (8 people), Amazon (agency of 5), Operations (3 suppliers, 3 in-house), Retention (email agency, in-house dev, media buyer), and Finance (3 in-house, 1 agency).
Build the process map of the entire business
. Every role titled and defined, every responsibility documented, every recurring workflow written up as an SOP, every doc and tracker findable, a clear reporting and ownership structure, and clear written criteria for how someone earns a bonus, earns a promotion, or gets let go.
Triage everything currently flowing to the CEO
. For each item: handle it yourself, route it to the right manager, automate it, or kill it. The goal is that it stops reaching him.
Own high-leverage projects end to end.
You'll be handed ad hoc projects — growth initiatives, new channel tests, vendor negotiations, systems builds — with a goal and little else. You scope them, run them, hire or coordinate whoever is needed, and report meaningful progress in a weekly check-in without being managed step by step.
Turn conversations into tracked action
. Sit in on calls, capture decisions and action items from meetings, Slack, and WhatsApp, assign owners and dates, and chase them to done.
Run the CEO's calendar, inbox, and meeting prep.
Full ownership — scheduling, prioritization, prep material, follow-up.
Raise the bar on the people around you. Give direct feedback, flag underperformance early, and help managers hold their own teams accountable rather than
doing it for them forever.
Requirements
Must-Have
Demonstrated ability to learn fast and independently. If we hand you ClickUp on a Friday and say "know it by Monday," you find YouTube tutorials, book a consultant call, and figure it out yourself in a few hours. We don't care what tools you've used — we care that you can teach yourself anything.
You're smart and hands-on. You need to reason through complex business problems and handle people well enough that they want to deliver for you.
Genuine humility. Zero ego. You take direct feedback well, ask for more of it, and are never "above" the work. If a spreadsheet needs cleaning at 11 PM, you clean it.
Willingness to do the work yourself. This role manages and executes. Delegating without getting your hands dirty is a disqualifier.
Comfort with ambiguity and total ownership. Given a problem in a domain you know nothing about, your reaction is excitement, not fear.
Directness. You give and receive blunt feedback without it becoming personal or political.
Real work capacity. This is a 50-hour minimum role with frequent nights and weekends. We're a startup that moves quickly and we're honest about what that costs.
Availability during US Eastern hours within the 9:00 AM – 12:00 AM ET window.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Nice-to-have
A track record of excellence in a competitive environment. Top marks academically, a strong university, high-level competitive sports or esports, elite early-career roles, a company you built — something that shows you've been in a room full of winners and held your own.
E-commerce experience — D2C, Amazon, or TikTok Shop especially.
Subscription or retention business experience.
Prior Chief of Staff, founder's associate, consulting, or investment banking background.
Experience building SOPs, process documentation, or operating cadences from scratch.
Experience managing agencies and offshore contractors.
Note on weighting:
soft skills outrank hard skills here. A candidate with less e-commerce experience but smart, hands on, humble, faster learning speed, and a stronger record of excellence beats a domain expert who's rigid or ego-driven. Hire for the athlete.
Benefits
Base: $6,000 – $8,000 USD/month, depending on experience (negotiable for the right fit!)
Bonus: 20% of base annually, tied to project completion and KPI attainment
Structure: W-2 or 1099 — your choice
Remote: Work from anywhere, as long as you cover Eastern hours
Growth: Direct, stated path to C-suite or President within two years for the right performer
The Culture
They move fast, communicate directly, and don't sugarcoat feedback. There are no politics, no vanity titles, and no tenure — you don't get status here for having been around. You keep what you kill: results drive promotions, bonuses, and authority.
Everyone here holds absurdly high standards for themselves and the people around them, and the standard keeps going up. Good is never the finish line. If that sounds exhausting, this isn't the right fit. If it sounds like the environment you've been looking for, it's rare that you get it at this scale with this little bureaucracy.

We’re looking for a Senior Cinematographer to define how Perplexity looks on film. Working with the Creative Director and Video Lead, you’ll translate our visual identity into a practical cinematographic language, then bring it to life across the team’s day-to-day output.
This is a hands-on role. One day you’re shooting a candid office moment or executive interview with a small kit; the next, you’re leading a full camera and lighting crew on a brand film. Most of your time goes to prepping, testing, lighting, and shooting.
You’ll also help build and run our in-house studio, from selecting gear and designing flexible lighting setups to keeping the space production-ready. When turnaround is tight, you’ll support media management and light editing.
You’ll report to the Video Lead and work closely with the Video Producer, Brand Lead, designers, motion designers, Growth, Comms, Product Marketing, and external production partners. The Producer and Video Lead handle crewing, budgets, schedules, and logistics so you can stay focused on production and craft. However, you should think like a storyteller, not just a technician, bringing your own ideas for how to show our product and people more vividly through moodboards, shot lists, storyboards, and a willingness to experiment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Partner with the Creative Director and Video Lead to define and evolve Perplexity’s cinematographic language, and turn it into repeatable approaches for lighting, lensing, composition, movement, and color.
- Shoot and light a steady mix of day-to-day content: candid office moments, executive interviews, product demos, social, events, and documentary stories.
- Lead cinematography on brand films, campaigns, partnerships, and launches.
- Scale to the work: operate solo with a minimal kit, lead a small crew, or help build a full camera, lighting, grip, team (with help from producers).
- Bring storytelling ideas to the table through moodboards, shot lists, storyboards, and experimentation.
- Own camera, lighting, and movement decisions from creative development through capture: build packages, run tests and tech scouts, and solve constraints before the shoot.
- Recommend crew and equipment for each production and lead the camera and lighting departments on set. Producers handle budgets, schedules, contracts, and logistics.
- Help design, build, and run the in-house studio, including lighting, audio, grip, and monitoring.
- Own the team’s gear: recommend, purchase, organize, and maintain it, with ready-to-shoot packages so no setup gets rebuilt from scratch.
- Handle color grading in DaVinci Resolve, and support selects, stringouts, and light edits when turnaround is tight.
- Keep the visual standard high across formats and crew sizes without overbuilding.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 6+ years as a cinematographer or DP across branded, commercial, documentary, and interview work.
- A standout reel showing visual authorship, lighting craft, camera movement, and an eye for honest, unscripted moments.
- A strong point of view, paired with the sensitivity to work within and strengthen an existing brand.
- Deep command of camera systems, lenses, exposure, color pipelines, lighting, grip, and on-set monitoring.
- Genuinely hands-on: equally comfortable building a camera, shaping light, operating, troubleshooting, and leading a crew.
- The judgment to make premium images under real constraints, solo with a small kit or leading a full production.
- Strong pre-production instincts: turning a creative idea into a technically sound, right-sized plan.
- Experience briefing and leading freelance crews and vendors on set, and managing professional production equipment.
- Working proficiency in DaVinci Resolve for color grading, selects, and light edits.
- Collaborative and low-ego. You bring a strong opinion, take direction, and solve problems with partners.
- Comfortable moving fast in an ambiguous, high-output environment without compromising craft, safety, or footage.
- Based in or able to work on-site in San Francisco, with flexibility for travel and long shoot days.
NICE TO HAVE
- A strong Bay Area and Los Angeles network of camera, lighting, grip, sound, production, and rental partners.
- Experience within an in-house brand studio at a technology or consumer company.
- Strong documentary instincts and experience working with founders, executives, talent, or people who are not professional performers.
- Experience with multi-camera interviews, live events, tabletop or product cinematography, motion-control systems, or virtual production.
- Color-grading experience and a strong understanding of how capture decisions carry through finishing and delivery.

You'll run product marketing, brand, content, and design as one team, report directly to our revenue leadership, and see your work show up in the pipeline within weeks, not quarters.
We are looking for leaders that thrive in a fast-paced environment. Ex-founders thrive here.

for the right candidate
Day In The Life
Positioning & Narrative:
Own Workstream's positioning and messaging end to end, including the biggest open strategic question we have: leading with our restaurant dominance vs. the broader frontline-workforce story. You'll test it, not debate it.
Product Launches:
Run GTM launches for a portfolio that now ships AI products (like our AI assistant for frontline teams) alongside hiring, HR, and payroll. Messaging, pricing & packaging input, launch plans, and the enablement that makes Sales dangerous in the first week.
Brand & Content:
Lead our content and design team across the website, case studies, video, webinars, and social. Raise the bar on everything customer-facing, and use AI to produce at a pace a team twice our size couldn't match a year ago.
Working with Sales:
Arm AEs and partnerships with narratives, competitive teardowns, ROI stories, and customer proof. Sit in on deals. Talk to lost prospects. Change the message when the market tells you to.
Team Leadership:
Manage and grow a small, high-output team of product marketers, content marketers, and designers, and be the strongest IC on it when it matters.
Who You Are
Slope over pedigree:
5+ years in B2B marketing with real product marketing depth, but we care more about what you've shipped and how fast you're improving than the logos on your resume.
Management experience
: You have built and led hungry and dynamic marketing teams in the past.
Founder energy:
you've started something (a company, a category, a function from zero) and you default to action; former founders welcome!
A writer and an operator:
you produce sharp positioning yourself, and you build systems so the team produces it without you.
AI-native:
you already use AI agents across your daily work and you'll push the team to do the same.
Commercially ruthless:
you measure marketing in pipeline and revenue, not impressions.
Hungry:
you outwork the market and you want the scope of a VP role earlier than a big company would ever give it to you.
Experience with SMB buyers, hourly/frontline workforces, HR tech, or payroll is a strong plus.
Travel & Location
Willing to relocate to San Francisco; in-office at least 4 days per week
Occasional travel for customer visits, conferences, and team events
What We Offer
Pay directly to your bank account (once a month)
Health Insurance
Flexible PTO
Follow Singapore Holidays
Company-issued device will be provided
Workstream will process CPF and taxes
Experience using AI to automate repetitive and data processing tasks.
Prior exposure to code-based automation workflows (e.g. Python scripts, APIs, Zapier, or similar) - no need to know how to code!
Familiarity with common marketing tools (e.g. HubSpot, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager)

PlanetScale is growing rapidly and reinventing the database space. Our database platform offers developers the fastest and most reliable Postgres and Vitess/MySQL databases, enabling businesses to efficiently handle data and workloads of all sizes.
PlanetScale is backed with over $100M in venture financing from top-tier VCs including a16z, Kleiner Perkins, SignalFire, and Insight Venture Partners. And we serve some of the most innovative companies in the world such as Block, Anysphere (Cursor), MyFitnessPal, Etsy, Kick, and thousands more. Our customers entrust us with what is often their most precious digital asset, their data, so the stakes couldn't be higher.
We're looking for a Brand Designer to help shape and evolve the visual identity of PlanetScale across all touchpoints. In this role, you'll be a key member of our Marketing team, translating complex technical concepts into compelling visual stories that resonate with developers and technical decision-makers. You'll craft everything from in-person event experiences to web graphics, merch designs, and creative website assets that make databases feel exciting.
What's the job to be done?
Visual Brand Development
Design web graphics including technical diagrams, illustrations, and interactive visual assets that simplify complex database concepts.
Create compelling visual systems for campaigns, product launches, and marketing initiatives.
Design for multiple formats and contexts: digital, print, experiential, and merchandise.
In-Person Experiences
Design booth graphics, signage, and environmental branding for conferences, meetups, and community events.
Collaborate with the events team to create memorable, on-brand experiences that stand out
Design merch that developers actually want to wear and use.
Create branded collateral including banners, posters, stickers, and promotional materials.
Website and Digital Assets
Design creative website components and landing pages.
Design data visualizations and technical diagrams that make complex information accessible.
Create social media graphics, blog post imagery, and other digital marketing assets.
Develop templates and design systems that enable the team to move quickly.
Brand Evolution
Collaborate with marketing leadership to evolve and expand the PlanetScale brand identity.
Explore new visual directions while maintaining brand coherence.
Document design decisions and maintain brand guidelines.
These attributes best describe you.
A strong portfolio demonstrating versatile design skills across digital, print, and experiential design.
Deep understanding of design fundamentals: typography, color, composition, and visual hierarchy.
You've figured out where AI actually helps in a design workflow and built process around it.
Comfortable working in both brand and production modes. You can think big picture and execute in the details.
Strong communication skills with the ability to both articulate design decisions and understand direction.
Self-directed and able to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
Collaborative spirit with the ability to incorporate feedback while maintaining creative vision.
What else will help you be successful.
Experience designing for technical or developer-focused brands.
Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and other design tools.
Comfortable using AI to build a working first draft of a page rather than handing off a static mockup.
Understanding of design systems and component-based thinking.
Enthusiasm for learning about databases, infrastructure, and developer tools.
